Halloween SW - 2016

Hibiscus seeds? Torn. On the one hand, I'm a plant killer. On the other hand, hibiscus are some of my favorite flowers. Off-color needlepoint? I believe my opinion on this has been registered in the thread. For convenience sake, though, here it is again - some of it is awesome. I don't like trinkety things, but I would not be opposed to this. What interests you from the latest (pre-Halloween) BPAL update? From Lilith, I'd try decants of the following:

- A Little More Tea
- Conencting Flight
- The Great Python Snake
- Heel
- My Little Grotesque
- O Joy Of My Spirit!
- The Great London Spaghetti Hunt
- Tag-Upon-Avon Like beer? What kind? Booze? Same question! Yes, no IPAs. I like the extremes - super pale wits or chocolatey stouts. Booze, I love it. I also have a fully stocked (no, seriously *fully* stocked, citric acid anyone?) bar, so I'd prefer not to get more unless 1.) you made it or 2.) it's a cool local variety. I do not drink vodka or tequila. Knitted items? Type? Add me to the list of people who appreciate handmade goods but live in hot climates. I'm in Louisiana, we have very little winter. There are a handful of knitted items in my etsy favorites (mostly accessories and small creatures) that could be cool to get something similar to. Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? I get itchy with some wool, but I'm not a big synthetics fan. Not sure what's left after that. Caramel? With chocolate? Salted? As long as it's not too gloopy or over-sweet Would you want a quilted pot holder? Sure! Do you have any preferred flavor of shortbread? Nope, would be good with any flavor. Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? Sure, why not. Homemade Food? Yes to homemade food, but no canned/preserved goods unless you actually know what you're doing please. Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK?/Is there anything you would like to get from Japan? For these and all other locality questions - I LOVE getting items that are local to you, but there's nothing in particular that I want from any specific places. Any local items that fit my other likes/dislikes would be perfect. Socks/sockdreams/etc? Again, I live in Louisiana. My son could use a pair or two of cute socks with grippy bottoms. We haven't bought him shoes yet since he's still learning to walk, but we do let him toddle about on our patio with socks on. Anyone a nail polish fan? What colors interest you? I have an extensive zoya collection, but it's getting a bit old and has been going unused because I never have time. I'll probably be taking advantage of the trade in to dispose of polishes without feeling guilty. That said, if you find anything really unusual (odd mattes, cool flaky glitter, etc.) I'd take it in red, purple, blue, or silver. . Would you object to re-using of clean mailing materials? Nope, and I'll also go on record as saying that I'm cool with all used items (books, clean body products, etc) Who here is a Raging All THINGS HARRY POTTER fan? Not me, sorry. Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?) Yes. In fact, pumpkin pie (and it's sub-ingredients) is one of the only good things about fall. I will say, though, that when I do store bought "pumpkin spice" flavored things, I often find it too sweet. What types of things do you like to wear? My pinterest boards and etsy favorites do a pretty good job of sharing my tastes, and I've waxed lyrical on them in past rounds. I have a strict color scheme, shared in my questionnaire. I work from home, but I amassed a pretty extensive work and party wardrobe right before I switched to working from home. So, I feel bad buying clothing but also wish I had a few more casual items. I'm always on the lookout for good jeans, cozy but not too heavy pullover sweaters in my winter colors, and linen or nice sleeveless tops in my warm weather colors. I've also been searching for a red cardigan and black jewelry that would work for both work and casual occasions. I have been considering buying t-shirts with actual things printed on them - preferably in the webcomics/geeky range - but I always second guess it any time I start to buy something (I've put the Think Geek "No" shirt in my basket and then taken it back out so many times now, usually with the NASA onesies for kiddo making a joint trip. Also the blue version of the Oglaf Derp Fox Shirt from TopatoCo.). I prefer feminine cuts that are shaped but not too tight. I've also been on the lookout for good pajamas. Does anyone like fleece character hats? Like these: like-fleece-hat? What kinda characters would you like to see? For me, not really. For my kid, f-ing adorable, but I'm not sure he'd actually keep it on his head. Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween? No, we don't. We've never really figured out our halloween decor. For a long time, we lived in apartments where we couldn't really decorate outside (and I don't have my act together enough for seasonal indoor decorating). Then, when we finally moved to a house where we thought we'd get trick or treaters, we started decorating only to have a family emergency that took us out of town 3 days before halloween. After that, we've thought "oh, we should decorate" but haven't really done it. Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive? Outdoor. See above about not having my act together for indoor seasonal decor. Wreaths, solar or battery powered string lights, and small stand alone items (e.g. the little baby sugar pumpkins) or others things of those sizes/shapes/configurations would fit best on our porch. What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre? I like a more elegant look, but Halloween does cry out for a bit of whimsy. It'd probably work best to do something more fall than specifically halloween themed, cause I'm too lazy to change decor that often. Hubby and I are big Gomez & Morticia Addams fans. What's your candy preference? Chocolate. Then more chocolate. Candles, wax melts/tarts? No thanks Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there? Yes, linked in my sig. Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay? Maybe the lip balms, otherwise nothing really catches my eye. If you're a writer type, would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings. I could use a cool planner. Something with calendar pages that have a lot of room to write things in. I could also use nice, blank note cards. If you want yarn, what colors do you want? Not a yarn user A color palette would be lovely if you use Pinterest. Or just want to post palette photos in your blog. My pinterest fashion board has a lot of color combos that I like, and my questionnaire and past swap answers give extensive info on the colors I use for my clothing and home. Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc. Hmm, maybe. I'm trying to get my act together to sew pants for my kid and pajama pants for myself, but it hasn't really happened. I'm a beginning sewing machine user, so nothing complicated to sew with. I prefer 100% cotton or other natural fibers. We buy a lot of geeky stuff for the kiddo (robots, dinosaurs, science jokes) and I like solid black or other dark colors for pajamas. If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer? Wow, this is an evil question. So great, too hard. I can get it down to 3, not in ranked order: 1. original art, 2. jewelry, 3. consumables (food, drink, bath, home good, whatever it is as long as it can be used up). Sorry for cheating so egregiously. What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer? No coffee, my grandparents own a coffee farm. I'm so over stocked on tea it's not even funny. I could use a sturdy pitcher or carafe with a top that could hold cold brew and ice tea in the fridge. What are your favorite fandoms, if any? Lots of webcomics (Queen of Wands, Something Positive, Questionable Content, Oglaf, and anything Spike Trotman of Templar AZ touches are favs), Star Trek, Firefly. BPTP products? Pre-owned okay? Sure, but I prefer sample sizes. Also, used everything is ok. Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay? I use 4 thieves oil as an everyday scent (and think the branded "Thieves" blend is bs). Eucalyptus is helpful for the winter months. Favorite animal? Dog love Twilight Alchemy Lab oils? No, and on that note I prefer not to receive any items of any sort that have "intent" or magical purpose. Elements & Artifacts has a fall/halloween collection up? Anything catch your eye?/And speaking of shops from BPAL folks, any favorites in the stores on the SW Stalking and Services Spreadsheet? I try to favorite items from etsy shops on the spreadsheet pre-round and periodically throughout. Mind you, I in no way expect you to buy those things (some are super pricey), I just think it's fun to look through everyone's craftiness. Also, just because something isn't favorited doesn't mean I don't like it. I just get distracted easy. In case you can't tell Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in? Nothing in particular Ren Faire? Sure! Big Ren Faire fan (speaking of - have you hear the Rambling Sailors?) I like useful things (skirt clips, household goods), jewelry, consumables, and hair toys especially. I'm considering a piratey costume (the Navigatrix) so sailing and navigation themed items would be fun. Honey? Yes. I love all things honey, and my Father In Law is a mead maker. Coloring Books? I don't need them, but I think the adult coloring book thing is cute and wouldn't mind getting one. Kiddo is still too little. Would you be interested in Kings Game by Lisa Millraney Maybe. On the one hand, it looks cool and I love supporting other BPAL people. On the other hand, I don't have an e-reader. Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc? No thanks (see "no items with intent" comment). Although, if you make these and are particularly excited, my FIL is a druid so I could maybe pass them on. Anyone hankering for Craftsy classes? Whoops, missed the sale. I don't see any must haves, but beginning sewing, drawing, wire-wrapped jewelry making, and photography could be cool. More advanced savory cooking is welcome too. Realistically, I barely have time to answer these questions, so... Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? Card and board games for sure! We've got Forbidden Island, Cards Against Humanity, Apples to Apples, Wits and Wagers, Uno, Rumicube, and a million decks of cards/pairs of dice. We are always on the hunt for fun party and co-op games that don't take a million hours to play. Tarot/Cryptids No thank you. Weenies The beverages are catching my eye - Fizzy Jack O'Lantern, Pumpkin Latte, and Spiced Autumn Cider. Yipe has me wondering whether it will be amazing or gross. Oddly tempted by the Dead Leaves series. Something about that one is just calling to me this year. I vastly prefer decants to bottles (I have never finished an imp, let alone a bottle). Pepper powders? Sure! Nothing too spicy and not too much (I have a crazy overflowing spice cabinet right now). Erotica/BSDM Yes. For literature, I like things with a very strong non-sex plot where the sex is either important to the story or so hot you don't care that it's added in. I've read Meilin's Intimate History and almost all of the Kushiel/Naamah books. Something new would be appreciated. As far as non-literature items go, it'd be a bit odd for me actually. I could deal with cheeky or themed items ("It's not going to spank itself" underwear, Morticia and Gomez memes, etc.) but I wouldn't be particularly interested in receiving... implements? from a stranger. NYCC Scents? I don't do florals or leather, so it's a bust for me Would any witchees be interested in strawberry, pumpkin & apple, or milk flavor Pocky? pumpkin could be interesting Though I've been playing with sculpee lately and like making sort of character or fandom inspired bead/pendants, would that be something you'd like or have use for? maybe a pendant if it was subtle enough to pass for "regular" jewelry BPTP Weenies The dead leaves hair glosses sound interesting Witchee, would you like (would you wear?) a long wrap choker? here's a random image of one I found on google. Yes, I love that type of necklace. Ginger or spearmint? Typically mint. I do like gingerbread, though Commercial candles, etc? No thanks, the scents usually bother my lungs Thinkgeek sale Nothing that I'm absolutely crazy over, but there are some cool items - solar orbit necklace, planetary plush, planetary glasses, and maybe the lego bookends or the minibru coffee press. Do you subscribe to any boxes? What kinds of things do you like from them? I do not, but I've considered bark box and quarterly a few times (too expensive). I did try one of the snack boxes once, but it didn't work out for me. Rancho Gordos bean club and any similar things for whole grains are on my list to try Any makeup/body/skin type stuff you'd like to get samples of? Nothing in particular, but I wouldn't mind receiving them if you've got them to send.

I'm following along with one of the master question lists, and I've noticed that it's out of date. I've tried to add missing things, but if I skipped something you care about just poke me.

EML298's Switch Witch Fall 2016 Questionnaire Addenda :)

Note to my witch: I'm also doing the 13 Nights swap, and some of these have come up. I'm gonna copy and paste. Also, there's a lot more info in that blog entry - and the ones from prior years!

9/25/16

I'm a honey affecionado (I really love honey) and our renn Faire has a local honey booth we go to every year and our trip is coming up. Anything from http://www.beefolks.com/default.asp suit your fancy in particular (honey or otherwise since they have other products?) Hand cream, lip balm, and maybe a flavored honey that'd be good in tea or cocktails? Somewhere in one of these questionnaires I described a drink I had with lavender-infused honey and vodka that was fantastic!

Any other renn Faire goodies in general? I have a friend who is a wood carver there and they make adorable geeky pins amount other things and Harry Potter wands? Here are the artisans there:http://www.rennfest....mation/artisans Oh my! Thats a LOT of links! I am guessing there are quite a few things that would interest me, Witch, but I am sorry to say I don't have time to click into all of those right now and still get you my answers right now (though it'd be fun to explore later!). I think I've been fairly detailed in some other questionnaires. If you get a sense of "me" from that, and you see something you think I'd like, you're probably right!

9/24/16

The second part of the Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in? I have tried some things and while I love the aesthetic and the customer service, I don't think their bases and my skin are a good match.

I'm going to the NY Renaissance Faire tomorrow- anything you'd like me to look for? I like idea of Renn Faire and have enjoyed some in my life, though years back. Can't think of anything specific, but I've given lots of preferences in the SW ?aire this year and all my prior entries.

Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc? Hmm...I am uneducated here. I like the aesthetics of "witchy" stuff, but I have no knowledge and therefore it may be lame for me to use them? I could learn? I am curious.

Anyone hankering for Craftsy (http://www.craftsy.com) classes? Through tomorrow all classes are $20 or under. I missed this one, I think. However, I would be interested in learning some basic wood cutting skill so I could build small tables or, say, BPAL storage boxes.

Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? Feel free to elaborate on preferences for any of the above! I enjoy strategy games and puzzles, but prefer them to be electronic. I use apple products, but there's a PC in the house.

9/23/16

Would you be interested in Kings Game by Lisa Millraney? I love the idea of supporting a fellow BPALer - sure.

Would you like any brown paper bags of "seconds" from Seattle Chocolates? Um, you had me at chocolate.

Elements & Artifacts has a fall/halloween collection up? Anything catch your eye? I like this viking pendant in blue/water and these earrings.   And speaking of shops from BPAL folks, any favorites in the stores on the SW Stalking and Services Spreadsheet Lots of things there are interesting. Surprise me!
9/22/16

Would you like some hair falls? I can make a single (ponytail) or double (for pigtails). Short, long, types of yarns, ribbons? Extra things (buttons, beads, wire wraps? Colors/color combinations? Stuff to avoid? So, I *want* to be a person who has a place to wear something like this. But, instead, I am mostly at home and at the (conservative) hospital where I work. I worry that it'd be so beautiful but I'd have nowhere to wear it.

9/21/16

Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there? Oh! I'm EML298 on etsy. Not recently updated, but you can get ideas/themes for sure!

Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay? Love the aesthetic, didn't have the best luck with using them.

would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings. Hmmm...I used to love them, but now I tend to do digital stuffs. I *do* enjoy fun pens, and have to write a lot at work (notes that get shredded once I enter documentation in medical record, but the pens make me happy while doing it and sometimes start conversations that feel safe with new patients).

