Switch Witch Halloweenie 2017

Hello, beloved Witch! I'm going to post q&a and any other helpful info for you here.

Wish lists
My wish list for perfume is on my ScentBase profile. By the time assignments go out, it should be up to date. Hopefully.
Amazon
Etsy

Other favorite online shops (besides bath & beauty related, which I'm sure you know urls for):
Cat Coven
Magical Omaha
Poison Apple Print Shop
Meowingtons

Q&A

Would any witchees be interested in NASA swag? I'm now super-close to Marshall Space Flight Center and will be visiting the space center with my kiddo pretty regularly. If so, what would you like? Clothes, a mug, magnets, a plush Snoopy wearing a flight suit?
Sure, that would be neat.

Does anybody like anything from Solstice Scents? I LOVE their Jack and the Devil. http://www.solsticescents.com/
I've never tried any of Solstice Scents' products, but I'm always open to being enabled.

Witchee, would you like anything from the Trading Post Halloween update? https://blackphoenix...y/weenies-2017/
Wishes are added to ScentBase. (I'm almost always ahead of these because of updating, lol.)

Awesome farmer's market by my house. They have a local honey stand (which also sells things made from local honey like Propolis tincture!); there's a small apothecary and she additionally makes soaps and hand-made, hand-poured scented candles; plus a guy that makes an array of BBQ and Hot Sauces. Does ny of this appeal? Would you like anything from my local farmer's market?
All of those sound awesome! I love farmers markets, and supporting indie farmers & other businesses.

Smolder Cosmetics. Do any of their products (glitter, eye dusts etc) appeal to you? https://smoldercosmetics.com
Those are really pretty! I wear cool colors, typically purples and pinks, although I like greens too. And sometimes I do shades of peach.

Anything from Strobe Cosmetics (http://strobecosmetics.com)?
Their eye shadows are really pretty! Color-wise, see above. I especially love things with chromatic shift.

How would you feel about getting Hello Kitty stuff?
I like Hello Kitty! Chococat is my fave, but I also like Kitty herself.

Would you like to get some favorite recipes?
Sure!

Would you like anything from my shop? https://www.etsy.com/shop/LisaNut?
What the hell... looks like Etsy's down right now. Will check back later!

Would you like anything from the Haus of Gloi Fall Part II update? https://www.hausofgl...ween-scent-list
Apple Milk sounds awesome!

How do you feel about these little guys? https://lovemomiji.c...imited-editions
They're cute, but not really my fave.

Witchees, do you want anything specifically from this page? Mitts, hat, shawls, unicorn... http://iceweasel.net/switchwitch/
I like the SFO Sky Mitts and Stormy Tarts hat.

What are your top three most wanted DC'd or previous LE BPALs?
Brom Bones (it's my fave scent on my hubby, and he's been out for ages). We also really liked DeSade. For me, MB: Underpants. I know. Laugh it up. But a girl can dream, right?

What are some things you do NOT want to receive?
Actual underpants.

Is there anything from here that you might be interested in getting a print (or pillow/make-up case/etc) of? http://www.blackabbeystudios.com/store
Spell of Ravensong is awesome! Also Triggers and Starman.

Claire's has some super cute Halloween stuff. In the style of Haunted Mansion - black lace collars, lace and sparkle masques and the like. A few items in Dias de los Muertos style. Would you be interested in such things?
Sure!

Would you be interested in anything from Orange Thyme? https://shoporangethyme.com/ If so, which products/scents/flavors?
The body butter looks nice, in any of those scents. Lip balm: coconut lemongrass, Earl Grey, rosemary mint, orange clove, vanilla coffee.

Anyone like/want calendars or dayplanners? Nah, I just use my phone.

If you like stationery, do you like plain, colors, images, or specific DON'T LIKES?
I like images, cat things especially of course. In particular, I like to have little cards on hand I can include with swaps or pop in the mail if a friend is sick or as a thank you note, etc.

What about general desk stuff like cool colored paperclips and post it pads?
Sure! I especially like cool post-its.

Would anyone be interested in having any of Abigail Larson's artwork (either as a print or on something, like a pillow, blanket, or t-shirt)? https://society6.com/abigaillarson
I love her work! Fave pieces: The Cats of Ulthar, Toil & Trouble, Asenath, Mother of Dragons, Innsmouth, Full Moon, The Black Cat, La Befana. I also like the Hades & Persephone ones but can't pick a fave.

Does anything catch your eye from Ten Thousand Villages? http://www.tenthousandvillages.com/
Nothing in particular, but I do like their stuff, yes.

Would you be into receiving hand made (crocheted, sewn, felted, chain maille, scale, or duct tape, in my case, depending on the item) dishclothes? Scarf/shawl? Hat? Bag? Anything? Colors? (Duct tape, chain maille, and scales come in colors.)
I love scarves and wrist warmers.

Do you collect anything from SBUX like City Mugs, City Mug ornaments, City Cards, or Bearistas? If so, which do you need/want? Or would you like a City Mug or an ornament for fun?
I don't collect them, but I do have a card from Hawaii that one of my besties sent me when he lived there, and it's my current fave. Any of this stuff sounds fun, though.

Anybody want homemade fudge? I can do chocolate with or without nuts, peanut butter, and butterscotch.
Peanut butter fudge is my favorite, although I like chocolate too. I can't each much of any flavor, though, because it's so rich. I've never tried butterscotch.

Do you like spicy foods? I am currently addicted to these suckers and want to send you some buffalo ridged kettle potato goodness (https://www.billygoa...shop/1lb-kicker)
Yes! Yum.

What would you like from the Weenies updatus giganticus???
I've already added them to my ScentBase wishes. (I added them all to the site when they came out the other evening, and updated my wish list while I was at it.)

Do you collect the art cards that BPAL sends out? Any in particular that you are looking for or definitely don't need?
I hang onto them, although I'm not a hoarder of them. I always pop one into swaps & such. I'm not looking for any in particular, but they're always nice to have.

Do you like this beautiful art, and she makes stickers and prints...SOOOO gorgeous: https://www.shannatr...om/paperprints/
I'm sure my witch can guess at this point that my favorite is Nostalgia (the black cat). Gorgeous! I also like Corvid Love, Raposa's Garden and Sky Prism.

Favorite animals or wild creatures or mythological creatures?
Cats of course (of all sizes), wolves, foxes, crows, bats, owls. Mythologically, the Cait Sidhe, Dragons! Given my work with Hecate, I'm also warming up to other serpents.

Would you like any swag from the Depeche Mode concert? (pins, posters, shirts, program, dunno what they'll have!)
Yesssss!

Is anyone interested in the new Resistance scents that the Lab just released (Take a Knee and SN: Flor de Maga)?
Yes, especially Take a Knee. I have Bluebonnet, which surprisingly works for me, although florals usually don't.

Is anyone here into zero waste, plastic free living, urban homesteading, or any simplicity/minimalism-esque lifestyles? If so, could you use any tools or equipment?
Not really, although we do grow our own herbs and some veggies, and we compost. Don't think we really need tools for that.

Are you interested in anything from Bath & Bodyworks? Which products and scents do you like? www.bathandbodyworks.com/
Nah, they're not my fave.

I am possibly going to a crystal / gem show tomorrow. I can't afford expensive gem stones, but... What kind of crystals would you like?
Something that I don't have would be nice, or a cool piece in one of my favorite stones. Here's what I currently have (faves marked with *): Moss Agate, Amazonite, Amethyst, Apache Tear, Aquamarine, Bloodstone, Blue Calcite, Blue Chalcedony, Chiastolite, Citrine, Dragonstone*, Emeralid, Fluorite**, Garnet, Ocean Jasper, Picasso Jasper, Rainforest Jasper, Wine Jasper, Labradorite***, Lapis Lazuli, Lepidolite, Malachite, Moonstone***, Snowflake Obsidian, Quartz, Rose Quartz, Strawberry Quartz*, Rhodocrosite, Rhodonite**, Sapphire, Shungite, Tiger's Eye*, Black Tourmaline.

Pumpkin or Zucchini bread?
Pumpkin! I do like zucchini bread too though.

What kind of homemade cookies are your favorite?
Made by someone else (because I'm not good at making these)? Pumpkin, snickerdoodle, or peanut butter. Made by me? Chocolate chip w/ pecans.

Could you use a muscle rub? (We make ours on the lunar cycle and it has menthol, wintergreen, habanero, cayenne, olive oil, st. john's wort, arnica, beeswax, calendula, and ginger. It tingles. We call it "Thunder Butter". If you have really really super sensitive skin, I would recommend against it. And don't take a hot shower or open all of your pores before using it.)
I have pretty sensitive skin, so probably not the best idea for me.

Interested in trying some of our rose petal (rose petals, sugar, everclear) or lavender vanilla bean (lavender, vanilla bean, vodka) liqueur?
Yes! Lavender vanilla bean sounds great.

Want some honey from the bees on our property?
Yum!

Would you like some homemade jam? I have blackberry, rose petal, strawberry rhubarb, peach, and cherry.
Blackberry, peach and strawberry rhubarb sound great.

How about some homemade candied jalapenos with garlic cloves? I have regular and with habanero.
Yum!

I didn't dry any apples this year but I was thinking of heading over to Green Bluff and seeing if any honeycrisps are left. I have a commercial dehydrator so let me know if you are interested in any "Apple Crips" (as voodoocatwoman calls them!) I wash, peel, core, and slice before dehydrating.
I would totally nom those.

Do you need any kind of dice bag, tote, project bag, cosmetic bag, pencil bag, or whatever? I have lots of bag patterns and fabric. We make bags under the name Twinkle N Twilight.
Or how about a couple of pillowcases?
I can always use a cute tote to take to the farmers market / grocery store. Pretty happy with my pillow cases (I have the cool moon phases ones from Sin & Linen).

Do you like to take baths? if so, do you like oils, salts, things that fizz, all of the above, none of the above?
I do. (It's a pain in the ass because our water pressure is awful, so it takes forever to fill the tub and by the time it's full it's not hot anymore. I end up heating water in a big pot on the stove and lugging it upstairs so it will be warm enough – so Victorian!). And I like all of the above.

What style/make/etc of phone do you have? What about size of tablet? Laptop? Would you like decals, skins, or cases for any of these?
I have an iPhone 7, but I'm planning on upgrading to the iPhone X next month. I have an iPad Pro (the big one) and a 27" iMac (late 2015 model). I have MacBook Pro, but my hubby uses it more than I do now that I have the iMac, because he handles most of our meetings & sales-y stuff. I would love a cool skin or decal for the iPad or iMac tho.

Would my witchee like this to warm up the fall coffee cup?? https://www.truelemonstore.com/category-s/1871.htm
Yum!

See's Candy. My absolute favorite. They have special Halloween candy..any of these pique your interest?? Cinnamon Apple Scotch Mallows, Pumpkin spice truffles, pumpkinspice lollypops, caramel apple lollypops, or any other of their chocolates, etc?
Yes! Yum.

Are any witchees into coloring books? Yes

Witchees, is there anything that catches your eye at Animi Causa (https://www.animicausa.com/shop/)?
Not especially.

If I were to find an adorable autumnal/Halloween-y dish/flatware/etc. design, how many settings would be needed in your household?
Just two.

Do you like Broadway shows/music? If so what are some of your favorites and/or ones that you hope to see or listen to eventually? Would you like merch from your favorite shows or CDs from shows you want to listen to?
Generally speaking, no, although there are a few that I like. I would love to see Hamilton; I've listed to the soundtrack and watched some videos and it looks great.

I'm heading to NYCC in October! Is there anything I can get my Witchee while I'm there?
These sound nice: Apple Marshmallow hair gloss, Apple IV, VI & VII. And anything cool from comics or other fandoms I'm into would be awesome.

I'm going to Edmonton Expo this weekend (It's Edmonton's version of comic con). Would a witchee like anything from there?
Sure! See above.

[b[Anything catch your eye from this site (globalgirlfriend.com)?[/b]
They have nice scarves and jewelry.

Do you have any favorite, lesser-known stores? Especially ones that sell hand-crafted or independently made items.
Have I mentioned my obsession with Cat Coven? And this is one of my favorite Etsy shops: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DeBaunFineCeramics

Imagine you're going to the most gigantic art & craft show imaginable, and money is no object - what kind of things would you gravitate towards and probably spend money on? Include as specific as you want to get!
Stones/crystals, pottery, small home goods like candle holders and such.

