Would you be interested in comic books and if so what ones do you read or what genre of comics are you interested in?   All of them. No, but I’m a huge xmen fan, loved Transmetropolitan, Shi, Kabuki, wasn’t a big fan of the Hellboy stuff… the art style made it hard to read. I love strange stuff, like Dogwitch, Lenore, Squee, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac (god, I need a new copy of that) too. I’ve got *some* of the stuff I like on my amazon wishlist. I think I’d like the walking dead compendium too. ;-) ---- Apple crisps?   Nomnomnom. Yes. I just don’t have the time or energy to make them myself. ---- IngenuiTEAs?   I’ve kinda wanted one since I first saw them, but I haven’t made it that far. ---- Anything from California?   Haunted mansion and disney villains stuff (esp. Maleficent or Ursula) ---- Fusion Sweets –   Lavender Honey Vanilla Sea Salt caramels, Anise, Saffron, Cardamom, and Peach Butter caramels, Bacon Sea Salt caramels(!), Green Tea Butter caramels, French Sea Salt caramels, Jasmine berlingots, Chocolate Coconut sugar cubes… and I think the lychee rose almond and chocolate orange marshmallows could prove dangerous. ---- Poe scents – not even going there. --- Kombucha – no thanks. SW2012 Q&A from 9/20 onward

10/6   Are you dressing up for Halloween, Witchee? If so, is there anything you're looking for to complete your costume? I wish! No one I know ever throws a party. I haven't had a chance to dress up for Halloween in over fifteen years. I keep hoping, though!   Do you need any accessories for your smartphone (case, skin, etc)? Nope, I'm good!     10/5   Fusion Sweets? The English Breakfast Tea Caramels and the Chai Caramels look amazing. Also, the Pumpkin Pie, the French Sea Salt, the Roasted Black Sesame, the Belgian Dark Chocolate...I wish I'd never clicked on that link!   Do you want anything from Dark Delicacies or any of the Poe scents? There are a few Dark Delicacies scents I've wanted to try (decants of any of these would be great): Horrid Mysteries, Midnight Bell, Story Time At Dark Delicacies, The Nameless City Drive-In Theatre, Psychological Horror (I've been meaning to try this one forever). And I know this is after the fact, but if you have any Alone and want to send me a sniffy, I would not say no!     10/4   Would you be interested in comic books and if so what ones do you read or what genre of comics are you interested in? Like, shaped like a witch? Sure!   What's a new company to you that you most want to try a product from or what would be a new product to you that you most want to try (make-up, perfume, or bath/body)? I guess Haunt (I've only tried Winchester from them) or Midnight Gypsy.   If you like necklaces, what are some symbols or images that you would love to have a necklace depict? Well, I wear my silver ankh most of the time, but it's on the large side (I didn't realize how large it would be when I ordered it) so I've been looking on and off for a smaller, more delicate one. I also love anything to do with stars (especially four- or eight-pointed ones), the moon (full or crescent or triple moon), pomegranates, and stuff like wolf claws and crow feathers (not real ones, I mean, but shaped like them).     9/27   Gardening? Not yet, but when we have a house I plan to start a garden. So if you know of any good gardening books (so far I have the For Dummies book and the Better Homes & Gardens book), especially one for total noobs, that would be cool!   Is there anything you might want from the latest update (Lab or TP)? Not that I can think of.   Is there something(s) that you consider too spendy or too frivolous for you to buy for yourself, but that you actually want? I really like Wylde Ivy's White Cashmere, but I gave mine to my mom when she was visiting (a year and a half ago!) because she liked it and I've yet to replace it. Not that it's expensive, but pretty much everything has been too frivolous for me to spend money on lately, unfortunately.   Do you use or would like to try loose eyeshadow pigments? I like loose eyeshadows, but I have quite a few that I never use because my brush (it was eco-friendly and cruelty-free, but apparently cheaply made) broke. So that's an idea, if you can find a decent eyeshadow brush!     9/26   Witchee, do you want anything from the Haunt update coming up on 10/3? I know it might be too early to say, but if you could look at the preview on the night of 10/2 and let me know if you want anything... ~*~see wishlist here~*~   Do any of Villainness' Soap Box exclusive scents interest you, especially any of the Smooches/Whippeds? I love Villainess, especially the Smacks! I wish everything that was available as a Smooch was available as a Smack, because Smooches make the tub too slippery for clumsy ol' me. That said, I'd love to try Jack O. or First Frost soap.   