Winter Holiday Swap

Hey there, foxy! Some hints for you:   Etsy favourites! (currently in mad love with those Time Lord necklaces...)   This is... a lot of scrolling, so I'll put new things on top from now on. Eep. Sorry!   Are there any Yules from *PAST* years that you're interested in trying? This is my very first Yule, so I haven't tried much, and none of the classics -- I'd be up for anything! But I'd be especially interested in any cold and snowy scents that aren't florals (Snow White, frex, would be a total no-go). The Snow Storm sounds made of total win to me. Nuclear Winter, Hypothermia, anything in that vein definitely.   Soap dish? Ooh! Yes! I only switched recently from liquid to bar and I don't have a soap dish. I was going to fashion myself one out of chopsticks but first I need to find a decent place to get Chinese food around here and I haven't and until I do my soap will be sitting in sad and slimy pools. Caveat: preferably not something easily breakable since my bathroom has a window above my shower-ledge and, as mentioned 972 times in my blog, my cats are klutzes. They caught sight of a squirrel in the backyard today. This occasioned the near-destruction of the stereo, when they forgot windows are made of solid material and tried to hurl themselves after it. It was a really important squirrel, apparently.   If your fox were to knit something for you, would it be a lacy shawl or a pair of socks? Either would be awesome! Although I can't knit myself socks, it's too scary. But then, every year I get multiple pairs of socks for Christmas. But then again, one can never have too many socks. But....hm. Shawl! It sounds so pretty!     Fruit/dried fruit? Cherries? Tart cherries are love! I adore tart cherry jelly -- not the chunky kind, not the kind with whole cherries, just smooth. It's so difficult to find in the US and I was going mad, but last summer I was lucky enough to get several pounds of cherries and make my own. Still have a few jars, so I'm not desperate at present, but I'd never say no to more   Not particularly interested in dried fruit. Fruit leather's okay. Crystallised pineapple and ginger are okay. I like dried apricots but I'm mildly allergic to them so that's probably not a good idea, even though I'd eat and like them.   Bunnies! What is your general philosophy about patterns for accessories such as socks, scarves, and tights? Do you like solids? Stripes? Polka dots? Weird patterns like harlequin-type stuff? Any of the above? All of the above! Especially stripes and patterns! Argyle and paisley are super. Polka dots are okay but I prefer swiss-dots -- or even better, little patterns, like stars.   $20 to blow in Walgreens: I tend not to wear makeup and for skincare I'm a super-minimalist: I make my own masks/scrubs and moisturise with jojoba or olive oil. But my hair is a mess, and nothing I've tried has worked, so I'd probably raid the hair care section. I have a lot of split ends and have yet to find a product I really like, but I've heard good things about Shea Moisture, so I'd probably get some of their Yucca and Aloe Hair Thickening Growth Milk -- or if there was just some straight argan oil, I'd get that. And.... hm. Maybe a Tamagotchi from their toy aisle! I've been feeling nostalgic. If any was left on the card, I'd look for some lip balm in fun flavours like coconut or lemon.   Penzey's: I'm not much of a carnivore, so I wouldn't use their rubs or meat seasonings. I love curry, though, and would probably go for any of those blends. I bake a lot and would love some of their Vietnamese or China cinnamon and vanilla. They also have Charnushka (rye bread seeds), which I've always wanted to try. I am baking rye bread right now, actually!   Knitted Goods: I love knitted things! All fibers except mohair. I've been wanting to make a felted Gryffindor scarf forever but I'm afraid to felt, so I'll probably never work up the nerve (LOL SOME GRYFF I AM I KNOW). I love scarves of all kinds, especially big giant long ones, as well as fingerless gloves and wristwarmers. Hats and hairbands are okay but I usually need them to be either acrylic or lined because they make my head all itchy. I like bright colours -- deep greens and blues, oranges and golds, crimson and wine reds, especially in bold stripes or eyecatching patterns.   Tree Ornaments: Probably a bad idea. They would be claimed as cat toys the minute I got them out of the box... ::glares at cat, who is currently scaling a bookshelf::   Tim Tams. Yay or nay? YAAAAAAY. Original or Chewy Caramel, yum!   If you were my fox, would you like to receive some homemade goodies, or would you prefer that your goodies came from the store? I love homemade goodies and hope to send some to my bunny myself! Any treats are welcome, but homemade ones are always my preference.   Would any Bunny like to receive Holiday serving bowls, trays, platters etc...? Winter/Christmas or Thanksgiving/Fall themed? None for me, thanks. My current place is so small we don't even have a table, so not much entertaining here.   My lovely fluffy Snow Bunny, would you like a bodyscrub made by me? If so, what scent(s) would you like, if you had to think along the lines of essential oils? And would you prefer sugar or salt? A dryer scrub or one that's more oily/moist? That sounds fantastic. I'd love something warming, with ginger or pepper -- that or something clean and soothing, maybe with rosemary. Since winter's coming, probably sugar, and on the oily side.   Dear snow bunny, do you like candles? if yes, then what kind? scented (what scents), unscented, what colors, do you like them plain/painted on the outside/with decorations attached to the surface/sculpted? I love candles! Unscented tapers are great; we have a brass candlestick we use for reading and in the winter we go through tapers like crazy. Tea lights are also most welcome. As far as scented candles go, I like wintery ones (especially evergreen or peppermint) and hot chocolate. Jar candles are also great, since the other cat (NOT the one on the bookshelf) is a klutz and frequently singes his tail on tapers. Sigh. CATS.   Also what do you think of little soaps? I know most people don't use soaps nowadays but I love the chocolate/vanilla/cocoa/butter/sugar combo scents that I see at beauty stores. I'd give them a try!   Socks! Slippers! Do you love them or not really wear them? If you love them, do you also love Sock Dreams? Yes to socks! Not so much on slippers, but definitely socks. Big fan of knee/over the knee socks, which I love to layer under thick/fluffy anklet socks for SUPER WARM AWESOMENESS. Crazy patterns and stripes and argyle: big yes. I haven't shopped at Sock Dreams but they look great.   Cowl? Ooh. I tend to get claustrophobic with turtlenecks, but that looks nice and loose and I could control the tightness. My neck and back knot up in the cold and I can always use something to keep my muscles warm. Maybe in charcoal?   