GC Bottles Needed:
Antikythera Mechanism backup
Bensiabel?
Velvet
Mouse's Long and Sad Tale? (Delicious vanilla & sandalwood)
Bow & Crown of Conquest (snuggly vanilla-leather) bought!

CD bottles Needed:
Wulric the Wolfman bought!

Unicorns Needed:
Allegory of Chastity bought!

GC Imps Needed:
Tested, need more, contemplating bottle-
- Moar Jack
- Moar Miskatonic University
- Moar Titus Andronicus
- Moar Paris (is fresh as good as 4-year-aged? Will it last longer than 1 hour? fresh not as good as aged, still short-lived)
- Moar Smokestack (do Black Tobacco & Vetiver, Priala, and the new 13 fill the smoky resin spot enough for me, or do I need more?)
-Moar The Lotus Tree
- Moar Bow & Crown of Conquest (delicious but do I need a bottle or do Tombstone & Blood & Judgement suffice?)
- Another Old Demons of the First Class(why did I give it away to my cousin before retesting?)
Never tested, want to try -
Brown Jenkins (coconut husk) No coconut on me, only musk
Shub-Niggurath ("evil gingerbread")
Shoggoth (coconut & lime) Too much lemongrass. Gave to my mother.
Robotic Scarab & Galvanic Goggles (because there seems to be no Steamworks blend that isn't amazing except Aeliopile)
Hellfire (tobacco & leather)
Hellcat (gourmand to end all gourmands, apparently) All almond, all the time
Bordello (plum, currant, wine) cherry musk and bakewell tarts, like but don't love
Intrigue (black palm, cocoa, wood) inexplicably smells like stale sweat
Athens (honey, wine, flowers)
Eden (honey, almond, fig, coconut) cloying - damn you, almond, you do this every time
Dragon's Milk (vanilla/milk,but will the dragon's blood ruin it?) tested unsure about
Bard (cousin scent to Antikythera Mech?)
Gnome (ginger ale/rootbeer, nutmeg, machine oil?) tested - mostly ginger ale, effervescent and crisp but not for me
Halfling (pastry) oatmeal raisin cookies!
Good (sugar/honey/vanilla, but reviews mention baby powder, also worrying mentions of lemon)
Faustus (frankincense & cinnamon - GC cousin to Priala?)
Roses, Pearls, and Diamonds (will it be the good rose, or the bad rose?) (good rose)
How Doth the Little Crocodile (chocolate and mint, for wife)
Mouse's Long and Sad Tale (vanilla) Delicious vanilla & sandalwood. Bottle-worthy?
Tlazolteotl (cacao, copal, maize)
Kurukulla (rose & lotus, is it the good rose or the bad rose?)
Lawful (fruity oak, tried at NYCC but need to get imp for full-day test)
Katarina (apricot)

GC Imps - To Test:
Eat Me(cake!)
Centzon Totochtin (chocolate & wine)
Perversion (rum/tobacco/leather/champagne/tonka) - tested, leather takes over
Penitence (frankincense & myrrh) - tested, starts off funky but becomes soft/powdery sweet and comforting (but similar to Clement I's Phoenix which I already have)
Baron Samedi (bay rum)

GC Imps Tested (Liked but don't need bottle):
Bengal (glorious but burns skin)
Elegba
Eclipse
Kill-Devil (meh when fresh, improves with age)
Bastet
Red Rider (leather single note)
Jezebel (good/okay-ish rose & orange-blossom honey, glorious on hair)
Tezcatlipoca
Tenochtitlan
Tamora
Haunted
Fighter (harsh, new leather)
Halfling (delicious oatmeal raisin cookies)
Chicken Legged-Hut (horse feed/hay/sweet feed)
No. 93 Engine
Hunter (Neverwhere) half dry grass and dusty-warm cat in the sun, half lovechild of The Lion and Bow & Crown of Conquest

GC Imps Tested (Okay, but not *great*):
Queen Alice
Black Rider
The Lion
Al-Azif
Elf
Half-Elf
Dragon's Heart
Dragon's Milk
Morocco
The Deep Ones - an aquatic I can actually wear!
Azathoth - weird combo of orange & vetiver. Not sure I like it but can't stop sniffing it.
Antony - amazing when wet, vanishes within half-hour
Bordello - half sexy leather-tinged berry wine, half bakewell tart
Penitence - morphs from weird stale/funkiness through decent church incense and into cozy soft/warm powder
Perversion - leather with hints of rum and tonka, dry-down is entirely leather
Door (Neverwhere) - gentle honey-chamomile-scented LUSH bathmelt

GC Imps tested (Disliked)
Aeliopile (orange-scented dish detergant/floor cleaner)
Alice
Endymion
Dana O'Shee (too cloyingly sweet even for me)
Spellbound (the bad rose)
Defututa (jasmine ruins everything)
Al-Shairan
Dragon's Bone
Calico Jack (aquatics = not for me)
skekNa the Slave Master (harsh leather)
Sudha Segara (raw, fresh-sliced ginger, no milk)
Fire for thy Stepmother's Daughters (starts out lovely fruity white musk, ends up dryer sheets)
Intrigue (smells weirdly like sweat)
Shoggoth (lemongrass too strong))
Y'ha-nthlei (soap and dryer sheets)
Great Sword of War (citrus and red musk take over everything, avoids floor-cleaner effect but still not great)

LE Imps Tested - liked:
My Baby and a Baby Goat (wonderful! Snuggly fur musk and honey!)
The Vine (smells like fresh, juicy pear when wet, turns into delicious sweet/sticky BPAl honey as it dries)
Boo (vanilla cream and clean laundry)
Mother Shub's Spiced Lait de Chevre (goes on tangy yogurt, dries to warm milk with clove syrup, gentle and soft)
A King Pursued By a Unicorn
Good Morning London (lavender & amber)
My Little Grotesque (sweet/creamy cardamom SN)
O the Joy of My Spirit (hazelnut/tonka/pine)
First Cry of the Warbler on the Plum (wisteria, plum, and honeyed green tea, lovely spring floral)
Poor Monkey (pleasant creamy fig/lotus/ylang-ylang that almost smells like there's coconut in it, but bad during shark week)

LE Imps Tested - (Okay, but not *great*):
Joyful Dalliance in the Underworld - dead ringer for pit barbecue
Faiza - surprisingly pleasant for a white floral-type scent but burns my skin
Australian Copperhead (all acia-berry, all the time)
Leda (like a less complex De Vos with strawberry instead of apricot & more white musk)
St. Clare (too faint & fades too quickly, not as sweet as I'd hoped)
Himalia (like a less-sweet Chicken-Legged Hut)
Spiced Apple Cider ('16 Weenie)
A Commentary (apricot and vetiver and red musk, like a less-barbecue-ish Joyful Dalliance)

LEs Tested - Disaster:
Delight and Consternation - horrible floor cleaner/cleaning solvent scent
The Unicorn Rushing... - Lovely in the imp, turned feces-like on my skin (first jasmine to do so)
LEs and Discontinueds I'm Curious About:
Blood and Judgement so Well Commedled (really nice and pleasant)
Avunculus
Apple I
In the Time of Plague (buy before it's out of stock or be strong?)
All That I Possess (buy before it's out of stock or be strong?)
Amicita (everything sounds good except the carnation) - glorious!
Tarantula Fascinator
Captain Cully
The Lilac Wood
The Last Unicorn
Mommy Fortuna (The sexiest BPAL I've ever worn. Sticky honey & salty gunpowder)
Aristocratic Couple
Arana
Haloes (as a Dark Delicacies blend, might as well be a disc./LE for me) (like the lighter, spring/summer version of Antikythera Mechanism!)
Adante con Fantasia (why did I not order a decant when I could?)
Ivory Vulva/Glowing Vulva (haha, good luck!)
Katrina van Tassel (yeah, like that's gonna happen)
Question Mark
Atlas Moth
Gypsy Moth
Grievous Swarm - wonderful gritty vetiver/myrrh, my holy grail vetiver scent
Bjugnakraekir
Perilous Parlor

Notes that ruin things:
Jasmine (star jasmine is apparently a different plant)
Dead Leaves note/accord
Carnation (except in Bow & Crown of Conquest)
Ozone/aquatic notes
Narcissus (the most cloying white floral of them all)
Lily of the Valley (except in Audumla)
Patchouli (very occasionally okay if the other notes drown it out/you can't smell it in the blend)
Nag Champa (bad "headshop" associations)
Hemp accord/Weed (reeeeaally bad associations)
Lemon verbena (horrible lemon cleaning solvent of doom)

Notes that are iffy:
Rose (wonderful in Adrastea and Lush's Rose Jam, okay in Jezebel, Roses, Pearls & Diamonds, and Allegory of Chastity, awful in Hedylogos, Harlot, The Rose, and some other rose blends)
Ylang-Ylang (sometimes okay, sometime too white floral-y)
Orange Blossom (same as Ylang-Ylang)
Champaca (will it be too reminiscent of Nag Champa?)
Lily (high risk of soap)
Lavender (will it remind me too much of my mother's bath products?)
Dragon's Blood (was this the note that rendered Dragon's Heart too perfume-y?)
Red Musk (or was it this one?)
White Musk (high risk of dryer sheets)
Black Musk (possibly what turned Black Rider into baby powder?)
Basically all musks except "skin musk" nope, all musks
White sandalwood (similar effect to white musk)
Most florals
"Dirt"/"Loam" etc.
All citrus notes
Oude/oud (can smell sour/fecal)

Notes of Win:
Vanilla
Marshmallow
Honey
Coconut
Tobacco
Myrrh
Amber (black, golden)
Teak
Benzoin
Cream/milk
Goats Milk
Nutmeg

Notes of Like:
Leather (like but amp)
Vetiver (would be under "love" if Joyful Dalliances in the Underworld hadn't smelled like pit barbecue and Death Adder hadn't been... weirdly and inexplicably unpleasant)
Cocoa (love but can vanish or be cloying)
Almond (like but can be cloying)
Cake
Cinnamon (love but amp liek woah)
Clove (love but amp)
Coffee
Pumpkin
Peach (like but skin eats it)
Pear (hard to find, often paired with icky florals)
Lilac
Frankincense (like but skin eats it)
"Resin"
"Smoke"
"Spices"
"woods"
Beeswax
Hazelnut
Orris/orris root + coconut
Sage
Fig
Oak
Lotus (possibly the glorious crisp, fruity note in the wet phase of Paris, possibly also what caused Paris to vanish off my skin in under an hour) - confirmed, Lotus is the wonderful crisp/juicy sweet fruit note from wet/freshly applied Paris.

Notes I Amp:
Leather
Cinnamon
Possibly Rose
Possibly Clove
Possibly Honey?
Possibly Jasmine (or maybe I just hate it enough that any jasmine is too much jasmine)

BPAL Collection

Updated: 7/26/2016

Scent Name (Year)
# of Bottles / Imps
Preference - Highest, High, Medium, Low
Lab Description
Thoughts

---

BOTTLES:

Aradia
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "A veil of smoked patchouli, sweet oak, and opoponax sweetened by bourbon vanilla."
Thoughts: Sweet woodiness, just slightly smoky/dry, very deep vanilla darkened by opoponax. Sits close to the skin, very sensuous, but excellent throw.

Aristocratic Couple
#: 2.5
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Bourbon vanilla, preserved apricot, and cardamom"
Thoughts: Beautiful vanilla and apricot, with just a little dry spiciness from the cardamom. Very warm and comforting scent. Not overly foody.

Boomslang - (2016)
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "Snake Oil with cocoa, teakwood, and rice milk."
Thoughts: Warm, creamy vanilla-heavy Snake Oil is prominent. Teakwood and just a breath of deep, dark, dry cocoa ground the scent and keep it from going too powdery or sweet. It's a very dark, warm, gentle scent.

Chaos Theory: Gourmand #8
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: None given
Thoughts: Melted milk chocolate and cream, macadamia nut, vanilla. Very warm, gently sweet, buttery macadamia, extremely creamy. Subtle foody scent with low throw that sticks close to skin.

Dorian
#: 2
Preference: High
Lab Description: "A Victorian fougere with three pale musks and dark, sugared vanilla tea."
Thoughts: Black tea, sugar, a little musk. Beautiful, dark, delicate, sweet, not at all foody. Very calming. This is my go-to "chill out" scent.

Eat Me
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "Three white cakes, vanilla, and red and black currants."
Thoughts: Buttery, sweet cakes and just a ribbon of juicy redness. Extremely foody.

Edith (Crimson Peak 2015)
#: 4
Preference: Highest
Lab Description: "Pearlescent vanilla musk with white sandalwood, grey amber, white patchouli, ambrette seed, and oudh."
Thoughts: This is my ideal vanilla scent. I could wear this all the time. It's a very delicate, white vanilla. Just a little touch of airiness from the ambrette seed and white sandalwood, and a little warmth from the grey amber and oudh - reminiscent of the scent of sleep-warmed skin. Ultimately, it's a white, delicate, almost fragile vanilla.

Giljagaur
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "Coconut cream, sheep’s milk accord, and a drop of Ceylon cinnamon."
Thoughts: Creamy, warm, just a little sweet, and just a little touch of cinnamon to really enhance the coziness. This is what the "a hug from your mom wearing a warm sweater on a cold day"-feeling smells like.

Gingerbread Snake
#: 1
Preference: UNTESTED
Lab Description: "Gingerbread and exotic Indonesian oils sugared with vanilla."
Thoughts: UNTESTED

Gingerbread Sin
#: 1
Preference: High (during Christmas!)
Lab Description: "Gingerbread with amber, sandalwood, black patchouli and cinnamon."
Thoughts: Gingerbread, brought dark and sensual with amber, sandalwood, and patchouli. This is somehow both very sexy and very festive at the same time.

Gypsy
#: 3.5 (plus one almost empty bottle)
Preference: Highest
Lab Description: "Bourbon vanilla, Egyptian musk, tonka, white sugar, and cardamom."
Thoughts: Sugar, vanilla, and cardamom are the notes most obvious on me. I can smell the delicate sugar crystals infused with vanilla bean, and the cardamom keeps it a little spicy and a little dry.

Harp of Cnoc I'Choisgar
#: 2
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Gilded amber, tiare, golden sandalwood, vanilla, cardamom, and tagetes."
Thoughts: Amber heavy, spicy-sweet tagetes, dry and hot cardamom, warm and creamy vanilla, golden warm sandalwood. Beautiful scent, long lasting, excellent close to the skin.

Harvesters, The
#: 2
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Pear trees, boiled oats, and wine beside a ripe field of wheat."
Thoughts: Smells exactly like a warm, carmelized pear crumble with oatmeal streusel.

Hesiod's Phoenix
#: 1
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Golden amber, bourbon vanilla, and sweet oudh."
Thoughts: The three notes blend seamlessly and change very little, just warming up and encompassing me in a cozy cocoon of amber, dark vanilla, and oudh.

Hymn to Proserpine
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "The darkening amber of faith’s sunset, deepened by the dark fruits of Proserpine."
Thoughts: Deep, dark, smoldering amber that's sweet and warm. Fruits that bring to mind midnight purple and black juciness without being tart.

Imp
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "White peach, amber, golden musk and patchouli."
Thoughts: Juicy warm peach (not fresh peach so much as roasted/warmed peach), darkened a little by spicy woodiness, gilded with the musk and amber.

Ivory Vulva
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "Marshmallow root, coconut, macadamia milk, cream accord, and a drop of golden amber."
Thoughts: Buttery cream and coconut with just a little sweetness from the marshmallow and warmth from the amber. Just pushing the line of gourmand.

Mouse's Long and Sad Tale
#: 1
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "Vanilla, two ambers, sweet pea and white sandalwood."
Thoughts: Woody, warm, sweet - amber and vanilla heavy, sweet pea for a little softness and gentleness.

Peach V (2016 Dragon*Con)
#:1
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Peach caramel with blackened vanilla, patchouli, and teakwood."
Thoughts: Overall, this is a beautifully balanced blend. It's warm and sweet, not foody, not particularly "fresh peachy" - but the peach is still a solid foundation for the scent. The vanilla makes it a darker scent, the patch is very subtle (just lending a little earthiness and spiciness), and the teakwood is woody and dry in the background, but not too strong. It reminds me a lot of a blend between Aradia and Imp.

Phantom Queen
#: 3 + 1 10ml
Preference: Highest (SIGNATURE SCENT)
Lab Description: "Black orchid, apple blossom, meadowsweet, and rue over Irish moss, hawthorn and red clover."
Thoughts: Wet, hot, warm, sweet, sensual, sexy. This DEFIES description. This is the smell of my wedding, of the beginning of my career, of meeting my best friend, of moving into my own home. This is the scent of my Irish heritage, and of Ireland, which can bring me to tears even from just listening to the music or seeing photos of the magical greens and purples and greys and blues. This is the way my soul - my life - would smell. This is MY scent.

Pleasant Embrace
#: 1.5
Preference: Medium
Lab Description: "Lemon-silvered musk and white pear."
Thoughts: Crispy, sweet, juicy pear with no greenness. Perfectly ripe. Just a little bit of crystalline lemon-musk to add some shimmer. Very gentle scent, low throw.

Pumpkin Latte
#: 2
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Espresso, pumpkin syrup, smoky vanilla bean, milk, raw sugar, and a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg."
Thoughts: Warm milk, caramelized pumpkin, dark and smoky vanilla bean, sweet dark sugar, spices - and holding it all up, DEAD RINGER for espresso oil. This fades so beautifully into a perfect representation of espresso oil. I love this.