If you are ok with knitted things, what colors do you like? Black, white, blue, gray - primary for me. Purples and greens are also allowed.
If striping, what two (or more) colors together? Black and white? Black and blue?
If you want yarn, what colors do you want? Beautiful yarn would be wasted on me. I have no yarn skill. I'm sure my cats would like to play with some leftovers? Their favorite toys are wool balls.
--- A color palette would be lovely if you use Pinterest. Or just want to post palette photos in your blog. I'm Elizabeth Lat on pinterest, and I do have some home decor type things there.

Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc. See above. Fabric made into something? Great. Not so? Not so much.

What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer? I know this may be irritating, but I have answered this question in detail multiple times in other questionnaires on my blog. tl:dr; = bring on the coffee (caff or decaf) and (predominantly decaf/herbal) tea.

If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer? Probably original art. I have several paintings I treasure from BPALers (swaps). I have seen some gorgeous, goth-y crocheted (or knitted, do I even know the difference) items by TwilightEyes and others. I have culled my BPAL collection down so much (350-400 bottles) down to about 50-55 now, and I dream of a beautiful wooden box to put them in with round holes to hold each bottle in place (so they don't all slide around when I take one out), but have no idea where to find such a thing.

What are your favorite fandoms, if any? Buffy + Angel predominantly. I love Charmed, X-Files, and Twin Peaks, but never ventured outside only watching the shows.

Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use? Would not use products tested on animals or overly floral fragranced items. Do use LUSH Full of Grace serum + Celestial daily. I need HIGH octane moisture x 1million in a serum and a moisturizer for my face. I'm flexible with cleansers. Would be open to other products if they fit the above characteristic.

Bath/shower products? Yes. (?) I use LUSH gels (mostly The Olive Branch + Blue Skies. I've used Hot Toddy, and recently gotten but not opened Snowcake and Sonic Death Monkey (the latter of which I diabolically love and has been discontinued). I use a Foreo Luna Mini to clean my face, and a poof to scrub with.

BPTP products? Pre-owned okay? Yep. Yep.

Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay? Yes to essential. Very picky about blends made from fragrance (other than BPAL) that are NOT essential oil blends. Not so picky with anything essential oil.

Favorite animal? Unicorn? Narwhal? Horse? I want a golden retriever, and have a Sphynx and a Lykoi. I like them a lot!

Twilight Alchemy Lab oils? Curious. Uninformed. Don't do rituals, but am curious and intrigued by the mindfulness aspect.

9/20/16

Authors - Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter. Heard of them? Love them, hate them, or eh?

Knitted things. Specifically scarves/cowls and shawls.....grabby hands or not? Favorite colors? Are you allergic or sensitive to any textiles, ie wools, cashmere, nylon, metallic threads, mohair, alpaca? Knitted washcloths? For the kitchen or for the bath? And again, colors??

Candles or wax melts/wax tarts?

9/19/16

Speaking of snarky, who's a fan of The Mincing Mockingbird? Cute! I wasn't familiar with this, but I DO like snark!

Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween? We do have some pieces *meant* for Halloween that are out all year (i.e. skulls). We have additional things we put up for Halloween only - I'd say we do mild to moderate amounts, and more gothic in nature than kitschy.

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive? We have no yard as we are renting an apartment currently, so indoor only.

What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre? I suppose classic! Skulls and bats for the win!

What's your candy preference? I don't love jelly inside of things, and I am not a fan of all.nuts.all.the.time, but I do enjoy peanut butter flavored/filled things, almonds, and most chocolate delights. I like sweet/sour things and I do like candy corn at this one time of year. I think I'm pretty flexible with candy!

Does anyone like fleece character hats? Like these? http://wonderlandonline.storenvy.com/collections/354444-anime-video-games/products/13089516-pusheen-like-fleece-hat What kinda characters would you like to see? Cute, but not for me.

9/18/16

Who here is a Raging All THINGS HARRY POTTER fan? I love the aesthetic of Harry Potter, but I have only seen two of the movies and not read the books yet. So, I *like* related stuff, but I'm not informed about it?

Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?) Yes.

9/17/16

Is there anything you would like to get from Japan? I'm sure there is, but I don't know what. I've seen cute stationery, but I don't write letters. So, pens? Teach me!

Would you object to re-using of clean mailing materials? I encourage it, and do this myself!

9/16/16

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK? Probably? But I don't know what. If it fits with the preferences I've entered, I will love anything you choose!

Socks/sockdreams/etc: From 13Nights answer: Oh! Space Dyed Terry Shorties - these are the BEST socks I've found for some warmth, fitting in my shoes, and being friendly to plus sized ankles. LOVELOVELOVE. And I have but the one pair. I would love more (in cool colors, black). I am open to any socks that aren't mean to my ankles.

Anyone a nail polish fan? What colored interest you? Yes, but I have a lot. I prefer cool tones, generally dark blue or black. However, I am interested in that neutral - what is it? Hail Satin or something like that from the Post.

9/15/16

How do you feel about knitted stuff?
Fancy? Plain?
Sure! I love the texture, and I've seen several amazing examples knitted by BPALers. I live in Maine, so scarves, gloves, socks, or basically anything for warmth would be welcome. Second answer (related question about yarn): I like things made of yarn, especially since I cannot make them myself. That said, I have a pretty particular aesthetic (more modern than tradiional/country). I have seen many gothic pieces on Facebook and in threads like these from BPALers who do art that I covet. With scarves, etc., the longer the better for me. I like chunky, cuddly stuff.

What types of things do you like to wear?
Comfortable with an edge, mostly black and white with some blue.

I'm into beer. How 'bout you? No!
Styles? None.
And booze? Yes, mostly clear ones. Vodka is my fave when I drink (which isn't that often), but I do enjoy other liquors for special kinds of drinks.

How do you feel about caramel? Very, very good.
Salt or no? Either!
With chocolate or without? Both/either. I do not love it with fruity, goopy stuffs.

Would you be interested in home made food items?
- garlic dill pickles - I'm not sure I'd be into this, though it sounds curious.
- blackberry jam - I like jam, but I don't love a lot of seeds in my jam.
- dried honey crisp apples - NOM!
- applesauce (with or without red hots) - I like apples in all forms. Never had with red hots.
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting) - Not sure about this.
- honey from our bees - I like honey. Someone recently put lavender-infused honey in a cocktail, and it was brilliant.
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over) - This sounds interesting - kinda like the lavender-infused liquor in the drink with the lavender-honey I just mentioned!
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike? (Pasted from 13Nights) Yes! No allergies, and I'm not the world's biggest fan of nuts, though I occasionally enjoy them in baked goods if they are not overly generous in the present. I do enjoy almonds. I like moist as opposed to dry baked goods (i.e. sticky as opposed to cakelike brownies). I like cookies. I probably like much that you might bake.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I usually make flat bottom round pouches with a pocket inside and a drawstring. Possibility of embroidery if we still have the huge commercial machine. - Hmmm...not sure.

And to go along with the previous knitting question...
Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?) Oh! I covered this above - no allergies! I like non-itchy fibers. I like to be able to machine-wash things due to dust allergies.

Would you want a quilted pot holder? Sure - so long as it leans modern or gothy-y (think Nightmare Before Christmas) in nature as opposed to traditional/country. I'd love it!

Do you have any prefered flavour of shortbread? Oh! I've only ever had butter, I guess.

9/14/16:

What are you interested in from the recent BPAL and BPTP updates? (Lilith, Lunacy, etc.)
(from 13Nights) Oh good grief. So much. I have worked hard to minimize (are you tired of hearing reading this from me yet?), but this update looks good.
BPAL ~ Motherhood
Want to sniff but pretty sure it'd be more the experience than for wearing:
Baby's First Krampuslauf
Connecting Flight
Dinnertime at the Diviner's Hut
Funerary Papyri
Lilith and Sekhmet
My Little Grotesque
Plush Viscera
The Devil Will Find Work for Idle Hands
The Twelfth
The Wolf and the Rattlesnake?
Waiting
Think I might love it:
Good Morning, London
Motherhood
Reapers Gonna Reap
Outlaw
Texare
BPTP ~ Fatherhood
Want to sniff but pretty sure it'd be more the experience than for wearing:
Goofin' at Stonehenge
Places, Everyone
The Great London Spaghetti Hunt
Think I might love it:
Lilith's hair gloss
Tag-Upon-Avon
Guessing I'll need 11billion bottles
The Serpentine
Would you like hibiscus seeds? I have horrible light in the few windows in this apartment in Maine. Thus, while I generally would love them, I may not be able to provide the best environment *unless* they don't need a ton of light.

Off-color needlepoint? I don't know what off-color means. I have seen a few cool needlepoints, and if you can make a not-country one, so be it! ETA: so, post-anesthesia brain has worn off. Yes - bring on the inappropriate humor!

Elements & Artifacts has a fall/halloween collection up? Anything catch your eye? The Vampire Queen bat necklace is adorable! I also like the Queen Mab and the Sugar Skull necklaces.

And speaking of shops from BPAL folks, any favorites in the stores on the SW Stalking and Services Spreadsheet? From cyrenemyst, I do like the Gears Under Glass and Inner Works. From WunderWolfDesigns, I like both the spiderweb necklaces. I'd also love anything from Disney World that deals with Maleficent or Ursula, especially enamel pins, XL shirts, or ankle socks!

The second part of the Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in? Spider Silk! I'd be interested in Burnishing Amber and Sleepy Time.

I'm going to the NY Renaissance Faire tomorrow- anything you'd like me to look for? I'd love a pedant or necklace with some kind of fairy glow element, if they have it.

9/23/16

Would you be interested in Kings Game by Lisa Millraney? Not sure.

Would you like any brown paper bags of "seconds" from Seattle Chocolates? Almond Roca, yum!

Would you like some hair falls? I can make a single (ponytail) or double (for pigtails). Short, long, types of yarns, ribbons? Extra things (buttons, beads, wire wraps? Colors/color combinations? Stuff to avoid? Sure, medium brown and purple; medium brown and cobalt and black. Double or pony would be great. I like long, would love yarn. Wire might be cool.

9/21/16

Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there? Yes, it's linked in my signature. I think I'm mymymai there.

Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay? Yes, but I'm picky. I love the Dark Lip Elixirs.

Would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings. Snarky or spooky greeting cards, perhaps, as far as stationary. Otherwise, I'm horrible at journal writing and rarely write letters other than cards.

If you are ok with knitted things, what colors do you like? Yes! Black, Teal, Cobalt, Purple, Oxblood, Silver.
If striping, what two (or more) colors together? Black and white all the way.
If you want yarn, what colors do you want? No, I need to go through my current stash.
--- A color palette would be lovely if you use Pinterest. Or just want to post palette photos in your blog. Teal, Black, White

Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc. Yes! All the Halloween, esp. Nightmare or Baroque skull / bat designs. Frankly, anything batty would be perfect. I generally like cottons, but would take fleece (esp. Dr. Who fleece) to make blankets.

Tea/Coffee: My preference is tea all the way, especially David's tea (Earl's Garden, Cream of Earl grey, Buddha's Blend) and East Indian Tea Company (Milk Oolong). Loose leaf all the way. I don't like coffee at all.

Handmade: I would love some original art (crows, Cthulhu, Halloween scenes) or something sewn using Halloween fabrics like a makeup pouch or something along those lines.

Fandoms: Penny Dreadful, The Last Unicorn, Beetlejuice, Dr. Who, Star Trek (Next Gen), Otto and Victoria, Sanrio, Echo Chernik. Edited: I forgot to add 1980s MLA, Thundercats, Neil Gaiman, Lenore, EA Poe, Elvira, Cthulhu (of course), RuPaul's Drag Race, Labyrinth, David Bowie.

Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use? Moisturizer or masks unless they are from Lush, Eminence, those cutesy Japanese designed masks in pouches, or anything from Fresh. My skin is really sensitive if anything is left on it for any duration.

Bath/shower products? Sure, but sulfate and paraben-free, please.

BPTP products? Pre-owned okay? Sure.

Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay? No.

Favorite animal? Cat - my future self if I become reincarnated after a self-less life. Ah, who am I kidding, if I come back, it will be as a hamster.

Twilight Alchemy Lab oils? Sure!

9/20/16

Authors - Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter. Heard of them? Love them, hate them, or eh? I haven't, but I'd be interested.

Mohair is my allergy. I'd be pleased with knitted things, especially gothy shawls in black, cobalt, or oxblood. Home color scheme: teal, black, white.

Candles or wax melts/wax tarts? Only the Voluspa. I'm good on everything else.

Hibiscus seeds? Sure, but I'd also welcome veggie seeds.

Off-color needlepoint? Yes! I'd love a "Fort Asshole" sign to hang above our small kitty den.

What interests you from the latest (pre-Halloween) BPAL update? Outlaw for sure.

Like beer? What kind? Booze? Same question! My husband loves beer. Me? Not so much. I prefer sake or absinthe.

Knitted items? Type? I'd love gothy knitted items, like a skull patterned shrug or black lace-looking gloves.

Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? I can't do angora, blue I love alpaca blends.

Caramel? With chocolate? Salted? Yes! I adore salted caramels and salted chocolates.

Would you want a quilted pot holder? No, we have plenty of pot holders.

Do you have any preferred flavor of shortbread? I don't really eat bread.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I could use a pouch to hold sewing notions.

Homemade Food?
- garlic dill pickles Yes!
- blackberry jam Not really
- dried honey crisp apples Yes!
- applesauce (with or without red hots) Sure.
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting) Yes!
- honey from our bees Yes!
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over) Yes!
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike? I'm trying to stay away from traditional sweet baked breads as I'm trying to go low carb / no gluten. Almond flower or coconut bakes goods would be good.
Do you have any preferred flavor of shortbread? No thank you.

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK? Yes! Milk Oolong of fragrant Earl Greys. Socks from Cyberdog. Any unusual condiments that the US doesn't get.

Is there anything you would like to get from Japan? Anything! I love regional arts like temari, kokeshi, Edo Kiriko, Hakone-Yosegi-Zaiku marquetry, trinkets from shrines, incense from shrines (please, I'm almost out!), Japanese candies, matcha anything, and sour plum tea.

Would you object to re-using of clean mailing materials? Please do. I do as well.

Sock Dreams? I adore the store! I'd love the nordic stripe crew, alethea cashmere crew, amanita muscaria crew, bast striped over the knee, bioluminescent spores crew, or the deborah grey printed knee highs. Edited: Thank you for the gift card, my dear Witch. I ended up getting the Alethea Cashmere Crew!

