TygherRayn Report post Posted September 5, 2004 Innocence defiled. Sticky pink bubblegum and the thick, sweet scent of orange and cherry lollipops smeared over a breath of heady womanly perfume. Right out of the bottle, this is a WHOOSH of pink bubblegum. Not quite the stuff you used to get shredded in the pouches. More like bubble tape. Sinfully sweet, so sweet you can feel the cavity growing. A second sniff brings out something almost orangey .. definitely a fruity smell. I'm not sure I get the 'womanly perfume' but in this, I don't think it's needed. This is definitely the smell of jailbait. When I first put it on it's still that sticky sweet cavity inducing smell that I just now is going to irritate my teeth, it's so sweet. It's a girl in a catholic schoolgirl uniform, the buttons of the blouse undone halfway and the tails tied around her waist. She's sucking on a lollypop, cherry red, watching the older boys drive by as she twists a finger in her hair.As it settles down, it becomes more of an older scent, but still tainted by that bubblegum sweetness. This reminds me of a movie, and I can't think of the name of it. It's one where a teenage girl seduces her older teacher, and when he turns her away she gets her revenge. This is the perfume she would have worn. It's sweet, and edgy, and just a little dangerous while trying to keep up a mask of innocence.
ChupaChup Report post Posted September 11, 2004 This perfume is absolutely adorable! Yup, it's bubblegum, the kind coated in lots of powdered sugar. As it drys, it does mature just a little bit, it becomes more of a soft fruit and floral perfume with a tinge of alcohol. I think a teenager would love Jailbait but you might want to cut the label off before you give it to her! Although I guess being naughty is most of the fun in this one The lab threw this in as an extra in my last order, thanks for letting me try it. It made me giggle as soon as I sniffed it in the bottle.
Ina Garten Davita Report post Posted September 13, 2004 First Impression: Jailbait smells like children's cough remedy (Triaminic or perhaps Robitussin). Second Impression: Ok, now I smell the bubblegum and cherry lollies. This one is morphing and changing often, now I smell a touch of cinnamon and floral that reminds me of Hamadryad. And there is the tiniest hint of that crystalline champagne note from Shattered. Final Analysis: While I did not enjoy the smell of this wet, the complete drydown is quite lovely. I was *not* expecting the complexity of the blend nor the radical changes. Not sure I'd buy a bottle, but I'll enjoy the imp and keep one on hand.
fairywingmaker Report post Posted September 14, 2004 Jailbait... My first impression, this took me right back to middle school. Bubblegum, big pink and chewy. But a grown up muskiness underneath. I really like this! This wears really well. Didn't need to reapply at all.
renaissancerouge Report post Posted September 14, 2004 Jailbait didn't rock me till I figured out that it reminded me of hot sunny days in dusty San Antonio, chewin' original Trident and sprayin' the Love's Baby Soft. This stuff is great for reviving my 80's childhood in the beginning, then mellows to a spicy floral candybomb....I should wear it to a board meeting to mess with this ex-officio asshole's mind. Instead of being his Personal Stapler Bitch maybe I'd move up the rung to Harrassable Lolita and I could nail his slick corporate shark ass...ok, that would definitely be the karma f%&*ing way to wear Jailbait. I will probably just take a bath with it and snuggle up in my fuzzy pink Goodwill sweater and hum "Take On Me" till I fall asleep.
heartbeast Report post Posted September 16, 2004 In a word, Jailbait is fun. I get the bubblegum and lollypops right up front, with a floral sneaking into the background. It's almost a silly scent, initially, and then the drydown is a soft floral bubblegum blend, really lovely as others have said. Almost a skin scent. More than the scent of an actual underage girl, this is a woman over 18 dressed up as a schoolgirl for sexy hijinks with her lover. They don't take their little roleplaying scene too seriously; they're very tongue-in-cheek and playful with the game. The drydown scent is the afterglow, as they lie together cuddling and, noticing the white schoolgirl panties chucked across the room, they burst into a fit of giggles. I hope I gave some of you ideas!