Reapers Gonna Reap
#: 1
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Musky vanilla sandalwood."
Thoughts: Cool, dry sandalwood with light musk and white, not-sweet, not-warm vanilla. This is probably the least sweet vanilla I've ever smelled from the lab.

Serving Fish
#: 2
Preference: Highest
Lab Description: "Gilded sweet pea, pink musk, and vanilla sugar."
Thoughts: LOVE this. Sweet, not too floral, sugary, pink, girly.

Smut (2015)
#: 2
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Three swarthy, smutty musks sweetened with sugar and woozy with dark booze notes."
Thoughts: Dark sugar (think raw sugar), smooth deep musks, and sweet, sexy booze with none of the acrid or sharp alcohol notes - like if rum and vanilla and sugar was all cooked down into a syrup with the alcohol burned off.

Snake Oil (2009)
#: 2
Preference: Highest
Lab Description: "A blend of exotic Indonesian oils sugared with vanilla."
Thoughts: Spicy, warm, deep, dark vanilla!

Some Strangeness in the Proportion
#: 2
Preference: Highest
Lab Description: "Rich vanilla sandalwood elegantly distorted by oudh, labdanum, scarlet saffron, and pink pepper."
Thoughts: Deep, dark, sweet vanilla. Pink pepper and oudh give the scent a top note that is heady and intriguing. The perfect dark and sensual vanilla, in contrast to my perfect crystalline vanilla (Edith).

Stekkjarstaur
#: 1
Preference: High
Lab Description: "Woolly sugared marshmallow root."
Thoughts: Marshmallow and sugar - but somehow, not foody. It's very organic. Very soft and cozy and delicate.

The reason I have a ton of BNNU aged stuff...

This is BPAL. We love long, rambling stories as long as we get to sniff lovely things at the end, right? So, buckle in.   (This isn't either too long or too rambling, but be forewarned that I do tend to trend towards both of those things.)   About 8 years ago, my husband and daughter both tried to die on the same day - she swallowed a quarter which got stuck in her clavicle and that also needed to be surgically removed under full anesthesia, and his tonsillectomy scab fell off while we were in the Children's Hospital ER. Both of them were gushing blood from their noses and/or throats within mere hours of each other, and I'm a useless fainter in the presence of gore. Luckily, we were in a hospital and the surgeon who did husband's tonsillectomy was in residence. They both lived (yay!)...   ... but I started having anxiety attacks the very next month due to a combination of preexisting mental instability and worsening physical health problems, which somehow combined with the PTSD from that day to give me agoraphobia (Monty Python and the Unenthusiastic yay). I overcompensated for some time after that by attempting to use perfume, makeup, and bath and body products as a sort of "shield" to give me confidence against the outside world. It backfired spectacularly, and those products actually ended up triggering more attacks just by using them as my brain eventually made the links from "using products" to "going outside" and finally to "melting down". I gradually stopped buying anything other than what I could use up quickly, my "holy grail" products (basically the ones that didn't cause attacks), and the occasional little present with scent notes I already knew that I liked here and there; birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, tax return splurges. I stopped frequenting the websites and forums related to those products to prevent impulse buys. I stopped hanging out with people I genuinely care for because I associated them with those products.   (If you're one of my old BPAL friends, first of all, my most sincere apologies for shutting you out. I did it to everyone outside of the literally inescapable immediate family members. So, shoot me a message! I'd love to know how you're doing lately!)   That's the long and boring tale of my hoard. I'm trying to reclaim my life recently, as much as I can. Little by little, day by day, let's make some progress together!

Vanilla for remembrance

Today I'm testing a decant of Love's Philosophy. I ate an entire tube of mini M&M's in the morning around 9:30, alas. However, at lunch time I made much better choices, focussing on protein (hummus) and vegetables (celery & cukes,) to feel full & satisfied. I've enjoyed the vanilla creaminess of LP and Boo HG all day. I think it helped me to be mindful after dinner, because I caught a vanilla whiff as I was preparing to put away leftovers. I felt my stomach, and noticed that I felt satisfied. As a result, I did not pick at the leftovers and mindlessly overstuff myself.

Day at home with laundry, minestrone and a windstorm

Today is turning out to be pretty sedentary, except for some laundry. After my shower, I put on Snake Oil, Revenant Rhythm HG, and a cozy sweater and jeans. Since we're likely to lose power some time today due to high winds, we made minestrone.

I'm knitting, drinking black tea, and haven't felt a need to supplement the tea with goodies. A couple of times while watching my family eat nibbles, I've thought about making popcorn. Each time, I've had a little more water or tea, and felt my belly. Since I'm not getting hunger signals, I've waited for the impulse to pass, and each time it has.

Of course now that I've written about popcorn, my mouth is watering a little. I'll see if water makes it pass, and if not, I'll have a little bit .

The Experiment

I have decided that I'm going to use BPAL as an incentive to make healthier choices. My weight has gone up and up and up over the last several years. I do not like what's happening to my endurance, strength, agility, blood pressure, or my risk for developing diabetes!   My plan is:   1. Associate the pleasure I take in smelling great with healthy behavior. (I'm wearing a different BPAL to my Weight Watchers meetings each week, so I can tie what I'm learning to scent.)
2. Reward myself with BPAL purchases for healthy behaviors (like increased fresh fruit & vegetable intake, exercise, drinking more water, increased flexibility & strength, reduced body measurements, etc.)   I haven't yet figured out what the criteria for rewards will be, and would love wisdom from the room :-).   Ideas:
Walk 1000 steps farther each week for X weeks = a bottle?
My resting heart rate goes down?
Accomplish a physical activity without huffing and puffing?
Low blood pressure number goal?
My hope is that by using BPAL to say "atta girl!", I'll train myself to feel rewarded without involving caloric overload.

BPTP: https://blackphoenixtradingpost.com/my-lists/view-wishlists/?wlid=1963 - this doesnt seem to be working properly as its only showing one thing - have asked Puddin to have a look at the website, but if you need a real wishlist, just ask

I keep all my wishlists up to date, but ignore the 'shops' bit on Etsy as sometimes those are things for other people.

Do you like colouring? yes but dont really have the time right now

Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies? socks!

Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc? no

Graphic novels: we have a huge collection, only really want the ones in my wishlist or something local I couldn't get over here

Nail Polish: I only wear it on my toes (because gardening) and I only wear BPTP stuff these days. I have Moth Shadow, Dream Awake, Titan Toadstools, Oneiroi and Temple of Dreams

BPTP: yes, love the bath oils, like some atmos, can't use hair gloss. Would kill to try some Floof if it becomes available

Plain edge please

I was thinking about busting out the sculpy clay - I sometimes like to make cute little fantasy miniature sculpture, like fairy doors, or miniature garden gnomes for potted plants, or I've even made a couple of tiny smaug's based on this cartoon. If you were my witchee, how would you feel about receiving some tiny fantasy art for your home? Any preference between a fairy door, or a garden gnome, a tiny fairy box, or something like smaug? All the Smaugs!

If you won a gift certificate for $100 (Or similar amount in your country) that could be used ANYWHERE what would you get? either clothes from Nomads or BPTP, or garden stuff from Crocus

Something that you look forward to each spring, or that when you see it (hear it/smell it/taste it, etc) you think "Yes! Spring is here!" or something along those lines! seeing catkins appear

SW Spring Fool's 2016

Would you be interested in any handmade critters? Stuffed animals, knit or crochet beasties, or anything remotely similar? If so, please give an example or five sure. i love dogs, cats, groundhogs, hedgehogs, sloths, dragons, gargoyles

Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Flowers (seeds, real, or handmade) prank-related items, a court jester's cap? Something spring related. A stuffed bunny. I have no idea. lol

Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet? no thanks

Geek paraphernalia! Almost everyone here has SOME sort of geek-love, whether it is Harry potter, Horror movies, graphic novels, science, etc. So would you be interested in any kind of items related to your geek-ish interests? i love steampunk, creating jewelry or books/albums, boxes and things in the steampunk/victorian style. I like a lot of geeky things but not any one specific thing. And I always blank out when I have to ask questions. Feel free to drop me a note

Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities? none

would you like pretty stationery/note cards, etc, for writing snail mail? no thanks

If you could have any BPALs right now (GC, LE, HTF) what would they be? none at this time

Any places you would like gift cards from?Amazon, sock dreams, BPAl, LUSH, any craft store

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences? not really. thanks.

Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)? not now

Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything? i have a black thumb, so plants would be lost to me

EML298's 2016 Spring Fool Switch Witch Help Questionnaire Addenda

Do you like colouring?
I like the idea of coloring, but I am not sure I'd actually DO the coloring. Maybe I would?

Can you list your wishlists please?
Mine are linked in my sig. They are not up to date. I'll work on that. I have an Amazon w/l under my real name.

If you like Lush, are there any UK-only things you're desperate to get?
I don't know of anything currently. However, I do not keep up with the LUSH Kitchen over there. If they've ever released anything in the Blue Skies or French Kiss scents (or if they ever do), then I need that. I also recognize I'd probably know if they had. This is more of a pipe dream comment than one based in reality. (But WHY haven't they made a French Kiss perfume??? OR Blue Skies? )

Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies?
I have seen some amazingly beautiful crocheted scarves, gloves, fingerless gloves, etc., that I would love! On the other hand, I have received (from my MIL) some more traditional/country-styled items that I am completely not compelled by. So, I guess I'd say YES - and assume it's likely the case that BPALista style is quite likely to coincide with my own. (Most of the pics I've seen of pieces I love are actually in the SW threads and on BPALista FB pages.)

Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc?
I don't have any actual medical allergies to these things. I say this because my doc told me people can't actually be allergic to cigarette/cigar smoke. So, whatever people CAN be to that stimulus, I am. (I *hate* it, and it makes my nose run/stuffs me up.)

Graphic novels:
I *want* to be into graphic novels. That said, I'm a huge Buffy fan, and have had a few of those waiting for me to read for a couple years, and they're yet to be cracked. This is an unclear answer only because I am unclear. The interest is there. It's the motivation that's questionable.

Nail Polish:
I go through phases where I keep my nails painted, and then don't do it for months. I recently purged the CND gel nail system/lamp/hoard I had due to nail damage (well, before my last move seven months ago). I have some new Zoyas, and am quite intrigued with the BPTP claw polishes, though I have yet to pick up any.

BPTP:
I say, yes, please! I am a huge fan. I have found that, although I purchase atmos, I just don't seem to use them. I am more of a candle or essential oil person. Otherwise, I think I use pretty much all the categories of Puddin's treats. Favorites have been Blueberry Peppermint bath oil, UGH massage oil, Patchouli Clove massage oil, Lick It! candle, but there are a ton of others I've enjoyed greatly.

Nail Wraps:
Probably not.

Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?
Yum! No rubs for meat other than fish, please. I need to educate myself about decaffeinated teas. I like fruity ones, I think, but know very little about them. I think I've covered tea in either the questionnaire and/or a prior blog entry (those are still up if you want to see my prior answers!). I have equipment for loose tea and also love bags!

In Regards to loose/bagged tea:
I got ahead of myself! Both are good. For a bit there (possibly with the last SW answers), I was leaning more towards bags. I have since procured a Manatea infuser, so given how cute he is, I would enjoy loose tea. (We also found our other infuser while KMing our home.) Bags are great, too.

Speaking of spices - where's your spicy/heat threshold? (scale of 1 - 10 - 1 being nothing more than black pepper, 10 being ghost pepper+)
Hmmmm...I think I'd be a 5, but Mr. EML298 says I'd be a 3.5-4. To clarify, I enjoy spice, to include a typical "medium" salsa. That said, at some ethnic restaurants (i.e. truly ethnic and not bastardized American versions), I have to take mild because their version of medium blows my mouth out. Does that make sense? Clear as mud, probably.

Preferred book format? Physical, PDF, Kindle, etc?
Great question. Given our recent KMimg (KonMari - Marie Kondo's tidying process), I'm not extremely keen on more physical possessions I'd likely use once. However, this isn't written in stone. Anyway, digital is probably better for me. I have an iPad, which reads ePub, PDF, etc. I can also grab the Kindle app for kindle formatting. I suppose I prefer digital.

<pasted in questions for following days to be answered>

Would you be interested in any handmade critters? Stuffed animals, knit or crochet beasties, or anything remotely similar? If so, please give an example or five
Sure! I like unicorns, octopus, elephants, BPTP-type beasties - are some called yip-yips?

Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Flowers (seeds, real, or handmade) prank-related items, a court jester's cap? Feel free to be creative and crazy with this one!
I'm obsessed with learning more about air plants. I got some stuff to make a terrarium but have no little plants and am unsure how to go about getting them.

Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet?
Sure!

Geek paraphernalia! Almost everyone here has SOME sort of geek-love, whether it is Harry potter, Horror movies, graphic novels, science, etc. So would you be interested in any kind of items related to your geek-ish interests?
I saw a little Groot dancing Popko (or something) figurine once that I know is geek-ish, but I am not even a fan of that geekhood! I think I take things item by item!

Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities?
Nope!

would you like pretty stationery/note cards, etc, for writing snail mail?
I wish I thought I'd actually write snail mail, but I don't seem to do it. I'm trying to get myself to be more organized with a paper planner, so stickers for that are somewhat intriguing, as well as some cute decorated paperclips I've seen people use for that purpose.

If you could have any BPALs right now (GC, LE, HTF) what would they be? Give examples of at least a few of each category
I still haven't really updated the BPAL w/l in a while. I don't know that I need that much.

Any places you would like gift cards from?
Amazon, LUSH, Torrid, and Target are places I shop fairly frequently. I also really enjoy Starbucks.

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences?
Occasionally - mostly Urban Decay, Too Faced, and some NYX.

Junk food and candy?
I like these things, unfortunately.

Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books?
Hmmm...probably not at this point.

Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)?
I can't think of anything specific, but if my witch found something s/he thought I could use, I'm open to that!

Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything?
Yes! Many are poisonous to cats, so I've had to edit. I'm now obsessed with getting into airplants that can be inside terrariums that my can cannot get into, thus removing the cat problem and allowing my love of plants to resume!

As of Thursday, March 3 8:30 PM

If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever) ?
Hmmm - this is hard! I don't mean to be indecisive, but all of these sound nice! Maybe something on a wall, if I have to pick? But, I don't feel very strongly in any direction.

Are you in need of BPAL storage?
Not really, but when I see cool options, I always think I'd like them! So, I could incorporate them! BPAL is the one area of my life I'm continuing to feel comfortable with collecting.

Hi, witchee! Do you like candles? Incense? Wax melts?
Love candles, but not paraffin wax. So, I use soy, beeswax, other types of wax, etc. I love the ideas of incense and melts, but find that I don't use them too much.

BAGS! Do you like/want/need any kind of bags? Purses (big, small, medium), storage type bags, totes, re-usable grocery bags, make up or craft supply bags . . . anything? And if so, please give as much info as possible about type, color, use, fabric, etc
I don't really *need* any more bags, but I would enjoy small bags for things like cosmetics in my purse, etc. Other than not being a huge fan of leather, I'm pretty open to fabrics (and ignorant about types). In terms of colors, this would probably be consistent with all my regular color preferences.

Here's a question. I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that?
I tend to be a pretty digital person these days.

If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family?
I do like HP, but haven't seen but the first movie. I don't know the answer to this question. I meant to get to GoT, but haven't yet.

What's your favorite animal/totem? Would you be interested in a small figurine of said animal from this etsy user?
Unicorn, elephant. Sure!

Anything exciting to you in PBSW's Spring Collection?
I haven't seen it, but I'm not opposed to my witch selecting something if s/he was so inclined.

Witchee, are you interested in this kind of music (it's one of my favorites)[Tartanic - uncivilized]?
I'm not very informed about this, but it is interesting.

Oh dead Witchee, how do you feel about Sakura Matsuri? Do you like Green Tea and Sakura flavored desserts/treats? Decorations or jewelry with a cherry blossom theme?
Not sure about this - maybe not a huge amount?

Hey, witchee! If I were to send you a garment, what size would I send?
I tend to be 24/3x in tops or 26/3-4x in pants.

3/4/16 Missed this question a few days ago:

What style of bag from here (if any) would you like? You can easily narrow down the choices on the side menu - but I only want to know the style, not the pattern!
The clutch looks cute - seems like something I could use for cosmetics and small tools in my purse.
http://eu.baba-store...bags-and-purses

It's Hottie Friday, witches and witchees! Name a famous crush or five
Hmmm... Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds; Mitch Pileggi/Skinner on X Files; Alyssa Milano's character on Charmed; Spike from Angel/Buffy

Also - what are the last 5 songs that appeared on your random or shuffle music list
Harold Budd, Lisa Gerrard, Brian Eno, Robert Rich are constantly on shuffle here.

If you like Lush, are there any UK-only things you're desperate to get?

I haven't tried much Lush. I would be open to it though!

Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies?

Yes! I love homemade stuff.

Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc?

Lilac scented stuff, cigarette smoke

Graphic novels:

I like them. I haven't read many beyond Sandman.

Nail Polish:

I don't use it much.

BPTP:

Yes, I don't use much bath oil but I like everything else.

Nail Wraps:

I've never tried them, but I have silly tiny finger nails so I'm not sure how well they would work.

Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?

Tea is always okay. I'm not a big fan of red or herbal tea. Spices and rubs sound fun. I do a lot of cooking.

In Regards to loose/bagged tea:

I prefer loose, but will drink either.

Speaking of spices - where's your spicy/heat threshold? (scale of 1 - 10 - 1 being nothing more than black pepper, 10 being ghost pepper+)

Like a 7. I like spicy, but I also have bad acid reflux so I try to not take things overboard.
Preferred book format? Physical, PDF, Kindle, etc?