Are you interested in anything from Think Geek? http://www.thinkgeek.com
Sure! Wish list.

Do you have something you wish you put on your original questionnaire/forgot to put/would like to add on to?
Um.... not sure right now, but if I think of something, I'll add it to the top of my list. Maybe the what-do-you-collect question: I kind of (very selectively) collect POP figures.

Any additional misc. information about yourself you want your Witch to know? (I think this was on the survey, but again if there's something that you forgot...)
See above.

If you could decorate your house (or one room) in any one theme, what would it be? Your answer can be as simple ("Star Wars" or "Baroque" or "Modern"), or complicated or a combination (e.g. Victorian Gothic) as you feel best fits.
Modern rustic witch maybe? LOL.

Aprons: Do you wear them, do you want one? Utility, decorative, cooking or crafting?
Nope.

BTW, would my witchee be interested in something like this? (photo of black and white striped knitted doll)
Sure!

It seems like there's a question about socks on the questionnaire, but I don't think it got down to this level: Do you wear them? Any particular style (crew length, knee high, anklet, boot, etc.) or fiber (wool, cotton, bamboo anything but wool, etc.) preference?
I wear socks with boots in fall / winter, and occasionally other times. I do have a Sock Dreams wish list.

Would you be open to previously-loved books? Of course!

What about partial-full bottles of BPAL or BPTP? Sure!

So what are your favorite fandoms?
There are so many, and you can probably get those from my books / authors / etc. lists.

I'm in France at the moment, is there anything here you might like? I'm in Provence, the land of lavender, so if you like that flower in particular just say so!
Wow! Sure. I would say wine & cheese, but those might be a PITA to ship. Really, any cool little thing would be wonderful.

Are you into divination? What kind(s) do you currently do? Do you want more books and/or tools for that type (e.g. new tarot cards, new runes)? Is there a new type of #divination you've been meaning to try, and if so, are you looking for the tool, a book on the subject, or both?
Yes!!! All the yes. Here are the tarot decks that I currently have: The Lumina Tarot, The Marseille Cat Tarot, The Art Nouveau Tarot, The Wild Unknown Tarot, Tales of the Mystical Cats, Spirit Cats (oracle deck), The Tarot of Pagan Cats, The Earthbound Oracle, The Cleopatra Tarot, The Vertigo Tarot, Gateway to the Divine Tarot, Revelations Tarot, The Amanda Palmer Tarot. I am trying, as you might guess at this point, to find all the cats deck I can.

I also have a pendulum, a set of witch's runes, and a scrying mirror that I've just started working with. I don't have a lot of experience with any of these, so any sort of tool, info or literature on those would be helpful, in particular for the runes and pendulum.

ETA: And I just got a set of Ogham discs from the latest Crone's Crate! I don't know anything about these. Should be fun to check out.

World my Witchee be interested in a Tarot or Astrology reading done personally?
Sure! I'm pretty good with both of these but it's always useful to get another's perspective. I was born 2/1/79 at 1:10 pm in Norton, VA, USA. In case you want to do anything synastry-wise (which I would love to learn more about), my husband was born 2/17/73 at 7am in Tampa, FL, USA.

Does my Witchee need any magical supplies?
That would be fabulous. I always need more stones / crystals (some faves: labradorite, purple/green fluorite, moonstone, rhodonite; if you wanted to send me something I don't have, poke me, and I'll make a list . Herbs are always good too, particularly things I can't grow here (things I grow and therefore always have on hand: sage, rosemary, thyme, basil, wormwood, rue, pennyroyal, bergamot, betony, feverfew). Little bottles for storing herbs are great too (all mine are full). Incense or incense paraphernalia. Really, whatever you thought would be cool to send would be appreciated and used. I know that some people like to choose all their own altar tools and such, but I think that receiving things like that as a gift imbues them with more significance than something I just bought on Etsy. And I'm also very open to old things / (inexpensive) antiques for this purpose.

Would you be interested in any of the seasonal (or regular) soaps from Cellar Door Soap (https://cellardoorbathsupply.com)?
Lawd, yes! Scents that look most enticing: Dead Man's Bones, October Road, Moonrise Bonfire, Midnight Mocha, Apple Fest, Pumpkin Guts, Samhain Hard Cider, Pumpkin Chai Latte.

Favorite gemstones?
Labradorite, moonstone (rainbow, black, peach... all of them), fluorite, emerald, amber (yes, yes, not a gemstone), garnet. I'm crazy about rhodonite right now too.

If you enjoy jewelry do you like discrete and elegant, flashy and gaudy, small and light, or large and chunky?
It depends on the piece, I think. I'd check out my Etsy lists for examples of things I like.

Any love of pirates or SCA?
I've never participated in SCA, although I've always found it intriguing. I like pirates just fine too.

Is there anything you would like from Disney World?
Fave Disney characters: Maleficient, Marie (from the Aristocats), Eeyore, or Star Wars or Marvel stuff.

Are you a Potterhead? If so, to which house do you belong?
Yes! I'm Ravenclaw.

How do you feel about chokers?
It depends on how comfy they are.

Would you like some Halloween or other themed decor in the form of a banner, something like this http://www.etsy.com/...n-decor-vintage?If so, would you prefer a traditional style or a vertical door type?
I prefer the vertical door type.

Do you live near a Trader Joe's? If not, are you interested in trying any of the numerous Pumpkin goodies they come out with this time every year?
The closest TJ's is an hour and a half away, so I don't get to visit very often. And OMG YES ALL THE PUMPKIN THINGS! (Yeah yeah, "so basic," but if loving pumpkin is wrong, I don't wanna be right.)

Do you like to cook and/or bake? Could you use any specific ingredients (spices, oils, salts, extracts, etc.) or kitchen utensils/gadgets?
My hubby is more the chef than me, except when it comes to baking. Spices and such would definitely get used, though, particularly things you can't find at just any grocery (examples: galangal, The Ingredient Which Cannot Be Found; curry leaves, which I can find but have to make a special trip). And I love hot sauce.

I'm at Ocean City MD for bike week......would a witches want anything from here? Bike or beach related??
Sure! Beachy things like shells would be fun.

What is 1 thing you would love to see in your final box? Can be ANYTHING - your choice.
Salted caramels

Who would love some USPS eclipse stamps?
That would be fun!

Do any of you potential Witchees have any kitties, puppers, or youngling humans you want spoiled in your packages? What treats or toys do they like?
I included my furbabes in my questionnaire. And yes, if you're so inclined. I think I have the feather toys my kitties prefer on my Amazon list (lol) and I can also use the narrow version of the corrugated cardboard scratchers. And the puppy! Lupa is 9 months old and still very chewy, so she needs toys. The problem is our big girl, Veela, likes to turn things into pieces of things. Like, in a matter of minutes. I really can't exaggerate how destructive she is. So anything we get has to be super sturdy. As an example, we've had some luck with the Kong Wubba toys (the really tough ones, not the plush ones). Also, no ropes (Veela tears them apart in 5 minutes and tends to swallow the strings... if you have dogs, you can imagine the results ).

Is there any interest in any of the fragrance oils from the Nocturne Alchemy Weenies update?
Yes! They're one of my favorite etailers. I ordered Black Cats, Hallowcats, and Every Pumpkin Counts... but there are so many lovelies! I'll add any others I'm interested in to ScentBase wishes.

Is there anything you want from the trading post (or trading post etsy) that is available to order right now? (Fatherhood, Puppers, normal GC things)
Yes! On ScentBase wishes.

Are you a gamer? If so, what games are you currently playing and is there any merch for that game you'd love to have?
I'm currently mostly into ESO, although I pop into WoW occasionally too (I'm in that bored-with-this-expansion phase). My other fave is Final Fantasy XIV. Can't wait for the next Dragon Age game. In general, I like RPGs, MMORPGs and survival horror (although there's none of the latter that I'm playing at the moment).

If you are a gamer do you have a steam/gamestop/amazon wishlist?
I do have a Steam wishlist. Not sure how to share it, but I have one. User cammycat79.

How do you feel about the following scarf options (assuming you're into scarves)? Simple eyelet scarf - Pretty Chevron scarf - I'm not crazy about the chevron points at the bottom. Lacy and fuzzy - Pretty Skinny rib knit (extra long for lots of wrapping) - Very nice and snuggly looking Leafy! - My favorite of the lot

Like beer? What styles most appeal to you?
Yes. My favorites are: sours (think more Flemish sour than, say, that watermelon gose crap); various Belgian styles; Lambics (but not usually cherry); German hefeweisens; stouts (but not Imperials); ambers and browns, particularly nut browns. I'm not a big fan of IPAs and other really hoppy styles.

Like booze? What kinds?
NOT RUM. Anything but rum, lol. It gives me headaches (as in, one drink will give me a headache). Faves: Scotch, bourbon, good tequila, vodka. In terms of liqueurs, I like Baileys (or other Irish Creams), Chambord (or similar), Kahlua, various absinthe-like things.

Like Wine? What kinds?
So very much. I'm a huge wine nerd. Cabernet Franc is my favorite varietal, followed by Mourvedre / Monastrell. Geographically, I tend to favor Italians, and wines from Oregon (particularly their Pinot Noirs) and Washington. I love tart or dry German Reisling (Kabinett or drier), especially the tart ones (yes, I like my Reisling to basically taste like Sweet Tarts; so sue me). I'm a big fan of rosé (not that White Zinfandel bullshit; real rosés), particularly those made from Cab. In general, I prefer old world style reds. I like them complex and interesting. This isn't to say that I don't like new world stuff, because I do, but I prefer they not be too jammy / fruit bomb-y. I drink less white wine than red, but I do like it, particularly French whites. I rarely like sweet or dessert wines. I rarely like Sauvignon Blanc, because I don't like the "green bell pepper" note that so many of them have.

Oh but wait! Whoever came up with these three questions forgot my other beverage love: CIDER! This is the best cider on the planet. My personal fave is the Stayman Winesap, followed by First Fruit. In general, I prefer cider made champegnoise style like this one (which is not to say I won't drink others).

Would you be interested in a set of hand-made hair falls? It's something I do for fun and I can make any length and do an array of colors!
Sure! I typically keep my hair dyed some sort of fun color. Right now I have galaxy hair in blue, magenta, and purples.

For those who watch certain movies every year for Halloween, what are those movies, whether horror or not? Any favorite horror movies that aren't necessarily on the annual-viewing list? How do you feel about fan-made merch for these movies?
I always watch Trick 'r Treat, Nightbreed,

Here's a great local soapmaker I love--y'all see anything you would like? https://littleseedfarm.com
The liquid soap in Rosemary Mint sounds nice, and the activated charcoal detox scrub.

What are your favorite/preferred Halloween/autumn icons/images? Any to specifically stay away from?
Black cats (of course!), witchy things, crows, bats, pumpkins & pretty leaves. I am not a fan of spiders.

Do you eat candy, and if so would Halloween candy be welcome? Specialty candy from local or unusual sources? Chocolate?
Yes, and yes. I would love love love specialty candy from local or unusual sources (generally speaking, I am a fan of just about everything from local or unusual sources; I love to support small / indie businesses). And I do like chocolate.

Do you want Fidget spinners, desk toys, or other frivolous things that you look at and decide you don't need enough to spend $ on but would make you happy to have?
Sure!

Any zentangle lovers, people who would like to try it, or would you want a piece of someone else's zentangle art?
It's pretty but not really for me.

Any love of hair toys, clips, ribbons, fascinators, mini hats, etc?
Any hair thing for me needs to be able to cope with fine hair, otherwise it will just slide out. I do like fascinators and comfy-but-pretty headbands I can wear to yoga or out hiking.

What local goodies may be of interest? Local Honey, jams, candy?
Yes! See above question re: candy. I like honey too. But really anything.

Are you interested in any prescription subscription services like serial magazines, Birch box, ipsy?
I used to get Ipsy and liked it. I wouldn't mind trying something similar, skin care / beauty related. Or something cat related. Or witchy. Right now I get Magickal Folk's eclectic witchery kit, which I really like.