Talk to me of coffee. Whole bean? Ground? Flavored, not flavored? Decaf, whole caff? Favorite roasters? Drip, french press, keurig? BRING ON THE TEA? I, uh, have named my French Press. His name is Hervé, and I LUFF HIM. Whole bean, full caf -- though I make exceptions for flavoured blends I can't get whole (TJ's Pumpkin Spice, frex). I love spiced/holiday blends: gingerbread, eggnog, candy cane, ALL OF IT. For not-flavoured, I like Vienna roast -- dark enough to reduce acidity and bring out some caramel. For roasters, I love Satellite (NM chain, and I would kill or at least maim to be able to drink their iced Black Velvet again... I miss it so) and Intelligentsia, but it's always great fun trying local roasts from new places. I also love tea!   Who else here loves or would like to try Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics? If so, what would you like? None for me, thanks. I never really figured out how makeup works.   CocoaPink: Um. Everything? I'd especially love to try anything with Black Cat in the Pumpkin Patch, Green Tea and Mint, Blackberry Mist, or Full Moon.   Anybody into nail polish? Any color or formula preferences? I'd try some of the crackle kind, but I rarely use it and am not really much into it. When I wear it, I wear black or something neon.   If you found a $50 bill on the ground and were to place a Lab order, what would be in it? (And shipping is free through the magical BPAL unicorn!) All hail the BPALicorn! My collection's still primarily imps, so I think I'd upgrade my best-loved/most-used scents to big bottles. I find the Conjure Bag stuff pretty effective, so bottles of High John the Conqueror and Wolf's Heart, plus a bottle of No. 93 Engine, which I love for winter. The beeswax and lemon balm make it so sunny and warming, perfect for a cold grey day.   Holiday DVDs None I can think of.   Marvel or DC? Marvel, definitely. I like the X-Men, and Beast is my favourite (cat-version). I haven't got anywhere to put any more comix/paraphernalia at the moment, though, heh.   Lush? Any of their lip balms or bath bombs/bubble bars -- I've never tried any of either! I have and like a Therapy massage bar, but would love to try others -- particularly a Wiccy Magic Muscles, Hottie or Ego bar.   Honey/beeswax? Oh yes please! I LOVE varietal honeys (especially meadowfoam, but I want to TRY ALL THE HONEYS). Yes to beeswax, too! I'm not sure what I'd do with it but I've made candles before and I adore beeswax candles. That or I'd tint it for sealing letters! I love cosmetics and scents with beeswax in (from BPAL I love No. 93 Engine and the beeswax note is a big part of why). I'd take it as an awesome challenge   Trader Joe's? That's actually the grocery store closest to me at present, so I don't need anything in particular there.   If I were to place ONE LAST Weenie order, (uh, which I will) what would you want me to include for you? (presuming that is that the order can get here in time, bites nails)? If it's a TP order, I'd love to try some Samhain soap or a sample of one of the hair glosses (a decant or what-have-you). If from the Lab, well, my Weenie decants haven't arrived yet (although I hope they'll show up soon). I WANT TO TRY OCTOBER 2011, DAMNIT. But as far as GCs go I'd love more imps of Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo and High John the Conqueror, or imps of random scents I've not yet tried. TRY ALL THE THINGS is my motto.   Will you be away for any part of the round? Not for any great length of time -- maybe a day or two at Thanksgiving, but no longer than that.   Anyone else with an Etsy store and a member of Tradeaholics (or you could join) and interested in bartering for gifts for their bunny? I'll check out Tradeaholics when I get a chance!   What type of books do you like? Dying to read anything? Oh dear. I have SO MANY BOOKS. Seriously. They don't all fit in the apartment. There are things I want to read... but I probably shouldn't own them.   Rose/mastic flavored things? I would love to try mastic -- just the resin. I like rose-flavoured candies and other floral sweets (lavender, orange blossom, etc). When I've had Turkish Delight it's been the cheap kind and chocolate-covered and I didn't like it very much. It was so disappointing because I'd wanted to try some ever since reading The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. But I would try it again!   i live in the city of the chicken wing. if i were to send you something savory, what's your heat tolerance (or sweet and heat for that matter)? OM NOM NOM. I don't like things that are so hot I can't taste anything *but* heat, but spicy is good. I have a friend who once ate a thumb-sized glob of wasabi, straight, and who regularly dares people to make him the hottest possible wings and then complains and puts more hot sauce on them. I am not that kind of spicy-fan. But I like hot curries and green/red chile in the mid-hot range. I prefer savoury-hot to sweet-hot, but enjoy wasabi peas and things of that sort.   Paintbox Soapworks I would love to try some slip or goats-milk moisturiser. Yuletide Mariner, White Snow, Bright Snow, or This Charming Man.   If your fox/bunny were to gift you with a giftcard from anywhere, as in any store food wise, music wise etc. what giftcard would you like? ThinkGeek, LUSH, Paintbox, Sock Dreams. I love all those places but always kinda feel guilty just buying awesome stuff from there for no reason, heh. I love to be enabled!   If I were to send you chocolate is there anything I should avoid as in nuts, cherries etc.? Also, what are some of your favorite holiday candies? I love everything! I'm not particularly fond of cherry cordials or liqueur centres, and licorice I can take or leave. But any and everything else is splendid. Toffees/brittles/caramels with nuts are my favourites. For holiday-specific sweets: candy canes! I love them. I especially love King Leo peppermint sticks.   Does anything from FusionSweets interest you? ::drools on keyboard:: Oh. Oh my... I did not know about this shop. Wow. The Forgive Me I Have Sinned Dulche de Leche Coconut Macaroons, for starters. The Berlingots would be amazing -- probably the variety sampler since they ALL sound good. And *any* of the caramels, of course. Of those things I'm most curious about the Berlingots -- I love having a bunch of different flavours to try!   Interested in anything from the Elements and Artifacts Yule update? Probably too spendy for this swap, alas, but those YuleFrost Orb pendants are bloody gorgeous, particularly the Icebound... ::bites lip::   What was the best holiday present you ever got? When I was eight I got a world globe. Seriously, I loved that damn thing. I got A *BIKE* that year, a bitchin' purple Huffy with PINK TIRES and streamers and this pink-and-purple detachable handlebar pouch/fanny pack monstrosity that any self-respecting eight-year-old in the early 90s should have totally gone apeshit over.... and I was all MY GLOBE IS AWESOME, WHAT'S THAT I GOT A BIKE OH DON'T CURRRRR HEY DID YOU SEE MY RAD GLOBE? ...so yeah. Nerd. NERRRRD.   Anniversary Resurrection scent Oh gosh. I'm too much of a n00b, I think. I've trained myself not to spelunk through old reviews, for the most part, since I already covet so much, but it's for SCIENCE. Or for swapping, same principle. So let's see: I have an imp of Severin I'm scared to try in case I like it... if that came back I'd finally crack the thing open. I'm sad I never got the chance to try The Coil. I'm intrigued by March Hare, so I'd probably try a bottle of that if it came back. I love Death of Autumn and Howl in the Darkness.   