Does anyone like fleece character hats? Like these? http://wonderlandonline.storenvy.com/collections/354444-anime-video-games/products/13089516-pusheen-like-fleece-hatWhatkinda characters would you like to see? I think I'd prefer the caplets. I don't wear traditional hats or beanies all too often.

Who here is a Raging All THINGS HARRY POTTER fan? I wouldn't say raging fan, but decent appreciation of. I have a few wands and some appropriate Slytherin apparel.

Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?) Pumpkin spiced tea or chai is always a go. I like soap of that ilk, but not perfumes or home scents.
Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween? Everyday is Halloween. We vamp it up outdoors for the holiday with grave stones, cobwebs, pumpkins lining the steps and eyeballs hanging from our trees. We have a year-round haunted house decal with an orange moon and gravestones that stays up year-round, as well as our small flock of zombie and skeleton lawn flamingos. Inside, we have a silvered decorative skull, some spooky images, stuffed ghostly or creature plushes (Cthulhu and the ilk), ravens feathers, Baroque skull dish towels, circus stripe comforter, and a few smatterings of spooky goodies indoors year-round. We usually add in our skeleton figures and a couple LED items inside, but the budget and time I have hasn't let me go as crazy as I'd like.

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive? Both would be most welcome. Pink yard flamingos I can modify to join my spooky year-round flock will earn you lots and lots of bonus points. Those flocked velvet candelabra at Michael's and silvered pumpkins and JoAnns are calling my name, but I've sworn to be good. I'd love stuff like this, this, this, this, and/or this.

What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre? I'd say elegant Victorian.

What's your candy preference? Super dark chocolates (75%+), caramels, candy corn in small quantities, cinnamon bears, red hots, licorice anything.

Speaking of snarky, who's a fan of The Mincing Mockingbird? I hadn't heard of it before, but interested.

Possibility of embroidery if we still have the huge commercial machine. - I cannot stress this enough, if my witch should choose to make something for me with her hands, and take the time and effort to think it out and work on it, then I would happily accept it and find a use for it.

And to go along with the previous knitting question...
Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?) -I don't really have a preference to what the fiber is, as long as it isn't scratchy.

and finally,
What's your candy preference? Chocolate of course, all but white, and I absolutely adore the treacle toffees, or Molasses toffees- can't get enough!

Candles or wax melts/wax tarts? I will do either, but please refrain from oceanside-y scents or anything too foody

Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there?
I believe this is on the spreadsheet, but its witcharoo

Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay?
I have never even heard of it until now, so I am now going to check it out so checked it out and I would be willing to try out the dead sexy line, if you were so inclined.

would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings.
I love all stationary- nice pens (I use a fountain pen for day to day), fancy papers, pretty journals, they can be lined or not, and a nice planner would do well for next year. I prefer spiral bound for an organizer, and book bound for journals, and colored pages are fine as well.

If you are ok with knitted things, what colors do you like?
I love knitted things and the colours I like are all the jewel tones and black.
If striping, what two (or more) colors together?
Black and anything, usually only two and never more than three together though..
If you want yarn, what colors do you want?
--- A color palette would be lovely if you use Pinterest. Or just want to post palette photos in your blog.

I would love some yarn, and I will make a pinterest board specifically for pallets of colors, but Im pretty much all over the place. J

Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc.
I would go with the same color pallets as the yarn and I also have a fabric board as well. I am currently collecting charm squares for a random coloured quilt top I want to make. You can also look at my quilts board as there is tons of stuff on there too. Although right now I am little desperate for a layer cake pack or a fat quarter pack of Tula Pinks Elizabeth fabric collection

What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer?
I dont do coffee but teas are good, I just seem to drink as much of it these days. I have liked Davids Tea, Twinnings (the irish breakfast one is a sure go)

Authors - Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter. Heard of them? Love them, hate them, or eh?
I havent read anything from either of them but I would be willing to give it a go J

I think I've pretty well answered this in the above, but Witch, if you need more specifics, just let me know!

So, Witchee, I make hair falls (you can see a few examples in my woefully out of date Tumblr here: http://lovelybluekarou.tumblr.com )
Would you like some hair falls? I can make a single (ponytail) or double (for pigtails). Short, long, types of yarns, ribbons? Extra things (buttons, beads, wire wraps? Colors/color combinations? Stuff to avoid?

They are lovely but not for me, Thank you

NYCC Scents: There are none that scream at me to get them, but if you pressed me to pick one, it would be Mrs. Bunce.

Tarot Cards: No thank you.

Cryptozoology/cryptids (Big Foot, lake monsters, chupacabra, etc.): While I am not headlong into discovering them , Wikipedia did show me exactly how many there are- wow! I don't know that I have a favorite, but I think it could be fun

So, the Weenies came up and I am surprised at how many caught my eye, which is no good for my bank account:

*Witch Dance
A Kneeling Child Watching a Ghost, Devil, and Puppet Making Mayhem in a Room
*Dead Leaves and Lavender buds
This Wan White humming Hive

Hibiscus seeds?
No thank you. We have a hibiscus plant that has utterly taken over the backyard.

Off-color needlepoint?
Yes please. I have a pretty wicked sense of humor. *waggles eyebrows*

What interests you from the latest (pre-Halloween) update?
More than I expected! I’m very interested in all of the current Lunacy offerings: Leda, Coconut Meat SN, Starstruck: Libra
From the Lilith/Motherhood update:Scents I'm curious about and want to try (decants would be excellent):
"A Little More Tea"
"Baby’s First Krampuslauf"
"Connecting Flight"
"Good Morning London"
"Heavenly Spark"
"Little Lady Frankenstein"
"O The Joy of My Spirit!"
"Stonehenge at Dusk"
"Texare"

Scents I'm pretty sure I want/would buy:
Reapers Gonna Reap
Spider Witch
The Great Python Snake

From the Trading Post:
I'd love to try:

Lilith's hair gloss
Tag Upon Avon
The Great London Spaghetti Hunt

and i'm pretty sure I "need"
The Serpentine

Like beer? What kind? Booze?
I used to love a good dark Stout, but unfortunately being gluten free that’s not really an option. I’ve not yet found a gluten free beer I really like, because they tend to be very light. But I am open to gluten free craft beers! Just be careful that they aren’t “gluten removed” beers. Those aren’t really gluten free and will make me sick.

Most liquor is gluten free, but if there’s added colors or flavors you may want to check. This is a really handy list/guide that’s up to date:
http://urbantastebud.com/gluten-free-alcohol-list/

If it’s something homemade like everclear with added herbs or flowers, it should be fine as long as barely, malt, and wheat aren’t included.
Malt beverages (like wine coolers) are NOT gluten free and no good.

My preferred liquor is Gin. I used to hate it, so now I love it, but I’m a bit of a snob. Hendricks is my absolutely favorite. I also love flavored liquors. I tend to prefer fruity or floral but not sweet, drinks. I have a fondness for cordials and liquers.

Knitted items? Type?
I love the idea of knitted stuff, but being in Florida there’s not much opportunity to wear them. Loose knit and knitted “lace” would be best. I do have a thing for fingerless gloves as most indoor venues (including my office) are kept freezing cold to combat the heat. I tend to prefer jewel tones and/or earthy colors (muted, sea-blues and greens and grays).

Caramel?
Love it. Salted. With Chocolate. With Marshmallow. With fancy flavorings. It’s just gotta be gluten free (it usually is).

Would you be interested in home made food items? Yes, as long as they are gluten free/made in relatively gluten free area. (I know regular kitchens can’t be totally gluten free, but as long as it’s not near bread or flour or anything).
Also! If something contains apple, just let me know so I don't let the significant other have it. (He can't tolerate apple)

YES!!! To all of the below, especially rose petal liquor.
- garlic dill pickles
- blackberry jam
- dried honey crisp apples
- applesauce (with or without red hots) maybe no red hots
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting) YES! I love elderberries and elderflowers
- honey from our bees
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over)
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike?

Baked goods are pretty much out, unless your kitchen is completely gluten free.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? It depends on the size and shape. Drawstring pouch bags maybe not, but something like a side bag, messenger bag, purse, yes!

Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? No allergies here! I’ve not had enough experience with yarns to have a preference, except all of my experience with acylic is that it’s been really itchy. I have no issue with animal fibers.

Would you want a quilted pot holder? (for me no because i make them)
Actually I need pot holders, of different sizes, so yes!

Do you have any prefered flavour of shortbread?
I have a fondness for shortbread of any flavor. Earl Grey and Lemon are favorites, but again, it's gotta be gluten free, and made in a gluten free kitchen.

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK?
I'm not sure. I don't think so? Maybe tea?
Socks/sockdreams/etc?
Yes! I've been wanting more funky socks, and some more knee highs but I'm not sure exactly what I want. Stripes are always good. I'm also on the look out/in need of "sock tape" or something that will keep knee highs and high socks from slouching. I haven't looked at the sockdreams site in years though so I don't know what I want anymore.

Is there anything you would like to get from Japan?
I'm not sure. I really miss Japan (I visited in 2007) but now that I'm gluten free I can't really partake in the food goodies. I like anime but there's nothing immediate that comes to mind that I'd want.

Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?)
Yes!!

Motherhood 2016

A Little More Tea
Lilith says that the Mad Hatter should smell like tea (EARL GREY!) with honey and cream and lots and lots of cookies.   I want to try it but I'm afraid of what the honey note will do on me. Decant worthy.   Babys First Krampuslauf
Dark chocolate and a hint of woodsmoke.
None of these notes really work for me, I'm safe.   Caldarium
Mulberry and honey myrtle with flax and rosemary.   This is not my jam.   Circus Bear
rose, gardenia, styrax, and frankincense splattered with cotton candy and the white glop in the middle of Oreos

Not something I'd enjoy but a cool concept!   Connecting Flight
The distant scent of black coffee spiked with coffee liqueur and dusted with cinnamon.

I think I'll pass on this one.   Dinnertime at the Diviners Hut
Tomato leaf and frankincense.   Eugh I hate tomato leaf.   Funerary Papyri
Myrrh and papyrus reed with a smear of vanilla cream frosting.

I bet this is nice but it's not grabbing me. Maybe I'll watch reviews.   Good Morning, London
A scent for my bed-headed September 2nd Virgos: lavender for Lilith and amber for Brian.

#2 on my "buy a blind bottle" list from this update. Def want.   Heavenly Spark
the echoes of the incense smoke of hundreds upon hundreds of years curling around roses and oak branches.

I don't do awesome with roses but again, sounds lovely!   Heel
The scent of our backyard in summertime, the scent of Lilith trying to explain to Pickle how to heel correctly: honeysuckle, late summer jasmine, and mowed grass.   Definitely want to try a decant. I got Goofin' with Stonehenge and that's already got a grass note. But I love honeysuckle!   Holy Trinity
Soft riverbank soil, winter daffodils, fog-damp grass, curled pondweed, and frankincense.

Earthy, loamy scents don't work well for me usually.   La Milagrosa
clusters of mariposa and mahoe, sprays of black orchid, loves red roses, and a thin drift of cigar smoke.   Pass.   Lilith and Sekhmet
Blood wine and amber.   Pass.   Lilith and the Four Sons of Horus
Golden honey and cassia.   I'm afraid this would go to powder on me but lovely sounding.   Little Lady Frankenstein
This should smell like electricity and potions.
I did my best, kid.

Oh man I want to know what this is like so bad! I love ozone. Watching for reviews and definitely need a decant. Maybe a bottle...   Motherhood
Snake Oil, lavender, bubblegum, and gummi bears.   You lost me at bubblegum.   My Little Grotesque
Lilith expressing herself at the V&A: cardamom-dusted cupcakes.

Mmm cardamom. I want to try this one badly. Possibly blind bottle badly.   O The Joy of My Spirit!
Crooked hazelnut and tonka with a touch of cacao and black pine.

I really want to test this but idk about pine? Decant and watch reviews.   Outlaw
This one is for my little bandit: sarsaparilla, leather, and vanilla cream.   Hmm my husband perked up at this one so maybe a bottle.   Perfect Fifths
Bow rosin and bubblegum.   Nope!   Plush Viscera
Lilith says this should smell like blood and guts, but also strawberries. We came to a compromise through a combination of Dragons blood resin, myrrh, and smushed strawberries with a little bit of lavender. She sprays lavender essential oil on her plushies every night before bed, so she thinks plush innards should get the same treatment.   So curious, but I dont think I'll buy it. Review stalk.   Reapers Gonna Reap
Lilith says this perfume should smell like pretty meat bones, and her translation of that is a musky vanilla sandalwood.

Yes yes yes I'm buying a bottle yes.   San Cristóbal de la Habana
Cubas white ginger blossoms, guava pulp, and mango with a touch of white tobacco and sea salt.   Decant shortlist   Spider Witch
My little witch, my little lilt of laughter: this scent is for the sorceress you are and the sorceress you will grow to be. 7-year aged patchouli, red musk, and bourbon vanilla with sweet oudh, hazelnut, amber chypre, leather.

Interested and potentially decant worthy...Bottle? Idk   Stonehenge at Dusk
Wiltshires burnt-tip orchids, a scattering of dandelions, crushed grass, wild daffodil, and chips of fog-wet bluestone.

I picked up the trading posts stonehenge scent so pass.   Texare
This scent is inspired by the colors of the yarns she chose that day: raspberry pink, cherry red, sky blue, and lime green, all swirled with frankincense, black oudh, mallow root, and sweet wooly vanilla husk.

Again, not for me but cool and I want to stalk reviews!   The Devil Will Find Work for Idle Hands
This scent is a ridiculous mélange of blue cotton candy, strawberry marshmallows, and whipped cream with sprinkles.

Too sweet but very fun!   The Great Python Snake
Lilith says that Kaa smells like the jungle, so for her and for the Great Python Snake, Ive bottled an impenetrable canopy of thick, vine-draped trees, primeval flowers blooming in the shadows, and dark, wet earth that has not been touched by sunlight in a millennia.

Pass.   The Library of John Dee
Worn leather bindings, the dry crackle of ancient paper, styrax and onycha, frankincense, a drop of candle wax, and the barest fleck of dried Tudor roses.   Curious but will watch reviews.   The Twelfth
This is the scent of room service vanilla ice cream and leftover cake with a little bit of banana.

Home girl doesn't do banana.   The Wolf and the Rattlesnake
NO NOTES LISTED

SO CURIOUS! decant?   Vampire Night at the Movies
An odd mix of salted popcorn, butter, clove, and a few drops of stage blood.

Again, pads.   Soooo...maybe a few bottles. Will wait for weenies.