Would you like funky Halloweenie costume makeup like Gothic eyelashes, nail effects, black lipstick, etc.?
Things like nail polish / decals / etc. would be ok, but nothing that goes on skin. My skin is too sensitive.

How do you like to listen to music? CD, 8 track tape, mix tape, Pandora or Spotify, I-tunes?
I collect records! That's my favorite way, although given money and space constraints, I only buy things I really love in that format. Otherwise, I listen to mp3s using iTunes or Amazon Music (I have an Echo, so I either buy from Amazon or copy things I buy through iTunes to my Amazon account), or listen to Pandora.

Do you prefer reading on Kindle or actual book? What kind of books do you like? Would you like to be surprised with a scary, classic, horror book?
Usually I prefer Kindle books (although I can use any ebook format, and also have the Nook app, so no worries there if you hate Amazon, dear witch; I know some people do). I prefer any kind of book that I might be flipping back and forth in for reference in print (examples: any kind of reference book, cookbooks, etc.). I often by books by favorite authors in print too. In any case, my Amazon list has the preferred format, or should. If you're not sure, just ask! And yes, I would love to be surprised with a scary, classic horror book. I'm sure you can get a good idea of my tastes from my Goodreads.

Candles, Incense, or wax tarts? Do you have favorite brands or Weenies scents for the home? Would you like to receive a wax tarts burner, incense burner, essential oils diffuser, or Halloweenie themed candle holders?
In order of preference: candles, incense, wax tarts. I LOVE Sihaya & Co.'s candles; they're my favorites. I would love an essential oils diffuser (I don't have one) or Halloweenie candle holders. FYI, I also do loose incense, so in terms of accessories, I can always use charcoal tabs too.

Witchee: are you interested in crafting materials?
Sure. I can always use things like: small cloth bags in various colors (think the size of the velvet-y bags you sometimes get from the Lab)

I'm in Japan, is there anything specific from here you would want?
Cute things! Particularly cute cat things, or fox things. I love Totoro. Also any fun sheet masks or other Asian beauty goodies (particularly cute ones, lol). I'm also open to snacks.

How do you feel about nail wraps?
They're fun.

If you were to receive something hand knit, what type of item would you like? hat, cowl, handwarmers, etc. and what color(s)?
I would love a scarf or handwarmers. My usual favorite colors from the questionnaire are always a safe bet, but I'm also really into wine shades right now. Miss Twilight posted this pic on Instagram, and I am in love with that yarn. So pretty!

- would you use knitted washcloths? a scarf? Are you allergic or sensitive to any fibers?
I love scarves. I would be open to trying a knitted washcloth, if the yarn is very soft. I'm weirdly sensitive to acrylics, so natural fibers are best. For the washcloth in particular, probably something really gentle like cotton, because I'd mostly be using it when I wash my face.

If you could be ANY character from a film, TV show or book, who would it be and why?
Not any specific character, but I wish I was one of the Cait Sidhe (from Seanan McGuire's October Daye series). If you've read the series, the why is obvious, but if not: they're fae cats who can shapeshift into human form.

If you could hop into a time machine and travel anywhere/anytime, where would it be and why?
I'm not one of those people who thinks "I was born in the wrong era" or whatever. Things aren't perfect now, but they were even shittier for women in the past. The only thing I can think of is I might travel back a few decades to see a band I love and have never / will never get to see play live (Joy Division, for example), as long as I could hop right back here. I wouldn't mind skipping 45's entire presidency, either, except I'm too afraid I'd go forward and find he's nuked us all. Sigh. Moving right along.

If you could invite 3 famous people to a BPAL meet and sniff, who would invite?
I'd rather meet fellow BPAListas I only know online than meet a celebrity. Except maybe Seanan McGuire, because I happen to know she's a fan, so she'd probably enjoy a meet & sniff.

Do you like and/or want anything from Elements and Artifacts? You can be vague like "yes" or "no" or name specific past pieces you coveted or current ones you love, whatever works best.
Yes! I love Alicia's work. For stylistic reference, I added the ones I have to my Purchased Loves list on Etsy. The Triple Moon is my current favorite. I'm also crazy about the pumpkin earrings she does in the fall.

Would you like something hand sewn by your Witch? A dress, shirt, skirt, infinity scarf, something else?
A scarf would be great. Ooh, or a tarot cloth! I've been trying to find something I like.

Anyone want any kind of costuming accessories or makeup or odds and ends?
I don't think I need anything right now. I have a plan coming together.

Anyone like handmade critters, stuffed animals, or custom repaints?
Sure!

Would you enjoy any designer/specialty yarn for your own craftyness?
I'm still trying to learn to knit, so no. Save the fancy stuff for when I finally figure it out.

Would anyone like a donation made in their name to a cause or charity?
That would be super sweet. Favorites: Big Cat Rescue, Best Friends Animal Society, Planned Parenthood, Black Lives Matter, Southern Poverty Law Center, the Innocence Project.

Please provide wishes from the last two updates?
Should be on my wish list at ScentBase. I'm also getting decants from Fatherhood, so once I try them, I will add accordingly. And let's not forget that Weenies are not live yet (and I am dying to see them; it's my favorite update of the year).

Do you enjoy stationery? I'm thinking cute/quality notebooks, washi tape, stickers, fun pens etc.
Yes. I'm particularly fond of things like cute (but still styled / large enough to be useful) post-its and stickers. I love pens too, but I'm a little particular about them. My handwriting is basically illegible with larger-point pens, so I go for the really fine point ones (0.5 or less). It can be kind of hard to find good ones.

Are you interested in anything from Cocoa Pink? I wouldn't mind trying their Coco Mango Butter.

- Or Haus of Gloi? I am slightly obsessed with Pumpkin Butter. YMMV, but it's the best body butter I've used (and I have dry skin, so I've tried a lot). Ghost Puffs is one of my favorite scents! I just got a sample of Grimoire and really liked it too, and I'd love to try Pumpkin Cake Pops, Hex, Salted Caramel, and Candy Corn. Product-wise (aside from beloved pumpkin butter and of course perfume), I love whipped soap (when they're available) and I'd love to try their bathing dust, hair oil, or scrub.

Would you be interested in a Halloween wreath? Yes! I love having a nice door wreath.

Are you interested in anything from the Moonalisa Halloween update? Sure! Things that look especially nice: lip butters, shower gel, butter cream, bath soaks, candles... well, pretty much anything except the hair conditiner. I *really want* to try these indie conditioners and shampoos, but my hair is color treated (very color treated, as you will see if you check out my Instagram and such), and they never list whether their products are color safe or not, so I don't risk it. :/

What are your coffee and/or tea preferences?
Coffee: Whole beans, and I prefer medium-to-dark roasts. Some faves for reference: This is my local coffee hookup, and I am obsessed with Monsoon Malabar, Mysore Nuggets, and Espresso Milano. So roasts in that vein would be awesome.

Tea: Black, green, white, herbal, I like them all. I like Chai too. Here's the description of one of my faves, Black Cats & Pointy Hats by Dryad Tea: "All things autumn, mulled spices and apples. Delightful with honey and great to drink as crisp leaves fall from trees ready to sleep for the season." Gadgetry-wise, the only thing I can think of would be one of those tea travel mug type things.

How would you feel about receiving a hand-painted container for your bpal and/or other treasures? That would be so fabulous!

- would you want a big wood box (~50 bottles), a small wood box (~20 bottles) or a tin for carrying imps around? Probably the larger box would be best, lol.

Who is into K-Beauty (Korean beauty products like sheet masks) Me me me me me!

- What are your faves if you are? Ingredient-wise, I'm all about snail good & ferments. Some fave products: Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream & Snail Recovery Gel Cream; Manyo Factory Lactobacillus Bifida Mist (Pumpkin ferment! And you remember I said I love pumpkin butter? I am a firm believer in all things pumpkin, and they also have a pumpkin ferment serum I'd love to try); Acwell 5.5 Bubble Free pH Balancing Cleanser; Neogen BioPeel pads (I like the wine ones best); RE:P's Bio Fresh Mask with Calming Herb; and practically anything Klairs makes. I have sensitive skin that tends toward dryness, and Klairs, RE:P, and Neogen have been really good to me on that front. I love them. I love sheet masks too.

- Some stuff I would like to try: I'm hearing a lot about camellia oil, and would love to try one of those products. I'd also like to try more of the bath & body K-Beauty stuff.

What are some NEW things you've gotten interested in this year? Could be anything, from a new hobby, new genre of book, new healthy way of living, new fav brand of whatever...
~ WARNING: WITCHY STUFF AHEAD ~
Probably the most significant / important thing is that I'm studying the Sorcery of Hekate with Jason Miller. So, working to build a relationship with her and be initiated into her mysteries. I'm an eclectic solitary practitioner, and this is really the first formalized tradition I've worked in. It was an investment, and I waffled about it for ages before signing up at the last minute, but I'm really glad I did.

I also took Aeolian Heart's astrology course DISCOVERY, and again, that was awesome. I had taken her free HEARTBEAT email course previously, and learned a lot, but DISCOVERY gave me a much more in-depth knowledge of not only "how to read an astrological chart," but also how to work with astrological forces in witchery. I feel like I've totally leveled up.

~ NON-WITCHY STUFF ~
K-Beauty! I've always been into skincare, but this has really upped my game.

Yoga: this is not new, but several years ago my yoga teacher stopped teaching when she had a baby... and she never came back to teaching. I'd made friends among the small group of us who took her classes, and although I still see them occasionally, it definitely hasn't been the same. I was really, really upset, actually. I have social anxiety, and it's hard for me to make friends, so I took it pretty hard. And trying to find a new class, having to deal with being "the new person" again, felt kind of overwhelming. Anyway, I've really wanted to go back, and when I started working with a friend who's a life coach, she was super encouraging and helped me get over my bullshit and try out a new studio... which I love. I'm super happy to be practicing again, and I've made some new yoga friends there, and even have my husband coming in with me once a week.

What are your feelings about Scooby Doo? It was one of my favorite, if not the favorite, cartoons growing up. I love it.

How do you feel about indie makeup (read: loose eyeshadow, blush, highlighter)? Yay! I love it. I've been wanting to try Black Moon Cosmetics. I like Rituel de Fille, although I don't like how pricey they are. I also got a really great liquid lipstick from Notoriously Morbid in a Sihaya & Co. box and I love it. It's one of very few liquid lipsticks I've tried that I like, so I'd love to try more of their stuff.

I drink this stuff almost everyday would anyone else be interested in trying it out? www.criobru.com Sure! Sounds interesting.

Would you like one of the Halloween Teeturtle shirts? OMG yes! (Women's Ultra Slim L) Faves:
https://www.teeturtle.com/products/spooky-kitties?variant=44423679241
https://www.teeturtle.com/products/spellbound?variant=44569082633
https://www.teeturtle.com/products/howl-at-the-moon?variant=44553236937
https://www.teeturtle.com/products/batty-for-you?variant=44500139849
https://www.teeturtle.com/products/dia-de-los-foxes?variant=44426482185

Would you be interested in things from Future Primitive?
Sure! I'd love to try the body whip, whipped soap, or body polish. Scents that look interesting: Pumpkin'ead, Pumpkin Eater, Dust Witch, Toffee Moon Face

Are there any UK things you'd like to get? Sure! Can't think of specific wishes off the top of my head, but chocolates and other snackies are always great, or anything cool from little indie producers (like Future Primitive above) that I might not be able to get here would be really cool.

Are you into podcasts? If so, what are your favorites? Would you like any merch related to any of them?
I'm way into podcasts. Faves: My Favorite Murder, The Black Tapes, Tanis, Welcome to Night Vale, King Falls AM, Small Town Horror, Last Podcast on the Left, Up and Vanished, Crime Town, Pagan Gumbo.

And my new favorite that I'm loving so so much: Steal the Stars. So well produced, such good acting. And it's a discrete story, not an ongoing series, that's more like an old-fashioned radio play (there's no "this is a podcast" element to the fiction; it's just audio drama).

And yes! I love podcast merch.

Would you like something from Nui Cobalt Designs? Or maybe some of Christina's lovely Halloween candles at Sihaya & Co.?
I have everything I need right now, I think... I'm obsessed with those candles, though. Obsessed.