Moxie Nouveau? Maybe Greensleeves or Girls with Cigars, but I like my scents dark and dirty and these seem a bit too sweet and demure. Candlemas sounds yummy... but there's tuberose. It would smell like Joyce's The Dead on me, and not in a good way -- in a decaying-pederast way. The ones that appeal to me most all have sneaky floral notes of doom in them. GET ALL THOSE FLOWERS OUT OF THERE DAMNIT.   Favourite colour God, I asked this one and I don't even know. LOTS.   Gemstone? Garnet is my birthstone. I like amber just because it's awesome and you can do science experiments with it (I'm a Faraday fangirl and I don't feel shame.) I love jade.   Favourite animal? Badgers and foxes and octopuses and axolotls.   Phobias? I'm terrified of wasps and bees. I flee them. Screaming and flailing.   Are you Nano-ing this month, bunny? If so, how would you feel about merch/donations to the cause? In theory, but, uh, I sort of haven't exactly quite started yet. Sort of thing. I probably wouldn't be much into merch, because then I'd look at it and go OH GOD I FAIL.   Do you like/need boxes for perfume/knicknacks? I have eleventy-jillion imps and NO serious containment system, so definitely! Right now they're living in small jam jars in my big cigar box and I can never see what any of them are. Something that would let me organise them and see their labels would be great.   Coffee or tea? With caffeine or without? Flavors (if so, what?) or no? Whole bean/ground/loose leaf/bags? PLEASE TO BE SENDING ME ALL OF YOUR CAFFEINATED LIQUIDS THANK YOU YES. I love everything! Except licorice tea. Blech. Coffee: preferably whole-bean, unless it's yummy flavoured coffee. I tend to use tea bags more frequently than looseleaf teas, but that's just cos I'm lazy and no longer live near a good loose-tea shop -- also I could use a new tea-ball, now that I think about it. But try me on anything! Really. Especially florals or mate blends. I love mate and used to have a bombilla and gourd but then my gourd cracked and I lost my bombilla and now I am sad.   Do you have a strong preference for any sort of bath and body product brands (i.e. etailer/etsy type cos, department store/specialty brands like Lush) or are you cool with anything that doesn't smell like Bunnybane? Still kind of a scent-n00b and I haven't tried a lot of things. The only major brand I have really tried and like is Lush -- in my formative years I used waaaaaaay too much B&BW antibacterial hand gel and still haven't quite recovered my stomach for their scents. I have ethical issues with Burt's Bees after the Clorox buyout. Natural/relatively-chemical-free products are my preference, but my experience is limited (haven't even tried anything from the Trading Post yet!) so I'm open to trying new things.   A question: reveal, yes or no? I plan to! And I would love to know my fox's identity.   Any favorite cuddly characters? I especially love cute-monster designs, like fluffy Cthulus, Deth P Sun's stuff, and Domo-kun (I have a giant plushie Domo and also have a Domo hat though from Sanrio my favourite is Badtz-Maru). I'm totally asking my family for a Squishable Worrible for Christmas this year even though I have nowhere to put him in my plushie-filled bedroom because I love Andrew Bell. Love him. He is awesome.   Charity gifts? Either fair-trade type stuff, or virtual type gifts, like vaccinations or school supplies being bought on your behalf, or something along those lines? I approve! Especially fair-trade stuff or pro-animal charities.   Bunny, are you interested in tarts from Two Timing Tart? What scents, if any, are you interested in? ARGH SO MUCH ENABLEMENT. I love it, though. I'd be interested in any! Wench and Kitchen Alchemy look yummy, I'd love the Bamboo/Yuzu or Rice/Honey experimental, and all of the Burlesques. Going by notes I'd probably like Sex Kitten best but I can always use more Pretty Boys in Eyeliner in my life, oh yes I can. I bet they smell nice too   BPTP candles? I wish they weren't so limited! The Samhain sounds interesting but I'm holding out for Yule. I love winter scents for candles.   Do you need any holiday recipies? Is there something in particular that you'd like baked or made for you? I tend to BAKE ALL THE THINGS this time of year, but I'm a failure at candymaking, so I'd love your successful candy recipes! Or just the candy. I also am in need of good recipes for pfeffernusse and mexican wedding cookies. Once, when I was small, I had these amazing creamy meringue cookies -- they weren't exactly meringue, because they were a different texture, but they were white like meringue, and shaped like Cs, and sweet and crispy and melted on the tongue. They were amazing and I have no idea what they are called but if you know what they are and could tell me or bake me some I'd love you forever. I really love different types of traditional cookies and love expanding my collection of recipes. Also: fruitcake! I really, truly like it. Green cherries give me the creeps, though, and I like it to be heavy on cake and light on fruit.   Does anyone have issues with gently used things like books, etc.? Not at all! Though, again, nowhere to put them. Seriously, I have at least four boxes of books in another state, probably more, plus FIVE FULL CASES (big five-shelf ones!) and there are still books all over the floor. Let's not even talk about the boxes of comix. Yeeeeah.   Are you a big ol' nerd for any particular subject? Science, math, linguistics, etc? Or particular authors/fandoms? My nerdly loves are for biology, chemistry, electromagnetics (I ADORE FARADAY AND SOMEDAY I WILL MARRY HIM) and particle physics. I'm also into social science/cultural studies and would make an exception from my Please No Books stance for books from Frankfurt School thinkers like Adorno and Horkheimer or media studies writers like McLuhan.   Fandom-wise, my big love right now is Doctor Who -- I was actually kind of afraid to watch it earlier because I saw some Third Doctor episodes when I was small and was scarred by them. ALIEN EGGS ARE TERRIFYING TO ME KTHX -- but now I am in love with Matt Smith. Also into Harry Potter (Gryffinpuffs represent) and currently rewatching The X-Files (and the first episode of S4 is just as terrifying to me now as it was when aired because it manages to combine two of my most intense phobias into ONE TERRIFYING PACKAGE: SMALLPOX DEATH-BEES). And BtVS and Firefly will always have places in my heart.   Lemon? Yum! I don't really care for curd -- texture thing, I guess -- but marmalade is love, and so are baked goods/candies.   Pink? Sure. Brighter/darker pinks preferred for wearables, as pale pink does icky things with my complexion.   But do you really want all 12 feet of the Tom Baker scarf? OMG YES. YES I DO. I DO WANT ALL OF THE SCARF. I'm 5'4". So, to speak reasonably, I guess I wouldn't. BUT IN ACTUALITY I DO.   Fingerless or full mitts? Fingerless mittens are the greatest of mittens! I wear fingerless gloves/mitts constantly in winter and always need more.   Mugs? I'm always on the lookout for the perfect mug. I like larger-than-8oz mugs, especially nerdy mugs (i.e. thinkgeek, topatoco, engrish.com and the like). I used to have a clear glass mug from despair.com with a dividing line and the text 'This Mug Is Now Half-Empty'