riddel Report post Posted September 17, 2004 (edited) Jailbait This was a freebie in my last order, an oil I had not planned on trying. While I do like sweet scents, I was afraid Jailbait would make me smell like a pre-teen, what with the bubblegum and lollipop notes. But... I like it, surprisingly. With wear, the "heady womanly perfume" comes to the forefront and the bubblegum fades to the background (on my skin, anyway). The result? A grown-up blend with just enough sticky sweetness to keep it from being downright proper. I never get any of the orange or cherry lollipops, although I'm sure they're there, so well-blended my amateur nose just can't pick them out. What a neat scent. I'll enjoy my imp and go from there. bluegirlb Report post Posted September 23, 2004 (edited) this is an imp that was thrown in as a freebie, and i had a hard time trying to figure out how the two contrasting scents, the sugary childhood candy with mature perfume, would meld. beautifully, actually. when i opened the vial and first put it on, there was a definite strong smell of bazooka joe gum. so perfect that i was instantly transported back to ernie's bait shop in fall river kansas, where as a child i would always get a piece of bazooka joe gum. coincidentally, fall river was also the scene for my first explicit sexual experiences. the sugary-sweet pinkness faded quickly, and some of the lollipop came out, as well as a dark musky scent. the combination was lovely, the deep perfume balancing out the sweet. it was, for lack of a better description, innocent and naughty! after a couple hours, the "heady womanly perfume" became very strong, too strong for my liking, but that's a personal preference. in another couple hours it faded back to the perfect equilibrium, and after ten hours, it's still there, with the orange more noticable now. a very fun and playful scent! i liked it much more than i would have guessed. kimberlygem Report post Posted September 26, 2004 First all I get is bubblegum then a older woman's perfume wafts in. this is added to a sweet almost grapey/berry scent like a lollipop and maybe a light touch of musk as well; Very different and you are easily able to picture the contrast of young and old and the difference in how they love. An intriguing scent. Kimberly
hypothermya Report post Posted September 27, 2004 First Impression Bubble gum!!! Pink, pink, pink, and not those weird tropical flavors! This is straight, old fashioned bubble gum. Ack. My mouth is watering... Wearing It Hey, is there cinnamon in here? It smells like cinnamon bubble gum after you've been chewing at it for *hours*, like there's the faintest traces of cinnamon left, but mainly bubble gum. But there's also a darker red scent (the bubble gum was more pink). The lollipops scent never really comes to the forefront. It is *very* sweet though. Perhaps a bit too sweet for my tastes, but perfect for someone who wants to smell like candy. I never would have tried this on my own, just because I don't really wear super sweet scents. However, this is kinda fun. Something I could see a teenager wearing, or perhaps someone who's dressing up a school girl. Perfect for someone who's out to be young and flirtatious. lixolux Report post Posted October 9, 2004 i never thought i would love this one as much as i do! i really dislike cherry anything, but this smells just like what i feel like Sarah Jessica Parker in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun would be wearing. Jailbait smells exactly like Bazooka bubble gum, upon wearing it becomes Big Red and then morphs into a slightly more sophisticated scent of Loves Baby Soft on a hot summer day. I put legwarmers on and slapped on some turquoise eyeshadow to go with it! I think I could wear this everyday!!
rhubarbbear Report post Posted October 13, 2004 I got this in a swap- I love sweet scents and was anxious to try it! Wet/In the bottle- YUM. Bubble gum...makes me want to lick or chew my wrist! 15 min later- well, the bubble gum has faded somewhat ( ), but the candy scent has come out. I still like it! Dry- more floral, and I do get some of the cinnamon others have mentioned, all still rounded out with sweet candy notes. Final verdict- I heart Jailbait! One of my favorites- it feels very lighthearted and girly. Of course, I'd like it even better if the bubble gum lasted and lasted....
pekeana Report post Posted October 13, 2004 In the vial, Jailbait is all sugar and bubble-gum, but with a twist of something dark and leering in the background. On me, the fruity orange comes up and a musky floral comes beneath. I love this so very, very much. It's definitely going with me on vacation tomorrow. Lorencita Report post Posted October 14, 2004 I just have to say that this is great! I love the way it smells like that powdery bubble gum sweetness when wet, then it softens to this beautiful , flowery perfume that is delicious! I have a bottle on the way. Donnababe Report post Posted October 18, 2004 Jailbait I love to eat cherries but I hate the smell and taste of cherry flavouring. I didn't hold much hope for this scent ........ I was pleasantly surprised initially, this was sweet, sticky orange at first the cherry was there but there was no almond ickiness that I find all cherry fragrances or sweets have. But after a few minutes I inhaled my wrists and smelled Band Aids and Germolene antiseptic ointment.