ILNP? Who would love one of their awesome holos like MEGA or one of their amazing chromes?
Wow! I've never tried their polish before but it looks beautiful. Some colors that look tempting: Black Orchid, Undenied, Peace, Chleo, Moonstone, Deja Vu, Interstellar, Poetry, Lilac Bridges

Are there any hobbies or crafts you've been thinking of trying, but haven't had the chance yet?
None that I can think of.

Would you want to receive a custom spell kit or magical tea? If so, what purpose would you want it to be for?
That would be great! Something to help see / connect with spirits.

Do you like poetry? I love it.

Switch Witch '17: It's Happening

INTRO: Here's my Amazon wishlist: http://amzn.com/w/6D1ZI60Y3H6P Here's Modcloth (which hopefully I'll update soon... I know Modcloth's stuff is expensive and sells out quickly, but I thought it might be helpful to give you an idea of what I like) etsy is unfortunately another story. My etsy faves are not public, so I can just try listing some ~$30-&-under things I like there (etsy is having a sale as I type this, so it's possible the prices may be slightly higher by the time you look, sorry)... black spinel hoops, poppy seed earrings, triangle hoops, cat shoelace charms, red stone ring, cat ring, popcorn lip balm, grey holo polish, nocturn alley candle.

Oh, and I should mention... I actually enjoy answering the in-thread questions and copying/pasting them here, but I may ignore questions if a.] I've already written a detailed response about them in the initial questionnaire (which I think applies for things like coffee/tea preferences) or b.] they are about something I'm not interested in at all and have already indicated as such (so that would apply to questions about things like DVDs or nail wraps, which seem common). However, Dear Witch, please don't hesitate to ask for more information/clarification if you need it, I'll be happy to help.

Do you enjoy stationery? I'm thinking cute/quality notebooks, washi tape, stickers, fun pens etc.
Sure! Here's a place I order stationery from sometimes: Kawaii Gifts.

Are you interested in anything from Cocoa Pink?
- Or Haus of Gloi?
Cocoa Pink: Wow, too many scents! I guess I'd give the Whipped Dream or Voluptuous Body Butter a try. From a quick scan, Genevieve, Phantom Kiss, and Sensory Deprivation Tank sound like they could be promising scents.
Haus of Gloi: I have tried their soaps, lip balms, and pumpkin butter before and I like them all. But I think I'm good on everything other than soap, and the soaps always seem to be sold out now. Oh, the Cozy Sweater candle sounds nice though, so maybe that?

Would you be interested in a Halloween wreath?
I definitely would as long as it's not overly Nightmare-Before-Christmas like one of the pictured ones is.

Are you interested in anything from the Moonalisa Halloween update?
I'd try the "4in1" product... maybe the Full Moon scent would be good?

What are your coffee and/or tea preferences?
Skipping as answered thoroughly in original questionnaire!

How would you feel about receiving a hand-painted container for your bpal and/or other treasures?
- would you want a big wood box (~50 bottles), a small wood box (~20 bottles) or a tin for carrying imps around?
Big box or small box would work.

Who is into K-Beauty (Korean beauty products like sheet masks)
Not my thing.

What are some NEW things you've gotten interested in this year? Could be anything, from a new hobby, new genre of book, new healthy way of living, new fav brand of whatever...
Nothing comes to mind though I'm sure there's something... I can come back to this later in my blog I guess.

What are your feelings about Scooby Doo?
I guess it's sort of fun to make fun of, but even that seems overdone at this point, so I've probably already given enough info here.

How do you feel about indie makeup (read: loose eyeshadow, blush, highlighter)?
I don't wear blush or highlighter, and I feel like the way I usually receive loose eyeshadow is the opposite of user-friendly (it's usually in a tiny baggie and I don't really want to mess with that). If you have some loose eyeshadow you think I'd like and it's actually in a little pot or whatever, I wouldn't mind receiving it.

I drink this stuff almost everyday would anyone else be interested in trying it out? https://www.criobru.com/
Sure, that sounds very interesting.

Would you like one of the Halloween Teeturtle shirts?
I think I already mentioned liking the Dia De Los Foxes one and the women's relaxed fit. I guess size-wise XL would be safest... from the measurements it looks like an L would fit, but someone said they run small, so I guess I'd err on the side of caution.

New question: Sooo... have you seen this!? And what would you like?
Yes, I saw that on facebook awhile back. I'd try any jelly bomb or bubble bar listed.

Would you be interested in things from Future Primitive?
Their soaps all sound quite nice, so sure, I wouldn't mind trying them.

Are there any UK things you'd like to get?
My husband mentioned a travel guide to Wales? Whenever I get this question, the only thing I think of is Crunchie.

New question: Are you into podcasts? If so, what are your favorites? Would you like any merch related to any of them?
No, I still don't really know what they are even though people have tried to explain them to me at least twice. So they must not be for me.

New question: Would you like something from Nui Cobalt Designs? Or maybe some of Christina's lovely Halloween candles at Sihaya & Co.?
Nui Cobalt: Justice, Liberty, and Health candles sound nice.
Sihaya: Scrying Stone and Sisterhood of the Moon candles sound nice.

ILNP? Who would love one of their awesome holos like Mega, or beautiful chromes??
They all look really lovely. Ava is catching my eye today, but really any of them!

* I am not really a hobbies, crafts, or socks person, but I think all of that is covered in my initial questionnaire.

Would you want to receive a custom spell kit or magical tea? If so, for what purpose would you want it to be made?
I need people to talk to and I need my job to become reasonable (as in, there's too much work to go around right now and not enough guidelines), could you help with either of those?

Do you like poetry?
I may be over-thinking this question but I'm having trouble figuring out what it's getting at, as most people like some sort of poetry, be it rap lyrics, Robert Frost, or Rimbaud. I do like some poetry but I can't think of any poetry-related items that I would like to obtain right now.

Anyone like handmade critters, stuffed animals, or custom repaints?
The first 2 things sound okay, maybe not the last one.

Would anyone like a donation made in their name to a cause or charity?
Last year I mentioned the Lilith Fund and my Witch made a donation there, still a worthy cause for sure.

Please provide wishes from the last two updates? Some of us, some where, somehow can obtain those desired scents!
Hmm... which last 2 updates? From the BPAL Liliths I wouldn't mind decants or 1/2 decants of Storyboard: Julius Caesar and Vampire Princess since I was curious about them but didn't get them, but I wasn't really interested in anything from the BPTP "Dog Days" one. Hoping for BPTP Liliths soon!

Question! I'm in Japan, is there anything specific from here you would want?
I'm one of the many fans of green tea kitkats. I also really like Meltykiss Chocolate... I've tried some of the unusual flavors before like Milk Tea and liked them. I've already mentioned liking Japanese stickers and stationery and such. And... I do like My Melody and Chococat Sanrio-wise, and these kitties San-X-wise.

I live in too warm of a climate for most knitted items... about the only thing I can think of that I'd actually get use of would be something like a cup cozy or whatever (like, a thing that goes on a hot mug or travelcup so that it's easier to hold... I bought a past swap partner a cute one from etsy before), and I'd be pretty open about color/style for that sort of thing... I mean, not neon colors I guess, but whatever else should be fine.

Elements & Artifacts: silver squirrel earrings apparition necklace

Here's a great local soapmaker I love--y'all see anything you would like? https://littleseedfarm.com/
The deodorant cream sounds interesting -- I'd try any of the scents. The liquid soap sounds nice in anything but the patchouli scent. For bar soaps, the "Bearwalker Beer Bar" sounds great, as does the Cocoa Spice.

What are your favorite/preferred Halloween/autumn icons/images? Any to specifically stay away from?
Though I no longer actually like to eat candy corn, I like it as a decor theme. I also like the usual cats/owls/skulls/bats/spiders (rough order of preference), especially if glittery. Also, someone mentioned the recent prevalence of eyeballs in Halloween decor. I'm all for that -- I have eyeball socks (which I actually wear even though I wear socks less than 10x/year) and eyeball washi tape already, other items would be welcome. I haven't really seen Halloween wolves yet (they were also mentioned earlier), but I do like wolves, foxes and such, so those would be welcome too. I'm not really into gory/grotesque things though, and I abhor zombies!

Do you eat candy, and if so would Halloween candy be welcome?
I know I talked about candy a lot in my original questionnaire, so I'm just answering the Halloween part of this. Halloween candy that is in line with preferences stated previously is fine. I do also like the special orange kitkats that come out for Halloween and the thing that's kind of like Hershey's cookies&cream but with little orange bits or whatever (to be clear, in this sentence I'm talking about orange color and not orange flavor, but I do like orange-flavored chocolate anyway so if some shows up that'd be fine too).

Do you want Fidget spinners, desk toys, or other frivolous things that you look at and decide you don't need enough to spend $ on but would make you happy to have?
Maybe if you find something you think I'd really like. I technically have at least 2 offices (though they're sort of shared), and neither of them have huge amounts of knickknacks.

Any zentangle lovers, people who would like to try it, or would you want a piece of someone else's zentangle art?
It sounds neat but I probably wouldn't try it because I am very busy and therefore very lazy on the odd occasion that I'm not busy. Wouldn't mind a piece of someone else's art if you think I'd like it.

Any love of hair toys, clips, ribbons, fascinators, mini hats, etc?
I wish I still wore stuff in my hair but I just don't. I have a drawerful of cool barrettes and such and maybe wear one once or twice a year.

What local goodies may be of interest? Local Honey, jams, candy?
All of this sounds great. I especially love honey and have never received any in a swap.

Are you interested in any subscription services like serial magazines, Birch box, ipsy?
I know there are some for Japanese snacks, I'd be interested in those.

Would you like funky Halloweenie costume makeup like Gothic eyelashes, nail effects, black lipstick, etc.?
Probably not but I'm always up for wacky shades of nail polish (just not like the sand-textured or crackle stuff or whatever).

Candles, Incense, or wax tarts?
Candles or incense (stick not cone for incense), not wax tarts.

Petz:
I got a kitten this summer and he would love just about anything (he has all manner of toys, but currently his favorite is a small bouncy ball... he's also just starting to appreciate catnip since that takes awhile). My dog, on the other hand, mostly likes stuffed squeaky toys. If you are planning to send edible treats (which are the only thing my other cat, who is somewhat elderly, might enjoy), please only send a small amount since I'm not sure how the animals will like them and we don't give out treats super-often.

Post Liliths:
Just pre-ordered decants of My Little Themysciran Princess and Spinning on Graves. Others I'd be interested in trying are Wednesday's Child... and Zip Line.

Trader Joe's:
There are a few of these stores within 30 minutes to an hour of my house, but I don't really consider that to be very close I guess. Just went to one a week or so ago (before that it had been several years) and it turns out that I really love this Peruvian Corn stuff. The question specifically asked about pumpkin stuff though and pumpkin really isn't my thing to be honest. But if you see something else at Trader Joe's you think I might like, go for it!

Is there anything you want from the trading post (or trading post etsy) that is available to order right now?
Sure! I use the bath oils as a sort of bodywash-enhancement, so I go through them fairly quickly these days. From the BPTP etsy I wouldn't mind trying the Bloodbath one, and on the main BPTP site bath-oils-wise I would mind the Morocco, Hedonism, Intensity, Invidia, Luxuria, Patientia, or some more Snake Oil (I do have a little bit of Snake Oil bath oil, but I'm running really low). Would also take an XXL v-neck of the Irretrievable Time shirt.

Who would love some USPS eclipse stamps?
me!

Do you like to cook and/or bake? Could you use any specific ingredients (spices, oils, salts, extracts, etc.) or kitchen utensils/gadgets?
Yes indeed, I could use all kinds of weird stuff. Ingredients-wise: ground flaxseed, nutritional yeast (powder form), hemp seeds (ones that would be legal in Texas, to be clear! ), gochujang, harissa, ras al hanout, za'atar, um... are you sorry you asked? Gadgets... maybe a mandoline? I'll edit this in my blog if I think of more.

I'm at Ocean City MD for bike week......would a witches want anything from here? Bike or beach related??
We have an old Holden Beach souvenir that we need to replace, I asked my husband to look up what it's called and it's called something like a "souvenir waterglobe pyramid pencilholder" or a "cone floating paperweight pencilholder." So if you find one of those, that would be great!