I can use any format. I like physical books, but I also like using my Nook/ipad to read with as well.

Would you be interested in any handmade critters? Stuffed animals, knit or crochet beasties, or anything remotely similar? If so, please give an example or five

Corgis or turtles!

Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Flowers (seeds, real, or handmade) prank-related items, a court jester's cap? Feel free to be creative and crazy with this one!

We're moving into a brand new house in the suburbs. I've always been a country girl and I've never lived in the suburbs, but I really would still like to plant a small garden and some flowers. If you are a gardeny witch I would love tips on getting things started.

Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet?

Corgi kid is still young enough that she is a intense chewer. Toys for her would be great!
Geek paraphernalia! Almost everyone here has SOME sort of geek-love, whether it is Harry potter, Horror movies, graphic novels, science, etc. So would you be interested in any kind of items related to your geek-ish interests?

I'm a shameless Harry Potter lover. Hufflepuff!
Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities?

No

would you like pretty stationery/note cards, etc, for writing snail mail?

I love collecting this kind of stuff but I rarely get a chance to use it.

If you could have any BPALs right now (GC, LE, HTF) what would they be? Give examples of at least a few of each category

Any places you would like gift cards from?

Honestly, Target. I'm going to need a lot of stuff for the new house.

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences?

I don't wear make-up.

Junk food and candy?

Chocolate, Haribo gummy candies, pretzels

Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books?

I like Dr. Who, though I'm not nearly up to date on watching it. I have a major crush on 10.

Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)?

A microplane, more measuring cups (bonus points for fun colors!).

Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything?

I do like plants, but I haven't learned much about gardening. I want to plant tomatoes for my oldest this year.

As of Thursday, March 3 8:30 PM

If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever) ?

Wall would be great.

Are you in need of BPAL storage?

Always.
Hi, witchee! Do you like candles? Incense? Wax melts?

Candles can be iffy for me due to allergies. Soy candles seem to work best. No incense please.

BAGS! Do you like/want/need any kind of bags? Purses (big, small, medium), storage type bags, totes, re-usable grocery bags, make up or craft supply bags . . . anything? And if so, please give as much info as possible about type, color, use, fabric, etc

I don't really use bags much.

Here's a question. I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that?

Yes!

If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family?

Hufflepuff! I do not like Game of Thrones.

What's your favorite animal/totem? Would you be interested in a small figurine of said animal from this etsy user?

Corgis and turtles

Anything exciting to you in PBSW's Spring Collection?

I need to replenish my lotions big time. Crickhallow Cottage, Blackbird, Potting Shed in a Deluge

Witchee, are you interested in this kind of music (it's one of my favorites)[Tartanic - uncivilized]?

Oh dead Witchee, how do you feel about Sakura Matsuri? Do you like Green Tea and Sakura flavored desserts/treats? Decorations or jewelry with a cherry blossom theme?

Yes
Hey, witchee! If I were to send you a garment, what size would I send?

I'm a plus sized lady. 2 or 3 X depending on how the garment runs.

What style of bag from here (if any) would you like? You can easily narrow down the choices on the side menu - but I only want to know the style, not the pattern!   http://eu.baba-store...bags-and-purses   It's Hottie Friday, witches and witchees! Name a famous crush or five

Also - what are the last 5 songs that appeared on your random or shuffle music list.
Updated 3/7   If you should happen to be my witchee, are there any items in my store that you would like? Nut-Made by LisaNut   Oh Witchee, have you seen the kimono tops that are all the rage right now? Would you like one? I will sew you one if you do, just tell me if you're a fringe or lace edge or plain edge type of person- I have your color picks from your questionnaire, unless you'd like it in something different than those?
I was thinking about busting out the sculpy clay - I sometimes like to make cute little fantasy miniature sculpture, like fairy doors, or miniature garden gnomes for potted plants, or I've even made a couple of tiny smaug's based on this cartoon. If you were my witchee, how would you feel about receiving some tiny fantasy art for your home? Any preference between a fairy door, or a garden gnome, a tiny fairy box, or something like smaug?   If you won a gift certificate for $100 (Or similar amount in your country) that could be used ANYWHERE what would you get?   Something that you look forward to each spring, or that when you see it (hear it/smell it/taste it, etc) you think "Yes! Spring is here!" or something along those lines!

I always know that it isn't going to snow anymore when the magnolia trees start to bloom. I feel like I hold my breath every spring waiting for one more snow storm until I come across a magnolia in bloom.   Witchee, how do you feel about this type of garment? What color & size would you like? (keep in-mind it does say it runs one size big!)

Are there any mythical creatures that you're really into and that you would enjoy gifts relating to?

SW 16 Hooray!

Colouring? It was never my favorite activity when I was young, but I’m mildly amused by the adult coloring fad that’s going around. It could be a fun, low key hobby. I’d try it if you’re in to it, but don’t go out of your way.

Wishlists? My etsy favorites and pinterest boards are linked in my signature. If you’d like a more traditional wishlist, I can set up a pinterest board or an amazon list. If you want me to look at a specific store, I’m also happy to just list things that interest me in my SW blog.

Lush? Lush is how I initially found BPAL, but I stopped using them as my product tastes moved towards more natural things. I don’t shop there anymore, but there are things that I wouldn’t mind getting if you do. Specifically, I’m a sucker for bubble bars and I’m always on the lookout for solid products that I can use to avoid the whole 3-1-1 thing with TSA (e.g. Tooth Tabs and Shampoo Bars – never tried the tooth tabs; for hair stuff I liked Jungle, New, and Reincarnate. Looks like they may have a new dark hair one called Copperhead or some such). I’m not sure which things in particular are UK exclusives.

Crochet? I live in the deep south, so most crocheted items aren’t great for me because they don’t play well with our weather. If you crochet and have an idea for something you think I’d like and that would be appropriate for warm temps, I’m always thrilled with handmade stuff.

Allergies? I'm allergic to cigarette smoke.

Comics/Graphic Novels? I have two shelves of unreads, but I’d still be thrilled to get Transmet, Sandman, Love & Rockets, or something you find personally exciting. I am also a huge webcomic fan (I have 20 “daily reads” plus assorted others that I read when I’m bored). Queen of Wands, Something Positive, & Templar, AZ are/were faves.

Nail Polish? I am drowning in nail polish, so I’ll skip it unless it’s something awesome

Crafty? Hello, my name is Vanesa, and I am the anti-craft. My perfectionism and lack of hand eye coordination don’t lead to particular skillfulness in the craft department.

BPTP Products? Sure, but I tend to stick to decants because I never get through them all. Bath products, scrubs, atmo sprays, and hair glosses would all be cool. I once got a tissue tee as a gift that was very comfy. I’ve never tried their nail polish or jewelry, but I could be persuaded. Heh.

Nail Wraps? No thanks. More trouble than they’re worth for me.

Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?
I’m pretty overloaded on spices these days, so it would have to be something special. Tea would have to be ok for breastfeeding moms to drink (so many tea ingredients mess with supply L ). I can do loose or bagged. I love unusual ingredients of all sorts, so feel free to send specialty ingredients. Stuff for baking is usually good. I’m also trying to experiment with more whole grains (no rice or quinoa please). Local stuff is always a winner. Hmm, let’s see, related items: For other hot beverages, no coffee since I have access to insane amounts (my grandparents own a coffee farm). We drink a lot of hot chocolate. Anything in single serve packs is usually good.

Speaking of spices - where's your spicy/heat threshold? (scale of 1 - 10 - 1 being nothing more than black pepper, 10 being ghost pepper+) I can handle 8-10, but I’m really happier in the 5-7 realm. It’s important to me that it be spicy and flavorful. I really hate foods that substitute heat when the flavor is boring. Also, I hate spicy chocolate. I can’t handle anything that would transfer the heat to my fingers right now because it causes trouble when I’m breastfeeding (spicy nipple anyone?)

Preferred book format? Physical, PDF, Kindle, etc? I like physical books. I spend so much time in front of a screen that books are a necessary escape. I do read Meilin’s Intimate History, but that’s pretty much it for long-form fiction in an electronic format.

Handmade critters? Not really my bag, but it might be fun if you could make something baby safe for the kiddo. It would have to be something that could stand up to being chewed ‘cause he’s entering the stick everything in his mouth phase. He’s too young to have favorite animals or creatures, but he’s already been given a lot of fox, dinosaur, lion, hedgehog, and elephant themed items, so those critters would certainly fit in.

Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Not in to April Fool’s at all (I get serious vicarious embarrassment when watching other people get subjected to pranks. It’s super anxiety inducing). I do love spring because it means we’re one step closer to summer, which is my favorite season. I’m sort of a plant murderer, so seeds may not be a great idea. A plant that can stand up to some abuse would be fine. Cut flowers are always nice (no lilies, please, I’m allergic). What I could really use is solar powered string lights or garden lights (the kind that are just a light on a stake that sticks in the ground). Our new place doesn’t seem to have an outdoor plug.

Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet? Maybe. Toys wouldn’t be a good idea, but a consumable treat very early in the round would be fine. He’s not projected to be with us for much longer L

Geek paraphernalia! Hmm, this is a hard one. On the one hand, I’m totally geeky. On the other hand, I tend not to like the type of items that seem to be available to show geeky interests. I don’t like knick knacks, home décor wouldn’t be a good choice because most of our stuff is more formal, I don’t carry bags/purses, I don’t generally wear t-shirts that have things on them (although I have a BPAL shirt that was gifted that I love, so who knows), and geeky jewelry tends to be more cutesy than I generally go for. The best bet for geekiness would be kid’s stuff (e.g. clothes, toys, or science and computer programming baby books – they do exist!) or maybe practical geekery (I can always use durable cell phone charging cables, innovative methods for cleaning the computer, solar chargers for portable electronics, or emergency preparedness items). As far as geeky interests/fandoms, hubby and I are both into Star Trek, I read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy (my fav authors should be listed in one of these answers somewhere), and we’re both fans of nifty astronomy, women in STEM, and internet/computer themed stuff. Does Reading Rainbow count as geeky? I’d break my t-shirt rules for Reading Rainbow.

Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities? Nothing specific, but I do struggle with finding some yarn scratchy.

Pretty stationery/note cards Cards that I could use for swaps like this would be very useful. Pretty paper is gorgeous, but I never really have anything to do with it.

If you could have any BPALs right now (GC, LE, HTF) what would they be? To be honest, I’m sort of drowning in perfume. If you could find Needle in a Haystack, I’d be thrilled. Otherwise, there’s nothing I’m really dying for.

Any places you would like gift cards from? Amazon, PaintBox SoapWorks, Thriftbooks.com, Trader Joes, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Ureshii, local spas (Bumblelane or Paris Parker in Baton Rouge, Woodhouse or Lux in New Orleans), any stores that you think “wow, she’d love this!”

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences? I’ve never quite figured out how to use make up well.

Junk food and candy? It certainly won’t be wasted, but I just did a candy swap so it’s not something I’m hankering for.

Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books? Only one I can think of would be Myth Busters. We’ve got the 10th Anniversary Collection, but I’d love any of the other DVD collections.

Kitchen Stuff I’ve got a pretty well stocked kitchen, but there are some random items I’d enjoy if you happen to bump in to them: a nice pastry brush, a butter dish that would be ok in a hot climate, a 2+ cup anchor hocking measuring cup (one of the classic ones with the red numbers), one of those Alton Brown style plunger measuring cups, a nice apron that is fairly full coverage, and pretty/practical table linens (napkins, tablecloths, placemats, etc). Tiny juice glasses or a set of zombie glasses would also be winners at our house. Black, silver, grey, or blue are usually the best choices for kitchen stuff.

Garden/Plants I think I addressed this pretty well above. Unkillable, child/dog safe plants would be ok. I definitely need some solar powered lights. Mosquito killing/repelling items are also a pro for us.

If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever) ? Huh, hard question. I’d say something that I could wear or use would be best. I need throw pillows if that’s your skill set (grey, black, or red). That said, I’m all for paintings or other hangable art work if that’s what you do best. I love other people’s talents.

Are you in need of BPAL storage? Nope. I’ve got my BPAL storage sorted. Other types of attractive storage might be useful, though. I’ve been looking for pretty apothecary type jars for cotton balls and bath goodies in my bathroom (relatively short cause they have to fit on the shelf). I’m also looking for something attractive to hold non-refrigerated produce like onions, potatoes, and bananas.

Do you like candles? Incense? Wax melts? No thanks. I don’t use incense or wax melts, and I may be guilty of having an entire shelf of candles I haven’t used yet

BAGS! Do you like/want/need any kind of bags? I don’t use purses, and I’m pretty stocked up on totes. The only kind of bags I could really use are bags for travel. I’m dying for a weekender bag in canvas or leather if you happen to have one lying around (ha!) and little zip pouches or dopp kits could be useful. I tend to like the type of travel bags that you could imagine Don Draper using – classic, leather or dark canvas, tailored, masculine.

What style of bag from here (if any) would you like? You can easily narrow down the choices on the side menu - but I only want to know the style, not the pattern! Neat store, but see above. With that in mind, the clutches are probably the only thing that would see use.

Here's a question. I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that? Sure. I don’t have any immediate use for such a thing, but I do love handmade stuff.

If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family? Not my fandom. Sorry.

What's your favorite animal/totem? Would you be interested in a small figurine of said animal from this etsy user? Pretty stuff, but probably not for me.

Anything exciting to you in PBSW's Spring Collection? April Fool and Bramble & Apple both sound lovely. I like bath streusel and her sample size sorbettos.

Witchee, are you interested in this kind of music (it's one of my favorites)[Tartanic - uncivilized]? I do enjoy Tartanic. I’m a ren faire fan and my hubby’s ancestry is half Scottish, so we enjoy that sort of thing. If you’re familiar with a lot of ren faire musicians, we’re also big on Rambling Sailors.

Oh dear Witchee, how do you feel about Sakura Matsuri? Do you like Green Tea and Sakura flavored desserts/treats? Decorations or jewelry with a cherry blossom theme? Indifferent? It’s not something I’m excited by, but I also haven’t had much exposure

Hey, witchee! If I were to send you a garment, what size would I send?
Usually an 18/20, but I’m a petite plus size hour glass, so standard sizes can be funky. Happy to look at a size chart if you want me to

It's Hottie Friday, witches and witchees! Name a famous crush or five Oh gosh, this is something I always struggle with. Um, let’s see:
1. Gina Torres
2. George Clooney (didn’t like him before, but he’s aged well)
3. Idris Elba
4. Paul Newman
5. Angelina Jolie

Also - what are the last 5 songs that appeared on your random or shuffle music list.
I only stream during the day, so I’ll have to come back to this. I’m pretty eclectic, though.

If you should happen to be my witchee, are there any items in my store that you would like? Nut-Made by LisaNut Hmm, looks like most of them would really be suited to colder places than here, so probably not.

Oh Witchee, have you seen the kimono tops that are all the rage right now? Would you like one? I will sew you one if you do, just tell me if you're a fringe or lace edge or plain edge type of person- I have your color picks from your questionnaire, unless you'd like it in something different than those? Kimono and dolman sleeves are usually a no for me. I could probably pull it off as a robe, in which case lace would be nice but not necessary.

Smaug is pretty cute. A fairy door would probably be my second choice.

If you won a gift certificate for $100 (Or similar amount in your country) that could be used ANYWHERE what would you get? Massage and a pedicure.

Something that you look forward to each spring, or that when you see it (hear it/smell it/taste it, etc) you think "Yes! Spring is here!" or something along those lines! Mardi Gras. When I first moved to Louisiana it was one of my favorite things about the season. I lived in a neighborhood (the one we just moved back to actually) with a parade, so a few weeks before the parade people would start cleaning up their yards, decorating for the parade, and generally coming out of their winter cocoon. The neighborhood is one where people spend a lot of time on their porches, and it seems like the parade prep often marked the return to porch sitting.

Witchee, how do you feel about this type of garment? What color & size would you like? (keep in-mind it does say it runs one size big!) Huh, not my usual jam, but it looks super comfy. Based on the reviews, I think a large in black should work.

Are there any mythical creatures that you're really into and that you would enjoy gifts relating to? Hmm, not really. Although, I do have a random soft-spot for recipes based on fantasy novels, so if you have hobbit inspired food related stuff why not?

Returning to the music question I skipped, here are the last five songs played by the streaming radio station I listen to:
1. Chanson d'Acadie - Beausoleil
2. Love Me or Leave Me - Nina Simone
3. Extraordinary Machine - Fiona Apple
4. How Can You Mend a Broken Heart - Al Green
5. Life by the Drop - Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble

no, I'm more of a sketcher

Can you list your wishlists please?
down below! I sent my etsy one with the questionnaire

If you like Lush, are there any UK-only things you're desperate to get?
I'm not that familiar with lush, I'd love anything!

Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies?
hmmm, idk if this is knitting or crocheting but I have been wanting one of those jumbo yarn scarves. that's about it though

Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc?
nope! just sensitive to gluten, not allergic

Nail Polish! Do you have a specific brand you like? Do you like/want to try Indie brands? What colors of nail polish do you wear?
no please! I used to hoard it and now have tons I never use.

do you use BPTP products? If so, which do you like, not like, want to try? And if not, are you interested in trying some, and which ones (scents or item types or both) most appeal?
Yes! I have enough HG, but I would love some bath oil and atmos! For the bath oil anything rich like snake oil or RR (which I don't have) and pretty much anything for atmos (I don't have any)!

Nail Wraps??
Actually I would love to try some out

Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?
Yes! I'm open to anything! nothing spicy though

In Regards to loose/bagged tea:

Not really, my dog would end up stalking it and tearing it up

I can't think of anything! I don't like prank items because they get thrown away after one use, and although in my best life I plant seeds, in my current one I do not

Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet?
Yes! Edible things for a larger dog that a LONG LASTING would be amazing!