Switch Witch Oween 2016 Condiments

Hibiscus seeds?
No thank you- currently in a condo and alas no where to plant despite really adoring hibiscus.   Off-color needlepoint?
Sure! I love things that can be useful but decorations or a book mark wouldn't go amiss.   What interests you from the latest (pre-Halloween) update?
Crap almost everything. I'll likely order decants but if I don't or decide I need a bottle I'll update.   Like beer? What kind? Booze? Same question!
As I am pregnant currently, ai, no thank you.   Knitted items? Type?
Yes! I really could use some gloves or mittens in particular. Also would really adore any sort of blankety thing. Maybe a shawl or caplet or mantle sort of doodle. I like fancy but also do not hold against unfancy.   Caramel?
Yessss mmmmmm. Salted or unsalted, I just love caramel.
Would you be interested in home made food items?
- garlic dill pickles - no, I am not a pickle person
- blackberry jam - gods yes, I love jam and blackberry especially and loooove homemade jams really really
- dried honey crisp apples - yes this sounds delicious
- applesauce (with or without red hots) - yes but without red hots as my little will want some
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting) - never tried it but open to it
- honey from our bees - YES honey is my most favorite thing and I basically collect it
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over) - since I'm pregnant currently I'll forego liquors please
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike? - there aren't a lot of baked goods I don't like but I prefer chewy baked goods to crunchy typically, and I don't like anise. I adore almond in baked goods especially.   Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I usually make flat bottom round pouches with a pocket inside and a drawstring. Possibility of embroidery if we still have the huge commercial machine.
yes this sounds very nice   Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?)
I am sensitive to all sorts of wool, but typically fine with pretty much everything else   Would you want a quilted pot holder? (for me no because i make them)
Yes please I've currently only got one pot holder!   Do you have any prefered flavour of shortbread?
No but I am open to trying new flavors and my husband is quite a shortbread lover   Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK?
I do love uk candies but I'd love some sort of thing special to where you live (a local sort of item)

I've never heard of them before. A quick Googling tells me that the magnets and stuff are hilarious though.
Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween?

I have a couple things that I keep out all year. I don't have a ton of decorations up until this year I lived in a pretty small house.

No objection!

Scarves and shawls would be amazing. I don't really know much about textiles. I like things soft. Wash clothes would probably not get used.

SW Halloween Notes Part 2

I've been pretty scattered lately, but I though this might help you:

I'm a big Disney fan. I have an annual pass for DisneyWorld in Florida, and my favorite thing to do is go for a few hours, ride a few rides and people watch. My favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion (I am obsessed with the wallpaper) and my favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast (I'm very excited for the new live version!). I have a soft spot for Atlantis though, because I think it's really underrated.

If you're crafty, I really love unique and hand crafted items. These don't have to be limited to physical objects though. Digital items or art is good too!

On that note; I don't have any of the cute image "signatures" I see many folks have now. I have the ability to make them in Photoshop but not the time. So if you're really good at such a thing, go for it!

I have a current obsession with mug cakes. I think they're marvelous.   I love maxi dresses. Love them. They're perfect for my shape, and for Florida weather

Switch Witch 2016 answers

I will edit these as questions come in. Last updated October 20, 2016

Subscription boxes?
I never got into them. I do like my weekly farm share during the growing season though!

Any makeup/body/skin type stuff you'd like to get samples of?
Primers, color mascaras, makeup removers, cloths.

So, I know it's late in the round for a new question, but ThinkGeek is having a big Halloween sale. Anything catch your eye?
No, not me.

Ginger or spearmint flavor?
Ginger.

Witchee, would you like (would you wear?) a long wrap choker?
I wouldn't -- I'm just not a jewelry person except for hair toys.

Commissioned art:
I can't think of anything I want ....

Would you be interested in anything from the market?
Lots of things!
Blueberries or raspberries; beetroot powder, hibiscus powder, horseradish powder, raspberry powder or za'atar; marionberry or nectarine apricot jam.

Things from BPTP update that interest me:
MonsterPAC buttons, Pumpkin Orange hair gloss, October Dusk bath oil, Lavender Pumpkin Floss perfume. Decants are great -- it takes me a long time to use a bottle.

Would any witchees be interested in strawberry, pumpkin & apple, or milk flavor Pocky?

I'd be interested in trying the pumpkin & apple.

Though I've been playing with sculpee lately and like making sort of character or fandom inspired bead/pendants, would that be something you'd like or have use for?
Not for me, thanks.

Weenies: I'm interested in trying out Tomb Moss, Apple VI, The Avenging Vase, and Candy Bag Debris.

Pepper powders: I love peppers. I already have plenty of paprika, chipotle, and jalapeno. I'd be up for trying some other things.

Erotica or BDSM: Erotica, yay. BDSM, not my flavor. I tend to go for longer stories or novels with well-developed characters.
I'm a honey aficionado (I really love honey) and our renn Faire has a local honey booth we go to every year and our trip is coming up. Anything from http://www.beefolks.com/default.aspsuit your fancy in particular (honey or otherwise since they have other products?)

I'd love to try some of their blueberry honey.

Any other renn Faire goodies in general? I have a friend who is a wood carver there and they make adorable geeky pins amount other things and Harry Potter wands?
Here are the artisans there: http://www.rennfest....mation/artisans
There's lots that intrigues me there! I'm really digging the beautiful drinking vessels from Goodly Woods, and the beaded hairsticks from KJ Craftworks,

New Question: Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc?
I'm celebrating Mabon today and have everything I need, thanks!

Anyone hankering for Craftsy classes? Through tomorrow all classes are $20 or under.
No, but you've given me some ideas for projects just by getting me to Google Craftsy. :-)

And now a question from me:
Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? Feel free to elaborate on preferences for any of the above!
Crosswords, coloring books, and board games are all things I like to play with. Board games I already have and enjoy are Apples 2 Apples and Encore. I could also use any fun music games for my younger piano students -- or even my adult ones if you find something appropriate.

The second part of the Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in?
I haven't tried their stuff before. The Pumpkin Butter in Imp sounds nice.

I'm going to the NY Renaissance Faire tomorrow- anything you'd like me to look for?

A Hair Twisters ponytail wrap and/or a large, smooth snood.

Kings Game by Lisa Millraney on Kindle - I'm not familiar - open to it if you think I'd like it. I have a Kindle Cloud Reader on my desktop.

Seattle Chocolates: Maybe! The chili orange looks intriguing.

Hibiscus seeds?
No thanks - it won't grow in my zone.

Off-color needlepoint?
No thanks.

What interests you from the latest (pre-Halloween) update?
A Little More Tea, Holy Trinity, San Cristobal de la Habana (er, whatever it's being called now!), Spider Witch.
Like beer? What kind? Booze? Same question!
Teetotaler here.

What kinds of things do you like to wear?
I mentioned some in my questionnaire ... will add more here later.
How clothes feel is the first consideration. I like smooth fabrics, room to move, lack of seams/tags/iron-ons, lack of static. I feel naked without pockets on the bottom half of my clothing. I can't stand them on the top half. I like wearing long skirts, cords, jeans, t-shirts, shoes that are practical and cute (I love my chucks with rainbow stars), v-neck cardigans, zip-front hoodies. If you need more info, let me know!

Caramel? Salted? Chocolate?
I like caramels in general, yes to salted, yes to chocolate, and if you can find cinnamon ones I'll be especially ecstatic.

Would you be interested in home made food items?
- garlic dill pickles
- blackberry jam
- dried honey crisp apples
- applesauce (with or without red hots)
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting)
- honey from our bees
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over)
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike?
Do you make anything else with those rose petals? I don't do liquor, but jam or baked goods made with rose petals would be amazing.
Applesauce with red hots also sounds good.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I usually make flat bottom round pouches with a pocket inside and a drawstring. Possibility of embroidery if we still have the huge commercial machine. I can't envision what I'd use these for, so I guess no.

Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?) I love 100% silk and cashmere, like acrylic and plant fibers. I don't know if I'm actually allergic, but merino and BFL make me itch.
Knitted items? Type?
I could really use an oversize silk beanie and/or silk dreadlock tube-type hat. A cashmere cardigan would be amazing, though that seems a lot to ask.
Colors?
Solid color blue, black or burgundy.

Would you want a quilted pot holder?
Sure.

Do you have any preferred flavour of shortbread?
I'd like to try it with orange zest, chopped almonds, or lavender -- or anything special you make that you think I'd like.

Do you want anything from the UK?
I'm going there soon, but won't have time to shop. Nice black teas (in bags) are always appreciated. Or violet creams, if they'll travel well. Oh, if it's easier/cheaper to get over there in my size and different colors, I do have a favorite bra that's from the UK.

Do you want anything from Japan?
I'd like to try some of those unique-to-Japan KitKat flavors, like apricot seed, matcha milk, or Houji tea. Or maybe a nice hair accessory. Or cute stickers. Or nice a nice silk pillowcase ....

Okay with reused mailing materials?
Yes, absolutely!

Raging Harry Potter fan?
I've read the series but not the auxiliary books, so not *raging*. I do like it, though. I usually get sorted into Ravenclaw.

Anyone a nail polish fan? What colors interest you?
Not me.

Socks/sockdreams/etc?
If I need them to keep warm, they may as well be fun-looking! As always, comfort is paramount. I could use some slouchy socks as well as some silk liners. Other than that, somewhere between an anklet and a crew is a good length. Plant fibers or silk.

Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?)
Yes, especially in savory things like ravioli.

Does anyone like fleece character hats?
I like the look, but fleece turns my hair into a dangerous frizz-bomb.

Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween?
I don't decorate.

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive?
nothing :-)

What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre?
I like seeing other people's Victorian decorations.

What's your candy preference?
Black licorice is a favorite, or dark/superdark chocolate.

Oh witchee, if you're a writer type, would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings. I can always use fairly utilitarian, lined notebooks. Pretty colors and features like pockets are great, but if the notebook is super-fancy, I get inhibited about writing in it.

Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there?
I'm there under my own name. I'll update my wish list there; it's been awhile.

Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay?
I'm not familiar. If there's something there you think I'd like, I'd be happy to try it.

Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc.
I already have too much. :-)

What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer?

I love coffee, and enjoy trying different kinds, especially fair trade and local (to you) roasters. Whole bean and ground are both fine. For tea, I prefer it bagged, and like strong black teas like Assam. Oh, and if my Witch is in Canada, there's an herbal tea I like called Algonquin Lucid Dream Tea.

If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer?
A silk-lined winter hat with plenty of room for my hair!

What are your favorite fandoms, if any?
Not really a fandom person.

Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use?
My routine is basically no routine, which mostly works fine, so I wouldn't use anything that requires a lot of time or effort. I also have sensitive skin. The occasional sheet mask or a good eye cream wouldn't go amiss, though.

Bath/shower products?
Sure. I could especially use any type of washcloth/sponge/gentle scrubbing things.

BPTP products? Pre-owned okay?
Yes.

Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay?
Yay.

Favorite animal?
Cats.

Twilight Alchemy Lab oils?

Yes! I have several on my BPAL wish list (in my signature.)

Authors - Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter. Heard of them? Love them, hate them, or eh?
ture.) Not heard of.

My hands are not grabby.

Candles or wax melts/wax tarts?

Not for me.

Speaking of snarky, who's a fan of The Mincing Mockingbird?

I'm not familiar. I'm not much into snark generally, though.

Hair falls?
They look very cool, but not my style.

☆ My Q & A post for 13 Nights of Halloween Swap ☆

☆ My Q & A post for 13 Nights of Halloween Swap ☆ Goodies Opening: Wow! I'm super excited to be doing this and really, I'm fine with whatever you decide. I do like numbered packages but its really up to you. Anything here: http://paintboxsoapworks.com/ look like something you'd like to try (assuming that you're not already ordering it)? I haven't tried anything from PBSW and would like to. Probably anything except the wax melts. Do you like stuff related to Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)? I live in San Antonio and we celebrate Dia de los Muertos as much as Halloween. I LOVE all things from this tradition especially skulls. Handknit items: Potholders? I'm in South Texas where it never really gets cold enough for knitted items. Are there any fandoms or specific collectible genres you would appreciate things of/for? Any Studio Ghibli movie - Totoro, deer figurines, vintage asian stuff, Dunny, rocks and minerals. Do you have a favorite Fall/Halloween symbol? Bats! First, talk to me about soaps- do you like them, and what kinds of scents/lather/varieties do you like? I adore soaps of all kinds but they need to be as natural as possible and prefer cold pour. Brands I LOVE are Cellar Door, Haus of Gloi, Future Prim, Solstice Scents whipped soaps are divine. Second, tell me about teas! Favorites? Anything you'd like to try? I LOVE cardamom tea, chocolate teas, chai and thai iced tea. Lastly, I go to Renn Faire- is there anything from there you might like? Crystals, jewelry, tarot cards, breast knife, coffee, sweets. What Weenie of years past are you seeking from the lab? Autumn Overlooked my Knitting, Theme in Yellow, Le Femme de Satan. Are you a shawl wearer- and if you don't wear one now, would you? Yes, I wear shawls instead of coats in the winter. Tell me about LUSH- do you like them? If so, what are some of your favorite things from there? Particularly fond scents or products? Stuff you can't stand? I use Black Angels and Ultrabland and I love the scent of Lord of Misrule and Dragon's Egg. Stuff from Japan? Yes, I love anything Japanese Pumpkin Spice or No Pumpkin Spice? No please but I do enjoy clove and cinnamon. Milk, white, and/or Dark Chocolate? Dark chocolate only please. I am vegan. Do you like Yankee Candle? Anything you want from there? Not really. All their stuff gives me a headache, but I LOVE candles. This is my most favorite one: http://shop.nordstro...-candle/3734465 and I'm waiting for one from Three Ravens: https://www.threerav...ancy-collection I do not have a wax warmer, so please no melts. Trading Post Goodies? YES! I love the atmos. Bath and Bodyworks? I haven't found anything I like from there and can't stand how the stores smell. My daughter likes it though. Tell me of your Sock Dreams, please! I love all kinds of socks especially dark, jewel tone colored ones. i'd like to make some baked goods, would you like some? And if you have any food allergies what can I use as a substitute? Since I am vegan, I am very picky. I cannot do any sort of dairy or eggs. Probably safer to pass on the baked goodies. Anything special you want from the Target dollar spot? Can always use stickers, tapes, twine and other goodies. I live in The Netherlands. If there's anything in particular that you'd like to get from here, now's the time to tell! I collect trolls and would love one from your land. I'm sort of collecting Lush showergels.Regular collection, but also many Kitchen items. Are there any showergels you'd like to try? I'd be happy to make you samples! YES PLEASE!! What is your stance on Glitter? I wish I could cover my whole body with glitter Also, if you have a Goodreads or other online reading log, does it include a wishlist? Otherwise, is it safe to assume books on the 'to-read' section are wishlist items? Or are you less into keeping a physical copy of the book, and instead prefer to turn to the awesomeness of the library to get your to-read need accomplished. https://www.goodread...w/list/11567200 includes a to-read wishlist. how about art? (Small/mailing safe sizes, course) Absolutley. Tea lovers, what do you like from Whittard? I haven't tried Whittard teas, but my favorite tea is Republic of Tea. I love to try new things. Witch In-Out Sign? Not really into signage. Dearest Pumpkin - how much are you wedded to wishlists, say I have some read once books which I think you might like based on what you've read in the past, but there is nothing of the sort on your current Goodreads "to read" list? Bring it ON!! How do you feel about reading series out of order? Obviously not in situations where the subsequent books are part of the same story arc where you will be totally lost and frustrated if you haven't read all of them, but say, standalone stories which are technically part of a series and which might obliquely reference past books, but not in such as way as to spoil the plot of the book which I happen to have in my possession that you might like. That's fine but not preferred. Would you be interested in a Halloween themed short story anthology? Probably not unless it's a graphic novel. Is there a limit to the number of books you'd like to receive? I have a Kindle for reading but prefer graphic novels and comics in printed form. Have you read Movies in 15 Minutes by our very own Cleolinda? Would you like to? I checked out the website. It looks pretty interesting. What kind of phone do you have? iPhone 4s (vintage lol) Have you seen the horror film The Babadook? If so, did you like it? Would you want something Babadook-themed? I have seen it and it's not my fave. Probably prefer It Follows, but my favorite horror films are: The Shining, The Ring, Drag Me to Hell, Cabin Fever, Donnie Darko, Nightmare Before Christmas, Let the Right One In. Motherhood Update: Bottles NOW of: Texare, San Cristobal de le Habana, Funerary Papyri decants of: Little Lady Frank, Outlaw, The Devil Will Find Work for Idle Hands, The Wolf and the Rattlesnake, Spider Witch.   So who likes incense? Is there a preferred scent? Cones or sticks? Would you like a burner for it? My favorite incense is Shoyeido's River Path Incense - Hori-kawa. It smells heavenly. I do use white sage smudge sticks and could use a fireproof container for charcoal and copal resin which I also use. Bring it on~