Would you like some Halloween or other themed decor in the form of a banner, something like this http://www.etsy.com/...n-decor-vintage? If so, would you prefer a traditional style or a vertical door type?
I don't really like the one linked to, but the Trick or Treat one from the same etsy shop is okay. I think traditional would be better than vertical-door.

If there are specific fragrance oils or products my Witchee would like from any of the OCYL Fall updates, it would be good to add those to their blog, ketchup, or signature.
This is a really broad question since there are so many companies, so I think I can only really give general guidance (I mean, there have already been specific questions about a few companies [such as Lush] and I tried my best for those, but I don't really think I can do it for every company). So... in general, I'd like to mention that I don't really wear OCYL perfume oils, or at least not more than once or twice a year. So if there is one decant from another company you think I'd really like, go ahead and include it, but I probably wouldn't use up a bottle from another company or try many decants. Otherwise... I think this question mentioned Yankee Candle which I don't really think of as an indie brand, but... I do like some of their gourmand type scents like Vanilla Cupcake and Peppermint Bark and such, so I wouldn't mind something in that vein I suppose.

This has also sort of been mentioned but what are your favorite homemade treats?
For shippable things, cookies/brownies are good bets, I guess.

Favorite gemstones?
Garnet, moonstone, labradorite, lapis, opal... and my birthstone is ruby but since it's literally the most expensive thing there is, I don't expect you to get me rubies.

Are you a Potterhead? If so, to which house do you belong?
Mildly. And I'm an almost completely even split between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, I'm afraid. I alternate between the 2 pretty evenly when I take the usual quizzes, and on the "more scientific" recent quiz I took that took into account personality research, I was... 39.7% Ravenclaw, 39% Hufflepuff, 19.8% Gryffindor, 1.6% Slytherin.

How do you feel about chokers?
I don't really wear the ones I own so they probably aren't a good bet.

I'm in France at the moment, is there anything here you might like? I'm in Provence, the land of lavender, so if you like flower in particular just say so!
I'd especially like culinary lavender (like, to use in baking and such), but whatever is good, really.

If you enjoy jewelry do you like discrete and elegant, flashy and gaudy, small and light, or large and chunky?
Um, it depends on what mood I'm in!

Would my Witchee be interested in a Tarot or Astrology reading done personally?
Sure. I don't do divination myself (not since I was a teenager, anyway), but I still appreciate it. And I've been wanting to get my chart done for years so that'd be especially great. I know all of the specific time and place and such stuff about my birth so can provide that if needed.

Does my Witchee need any magical supplies?
I don't think so but I can try to think of if there are any TAL oils or the like, and update in my blog if so.

Would you be interested in any of the seasonal (or regular) soaps from Cellar Door (https://cellardoorbathsupply.com)?
Aw yeah! I even mentioned them in my initial questionnaire. I'm especially interested in Almond Vanilla, Acadian Driftwood, Good Vibrations, Lavender, Lavender Pumpkin, Merry Manhattans, Midnight Mocha, Once Bitten, Orange Clove, Pumpkin Chai Latte, Tobacco+Oakmoss, and Sandalwood+Amber.

Partial BPAL bottles are fine.

Are you interested in anything from Think Geek?
Hmm... this is an interesting one. A past Witch got me a giftcard or whatever from them and their policy was really weird and caused me to be overdrawn for awhile (my purchase went very slightly over the giftcard amount but their policy, at least last year, was to freeze $50 from the bank account no matter the actual amount of the charge, which wasn't cool when I needed to get a couple of things at the grocery store right before payday and had had only about $20 in my account, not over $50). So I might enjoy actual items from there, but please no giftcards as I'm not messing with that again. So anyway, here are some fairly-reasonably-priced things you could purchase/procure for me if you'd like: Pikachu apron Mixology Cocktail Shaker Jiji coin purse Highball glass

If you could decorate your house (or one room) in any one theme, what would it be?
Going to take the easy way out here and say mid-century modern

aprons:
Yep, I wear an apron sometimes, and I'm trying to do so more often when I'm cooking or baking. The one I have is fine but nowhere near new. I guess I like more feminine ones that are still functional for cooking/baking (i.e., no problem with ruffles or cutesy prints or etc, but the material shouldn't be especially flammable or extremely flimsy or whatever).

Do you like Broadway shows/music? If so what are some of your favorites and/or ones that you hope to see or listen to eventually? Would you like merch from your favorite shows or CDs from shows you want to listen to?
Can't think of any though I don't think I dislike the entire genre.

I'm heading to NYCC in October! Is there anything I can get my Witchee while I'm there?
Ironically, BPAL's Broadway scent sounds really nice. Of course I dunno if I'd like it enough for a bottle, but I'd love a decant. I know they were on offer at Crown and Tulip.

I just realized - I'm going to Edmonton Expo this weekend (It's Edmonton's version of comic con). Would a witchee like anything from there?
I... don't know what they have at those, I've been ignoring the fandom questions because I'm not really "fannish." But if you see something you think I'd like, sure!

- Anything catch your eye from this site (globalgirlfriend.com)?
Wow, apparently yes! Will probably go back to this site for Christmas-wish purposes! raindrops top huipil sling bag (in multi) envelope clutch beaded coin purse (not teal) loop beaded earrings (in grey) teardrop earrings (in Zambezi) swallow and stone earrings sky collection earrings (any color) rococo earrings peridot earrings beaded bracelet (in arrow) daybreak earrings citrine square earrings blue crush earrings sacred mark soap (lavender coconut or chai masala) trunk scrub soap (cocomango) drinking chocolate nepali woven dish towel (blue) waxcloth apron bees dish towel dot dish towel

- Do you have any favorite, lesser-known stores? Especially ones that sell hand-crafted or independently made items.
I usually plug Devonshire Organics at some point during Switch Witch, so I guess this can be that time. I have been buying stick incense from them for at least 15 years and feel like nothing else compares (apparently the Vatican agrees since their incense is used there). My favorite is the general incense wand sampler, but I also order the "woodsy" or "cathedral" ones sometimes for winter.

Imagine you're going to the most gigantic art & craft show imaginable, and money is no object - what kind of things would you gravitate towards and probably spend money on? Include as specific as you want to get!
Well, when I go to art/craft shows or Renaissance festivals with my normal limited budget, I always end up buying earrings and bar soap, so that's a first thought. I also gravitate toward stick incense. Pricier things that catch my eye at times but that I don't buy would include the fancy wooden boxes or cutting boards (usually with different colors/patterns of wood), and the fancy coffee cups at pottery places... but I'd still want the coffee cup(s) to be regular shape and not with weird dents or globs of fake crystals or dragons or whatever as I keep seeing those on etsy and wondering how somebody would actually drink out of them.

See's Candy. They have special Halloween candy..any of these pique your interest?? Cinnamon Apple Scotch Mallows, Pumpkin spice truffles, pumpkinspice lollypops, caramel apple lollypops, or any other of their chocolates, etc?
I checked out the "Fall Gifts & Treats" on the site, and the Sweet Harvest Box, Brittle & Crunch, Orange Krispys, Orange & Chocolate Wafers, and Autumn Delights sound amazing.

And... after we get Witchees I'm probably going to start a second entry because this is already so long!

Witch! Nice to see you! Like I said earlier, I will probably start a second blog entry for any new questions.

Scents I can't live without

I'm writing these down as my shopping cart keeps being bumped back to empty. Then I forgot what I can't live without.

Must buy as soon as possible:
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat... this has been re-stocked!
Leanan Sidhe: Clean, unique, summer provoking. Good signature summer scent.
Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo: Need it fresh and slather! Lab fresh is the only way to go. Aged doesn't work here.
Schroedinger's Cat: Hooray back in stock. Lemony bright. needs re-applying. may need a few bottles

Got it! Knave of hearts: floral bakery..like Posset's Indy 499, which was a peony pie.
Got it! Elegba: Coconut. Short lived. light scent, but a rich coconut. stays close
Got it! Sjofn: Apple, fresh apple and trees

On the Wait list:
Dorian: It's gotta come back at some point
Bordello: I waited too long..out of stock

Will freak if discontinued:
Gobo

Have enough of...Should last my lifetime..don't buy anymore.
Thalia
Vice
Olokun
Katherine
Night-Gaunt
Y'ha-Nthlei

DISO
Tanuki do Hikifune..TTP has this. Need to free up funds
Luna Moth.

Do More Research
Obatala..fresh watery coconut
Delirium...am I spelling this wrong or it DC?

Side by side testing
Chapter One: Chocolate
#1. Muddy Puddles vs. Chad: revealed that Muddy Puddles does have a bit of a "dirt" scent in it. Chad is the chocolateyist!
#2. Chad vs. Choco Musk from Rehab: The El Rehab brought out the milk note in Chad. The Chad's chocolate was negated. The winner was the Rehab.
#3 Choco Musk Rehab vs. Hot Chocolate by Back to Earth: The showdown of the dissimilar. CM is total chemical HC by Back to Earth is total natural. and the winner is...choco musk by El Rehab (it's a cheapy) because the natural Hot chocolate doesn't smell like chocolate next to the cheap fake stuff.... it smells like spices. Sigh...I'd had rather hoped for the natural fragrance to win me over.

#4 Choco muck by El Rehab and....wait for it......Mother of all Souls by Arcana.

bpals (and other retailers)

A

Aizen-Myoo: Yuzu, kaki, and mikan with cherry blossom and black tea.
-- bright citrus fading to a soft floral. Nice.

B

Blue Unicorn Moon: Vanilla blueberry bubblegum
-- I swear I smell honey. This is long lasting and sweet but with that O-type honey. Not sure if I like it or not.

D

Dainty Sulphur:
Orange blossom and brimstone
--hotel soap, very heady
Delirium: Non compos mentis, indeed! A contrary, conflicted scent, bubbling with merry madness. Contains apple, rose, and lemon
-- powdery rose, reminds me of an old apartment with faded wallpaper and tons of photographs on a table. Do not like.

G

Gladdener of All Hearts: Honeyed milk, baby powder, lavender, orris root, sage, carnation, angelica, frankincense, and rose otto
-- Spicy-ish. I get carnation and a little lavender. It's not a knockout but a solid OK.

H

Hearts for Ghost Friends: Friendship beyond death. The scent of ghostly companionship, and imaginary friends that might not be quite so imaginary: oleander and frankincense with white rose, soft carnation, spectral white musk, and velvety magnolia.
--It would be great if I got the white florals everyone else mentions. Alas, I do not. This is another nope.

L

L'Autunno: Hawthorn, fig, myrrh, carnation, toasted almond, red and green apple, patchouli, wood smoke, and Indian musk.
--spicy! Carnation with apple in the background. Definitely a winter fragrance.

Lucy's Kiss: Created to represent the essence of Bram Stoker's tragic heroine, Lucy Westenra. Seductive, wanton and deadly, but underscored with a soft, wistful innocense. The gentle scent of rose and a blend of Victorian spices.
-- I think I like a sweeter rose than this. Do not like.

M

Moon of Ice: Frost-crusted winter flowers, white pine, eucalyptus, and traditional lunar oils.
-- I love this. It's all pine and snow.

N

Nyarlathotep: Brooding, yet electric: the scent of buried secrets, roiling nightmares, the essence of the Crawling Chaos, the Father of Knives and Locusts, the Hunter in the Dark. This is the blackest of ritual incenses charged with flashes of ozone
-- Nope. Smells like smoky vetiver.
P

Purple Phoenix: Porphyrogenitus, indeed; we worked for it! Not simply the color of royalty, purple is also the color of sorrow and mourning, reconciliation and forgiveness. A regal, majestic, and somber blend of myrrh, plum blossom, African violet, cognac, fig, orris, lilac, wisteria, black plum, and Burgundy wine grapes
-- AWESOME. Grapes and plums. Seriously purple.

Q

Queen Gertrude: Imperial violet softened by wisteria and chrysanthemum, but edged with the regal iciness of delphinium.
-- Not terrible but not great. Floral-ish but reminds me of air freshener or dryer sheets or something similar. I think I smell wisteria but it is making me want to sneeze so I am not really sure. This is not how I want to smell.

R

Rakshasa: This haunting, exotic scent is named in honor of the shapeshifting demons from Hindu mythology. Sandalwood with rose and patchouli.
--super herbal and not good at all. Do not like.