Winter Fun Swap Questions

1. $20 in Walgreens- In reality probably a prescription but ok, If I'm supposed to blow it on myself? Maybe some weird color sinful nailpolish for the toes, a paperback (some kind of forensic crime stuff like Patricia Cornwell, Jonathan Kellerman, Dean Koontz maybe). tea if they had something interesting, ans a diet coke with lime.     2. knitting? No thank you anyway unless it is a mini afghan or blanket to cover up with while sitting on the sofa but that is too big of a project. If someone is really ambitious, the colors would be like chocolate brown beige and green or something like that.   Spices, yes if it is something really unique, but I have a very small kitchen and cupboards unfortunately. 4. Mug? No thanks I am all set (see above small kitchen issue)   5. Regional food or drink? YES, I can't think of anything specific but I love trying new things and would love something that is special in my foxes area. Course if I fell in love with it, I might bug you to get me more -I'd pay for it of course. I do love Good Earth tea in decaf original and sometimes I can't buy it around here.   6. Christmas tree- Yes I have an artificial one because I don't like to kill trees to make them an adornment, I think they look perfectly lovely outside adorning nature like they are supposed to :hippie:   Well back to the fake tree. I am Jewish and my husband and step daughter are Catholic so its a mix I have lots of blue and silver ornaments plus the usual Christmas stuff. Would I like an ornament from my fox? Yes, especially if he or she were crafty and made it for me.   7. Am I squicked out by homemade goodies? No, I can't actually see if your kitchen is filthy , so it doesn't bother me. Just kidding. No I buy edibles from etsy too so it is cool, BUT I am really seriously trying to lose weight so if it were like a fat free baked good full of flax seed or something, or tea or coffee. I may have small kitchen cupboards but they are stuffed with coffee and tea Love love love. So that might be a better "Sweet treat" for me. See below re: types   8. Holiday serving bowls, platters etc. Yeah sure and I hope my bunny wants some too cuz I know where to get some really nice ones.   9. Handmade sugar scrub-Sure. I do make them myself but would still love something my fox gave me, I do not like them very oily though. The ones I make are foaming type, I don't like greasy ones.   10. Candles-Oh sure or tarts. Bath and Body works always has nice holiday scents and those cute little minis but I burn tarts alot too. I also make them out of BPAL-YUM   11. Soap-Yeah I make that too-pretty crafty I am, but if you make your own I would love to try it. I am also getting hooked on villianess-my favorite is the bathory one.   12. Socks/Slippers Socks yes but I have a whole drawer full. Slippers no. Sock dreams. Not so much my legs are pretty um thick and they dont always fit so well.   13. I love coffee (not decaf) in flavors like chocolate raspberry, hazelnut, caramel, oh god just about any flavor EXCEPT the liquor flavored ones like Irish Cream-Gross   Tea-herbal, fruit tisanes, and Rooibos. Black and green tea makes me nauseous for some odd reason. White tea to me has no flavor I actually have tea on my BPAL wishlist. I Adore tea   Actually my 3 favorite beverages are tea coffee and water.   14. Nailpolish-Well not necessary I have tons of colors for my toes and I have been using the Red Carpet Manicure Gel System from Ulta and the polishes are like $10 and I wouldn't expect anyone to spend that much. Sally's also has a system and theirs are even more expensive.   15. Obsessive Compulsive cosmetics-Love the name but am not even going to look because I have enough makeup to last the rest of my life-no lie.   16. Cocoa Pink-yes I am sure I could find stuff to love there. This forum keeps enabling new addictions in me.   17. What if I found $50 on the floor and had to make a lab order? Well I kinda did. I just sold some stuff that was cluttering up the closet and made $50. I am going to order Calavera Catrina. Maybe I would add a back up of October 2011-lovely. Oh or BPTP UGH massage oil ,   18. DVDs? No, Only ones I would love are blueray 3D, course I don't expect my fox to buy me one of those they are so expensive but sometimes a DVD comes with both and if you don't have a 3D TV, well then I wouldn't say no , Especially to Disney ones and Horror     19. LUSH-not so overly impressed with them, I am more of a Villianess girl.   20. Paintbox Soapworks-maybe I would have to look at the scents. Ok I looked and bought see below   21. Kids? Favorite animal? Well I guess there are categories to live with and share my home-cats hands down. I have a wonderful cat and my step daughter has a stoooooopid dog who is right now as we speak chewing on the wall.   to look at-bluebirds, ducks, baby anythings, owls, squirrels and chipmunks   to touch-bunnies, nothing is as soft as a bunny but they can be so fraidy of people   AND goats, I love goats and when I retire and move to Cuba, I am going to have a goat and milk it and make cheese. That is my retirement plan. and no I'm not kidding.   37.Phobias? Umm kind of a weird question, no? If I say yes, are you going to get me a gift certificate for therapy? Paperbackswap is an awesome website!!!   44. Nerd? What subject? YESSS I am a total nerd anyway. Science is fascinating, but really anything to do with my work, like psychiatry, psychology is awesome. I am especially into reading autobiographies of persons with mental illness. Right now I am reading "Nowhere Near Normal" by Traci Foust, which is an awesomely hilarious book for anyone to read.   45. BPTP candles? Oh God, I just need to stay away from there too, since I belong to team Spend All Money   46. Lemon? Yes love lemon although not sure what you do with lemon curd? Put on toast? Lemon marmelade sounds delicious. 47. Pink? No, GREEN   48. Oils and vinegar? no thanks, I have a few. 49. Calendar-Nah In my job we have lots of funeral home people always giving them to us   50.Holiday cookies? Well I always think of sugar and gingerbread or molasses. Someone mentioned cardamom, that sounds great. I am not big on anise. Last year I made some kind of cranberry orange that were good. I usually make sugar cookies with my step daughter-With LOTS of sprinkles   51. Mittens? Oh, please no mittens   52. Crafty pursuits. Well yes, although I have so many types of crafts going on that my office looks like a Michaels warehouse. I have never met a craft I didn't like (ok knitting and crocheting because I cannot get the hang of it) I am terrible because I see things at crafts shows and examine them so I can go home and figure out how to make them. I had to give up making cold process soap because I moved to a smaller house.   There are 2 things I was interested in trying.   Felting-but I don't know how hard it is, if it is really hard then forget it. (and I think it is)   Paper mache or clay-I am interesting in making birds like the ones on my Etsy wishlist, haven't had time to explore that-if my fox were to find any instructions or tutorials that would be cool as hell   53. Chocolate? I am really trying to be good and diet, but if you must, the darker the better   54. Coin purses? I already have a few and never use them so no thanks   55. Yules? Luckily not much interested me. I did buy a bottle of A Wonderful Light.   more craft stuff--Someone also mentioned terrariums-would love to make a moss terrarium too. I keep trying to swap for one on Etsy but the terrarium people don't want my stuff   56, Soap Dish-yessss maybe something bamboo or anything, the kind that drains the soap 57. Harry Potter? NOOOOOOO   58. Knitted? Again only like an afghan or lap blanket. too hot for anything else   November 12th   chile, yay or nay? (Example: I had a delicious dark chocolate bar the other day that had dried cherries and red chile....YUM! There are local cookies here that are shortbread type with chile. And of course, in NM we are famous for our chile ristras which are mostly decorative (though usually you could use the dried chiles if you wanted to).) I like spicy so I would try it sure November 11th   Let's talk about fruit! Do you like dried fruit or h ate it? Like some but not others? I love dried fruits all except Mango, the less sugar the better, but YUM   How do you feel about cherries? Prefer the sweet or tart versions? Dried? Jam? Salsa? Hot sauce? BBQ sauce? I like cherries both sweet and tart and dried and Jam Any Jam, hot sauce yes, BBQ so so   What is your general philosophy about patterns for accessories such as socks, scarves, and tights? Do you like solids? Stripes? Polka dots? Weird patterns like harlequin-type stuff? Any of the above? Um socks like grey or black, tights would have to be for women with extra huge thighs   November 10th     Are there any Yules from *PAST* years that you're interested in trying? Including past winter inquisitions? Gingerbread Poppet   ovember 9th   Sooo. Yules. Those just happened. What are you interested in, Bunny? Wedding ceremony draft