switch witch 2016

Hi Witch!! Here's this years edition of the Switch Witch help blog Past entries may or may not be applicable at this point, I've changed quite a bit in some ways since the last time I did this.

Some general stuffs -

WISHLISTS - my bpal wishlist is in my signature. I also have...
Amazon - https://amzn.com/w/SQH5WXN77PBP (I'm not sure how that works, if you can see ALL my lists from that link - I have a few different categories there (wish list, books, art...).
Etsy - https://www.etsy.com/people/zombiewench/favorites/items-i-love?ref=favs_index_1

I'm not expecting a whole lot, since I'm handmaking everything for my Witchee due to a serious lack of funds, but I love Switch Witch - I've made some really wonderful friends because of it!

-What would you like from the Motherhood update? - (In no particular order...) Dinner at the Diviner's Hut, Good Morning London, Heel, My Little Grotesque, Outlaw, Perfect Fifths, Stonehenge at Dusk, The Great Python Snake, Vampire Night at the Movies. If I had to pick ONE scent to try...Probably Outlaw. But Perfect Fifths, Stonehenge, Vampire Night are all up there, too.

Knitted stuff - It kind of depends...i'm in Florida so won't get a whole lot of use out of anything.

Beer - I don't drink a whole lot anymore, though I wouldn't be opposed to some fun (lighter) varieties.

Caramel - YUM! Though I usually do better with it *in* things, I have a lot of dental work that doesn't play nice with super chewy things.

What types of things do you like to wear? - I'm REALLY into boho/gypsy/faerie type stuff, and things in bright colors. My closet doesn't always reflect that at the moment though, I'm slowly working on updating it! Mostly I just like *fun* clothes. I get envious of the fact that my 3 year old daughter gets to wear fun bright colorful sparkly poofy lacy stuff, and it's hard for me to find anything like that in adult sizes!
And booze? - I tend to like sweet wines. And rum. My favorite rum is Kraken.

Would you be interested in home made food items? - Sure! Breads and cookies are always good

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? - Meh, I have so many bags already.

Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? - I have a slight allergy to wool.

Would you want a quilted pot holder? - Sure!

Do you have any prefered flavour of shortbread? - There's flavors??

What are you interested in from the recent BPAL and BPTP updates? (Lilith, Lunacy, etc.) - I listed the Motherhoods I'm interested in earlier. I'm not interested in any of the Fatherhoods (which is a first), but I DO want the Coconut Meat SN and Starstruck Libra like WHOA. Those are such big needs it's a little ridiculous!!

Would you like hibiscus seeds? - If they'll grow well in Florida, then sure!

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK? - Can you buy me a house there? Um...my favorite place in England is Stratford-upon-Avon, we spent a few weeks there when I was 18 and I freaking LOVED it. So something fun from there would be really awesome!

Is there anything you would like to get from Japan? - Some fun Disney stuff that we don't have here, or some neat Sailor Moon goodies (Chibi-usa, Diana, Chibi-Chibi, Dead Moon Circus, and Sailor Cosmos are my favorites!)

Does anyone like fleece character hats? Like these: http://wonderlandonl...like-fleece-hat? What kinda characters would you like to see?
Eh, I wouldn't get much use out of anything like that in FL.

Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?)
Sometimes

Socks/sockdreams/etc:
I could use some fun bright footie socks, like what you wear with sneakers, but that's about it. I have so many fun socks I'm already not wearing!

Anyone a nail polish fan? What colors interest you?
I am, though I don't wear it much anymore, with 2 little kids I usually just can't be bothered to deal with it. I could use a good basic shimmery turquoise though, and I tend to be a sucker for anything holographic, the more holo the better!

Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween?
I don't. And I am sorely lacking in the Halloween decoration department!

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive?
Indoor is better right now (my next house WILL have better outdoor space to decorate!).

What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre?
Kitchsy/cute! And retro!

What's your candy preference?
I like chocolate and coconut (like mounds bars), and salted chocolate anything is good, too. Okay, and peanut butter and chocolate.

Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there? I do, zombiewench is my name there!

candles, wax melts/tarts? Eh, sometimes? I like the idea of candles, but don't actually use them very much.

Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay? No? I've never tried anything from there. One company is enough for me lol.

If you are ok with knitted things, what colors do you like? I tend to like cool colors (and turquoise is my favorite). Also rainbows, though I tend to like not straight traditional colors - like replace red with magenta, blue with turquoise...
If striping, what two (or more) colors together? I love black and white striped stuff. And, though I don't usually like the colors separately, I LOOOVE orange and magenta together.
If you want yarn, what colors do you want? Anything fun and bright is awesome.
Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc. Again, anything fun and bright. Nothing flowery unless it's funky.

What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer? Nope, nope nope.

If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer? Whatever my witch wants to make.

What are your favorite fandoms, if any? Oh booooy... Blizzard games - especially World of Warcraft and Hearthstone. Bioshock - I have a large collection of Big Daddies, but desperately need a Big Sister. Portal. Brian/Wendy Froud (I have her set of 3 faerie dolls, and a bunch of their books). Harry Potter. I'm really into DC Superhero Girls right now. Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer (together and separate) (does that count as a fandom? lol). Harley Quinn. There's probably more, hah.
Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use? I use Lush products. Pretty much the only stuff I've found that works well for me.

Bath/shower products? Lush, and Yves Rochers.

BPTP products? Pre-owned okay? Sure! Not a big fan of bath oil or hair gloss though.

Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay? Eh.

Favorite animal? Unicorn? Phoenix? Mermaid?

Do you have a kindle? If so...

Would you be interested in Kings Game by Lisa Millraney?

Sure! I have so many books on my TBR list, and another huge list that I want to buy/borrow, but as someone who writes and self-publishes (under pen names), I love supporting others in groups I'm in

The second part of the Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in? No thanks

I'm going to the NY Renaissance Faire tomorrow- anything you'd like me to look for? Take me with you?? Lol. I love Ren Faires! I can't think of anything specific, but I would probably love most anything from a Faire.

Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc? My religious stuff is so weird right now. We're Methodist, but my background is kind of all kinds of things, and I'm currently reading a book about how both paganism and Christianity can work together. So I'm not actually celebrating holidays yet, but may get to that point in the future? I know, odd answer.

Anyone hankering for Craftsy (http://www.craftsy.com) classes? Through tomorrow all classes are $20 or under. No thanks.

Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? Feel free to elaborate on preferences for any of the above! I love that kind of stuff, but it's not always practical with small kids who eat things in the house. Plus I just don't have time.

Elements and Artifacts? I didn't see anything that really caught my eye this time around.

Tarot cards/oracle decks - yay or nay? If yay, do you already have any? Which ones? I love tarot decks, and have a small collection! I have...So Below (my favorite deck, and the only one I've ever been able to read, even if I don't read well, lol), Aquarian Tarot, Universal Fantasy Tarot, Shadowscapes, Penny Dreadful, Fantod (Edward Gorey, not exactly tarot, but still in my collection!), and the Amanda Palmer deck, from a Kickstarter a while back. I also have both sets of the Faerie Oracle cards from Brian Froud.
You have now also made me go look at tarot decks, and I've added some interesting looking ones to my amazon wishlist
Cryptozoology/cryptids (Big Foot, lake monsters, chupacabra, etc.) - yay or nay? If yay, any favourites? I don't really pay attention to a lot of that stuff, but sure! It could be fun

SW Halloween 2016 Notes: Part I

Got this idea from neptuneanblues (if you're reading this, thanks! )

My brain has a bad habit of freezing whenever I need to pull information out of it. So, even though it took me 2 hours to fill out my SW questionnaire, I found myself thinking of things I wish I had included, long after I'd submitted it.

So, some random bits of information that may, or may not,be of help

I'd like more funky socks
I love pumpkin spice (And I don't care how "basic" it makes me)

I love coffee but also tea

I'm kind of a foodie and love unusual salts, spices, etc

Dark Chocolate is king in my book. The darker the better, although I think I hit my limit at 85%
I miss my german shepherd dearly (she passed away 2014) but I've become enamoured with Corgis. I desperately want one, but I have to wait until my energy levels are more stable. Until then I am ok collecting and looking at Corgis

I'm 1 year post chemo, and 18 months cancer free from Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My hair is still growing back, and it's cute but still short, and kinda floppy. I am finally comfortable putting color in it again. I used to have crazy colored hair for years before.

Although I don't do it for a living, my heart belongs to science, especially biology/molecular biology. I was supposed to go for my Master's in Molecular Biology after getting my Bachelors, but life and things, and it didn't happen. Now, I'm setting my sights to be a full time writer. (I really, really REALLY hate my current job). I'm not sure if I'll ever get to do Bio research, but it still fascinates me. I still want to learn as much as I can about it, and I love anything science/bio related.

Even though I'm aspiring now to be a full time writer, I've always been a "writer". I have an unhealthy love of notebooks and pens (and office supplies in general).

I love games of all types, and enjoy all manner of video games, but I've recently become enamored with "Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure Games" (really, puzzle games, I don't really like the hidden object part as much). My energy and cognitive functions are still pretty low, and these are great because they're interesting and challenging but not taxing. I've played all of the "Dark Parables" games except the most recent. (as an example of what I'm talking about)

I can't keep plants alive to save my life (Except for the mint that won't die) but I love having them around!

I love Fall clothes, but being in florida never get to really wear them. I am hoping to live in a cooler climate, more permanently, one day!

If you want to be sneaky and see if I'd like something or get more info, you can message my significant other, john at: steppsensei(at)gmail
Be sure to tell him it's for the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Swap, or he may think it's spam.

I've included my SW answers as a link in my signature. The link leads to a google doc that I've kept open for editing. If you want to ask me additional questions, you can add them to the bottom. Because the document is set to "anyone with the link" you don't need a Google account to access it, and if you do have a Google account and are logged in, it still registers you as anonymous.

Cheap Witching Ideas List

A decidedly non-exhaustive list of stuff that I could totally use that can be made cheaply and fairly easily: Make a tap handle out of anything T-shirt yarn tutorial I love single issues of how-to magazines. Check your local library book sale! Know Photoshop? I'd love custom beer labels for my homebrew. They don't even have to be printed. Just e-files would be great!

13 Nights of Halloween answers

UPDATED 09/16/2016

Anything here: http://paintboxsoapworks.com/look like something you'd like to try (assuming that you're not already ordering it)?
Oh, gosh, the last thing I need is another site addiction!

Do you like stuff related to Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)?
I have concerns about appropriation; my Day of the Dead comes from a different tradition and doesn't involve sugar skulls and such.

How about handknitted things? Especially fall themed things! Anything specific, ie socks, mitts, hats, home decor like pumpkin coasters or wall hangings?
It almost never gets cold enough here to warrant hand-knitted anything, and I live in a furnished apartment that already has a lot of decor!

Are there any fandoms or specific collectible genres you would appreciate things of/for (ex: you collect shot glasses, or the ninth Doctor is your bae)?
My boyfriend and I are both huge fans of the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena and actually met through an Utena fan forum. Fandom merch for that series is rather hard to find, but since roses are important symbols in the show, I always appreciate receiving rosy things!

Do you have a favorite Fall/Halloween symbol?
No, I like most all of it except for the green-skinned warty witches; I practiced Wicca for several years and always found those images a depressing reminder of the need to hide my religion and the general disrespect afforded it.

First, talk to me about soaps- do you like them, and what kinds of scents/lather/varieties do you like?
I'm sensitive to shea butter - not a true allergy, but I like soaps without shea and especially like fair-trade coconut or palm oil as a soap base. Spicy and incensey scents are great, as are soothing/comforting ones like lavender and oats/honey.

Second, tell me about teas! Favorites? Anything you'd like to try?
I've been looking a long time for a good, spicy, non-sugared, non-caffeinated chai; most of the commercial chai out there is either flavoured sugar-liquid or black teas with flavoring added. Teavana's Ayurvedic chai is a nice example of the sort of herbal stuff I crave!