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences?
yes! I'm open to all brands, I'm SUPER into highlighters (like everyone else right now) but I'm VERY PALE so the color must be pretty light. I've been wanting some nice matte jewel-tone eyeshadows and fine color shift glitters. Those metallic liquid lipsticks from the LAsplash dia de los muertos collection have also caught my eye

Junk food and candy?
YES any and all

Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books?

Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)?
not that I can think of right now

Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything?
I know I'd neglect it, sorry!

medium purses, pretty much any fabric you'd see as a Urban Outfitters tapestry I'm down with

I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that?
I'd love a journal! I'm running out of space in my affirmations journal

What style of bag from here (if any) would you like? You can easily narrow down the choices on the side menu - but I only want to know the style, not the pattern!

SwitchWitch Spring 2016 Q&A!

Do you like colouring? Yes, but I don't really do it very often. I've got a mandala coloring book and a pack of colored pencils, so I'm probably set.

If you like Lush, are there any UK-only things you're desperate to get? I'm not sure what's UK-only, but I loooooove Lush. I'm a fiend for the Charity Pot fragrance and most of the bath bombs, bath melts, ets.

Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies? Absolutely yes! I'm down for anything, especially bags.

Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc? Nope.

Graphic novels: I'm not really familiar with any in particular.

Nail Polish? I have an enormous collection back home in NC. None here in CT.

Crafty? Very. Mostly all about the painting right now; I do also like free-hand embroidery.

BPTP Products? I have not tried any.

Nail Wraps? No thank you. They don't seem to work with my fingernail shape, really.

Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?
Yes. 100% yes. Especially if there's a good ginger tea. I'm digging ginger teas lately.

In Regards to loose/bagged tea:
I have means of doing loose tea, though I would actually really love to get more of those cheesecloth sachet bag things. I'm almost out of my disposable teabags.

Would you be interested in any handmade critters? Stuffed animals, knit or crochet beasties, or anything remotely similar? If so, please give an example or five: sure! I got a little crocheted goose a few years ago that I love dearly. Any bird-related critters are great. Others would be like...a seal. I like seals.

Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Flowers (seeds, real, or handmade) prank-related items, a court jester's cap? Feel free to be creative and crazy with this one! I love the idea of flowers. I've been obsessing over flower headbands and crowns lately. I want to swoosh and dance my way through spring.

Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet? I don't have any pets here.

Geek paraphernalia! Almost everyone here has SOME sort of geek-love, whether it is Harry potter, Horror movies, graphic novels, science, etc. So would you be interested in any kind of items related to your geek-ish interests? Of course.

Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities? Pure wool seems to make me itch a bit. Wool blends are fine.

would you like pretty stationery/note cards, etc, for writing snail mail? Oh yessssss. Pay no mind to my overflowing box of the stuff. A girl is allowed to collect, damn it.

If you could have any BPALs right now (GC, LE, HTF) what would they be? Give examples of at least a few of each category: Titania, Alice, Snake Oil. I can't think of any LEs I'm really craving. HTF--Chaste Moon '05. Always Chaste Moon.

Any places you would like gift cards from? Torrid, Ulta, Amazon, any magical/witchy stores would be great. Not necessary at all, mind you.

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences? I do! I am actually looking for new eyeshadow since a lot of mine...broke? Traveling is hard. I like a lot of shimmery stuff, mostly purples/bronzes/golds, but also greens. I don't wear a ton of blue because I can never seem to pull it off unless it's like a bold turquoise. No major brand loyalty except to certain Urban Decay products.

Junk food and candy? Yes.

Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books? Ehhh...no thank you on DVDs and fan books. I just don't have a lot of room for them.

Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)? You know, I could do with some shot glasses and a good Nikki-flavored coffee mug. Preferably one that doesn't break easily.

Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything? Housemate and I spent like 4 hours discussing gardening plans the other night. We've got some boxes outside our cabin and are planning some guerrilla gardening elsewhere on our site. By all means, dear Witch. By all means.

If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever) ?

I would need more information on what kind of interests you're targeting.
Are you in need of BPAL storage?

Kind of, but I don't actually have any of my BPAL with me right now. I had no room in my luggage.

Hi, witchee! Do you like candles? Incense? Wax melts?

Oh my Lord, yes. I generally don't burn candles in the house except on my altar, but I have this adorable owl tart warmer that the housemates also love and we always have a tart burning in that. Actually, we're currently really running low on tarty goodness, so if you see any you think I'd like, go for it! I just ask...please, nothing that smells like baked goods. I live with humans who will get grumpy if they're tricked by fakery scents.
BAGS! Do you like/want/need any kind of bags? Purses (big, small, medium), storage type bags, totes, re-usable grocery bags, make up or craft supply bags . . . anything? And if so, please give as much info as possible about type, color, use, fabric, etc.

You have no idea how much I love bags. I generally prefer cross-body style bags and tote bags, but look, bags are great no matter what species they are. As far as specifics...I like bright colors, funky patterns, generally prefer fabric over leather (I'm not opposed to leather, I'm just more attracted to funky, brightly-colored bags than like, respectable adult purses made from leather). My current purse is this deep eggplant purple cross-body hobo bag with an embroidered tree of life on it that I got at the Greater Good store in Minneapolis-St. Paul...Jesus, I sound like a goddamn hippie right now, don't I? (I am.)
Here's a question. I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that?
OMG YES PLEASE. I really love journalling about my work with kids and basically doing a hybrid between a scrapbook and a diary. I'd prefer a smaller book--I had a full 8x11 journal last season and it was uncomfortably large. Like those journals that are, what, 6x8? That's a perfect size. Oh man.
If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family?
Ravenclaw, and according to the Buzzfeed post, I'm House Arryn, and Buzzfeed says "You’re out of your damn mind, but no one wants to be the one to tell you. Sorry." Was it because I chose "COME AT ME BRO" as my motto? Or was it the falcon? Look, I just like birds, okay?
What's your favorite animal/totem? Would you be interested in a small figurine of said animal from this etsy user?
I am a goose. And those figurines are truly beautiful.
Anything exciting to you in PBSW's Spring Collection?
Why, yes, yes it does. The Afternoons and Eiderdowns sounds lovely, as does April Fool, Crickhollow Cottage, Sky Blue Sky. Really, anything. I have no PBSW products these days. I used all my Sweetcheeks stuff and then forgot to buy more?
Witchee, are you interested in this kind of music (it's one of my favorites)[Tartanic - uncivilized]?
Um, YES.
Oh dead Witchee, how do you feel about Sakura Matsuri? Do you like Green Tea and Sakura flavored desserts/treats? Decorations or jewelry with a cherry blossom theme?
I think cherry blossoms are lovely. I also like green tea.
Hey, witchee! If I were to send you a garment, what size would I send?
Depends on the garment.

What style of bag from here (if any) would you like? You can easily narrow down the choices on the side menu - but I only want to know the style, not the pattern!

OH MY GOD I WANT ALL OF THEM
a messenger bag or tote bag. But I'd also take smaller bags. I just. I love the artists there--I actually own the Fairytale Tarot, although it's currently MIA.

Questions from 25 Feb 2016:
Colouring? So confession time. I coloured *a lot* when I was in college (far more years ago than I want to consider), for the same reason it's become more visible now: stress relief. That said, I don't do it so much anymore these days. No books, no crayons. Too many other things to do!

Wishlists? Check out my signature - there's a Switch Witch (and many other) blog posts that should help you out. And I promise, I will update with the answers that were blank. I kinda sneaked in at the last minute.

Lush? There are a few shampoos I like, but everything pretty much smells the same to me. Let me see ... Big Shampoo. I'd like to try out the Fairly Traded Honey shampoo, and specifically from the UK? Jersey Bounce (holy heck, why do we not have this in the US?)

Crochet? Sure! Hats & scarves, although it's too warm to wear anything

Allergies? I listed them in my questionnaire, but I don't think I listed this one: I'm allergic to cigarette smoke.

Comics/Graphic Novels? I wish I could show you my bookshelf of "to read" books, because it's mostly graphic novels I think I have a link to my Goodreads bookshelves, so check that out to see what I already have, and I have a separate list on Amazon just for graphic novels.

Nail Polish? I'm tempted to buy the ... um ... Bright Red Dildo polish from BPTP, but that's the only one I've considered of late; I really don't do anything with my nails, so polish really wouldn't get used.

Crafty? I take pictures, and I occasionally make jewelry - simple jewelry, but still jewelry.

BPTP Products? Perfume oils, hair gloss & soap. I don't use Atmos & I can't use the bath oils (skin allergy - I break out)

Nail Wraps: I won't use them, sorry.

They are indoor, and I have managed to keep them alive for quite a while which is a big deal to me. lol so, bring on the green things!

If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever) ? I would like something that hangs on a wall. I would love the other two too, but right now, some of the walls in my house are a little bare. So to fill up some of that space would be awesome

Are you in need of BPAL storage? I do not need anything for storage at this time, but thank you.

Do you like candles? Incense? Wax melts? I would happily accept any of these!

What style of bag from here (if any) would you like? You can easily narrow down the choices on the side menu - but I only want to know the style, not the pattern! if I had to pick from that site, I would go with their small messemger bags

If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family? I am a Ravenclaw! and I do adore Potter themed stuffs. I haven't watched game of thrones (GASP!), so I don't know where I would fit in with that.

BAGS! Do you like/want/need any kind of bags? I love all kinds of bags, right now I am trying to search out the perfect summer/beach bag for a trip I am going on in May.

Here's a question. I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that? I think that anything handmade like that would be lovely. They are alot of time and work and truly end up being a work of art, and I appreciate all that the artist puts into them.

What's your favorite animal/totem? Would you be interested in a small figurine of said animal from this etsy user? The foxes are amazing but if my Witch spent that kind of money I would have a heart attack!!

Anything exciting to you in PBSW's Spring Collection? I think the Crickhollow and Bramble & Apple sound good

Witchee, are you interested in this kind of music (it's one of my favorites)? of course, since I asked the question

Top 5 hotties in no particular order:
1. Hugh Jackman
2. Ewan Mcgregor
3. David Tenant
4. Jude Law
5. Henry Cavill
6. Alan Rickman
7. Tom Hiddleston
8. Benny Cumberbatch
9. Justin Timberlake
10. Chris Pratt

Oh, was it just 5, you say? My bad.. How do you pick just five?

first 5 songs on my playlist
1. Never Quit Lovin' You - Jill Barber
2. The Greatest View - Silverchair
3. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived - Weezer
4. Vermillion, pt 2 - Slipknot
5. Build me up buttercup - The Foundations

A fairy door would be so nice   If you won a gift certificate for $100 (Or similar amount in your country) that could be used ANYWHERE what would you get? tricky! I think I would buy fabric though since I have had an itch to sew lately, although some nice yarn would be a good use for it too.   Something that you look forward to each spring, or that when you see it (hear it/smell it/taste it, etc) you think "Yes! Spring is here!" or something along those lines! For me it's that earthy smell that happens when the snow melts and everything under it has begun to compost itself and everything just smells... wawrmer. ( I know you can't actually smell "warmer" but in my head this is what I smell. Warmer. lol

Switch Witch Spring 2016 - Help Post

2.29.16

Etsy Favorites: https://www.etsy.com/people/Izile/favorites?ref=si_fav (I'm making a Switch Witch board, which is especially less expensive items, feel free to look at the main board as an idea of my style, but didn't want to make it look like I was expecting anyone to spend that kind of money on me!! 0.o nope nope!) - needs a lil more work

Pinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/izile/ - progress...

Amazon Wishlist - http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/7KANCDM0KO7J/ref=cm_wl_sortbar_o_page_1 - updated

Sockdreams wishlist - http://www.sockdreams.com/_users/wishlists/edc0bc670665758 - updated

BPAL Website wishlist: best to work with my forum one. http://www.bpal.org/topic/127-wishlist/page-61?p=1239783&do=findComment&comment=1239783 - updated

I'll be updating all these wishlist soon - they all need it!!

Do you like colouring? I've been really curious, but haven't bought a book yet - when I was really sick and couldn't leave the house for so long earlier this winter, but was starting to feel good enough to not be in bed all the time, I took to printing out coloring pages, and I really enjoyed it. So if there were some small books with those really detailed intricate designs like I see, that would be cool. I don't need pencils, though, I've got a 120 prismacolor pencil set - so I'm good. (though maybe a nice pencil sharpener could be handy if you go this way)

If you like Lush, are there any UK-only things you're desperate to get? I'm not that familiar with what's UK only, I'm a rather casual Lush user - but looking at the UK website and seeing what doesn't look familiar: Ladybird Bubble Bar, Dreamtime Bath Oil, Milky Bath, Lover Lamp Bomb, Frozen Bomb, Coconut Scrubby Roulade, Cherry on Top scrub bar, curious about the "showders" don't think we have those in the US??

Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies? I do not do this craft myself, but I appreciate this craft, and like things like arm warmers, and leg warmers and cute things like that.

Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc? Dear Witch, please check ingredients carefully! I cannot have carrageenan (the worst of the worst) or guar gum, I try and avoid anything with tara gum, locust bean gum, or any of the others, just because there are sooo many and I haven't had the chance/inclination to individually test each and every one to see if they hurt my guts or not. Gelatin is totally OK. I'm also allergic to cigarette smoke, but that's never come up before - just don't send me anything that came from a smoking home and we should be fine.

Graphic novels: love! Lil picky - don't know if any are currently on my Amazon wishlist. Just read Sandman Overture, but also enjoyed Maus and Pretty Deadly, and others...

Nail Polish? I've been teeter-tottering between 3 different pink nail polishes from BPTP, but am waiting on swatches... I seem to have a lot right now, I've been buying more than usual... but no specific brands.

Crafty? Used to make jewelry, in theory I still would, just time... I also like sculpy, but same time issue, same with painting/drawing or making just about anything else... (miss it!)
BPTP Products? I do like them, have a whole section about BPTP in my BPAL wishlist (sig) - I am also a huge fan of samples, so 1oz samples are frequently perfect for me.

Nail Wraps?? I just got into them in January, and it took me a few tries to get them to last more than 3-4 days - but now that I've figured it out and gotten the right top coat, I'm really interested - especially in Espionage Cosmetics nail wraps - I totally lust after the discontinued last unicorn ones, especially the ones where the unicorns are all coming out of the sea on the crest of the waves - but I'm not expecting my Witch to be a miracle worker - the perfectly normally priced in-stock tentacles, or baker street, or mermaid scales, or sheet music, or most ardently - any of those would be amazeballs awesome!

Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?
I'm becoming a bit of a tea fiend, even blend my own through adagio sometimes. - As for loose vs. bags - I mostly keep loose, though I do occasionally use bags for convenience, especially if it's at home and not at work. As for spice blends, I get so overwhelmed in those shops - I want EVERYTHING. I've got a fairly good basic spice pantry, but there's always these custom blends unique to each shop which are always so tempting... just, easy on the heat - I'm a mild/low-tolerance person when it comes to heat!

Speaking of spices - where's your spicy/heat threshold? (scale of 1 - 10 - 1 being nothing more than black pepper, 10 being ghost pepper+)
I'm about 2-ish.

Preferred book format? Physical, PDF, Kindle, etc? normally physical, but there are some books I'd take as Kindle.
Would you be interested in any handmade critters? Stuffed animals, knit or crochet beasties, or anything remotely similar? If so, please give an example or five - like amigarumi stuff? I've seen a rare couple that I thought were neat, but I can't think of them, and mostly the answer is no.

Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Flowers (seeds, real, or handmade) prank-related items, a court jester's cap? Feel free to be creative and crazy with this one! no so much april fools, but I'm getting psyched for garden stuff.

Geek paraphernalia! Almost everyone here has SOME sort of geek-love, whether it is Harry potter, Horror movies, graphic novels, science, etc. So would you be interested in any kind of items related to your geek-ish interests? I have a few nerdy interests, but few geek-out fixations. Science-y stuff probably tops the list. Though things like the lab set bar ware take up an awful lot of space - but stuff like that, or periodic table themes or like that artist who spells things in molecules
.
Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities? I remember having some cheap jewelry as a kid that turned me green, but nothing since, otherwise, no sensitivities, though I do try and avoid poly/rayon/synthetics as much as possible.

Any places you would like gift cards from? Amazon is always useful, or etsy, or sephora - all good! (oh, and Home Depot, for the garden stuff - see below)

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences? I do, I don't have any particular brand loyalty - right now I'm using E.L.F. CC cream for my daily foundation, and I have Kat Von D's foundation for special occasions or all-day events with lots of photography like cons and such. I'm super pale, but also very pink, which makes finding the right skin-tone a PitA - it's like they don't think people can be really pale without being really yellow - I am not yellow-tone, my skin is transparent and I am full of blood, therefore, pink. I am an absolute lippie fiend. I have 5 Lipstick Queen lipsticks (probably close as a "favorite brand" as I get - and all over the place, Medieval, Ice Queen, Hello Sailor, Saint Red, Saint Wine), and am always grabbing a new tinted lip balm or new lipstick or lip liner - coral/orange/beige/browns are the only colors I steer far far away from in lippie-land. I'm working on eye-makeup, have several stacks of estee international's pure mica mineral powders, and a few pencils, eyeliners and mini-mascaras - but would be very interested in fun colors. I like to play!