Puddin' just put a shitton of old Lunacy shirts on the BPTP Etsy! Any ones interest you? Not really, and I've probably missed them all by now. I kind of wanted the Raven Moon one, but I didn't have money for it at the time.     9/25   What do you do to take care of yourself when you're having a rough day (sick, life not going your way, whatever)? I usually fix myself a cup of tea and hopefully scrounge up something sweet, and watch a favorite movie, often one based on a Jane Austen novel (I have so many), but sometimes a funny movie. I think I said in answer to another question that Hot Fuzz is one of my favorite cheer-up movies. I usually save it for when I feel really low.   Who here is going to be picking up JK Rowling's new book on Thursday I haven't yet, but I do want to read it at some point. I'm a little scared, based on the few reviews I've read so far, that I'm going to have a hard time dealing with how different it is to the Harry Potter series.   favorite and least favorite baked goods? Favorite...anything to do with chocolate, I guess? Least favorite...I can't think of a least favorite baked good.   what size T-Shirt do you wear (standard AND babydoll)? I guess it depends? All my old BPTP crewnecks are 3X because I wanted them to be big, but since I lost weight they're a little *too* big. So I guess 2X. And I have a babydoll somewhere that's XXL, but I don't wear it much because it's so short on me. I'm tall-ish (5'9"), but most of my height is in my long waist, so a lot of shirts are too short on me, which is one of the reasons I was getting my shirts so big.   I found a fantastic little shop while traveling that had unusual jellies and jams. Would you be interested in trying something like Georgia Moonshine Jelly or TOE Jam (each letter stands for some kind of fruit, I don't remember which ones) or something similar? How about homemade jam in general? I believe I have already made my fascination with this Moonshine Jelly stuff clear! And I'm open to pretty much any kind of jam.   Would you be interested in homemade herbal remedies and tinctures? Sure, although I'd probably prefer something external (like a salve or wash) rather than something taken internally.     9/24   Paintbox Soapworks: Interested in anything from her? I love her soaps! Of the ones I've tried so far, I like Gingermilk, The Man In The Moon (but I don't see that anymore so I guess it was disconned), White Cotton Sheets, and Pants Relief Elixir. Ones I haven't tried, but would like to: The Queen Is Dead, Dead Leaves On The Dirty Ground, Heima, Lady Linden, Sweet Cheeks, Miss Ada (so...most of them, I guess) and the Weenies, especially Smiling Jack. Yeah, I like Paintbox.   ThinkGeek: anything interesting to you on there? I probably want about half of what they've got, but every time I go to that website, I lose a ton of time. So if I ever want to get caught up on these questions, I can't go comb through it now. If you really need an answer to this, dear Witch, please poke me.   What's one thing you want, right now, that you're having difficulty finding? I can't think of anything right at the moment.   are there any e-tailers you're desperately wanting to try? if so, any specific items/scents/etc? I kind of want to try Midnight Gypsy on Etsy. I made a list of scents that sound interesting, but of course that's on my other, currently only-sometimes-working, computer. Sure, I like to listen to an audiobook sometimes when I'm on the treadmill. I like mysteries and I guess what's called "urban fantasy" as long as it's not the type that's just an excuse for endless sex scenes (like that what's her name...I can't remember her name, but she seems to have started the whole sex-and-monsters subgenre) because that bores me.   Bar soaps with some scrubby bits, yes or no? Yes.   Do you need any small electronic gadgets like flash drives and the like? Actually, yes. I could use a new flash drive. I've got one somewhere, but I can't find it.   Would you like a pair of knitted socks? I would LOVE a pair of knitted socks.   Do you have any use for knitted dishcloths, facecloths, etc, especially if they were fandom related? I don't think so, I've got enough of washcloths and dishcloths already.   Do you subscribe to any sample boxes, and if so, which ones? Would you like to receive some samples? (perfume, eco/"green," skin care, hair, music downloads, cosmetics, soap...) I don't subscribe to any, but I do love samples. Any health/beauty stuff that's not animal-tested would be cool. And I love hearing new music, so feel free to suggest anything.   do you have a problem with nudes???Male or Female? Nope, I think bodies are beautiful.   People ask a lot of questions about dogs and cats, but I know a lot of forumites have rodent pets. How would you feel about hammocks or toys for your rats/hamsters/gerbils/etc.? I don't have any rodent pets. (But the mental image of a rat/hamster/gerbil swinging in a hammock is adorable and I encourage anyone who does have a rodent-in-a-hammock to please post pictures.)     