Lastly, I go to Renn Faire- is there anything from there you might like?
I’ve only been to a Renn Faire once, decades ago, but I do have a (12th-century) Norman noblewoman's dress and would love to have period-appropriate accessories or veiling to wear with the gown.

What Weenie of years past are you seeking from the lab?
SpoooOooOOOOooooookyyyyy! I heart Spooky so much. I should have ordered a crate of the hair gloss.

Are you a shawl wearer- and if you don't wear one now, would you?
I'm not, and I wouldn't; shawls tend to slip off of my shoulders and become irritating very quickly.

Tell me about LUSH- do you like them? If so, what are some of your favorite things from there? Particularly fond scents or products? Stuff you can't stand?
I like LUSH okay, but find the shop smell overwhelming and so haven't used their stuff in a long time. I remember really liking their face scrubs, particularly Angels on Bare Skin and Aqua Marina. I've always wanted to try their Phoenix bath bomb, and I dislike their products with glitter because of the tub-scrubbing required!

So, in this swap, you open a goodie every day. I have seen this gift direction done several different ways, but I am interested in which you are most keen to do. Would you rather:
A. have strict direction as to which gift is to be opened on which day (aka the number system)?
B.have a few gifts that are meant to be opened on specific days (ex: *this* one is for Halloween night only), but the rest be your choice?
C. have a free-for-all, grab bag-style box of goodies, where you are the sole arbiter of your goodie grabbing destiny(everything is wrapped but you pick the gift you want to open each day)?
D. be surprised?
I'll be happy with any way you choose to do it, but prefer A so that I don't have to make decisions!

Stuff from Japan?
Yesssssss.

Pumpkin Spice or No Pumpkin Spice?
No Pumpkin Spice. I'm really picky about pumpkin spice scents and flavours because many of them smell fake or cloying to me.

Milk, white, and/or dark chocolate?
Milk and dark are both great.

Do you like Yankee Candle? Anything you want from there?
Noooo, no Yankee Candle, please!

Trading Post Goodies?
Always appreciated. I was going to try Ignis massage oil, and it went out of stock between the few days of choosing from the website's selection and returning to the website to order it!

Bath and Body Works?
No, another store I don't much like.

Tell me of your Sock Dreams, please!
I don't dream about socks so much as really need them! I have boat feet (size 11) and run daily, so I wear through socks pretty quickly.

I'd like to make some baked goods, would you like some? And if you have any food allergies, what can I use as a substitute?
Awww, baked goods are always appreciated. I'm not gluten-sensitive or celiac or anything, but usually feel more comfortable and happy eating a treat if there's no wheat in it. And any substitute at all for wheat flour is great; I've never met a flour I didn't like.

Anything special you want from the Target dollar spot?
Nothing I’m aware of.

I live in The Netherlands. If there's anything in particular that you'd like to get from here, now's the time to tell!
I've never been to the Netherlands and really enjoy tasting snacky things from new places!

I'm sort of collecting Lush showergels. Regular collection, but also many Kitchen items. Are there any showergels you'd like to try? I'd be happy to make you samples!
I would love to try Grass and Glogg, and especially Flying Fox.

What is your stance on Glitter?
I like things that sparkle and shine, but prefer for my glitter to be stable and not shed everywhere! (The exception to that is glittery makeup, which I adore and own almost none of.)

Also, if you have a Goodreads or other online reading log, does it include a wishlist?
I have none, I'm afraid! The only books I can think of that I'm really pining for, right now, are David Frawley's books The Art and Science of Vedic Counseling and Vedic Yoga: The Path of the Rishi, as well as books three and four of David Hair's Moontide Quartet, which my library doesn't carry and which I am aching to read!
Also, this is a weird one, but I can't know unless I ask, right?: My bf has Asperger syndrome and recognizes many signs of the same in me. I think it would be great for us both if I read more about it, so if you happen to have any knowledge at all of the subject, I'd love a good book about it!

Witch In/Out Sign
Not for me!

How about art? (Small/mailing safe sizes, course)
Art is lovely.

Tea lovers, what do you like from Whittard?
I'm not familiar with them at all.

How much are you wedded to wishlists; say I have some read once books which I think you might like based on what you've read in the past, but there is nothing of the sort on your current Goodreads "to read" list?
I like it when people recommend new books to me and especially if they share stories they themselves enjoy!

I'm okay with that.

Would you be interested in a Halloween-themed short story anthology?
That would be neat! I like short story anthologies because life is pretty busy lately, and it helps to be able to read briefly and then put a book down without feeling anxious about what happens next in a longer story.

Is there a limit to the number of books you'd like to receive?
Not at all.

Have you read Movies in 15 Minutes by our very own Cleolinda? Would you like to?
I adore the M15m LJ reviews and would definitely enjoy reading the book!

What kind of phone do you have? I need to know....
An iPhone 5S.

Have you seen the horror film The Babadook? If so, did you like it? Would you want something Babadook-themed?
I haven't seen it, no!

Those who are amenable to yarnie things--ok, two questions: Any undesirable fibers (wool allergy, vegan so no critter hair at all, etc.)? and how do you feel about cowls/infinity scarves?
I dislike both infinity scarves and cowls, alas! But while I do like delicate-looking, thin yarnie things, New Orleans is subtropical and hardly ever gets cold enough for even light yarn things to be worn. :/

So who likes incense? and is there a preferred scent? and cones or sticks? Would you like a burner for it?
I adore incense, but am very picky about it because perfume-y, artificial stuff gives both me and my bf sore throats. Stick incenses that work well for me include Shanthimalai's Red Nag Champa, all Fred Soll scents except Lemongrass and Sweetgrass (with my fave being Honey Amber), most scents by Shroff Channabasappa (especially Pearl, Sandal, and Jungle Prince), and Pure Incense's Parijata. In general I love mystical-smelling, meditative incenses with resin, tree, or wood notes.

Motherhood update:
So many of the scents sound amazing! The ones I'd particularly like to try are Lilith and the Four Sons of Horus, Heavenly Spark, My Little Grotesque, The Library of John Dee, Waiting, The Serpentine, Goofin' at Stonehenge, and Lilith's hair gloss.

Switch Witch 2016, already!

Okay, first of all in my original questionnaire I said I'd have to come back to the question about an under-$10 thing and an over-$10 thing that I'd like. So, for under-$10, I like these earrings. For over-$10, I like this shirt in a size L yellow v-neck. (I'll update here again if I think of something that's more general for either category.)

So, you wanted some links to wishlists, right? Well, my BPAL one is linked in my signature, right near the link to this blog, so you probably already found that one.

Other than that, I have an amazon one for books and one for non-books, but the non-books one has a lot of random junk on it right now (I briefly decided I liked phone charms again and went a little crazy, for example, plus I'm good on moleskines right now, etc.), so I'll only put that link here if I have time to clean it up some.

Like I said earlier, I don't really need any stuff from SockDreams even though I think it's a very cool business, so no wishlist from there.

I've got a ModCloth wishlist but their stuff is mostly kind of expensive and sells out fairly fast. I can try to link to it here anyway though in case it helps... can't guarantee it will work for you because I basically had to email it to myself so I'm not totally sure that what I received in email was a direct link, sigh....

Plus, to make things even more difficult, I have a huge etsy wishlist but it's not public. So maybe I'll just link to a few things I like there that aren't all that expensive (I'll try to keep it to under $30, at least):
macaron pin
bee necklace
lavender sunshine soap
acorn earrings
chevron deco earrings
colorful clock
#1 earrings here, silver is fine
apple earrings
rosewater lemonade soap
indigo ring

Actual in-thread questions start here:

Liliths...
The BPAL ones I haven't ordered decants of but would be interested in testing (so yeah, half-decants or so would be ideal I guess) are: A Little More Tea Heavenly Spark O the Joy of My Spirit The Library of John Dee

Oh, and I haven't gotten any BPTP Liliths. I'm super-interested in Tag-Upon-Avon.

How do you feel about knitted stuff? Fancy? Plain? What types of things do you like to wear?
Well, I like knitted stuff, but I'm in balmy South Central Texas. For example, I have several scarves (including a full-length 4th doctor scarf that I share with my husband) because I love scarves, but I didn't wear a single one last year because it never got cold enough. Same for the lovely new pair of fingerless gloves I got in a swap last year. So knitted wearables are out, sadly. I guess I might not mind something like a coffee cup/travel cup cozy, I know knitted versions of those exist. If I think of something else, I'll update this answer in my blog.

I'm into beer. How 'bout you? Styles? And booze?
I addressed this in my original questionnaire. I'd be happy to give more info if needed, though.

How do you feel about caramel? Salt or no? With chocolate or without?
Whatever's fine as long as it isn't the kind that breaks your teeth.

Hibiscus seeds?
Nope, not into growing things.

Off-color needlepoint?
Possibly if it's not misogynistic or glorifying drinking to excess (yep, boring person here!).

Would you be interested in home made food items?

- garlic dill pickles YES
- blackberry jam YES
- dried honey crisp apples YES
- applesauce (with or without red hots) NO THANKS
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting) PERHAPS IF YOU TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO WITH IT
- honey from our bees ABSOLUTELY
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over) DEFINITELY
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike? YES MOSTLY, NO MARSHMALLOWS THOUGH.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches?
sounds pretty nice

And to go along with the previous knitting question...
Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer?
nope but again, I don't really have much use for knitted items.

Would you want a quilted pot holder? (for me no because i make them)
sure!

Do you have any prefered flavour of shortbread?
Lavender or tea-flavored (or both) could be nice. But of course vanilla is great too.

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK?
I'm sure there is, but the only thing I can think of right now is Crunchie. Probably I will think of other stuff and update this in my blog.

Socks/sockdreams/etc:
This is addressed in my original questionnaire, but nope, no sox for me. I love them, but don't actually wear them more than 10x per year, which means that the overflowing drawer I currently have represents a lifetime's worth of socks.

I just saw that Zoya is having their trade in sale. Anyone a nail polish fan? What colored interest you?
Neato. I'm pretty sure I mentioned being into nail polish in my original questionnaire. Regarding Zoya in specific, I already have quite a bit, so it'd probably be best for me to list the ones I already have. Will do that in my blog.
*EDIT* Here are Zoyas I have... this might not be totally exhaustive, there could be some hiding somewhere else. FeiFei Sooki Ivanka Dove Casey Leslie Petra Dream Edyta Valerie Raven Ling Trixie Cynthia Manon Charla Kennedy Purity Norra

Thingz from Japan?
I've probably covered this elsewhere, but I love Japanese stationery. Stickers are also welcome. US folks may want to check out Kawaii Gifts for ordering stuff like that, just saying! I also love green tea flavored chocolate (green tea kitkats, etc.), and I remember liking MeltyKiss stuff, including some of their odd flavors.

Re-used mailing materials are fine.

Harry Potter is something I used to be very interested in (back when the original books were coming out, I used to go to the midnight release parties and all of that), but I'm not really interested in the new movie or Cursed Child or whatever. I always wanted to be a Ravenclaw but had finally come to terms with the fact that I am really a Hufflepuff, when the new Pottermore Sorting Hat quiz (which I took just for fun as someone put it up on facebook) I think put me in Slytherin? Or was it Gryffindor? Either way it was something preposterous that I'd never been sorted into before by any other quiz. Anyway, I should stop rambling and get to the point: I don't actually have the books anymore (my house has burned down twice since the series finished)! So if you have a spare set gathering dust, I'll take them....

Speaking of snarky, who's a fan of The Mincing Mockingbird?
He seems fine, I think I used to have a couple of magnets from his friend the meerkat.

Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween?
Outside I have a sparkly orange and black "Welcome" sign (decorated with skulls and pumpkins) hanging on the door. I also have a couple of rubber bats that I'll hang up on either side of the door pretty soon, and I'll also buy a fancy pumpkin this weekend to put out. I'm not sure if I have Halloween decorations inside (I don't really discriminate), but I wouldn't mind having some, I guess.

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive?
I think I answered this above.

What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre?
Any of that stuff would be fine except for horror/macabre.

What's your candy preference?
Pretty sure I answered this is my original questionnaire (plus we've already had another question about candy), but I guess I could try to go into more detail if needed... let me know!

Candles or wax melts/wax tarts?
Candles, not wax melts/tarts! If we're talking candle scents, I like most of them, just not ones that are super-fruity or super-seaside-y or very "holiday spice." Hope that helps!

[Okay, here's where I start trying to catch up. I'm going through the list and answering the stuff that strikes my fancy. But if I've already detailed preferences for something (bath/shower stuff would be an example), or it's already on my wishlist (BPTP products would be an example), I may not answer the question, even if it is about a category of items I'm interested in. Hope that makes sense!]

Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay?
Possibly? If you're knowledgeable about this and there's something you think I'd benefit from, sure! But I'd need to know how to use it and what it was intended for.

Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use?
I did already mention my skincare regimen, but wanted to be sure to say that I can always use more Tea Tree Water toner from Lush. I usually buy their smaller size spray-bottle because the pump on the larger one seems to give out way before I finish the bottle, so that means I run out fairly quickly. As for what skincare products I absolutely wouldn't use, who knows (though I'm pretty happy with my current routine so other stuff might just languish)? I don't currently use anti-aging stuff or undereye cream, but that's about all I can think of.

If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer?
Out of that list, I guess it'd be "sewn bags," even though I dunno what that'd be like really. But if homemade edible goodies count, I might say those instead.

What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer?
I talked a lot about tea flavors in my original questionnaire, I know because I just checked. I am too lazy to use loose tea most of the time though, I need it in bags. I really like Capital Teas. As for coffee, I didn't really talk about that. My husband is the main coffee drinker in the house... he drinks a few cups a day, and I drink that many in a week. We have a coffee grinder so whole bean is fine. We actually prefer light/medium roasts since those have more caffeine than dark ones. The only flavored coffees we really like are coconut and cinnamon.

If striping, what two (or more) colors together?
This was one of the only questions about knitted things that I thought would maybe make sense to answer. For some reason I immediately pictured teal and grey stripes (both dark versions of the colors), so I guess I'll go with that.

would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings.
This question is funny because only the very end really pertains. I don't really need notebooks or journals because I only use them at work and the moleskine I got for work last year is still going strong, plus (because my husband got me a Tolkien-themed one for Christmas) I have another one waiting for me when I finish this one (which will probably take years at this rate). Actual letter-writing stationery though, yep, I'm interested. I like letter sets more than I like card/envelope sets, but I might consider the latter anyhow. I already linked to this website, but I'll go ahead and specifically link to their letter set section in case that helps.