Junk food and candy? no thank you - it's just not my thing. It's taken me over a year to get through last year's Christmas candy. Nice dark chocolate bars are fun, and homemade treats are nice, but I'm just never drawn to candy - if anything, my one occasional junk food splurge is chips, like cheetos and doritos - terrible stuff, I know, and don't even eat them every year, but that's also because I can eat an entire large bag in one sitting if I do give in - hurk...
Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books? probably not.

Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)? The state of my oven mitts is a disgrace, seriously. I'm always up for fun kitchen stuff, though I just don't have a lot of space for gizmos and gadgets. Tiiiiiiiny NYC kitchen (I've seen boat gallies bigger). I'd like nicer hand towels, but it's also pointless, because my sister takes every single one I hang on the oven and moves it over to the couch to use as a napkin - seriously, I have hung 3 new kitchen towels on the oven door, and all 3 will be stuffed into the couch like a squirrel put them there by the end of the day - ALL THREE - it's insane, and she just won't stop. *sighs* - so, skip that. That's also how I feel about nice tea cups and good china - I would LOVE to have some nice plates or cute English tea cups - but they will be destroyed, if not by Shiva (sister), then by 1984 (clueless bro-dude, time-stuck roommate). I spend so much time wandering through the aisles of Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Fish's Eddy, Whisk... and just look at all the things I'd love to have but know my roommates will absolutely destroy. (some things I've started hording in my room - but then they never get used - and what's the point if they're just going to sit in a box on a shelf or under my bed? - this is obviously a big point of serious angst, dear witch, and I apologize for the novel here, but I do want you to understand.

Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything?
(I've marked some gardening books on amazon, and one of those hanging pouch planter things, was looking through etsy for cute things, and in the aforementioned gift card question, Home Depot would also be an option)

If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever)?
Probably wall hanging, though I'm running out of wall space, honestly, but my shelves are also getting crowded... what is a thing that could sit on a couch? like a pillow? Living room is pretty set for those...

Are you in need of BPAL storage? Not raw boxes, but I've been wanting some kind of imp-holding lattice thing to go in a box - like the ammo shell cases whatever that people talk about.

Do you like candles? Incense? Wax melts? candles, yes, but I'm pretty good on candles right now.

BAGS! Do you like/want/need any kind of bags? I'm getting to a point where I need to start thinking about a couple of needs in this department.. yes...

What style of bag from here (if any) would you like? You can easily narrow down the choices on the side menu - but I only want to know the style, not the pattern!
not really into any of the shapes they showed, they all seem very flat/square - which I get is good to show off the patterns, but normally not the shapes I go for in bags. I prefer things that have long straps that can either go over a shoulder like a backpack or a cross-body sling - I don't want to have to hold anything in my hand all the time. And my wallet/keys is a freakin' brick, so it doesn't tend to fit in slim-line or envelope style purses; so I normally go for mini-backpack style purses, or might go for what pinterest is calling a "bucket" style... (speaking of, Witch, just in case, I should try and updated my Pinterest "Crave" board to try and give visual aids, just in case)

Here's a question. I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that? Yes!

If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family?
I'm a mild Potter fan - but enough so that I know I'm a Ravenclaw and think some Ravenclaw stuff might be cute! I'm much more into GoT and I am totally Dornish! Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken, baby!

What's your favorite animal/totem? Would you be interested in a small figurine of said animal from this etsy user?
Favorite animal is a horse, though unicorn/pegasus/dragon are also huge if we include fantasy animals. Totem is a ladybug, and I have an undefined connection to foxes. and yes, I think that etsy seller's creatures are adorable!!

Anything exciting to you in PBSW's Spring Collection?
Oh yes! I have plenty of bar soap, but I am getting low on lotions, and especially sample sizes of things, like sugar scrubs, are always welcome! The Sky Blue Sky sounds interesting, Bramble and Apple sounds really good!, and so does the April Fools one, too!

If you won a gift certificate for $100 (Or similar amount in your country) that could be used ANYWHERE what would you get? Oh, hard to say - right now, I might want to go on a spending spree at Home Depot to get all the things for the garden! I'm kind of fixated right now, and $100 could go a long way towards cement blocks, potting soil, fertilizers and some new hanging baskets and such...

Something that you look forward to each spring, or that when you see it (hear it/smell it/taste it, etc) you think "Yes! Spring is here!" or something along those lines! The first day I don't need to wear thermal underwear? LOL. Back home it was always Mom's row of daffodils popping up - lilac trees are a bit more common up here, them and the cherry blossoms - yeah, the first flowering trees in spring just make everything "spring-y" to me.

Witchee, how do you feel about this type of garment? What color & size would you like? (keep in-mind it does say it runs one size big!) no thank you.

Are there any mythical creatures that you're really into and that you would enjoy gifts relating to? All of them! No really, I'm obsessed with all types of mythology, have been since I was a kid. Unicorns are a favorite, followed quickly by dragons, and then fairies - I self-identify as "elfy" so while I like elven/elvish-items, I'm not much on statuary or art of elves themselves, and fairies/mermaids are about on the same footing - mer-other-things (like hypocampus or seahorses/seadragons, probably trump mermaids a bit), but I also have a special place for phoenixes of all cultures, (not as much on Asian unicorns/dragons, prefer western - but for phoenix it doesn't matter)

Do you have a green thumb, my Witchee? Would you be interested in bulbs, seeds or other gardening paraphernalia? Do you have a favorite flower?   Somewhat? My thumb is green compared to most people I know in my generation, but nothing like the thumbs of my mother, or her friends. I am interested in garden stuff! And dear Witch, and can get *explicit* with details about my garden if you need to know specifics! I haven't done bulbs before, not sure how well they'd I mostly grow vegetables and herbs, things that have kitchen uses, though I would be interested in any small annual flowers that have pest-repellent properties (I usually plant low marigolds), but if there are other things like that, I'd love that! I don't get a lot of full-sun space, though, so that's something to keep in mind. Gardening paraphenalia - yes! I have a soil tester that tests for moisture and pH, but I'd love a soil tester or a kit to test other factors - I'm pretty sure my soil needs some serious nitrogen fixing at this point. Also, would love some beneficial insects, ladybugs bugger off pretty quickly, and obviously it's too early for aphids here, but have been thinking about a mantis pod! Would love predatory mites (after having spider mite problems), but they tend to be expensive. Some pretty little yard art could also be cute! Oh, and there's those clay pots they're doing now where you fill them with water and bury them, and they leech water slowly into the soil? Been curious about those, especially if I'm building above-ground beds... and also been interested in those hanging planter things, they look like shoe organizers like you hang on a door, but you hang them on a wall outside and they have little pockets for strawberries or lettuces... and my favorite flower is probably a rose - can't really grow them in my yard, I tried a mini once, it only lasted two years... :-( - I also love lilacs, and they do well up here, but again, I don't have the space - I have thought about foxglove now and again, I do love them, they tolerate shade OK, and they're only biannuals.   Dear witch, seriously, could go on forever.

(Things from 2015 Blog that have NOT Changed)

Pumpkin: I don't like pumpkin or pumpkin-spice flavored/scented things, but I like things made with real pumpkin, like pumpkin bread! (YUM) - Oddly, I liked the pumpkin stuff in Japan, not pumpkin-spice, more like pumpkin-custard.
Alcohol: YES!! But I am a little picky in each area. I am the office lush, I am a big cocktail fan (of GOOD cocktails), my sister works for a local distillery and has her WSET-4 certificate. I love wine, beer, ciders, meads, spirits - LOVE ALL the big categories!

Wine: I prefer whites and roses over most reds, don't like heavy tanins, and do not like chardonnay! California wine is probably my least favorite area - like South American, and of course, French/Italian/Spanish. I don't tend to like sweet wine unless it's a dessert wine.

Beer: Would love to try homemade beer! I'm not a huge hop fan, don't do IPAs, but I love hefeweissens, porters, stouts, dubbles, triples, quads, barley wines, sours, lambics, and almost everything else! Just nothing tooo hoppy

Cider: LOVE ciders! I especially like dry sparkling ciders like the Foggy Ridge Serious Cider, lots of great ciders around NY! However, I am not a fan of ciders like Angry Orchard, Ace, and the overly sweet low ABV ones.

Mead: I get a little obsessive, even driving out of state to go on mead hunts, to host mead tasting parties (and write mead reviews on my blog sometimes) - again, I prefer the drier more complex modern meads, not so much the sticky sweet ren faire meads (I detest Carrol's and Chaucer's - so far I think HoneyMaker is my favorite meadery, but they're out of Maine and hard to track down sometimes! - but always looking for new ones!)

Spirits: sis works for a local craft distillery, and has really taught me a lot about the craft spirits movement, so I really get excited by new local spirits I've never heard of before, or don't get sold in my area. Vodka is my least favorite spirits, with Bourbon being my most favorite. I also love local cordials and liqueurs, and have a little obsession with running around trying to find good fruit eau de vie.

Sense of humor: weird? dry? british? lil dark? I'm not a fan of puns, but clever word play can be cute. My favorite comedians are Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard... see, british... I like wacky (Monty Python) and somewhat surreal sometimes (Mighty Boosh), but it can go too far (Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy Hour).

Board Games: I do love games, but don't always have enough folks to play with. Currently most folks seem obsessed with the sith's bigger blacker box of Cards Against Humanity, and the new Exploding Kittens game. Wise & Otherwise is one of my favorite board games I never get to play (really need 5+ people to make it really fun! It's in the Balderdash family)

Is there anything that you specifically do NOT want to receive? Gloves, with my Reynaud's I have to have very particular gloves. Also bar soap - I can only use bar soap as hand soap, it's very harsh/drying on my skin.

Plain or fun socks? Fun socks! I have an extensive Sockdreams collection and wishlist - so I'm not hurting for socks in any way, but I'm kinda hooked on fun new socks.

Name one (or as many as you would like) thing you would like to learn more about?
I'm interested in learning more about all sorts of new things, DIY books, like silver clay books, is something I've always wanted to play with, but never took the leap. Or a better guide to polymer clay sculpting, or with resins.... I also love general sciencey lay-person books like "Stuff Matters" (great read) and Michio Kaku's just about everything (halfway through his brain book) loved Dr. Oliver Sach's Musicophila book, and I am fascinated by neuroscience. I'm also always up for learning more about stuff I've got a good foundation in, like specialty cookbooks, or gardening books (lots of this is on my Amazon wish list, though).

What one thing would you like to do more of?
I miss arting and crafting as much as I used to before the full-time day job.

What are some things that fascinate you? Or, What would you like to know more about? - I'm really all over the place, right now I'm fascinated by tiny houses, space saving tricks, and also doing a lot of reading on agricultural history and heirloom varietals

Would you like any cookie butter (just to be clear, store-bought, not home-made, and does contain wheat since it's, y'know, cookie butter)? No thank you, not my thing.

Is there any particular piece (or pieces) of art (painting, photograph, etc) that speaks to you in some way? I have a lot of aesthetic feels. I love Stephanie Pui-Mu Law (have her tarot deck, and some art), but classically I like impressionism and romanticism, but I can also get sucked in by modern art or the old masters. I also love really bizarre things, like Edward Gorey, S. Fischer Williams, etc.

Keep Putting Off: Sometimes buying small things in NYC is a pain in the butt, because you have to go to a specialty shop for anything, almost. I have a UtopiaArmory chainmail bikini top, and I somehow lost one of the black grosgrain ribbons that ties it together in the back (about an inch wide) - and I know it's a simple thing, but I just never get around to going and getting a new ribbon for my bikini top. Also, just got a new corset, and it's laces are basically just super long shoe laces, would love something nicer, like a black satin ribbon, strong enough for coresting, maybe 1/2" to 1" wide, and it doesn't have to be super crazy long because it's only a little cincher, but obviously long enough, and I do own scissors, so I can cut ribbon down) - but things like this, I never go to the fabric district, and they're such small things... ugh! That'd be great if my witch lives in a place with a Jo-Ann's or a Hancock Fabric, and could just run in and buy me a couple of yards or good ribbon.

Handmade vs store-bought: for me it really depends on the thing. Though I'd rather have homemade edibles than store-bought; but I don't know anyone who can make cool thigh-hi tights, or who makes their own tea bags - so things like that, obviously store-bought is perfectly OK.

Other Companies: for perfume oils, I'm pretty much just BPAL, though I do like my bottle of CB: I Hate Perfume, Just Breathe. Their stuff is pretty distinctive, and no itching/sneezing. I do love the gloss sprays and sugar scrubs and lip balms from Haunt, and I've only had a lip balm from Haus of Gloi, but it was great! Miss that one (used it alll up!) It seems a lot of my other favorite indie bath/body companies have shut down (Sideshow Soaps went to grad school, Latherati never got back up and running) - oh, and I am very curious about Villainess stuff, since I've liked what I've tried through BPTP, but I've only tried their BPTP stuff.. so.. unsure.

Digital/Analog: Both. I mean, I circle around the steampunk theme, though I don't belong to any groups, so I like that aesthetic and old stuff like that. However, I also have a zune for my mp3s, and I do like some podcasts, and would like to listen to more, have a kindle app on my ASUS tablet - though I tend to prefer paper books, some books are better as digital, especially if they're going to be train reading (or if they only come in digital download with no paper version available).

Kitchen Wants/Needs: I have a tiny kitchen so I don't have room for all the things I'd love to have. There's not a bare wall, or a place to even hang anything (very sad face), and also almost nil counter space (super duper sad face). And I think I've got a pretty comprehensive spice cabinet already.

Affinity for specific animals: lots of them, I have a ladybug totem, I have a very touching story about my grandmother that connects me to goldfinches, I have always been a horse-obsessed girl, and thus also unicorns and pegasi (to a slightly lesser extent) but fantasy also takes me into dragons, love love dragons, too - though in all these things, I tend not to like silly/cutesy/cartoony versions. (the last unicorn cartoon is a rare exception to the that, but so pretty!!) - I also have an inexplicable draw towards foxes, and I love cats. And phoenixes, forgot to mention phoenixes - bit of a personal symbol.

Scary Movie: I like the occasional scary movie when I'm in the mood, but it's nothing I get fan-girlish about, or can even really remember. If you count them, I guess the Evil Dead movies would be favorites, because they're one of the few movies I can watch repeatedly. I did really enjoy Crimson Peak - though it's not traditional horror, that's more my style of "horror" than say, Nightmare on Elmstreet.

Blu-Ray or DVD: DVD, would have to go to the sith's house to watch a blu-ray

Game Systems: we have a Wii (classic, not updated), and sis uses it mostly - me, rarely. Sith has an Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but both live with him and I barely ever touch them.

Talk to me about bags, what kinds do you like? Sizes and styles?
I'm also picky about purses. Half the time, I run around with an old beaten up black leather backpack that can and has take a beating. The other times are mostly split between two purses, one is a black leather mini backpack with lots of pockets, though the lining is shredding all through it, so it might not be long for this world ( :-( - ), it's a good daily purse, plain, external and internal pockets, big enough to hold my brick of a wallet and keys, and my tablet fits in it, except it peeks out the top a bit. I also have a dark red leather mini-backpack (a bit flatter where the black one is a proper satchel, just in miniature), but I don't use it that much, I do love it, just holds less than the black one, so I've been beating the hell out of it, instead of the red one. Oh, and an olive green mini backpack (I sense a theme) with brown leather straps that tends to be my con bag - it's really mini, holds my wallet and small things, but tablet won't fit, doesn't have many pockets, and just doesn't have much volume (I can fit amazing amounts of stuff in old blackie, as I have suddenly named it. Tablet, no problem. Bottle of wine? watch this! I'm going to miss it when it dies. . . . otherwise, I have a tiny vintage (40s?) beaded velvet hand clutch from the sith's Mom I've never used (my keys don't even fit), and a silvery-grey eel skin vintage envelope purse from my Mom (close as I have to a "nice" purse) - I think, sometimes, I should get a small, cute purse that would look nicer for nights out than just dragging old blackie everywhere, no matter how rough it's starting to look.

Fandoms: I have many fandoms, but I'm not especially fannish - I don't really collect much from any of my fandoms - I have a couple of pieces of Dark Tower art I love, and a small shelf dedicated to a tiny delegation of plastic ponies that represent the horde that lives at my parents house (3 breyers, 3 G1 MLP, 1 MLP FiM mini set + 1 found loosie + 1 gifted tiny sparkling Rarity ('cause she's my pony if I have to go FiM, though I honestly prefer G1) and 5 tokidoki unicorns. - I really should make a TokiDoki list or something, there are a couple I would LOVE to have, but not so much that I'll risk that many blind boxes, or pay the ebay prices. (mostly: I always wanted Fumo (to represent my sith), Sakura, Bambu, or Choccinella). Tchotchkies in general, smaller is better, and maybe some should live at the office with me... I do also have Welcome to Nightvale stuff, but I think I have everything I want that they make (girl scout badges, the weird at last poster, a couple of t-shirts. ..) and for the record, star wars is the sith's thing (thus his nickname), I'm a medium level fan (I have a custom lightsabre, but it was a gift, and I've dressed up as a night sister, but only to match him)

Colors: blues, greens, purples, reds, all sorts of shades and saturations. I don't like beige, beige is death, and don't like grey - NYC is grey enough. I only do brown occasionally when it's a very dark rich chocolate brown.

Mall: Not a mall person, generally - I tend to only go these days when I need new bras/panties, and I need an Aerie. Here the Sephoras are stand alone, I go in them all the time.

Subscription Boxes: I am curious about these, I only get Birchbox, and the sith gets Lootcrate (but I get first dibs on anything fun, but haven't seen anything interesting in the last 2-3). There was a crowdsourcing page I can't remember where/which one anymore, but it was trying to start up a new goth box service, the DIY goth and Steampunk goth boxes looked cute, and you could get a one off...