9/21   My Little Pony... Cute or meh? ...Both? Like, I think they're cute and some of the customized OOAK ones I've seen are amazing, but I don't necessarily need one. I've got a cute pink one that I bought on a whim years ago sitting on my bookshelf, but I have no idea what it's called or anything.   I realize that we had a similar question in the ?aire, but I need you Witchee-s to list at least 5 items, each ranging $20 and under from Amazon.com or Walmart.com. I keep getting stuck on this one because it's too wide open. So I'm gonna skip it.   My new job is at a consignment store where we have all kinds of designer brands for very reasonable prices. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? (Give some indication as to your "style" as well. For example, do you like bohemian-style frocks in lavender? Crossbody purses in black? Sunglasses that are round and bug-like?) I loveloveLOVE sunglasses--the bigger, the better. I recently stopped dead in my tracks when passing a local eyeglass place because they had this pair of incredible sunglasses in the window display. The frame was shaped like an infinity symbol, with huge smoky lenses. So gorgeous. I think they were Versace or a similarly ridiculously expensive designer brand. So if you're my Witch and you see 'em for cheap, by all means! I also love bags. Lately, clutch purses, but anything relatively structured (i.e., not slouchy hobo styles) OR a sturdy tote. Oh, and I like wristlets!   In the meantime, let me know what you like to do on the Internet to kill time. Flash games? What are your daily websites/blog visits, or favorite YouTube videos? The forum and Facebook are pretty much all I need to eat up hours of time.   And what are your favourite characters from your fandoms? I remember answering this question at some point, and all that's coming to mind right now are Giles and Xander (BtVS) because I remember saying it before.     9/20   What is your holy grail "I'd kill to just have one drop in an imp" bpal scent? Ice Queen, but I've been working on convincing myself that it would smell awful on me so that I can stop wanting it.   Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting I haven't gotten my decants yet, so I don't know about those. But I didn't sign up for a decant of Halloween in the Miskatonic University Library and that sounds good, although I think I could approximate it by wearing Misk U and Pumpkin Latte at the same time.   if you wear earrings, do you have pierced ears? Hello my witch wonderful I TOLD THE NACHO MINION I DONT NEED ANYTHING-youve been SO VERY GENEROUS A minion or nacho witch wrote me asking my coffee and scent prefences. And before I get to those     IF EITHER BEAVER MOON or MISCHIEF found its way to me, there would be much rejoicing. !!       I'd like to thank you for all the goodness. I am still petting my sock dreams socks-twas warm today so havent worn them yet, but they will get the love they deserve.   Tonight I went out shopping, ostensibly looking for Levis but alas, there were short size 8, or tall size 8's but no regular, so I headed to the Kipling purse section. I've taken to only wearing Kipling purses ($ but oh so lightweight-and they hold a lot)   Which brings me to ketchup- my purse is like some sort of traveling office   wallet, phone,charger, separate camera , pens, makeup,meds,notebook,and sometimes bits of craft stuff and supplies!! so I would love one of those purse organizer type things-I put an example on my amazon list!   SCENT STUFF-Vanillas and foody are my favorites-I would love to try MISCHIEF, FIZZY JACK o'Lantern-also like coffee scents (I have MIsk U and love using it in fall and Winter) I also just bought a bottle of BONFIRE NIGHT and love that-also like ale and beer scents!!   am not a fan of patchouli and excessively Floral Other scents-Possets-I used to wear them,but they disappeared on me-my skin just ate up whatever the base is so sadly   Open to trying other scents too!   COFFEE_ YAY FOR GROUND COFFEE-Decaf preferred-I like Trader Joes coffee, and of course STARBUCKS!!! Prefer coffee to tea   CLOTHING- tshirt-long sleeve preferred or short sleeve-no sleeveless cause it woulnt be pretty-size L-I like babydoll kind-if it was a lab tshirt or american apparel type Id be xl but in target style shirts am a large!   FAVORITE SOAP COMPANY IS BOTANICA BATH ON ETSY   (they used to be called natures edge)   like citrus flavors scents for moisturizers always love shower gels   skin type-dry and sensitive:( but moisturizing stuff always welcome   favorite colors-if you look at my etsy shop you can probably tell my favorite color is BLUE,,and I love knitted goods-cowls, scarves, gloves or wristwarmers!!     And you know I have much fondness for cars, for the show TOP GEAR, for all the programs on BBC AMerica (which I no longer have-grr) at this point I do not have an ereader-but at some point anticipate an ipad!!   AND ONE MORE THING_WITCHIEPOO_ I WUB YOU- JUST POKE ME IF YOU WANNA KNOW SOMETHING,OK?