Would you like any brown paper bags of "seconds" from Seattle Chocolates?
Yes, please!

[Also wanted to let you know that I edited my answer to the Zoya question above.]

Elements & Artifacts has a fall/halloween collection up? Anything catch your eye?
These earrings look kinda nice. And I love this necklace.

And speaking of shops from BPAL folks, any favorites in the stores on the SW Stalking and Services Spreadsheet?
Well, I've wanted an astrology birth chart from Greenwoodtree for ages and ages. I do know all the specifics of my birth because I have my long-form birth certificate, so if you need that info, just ask! Other than that, I think I've already mentioned some stuff about baked goods and green tea kitkats.

The second part of the Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in?
Maybe some Pumpkin butter? Scents that sound nice are Ghost Puffs and Spider Silk.
*EDIT*
So when I answered the Haus of Gloi question earlier, they only had Part I of their fall update up. Now Part II is up as well. Looks like quite a bit of stuff is already sold out, but I thought I'd take a look anyway to see if there was anything else I was interested in (I'm not sure if they re-stock stuff that sells out or not, but oh well).
Anyhow, the Burnished Amber, Pumpkin, and Sleepytime butterbombs sounded nice. So do the Hazelnut Latte and Maple Sugar lip balms. Finally, I'm interested in Blood Orange Marshmallow whipped soap.

I'm going to the NY Renaissance Faire tomorrow- anything you'd like me to look for?
Well, when I go to faires myself, I always end up buying earrings and/or soap, so I guess those would be good starting points. Stick incense is another thought.

Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? Feel free to elaborate on preferences for any of the above!
Some of these are maybes: Jigsaw puzzles, perhaps but they'd have to be under 1000 pieces... we usually just do 500-piece ones (wimps, I know!) but have discussed trying a 750-piece one or whatever the next level up is. And usually we like the ones where the picture is a photo (like nature scenes or hot air balloons or Venice canals, etc.) and not a painting or whatever. Puzzle books... we have a crossword one right now, wouldn't mind another. Board games... Perquackey or Trivial Pursuit (we have the Genus edition, wouldn't mind getting the Master edition again, or the RPM [Music] expansion pack). Used is fine for these, just to be clear.

Anything from http://www.beefolks.com/default.aspsuit your fancy in particular (honey or otherwise since they have other products?)
Much of their stuff looks very nice, I do love honey. Maybe I should just list the things I wouldn't use. So... no bath salts, scrubs, beeswax blocks, or kids' books.

Cryptozoology/cryptids (Big Foot, lake monsters, chupacabra, etc.) - yay or nay? If yay, any favourites?
Mothman, duh! (my husband is from West Virginia)
Anyway, you could totally get me this shirt in a size XL

I'm with voodoocatwoman about packaging:

As for Weenies, I will be getting decants of the 7 I'm interested in (or one blind bottle and 6 decants, haven't decided). If there turns out to be no room left for one of them in a decant circle but I'd still like to try it, I'll let you know. I am also the tiniest bit curious about Cheesecloth Ghosts, but could get by with just a testable sniffie or something because I doubt it's actually my thing.

Sure, I wouldn't mind some milk pocky.

As for BPTP Weenies, I have signed up for a ridiculous amount of decants, so I'm good there.

As for NYCC, I'm not sure. I'm still kinda interested in the BPTP Lilith perfume Tag-Upon-Avon, but I have no idea if it will really be my thing. I'd certainly take a chance on a bottle if that's what made the most sense, though. The only GC I can think of that I could really use is Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo... I'm not exactly low on it per se (I think my current bottle is 2/3 to 3/4 full), but I wear it in my hair every workday, so I go through quite a bit of it regardless. The only other thing I can think of is claw polishes... the problem is that the glittery BPTP ones don't really work on me for whatever reason... most people report amazing staying power with them, but mine chip off within the same day. So I can only have solid-colored ones. I already own Hail Satin, as well as Insatiable and Fear (I... think it's Fear and not Lullaby... not at home to check ) from the Crimson Peak line. I know I'm way interested in Belladonna, but as long as it's not glittery, you can surprise me!

Would you be interested in anything from the market? http://www.fairwoodfarmersmarket.org
Well, some of the cool stuff doesn't seem especially ship-able. But the raspberry wit from Big Barn Brewing sounds nice, and so do the home-made chips from Mama Torrez and the Inland Empire cider from Twilight Cider Works. And of course I've already said that I like spices/jams/jellies/coffee/soaps.

Switch Witch Questions & Answers 2017

????????????????????????????????? QUESTION LIST FROM FORUM THREAD:   Would any witchees be interested in NASA swag? I'm now super-close to Marshall Space Flight Center and will be visiting the space center with my kiddo pretty regularly. If so, what would you like? Clothes, a mug, magnets, a plush Snoopy wearing a flight suit? I worked for a company that created a traveling exhibit with NASA, and I even got to transport a moon rock once. You wouldn't believe the box I had to travel with! I had all eyes on me at the airport, because it looked like something that might have a bomb in it. I got to bring the rock home with me for a night and we took it into a dark room, and lit it up with a flashlight. It looked like millions of tiny, black sparkling crystals all clustered together. Which products and scents do you like? www.bathandbodyworks.com/ Sorry, not a fan of BBW. Really prefer indie companies for my bath products and candles. I am possibly going to a crystal / gem show tomorrow. I can't afford expensive gem stones, but... What kind of crystals would you like? I am looking for a crystal clear citrine and perhaps a smoky quartz. Anything with a rainbow prism inside would be welcome too. Pumpkin or Zucchini bread? I feel like a broken record, but if you can find or make vegan versions, I love either. What kind of homemade cookies are your favorite? Mexican Wedding Cookies or Snickerdoodle. Could you use a muscle rub? (We make ours on the lunar cycle and it has menthol, wintergreen, habanero, cayenne, olive oil, st. john's wort, arnica, beeswax, calendula, and ginger. It tingles. We call it "Thunder Butter". If you have really really super sensitive skin, I would recommend against it. And don't take a hot shower or open all of your pores before using it.) How about handknitted things? Especially fall themed things! Anything specific, ie socks, mitts, hats, home decor like pumpkin coasters or wall hangings?
Sure! Handknitted home decor like pumpkin coasters or a wall hanging would be great.

Are there any fandoms or specific collectible genres you would appreciate things of/for(ex: you collect shot glasses, or the ninth Doctor is your bae)?

I’m not hugely into any fandoms any more, but I still like to occasionally pick up stuff related to Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Joel era), Supernatural (with focus on Dean), and various anime (Black Butler has some cool merchandise - either Sebastian or Grell, and never ever Sebastian/Ciel!). I also have a small but growing collection of lucky cat / maneki neko stuff.

Do you have a favorite Fall/Halloween symbol?
Bats! I also like ravens and rats and mice and ghosts and skeletons and all sorts of simple or cute Halloween symbols. I like vampires a lot, too.

First, talk to me about soaps- do you like them, and what kinds of scents/lather/varieties do you like?
I love bar soaps! Not so much the glycerin/melt and pour ones, but all other kinds. I’m fine with scrubby ones, and I like pretty much most scents when it comes to soap. I love clove-scented soaps, other spicy scents, mint scents, resin scents, even some florals and herb scents (rose, lilac, lemon verbena, etc.).

Second, tell me about teas! Favorites? Anything you'd like to try?
Oh, gosh, I have so many teas that I’m trying not to acquire any more until I’ve used up what I have. That said, if you have a favourite you’d like to share, I’d be up for trying it.

Lastly, I go to Renn Faire- is there anything from there you might like?
I’ve only been to a Renn Faire type event once in my life, and that was decades ago, so I really have no idea. If you see something that you think I’d like, then I probably would!

What Weenie of years past are you seeking from the lab?
Dorian in the Pumpkin Patch is the one that comes to mind first. I wouldn’t mind trying Snake Oil in the Pumpkin Patch either, but I love Dorian, so I’ve always sort of regretted that I didn’t get a bottle of that.

Are you a shawl wearer- and if you don't wear one now, would you?
I’m not, but I could be! I’m always cold in the winter, yet I hate to turn up the heat if I can possibly avoid it, so a shawl would be lovely for some extra warmth. Of course, a purely pretty non-warm scarf would also be very nice!

Tell me about LUSH- do you like them? If so, what are some of your favorite things from there? Particularly fond scents or products? Stuff you can't stand?
I’m not really a fan of LUSH.

So, in this swap, you open a goodie every day. I have seen this gift direction done several different ways, but I am interested in which you are most keen to do. Would you rather:
A. have strict direction as to which gift is to be opened on which day(aka the number system)?
B.have a few gifts that are meant to be opened on specific days (ex: *this* one is for Halloween night only), but the rest be your choice?
C. have a free-for-all, grab bag-style box of goodies, where you are the sole arbiter of your goodie grabbing destiny(everything is wrapped but you pick the gift you want to open each day)?
D. be surprised?
I’ll be fine with however you want to do it.

Stuff from Japan?
Oh my gosh, ANYTHING! I read/watch a lot of manga and anime, so I’m kind of intrigued by most things Japanese, and there are so many super cute things from Japan! I’m especially fond of maneki neko stuff, and anything related to one of the manga or anime series I like would be super cool. I’m sure I’ve listed them all at various times in various questionnaires, but right now the ones that spring to mind are Psychic Detective Yakumo / Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, The Ancient Magus’ Bride / Mahou Tsukai no Yome, Ghost Hunt (Akuryou series & Akumu no Sumu ie), Library War / Toshokan Sensou, Black Butler / Kuroshitsuji, Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok / Matantei Loki Ragnarok, Adekan, Hellsing, Demon Prince of Momochi House, and Diabolik Lovers. I’ve managed to get CDs with the theme songs from a lot of my favourite shows, but I’m still noticeably missing the character songs from Inu X Boku (I have a copy of MUCC’s song “Nirvana”, but none of the other songs featured in the show) and Cascade’s song “sexy sexy” from Ghost Stories / Gakkou no kaidan, so copies of any of those would be great (don’t need originals - downloaded and burned onto a CD is fine). I think a mix CD of your favourite Japanese pop songs or the like if you have them would be fantastic, too. Stationary, Hello Kitty, any cute stuff would be welcomed and loved. Oh, I would love a postcard or souvenir from your part of Japan - something specific to your hometown or where you’re living now would be really cool to get.

Pumpkin Spice or No Pumpkin Spice?
I’m probably going to come down on the side of No Pumpkin Spice. I don’t really like the scent of pumpkin, and the only pumpkin flavored things I get excited about are pumpkin beers and Trader Joe’s pumpkin muffins.

Milk, white, and/or Dark Chocolate?
Milk is the best, and I like some white too (Green & Black has a very nice white chocolate bar, which unfortunately my local grocery store has apparently stopped stocking). Dark chocolate is my least favourite, and I like it less the darker it gets, but if there’s other stuff in it (mint, for instance), it works sometimes.

Do you like Yankee Candle? Anything you want from there?
Nothing I can think of, but a votive or two would be fine.

Trading Post Goodies?
My old BPTP pen is pretty beat up, so I wouldn’t mind a replacement. I’d love to try The Serpentine perfume oil - that’s the only thing really tempting me at the moment. Or if you have an unloved decant of Portrait of a Young Woman with Unicorn hair gloss or Saint Justina with the Unicorn hair gloss sitting around, I wouldn’t mind trying either one of those.

Bath and Bodyworks?
I’m overstocked on Bath & Body Works stuff for the most part, but I do go through their PocketBacs pretty quick, so I’m always happy to get more.

Tell me of your Sock Dreams, please!
The bamboo cushy lounger crew or black or charcoal striped crew socks are nice, as are a lot of the critter crew or midcalf socks (love the Mr. Fox crew!). Favourite critter socks (besides Mr. Fox, of course) are the Koi Fish crew, Shark Attack midcalf, New Zealand Sleepy Sheep bed socks, Love Bunny crew, and Monsters midcalf socks. I also like the Cotton Lace anklet socks in any of the dark colors (black, brown, navy).

i'd like to make some baked goods, would you like some? And if you have any food allergies what can I use as a substitute?
Absolutely! I love home baked stuff, and I have no food allergies to worry about.

Anything special you want from the Target dollar spot?
Nothing I’m aware of at the moment.

I live in The Netherlands. If there's anything in particular that you'd like to get from here, now's the time to tell!
I don't really know anything about the Netherlands or what special things are available there, but I'm open to anything you might want to share! A souvenir or something you think is representative of your country would be great - I'd love to learn more about it!

I'm sort of collecting Lush showergels.Regular collection, but also many Kitchen items. Are there any showergels you'd like to try? I'd be happy to make you samples!
I'm not familiar with Lush shower gels, so there's nothing I'm specifically wanting to try.

What is your stance on Glitter?
I'm pro-glitter! Most everything is better with a little (or a lot of) glitter on it!

Also, if you have a Goodreads or other online reading log, does it include a wishlist? Otherwise, is it safe to assume books on the 'to-read' section are wishlist items? Or are you less into keeping a physical copy of the book, and instead prefer to turn to the awesomeness of the library to get your to-read need accomplished.
I don't have a Goodreads or other online reading log.

how about art? (Small/mailing safe sizes, course)
As long as it's small, sure.

Tea lovers, what do you like from Whittard?
I know nothing at all about Whittard, so I checked it out. Even though the question was about tea, the first thing that caught my eye was that they have hot chocolate in addition to tea. The white hot chocolate sounds fantastic, as do the limited edition spiced flavour hot chocolate and the orange flavor hot chocolate. Tea-wise, I wouldn't mind trying the Spice Imperial, Vanilla Sundae, Regal Blend, Chilli Chai, or Petit Macaron. Or maybe the Cherry Blossom green tea?
How do you feel about reading series out of order? Obviously not in situations where the subsequent books are part of the same story arc where you will be totally lost and frustrated if you haven't read all of them, but say, standalone stories which are technically part of a series and which might obliquely reference past books, but not in such as way as to spoil the plot of the book which I happen to have in my possession that you might like.
If it can be read as a stand-alone, then sure.   Would you be interested in a Halloween themed short story anthology?
Absolutely!   Is there a limit to the number of books you'd like to receive?
Hmm, I hate to put a limit on books, but I'm so far behind on reading the books that I already have stacking up, so maybe no more than 3 or 4?   Have you read Movies in 15 Minutes by our very own Cleolinda? Would you like to?
I haven't. I see maybe one current movie a year, so I'm not sure this book would really be my sort of thing.   What kind of phone do you have?
A regular old non-smart flip phone.   Have you seen the horror film The Babadook? If so, did you like it? Would you want something Babadook-themed?
Nope.   Those who are amenable to yarnie things--ok, two questions: Any undesirable fibers (wool allergy, vegan so no critter hair at all, etc.)? and how do you feel about cowls/infinity scarves?
As long as no critters are harmed in the process of collecting their hair, I'm fine with it. One of my friends gifted me an infinity scarf last year and showed me how to use it, so I can handle an infinity scarf now.   Incense:
I like it, but I almost never burn it. Candles are just easier for me to use.