IKEA: I live near one, so don't need anything.

The questionnaire asked about gold & silver jewelry, but how do you feel about copper jewelry? Do you like colorful jewelry, or do you prefer to keep it neutral?
If it were something especially interesting, I think copper could be pretty - I do like rose gold colors, and they can sometimes be the same, and I love my copper rosebud hair sticks. I do prefer more colorful jewelry!

We asked about decorating style, but are you interested in receiving decorations for your home? Are you interested in things that go on the wall or things that go on shelves?
Size is a big issue, because of the tiny apartment and space, I have limited shelf space, and limited wall space. But, things that are especially awesome, I make room for.

Office supplies hound? Pens, pencils, journals, any preference, or favorites?
I already have an office supply hook-up, so I don't need anything in this department.

I live near a huuuuge candy store. What kind of candy do you like? Gummies? Caramel? Chocolate? Sour? Sugar-free?
I'm not a big candy store fan in general.

How do you feel about animal products? Not so much animal toys or food, but more like furs, paws, bones, etc.
I'm totally cool with just about everything, as long as it's legal, clean, and not super gross (not that I expect my witch to spend that kind of money on me... - however, if my witch is in a wooded, rural area, and just happens to find a shed antler, that is VERY AWESOME. I have a nice sheepskin I picked up from a green market in RI last summer, adore it, and I'm always looking in the leathers and pelts stall at the ren faire.

restaurant.com gift cards: never used it. Isn't it like g/cs for chains, though? I try not to eat at chain restaurants, so probably not. Opentable.com on the other hand...

"toys" like stuffed animals: I do like them, but I'm pretty much at capacity for stuffed animals - the sith is fond of squishables, and I keep getting more (thankfully just the minis) than I have room for.

Fanfic: no thanks

Height: I am 5'8" (don't know my arm span, but shouldn't it be just a bit shy of your height, if you go wrist to wrist? I only have a wooden ruler at my desk, but it seems like 24" from wrist to shoulder (if you count a high shoulder, like almost to the neck, like a ragland sleeve) )

How do you feel about the 4 elements? Or are you more of an Asian 5 elements person? Do you feel strongly about any of the elements, like a connection or a preference?
Personally, I jive more with the Western 4, and I'm more earth, with a big side of storm, then regular air, then fire, and water's last at the bottom.

How do you feel about online classes? Like, say, craftsy or creativebug? Or even lynda.com? I love them in concept, and would like to do more, but I am unsure if I have the free-time/personal discipline to use them adequately.

How do you feel about bento boxes? Is it something you would use if you were to get one? like the Japanese lunch boxes? I probably wouldn't use it.

Scarves, shawls or cowls? Mittens, gloves, fingerless mitts or wristlets? I could dig a cowl.. I mostly have scarves (shawls? I have a couple of pashminas?) - and I tend towards gloves, but with the Reynaud's I'm very particular, I tend not to go for mittens, unless they're the kind that flip back to reveal fingers. I love arm warmers, and have wanted some long gloves, never a great way to cover up the wrists in the brutal NYC winter!

If I were to make you some art, would you prefer a frame that hangs or one that sits? And what color/style would you prefer? I prefer hanging frames, and frames, I'm all over the place, I have a huge ornate reclaimed frame I repainted in a Night Circus theme, to simple white, black, and copper metal frames. Whatever jives with the art, I guess.

How do you feel about gourmet marshmallows? I'm generally not a marshmallow person, but homemade marshmallows are so good! I've occasionally made marshmallows with booze as flavoring, and they are sooo good in hot cocoa once the winter turns! If the gourmet ones were fresh (not stale in the store for months, like regular ones) I'd love some!

Are you a slatherer or a dabber? depends on mood and oil - some oils I love to slather, but I'm more often a dabber.

Talk to me, dear witchies, about tea. I know we've covered this a little, but I really need the nitty gritty here- not just companies you like and don't like (Teavana? Adagio? David's? Some tiny place?) but I also want to know the other stuff: top 3 flavors, loose or bagged, the kinds of tea accessories you use- or have always wanted. Be specific. Provide links if necessary.
I'm not fond of David's, they put a lot of artificial flavors and sweeteners in some of their flavored blends, and I try and avoid those. I try and avoid artificial flavors in general, but a I ABSOLUTELY avoid artificial sweeteners, because the sith is allergic, and if tea is going to be in the house, he's going to drink it - also, I just dislike the aftertaste of artificial sweeteners. Teavana is fine, Adagio is my go-to out of the big corps, and I like DryadTea on etsy. Top 3 flavors are chocolate mint (green or black), and like that in teabags, and l prefer tea bags for my cold brew iced tea, but normally do loose leaf for my hot brewed iced tea. I also do loose leaf a lot for my morning black teas, which I like a variety of somewhat flavored, have been drinking a lot of pomegranate/raspberry vanilla rose black tea - could use a bit of a mix up there - getting colder, would like a ginger tea - always wondered if there was a ginger/coconut black tea, sounds good to me... I also try and drink really light refreshing green teas in the afternoon, and sometimes fruity bright white teas. Sometimes I do red tea, but normally not straight, something with more flavors, and vanilla goes well with a lot of red tea. I have all the tea equipment I really need/want.

ThinkGeek: I used to like them, but they've left a bad taste in my mouth after a few too many blatant etsy rip-offs, and sometimes less than stellar responses addressing getting caught red handed.

Are there any flowers you especially like? Yes! Roses, especially. My Mother's nickname for me is her rose, and when I was in China, the school children named me Mei Gui. If you could have a plant totem, mine would be rose. I also just really like lilacs, childhood obsession.

Would you be interested in any cozies or cases (yarn o fabric, not hard cases) for tech stuff (phone, laptop' etc) or for cups/mugs/bottles or anything else similar. I don't need anything in that department.

Duct tape crafts? I'm not especially sure about this, but dear witch, if that is your thing, I'd be interested to see your craft-fu in that area.
Are there witchees who would like book related gifts like a booklight, bookmark, bookseat or something for your reading gadget, like a cover or a light for example. a book light might be interesting, as long as it didn't need a plug-in. And I always need more bookmarks.

I make handmade journals, mini albums and similar items. Would my witchee be interested in something like that? Yea, verily, yea!

Are you interested in leg warmers at all? no so much in the traditional sense, but the kind that are meant to stick out the top of tall boots look cute.

Portal board game: pass

The Martian movie: pass

Honey or beeswax products? Discuss. Oh yes, please! The sith consumes amazing amounts of honey - actually slightly worrisome - but I'm also a fan, especially of regional varietals (there's a man at the union sq market who sells 5-6 seasonal flavors of honey, depending on where his bees were parked - goldenrod has been one of my favorites the past few years, but when I first found him, he had raspberry rose honey! Yum! And the old man with the blackberry farm back home sold blackberry honey from his bees that he used to pollinate his huge fields. I also love beeswax products - beeswax candles are a favorite (rolled tapers and votives, mostly, though I also like some of the molded ones - like my last witch got me this lovely beeswax candle that looked like a bottle with a floral motif, it smells great, even though I haven't burned it because it's so pretty! So definitely yes to beeswax, too!

Phobias: spiders

Marmite: no thank you

Used nail polish: I wouldn't object to a BPTP bottle that had already been tried - as long as the texture hasn't started going off, and that it wasn't an obviously almost empty/half-empty bottle - but one you tried and didn't like? Totally fine with that.

Are there any DISCONTINUED (not LE) BPAL oils that you wish you had, or had a little more of? Prunella. I loved that one.

And all questions from the SW thread will be copied here too:

Do you like colouring?
I have colored pencils and books so I'm set on these
Can you list your wishlists please?
Above this!
If you like Lush, are there any UK-only things you're desperate to get?
I don't use Lush a whole lot, but I'd be willing to try anything (I can't currently use bath bombs though :c )
Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies?
I always appreciate anyone's crochet/knitting work even though I crochet myself! I also enjoy crochet crafting supplies! handmade crochet hooks, cute stitch markers, yarn bowls, crochet/knitting bags etc (Edit: I know it's almost summer and I live in a place that gets to 115° but if you knit SUPER fast and could make an oversized sweater, I would be indebted to you forever, I don't know if it's allowed, but I'd be comfortable waiting past deadline for that. I can't ever find oversized sweaters that fit me and I always want to pick up knitting to make my own and never have the patience for it. I'd be willing to pay for materials and the pattern too.)
Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc?
I'm only allergic to the penicillin-class of medication, so I am safe to send all sorts of things to from any kind of house!
Do you like comics or graphic novels?
I haven't read any, but my fiance tries to get me into them. There's one inspired by Jim Henson that looks super awesome (because Jim Henson) so I'd like to give that one a try!
Nail Polish! Do you have a specific brand you like? Do you like/want to try Indie brands? What colors of nail polish do you wear?
I have lots of OPI but I'll take any brand-name polish. I love indie brands! A few of my favorites are KBShimmer, BearPawlish, EchoesPolish, GirlyBits Polish, and Bootie Babe Polish. I will wear any color of polish, yes really. I tend to not buy as many copper-colors, but I will wear them!
Do you use BPTP products? If so, which do you like, not like, want to try? And if not, are you interested in trying some, and which ones (scents or item types or both) most appeal?
I haven't yet! I do have the Blueberry Cream Pie perfume oil which smells FANTASTIC, and I'd like to try the HG but I just haven't taken the plunge yet. I would be interested in their perfume oils and HG's because I can't take baths currently.
Nail Wraps??
I'm not sure if I'd use these because I really love to use my nail polishes? But Nail Vinyls yes please!!! Twinkled T has a large selection of fantastic nail vinyls and I don't think I'd be sour about any of them. They're pretty inexpensive and I've always wanted to try more, I've only used them once at sister-in-law's house.
Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?
Yes. I love tea, I like oolongs and genmaicha the best but I will drink and try any and all teas. Also yes to spices etc because I like to do crockpotting and to get different flavor combinations from other places would be super cool, I'm an omnivore so any kind of meat rub would be acceptable!
In Regards to loose/bagged tea:
I normally prefer loose tea, but if there's a bagged tea you really like, please share with me!
Speaking of spices - where's your spicy/heat threshold?
Jalapenos/chili oil/spicy tuna is about the level of spice that I can handle. So on a scale of 1 - 10 I assume a 2 or 2.5?
Preferred book format? Physical, PDF, Kindle, etc?
I used to have a Kindle but it broke, so right now physical books would be ideal. It'll make convincing my husband we need a bookcase even better!
Would you be interested in any handmade critters? Stuffed animals, knit or crochet beasties, or anything remotely similar? If so, please give an example or five
Ohh yes! Stuffed or crocheted would be cool! It's probably the one thing I'm not good at is amigurumi. Five animal/beasties....Octopus/Cthulhu, Sharks, Giraffe, Owls, Dragons
Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Flowers (seeds, real, or handmade) prank-related items, a court jester's cap? Feel free to be creative and crazy with this one!
I'm not sure if this counts, but I do use wax melt tarts, so any springy scents would be great. I normally buy from Yankee Candle, but if you know of a great person on Etsy, please show me someone who does it themselves by all means!
Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet?
I feel like I'm always buying toys for my Beebs, but if you see something super adorable I won't say no! As for supplies, I could use some extra bowls for when I feed her wet food.
Geek paraphernalia! Almost everyone here has SOME sort of geek-love, whether it is Harry potter, Horror movies, graphic novels, science, etc. So would you be interested in any kind of items related to your geek-ish interests?
Pffffsh yes. I buy silly things all the time based solely on the fact that someone named it based on my interests! Interests a-hoy:
Star Trek:TNG
Doctor Who
Hannibal (tv series for things to buy but I liked the movies -obviously- ANTHONY HOPKINS UHYES)
Clue (Movie)
D&D
Sherlock
Lord of the Rings/Hobbit
(will add more when I remember 'cause I'm having brain farts)
Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities?
Cheaper metals turn my skin green, and wool makes me a bit itchy like normal folks, but that's about it!
Would you like pretty stationery/note cards, etc, for writing snail mail?
I actually would like some pretty note cards! I've been fairy-ing a lot for the events and always forget to put in little notes, so this would help me to remember and fellow forumites would get pretty little notes in their packages!
If you could have any BPALs right now (GC, LE, HTF) what would they be? Give examples of at least a few of each category:
GC
Calico Jack
Cathode
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat
R'lyeh
Arkham

LE
Jareth
Ice
Rendezvous at the Bath
Mother Ghost
The Snow at Noon

HTF (at least for me they are!)
Thunder Moon
Avunculus
Aeaea
Kuang Shi
The Last Unicorn
Any places you would like gift cards from?
I'd really dig some Trader Joe's gift cards. I really love their sweets and their frozen tamales, and the tamales I know couldn't be sent through the mail, so a gift card would be amazing.
Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences?
I wear make-up on occasion but that doesn't mean I don't collect it! I like Geek Chic Cosmetics and NYX Cosmetics. Usually I wear black eye-liner and bright or dark red lipstick or dark purple lipstick. I also really dig chap stick/lip gloss/lip sticks. My lips are always dried out so any moisturizing lip product would be awesome. Eye shadows I'm not picky with color, I like them all.
Junk food and candy?
All of the yes. I'm always eating junk food or candy, no shame here. I'll eat anything sweet. Chocolate is fantastic, chocolate covered items are a plus, fudge is great, hard candy is awesome, gummies I like, sugar is my jam. I'd be totally stoked to get some local sweets or junk foods. I also love bacon. Oh and if you have any place that sells strange jerky ie: alligator, kangaroo, antelope etc I will take that too! (I won't eat candied bugs those please don't send me bugs ohgawnobugsplease D: )
Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books?
My husband and I actually have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Video so DVD's aren't exactly my thing. I think the only DVD's I actually have that get real use are my copies of Clue, Labyrinth, and One, Two, Three (with James Cagney it's an old movie). Oh and Eddie Izzard DVDs but otherwise I don't collect the DVD's because I'd never open them. I'm not sure about fan books, or how I'd feel about them.
Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)?
Oh yes, I know a handful of things are wishlisted on Amazon, but I could always use more dishtowels. Green or teal colors preferred (or HALLOWEEN ONES OMG) but I'll take any colors really, I'm too lazy/eclectic to care
Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything?
I do like plants but we don't have any yet. I have no outdoor room for plants so seeds wouldn't work. I'm really digging these succulents I keep seeing, and I have a handful of succulent planters on etsy I like (esp the dinosaur ones ahahaa) I get nervous about most plants though because I have my cat and she likes to nibble on -everything- so they would need to be cat-safe plants
If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever) ?
All of these options? For example, I've purchased nail polish just because it was called Oubliette (terrible darrrrrk oubliette!) So if it's based off one of my interests I'll love it for sure
Are you in need of BPAL storage?
Good god yes! Right now I'm using a sewing storage kit and it's much too small so I can't use the lid and I'm just hiding them in my drawer. I'd like a real, proper storage solution to my beautiful smellies but I never know what to get. Show me the ways of good storage! I would love some storage from you for my BPAL!
Do you like candles? Incense? Wax melts?
I love candles and wax melts. Love them. The more I can make my house smell like pretty smells and less like boy smells the better. I love 'em but after working hard all day he smells like butt. lol!
BAGS! Do you like/want/need any kind of bags? Purses (big, small, medium), storage type bags, totes, re-usable grocery bags, make up or craft supply bags . . . anything? And if so, please give as much info as possible about type, color, use, fabric, etc
Purses would be cool, I normally like giganto ones, but small ones are nice too (My etsy favorites has purses by a lady I really like, her fabrics are too cute!) I also definitely need craft bags as I have so. much. yarn. I've linked to a pinterest which has a few from Look Human I like, and I think I have also favorited a few on etsy that are more traditional craft bags
What style of bag from here (if any) would you like? You can easily narrow down the choices on the side menu - but I only want to know the style, not the pattern!
http://eu.baba-store...bags-and-purses
The style from that specific site: Big Slouchy Messengers. I'll be returning to college here in the summer and could use a nice messenger bag for school supplies.
If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family?
I've taken a few different tests and back in the day they kept coming out Gryffindor, now they come out Ravenclaw. I've always wanted slytherin though because I love green and I'm all dark and twisty
Here's a question. I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that?
I love handmade things because I make handmade things! I also think having a journal to log my medical stuff might be helpful so yes!
What's your favorite animal/totem? Would you be interested in a small figurine of said animal from this etsy user?
I love all animals and this etsy user makes such gorgeous little sculptures that I would be okay with any of them. That being said, snow leopards are my favorite animal and I'd be super happy to get that too.
Anything exciting to you in PBSW's Spring Collection?
Uhm, all of it? I've never used any of their product but it all looks super awesome.
Witchee, are you interested in this kind of music (it's one of my favorites)[Tartanic - uncivilized]?
I'm pretty open to all music, but I don't listen to music as much as I used to.
Oh dear Witchee, how do you feel about Sakura Matsuri? Do you like Green Tea and Sakura flavored desserts/treats? Decorations or jewelry with a cherry blossom theme?
I like green tea-tea but the flavor tastes weird. Sakura flavor is awesome, I also like plum wine flavor. Cherry blossom decorations/jewelry are totally awesome too
Hey, witchee! If I were to send you a garment, what size would I send?
Depends! My amazon wishlist has most of the sizing already put in, but if you've found something you think I'll really like somewhere else I'm a size 16 in pants and my bust is a 40D so probably the biggest girl size they have if it's a girl size (unless it's a super baggy item, then I can probably do Large) and if it's a guy's style garment then probably 2X or 3X just because I like to cut them up and make them into girlier shirts.
It's Hottie Friday, witches and witchees! Name a famous crush or five
I'm asexual, so for me I don't really crush on celebrities. I do have an appreciation for Benedict Cumberbatch for playing an asexual (I have fears that they'll change that and it makes me sad) But for example, my dream encounter with Bendyback Crumblecake would be to drink tea and have him read to me. lol

Also - what are the last 5 songs that appeared on your random or shuffle music list
Pine Woods - Korpiklaani
Tormilind - Metsatoll
Fly - Blind Guardian
Stardust - Xandria
Rasputin - Turisas
Oh Witchee, have you seen the kimono tops that are all the rage right now? Would you like one? I will sew you one if you do, just tell me if you're a fringe or lace edge or plain edge type of person- I have your color picks from your questionnaire, unless you'd like it in something different than those?
I'd definitely be up for one of these! Plain edge though, my cat might think the fancy trims are cat toys!
Dragons, always dragons.
If you won a gift certificate for $100 (Or similar amount in your country) that could be used ANYWHERE what would you get?
Part of me wants to say "buy things for the house" because we still need things, but if it was a self-splurgy thing? New Clothes.
Something that you look forward to each spring, or that when you see it (hear it/smell it/taste it, etc) you think "Yes! Spring is here!" or something along those lines!
I live in Southern California so we don't have a traditional Fall/Winter here. The lowest it gets is 35 degrees sometimes. So for me fall/winter/spring are all one kind of season and then there's just unbearable summer lol. I think "spring" to me is hearing the birds in the morning/afternoon and the cherry blossom trees growing their flowers (we have one right outside and it's already started)

Do you like colouring?
I do! I have several adult coloring books already, and there is a whole section of additional ones I'd love on my Amazon wishlist.