I've been trying to juggle my schedule, roommates, and dog whilest still having time to sleep and possibly get in my usual routine of reading before bedtime. So far? My roommates and I are doing okay, my dog is only mostly neglected, and I definitely haven't been getting the recommended 8 hours. And the reading thing hasn't been going well at all. Lol.   I actually DID copy questions the other day! I just didn't get the chance to answer them! I really have been running around like a chicken with no head lately! I can't promise to be on-thread as much as before I got employed, but I really will try and be less MIA!   ALSO.   If you want to give me the gift that keeps on giving do you have any recommendations for comfortable shoes that are cute, not terribly hot (I run around A LOT) and can accommodate what I have lovingly nicknamed--my Filipino wedge feet? (It's so unfair, my Mom wears a 6 1/2 and has a wedge foot but since her feet are so tiny she never has a problem. I wear a hulking size 10 (sometimes 9 1/2) and my feet cannot accommodate super narrow shoes!!!) I come home after 7 hours of running around--my feet are DYING.   And you cannot entice me to wear Crocs! Lol.

Never got into them as a kid, so there’s no nostalgia factor with them for me.   I realize that we had a similar question in the ?aire, but I need you Witchee-s to list at least 5 items, each ranging $20 and under from Amazon.com or Walmart.com. 1 Already mentioned earlier, but the Human Target Season 1 DVD set. 2 3 4 5 I've bought a lot of little things recently that would probably have been on this list otherwise, so I'll have to think about this some more and come back to this question later.   My new job is at a consignment store where we have all kinds of designer brands for very reasonable prices. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? (Give some indication as to your "style" as well. For example, do you like bohemian-style frocks in lavender? Crossbody purses in black? Sunglasses that are round and bug-like?) I’m sorry, but I’m really not a designer brand person at all. Style and I are pretty much strangers to each other.   Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting? I already joined a decant circle to get the ones I was interested in.   In the meantime, let me know what you like to do on the Internet to kill time. Read fanfiction: Pet Shop of Horrors (D/Leon); Black Butler (Sebastian/Grell); Hellsing (Alucard/Integra); Real Ghostbusters (esp. Egon/Janine shippy stuff, but all of it, really); Supernatural (Dean/Jo); and the occasional Ouran High School Host Club (primarily Mori/Haruhi). I also check out nail polish blogs (especially Scrangie’s); AbsolutePunk.net; and melithiel’s ongoing translation of Toshokan Kakumei (http://toshosen-tsl.livejournal.com/) daily. (Someday I’ve really got to print out the first three volumes of the series that she’s already completed so that I have actual physical copies!)   And what are your favourite characters from your fandoms? Most of the characters I like to see shipped are my favourite characters, but in terms of absolute favourites among those listed above, I would have to say I love Grell, Janine, and Mori the best. Other than that, right now I’d like to see season 2 of Human Target, but it’s not out on DVD yet and neither Amazon nor iTunes seems to have it available to download.   are there any e-tailers you're desperately wanting to try? if so, any specific items/scents/etc? I can’t think of any that I’m desperately wanting to try, but Long Winter Soap Co. has some tempting sounding lip balms, like toffee, chai, and white chocolate. There should also be a couple of things from other e-tailers listed in my Etsy favourites.   9/25   What do you do to take care of yourself when you're having a rough day (sick, life not going your way, whatever)? I usually sleep, especially if I’m not feeling good. If it’s just a case of life not going my way, I might instead/also treat myself to more than usual amounts of junk food and do some online shopping.   Who here is going to be picking up JK Rowling's new book on Thursday Not me. Depending on the t-shirt, mostly large or extra large in standard sizes. In BPTP babydolls, XL. I think I’d love a Black Clove candle, and the Trick or Treat and Spanish Red Carnation soaps sound worth a try.   Is there something(s) that you consider too spendy or too frivolous for you to buy for yourself, but that you actually want Not really. I can justify just about anything for myself, eventually. Also, I have no significant other or children, so I don’t have to divert any money from myself toward others, which means no guilt when I buy things for myself.   Do you use or would like to try loose eyeshadow pigments? I actually bought a bunch of Fyrinnae loose eyeshadows last December, and I’ve ended up barely using any of them. I guess I just like pressed eyeshadows better – they’re so much easier/less messy to use. I think the loose pigments are beautiful, but I just don’t seem to reach for them all that often (probably because I’m always running late and in a hurry, and pressed shadows are just quicker and easier).   9/29   Would anyone like a witch pendant? I’d be interested in trying a vanilla- or spice-scented shampoo that was SLS-free, paraben-free, etc. I keep meaning to see if I can find any on etsy to try, but haven’t really put my mind or time to it.   If you like necklaces, what are some symbols or images that you would love to have a necklace depict? You can never go wrong with a bat necklace! I like owls, too. Cute frog princes and maneki neko would also be quite nice.   9/30   Do you want anything from Arcana's fall update? Nothing really caught my eye. The only Arcana scents I’ve really loved have been Swashbuckler and Spitfire, and the latter was discontinued long ago.   10/2/12   If you had a fairy for NYCC, what exclusive scent would you kill to own? None of them really grabbed me. I wouldn’t mind trying an imp or half-imp’s worth of Badgers, Nymphes de Pave, and Miss Jenny, just to see what they were like, but I don’t think any of them would be bottle purchases for me.