Scylla Report post Posted October 22, 2004 In the vial, and wet on my skin: Does anyone remember those bubble gum scented Hello Kitty erasers that Sanrio made circa 1976? The kind you wanted to bite, they smelled so darn bubble gummy? Wet, Jailbait smelled just like that! I wanted to bite myself, I tell you! On drydown, the bubble gum scent has faded a bit and there is definitely a more floral scent coming out, but I can't quite pinpoint the notes. It is a very youthful, fun scent. I think this would be a great choice for an older teen / young woman. I'd buy it for my 17 year old stepdaughter if I didn't think her mother would be offended! monet Report post Posted October 24, 2004 Wearing It Hey, is there cinnamon in here? It smells like cinnamon bubble gum after you've been chewing at it for *hours*, like there's the faintest traces of cinnamon left, but mainly bubble gum. But there's also a darker red scent (the bubble gum was more pink). I got that too. In the bottle it was very cherry and bubblegummy. WHen I first out it on - same smell. I had bees chasing me for an hour at the park. It was very annoying! An hour later - completely changed to cinnamon and bubblegum. Then shortly after changed to just old cinnamon bubblegum. I kinda dug it but it wore off way too quick.
k00kaburra Report post Posted October 31, 2004 In bottle: Bubblegum. Bubble Yum Strawberry Bubble Gum! It makes me think of childhood and those one inch blocks of gum sold in packs of five at grocery store checkouts everywhere. On me: I'm getting such a craving for bubble gum asI put this on. After the first initial bubble of fragrance 'pops' the scent grows up a bit and smells like something an adult would wear. I'm beginning to pick up hints of orange and something else that darkens and subdues the bubble gum. But wow! I am in love.
Shollin Report post Posted November 4, 2004 First sniff: Wow – Jailbait really does smell like bubblegum. With an edge of heat that I can’t quite pin down. Wearing: Yup – dead-on bubblegum, the kind that has no extra flavor but just the pink powdery sweetness of gum. As it dries it turns a bit cherry-cinnamony, but by the end of the journey it’s back to straight pink bubblegum.
Northernminx Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Strawberry bubblegum, mingled with red licorice and lollypops. Holy smokes... there's a faint wispy floral under there somewhere but the bubblegum hated me and my wrists smelled like a candy store gone wrong. Jailbait? Definitly. PERFECTLY captured. Just oh so not me
grrrlennyl Report post Posted November 27, 2004 jailbait at first: totally strong, pink bubblegum. on: fabulous. definitely that cheap bubblegum from the 80s. however, i also get a sharp citrus note. weird, but i like it. 1 hour later: this is almost almondy on me now. 2 hours later: still sweet, but very light. i wish this were stronger on me. overall: i really like this, but i'll definitely need to put a lot on in order for it to last. it's like a more naive version of formula 54, and i might buy a bottle of this once i finish up my bottle of that. xoe Report post Posted December 1, 2004 Jailbait was at first all red Twizzlers. But a juicy version of Twizzlers. Bright red, wet & sticky. Amazing! Later the softly floral perfume comes through. This blend is really amazing! And for me it lasted forever. I put it on at about 10:00 last night. It is now 11:00 in the morning, and I can still smell it on my wrists. VelvetSky Report post Posted December 6, 2004 Jailbait is both a fun and slightly disturbing blend. It's definitely got the bubblegum, cherry lollipop thing going on...but (goddess forgive me), there's a porn star quality lurking in the background. This is a naughty scent. This is a woman dressed up like a schoolgirl. This is candy.
quinkel Report post Posted December 7, 2004 There is not much discussion about the initial stage, Cherry lollipops and bubble gum Very approprate today as I am wearing a pink sweater. But then *drums*... the drydown.. Hard to place, almost buttery sweet, cooky spice. Sweet but not too sweet. Lovely and a very unique perfume. For me occasional wear (on days I feel pink and girly) Oh and how i wished to have this when i was sixteen.
scourgeotheseas Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Got this in a swap from Shollin just after the boards went down - I love it! In the bottle: Like everybody else said, smells just like supersweet pink bubblegum. I think Dubble Bubble, personally. There's a little hint of cherry in the whiff, too. On me/wet: The bubblegum explodes! I smell like bubblegum and bright red cherry candy! I can't smell any orange at all, just cherry. I love ultrasweet, and this is perfect! Drydown: The bubblegum smooths out and slowly sinks into my skin. It never really turns into a musk or floral, but it does become a much more mature version of candy. I wish the drydown phase lasted longer on me. My only complaint is that it doesn't last at all on me -- every two hours I need to reapply. Just means I need to send it my next order and get a big bottle!