If you like Lush, are there any UK-only things you're desperate to get?
I am not a fan of Lush, I have discovered. Sadly, their formulas and my skin do not get along.

Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies?
Not really my thing. I have cats that would claw anything crocheted.

Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc?
I'm allergic to tomatoes, incense (so no incense sticks or the like), and latex.

Edited 2/27

Comics/Graphic Novels?
I am getting into the Lucifer tradepaperbacks (I have the first two) and I want to get into reading Deadpool's stuff. But, I love graphic novels and comics!

Nail Polish! Do you have a specific brand you like? Do you like/want to try Indie brands? What colors of nail polish do you wear?
I like cheap, glittery, holo nail polish for crafting purposes.

Another question - do you use BPTP products? If so, which do you like, not like, want to try? And if not, are you interested in trying some, and which ones (scents or item types or both) most appeal?
I don't use the Post's body stuff as it causes me to break out or my hair to go nuts. I do love their atmo sprays, but I think I have all the ones I wanted... except a full side of the Peach Candyfloss.

Nail Wraps?
No, thank you!

Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?
I love bagged, plain black teas. I also love to cook, so spice rubs are always welcome!

Speaking of spices - where's your spicy/heat threshold? (scale of 1 - 10 - 1 being nothing more than black pepper, 10 being ghost pepper+)
We're a low-spice family, like a 3 or below is best.

Preferred book format? Physical, PDF, Kindle, etc?
I prefer physical books, and used is absolutely fine!

Would you be interested in any handmade critters? Stuffed animals, knit or crochet beasties, or anything remotely similar?
No, thank you. My cats tend to get a hold of these types of things and tear them to shreds. I'd feel terrible!

Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Flowers (seeds, real, or handmade), prank-related items, a court jester's cap?
Nothing comes to mind!

Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet?
My cats LOVE catnip toys, and I never say no to more of them.

Geek paraphernalia! Almost everyone here has SOME sort of geek-love, whether it is Harry potter, horror movies, graphic novels, science, etc. So would you be interested in any kind of items related to your geek-ish interests?
I'm always open to more items of my geeky passions. My geeky loves include Sailor Moon (have loved it, the Outer Senshi--Haruka/Sailor Uranus and Michiru/Sailor Neptune--specifically, since I was 13), Lord of the Rings/Silmarillion (specifically Elven related items, though I do own all the books Tolkien and his son published in relation to Middle-Earth... and please, no Hobbit movie related merchandise as that movie trilogy gives me a tic... really... I hate those movies with a Tolkien purist's passion), Labyrinth, Angel Sanctuary, Death Note, Black Butler, Loveless, Dragon Age (specifically Fenris-centric >.>), The Crow, The Shining (though nothing Kubrick related as I don't like his interpretation of King's work), and Gaiman's Sandman (from the original run when Dream was all dark and brooding! -- love anything Endless).

Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities?
Wool and non-silver or gold metals cause allergic reactions in me, so I avoid them when I can.

*****

Edited 3/2

Would you like pretty stationery/note cards, etc. for writing snail mail?
No, thank you. I almost never send out snail mail.

If you could have any BPALs right now (GC, LE, HTF) what would they be? Give examples of at least a few of each category:
GC:
Dorian (I can always use more Dorian!)
Absinthe

Any places you would like gift cards from?
Amazon, Walmart, Petsmart are the three I would use most.

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences?
I use high end make-up and don't expect my Witch to buy that for me! I prefer MAC, Makeup Geek, and Urban Decay, and I wear warm colors mostly.

Junk food and candy?
I am a sucker for foreign candy and snack foods. I love Japanese candy and snacks. I'm also a big lover of gummy and sour things, especially sour gummy things.

Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books?
We're in the process of switching to Bluray, so I'm very interested in getting movies and shows off my wishlist in Bluray.

Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)?
I have stuff on my wishlist, but I am DYING for a spatter screen for my fry pan. I've wanted one for years, and I just never get around to buying one.

Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything?
I have a brown thumb. I kill anything planty. >.> I also have pets so they tend to eat plants.

If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever)?
Hang on the wall, definitely.

Are you in need of BPAL storage?
Yes! I love these boxes from Amazon and can always use more: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QSMU0Q8or http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014Z8FNK4

Do you like candles? Incense? Wax melts?
Candles. I prefer Yankee Candles. I don't do incense or wax melts.

Don't need a bag or purse, thank you!

If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family?
Not into Harry Potter or Game of Thrones.

Here's a question. I make handmade journals/albums/smashbooks/junk journals. Would you be interested in anything like that?
Not in need of a journal or anything like that.

What's your favorite animal/totem? Would you be interested in a small figurine of said animal from this etsy user?
This sweet one called to me: https://www.etsy.com/listing/265023044/snow-fennec-fox-totem-figurine-sculpture

Spring Fool's Witch 2016

I'll start with links/info for my wishlists

I have links in my signature, but I noticed the amazon one doesn't work. My amazon list is called "Ever-Growing,Highly Eclectic" and is under Lisa Marie Almond. If you have trouble finding anything, just ask me via any sneaky means you can think of (Ask the SwitchWitch acct to ask me if you want - I won't know who sent the Q)

Do you like colouring?
Yes, but is not a big deal for me.
If you like Lush, are there any UK-only things you're desperate to get?
I have no idea. I never looked for UK only things.
Crochet goodies yes or no? If yes, what kind of goodies?
I always love hand made items! Scarfs, wraps, shawls, mittens, fingerless gloves, pretty much anything. ALthough i could particularly use a hat right now.

Do you have any allergies to animals/smoke/food etc?
Smoke sensitivity, but not an actual allergy.

Graphic novels: I have enjoyed X-men, Serenity, and Castle Waiting, among others

Nail Polish & Wraps: No thanks - although if you have an idea or product that might help me stop gnawing on my fingernails, that would be awesome

BPTP: bath oils, TKO atmo, anything that is mentioned on my wishlist or has notes I like.

Teas/Spices/Spice Rubs/Specialty Ingredients from a local tea & spice shop?
Sure! Love tea & enjoy cooking
In Regards to loose/bagged tea: either, although I use bagged more frequently.

Speaking of spices - where's your spicy/heat threshold? (scale of 1 - 10 - 1 being nothing more than black pepper, 10 being ghost pepper+) 1-3 although I much prefer non-pepper spices such as cumin, garlic. etc

Preferred book format? Physical, PDF, Kindle, etc? Physical or kindle

Would you be interested in any handmade critters? Stuffed animals, knit or crochet beasties, or anything remotely similar? If so, please give an example or five
General rule of thumb is , if it is an animal or subject I have mentioned, then i will love it. However, I did once get a little family of crochet birds from a witch that I adore, even though I didn't specifically mention birds.

Since this is the Spring Fools' round, is there anything that goes with the theme of April Fool's Day or spring that might be fun to add to your package? Flowers (seeds, real, or handmade) prank-related items, a court jester's cap? Feel free to be creative and crazy with this one! Easter related things are all cool. A funky hat or cap. I'd love some lavender, but I can't be sure I'd manage to plant it.

Pet owners - would you like any kind of toy or supply for your pet? No Pets

Geek paraphernalia! Almost everyone here has SOME sort of geek-love, whether it is Harry potter, Horror movies, graphic novels, science, etc. So would you be interested in any kind of items related to your geek-ish interests? Oh yeah!

Any yarn, plastic, metal, or fabric sensitivities? Nope

would you like pretty stationery/note cards, etc, for writing snail mail? Hmmm . . . if it's just a few things for someone/something special. I don't do much snail mail, but occasionally I do have need of a special card or notepaper.

If you could have any BPALs right now (GC, LE, HTF) what would they be? Give examples of at least a few of each category Hmmm, I recently became concerned that i might need back ups of Misk U and TKO. From the Limited Edition stuff, there are a few Liliths and Moths/Butterflies that i never got & would really like (see wishlist)

Any places you would like gift cards from? Trader Joe's, Paintbox Soapworks, lush, Amazon, Pistacia Vera, SpoonFudge, Jeni's Ice Cream, yarn stores, any place I have mentioned in the Q'aire

Do you wear make-up? Any brands you like? Color preferences? Yes. Mostly Bare Minerals and Lumiere. The green tinted corrector from Lumiere and the mineral veil from Bare Minerals are two things I've been running low on & contemplating replacing. or I enjoy little sample sized goodies from anywhere.

Junk food and candy? Yes! Especially anything involving dark chocolate

Witchee, regarding your fave TV shows, would you be interested in the associated DVDs? Fan books? DVD's if mentioned on my amazon list UNLESS it's the old X-men cartoon from the '80's. I don't think that is on my list, but I sure wouldn't mind it! Books are always fun!

Do you need any items for your kitchen (linens, gadgets, cooking supplies, etc.)? There are a few things on my amazon list

Gardens/plants: I am dreaming of spring, dear witch: Do you like plants? Do you have any? Indoor potted plants? A balcony bed? A yard? Do you want/need anything? I love plants, and as I said before, I would love to get some lavender in my yard, but with 2 young children I don't have much time out there right now. Maybe an indoor, easy to care for plant? Nothing that might be bad for the 3 year old to take a bite of, since she still does that sort of thing occasionally.

If I were to make you something based on one or more interests mentioned in your Q'aire/blog, would you prefer something you could wear, something that hangs on a wall, or something that sits on a shelf (or couch or wherever) ? Any of it would be wonderful, but wearables might be easiest to find space for.

Are you in need of BPAL storage? Not really, but I still love fun and/or pretty boxes

If you like Harry Potter stuff, what house do you belong in? If you like Game of Thrones, what family? HufflePuff/Ravenclaw depending on which quiz. As for GoT - I read the books many years ago, before there was talk of a TV show. I honestly don't remember enough to choose a family.

Oh Witchee, have you seen the kimono tops that are all the rage right now? Would you like one? I will sew you one if you do, just tell me if you're a fringe or lace edge or plain edge type of person- I have your color picks from your questionnaire, unless you'd like it in something different than those? I'd love a kimono top - plain or lace edge, probably

A dragon would be super cool!

Scents I've Tried

I'm putting together a list of scents I own/have tried! Not necessarily from BPAL, but hopefully this will help me start to see a pattern in what notes I enjoy Highlighted/colored ones are the ones I feel very strongly about (in whatever category they may be in). Underlined are full bottles I own

BPAL Scents:

Liked: Jareth - BPAL - Masculine as heck, but still my favorite perfume. Nothing like getting whiffs of leather and musk throughout the day Ethereal lilac fougere and gleaming leather with ti leaf, tonka absolute, white musk, and oudh. Satyr - BPAL - Another super masculine scent I adore. I hear snake oil is more of a feminine version of it, so I'm thinking that might be buy #2 since this is maybe a little too masculine for me to wear normally. A ferociously masculine scent: sexual, vigorous, and truly wild. Florence- BPAL - For some reason, on first application this scent reminds me of... something! I have no idea what, but I KNOW it smells like somewhere I've been! I've never been to Florence, but it definitely smells like... maybe a candy I like. Kind of like those violet mints. Elegant iris, bright berreis, gilded amber and velvety spices. Snake Oil - BPAL - Like there was any doubt I wasn't going to love this The vanilla peeks through ~10 mins after applying and, mixed with the spiciness of it, is soooo good. Lady Lucille Sharp - Crimson Peak - BPAL - I want to smell like this FOREVER! It's the perfect gap between old lady rose perfume and young Victorian Woman rose perfume. While it does smell vaguely like my great grandmother, she also had great taste in perfumes (it's genetic, clearly). On my skin it's somewhat sour, in a good way, while wafting around me is the scent of lilies. It's truly a scent made for it's namesake. Faded red roses and a glimmer of garnet with black lily, ylang ylang, smoky plum musk and black amber. Ghosts - Crimson Peak - BPAL - This is extremely floral, and I'm surprised I like it! It remains floral from the time it goes on to well after dry down... definitely that chrysanthemum popping through. But it's not overpowering. I don't smell any of the incense, but that's OK because I find it usually seems to drown out everything on my skin! Chrysanthemum petals, crushed violet leaf and funeral incense. Blood Moon 2008 - BPAL - This is way sweeter than I expected but phew, is it delicious! The feral scent of the heat of the chase, deep woods, undulating musks, brushed by forest flora, swirled in the incense of the anointed cherub that covereth and touched by blood-dimmed lunar oils. Shoggoth - BPAL - Candy goodness! This smells like the perfect mix between my lemongrass tea and some hard candies I've had in the past. White amber, green coconut meat, iris, palmarosa, Chinese peony, water lily, snowdrop, muguet, lemongrass, osmathus, wisteria, glassy musk and hinoki. Envy - BPAL - This smells like when I would spend the whole day as a kid at the public pools, in a good way! Grass and water and suntan lotion all mixed into one. I thought I wasn't a "green" fan, but this is really SUCH a wonderful, summery scent! Green herbs slithering through mint, lime and lavender. White Rabbit - BPAL - Yummy!!!! Finally a foodie scent that I like!!!! Oh, it smells milky without being baby-powder-y. This is definitely all I ever wanted in a Wonderland scent! Strong black tea and milk with white pepper, ginger, honey and vanilla, spilled over the crisp scent of lean linen. Dirty - BPAL - Mmmmm. I've always loved a good clean linen scent in my candles, and it seems to work well on my body, too! This smells like vacation at a fancy hotel. Brand new, high thread count sheets! <3 A fresh, crisp white linen scent: perfectly clean, perfectly breezy. Bordello - BPAL - I smell just like sugary homemade jam!! I love this!!!! I'm thinking plum might be one of my best scents so far- it's also in Lucille. While this is a very DIFFERENT plum, it's still amazing. Bawdy plum with amaretto, burgundy wine and black currant. Hymn - BPAL - Oh, this is definitely something I'd wear to church if I went to church. Maybe next time I'm visiting my Catholic friends on a weekend I'll bring this along. This would have been amazing for exploring the churches in Germany - would have really set the scene. The rose is held down from doing it's usual weird thing by the other scents, and the frankincense doesn't shove everything out of the way like it normally does!! Perfect rose absolute and Palestinian Lily of the Valley with olibanum, labdanum, frankincense and myrrh. Venus Verticordia - BPAL - DANDELIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fickle dandelion florets dancing through honey-drenched wildflowers. Ode on Melancholy - BPAL - A gorgeous mixed floral that's not overly sweet and powdery! Love the little bit of sandalwood in there. Lavender and wisteria, heart-wrenching pale rose, desolate white sandalwood and thin, tear-streaked white musk. Morocco - BPAL - Not something I'd wear, but I do like it. It reminds me of one of my grandmother's perfumes. Kinda coconutty? Arabian spices wind through a blend of warm musk, carnation, red sandalwood and cassia. Zombi - BPAL - Ooh, now this is an interesting one. I do smell the rose above all else, but there's something there that tames it. Very earthy. Is it the moss or the earth I really like? Only way to know.. try more moss scents Dried roses, rose leaf, Spanish moss, oakmoss and deep brown earth. Chuparosa - BPAL - Okay, this I might have to give another go later because it seems to maybe be burning my hand??? Can't tell if it's just dry skin (most likely) or the perfume. But either way it smells really, really good!! It's a floral/clean linen-y scent. The Hummingbird of Love, the Rose Sucker. A potent, benevolent, merciful love blend. Nuclear Winter - BPAL - MMM. This totally smells like total atomic annihilation. A very "cold" scent... It's something I would wear when I'm breaking up with someone The ice, desolation, and barrenness of nuclear devastation shot through by a beam of radioactive mints. Cathode - BPAL - I'm always afraid mint is going to explode on me, but so far, it seems to be working well. This is a sweeter mint than I'm used to, it definitely smells "electrical". The longer I wear it, the more I keep sniffing my arm. I do really think this might go up into my favorites... Ambergris, spanish moss, oakmoss and three electric mints. Old Demons of the First Class - BPAL - Ooooohhhh this is so good. I don't actually know what any of the notes smell like individually, but the mix is amazing. Siberian musk, black clove, opoponax, tonka, black pepper and neroli. The Waltz - Crimson Peak - Champagne musk, ambergris accord, white rose, rosewood, and vanilla amber. Fairy Tales and Lies - Crimson Peak - Lilac water and rose petals swirled with a gleaming amber chypre and touch of Italian bergamot. Between Your Heart and Mine - Crimson Peak - Heartwood bois de rose and vanilla-touched rose. Courtney - ParaNorman - Tanning lotion and (very) pink bubblegum.