INTRODUCTION Family and friends, we are gathered here not to witness the beginning of what will be, but rather what already is. We celebrate with Jane and Bill the wondrous and joyful occurrence that has already taken place in their lives, their love for each other.   Jane and Bill, your bond was first formed when the two of you chose to combine your separate lives into one. You have made a mutual commitment to love each other in an atmosphere of care and consideration and respect. You are partners in life, working together to bring out the best in each other, and for each other, and striving to be the most you can. This ceremony marks the moment when the relationship you have been creating gains a new, richer meaning.   Your shared experiences have brought you together and forged this bond of love. From this day onward you will come closer together than ever before. You will love one another for better and for worse, in sickness and in health. At the same time your love will give you the strength to stand apart, to seek out your unique destinies, to make your special contribution to the world.   Treat yourselves and each other with respect, and remind yourselves often of what brought you together. Take responsibility for making each other feel safe, and give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness and kindness that your connection deserves. When frustration, difficulties, and fear assail your relationship, as they threaten all relationships at some time or another, remember to focus on what is right between you, not only the part that seems wrong. In this way, you can ride out the storms when clouds hide the face of the sun in your lives – remembering that even if you lose sight of it for a moment, the sun is still there.   May you always be able to talk things over, to confide in each other, to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together, and to share moments of quiet and peace when the day is done. May your marriage be a place in which you share your joys so that they may be multiplied and your pain so that it may be divided. May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness and a home of warmth and understanding.   (pause)   There are loved ones who are unable to be here today. Jane and Bill, do not be sorrowful, for you know all those who love you and ever have loved you are here with you in spirit. Let’s take a moment to remember the special loved ones whose presence is missed today.   (pause)   BLESSING As they prepare to join their lives, it’s important to understand that everyone present has played a part in shaping the characters of Jane & Bill, and will play a vital role in their continuing lives. And thus we are here not only to witness their vows to each other, but also bestow upon them our blessing.   Will you, the family and friends of Jane and Bill, pledge to give them your continuing support, your love and your understanding as they work to build a happy and enduring marriage? If so, please say, “We will.”   VOWS Jane and Bill, you are different people today than when you met, and years from now you be different still. Do you both, before these witnesses, pledge to do all in your power to make this a happy and enduring union? Jane and Bill: We do. I invite you now to make your promises to one another: (Bill and Jane to write)   UNITY CANDLE At this time Jane and Bill will commemorate their marriage by lighting a Unity candle. The two smaller candles were lit by their mothers to represent their lives to this moment. Bill and Jane, please take the candle symbolizing your individual life, and together light the center candle of your union. (Place the tapers back into their holders—join hands and remain near the candles) As this new flame burns undivided, so shall your lives now be one. From now on your thoughts will be for each other rather than just your individual selves. Your plans will be mutual, your joys and sorrows both will be shared alike.   Although you are now entering into a marriage relationship, you do not, however, lose your personal identity. Therefore all three candles remain glowing. The individual candles represent all that makes each of you the wonderful and unique person the other admires and respects. The Unity candle in the center symbolizes the joining of your lives, families, and friends, as well as your shining commitment to each other, and to a lasting and loving marriage.   RINGS The vows you’ve made are invisible; the love you feel is invisible, too. But rings are visible, material signs of these inward ties. They are tokens of the growing relationship you have come here to celebrate and confirm. (Give Bill Jane’s ring) Bill: Take this ring as a sign of my love and as a symbol of all that we share. May it remind you always of this day, and that you are surrounded by my enduring love. (Give Jane Bill’s ring) Jane: Take this ring as a sign of my love and as a symbol of all that we share. May it remind you always of this day, and that you are surrounded by my enduring love.   CLOSING Bill and Jane, may you always need one another, not to fill an emptiness, but to help each other know your fullness. May you want one another, but not out of lack. May you embrace one another, but not constrain one another. May you succeed in all important ways with each other, and not fail in the little graces. May you have happiness, and may you find it in making one another happy. May you have love, and may you find it in loving one another. Jane and Bill, as you join hands right now and look into one another’s eyes, let it be known that you are joined, body and soul in this lifetime. You may now seal this ceremony with a kiss. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to present to you Jane and Bill (Last Name)

More questions answered

I'm sure you're getting sick of reading about me witch, but I'm at work and bored...   Do you need any winter wear, witchee? It’s already gotten to feel like winter here in my part of the world! I’ve noticed that I really need some new slippers and new gloves/mittens. In both cases I’m much more interested in how warm they are than how cute they are, if they are both, than that’s an awesome plus.   I've read something about a Event Exclusive called Pumpkin Hard Candy (if someone knows the details, shout it out because I am still searching). Are you interested in this scent? How desperate are you for it? I tend to do very well with Pumpkin scents so I would love to try it, but nothing I’m dying to have, either.   Going back to the question about winter wear, are there any colors you would prefer not to have? I have two winter coats that I wear most of the time. My casual one is red and black, and my dressier one is brown. Any colors that go with either of those is fine, The only color that I can think of right off hand that I would hate is a mustard yellow.   Do you like scary books? What's the best/scariest thing you've ever read? NOPE! Real life is scary enough. I like to read to escape and be happy.   So I was at Uwajimaya the other day and saw Earl Grey Tea Chocolate and Cinnamon Chocolate. If you were my Witchee, would you be interested in trying something like that? Maybe. I once had a witch who sent me bacon chocolate, and that was surprisingly good. I like chocolate, but I’m not dying to try fancy or strange chocolates, either.

What's the best/scariest thing you've ever read?   Sometimes. I absolutely loved things like the fear street and christopher pike books as well as the “scary stories to tell in the dark” as a child. Now-a-days I lean more towards supernatural horror, or mystery suspense than pure horror.   October 13th   Are you interested in anything in the latest round of Lab auctions on eBay?   Not I said the cat. Cool, good cause, but not for me. I have way more black lace than I need haha.   What favorite song(s) would you think would translate into a cool or unique scent?   Ah, my mind is not creative in this way. …Dunno.   Anyone interested in VApothecary's Halloween update?   Zombie sounds kinda cool… Widow maybe, even though I hate spideys. Pumpkin bear sounds kinda nice. I’m not *drawn* to anything, but those are neat.   Interested in anything from the Beaver Moon Lunacy update?   I’d really love to try the beaver moon this round.   I sent you with $20 into a drugstore/Walmart (nothing too fancy/imported/expensive, just your average selection), and you are restricted only to the candy aisle. What would you blow it on?   Candy apple lolipops. Mike and Ike’s. Rittersport. Toblerone. Swedish fish.   October 11th   What is your favorite kind of cookie?   Mmm. I love all kinds of cookies. I REALLY love the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies at Potbelly’s. My husband luffs white chocolate macadamia nut.   How many boxes are you hoping for?   As many as my witch deems needed  I care more about my witch’s care for me than stuff amounts.   How do you feel about loose leaf tea in baggies? I mean, I have a TON of loose leaf, would it be okay if I send you samples in some zip lock baggies? Or is that something that would squick you out?   I don’t have a tea ball, is my only drawback. Otherwise, sure, as long as handled cleanly.   How would you feel about getting a custom poster with your favorite quote on it and some cool graphics? I'm an architecture student and can print posters (provided I make them) at pretty much any size using Adobe Illustrator at a low price. It is the only form of creativity besides writing that I actually do okay at. It allows me to take something and make it into something else. It is like magic.   If you're the MMU type of Witchee, what Geek Chic Cosmetics tickle your fancy?   Ehhh? What is MMU? However, from the vendor, the portals eyeshadow is awesome… and the 10 man raid! It's so etherial that I feel like wearing it on non-special days is abusing it. Eat Me and BB are my most commonly worn things.