She returned on a day I was not there, bringing me a book about a group of regular women who made beautiful heirloom quilts. It was a great inspirational book as well as a neat oral history type deal, and she just brought me a copy because she thought I'd appreciate it. I was so blown away by that!!   Would you enjoy receiving cute but useful items like colorful kitchen utensils/gadgets, or bento supplies? (boxes, chopsticks, accessories, etc?) What about things like spice mixes (homemade, or Penzey's for example) I love kitchen items, and love to cook, but really I own so much of the stuff that I doubt there's anything I really need in utensils. I do like to switch out a decorative seasonal or holiday kitchen towel on the handle of my stove though. And I live near a Spice House which is just the Penzey kids renaming all the blends, so I already own most of those.

What do you do to take care of yourself when you're having a rough day (sick, life not going your way, whatever)? curl up on the couch with a good book, classical music, chocolate, and my cats or skip the book and watch "Phineas & Ferb." It always makes me smile. Of course there has to chocolate. Or my other favorie, call Witchbaby 43 (my sister) & whine.   favorite and least favorite baked goods? chocolate brownies, cakes, cookies. Not fond of fruit pies   what size T-Shirt do you wear (standard AND babydoll)?XXL. My boobs are 40H so they need some room.   I found a fantastic little shop while traveling that had unusual jellies and jams. Would you be interested in trying something like Georgia Moonshine Jelly or TOE Jam (each letter stands for some kind of fruit, I don't remember which ones) or something similar? How about homemade jam in general? Never tried them, but I'm game (the great thing about working in an office - I knew there had to be something - if I try something and don't like it I can feed it to them - they eat anything - sometimes it's downright scary.     Would you be interested in homemade herbal remedies and tinctures? just a note - i've now established that red tea (roohiboos or however it's spelled) is truly foul. as in two sips and i had to pour it out. just FYI.     --- Gardening?   Yus. Mostly herbs and fruits/veg. I don’t see the point in growing things that can’t be used for more than just looking pretty. Also, I can always use gardening/garden stuffs – desperately need a hand shovel and that kind of stuff. New gloves would be cool, too. --- Is there something(s) that you consider too spendy or too frivolous for you to buy for yourself, but that you actually want?   Quite a few things! A shortbread mold with thistles on it, a hello kitty bento box, a sushi rice bowl (hangiri) and cookbook, cheetah print hello kitty purse and wallet on my amazon wish list, any of the cartoon or just plain goofy (eureka, big bang theory, warehouse 13) DVDs on my amazon wishlist. --- Candied Nuts? Yus! Especially pecans.

SW Help Questions, Part 2 - Fall 2012

Is there anything you might want from the latest update (Lab or TP)? I fully expect to get myself bottles of Apple Orchard atmo, Witch Dance and Goldenrod Crab Spider. I am still considering Haitian Vetiver, and I really want Heretic, also. And: Autumn Lace!!! Please do not feel obligated on any of these, Witch! I should have plenty of time after SW is over, or please feel free to have a minion contact me use the switchywitch@gmail.com account to e-card me and let me know what I should buy.   As far as decants go, I really want to try Wolf Spider, Orb Weaver Spider, Pumpkin II, Pumpkin III, and Pumpkin V; and Satan Talks To Sin & Death and Buen Viage from the Pickman Gallery.   Is there something(s) that you consider too spendy or too frivolous for you to buy for yourself, but that you actually want? Seasons 4-8? of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on DVD. (I forget how many seasons there were. I have 1-3 already.)   Candied nuts? Sure! Not the first thing I'd pick, but I like 'em okay. Salted nuts are nice, too.   T-shirt size? A Medium or a Large, depending on the shirt.   Fave/least fave baked goods? I love cookies of all kinds, and pie is my favorite food. Least fave would probably be muffins. They're okay too, though. Baked goods are kind of awesome.   Owls?