Rose Red 2010: The perfected winter rose, dew covered and freshly cut. Like walking into a florist's shop- fresh cut rose and greenery. LOVE.

S

Sam (American Gods): Nag champa incense, patchouli, and freshly-soaped skin. Unobtrusive. This is soap on me. No incense or patchouli. Dial or another generic deodorant soap is all I get. Meh.

V

Virgo 2007: Fennel, valerian, maidenhair fern, carrot seed, honeysuckle, and myrtle
-- it's something I like. I can't identify anything in it but it is pleasant. Think I'll keep it.

W

We Cared About Such Different Things (American Gods): You would not know who was light, who was dark: iron and amber, gold-limned white musk and ink-gloomed dark musk.
-- warm and incense-y. The musks are really pretty.

HAIR GLOSSES

Red Incense Gloss: Red sandalwood, myrrh, cinnamon husk, and copal bound with blood, currants, and red wine.
-- it smells so lovely- just like incense. Unfortunately, something in it goes loud and strident after a few hours. It turns shrill and reminds me of bug spray. Is it the sandalwood? Myrrh? No idea. I just know that I can't possibly subject myself or others to brassy bug spray. YUCK.

HAUS OF GLOI

- Bunny:
Pink bubble gum, pink roses, and pink carnation. This is Bazooka Bubble gum with a jolt of spicy carnation. It is an odd but wonderful combination and I love it. It's a very happy scent. It settles into a sweet rose and bubblegum scent. I will wear this when I need a bit of happiness.

- Lavender Ice Cream is sheer heaven. Gorgeous lavender sweetened just a bit by vanilla. I freaking love this so much I just might buy another bottle.

-First Blush: Tahitian vanilla bean, white tea, lavender and peach. Going on, this is gorgeous. It is a perfect, ripe, juicy peach. Unfortunately, it vanishes within minutes and I am left with a distant memory. Oh well.

-Blood Orange and Marshmallows: I smell like a dreamsicle. Fo' yeah.

-
SUMMER DRESS Clean cotton, lily of the valley, peach nectar, and Chinese peony blossom. Fresh clean scent. I smell like peaches. Yum.

-Vanilla Tranquility:
A bowl of buttery sweet rice porridge with brown sugar and vanilla, with a cup of earl gray
I smell like someone dumped butter over my head and then followed up with a dusting of brown sugar. YUCK.

POSSETS
-Magnificent Red Rose: I do love me some roses.
-Silver Carnations: Another OMG gorgeous. I absolutely love this.

Sixteen92
-Gothic Lolita: this is very nice. I can't identify a single thing in it but it's nice. Kind of incense-y, which is not what I would think a Gothic Lolita would smell like. Still nice.
-Garden Party: Another very nice but no clue as to what's in it. It sort of smells like the old wax lips I used to get as a kid. Kind of vanilla-ish.
-You Who Swallowed a Falling Star: Starts out nice but shortly turns into a loud and brassy perfume-y scent. It is so strong it makes me mildly nauseous. I might try it again in miniscule quantity but not for a long while.

SOLSTICE SCENTS
-Violet Truffle: Dark Chocolate, Violet, Violet Leaf & Vanilla Absolute This is Serious chocolate that morphs into serious violet/vanilla. Spent most of the day with my nose in my shirt. I might have looked like an idiot but I smell marvelous.
-Winter Dove: Vanilla Crystals, Spicy Carnation, Nutmeg, Cream. Spicy and warm and gorgeous. LOVE.
-Chiffon: Vanilla, White Amber, White Musk & Lemon Myrtle EO. One of the prettiest lemon/vanilla scents I have worn. LOVE.

NOCTURNE ALCHEMY
-Black Zinfandel: Black Amber, Black Frankincense, Black Patchouli and White Zinfandel grape wine accord. I loved it for several hours. It was grape-y and amber-y. But then it turned to bug spray. WTF? Is it the wine accord?? Is that what turned the Red Incense hair gloss too?
-Plesiosaurus:
Resinous Amber Accord, Limestone Amber, Bastet's Ice Cream accord which is a blend of many different vanilla beans and vanilla fleck sifted through the amber oil leaving a vanilla essence Nessie would love. *tiny bits of resin may occur in the Dino blends, these will only enrich the blend even more with aging! Very sweet, almost too sweet for me. Rich vanilla spiked with amber that fights its way to the surface before being pushed back under the vanilla sea. Not sure if I like it or not.

-Vanilla and Apple Spice: Yum. That is all.

POESIE
-Shield Maiden: pink rose, peony, sharpened metal, crisp air, deep pine woods and frozen earth. It starts out pine, snow and roses and settles down to a powdery but sweet rose. Others might say it's an 'old lady' rose, but I AM an old lady.
-All MIrth, No Matter:
apricot blossom, white chocolate, butterscotch, honeysuckle, magnolia, amber, and a fillip of juicy blood orange. Too much butterscotch for me. Nope.

Luckyscent-

Lilac Love- Amouage- lovely in small doses. VERY small doses. It makes me sneeze otherwise. Potential bug spray quality after drydown. Definitely wants to be the showstopper. Use with caution. (GAVE AWAY)
Sunshine Woman- Amouage- Tobacco note is too prominent. It's all I smell and I do not want to smell like a cigarette.
Lumiere Noire Pour Femme- Maison Francis Kurjdian- another winner. Soft and pretty.
This is Not a Blue Bottle- Histoires de Parfums- I like it but I can really smell the alcohol base. This must be used in extremely small doses.
Jasmina- April Aromatics- smells like bandages. Do not like.
OdeJo (eau de toilette)- unobtrusive and pretty. smells clean. (BIG BOTTLE- JUNE 18)
Monyette Paris- Monyette Paris- Holy Shith does this smell awesome! Gardenia for days. I LOVE this. (BIG BOTTLE- JULY 18)
Aventus for Her- Creed- What is it with the alcohol smell of some perfumes? I would love this were it not for the rubbing alcohol stench that smacks me in the nose whenever I try to take a sniff. I think not, especially knowing how freaking expensive this stuff is.
Sublime Vanille- Creed- Damn, this is nice.
White Sandalwood- Goldfield & Banks- gorgeous dry sandalwood (BIG BOTTLE)
Pacific Rock Moss- Goldfield & Banks- lovely
Goldfield & Banks- Blue Cypress- gorgeous
House of Oud- Golden Powder-
Nutmeg, cinnamon, sandalwood, guaiac wood, cedar, papyrus, musk, labdanum, vanilla, coumarin, tobacco blossom-
lovely but too strong and confident for my taste

New Tumblr Perfume blog

I just wanted to let anyone who ever sees this to know and have access to my perfume reviewing blog on Tumblr: Listen, you smell something? (if you get the reference, ten points to you!) I began by writing about how smells influenced some of my childhood and how they inspire me today. I then stared reviewing in depth some of my Bpal collection which has grown very rapidly over the passed year. I am currently branching out and writing about other scents i come across and post about three times a month right now. Life is busy, I'm not putting too much pressure on myself and quality over quantity. If you would like to check it out here it is: https://smellallthesmells.tumblr.com/   Please feel free to request, critique, ask questions, and comment. I just wanna talk about smells.

Spring cleaning swap 2017

Wishlists
In my signature   Makeup and skin care, any particular likes or dislikes?
No make up (I like make up, but simply own too much of it), facial cream (picky skin) or hand cream. Oh and no hair products, picky scalp as well. Everything else is welcome!   Any arts and crafts supplies you need?
No, not in need of anything. Unless you have something you think I'd like   What kind of staple items could you use?
Nothing I could think of right now.   Comic books? Any in particular?
No, sorry.   Would donate to a thrift store:
Yes, better than throwing things away.   Cats or dogs? Other?
Both. At home we only have cats and birds, but I love all animals.   Musical interests or preferences? Do you play any instruments?
I'm a big fan of Take That and Mark Owen as a solo artist. That's kind of a guilty pleasure Besides that, I like a lot of different styles, like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Lucy Spraggan, Nightwish (old days with Tarja), Marillion, John Denver, Concrete Blonde, Siouxie and the Banshees.   I'm not playing any instruments. My boyfriend sings and plays guitar, both accoustic and electric.   What's your favorite foreign country or language, that you might like to receive items related to?
I like asian countries, I feel very comfortable there. I also like Scandinavia and Norway in particular. I almost moved there in the past.
Costa Rica was my favourite holiday ever, because of all the animals.
I always love getting items related to any foreign country.   New Question: I'm a bit of a clotheshorse, and have a huge closet full of retro and vintage dresses and skirts, etc (think ModCloth, Sourpuss Clothing, Trollied Dolly, Unique Vintage, pinup and rockabilly-esque stuff). I wear a size medium or large depending on the cut (size 8-12 US sizes, depending on cut). Would you want any clothing from me?   Sounds great, but I'm afraid it wouldn't fit. I'm a size 12-14. If you have a size 12 that runs big, it's worth a try.   Is there anything that although you might like, you simply have too many of?
Make up
Candles or tarts
Showergel and perfume (but still like getting this hahahaha)
Mugs (but if you have something really nice I'd still love getting mugs )   Gently used items?
yes, that's fine to me, as long as there are no hygienic issues.   If I have something I think you would like, but would need to be altered, would you want it?
If it's altering I can easily do myself: yes. But if it needs to be taken to a tailor or something, that will probably never happen.   I had all the ingredients for a cookie jar/ bathsalts/ necklace, but they were separated, is it okay to assemble them, or no?
yes, I think it would be nice to get something like that.   How do you feel about hair accessories, including adornments like large flowers?
No, sorry. Right now my hair's too short for accessories but also when it's longer (I'm trying to let my hair grow), I don't like wearing hair accessories. I think that's because of the glasses I wear. I think adding hair accessories is simply too much.   Are there any kinds of patterns or pattern books you'd enjoy receiving? (e.g., Victorian/steampunk, RenFaire, or other costume sewing patterns; knit hat or scarf patterns; crochet animal/toy patterns; Swedish weaving patterns...)
Crochet animal/toys would be nice!   Cookbooks: Yea? Nay? Only certain types/sizes?
Nope. Whenever I get one or buy one myself, it ends up in a drawer forever.   Having individual items in my box gift-wrapped would be:
I think wrapping is fun! But not required. Whatever my broom decides!   New question!
Could you describe the style of your home/living room? A picture would be nice but you can also just describe the style and colors (or colors you dislike).   My own answer: pictures are on my Pinterest moodboard.
Edited by Nemi25, 14 April 2017 - 10:43 PM.
Would you use any lip color and if so, what are your preferences for color, texture, etc? How about eyeliner?
No, I use this very rarely and I have enough lip colors for the rare moments I want to wear it.   Bath and Bodyworks liquid hand soap: Yes please!   Bath and Bodyworks Wall Flower bulbs: No, wouldn't use it.   If you are a knitter, what is your favorite weight and fiber content of yarn? (fingering/sport/dk/worsted/aran? merino/mcn/acrylic/merino silk/bamboo/cotton?) favorite colors of yarn? Please don't send any yarn. I have too much of that.   Let's say your favorite foods/drinks was something that is hard to ship. Do you have other favorite foods that could be included in a swap?
- chocolate? I have a bunch of World Market sea salt bars (milk chocolate and blood orange, dark chocolate and dried strawberries), 64% cacao black forest cherry pie, bacon & chocolate, caramel & sea salt, PB&J, milk chocolate with honey salt almonds, ghiradelli squares (assortment), pumpkin pie almonds, etc.)
I love chocolate! But please don't send chocolate combined with fruits (white choc with fruits is ok though!), alcoholics or bacon/meat. All the other options are nice!   - protein/snack bars?
Yes   - tanka bars (buffalo/turkey/cranberry)? No thanks, I'm a vegetarian   What colors of nail polish do you wear, if any?
I don't wear nailpolish anymore since it started to destroy my nails   Are you interested in local honey or homemade jam (peach, cherry, strawberry rhubarb)?
Yes, sounds good!   I have a lot of fabric to make project / cosmetic bags (and some already made), are you interested in one?
Sounds awesone!   - Would you prefer a project bag or a cosmetic bag?
Cosmetic bag.   - What kind of fabric or themes do you like?
Little Pony, dogs, (sugar)skulls, owls, sheep.   - I also have a bunch of flannel with dollar bills for making some money mojo bags and some already sewn up green flannel mojo bags (empty), would you like one?
No thanks.   Do you use k-cups? No thank you.   Most wanted to try BPAL, Arcana, NAVA, etc.?
My BPAL wishlist is in my sig. I don't know much about NAVA or Arcana, but I'd love to try something that meets my favorite notes.   Pipettes? I buy in bulk so I have a ton of them for decanting. No thanks, I have plenty.   I have a few pairs of fingerless mitts knit up (purple or grey), do you wear such things?
Yes!   I also have a small shawlette/neckerchief that I knit (but have never worn) in glittery grey yarn with little bits of purple mixed in. No lace or floofiness so doesn't need to be blocked ever. Yay/nay?
That's a nay, sorry. I hate knitted things around my neck.   K-cups?
No, we don't have such a machine.