Switch Witch catch-up questions September 30-October 13

September 30th   Witchee, would you like anything from this particular Haunt update? I already snapped up all I could get. Unfortunately, I missed out on the Corsair soap and the Witchery solid perfume, but that’s life. And hopefully I’ll be able to get the Corsair soap at the next Haunt update!   Who's interested in Halloween: Montreal? It sounds like it could be nice, if it truly does smell like a crisp Halloween night, but those types of scents never seem to live up to their description on my skin.   You get a package in the mail containing 3 things you have really wanted more than anything else you've mentioned so far in this thread. (they are all reasonably priced of course! ~$20 or less apiece). What are they? 1. Some bars of Corsair soap. I missed out during the Haunt sale. I had 5 bars in my cart, and when I went to check out, they were no longer available. Argh! And I didn't even get near the Lavender Marshmallow whipped butter my cousin wanted me to order for her - it was only the 2nd thing I tried to put in my cart, and it was already unavailable. 2. Fudge! 3. A cute amigurumi. (Sorry, I know technically I have mentioned the last two in this thread or in my answers already, but I couldn't think of anything new right now! ) And really, I'd be excited to get anything! A surprise card or a gift for no occasion, right out of the blue - what could be better?!?   how do you feel about hemp? jewelry, soap, etc? I'm not a fan, especially not of hemp jewelry.   Is there a magazine that you DON'T read because you can't find it near you, but wish you could? Not that I can think of. I'm going to have to hit up Barnes & Noble instead of Borders to get Gothic Beauty from now on, but at least I can still find it.   Describe your sense of humour. Mostly sarcastic. I also derive a fair amount of humour from exaggerating the down side of things – my cousin and I can go for hours laughing hysterically about how much our lives suck. I find that optimistic sorts of people and those who always want to look on the bright side really don’t appreciate that side of my sense of humour. They mistake it for being depressing, when it’s the exact opposite for me. According to that test that was linked, I fall into “The Wit” category, with 52% dark, 27% spontaneous, and 11% vulgar. But since in many cases I was choosing the least un-funny option out of a bunch of bad options, I can’t really say much good about that test.   Do you like reusable grocery bags? If so, do you like the kind that fold up (ie Chico Bags?) Yes! I use reusable bags all the time when shopping – I have a pile of them in my car. I’d love a bag that I could fold up small enough to store in my purse, or a mesh bag for fruit or veggies.   I'm about to make an order from Sephora (nothing off of my wishlist, witch, so don't worry about that). Is there anything for you that you would like to accompany my order, if you're my witchee? I think all the Sephora things I’m most interested in are already on one of my Amazon wishlists. But I wouldn’t want my witch to worry about tacking stuff for me on to an order, because I’m probably going to go ahead and pick up what I want at the next Sephora Friends & Family sale.   October 1st   Is there anything you either didn't like or had never heard of that you're now curious to try thanks to the discussion in this thread?   Reveal? I’m planning to; I just hope my witchee won’t be disappointed with me! And I hope that my witch reveals, too, because my witch seems really cool and I’d like to know who s/he is!   Would you be interested in the #occupywallstreet scent? I’ve been toying with the idea of ordering it, more because I support the cause than because I need another patchouli-heavy blend. I was going to order a bottle for me and one for my witchee, but since it turns out that my witchee doesn’t need it, I haven’t done anything about getting my own bottle yet.   Do Paintbox Soapworks' Goat's Milk Hand and Body Creams sound like something you'd like to try? I already have more hand and body creams than I’ll ever be able to use up!   October 2nd   Who likes silly items from Archie McPhee??? I saw the Oh No… Zombies! board game at a local store and was very interested, but passed on buying it because I can’t imagine having much luck trying to get anyone to play it with me. I need to make some friends who think it would be fun to play board games about surviving zombies! The same store also had the octopus mug, which was kind of cute. The Cthulhu water bottle looks kind of cool, as do the Cthulhu mints and Death mints. I have two of the Bone Chillers ice cube trays, and I like those a lot. I guess I like the items I can actually use, and I’m not really too excited about the silly little knick-knack-y or kitschy/tacky sorts of items that would just sit around and gather dust.   Nocturne Alchemy's NAlloween Pt. 2 update is live here! (And for a few days, last month's update too.) What do you want? I haven’t looked so that I won’t be tempted to add a new obsession to my already lengthy list of obsessions!   What are you drooling over from the Sock Dreams Halloween stuff? Again, I haven’t looked so I won’t be tempted.   Luck charms? I don’t really carry around any lucky charms, but I’m not opposed to them. I do have a Minneapolis bus token from my first solo vacation, to remind me that I can overcome my intimidation and shyness and do things on my own and have a great time, but I don’t really carry it around with me – I used to wear it on a chain sometimes, but now it mostly just sits in my jewelry box instead. Of course, I love maneki neko / lucky cats and have about half-a-dozen of them scattered around my house.   For those of you that like candles, do you like stuff from Yankee Candle? And if you had to choose, tarts or candles? I tend not to buy Yankee Candles, because I prefer to buy from independent sellers or smaller businesses, but I don’t have anything against them. I’d always choose candles over tarts, because they’re easier for me to use, but I do have a tart burner if needed.   Is there a movie you want so badly that you don’t own now? I guess if I wanted it terribly badly I’d have already bought it, but I’d really love to own Hal Hartley’s “Trust.” I have it on VHS, but I’d really like to get it on DVD eventually.   Is there a song on Itunes that you haven’t downloaded yet? Nope. I have a fair amount of money in my iTunes account thanks to gift cards from family, so whenever I want something, I just go ahead and download it right away.   Is there a rare book you’ve always wanted? I’d like to get volume 1 of the Robert Bloch trilogy (“The Lost Bloch”) that Subterranean Press put out a number of years ago (it’s on my Amazon wishlist), but I’ve managed to live without it so far, so going without for a few more years won’t hurt me.   Is there anything you want to buy yourself but have been too embarrassed (R rated or pg)? Not that I can think of.   Have you seen the Lush holiday update? Do you like the look of anything from there? I’m not really a Lush fan, so I haven’t bothered to look.   if you were my witchee, would you want some of my hot nuts my candied nuts my nuts covered in butter and brown sugar candied walnuts? No thank you, I don’t really like walnuts. I like cinnamon almonds quite a lot, but don’t really eat any other candied nuts.   October 3rd   Does anyone else like collector Barbies? I do! I have three collector Barbies: Autumn in Paris Barbie; Barbie and The Tale of Peter Rabbit; and Romantic Interlude Barbie, because at the time I just couldn’t resist the outfits. I still love them, but I don’t really have a place to display them, so they’re tucked away in drawers in the spare bedroom. Being that that’s the case, I don’t shop for any more, but if I saw the Barbie as Athena at a decent price somewhere (highly unlikely, since the original price is listed as $100! ), I might not be able to resist picking that one up, too.   