Switch Witch Ketchup #2

Alrighty round 2... I'm sorry but it's not totally fleshed out. I'll prolly come back in a day or two to answer some of the questions better. Most of these are finished though.   9/13/10 what interests you from the latest lab update? Lilith's Tea Party, I have alot of decants coming to me from the Halloweenie's and until I try them out, I can't say what I'd actually like? I'll update this if I do find some wants in there though! I like them, I tend to like to go for the more classy things or retro pop.. bright colors appeal to me as long as they aren't clashy. My Ipod would tell you that I listen to waaaaaaayyyy too many fiction pieces. I particularly love listening to fantasy, science fiction and horror story podcasts. I also love Scott Siegler.. he podcasts his novels in segments and he totally rocks as a writer/podcaster. Music is very pop-ish.. though I tend to have the music for the musical I'm currently in rehearsal for or the musical I'm interested in trying out for on there. Any countries you're interested in? Since the other entry was getting ridiculously long, I thought I'd answer the newer questions here.   So, starting with the questions from the 11th,   One Concert Gaelic Storm or Carrie Newcomer. In terms of modern, commercial candies, I love malt balls, Andes mints, and truffles of all sorts.   Tea, loose-leaf or bagged I drink both kinds, year round. There are times I like the convenience of a bag, and times I love the ritual of brewing loose leaves. And the music I'm listening to mostly doesn't have explicit lyrics to get censored, but I'd prefer it not being censored, as that's interfering with the artist's conception of the song. If it's explicit, I just won't listen to it around small children or people whom I know don't like that kind of language.   Animal lover breeds I'm all for generic cat love, especially since my family tends to adopt ours from the stray cat population. Both of ours currently are part Bengal, and I do admit that I love their graceful lines and friendliness.   Favorite quotes/lines I've linked my livejournal, correct? I'll think of several others I wanted to mention immediately after I hit post, you understand.   Oh, but special points go to this line, from The Little Prince: "Others may forget this, but you must not. The entire passage with the Fox is beautiful, but that line resonates deeply.   Hard-to-find BPAL I haven't been really looking hard for it, but I would like to try either Were-puppy or Cake Smash. I wouldn't want to try something that was vanishingly rare, because then I'd love it and not be able to find more.   Hypothetical Children I don't have any children, so you don't have to worry about that.   Interesting things on the net I am actively involved in fandom, and would love fanfic recs for different series/media that I'm involved in. I especially love women getting to be awesome, people being competent at their jobs, and fics where friendships are important.   Cat macros/interesting graphs on graphjam/pretty fanvids in shows that I like you can also consider always awesome.   If you want specifics on fandoms I like, scroll back through my lj and interests, or send me another e-mail.   Last Meal Start off with mushroom tarts and rolls with either a good cinnamon/honey butter or pate to spread on top. Lobster bisque with a spinach salad and herbed bread for the next course, followed by spinach gnocchi with nutmeg sauce and either orange-glazed beets or cranberry sauce as a side. Dessert would be either a fruit crisp or chocolate-filled croissants. Or both. Mulled cider or hot tea to go next to everything.   And then I'd die in a dairy-filled coma. I tend to eat those foods separately for a reason, as they're all so rich.

However, if a jar of Löwensenf pear mustard were to appear on my doorstep, I would squee myself into a puddle, because you can only get it *from* the Löwensenf store in Düsseldorf, Germany. what interests you from the latest lab update? All of it! I have a few bottles and partials coming, but what I don't have, I'm interested in Boo and Blue Pumpkin Floss!   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I love stationary and cute cards, I'm sending snail mail every week to encourage a friend, so this type of stuff is welcome! Classic or modern, no cutesy unless it's Suzy's Zoo.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay?Yes, of course!! I love partials! Now if I could just make a wishlist...I also love empty bottles! Would you like something you have to make yourself? Sure!   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Either one is fine with me   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Sure! I don't like pickle pickles though, but I like things like pickled jalapenos!   Who is your favorite soap etailer? Thursday 10-14-10 update:   10/13/10 Today I got one of the Starbucks Halloween Bearista Bears - it's dressed like a werewolf! Is this something witchees might like? I am not so into that- I have a million other things I collect!   Are you interested in Halloween costumes for your pet(s)? My pets might hate you- I think they could tolerate hats. And the pictures would be hilarious.     10/12/10 Would you want your witch to reveal herself? How? Witch, I cannot wait to meet you!   10/9/10 I came home with some Dungeon Crawl and some Bedbugs yesterday. If you were my witchee, would you want some of either/both? Those both sound exciting to me- esp. bedbugs:)   10/7/10 Did you forget anything fun/interesting or find something new and exciting? I am not sure ho wot answer this. I am working on search engine optimization- but that isn't ver exciting. I have discovered a love for paintbox soapworks- I got some for my witchy and kept a bar of pumpkin soap for myself- she is way talented. Oh! I know hwat I am excited about- the musical next year is My Fair Lady- so I need to get the movie and hte original broadway soundtrack with julie andrews and practice:)   10/5/10 Would you like to receive international magazines, even if you don't speak the language it's written in, just to ogle the pictures or for the novelty of it? I love lush photographs of art or artsu fashion, crafts, and nature, and food- and pretty much anytihng- i rip up and save/collage magazine spreads all of the time.   would you have interest in any of the new Christmas stuff from Lush? I actually had to twist my own arm to stop it from making a huge order of that stuff. I especially lust after trying the maple lip balm, the gingerbread bubble bar, and the new hot toddy like shower gel. I miss being able to drive to lush- but it is good for my wallet!   