Complete List of BPAL Favorites

In case you want a really in-depth look at what I like and don't, here's everything that I've tried and would buy a full bottle of, basically. The only real distinction between "love" and "like a lot" has more to do with how much I see myself wearing them than actual like/dislike (although of course my favorite notes will more often be a "love").

The Toxic Lake

One of Florida’s big concerns is Lake Okeechobee, the lake that should be sending water to the drying Everglades. Instead, it’s held poorly in place by dikes and canals, all of which need constant maintenance by the US Corp of Engineers and other groups. But now the lake has become very polluted by farms and development around Orlando. The polluted water that leaves the lake under controlled outflow has damaged the waters of the Treasure Coast and its tourist industry. And, BigAg, in the form of BigSugar, plays a role in this story with no easy fix.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS 2016

WINTER WONDERINGS
Do you celebrate Christmas? Another winter holiday?: Christmas
Do you decorate? Would you like to receive decorative items?: I work retail so I never really get to decorate - I'm too busy
What are your favorite things about winter/Christmas?: I love carols and dinners with loved ones and christmas lights and trees and snow and eggnog and wrapping presents and warm blankets and cuddling in front of the fire with my furbrats and other half.
What is your favorite Christmas/winter holiday memory?:
When I was a kid we had an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. We would decorate the crap out of that house, and there was a real fireplace we hung our stockings on. We always got a ton of snow and the 2 years we were there, Christmas morning was magical.   ALL ABOUT YOU
Allergies and dietary/lifestyle restrictions (if applicable): no allergies to food.
Favorite color(s): black, blood red, emerald green, amethyst purple, deep wine, chocolate brown.
Least favorite color(s): white, pink, yellow
Favorite Christmas snacks and treats: shortbread! ferraro roche chocolates, toffifee, clementines, marshmallow peanut butter squares, Turtles.
Do you like coffee, cocoa, and/or tea? I love coffee and tea. I use a french press for coffee and I adore David's Tea and other loose leaf kinds. I love all teas and prefer dark roast coffee (but would enjoy flavoured coffee also).
Favorite bath & beauty products: Lush is so my jam. Same with Villainess. I like scrubs and bath bombs and oils and bubble bars and massage bars. I don't like lotion or cream.
Favorite scents (both specific notes and perfume blends):
BPAL: GC - Alice, Anubis, Chimera, Dorian, Envy, Morocco, Old Demons of the First Class, SIn
LE - Antique Lace, Callisto (moons of Jupiter), Chokmah, Unseelie, Elf V4, Fetish.Goth, Gemini 2016, Tombeur, Pickled Imp, Ebon Night (TAL), Seduction IX (TAL), Lawn Gnome, De Vos' Unicorn, Snake Charmer (Orig), Bleep Censor, Tintagel
NAVA: Bastet, Eternal Ankh. Viktor Rolf SpiceBomb. Atelier: Vetiver, Vanille Insensee. Lush: Lord of Misrule, Karma.
NOTES: vanilla, lavender, musk (red can be iffy), honey, patchouli, frankincense, myrrh, blackberry, currant, chocolate, pine pitch, oak moss, ambergris and vetiver in small doses
Least favorite scents (both specific notes and perfume blends):
rose, violet, jasmine, lily, cedar, gardenia, ozone. Aquatic and Cold/winter scents are very hit or miss. I hate perfume like Chanel No.5.
Your favorite books/authors/genres: Neil Gaiman. Kelly Sue DeConnick. Warren Ellis. Jacqueline Carey. I love fantasy, horror, scifi, cheesy paranormal smut books, young adult, etc.
Your preferred book format (Kindle ebook, Kobo ebook, paperback, etc.)?: Book (but used books in good condition are loved).
Do you collect anything?: comics, books, Maneki-neko, Pop Funko Figures, Action Figures (mainly from tv shows/movies/comics I love), blurays, clothes, jewellery, Squishables, vintage and new LP's (I like stuff. srsly)
Your favorite fandom(s): : Harry Potter (Hufflepuff represent), Stranger Things (tv show), Labyrinth (movie), Marvel (specifically Captain America/Avengers movies and in comics Captain Marvel and Kate Bishop Hawkeye), Mad Max: Fury Road (movie) and The Flash (TV).
What are your hobbies?: reading, writing, singing, travelling, cooking, movies.
Would you like any supplies for your hobbies?: Spices and kitchen gadgets are always welcome.
What sort of music do you like?: I love all music except for Industrial, techno, country, death metal. I'm here on spotify if you want to see my playlists or bands I've been listening to.
*Are there any holiday albums you're looking forward to?: Nothing new - I own The Nightmare Before Christmas on vinyl and that was my big one. I do love the Grinch though (original cartoon, I hate the Jim Carrey live action debacle)
Do you have VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray?: I have dvd and bluray.
*Does your player of choice have region restrictions?: I'm in North America so region 1 is the norm (I have no idea if my blu ray player can play other regions, I know my PS3 can't)
Is there anywhere that you would like a gift card or online credit for?: Sure! Lush, the Lab or Post, etsy, villainess, sephora.
Things you could always use more of:
Do you wear nail polish?: Yes, but I don't believe you can send it via airmail so it might be out for me being international. I love OPI, BPTP, China Glaze and Orly. All colours except for red and pink and bring on all the sparkles and matte as well as pearl finish.
Would you like makeup?: sure! I love makeup.
*If you would like makeup, what sorts would you prefer?: lip gloss, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, blush, finishing spray, lip balm
*Any favorite makeup brands, colors?: I love urban decay, nars, too faced, benefit, sephora brand, body shop and NYX.
*Any hated/not-preferred makeup brands, colors, or products?: I have really irritable skin and can react to makeup and skin care product. If it's not on my fave list, please don't chance it.
Would you like holiday makeup, body, or nail gift collections (example: Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Eyeshadow Palette or Glazed Apple Treat Box Gift Set from The Body Shop)?:
Sure! I love cranberry from the Body Shop, or Lush's holiday items (Lord of Misrule bathbombs) etc.
Personal clothing style: I love tights, cool pop culture tees (think RIPT), funky scarves, hoodies, yoga bottoms and tops, doc martens, running shoes, drape cardigans, tanks, boyfriend tees, oversized sweaters.
Do you like jewelry?: yes
*If so, what sort?: earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, nose rings - I love jewellery.
*What sizes and/or lengths do you prefer?: 7-8 ring, 7" wrist, 18-22" necklace
Would you enjoy receiving wearables (shirts, socks, shoes, arm/legwarmers, hats, etc.)?: yes
*Sizing on wearables: L-XL for tops, socks/shoes size 9, arm and leg warmers, average?? I wear a med-l in tights and my arms aren't skinny or thick.
Home style: modern with eclectic vintage and antique with pop culture pieces.
Would you appreciate decoratives or art for your home?: sure
*Are there any restrictions (no naked people, no breakables, that kind of thing)?: I have a small place so nothing super big for display or wall hanging and the furbrats are active so the less breakable the better.   Will you be having your birthday during this swap?: no
Would you be open to receiving handmade items?: yes of course (scarves and mittens! boxes for bpal!)
Would you like to be partnered with someone who likes handmade items?: I don't make anything but I could try to? Or try to buy handmade stuff.
Is there anything you definitely do NOT want to receive (things with nudity, profane language, etc.)?: Language is fine (I swear like a sailor) and nudity in a classic sense (old art for example) is fine - but nothing porn derived or cartoon.   Would you like your partner to spoil your S.O./child/cat/dog? What do they like?: It would be appreciated but it's not a requirement (in case you need ideas I have 2 cats and a fiance who stole all my trader joe cookies my switch witch sent me )
Are you comfortable receiving good/like new condition used items?: yes that's fine
What are five inexpensive things you always appreciate receiving? tea and coffee, funky pins (especially ones of my fave fandoms or bpal), lip balm (burt's bees or something handmade from etsy), chocolate, fridge magnets. And dish towels (funky, fun, colourful).   Is there anything we haven't mentioned that you'd like to share with your partner?: THANK YOU SO MUCH! Working retail means the holidays are really stressful and crazy for me. I can't wait to open your presents and look forward to (hopefully) making a new friend.   Please place your wishlists here:
ETSY

BPAL

I love crocheting, it's my favorite hobby. Can I make you a scarf/cowl/sweater/lap blanket to keep you wintery-warm!?
YES PLEASE! I love blankets to inifinity and beyond and scarves in Canada are a necessity and I'm unsure what kind of sweater it would be but as long as it was kinda big and oversize (like an XL) I'd love it.

Is there any craft or hobby that you are interested in trying?
I have lots of stuff I'd like to learn but zero time to do so. I'm still hoping to finish knitting a toque I started 5 yrs ago.

When it comes to makeup, what is your coloring? Fair, dark? Sensitive skin? Eye color? Hair color? Style....funky, natural? Any additional makeup info?
I am fair and sensitive skinned. I have hazel eyes and naturally brown hair that gets coloured whenever I'm bored (it's currently like autumn right now - red hues and brown tones). I love funky and natural - Urban Decay is my fave line and while I love their Naked palettes, I equally adore my Moondust and Spectrum ones. I'm really in love with Sephora right now. But drugstore brands are cool too! NYX is great.

Do you like to receive plants or gardening stuff? Do you grow plants? What's your favourite flower, if you have one?
Tiny apartment so no thank you. I love lavender and lilacs the best for flowers. Plus I have this weird thing for pansies. They're just simple and pretty.

How do you feel about amigurumi (i.e. little crochet toys), either characters from a fandom, wee animals, or as decorations?
No thank you.

How do you feel about knit socks? (Plain stockinette, lacework, cables, etc). Are there any other hand knit items you'd especially like? (Mittens, fingerless gloves, hats, etc).
Arm warmers and fingerless gloves, toques and cableknit socks are awesome.

What kind of snacks do you like? Does dried fruit or crunchy dried vegetables sound appealing? Do you like (raw) honey? Jerky? Jam? What sort of local products do you like to receive as gifts? If you're familiar with products in the Pacific Northwest, is there anything specific you'd like to try?
Dried fruit is a yes, I love apple leather and sun dried tomatoes are amazing. Jerky is welcome! I love beef and turkey jerky. I love cool mustards and jams.

Would anyone mind bath and body works items? Such as hand sanitizer, lotion, candles, car scents or soap?
I love the aromatherapy line from B&BW. Specifically the Lavender/Vanilla Sleep body wash or the Eucalyptus Tea body wash or the Sensual Black Currant Vanilla Body wash (I like body wash lol). I'm not a fan of anything else really aside from some of their candles, but shipping them to Canada is not cheap.

If you had a custom perfume/beauty/bath product made for you, what would it be and what would the scent description look like? (everything from prose to the specific selection of notes) :
I adore lavender and vanilla best - but black currant, beeswax, opoponax, benzoin and resins are great things to mix in.

I love drawing! Either fanart chibis on the tablet or portrait work in graphite pencil... but it's been a while..so I'd love to use this as an excuse to draw something for you! If you could commission an art piece, would you choose traditional or digital artwork- and what would it be of?
Oh my gosh that would be great! Either medium is welcome, and I'd love something based on one of my fandoms in my questionnaire (Labyrinth, the Flash, Harry Potter, etc)

Christmas decor this year:
Sigh. I dunno. I'm hoping to get my tree up and I don't ever do a theme or a colour scheme, I love my tree covered in my hallmark ornaments, my old awful wooden ones I've had for years, treasured glass pcs from my fam etc. It's the same with my apartment. There's a lot of mismatched oddities that have special meaning to me, rather than out of a Martha Stewart Christmas magazine. I also have 2 cats so no plants or tinsel.