What small everyday items would you like, that you keep forgetting to get? Nothing comes to mind – I guess that’s why I keep forgetting! I try to write things down on a shopping list as I remember them, so I can pick them up on my next shopping trip.   Tarot I like tarot decks! I don’t read tarot cards, although I’d like to learn how to some day, so right now I just collect decks for the pictures or because they were gifts. I have the Halloween Tarot set, two different manga tarot decks (Llewellyn’s and Selena Lin’s), and a Vampire Knight tarot entirely in Japanese. I also have some Oracle decks: Lucy Cavendish’s Oracle of Shadows & Light illustrated by Jasmin Becket-Griffith; Lucy’s Magical Spell cards deck; and Doreen Virtue’s Messages From Your Angels and Goddess Guidance decks. I’d like to get the Necronomicon Tarot deck someday. I like the idea of having someone do a general tarot reading for me, too. I don’t really have any particular questions I need answered, but if someone could do just a very general reading for me, I think that’d be fun. I have a good friend who does card and psychic readings as a business, but I always feel weird thinking about asking her to do one for me, both because she knows me so well and because it’s a business for her, not a hobby.   Tell me about something you like, and why you like it. I like so many things, and for so many reasons! I can’t think of one in particular to talk about!   If you're the MMU type of Witchee, what Geek Chic Cosmetics tickle your fancy? My standard answer – I didn’t look because I don’t want to be tempted!   Would any witchees be interested in Quinn Popcorn? None of their flavors really grab my interest.   October 5th   Are there any DIY / Crafty / Free / Budget items you'd love to get but haven't noted yet? (Or, maybe you'd just like to emphasize something you may have only noted in passing?) I think I’ve already mentioned most of the crafty stuff I’d be interested in. If you have access to any cool or cute cross-stitch patterns, I’d be happy to get a copy, or if you’re good with a craft knife, I’d love some glass etching stencils. (Right now I’m using craft punches on clear ConTact paper to make stencils, so it’d be really nice to get something that would let me create a slightly more elaborate design!)   Do you own a DSLR camera? Are you interested in a minky camera strap like these? What about anything from Photojojo? Nope.     Is anybody else into film photography? Interested in receiving film, supplies, etc from Lomography? My beloved film camera recently gave up the ghost, so I guess I’m stuck moving to digital for now. If I ever had oodles of extra money, I’d probably get a really good film camera with a great telephoto lens for photographing wildlife, but for now, I’ll be content with my little digital camera, so no, I don’t need any film photography supplies.   Are you musically inclined? Do you play an instrument or sing? If so, what? No, unfortunately. I love music, but I have absolutely no aptitude for it.   October 6th   Do you like liquorice? If so, hard or soft? Sweet or salt? Normally salted or so salt it pulls your face into a fishy shape? And which shapes do you like? I do like liquorice! I just finished off a bag of Panda soft black liquorice, and it was delicious. I used to love Switzer’s black and red licorices, but haven’t been able to get it for decades now. I did some searching a year or so back and found out that they’ve brought it back in some areas, but apparently the new stuff is nowhere near the old version, so I haven’t even bothered to try to get some. I don’t like the salty versions at all. I like all sorts of cute shapes, but since the shaped ones are usually hard, they never taste as good as they look.   Mac using witchees, what computers do you use? What peripherals/accessories do you have and what would you LIKE to have? What do you use your computer for? I have a desktop Mac with the basic accessories, and I don’t really need anything else. I mostly only use my personal computer for email, Internet shopping, and surfing the Web, so I’m already all set for that.   Do you like listening to audiobooks? Would you like to receive one, and if you would, what sort of audiobook would you like--or is there a particular audiobook you've been meaning to get? Not really. If I’m going to take the time to listen to something, it’s going to be music, not a book.   October 9th   Is there anything you would want from NYCC, something you'd like your witch to ask me to pick up? I didn’t even look because I didn’t want to be disappointed that I wasn’t going.   The best thing I ever ate...: I couldn’t possibly answer this. My memory doesn’t hold on to things like that, unfortunately. I have good short-term memory that let me do very well on tests when I was in school, but once the test was over, I never could retain the information. I think it’s only gotten worse over the years, too. I just don’t retain things long-term, and things all blur together in my mind over time.   October 11th   What is your favorite kind of cookie? My favorite kind depends on my mood at the time, but I like snickerdoodles, plain oatmeal (no raisins, no chocolate chips, etc.), peanut butter, and chocolate chip.   How many boxes are you hoping for? I was hoping to be lucky enough to get something mid-way through in addition to something at the end, and since I’ve already gotten two packages, I’ve already gotten more than I was hoping for! Thank you, my Witch!   How do you feel about loose leaf tea in baggies? I mean, I have a TON of loose leaf, would it be okay if I send you samples in some zip lock baggies? Or is that something that would squick you out? I’d be fine with that!   How would you feel about getting a custom poster with your favorite quote on it and some cool graphics? I'm an architecture student and can print posters (provided I make them) at pretty much any size using Adobe Illustrator at a low price. Also if you would be interested in this, what quotes would you like? I can’t really think of any quote dear enough to me that I’d want a poster of it.   October 13th   Are you interested in anything in the latest round of Lab auctions on eBay? I’d like to know what Romanti Goth smells like, but it’s already way too expensive for something that I don’t already know that I love. Same thing with Needlework and Gun Moll. I’d like to have some Hanami just for the name, but again, without knowing in advance how I’d like the scent, I would never bid on it. Everything else I’d be interested in I already have. Midway is one of my top 5 BPALs, but since I already have a couple of back-up bottles of that one, I’ll leave it for someone else   What favorite song(s) would you think would translate into a cool or unique scent? I can’t think of any favorite songs that I can imagine translating into scent. One of my very favorite songs is Senses Fail’s “Let It Enfold You” (please don’t judge! ), but I don’t really see much in the song that lends itself to becoming a nice scent.   Anyone interested in VApothecary's Halloween update? I haven’t even looked.   Interested in anything from the Beaver Moon Lunacy update? Batty, because I love bats! And I’d like to be able to get just an imp or half-imp of Lady Death: Savage and Halloween: Montreal, just to see what they’re like.   I sent you with $20 into a drugstore/Walmart (nothing too fancy/imported/expensive, just your average selection), and you are restricted only to the candy aisle. What would you blow it on? Cadbury dairy milk bars, Reese’s peanut butter pumpkins, a couple of Peppermint Batties, Brach’s Milk Maid caramel apple candy corn, and maybe some Smarties or SweeTarts or Chuckles.