Oh, witchee-poo... if there was one bottle you could have from the NYCC exclusives, what would it be? The White Lady, or Steeplechase Park spray.   If someone were to make you one of the items in this post which would it be? Oh my- those are all beautiful. Autumn gala looksk yummy- I love love love Mudslide anything.   how are all the witchees fixed for purses--lunchbags, etc? I really want a bento box! I am good on bags- my little sis just made me one for my bday and it is awesome!   Now, I have a question for you. About notes. Which are your favourite ones? Do you have a kind of "note top ten?" Anything that works particularly well on you? Do you have a perfume category (foody, floral, aquatic, musky) that you favour? And are there any notes you have never tried, but think would work well on you? I shall try a top ten:   1 honey/beeswax 2 caramel 3 dark cocoa 4 fig 5 apple 6 pumpkin 7 coconut- the lab's dry note is great- not tropicana at all 8 vanilla (creamy) 9 rose 10 violet   But for most of those notes- I like a layer of complex resins or woods/patchouli or somehting peppery to hold down the sweetness- so I feel like I did a bad job of listing stuff. Benzion is always good on me.   I also like to try strange notes- (such as tomato, different herbs, baking bread...) considered savory that arent used as often in conventional perfumes.   Would you like a sugar skull decorated by your witch? Or do you like sugar skull stuff in general? I love Day of the Dead stuff- I am entering two paintings for a show this year if I can get my other stuff done!   9/29/10 Is there one scent that is your goto for comfort on a bad stressful day? They are supr useful the first tiem you make somehting- I love to try new things and see what other people make.   What kind of a cook/baker are you? Experimental? I am learning to make yeast based baked goods at the moment. I tend to look up a bunch of recipes, see what other people do, and then improvise my own blend for a dish.   Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program? I am a foody/chef type. This weekend, I made salsa verde and canned it, and made tilapia in parchment with veggies and lime slices. I would love to have some Calling Cards to write on, as the lost art of the hand-written note is something I am terribly neglectful of. As for the design, I'm flexible! I also love to write with felt-tip pens, and getting those in fun colors are always nice.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Are you kidding? Last year, at work, we had an office-decorating contest for Halloween. My office windows were smeared in stage blood, there was an outline of a body in the floor, and crime scene tape on the walls. So yeah, I'd say I totally go for elegance when I'm decorating.   Homemade bath products YES PLZ!   Are you a foodie? Absolutely. I love to cook and to play with new flavors in the kitchen (though ATM just thinking about food makes me a little nauseated -- thanks, oxycodone. It has to be "good" vampire stuff, though what that means is highly subjective and difficult to define. I can tell you I enjoy True Blood, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, 30 Days of Night, and the Blade movies (okay, the first 2).   Soundtracks you'd like? I would love to receive baked goods if my witch is so inclined but if witch does not like baking do not worry about it. I'm not picky, I don't think there's anything witch could bake that I wouldn't like. Also I should mention my partner's birthday is October 16th, so if witch wants to send a little something for him that would be cool. No pressure either way because I'll be getting him something for his birthday anyways, and he's not expecting anything for himself from SW. And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I like them, but they need to be good quality otherwise they will go un-used. And interesting/different themes appeal at the moment, but I like all different sort of things.   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Yes, if they can get past quarantine.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? More than okay! I prefer bottles much much more than imps.   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Sure, as long as the instructions are easy to understand if it's not something I know how to do. If it's something I do know how to do well (such as origami) then the more advanced, the better.   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Whoa. Found more questions! 9/28/10   Do you collect stones/rocks? I'm talking like "semi" precious stones, ie moonstone, bloodstone, quartz ect. Are there any that you're looking for at the moment? Are you in need of a stone but don't know which kind? I love rocks and crystals. I'm one of those folks who always comes back from the creek with rocks in my pockets. I endlessly hanker for quartz and smoky quatrz and amethyst and rose quartz. My students give me granite rocks, and I treasure them.   Is there anything from Blooddrop that you want to try? GC? What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.) Three kids, ages 8, 14, 16. They all love to draw. They all enjoy stuff that glows in the dark.     What would your last meal be if it could be anything in the world (sky is the limit, drinks too, the whole shebang) Wow, I don't do much fantasizing about food. Like my Auntie Carlene: Frozen chocolate yoghurt. And I would add Dom Perignon champagne to wash it down.