Motherhood update:
I'm really tempted by Reapers Gonna Reap. I can see myself ordering a bottle of that at some point. None of the others were as tempting, but I'd like to at least try Baby's First Krampuslauf, Heavenly Spark, My Little Grotesque, and Texare.

Awesome

Yup. I love bargain hunting.

Meh. The CNE is 3 hours away and the local fair kinda sucks. I'm sure a real state fair would be awesome though.

- You throw caution to the wind and runaway to join a traveling circus. What job would you want ( a main performer, a side show, a behind the scenes spot, etc) and why?
Lion tamer. Or Ring Master.

- What mythical or fantastic race of creatures (dragons, unicorns, griffins, elves, dwarves, faeries, etc.) do you most identify with?
Elves. Faeries too. I also kinda dig dragons.

My favourite ring, the puzzle box my grandfather picked up while serving in the Korean War, a wine cork, lip balm (I am NEVER without balm and have an extra 10 stashed around my apartment), empty imps of my favourite bpals and, my copy of the Outsiders by S.E. no

Notes (Here's where you can add additional information you'd like your Switch Witch to know!):
Dear Witch: You are awesome!! Please know that this questionnaire is just meant to help you come up with some ideas. I am going to adore anything you send me and (hopefully) we'll both gain a new friend. Thanks so much!

Would you be interested in home made food items?
- garlic dill pickles - no thank you because we use my late grandfather's recipe and make our own every year.
- blackberry jam - Oh yeah, I LOVE blackberry all the things.
- dried honey crisp apples - no thank you
- applesauce (with or without red hots) - no thank you.
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting) - This sounds incredible, yes please.
- honey from our bees - OMG yes please!
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over) - I'd love to sample this.
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike? - It'll depend on what can survive the post office the best, I think. Maybe fudge or cookies. If you ordered me something local or purchased a gift certificate, I love pastries and pies and cheesecake.
Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I usually make flat bottom round pouches with a pocket inside and a drawstring. Possibility of embroidery if we still have the huge commercial machine.
Sure.
Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?)
I am SUPER sensitive to traditional wool (I itch so hard) but merino is fine. Acrylic is good too, and I love silk and cashmere.

Would you want a quilted pot holder? No thank you.

Do you have any preferred flavour of shortbread?
I love shortbread. The more the merrier.

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK?
Nothing food wise because I can find most of the candy/sweets in Canada. I do adore London, so anything London themed is awesome.

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from Japan? Crazy flavoured kitkats, anything sailor moon (specifically Sailor Jupiter) maneki-neko, pens and stationery, toys, anything Studio Ghibli (Howl's Moving Castle, Totoro, Spirited Away - I love soot sprites!),

Harry Potter? I love, love, LOVE Harry Potter. I'm a Hufflepuff (according to my sorting quiz) but I adore Ravenclaw as well. Hermione and Luna are my favourite characters.

Hibiscus Seeds? No thank you.

Does anyone like fleece character hats? Like these: http://wonderlandonl...like-fleece-hat? What kinda characters would you like to see? They're adorable but I'd probably never where it.

Reused Packing Supplies? I have no problem with people reusing viable packing supplies.

Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?) I indulge a little bit (I've had my one PSL of the year) but I don't really need more.

Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there?
I'm sarandipitee on etsy. My wishlist is here

Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay?
I've never tried it.

would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings.
I love journals! They can be plain or fancy. I like lined over blank.

If you are ok with knitted things, what colors do you like?
Jewel tones! Garnet red, emerald green, etc. Deep deep purple, onyx black.
If striping, what two (or more) colors together?
HUFFLEPUFF REPRESENT. Srsly I would love a Harry Potter house scarf for Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.

If you want yarn, what colors do you want?
--- A color palette would be lovely if you use Pinterest. Or just want to post palette photos in your blog.
Aside from jewel tones, I also like soft heathered yarn - in earth tones (green, brown, grey etc) but only if you are kind enough to make me something as I can't knit So please don't send me yarn.

Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc.
I have no crafting skills to speak of, so fabric isn't for me. If you can make me something cool out of fabric (like a cool pillow cover or stuffed animal) the softer and cooler the fabric the better.

What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer?
I love David's tea! Black and fruity herbals are my fave. I drink it hot and cold. But if you have a fave tea you want to send me, go for it! I love to try new things.

If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer?
Ooh a bag. With art on it But I do love me some fingerless gloves.

What are your favorite fandoms, if any?
OMG I am a huge nerd so I'll narrow this down to 5 loves: Stranger Things (tv show), Labyrinth (movie), Marvel (specifically Captain America/Avenger movies and in comics Captain Marvel and Kate Bishop Hawkeye), Mad Max: Fury Road (movie) and The Flash (TV).

Authors - Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter. Heard of them? Love them, hate them, or eh?
I don't know them - but Hunter's Rogue Mage series looks interesting.

I mentioned my allergies earlier. I don't need any washcloths but scarves are always welcome.

Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use?
I've been using the Origins Ginzing line I discovered at Sephora and I LOVE it. The refreshing scrub, refreshing eye cream and energy boosting moisturizer. The stuff has been magic on my super picky and problematic skin (I'm dry and prone to acne at the same time). Origins is pricey though so I'm not expecting my Witch to splurge for me. Origins has great samples of various masks I'd love to try as well, for really good prices.

Bath/shower products?
I adore Lush (twilight bath bombs, the rough with the smooth body scrub, wiccy magic muscle bar and karam soap are my staples), paintbox soapworks and love to try any kind of handmade soap. I'm pretty much down for any kind of bath products - I love to relax in the tub.

BPTP products? Pre-owned okay?
For sure! Hair gloss is my jam, and I love bath oils. I love the atmos sprays but my other half is super sensitive so goblin squirts or samples are the best since I won't use much at a time.
Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay?
Yes please! I'd love to get some. Go by my fave perfume notes for ideas please.

Favorite animal?
Cats, I love cats. Also ravens and crows and foxes and otters.

Twilight Alchemy Lab oils?
I love my TALS. Any amount of Ebon Night or Nocturne is welcome as I'm a huge insomniac. I lost my bottle of Seduction IX in my move so any of that as well is so welcome.

Jewel Tones:
Emerald green, deep wine purple, garnet blood red, midnight blue, darkest black.

Elements & Artifacts has a fall/halloween collection up? Anything catch your eye?
I LOVE E&A. My etsy wishlist has loved a quite a few of her beautiful items and I've ordered myself the PSYCOMANTEUM earrings.

And speaking of shops from BPAL folks, any favorites in the stores on the SW Stalking and Services Spreadsheet?
I added some faves to my etsy list.

Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in?
Sadly I've had zero luck with HoG's hair oil and perfume oil so maybe their lip balm?

Ren Faire/Honey?
Ren faire no, honey yes!

Coloring Books?
No thank you (I have 4 already and I don't get to colour them as much as I'd like).

Would you be interested in Kings Game by Lisa Millraney
No thank you.

Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc?
I don't celebrate, so no thank you.

Anyone hankering for Craftsy classes?
No thank you.

Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games?
I'd love a copy of Cards Against Humanity (as long as it wasn't a fortune). I don't use puzzle books, prefer to use my Nintendo 2DS or phone and I have no room for puzzles. Plus, I'm betting my cat Atticus would like to eat the pieces.
Though I've been playing with sculpee lately and like making sort of character or fandom inspired bead/pendants, would that be something you'd like or have use for?
Something simple - like Captain Marvel's symbol or like Star Wars rebel logo would be cool.

Erotica or BDSM - yay or nay, and if yay, what kinds of things?
I'm super picky so I'll pass
My local farmers market has a pepper specialist who makes dried pepper powders. Would you like some and if so what level of spicyness.
I still have a jar of dried peppers from my Mom's crop from last year so no thanks.

Tarot cards/oracle decks - yay or nay?
If yay, do you already have any?
Which ones?
I don't know how to use them . I have a tarot set I've never really gotten good with

Cryptozoology/cryptids (Big Foot, lake monsters, chupacabra, etc.) - yay or nay?
If yay, any favourites?
Nessie is cute.

Weenies
The Weenies are my absolute fave update of the year. Ones I'm interested in: Devil's NIght 2016, Dead Leaves and Blackberries, Dead Leaves and Sugared Cardamom, Yipe!, Spiced Autumn Cider, The Wan White Humming Hive and The Ghost of Clytemnestra Awakening the Furies

BPTP Weenies
Witches and Vampires for Hilary pins, The Ghost Story spray, Lycanthrope Brown HG, Pistachio Pumpkin Cupcake Bath Oil.

Mead
I'd love to try some mead, but shipping to Canada is going to be pricey - the weight might drive that up (and I don't know if it would survive customs).

Art Nouveau
Those are lovely! I would totally hang Sorsha and Lydia on my walls. For commission work - Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), Luna Lovegood from HP or even Raven Reyes from the 100.

Choker
I don't like things wrapped tight around neck so no to choker style, But if it was made more like a lariat style it would work perfect for me. I love the leaves at the end and if it was a Fall theme for colour it would be gorgeous.

Anything here: http://paintboxsoapworks.com/ look like something you'd like to try (assuming that you're not already ordering it)?
I love Paintbox in general…I did get several samples of Weenies so I can report back what is amazing to me.

Do you like stuff related to Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)?
I do. My heritage is not Mexican, so I don’t want to do anything appropriative, but I’ve read a fair amount on the traditions, and I’ve always celebrated my family who have passed on, I still talk to them on a daily basis, etc., and I do set up a little altar for them for Dia de los Muertos.

Knitted Items?
sure! I love it all.

Fandom/Specific Items?
I don’t really fangirl over things, but my entertainment loves are Dr. Who, Inspector Morse and spinoffs, Welcome to Night Vale, World of Warcraft, old RPGs…specific items I magpie over are interesting rocks, pottery, pins for my knapsack. I also have a thing for Minions and various mashup shirts (I have Minion Star Wars, Dr. Who, and Firefly shirts, and I will someday get the Seagulls have the phone box shirt).

Fall/Halloween Icons?
ravens, owls, falling leaves, bare branches/trees, clouds over the moon, pumpkins, gourds (all those lovely atmospheric cliches, right? )

First, talk to me about soaps- do you like them, and what kinds of scents/lather/varieties do you like?
I love soap: hot process, cold process, glycerin, hair shampoo bars…Scents pretty much follow my general scent likes—I lean kind of unisex/masculine in soap: green, herbal, woods, leather, some citrus and fruity things. I’m not a huge fan of scrubby soaps with bits of things that don’t dissolve or things like glitter in soap because they’re just scratchy to me. I’m a big fan of sugar scrubs for that particular need.

Second, tell me about teas! Favorites? Anything you'd like to try?
Favorite teas are generally black (flavored or plain) and herbal. I like green and white, also. I’m up for anything that isn’t rooibos or includes licorice root (the sweet aftertaste weirds me out). Some of my favorites are a rose mint white tea, Russian caravan, chai, and the cheapie herbal teas like Celestial Seasonings mandarin orange spice, lemon zinger, etc. I’m not a tea snob by any means. =)

Lastly, I go to Renn Faire- is there anything from there you might like?
no idea, I’m sure I’d love something, never been to a renn faire

What Weenie of year's past are you seeking from the lab?
I usually strike out on most Weenies because foodies don’t work on me, and I have a sensitivity to cinnamon. There are a few in my w/l from past Weenies that I never got to try…I wouldn’t mind tracking down a partial of 2012’s Autumn Coolness, or if that one ever comes back, the newer one…my favorite Weenie hands down is La Calavera Catrina.

Are you a shawl wearer- and if you don't wear one now, would you?
yes! love shawls, shawlettes, whatever.

Tell me about LUSH- do you like them? If so, what are some of your favorite things from there? Particularly fond scents or products? Stuff you can't stand?
I’m pretty much a Lush newbie…I know I had a little mini pot of lotion that I wasn’t super enthused with, it was cocoa butter I think and I didn’t like my hands smelling like tootsie rolls. I have a bath bomb from them that I haven’t had a chance to use yet.

Japanese goodies?
sure! stationery bits, treats…I like things like pocky because they’re not super sweet, gummy candies, and some lovely person once sent me a candy that was like a red bean mochi in candy form, and that was kind of awesome. I’d be interested in savory snacks, too.

So, in this swap, you open a goodie every day. I have seen this gift direction done several different ways, but I am interested in which you are most keen to do. Would you rather:
I’m happy with whatever…it’s kind of fun to have a specific goodie to open on special days (ex: getting a pair of halloween socks or something on the 30th to wear for Halloween), but however my scarecrow wants to organize is cool.

The Witch is In/Out sign?
I have that for my cube at work.

Pumpkin Spice or No Pumpkin Spice?
not so much with the pumpkin spice…I LOVE pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread…I don’t really want to be inundated with it in other things. Spice things that are not necessarily pumpkin are welcome, cinnamon tea, stuff like that. I’m not much on foodie scents though.

Milk, white, and/or Dark Chocolate?
white and dark are my preferences, but the beloved is a milk chocolate person, so anything is fair game, I’m happy to share treats

Do you like Yankee Candle? Anything you want from there?
honestly we don’t use a lot from them. mistletoe votives or tarts, or something more outdoorsy/clean

Anything you have your eye on at BPTP?
claw polishes like Le Lethe, Oneiroi, Temple of Dreams, Unseelie….if they come out with a Weenie polish in a shimmer or pearl warm brown, I would be all over that…I think there was one last year and I didn’t snag it

Bath and Body Works - yay or nay?
sadly, *hell* no. I don’t know what’s in their stuff, but it breaks me out terribly.

Sock Dreams?
I own precisely one thing from Sock Dreams: a pair of armsocks that I got in the spring cleaning swap and they’re awesome, I love them. I’m down for fun socks from there or otherwise with the caveat that I have big calves, so knee socks are maybe not a great plan.
