Q and A from the SW F2010 thread~!

Conglomerated for your convenience. =D How do you feel about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not? Maybe one magnet or stickers. I already have plenty of clutter, otherwise. =D   Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Heh, check Amazon. Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favorite? Would you like to receive mangas or anything related to them? My favorites are Ergo Proxy and Slayers. I'd love Slayers light novels or the Ergo Proxy DVDs. I haven't read or watched anything incredibly new for a while.   Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Of course!   Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? I like sketchbooks, especially moleskins and watercolor paper. How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? I think I have too much as is with hardly anything to use it for. :{ Always need new micron pens in any size and color, though!   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Sure!   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Depends on how hard it is. ;   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Yes.   Who is your favorite soap etailer? Villaness, Lush What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? Urban Decay and Bare Essentials minerals. I like colorful eye shadows and nail polish; green, metallic, neon, etc.   Lip Gloss Colors: Mulberry, Coffee, shell pink, neutral.   What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? Teacups and glasses would be nice.   With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? I like things spread out but don't mind waiting until the end.     Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? I like occasional e-cards but I don't require them~!     If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Of course! I... I'd need a better teapot to go with it. Otherwise, I'd love one!   Vampires/Vampire literature: I like short story collections, mostly. Never got into any major vampire series. Consoles: PC all the way. Sometimes I play with my DS Lite. I prefer tabletop RPGs and boardgames, though. Plants and flowers: Hmmm, not sure? I like flowers and plants, but my plants have to live outdoors. Huge updated Questions and other stuffs for Witch of Doom

How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Sounds Fun to me!!! I love crazy wacky silly stuff     Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Hmm.. I’ve been wanting to read some Lovecraft. Haven’t had the time to get out and buy any of them. Plus I’m not sure where to start.   Do you read mangas/watch animes? Nope, I hardly have time to watch regular TV Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? I wouldn’t mind, but I wouldn’t be sure as to what I’m getting   Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Oh of course!!! I don’t expect any witch of mine to get stuff exclusively from my WL. There’s no fun in that. I like the element of surprise   If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Of course!! I’d love it that much more too!   OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? Oooooo socks!! I love the kooky kind… especially Halloween Socks. I’m not a big fan of ankle socks, or knee high socks.   9/14/10 Chocolate or other types of candy? I’m curious about different types of candy. I love English chocolates and German Chocolates. Candy won’t be turned away in my house.   For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? I used to prefer loose leaf, but my teaball died   If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.) – No kiddos in my house.   Is there anything you would like that can be delivered over the internet? Things like fanfic recs, cat macros, mp3s you are looking for, how-to or amusing videos, things like that? I usually wear simple make up like Mac. I tend to stick to shimmery (not pearly though) colors. Golds, pinks, browns, reds are all the colors that I like. I’d start with John Cusack (version 1985), Alexander Skarsgård (Humminahumminahummina), Paul Newman (When he was younger of course), Lindsey Buckingham (version 1985), Paul Rudd.   Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? I never expect more out of my witch than I’d give my witchee. I do have a ScentBase, however, it’s totally neglected. I have so many flavors of BPAL and I’m (usually) quite active in swapping so it’s out of date. Halloweenie SW Questions - 9/13 to 9/14/10

Chocolate or other types of candy?   There are all kinds of candy that I love but can't currently eat due to braces. Pretty much anything gummy / caramel, sticky (jelly beans, red vines) or crunchy (toffee *sob*) is out. Chocolate is pretty safe, but I also adore Reese's Pieces and York Patties.   For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags?   Either! I do loose often at home, tea bags when I'm lazy or at work.   If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls?   I have about 1 bazillion pairs of handknit socks (literally over 100, I'm pretty sure). However, if you knit socks and want to knit me some, FEEL FREE! I rarely wear hats, and I've knit a few myself so I'm pretty much set there. Scarves are fine, I have a few but it's nice to switch them out. I'm a bit hesitant about shawls. I'm knitting my first two - one is a shawlette, and I'm planning to wear it more like a scarf, the other was just because I took Jared Flood's class and had to knit Girasole. 9/17/10 Are there any particular movies, tv shows or cd's that you've been meaning to buy for years but just never got round to getting? Would you mind a gently used dvd/cd if your witch had it or could get it?? No problem with gently used DVD's. Defying Gravity would be awesome, and/or Pushing Daisies. Augh! More Questions!

A few other relevant questions (from the Master SW Question list courtesy of the lovely lioness)   Chocolate or other types of candy? Chocolate is my favorite, as you already know from my questionnaire, but I also love caramels, Laffy Taffy, Red Vines, Swedish Fish and anything soft and fruity tasting.   If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? I love both scarves and shawls. During the dark days of a Chicago winter it's possible to wear 10 at a time and still feel a bit chilly.   Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be alike? Supposedly I look like Agent Scully from the X-Files and Anne of Green Gables. I don't see the resemblance in either case other than paleness and reddish hair.   Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect? I keep forgetting to pick up a pastry brush and a pastry cutter. Both of these would have come in handy this past weekend while I was in a baking frenzy.   Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? I prefer live concerts, especially classical or jazz. Neither of them ever need to be edited. For recorded music, I like either (depends on the piece) and hate editing. I'm Irish, have five brothers and come from a quasi-Navy family so I've heard it all.   Also flowers and plants- If you like flowers/plants, do you have a favorite(s)? I love tulips and would put in some bulbs this fall if my neighbor's annoying dog wouldn't dig them up. I like to keep an aloe plant or two (or more) around the house at all times.   what interests you from the latest lab update? I've ordered lots of decants as well as unsniffed bottles of Blue Pumpkin Floss and Pumpkin Latte. I need to add Ginger Skulls, Sugar Skull, The Infernal Lover and Unsteady Governess to my list of wants based on reviews.

Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? – Wand noisy things can always be (temporarily) taken away or de-batteried SO If it says it's appropriate for 3 and up, then it should be fine.   a specific type/breed that you love most? Turtles gryphons, dragons, dragonflies, butterflies, raccoons, wolves, ocelots . ..   What is a bpal scent that you've been dying to try for awhile but just can't find? (A scent where even a tester would do) I really wouldn't want much less than 1/2 imp. I want to really be able to test it for a day, not just sniff it & then wish I could find it. Feel free to stick with GC stuff, I've got enough of them on my wishlist!   Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? Any of the above, although if the lyrics are REALLY raunchy, I'd probably pass on the song altogether.   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? When I have the time, I enjoy loose leaf as a special treat. I was thinking about magazines and I'd LOVE to get Fiend magazine! It's an aussie goth magazine. But if there's any goth mags in your country, then I'd love to read them too!   What else random...Oh! I know! I'd love to learn how to make moulded resin jewellery, like big bangles. Love bangles and wrist cuffs.   Also another random though... I love apples and apple cider. Just sayin'

Here's ketchup from the SW thread, which moves way too fast for my feeble mind.   Do you hate any food things with a passion?? Liver, cauliflower and white chocolate. Please, no liver. I already have one. (har)   Would you be opposed to receiving a digital version (via email) of a magazine you like but don't subscribe to...you know, in the interest of saving a tree? I'm already getting Mother Jones via email (which is one of the mags I mentioned in the questionnaire) but wouldn't mind getting any of the others digitally.   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? I love stationery and office supplies. I feel the same way about cool stationery that some women feel about cool shoes.   What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I'm pretty well set on makeup. My dry, ghostly pale skin is pretty sensitive (especially my face) so I get hypoallergenic stuff that won't cause it to go into a tizzy.   Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? I love contact (and I LOVED your first email) but I don't expect you to plan your life around me.   Go to your spice cabinet, what are the three most used spices? It's been nearly three years since my last vacation, which was two weeks in India. We spent a few days in the Himalayan foothills (beautiful!), which I loved. And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? Yes please! And.. if it's in the vein of kawaii, then cutesy is fine. Otherwise, classic/contemporary.   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Beans (any type) would be fine, as well as tomatoes. Fruit jams/preserves will also be eaten.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Of course! I have yet to go through a full 5ml, plus some of the things I'm wishing for are pretty hard to find.   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Sure.   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? It would warm the cockles of my heart if you made it.   Who is your favorite soap etailer? Paintbox Soapworks, but if we're including scrubs, Haus of Gloi is right up there too. Would like to start getting into Meow and more of Fyrinnae. In Clinique, my foundation type is linen, so I think I've got some yellow undertone to my pale whiteness. As for colors.. I look best in browns, pinks and some greens (although I haven't entirely figured out why some do and some don't). I'm also trying to figure out the shades of blue which work, as well. Please no yellows or orange. Blushwise, I tend to go for darker pinks or neutrals. For lips, I'd love to find a red which works on me. Darker pinks/mauves/purples work well. I like BMI calculator that can find out where I stand in fitness compare to my peers, as good as is the Calorie Counter because I am on diet and want to count how much calorie I have gotten or consumed each day, it can show the line chart on the report for reference, Great!!   And other tool I like is the Event Calendar, because I can add my personal dates on the calendar (it provides the Privacy button that when I share Bella Girl with my friend, my period and ovulation date will be hidden.)   The remaining tools are Timer for control my face mask treatment time, nail drying time; Converter can help me know my size in international unit that is good for shopping reference.   The last but not the least, I feel interested that there is a Smart Compare, it is useful because when I buy the cosmetics in different volume, different price, Smart Compare can assist me to decide which one is the better choice.   Bella Girl is not the complex iPad app, but if we do not know what the button for, we can visit the user guide on Bella Girl website (although it is a long long name, but the user guide is showing by fews words with picture, it is very friendly!) Okay so reading the thread is always a chancy thing. There are ALWAYS things you see and go 'humm whats that.' So i was doign so when phantasmmystera brough up a nail polish i had never heard of. China Glaze. OH MY GODS *grabby hands*   Emerald Fitzgerald First Class Ticket Cowardly Lyin' Dorothy Who?   and the no chip top coat. Oh man. I have NO idea where these things come from or how much they would be, their site is LACKING these features, which is ALWAYS a bad sign.   BUt i had to share witch dear!

What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? Eyemakeup: I have green eyes, so I wear green, purple, silver/grey and black mostly. I'd love to find a nice burgundy/wine colour that compliments green eyes. I have very pale skin, so my foundation colour is almost white. (Meow Cosmetics shade Inquisitive Abyssinian) And I LOVE Avon's Supershock mascara, but it's expensive to get here in Australia, so I've only tried the black one.   Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? I don't mind, whatever my witch is planning is good. However, I love the 2 ecards I've received already...hehe   Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? I did, but it's lost on the same hard drive as my wishlist. =(   Do you like maple sugar candy? I've never tried it, but it sounds taasty!   What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? Never tried it, but I love bacon, and I love chocolate, so why not? I also like chilli chocolate quite a lot, so weird combinations don't bother me.   If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? Yes!   Do you hate any food things with a passion?? Same with mustard (though I still don't like "yellow mustard"). I've always hated licorice (though I love the smell) especially black licorice and Twizzlers. If something has a licorice-y flavor that's good, I just don't like licorice candy. I can't think of anything else that I hate. Liver, actually, even though I've tried really hard to like it, but I don't expect to receive that.