And again, Autumn SW '11

October 14th   Do you like scary books? What's the best/scariest thing you've ever read?   Not really, no.   October 13th   Are you interested in anything in the latest round of Lab auctions on eBay?   Nothing reasonable, that's for frickin' sure.   What favorite song(s) would you think would translate into a cool or unique scent?   California Dreamin' by the Mamas and the Papas (brown leaves, the heavy scent of rain, a little church incense and dust, and under all of it something warm and clean/comforting).   Anyone interested in VApothecary's Halloween update?   Nope.   Interested in anything from the Beaver Moon Lunacy update?   Nope.   I sent you with $20 into a drugstore/Walmart (nothing too fancy/imported/expensive, just your average selection), and you are restricted only to the candy aisle. What would you blow it on?   Andes mints. 13 packages of them, apparently.   October 11th   What is your favorite kind of cookie?   Triple chocolate. My fiance makes them sometimes. I call them orgasm cookies.   How many boxes are you hoping for?   However many you send me.   How do you feel about loose leaf tea in baggies? I mean, I have a TON of loose leaf, would it be okay if I send you samples in some zip lock baggies? Or is that something that would squick you out?   I do like tea.   How would you feel about getting a custom poster with your favorite quote on it and some cool graphics? I'm an architecture student and can print posters (provided I make them) at pretty much any size using Adobe Illustrator at a low price. Also if you would be interested in this, what quotes would you like?   That would be awesome.   Um   Favorite quote.   I have some, but it's hard to remember them on demand.     October 9th   Is there anything you would want from NYCC, something you'd like your witch to ask me to pick up?   Nah.   The best thing I ever ate...:   Oh, god. The first time I had Daniel (my fiance)'s roast chicken with the potatoes that sit under the chicken as it roasts and get covered in chicken fat. SO AMAZING. SO TERRIBLE FOR YOU.   October 6th   Do you like liquorice? If so, hard or soft? Sweet or salt? Normally salted or so salt it pulls your face into a fishy shape? And which shapes do you like?   I like black licorice. I had no idea it came in so many choices.   Mac using witchees, what computers do you use? What peripherals/accessories do you have and what would you LIKE to have? What do you use your computer for?   I have a mac that I use for stuff at home. If I ended up with accessories, that would be cool. But I'm a bit "eh" about it -- like, at some point I'll probably get a mouse but ....   Do you like listening to audiobooks? Would you like to receive one, and if you would, what sort of audiobook would you like--or is there a particular audiobook you've been meaning to get?   I do like them, I really liked John Hodgeman's More Information Than You Require and the sequel. He did them so well for audiobooks. So, um, anything similar, I suppose.   October 5th   Are there any DIY / Crafty / Free / Budget items you'd love to get but haven't noted yet? (Or, maybe you'd just like to emphasize something you may have only noted in passing?)   YOU GOT ME ROVING, I LOVE YOU.   Do you own a DSLR camera? Are you interested in a minky camera strap like these? What about anything from Photojojo?   I do. I have no camera strap, so I'd be down with whatever. But nothing else, really.   Is anybody else into film photography? Interested in receiving film, supplies, etc from Lomography?   Not anymore. I'm making the transition. Painfully. Don't tempt me. (But ask me about the super cool camera I found for $15 in a thrift shop that is 75 years old AND STILL WORKS.)   Are you musically inclined? Do you play an instrument or sing? If so, what?   Nope. I love singing, I do not do it well. But I do it a lot anyway.

Eight schemes to get a Lace wedding dress

Eight schemes to get a cheap wedding dress Getting a lace wedding dress can be a possibility. You do not have to resign yourself to paying the full retail price to get the wedding dress of your dreams. With some planning, time and creativity, you can get exactly the dress you desire at a nice discount. Here are some ideas that will get you started, and these ideas will teach you how to get a cheap wedding dress.   1 Shop early and often. Sometimes by shopping off-season you can get quite a long wedding dresses for discount, regardless of designer because they are trying to make room for the new fashions of the upcoming bridal season.   2 Buy a discounted or last season cheap wedding dress that is close to what you hope for, even if it is a little big. Simply have alterations done to change it. You can also add sequins, train, weights, and more to put the finishing touches on the dress that will be uniquely yours.   3 Visit vintage bridal shops and thrift stores. These often have several different short wedding dresses in stock and ready to go at deeply discounted prices. Just make sure there are little or no defects.   4 Go to annual bridal sales at your local stores. These can be very busy and hectic, drawing huge crowds. Arrive early, and bring help with you. Stay informed of these sales using advertising fliers from newspapers, the internet and TV commercials. These sales are often held at a specific time of year.   5 Consider shopping at outlet stores of major retailers. These are often separate from the malls, and these are usually located within outlet malls or basements of mall stores. You may walk away with a generous cheap wedding dress.   6 Shop rummage sales. Try the dress on before you buy it, if possible. Often dresses advertised here have never been worn, or the dresses show no evidence of wear. Be sure to try the dress on for fit. If it does not fit properly, make sure alterations can be done.   7 Look online and let your fingers do the walking for a short wedding dress. Always make sure that you can return it with no questions asked if you choose an online purchase. This will be more difficult, but it could result in a substantial discount on even a designer wedding dress.   8 Purchase your other bridal needs such as dresses and tuxedos at the same store. Some bridal stores will offer discounts if you purchase several items from them at once.

How to Choose taffeta Long Red Prom Dress

In a generally way, if you are intending to formal occasions, it is obvious how the long style is the best choice which is an easy task to show off your elegant and feminine side. However, it’s going to outshine a petite girl due to the length that it is advisable for medium to tall women to opt for the sex prom dress.   Long strapless gown in splendid orange colour is looking really very pretty. It’s a flowing gown where the designer has used matching beads as its design element on the banded waist portion of the dress to give it an extra feel. main fabric:Chiffon   Also be sure you know what your school or your date’s school will approve of in a long prom dress. There are some schools that have a dress code even for prom so make sure you conform to that dress code or you will not be allowed to go in to prom. Some schools do not allow dresses to have slits above a certain height and some will not let a neckline get to low. Make sure you check so you know what to look for in a dress   Sarah by no means has any less ambition now that she has graduated, Prom Dresses is perfectly content to follow in her father footsteps by staying in the farming business. More Switch Witch Questions

October 14th   Do you like scary books? What's the best/scariest thing you've ever read? Yes I do. The best scary type book I have ever read is Seize the Night by Dean Koontz. I would really love to have the first book since I picked Seize up with out knowing there was a book before it. The first book is Fear Nothing. I also really wish that Koontz would write the last book Ride the Storm. I am also a HUGE fan of Edgar Alan Poe. I do believe some of my personality was formed by reading Poe lol.   October 13th   Are you interested in anything in the latest round of Lab auctions on eBay? I don't really follow the auctions.   What favorite song(s) would you think would translate into a cool or unique scent? Hmmm. Wow there are so many. Adele-Rolling in the Deep could be a very powerful and deep scent. The Statler Brothers-Flowers on the Wall could be a very fun and quirky scent. Sam Sparro-Black and Gold could be a very deep and meaningful scent. There are quite a few songs on the Cowboy Bebop soundtracks that could make cool scents. Rain could be a very listless melancholic scent. Chicken Bone could be a really odd and fun scent.   Anyone interested in VApothecary's Halloween update? I don't follow their stuff.   Interested in anything from the Beaver Moon Lunacy update?