Neutral: Odin - BPAL - Good and spicy, but too masculine for me. I like the woody scent of it. His scent is dry elm bark, amaranth, warrior’s musk, and Odin’s Nine Herbs of Power Voodoo Lilly - BPAL - This was an instant no for me straight out of the bottle. The dry-down is actually pretty good, but I can't get over the initial smell in bottle and on my skin. A breathtakingly exotic, wild, and grossly erotic spicy gold, purple-black, and burgundy lily. Midnight Mass 2014 - BPAL - It smells just like incense, which I love, but not so much on me. Traditional Roman Catholic sacramental incense. Ossa Arida - BPAL - Once again, my skin explodes the incense and covers everything else up! Gah! Frankincense, golden amber, bourbon vanilla, gurjum balsam and Bulgarian rose. The Manuscript - Crimson Peak - BPAL - I desperately want to love this. DESPERATELY. Thank goodness for imps, I almost bought it blindly. It really smells like an old book, but there's something else that peeks out on my skin that gives me a headache. I WANT TO LIKE IT. BUT I CAN'T! Leather and paper and splotches of ink, with a hint of ghostly chill. Love Makes Monsters of Us All - Crimson Peak - BPAL - It's not awful, it's just not a scent for me. There is a sweet decay quality about it which is neat, but not something I want to wear. Soil and rot and the heat of rage, blood-smeared musk and sharp decay. Wicked - BPAL - A nice scent, but not something I can see myself really wearing. I struggled between "like" and "neutral" for this, but in the end, the rose starts to smell weird on me, as usual Rich myrrh and jasmine draped in the subtlest rose. Hades - BPAL - I don't really know how to describe this one? It's good, and fades into a sweet heat sort of scent, but there's a hint of something underneath it during the dry down I'm not a fan of. I need to try this again, though, on dry down it's starting to transform... Maybe when I have a fresh nose, haha. Black narcissus and cypress, stephanotis, opoponax, labdanum, onycha and ambergris. Mme. Moriarty, Misfortune Teller - BPAL - I couldn't quite tell what was off when I put this on, but I saw someone describe it as "cherry lozenges" and that's definitely what I'm getting. I ordered this before I knew that patchouli doesn't agree with me, and there's just enough of that weird funk it releases plus the medicinal smell that I'm really not fond of. It's not BAD, just not great. Red musk, vanilla bean, pomegranate, black currant, patchouli leaf and wild plum. Quintessence of Dust - OLLA - BPAL - Something in this is good, but also not super desireable. The dust is REALLY strong. I'm still debating on whether or not to keep the bottle. Maybe it's the beeswax that I like/don't like at the same time. It is a very book-y scent, one that's better than the Manuscript, though! Beeswax and smoke, yellowed paper and well-worn leather books, droplets of spilled ink, faded incense, blood-tinged salty tears, and the metal of the knife that skewers that illiterate zombie philistine's portrait. Dracul - BPAL - Somehow I smell anise despite that not being a listed scent? It's a pretty good scent but not something I'd probably ever wear. The tobacco isn't quite what I want on my body. It's a bit too cabin-man-masculine for me- I think generally the "masculine" scents I like are dark leather. Like biker chick 8) Black musk, tobacco, fir, balsam of peru, cumin, bitter clove, crushed mint and orange blossom. Dragon's Hide - BPAL - It's a nice scent, just not overwhelmingly so. Dragon's blood, leather, and a hint of smoke. Machu Picchu - BPAL - Eh. It's soapy. That's about all there is No fruit, no amber, no nothin. (Okay, update: the fruit does eventually come out. But barely!) Sweet tropical fruits burst through deep, wet rainforest boughs, enormous steamy blossoms, over thin mountaintop breezes, mingled with the soft, rich golden scent of Peruvian amber. Endymion - BPAL - Oh! The pear is so lovely. But pear and rose are NOT playing nice on my skin. They're mingling into a weird, soapy scent. I definitely need to look into a pear scent that's not fighting with florals, I bet it would be amazing on my skin!! A sweet, wistful blend of d'Anjou pear, Lily of the Valley, bois du rose and white musk. The Sea Foams Blood - Blood rising through an ocean wave. Ghost Revelry - Damp mosses, fallen leaves, and soft woods siwrled with an ethereal mist of white sandalwood, lilac, orris root and moonflower. Adam - OLLA - This smells exactly like my grandfather used to, which is somewhat startling to be honest. Black leather, pale sandalwood, ambergris accord, Victorian fougere, guitar wood, bow rosin, musty wool, the plastic/metal/magnetic tape of his reel-to-reel, and the dust that permeates everything. Eve - OLLA - Irish moss, yarrow, hawthorn, honey, myrrh, calamus, frankincense, damask roses, white sandalwood, Moroccan saffron, rose water and a swirl of incense.

Disliked:
The Red Queen - BPAL - WAY too sugary sweet! Deep mahogany and rich, velvety woods lacquered with sweet, black-red cherries and currant. Tweedledum - BPAL - It's a Houdini scent! It totally disappeared a little after applying. If I really stick my nose to my skin I can catch it, but it's barely there! What little remains is great, but would need constant re-application. Green mango, fig, patchouli and green tea. Veritas - BPAL - Starts out as something AMAZING on my skin. The frankincense really shines through. Then, tragedy, as it fades into something ozone-y. I have no clue what makes it smell the way it does on dry-down but it's really upsetting because I thought for a while I had a winner! Frankincense, white carnation, angelica, chamomile and heliotrope. Poisoned Apple - BPAL - Starts off with an awesome apple scent, then fades into something powdery on my skin. It disappears fairly fast, too! Red apple, narcotic opium, oleander, hemlock. Black Moths - Crimson Peak - BPAL - Blech, something is off. I have no idea what half the scents are but it might be the vetiver or tonka, which haven't always agreed with me in the past. Maybe the patchouli? Wild plum and blackcurrant with aged black patchouli, vetiver, red rose petal, tonka absolute and opoponas. The Coiled Serpent - BPAL - All I can smell is patchouli. I like it on other things, just not on ME! This would be a great atmo if it is one, though. Or something to spray on my clothes, maybe. Lust - BPAL - In the bottle; ooh, I think I'm gonna like this! On my skin: GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!!!!!!! I'm choking!!! Body, what are you DOING!! Red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh. Golden Priapus - BPAL - Eugh. This smells like someone rolled around in pine needles with a bad cologne. And eventually it just becomes pine resin. Vanilla and amber with juniper, rosewood and white pine. Schrodinger's Cat - BPAL - How can such a cool sounding scent with notes I like go SO WRONG???? AUGH. I put this on, sniffed, and immediately coughed. My trust was betrayed! I blame the chocolate. Tangerine, sugared lime, pink grapefruit, oakmoss, lavender, zdravetz, and chocolate peppermint. Ouija - BPAL - First sniff: coughing. Second sniff: Smoke, like cigarette smoke. And something like a mean mint coming through. Not a good clean one like I enjoy. I thought I liked woody scents! What's happening! Rosewood, oak and teak notes with wispy blue lilac, tea rose, dried white rose and ethereal osmanthus. Kill-Devil - BPAL - I was worried I was going to love this and then regret not finishing my application for an internship at Kill Devil Hills. Thankfully, my "not-a-foodie" nature saved the day, I guess. I smell like a moldy cake. Always with the mold! It's so unfortunate. I can smell the sweetness under there. Sugar cane, molasses, oak wood and honey. Miskatonic University - Ugh, too foodie. Irish coffee, dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls. Queen of Sheba - Golden honeyed almonds and a whisper of African and Middle Eastern spices.

Common Brimstone:

Liked: Court of the Fox Maiden - Common Brimstone - A mix of Court of the Dragon and Fox Maiden. Super spicy on me, I LOVE it! Benzoin, dragon's blood, violet, Chinese musk, mandarin, plum, and cherry blossom. She-Wolf- Common Brimstone - The cranberry is SUPER strong on me, while the apple comes out on my mom. I love that it's got a slightly sour, crisp feeling to it- a very wintry perfume! Red apple, pomegranate, mulberry, cranberry, pink pepper, autumn leaves, spice Paradise Regained - Common Brimstone - This is summer in a bottle! I can't believe it got discontinued. It's everything I ever wanted. Pomegranate and coconut are definitely top players. Pomegranate, pikaki, passion fruit, dragon's blood, cananga, coconut Strange Bright Fruit - Common Brimstone - I would own a full bottle of this, but it's a little too much like Paradise Regained to buy it until Paradise Regained runs out! A sweet, summery scent. Lime, watermelon, coconut milk, pink sugar, freesia Sun Catcher - Common Brimstone - I got a little carried away with the summer scents in the middle of winter. Another one that's similar to Paradise Regained, but there's just enough of a difference. I don't really know how to describe it. Fruit salad? Sweet? Aloe, cucumber, pineapple, raspberry, satsuma, honeydew melon

Neutral: Bastet - Common Brimstone - I originally really liked this until someone told me it smelled baby powdery. It started off as milky but now all I can smell is baby powder! Not awful, I just don't particularly feel like smelling like I'm near children all the time. Honey, shea butter, chai tea, saffron, rose, coconut milk Avalon - Common Brimstone - This is SUPER lavender-y smelling. That's not even a note listed in it but all I smell like is flowers. It's alright, I like flowers, but way more overwhelming than I expected. Apple blossom, grape, grass, storm, water, pear blossom Druid - Common Brimstone - This smelled great the first time I wore it. Then I bought a bottle and now all I can smell is soggy pencils. Which, to be fair, has it's charms on a rainy day. But only rainy days. Opoponax, labdanum, oakmoss, poppy, fig

Disliked: Unbirthday '15 - Common Brimstone - AUGH!!! NO!!! I smell like the worst cake! It's so good in the bottle, on me, it's moldy Green tea, buttercream, almond, hazelnut, white chocolate. Abhaile - Common Brimstone - Moldy cake once again! carrot cake, hot chocolate, cinnamon, chestnut, French vanilla Selkie - Common Brimstone - A little too ozone-y for me. lilac, lily, ocean, fresh water, air Odezia - Common Brimstone - It's not AWFUL. It's just not really something I like. blackberry, clove, amber, sweet pea and sage. Sphynx - Common Brimstone - A musk that doesn't agree with me! I feel betrayed! Egyptian musk, turmeric, cumin, pink lotus, nutmeg, orchid, lily, hibiscus Cybele - Common Brimstone - This smells somehow foodie to me? Not sure. The vetivert I think is what's throwing it off. smoky notes of vetivert and animalistic musk, softened with just a touch of vanilla and made bright and wild with lime and frangipani Petite Mort - Common Brimstone - I can't smell the leather, honey, or rose at all on me! caraway, cardamom, leather, honey, rose

Haus of Gloi:

Liked: Persephone's Descent - Haus of Gloi - Okay, I'm starting to notice a pomegranate trend here. And musk! It's just subtly fruity. EDIT: OH MY GOD I GOT THE OIL SAMPLE OF THIS AND I WILL KILL FOR IT. It smells SO much better on me as a straight perfume oil than the other products I was using!!! It's SO fruity!! Pomegranate, pale musk, narcissus blossom and black amber. Cozy Sweater - Haus of Gloi - It smells like all sweaters should smell like! The musk is soft and comes out well with the amber. Pale skin musk, faded perfume, Egyptian amber, softly burning nag champa incense and a fine aged vanilla. Imp - Haus of Gloi - My tropical obsession comes out again. I need to stop ordering scents in the winter. Peculiar passion fruit mingling with sun cured apricots, perfectly pink grapefruit juice and innocent whispers of wet mimosa blooms. Moon Dog - Haus of Gloi - I don't really have the vocab to describe this, but in the bottle it's mediocre, and after drying on my skin, it's FLAWLESS. A more water-y scent. Solar storms erupt: cracked coconut, dry sandalwood essence, heated with nutmeg and clove. Risque - Haus of Gloi - This is like the female Jareth! I love it! Leather for days! Red musk, leather, black vetiver and red rose. Depravity - Haus of Gloi - Ooh, this is pretty good. At first I thought I smelled chocolate, which I don't like on my skin, but that quickly vanished into something sensual and spicy. For some reason, it reminds me of a summer camp I used to work at. Maybe one of the other counselors wore something like it? I mean, it WAS a hippie camp, so everyone was wearing SOME type of oil, haha. Clove, nutmeg and coconut on a bed of rich golden amber, sandalwood, and spilled wine.

Neutral: Three Treasures- Haus of Gloi - It's a little too incense-y for me. Sacred gifts of frankincense, myrrh and gold. Smoldering with warmth and brightened with a touch of mandarin rind. Old Cider Haus- Haus of Gloi - The notes kind of mish-mash together so they fight rather than harmonize. Apple and hay with a little vanilla is mostly what I can make out. Still pretty dang good, though. Old oak, sweet drying hay fields, crushed apple pulp and vanilla husks. Rose City - Haus of Gloi - I love the smell of "old rose" but it doesn't necessarily love me. Plus it's a little overwhelming on it's own. Red roses and the earthy wet scent of aged patchouli. Ruth - Fresh strawberry, green patchouli, rose geranium and crushed violet leaf.

Disliked: Picaroon - Haus of Gloi - I tried this scent because someone compared it to Salt Water from Firebird. Lies! It's fine in the bottle but does something funky on my skin. Sun scorched mahogany bough crusted with a crystalline sea spray. Faint plundered rare spices, lemongrass, coconuts, fine Mexican lime and Haitian bay rum. Peach Mama - Haus of Gloi - While peach usually seems to work on me, something in this one doesn't. Maybe it's the labdanum? Peach nectar and a host of resins: offertory frankincense, styrax, copaiba balsam and ambered labdanum absolute. Warmed with cassia and a barely audible breath of black patchouli. Who Needs Love - Haus of Gloi - Too chocolatey. A mahogany box filled with chocolaty orbs, coated in crystallized coffee, filled with a pomegranate and raspberry filling. Absinthe - Haus of Gloi - I desperately want to like this! However it's maybe a little too... green?... for me. Wormwood and anise swim in a creamy green sea of lemon balm and soft glowing mints. A hefty lump of sugar and the tiniest drop of suggestive deep green moss. Insalata Nocturna - Haus of Gloi - I'm starting to think "green" isn't my scent. In the night garden, green Bolivian lemon, rubbed tomato leaf, olive leaf absolute, black fig syrup and basil.

Firebird Bath and Body:

Liked: Saltwater - Firebird Bath and Body - You can smell the salt! An aquatic scent that actually works on me!!! A non-floral, non-tropical ocean scent consisting of marine notes, cedar and myrtle, that softens and mellows on the skin and becomes ethereal and almost haunting. Gingerale - Firebird Bath and Body - You can SMELL the fizz! This is basically ginger ale, I ADORE it! Bright Citrus, Fresh Ginger, Fizz Woodland - Firebird Bath and Body - I'm so sad this was discontinued before I bought a whole bottle! It smells just like the woods, or the memory of the woods. Galbanum, moss, evergreen. Sugar Maple - Firebird Bath and Body - Another one that's discontinued! This is a smokey maple. Maple is one of my favorite things in the whole world!

Disliked: Woodsmoke and Vanilla - Firebird Bath and Body - Too smokey for me, but the title doesn't lie! Firewood, Fir Needle, Vanilla

Arcana:

Liked: Breakfast in Hollywood - Juicy pink grapefruit shimmies up against a bevy of California citrus fruits, sparkling champagne and ripe strawberries. The indulgent essence of breakfast with a screen goddess.

Neutral: Bawd - Bright red cherry, brassy tobacco, Anjou pear, and white amber.

OHWTO:

Liked: Message in a Bottle - Salt water magnolia, sweetgrass, tempered by a hint of black agar and amber and brightened with a splash of citrus sweetness. Dandelion Wine - Sweet green grass, Dandelions, Tobacco, a hint of Smoke, Atlas Cedarwood, Heliotrope, and a wee touch of Patchouli to ground it.

Disliked: Sea Legs - Briny air, a steady Ocean breeze, salt-encrusted Wooden masts, and barrels of precious Ambergris collected from the lacy surface of the waves.

Possets:

Disliked: Virginia (Rev 1) - ???? Honeysuckle??? Oh man does it smell like rotten honeysuckle though!!! (((

Others:

Liked: Lust - Lush - Jasmine! And nothing but. Love it. Yellow Diamond - Versace - I have the roll on after smelling it in a little mail-in ad and falling in LOVE. I call this my "rich, successful business lady" perfume Like a burst of light, the fragrance gleams and glistens as it opens with notes of bright citron, a fresh pear sorbet, sparkling bergamot, and an accent of neroli. As its heart emerges, the rare elegance of orange blossom shines through the light of freesia and mimosa with the natural transparency of nymphea. The lingering base notes add a fascinating sense of sensuality with ambery woods, the sunny and vibrant character of palo santo wood, and the refined presence of musk.

Disliked: Holly Jolly Christmas - Debauchery Bath - ?????

Pirate's Locker February 13th 2016

I had the house to myself tonight is was quite nice incense, music, glow sticks and Bpal. I also found a wooden on the inside and leather on the outside box to store my Bpal in. I am also waiting for Womb Furie and Jareth to arrive, they should be here at least by Tuesday.