What's your shoesize? Would you like to receive socks?
Size 9 US and sure! Wool is itchy to me, unless it's merino and I love prints and colors.

I live in The Netherlands but I will visit England soon and might pay a visit to Germany. Anything special from here that you'd like to try?
I love London! Anything UK themed is great. My family is from Lancashire so anything from there would be cool so I can show my Grandpa.

Do you have any interest in Shakespearean swag (insult mugs, play themed lip balms, oodles of other possibilities) or general performing arts related goodies?
No thanks.

What is your favorite Christmas story - be it book, movie, cartoon - and if there are various versions, which is your favorite?
A Christmas Carol is important to me and I actually adore the muppets movie version the best. I try to watch it every year. Also, The Grinch who Stole Christmas (not the terrible Jim Carrey abomination but the Boris Karloff classic cartoon), Rudolph and Garfield's Christmas.

Do you have a preference for numbered packages or random selection?
I like the idea of them being numbered for some reason (but if my Snow Angel would like to leave it random, that's awesome too).

Do you have any external wishlists, Goodreads, or anything else that you might not have listed in your survey?
I have nothing else aside from ThinkGeek (which needs to updated). If my Snow Angel needs that, I'll update asap and email it through a mod. I am on Goodreads but I've not updated that in forever either

For books that are part of a series, do you have a strong preference for whether you receive them in order, assuming that any overarching plot is reasonably easy to pick up on and the main story is self contained?
In order please, I'm weird that way.

I make paper albums and journals. Would you be interested in receiving something like that? Would you like some other type of handmade paper craft?
You can never have too many journals.

I stalked your etsy and noticed you like gemstones in jewellery!
If yes, what's a list of your favorite semi-precious gemstones?
Garnet, moonstone, flourite, alexandrite, emerald, amber, labrodite, onyx.

What animals do you think are considered cute?
Foxes, cats and kittens, Corgi dogs, owls, chickadees, raccoons and otters.

You mentioned scarves in your questionnaire. Are you referring to a chunky thick keep-me-warm-in-a-snowstorm scarf, or a light and lacy could-be-warm-if-I-wound-it-a-hundred-times scarf?
Both are great. I wear indoor scarves for fashion and since I live in the arctic I need warm in snow scarves too.

Are you currently ISO any BPAL new or otherwise? What are your top 10 scents?
Wishlist in my sig but my top 10 scents are: Chokmah, Snake Charmer (original), Dorian, Alice, Fetish.Goth, Pickled Imp, Sin, Morocco, Tintagel and Unseelie.

My ISO's are: Unseelie, Tintagel, Molly Grue, Chokmah, Gemini 2016, Ebon Night (TAL), Callisto (Moons of Jupiter), Tattered Lace and Seduction IX (TAL).

Black Friday will be a thing during this swap, anything you might want that will be on awesome sale?
If anything I've mentioned is on super sale mode sure! We have BF here in Canada but it's nothing to the extant that it is in the US, so I'm unsure if any of the brands I've shown love for go on awesome sale.

How do you feel about sweeteners? Do you prefer sugar, stevia, sucralose, etc.? Anything in particular to avoid?
I only use real honey and real maple syrup, sometimes some agave nectar.

Games:
I am into video games for my 2DS and PS3 but I've already pre-ordered Pokemon Moon. I love Lego games for my PS3 and would love Lego The Force Awakens or Lego Marvel Avengers but only if it was on sale super cheap cause video games are expensive.

Would you be interested in:

- Dried honeycrisp apples - YES!

- Applesauce (with red hots for sweetness and cinnamon) no thanks

- Rose petal liqueur - I was already gifted some of this amazing stuff

- Blackberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, or Peach Jam - Blackberry please

- garlic dill pickles - no thank you (we make some every year from my grandfather's recipe)

- raw honey from bees on our property - yes please!

- Baked or homemade goods (rum balls, spritz cookies, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, fudge, cranberry bliss bars, chocolate topped toffee, zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, princess buttercups, chex mixes, trail mixes, etc.)
I think that baked goods might not always survive a post border crossing. If my Snow Angel is in Canada then I adore peanut butter cookies or marshmallow bars, pumpkin bread and brownies. If you're outside of Canada then chex mix or trail mix or something that might be less likely to get confiscated or have an expiry date.

- handsewn project bags or makeup bags? We do different sizes, some with zippers, some with draw strings. I can get all kinds of fandom type fabric like Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Nightmare Before Christmas, Hello Kitty, Harry Potter, My Little Pony, Star Wars, Mario Brothers, etc. I have some glittery bats, skulls, etc. too.
If you're interested, what size would you like and would you prefer drawstring or zipper
I'd love either type (drawstring or zipper) and I'd love any of my fandoms I mentioned in my sign up.

Cookbooks:
I tend to use the internet instead. I don't have room for cookbooks

To Read list:
I haven't had time lately to read anything which sucks. If my Snow Angel thinks I'd love a book based on my likes, go for it.

If there's one place you could go in the world, where and why?
Narrowing this done to 1 place is hard, but I've alway (since I was like 8) have wanted to see Ireland.

What sort of dollar store items do you always get a kick out of? For example, I always love those silly expandable sponges.
I love toys for my cats (those annoying balls with bells in them are adored by my one cat, the other loves the little furry mice) and pens/sharpies/pencils etc.

Trader Joe's: YES PLEASE!!! TRADER JOE ALL THE THINGS. Seriously, I love cookie butter and cookies and biscotti and omg I wish we had TJ in Canada.

How do you feel about sweeteners? Do you prefer sugar, stevia, sucralose, etc.? Anything in particular to avoid?

SW Fall 2016 Part 2

Is there anything you would like to get from Japan?

Um......everything?? Seriously, I would love some textiles like silks and embroidered stuff, I covet a new fan (like the ladies in the old days used, fabric over sticks) mightily, I'd die over a Starbucks Japan mug, I love Pocky, seaweed snacks......much more but that's what I think of off the top of my head.....
My favorite shortbreads are very rich and crumbly ones, not hard and dried. I like plain, vanilla, and lemon

Sock? I adore socks!! I can tell you I am moving away from shortie socks to crew length and knee highs. I just started working with/riding horses again, so a pair or two that are very heavily padded through the foot would be awesome, and can be worn on my motorcycle rides as well!!

I have a Fitbit Alta, sized small, and I just had to order a new strap because my original one broke. I'd love additional straps; I covet mightily the blush leather one that is Fitbit branded, but it's spendy. Etsy has some fun ones, and I'm sure Amazon/Ebay have some too!!!
Sorry about that darlin'.....when my old laptop died, I lost all of my old files. Trust me, it was a sad moment here when I realized that.......
On Pinterest, I am the deazinn with the rainbow Zebra, the Zebra being the mascot of my rare orphan disease called Ehler Danlos Syndrome/hypermobility type.
On Live Journal, I am dea:underscore;zinn because it hates me.
On Instagram, I am zinndeanna because apparently I already made an account under deazinn, and lost it? And can't find the stinkin' password....

I am currently mostly on Facebook and Ravelry, though I will make a very concerted effort to keep up and answer questions here. Please feel free to poke me, or ask TwilightEyes, Coldie, or damn it the person who sent me the learn to knit kit and the dark snickers and the Dexter knitted lip balm cozy who's name I can't remember!!!!~

VoodooCatWoman it's so good to see you!!!!

Okay, a couple of answers now:   How do you feel about knitted stuff? Love, thanks!!
Fancy? Plain? Either is fine with me

What types of things do you like to wear? knitted shawls, small lap blankets, long long long scarves, especially woven scarves....really, anything! I do have two pair of knitted fingerless gloves that I wear a lot in the cold season.

I'm into beer. How 'bout you? Nope, but I am really intrigued by Mead and would love some samples of different types, the sweeter the better. Same goes for wine, my favorites are ice wines, which I adore. Also wines that are partially fruit nectars.
Styles?
And booze?

How do you feel about caramel? Love soft fluid caramels, chewy ones are really hard on my jaw. Same as gum. No go for my dislocating jaw, thanks!!
Salt or no? either
With chocolate or without? Is this a trick question? Chocolate!!!!

Would you be interested in home made food items? Yes to all of the below.....
- garlic dill pickles
- blackberry jam
- dried honey crisp apples
- applesauce (with or without red hots)
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting)
- honey from our bees
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over)
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike? I really don't like fruit in my baked goods, except for cranberries. I love nuts of all kinds, and chocolate.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I love project bags, and really need a couple of larger ones for my never ending blankets.......

And to go along with the previous knitting question...
Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?) All of the above. I especially adore angora yarn, but it's spendy and hard to find. I love silk, cashmere, alpaca. I don't like mohair. All kinds of wool are fine. I love knitting with cotton. Acrylic is okay if it's really soft.....there's a couple I like and I will find them and post them here if needed. I also bead my knitting, and can use 6/0 beads, preferably Japanese brands (they are the best) and I really like ones that glimmer, glitter and shine.....
9/14/16:

What are you interested in from the recent BPAL and BPTP updates? (Lilith, Lunacy, etc.) I'll get back to this one.....

Would you like hibiscus seeds? Yes!!

SW Fall 2016 Part 1

Witchee, would you like (would you wear?) a long wrap choker?
here's a random image of one I found on google: https://cdn.shopify....pg?v=1472662396

The one I would make for you would be done with pretty glass and/or semi precious stone beads. I can do any colors you choose, and I can use mostly tiny seed beads or chunkier beads or a combination of the two. So...what say you???

I vote yes please!!!!
I only like Chocolate Pocky.......not any of the other flavors. With or without nuts is fine!

I also like low sodium jerkies.....started eating them as snacks with my finicky tummy!!

The Hierophant meads sound good....but I'm with Twi. I don't like beer, or hops. My favorite wine in the world is Ice Wine, with a very fruity slightly sweet sangria being the second. Even rieslings can be too dry for me.

Having said that, mead really intrigues me, and I'd love to try it.

Just so my Witch knows, I'm very intrigued by the Halloween Atmo Spray THE ACTOR ICHUMURA MEETING A CAT GHOST ATMOSPHERE SPRAY.
Yep, I can provide Twi's old address no problem, and I'm open to minioning her, and a couple of others! I have addresses for some of my GUSPers.

Since we've lost Fabienne, if my witch can get their hands on: Girls Love Vanilla, Madame X or Gingerbread Whorehouse, I would be over the top excited!! I've never stored her perfumes, so I have no idea how they age. Anyone here know??

I got back from the doc's a little bit ago.....I apparently bruised my xiphoid process at the end of my sternum.....and, I have a sinus infection! Bleah!!

Thank you so much my beloved Witchee for the ecard and the sentiment! I actually have brownies and fudge both coming now, from my knitter friends in Ravelry and also GUSP'ers on Facebook. I think I'm good.

I also wanted to mention that I'm in a Tea Swap with my knitter group Ravelry, so please don't be sending me tea! I also still have some of my beloved apple Chai from last year. Oh! But, if it's out before the round ends, I do absolutely love the Stash Christmas Eve tea, and a box or two of that would be warmly appreciated. The mint in it helps my tummy, which is an added bonus, so I'm drinking a lot of it!!!

Brownies, the fudge kind, would not be turned away

I like flavor without a lot of heat.......the mild smoked chipotle and the smoked sweet cayenne sound really good. Nothing really over medium in the spice range as hubs is a super taster and can't handle any level of spice.

BDSM/Erotica; sure, I'm up for anything? With my illnesses and wonky energy levels because of them and the meds I take, I'm really hit or miss in the bed, and as I'm pretty visual, that would be fun and spicy for me. I very much tend towards the submissive to my much more dominant husband.

Weenies and NYCC scents.....I'm still pondering. Just got the holiday Lush catalog - some winners in there!!!
I'd really love some thick warm soft socks....not slipper socks though, the jellies on the bottom wig me anymore. I wear a Youth 4 size shoe, so adult size socks tend to be kinda big on me unless they are specifically for the smaller women's sizes.

I'm really into leggings right now, and they tell me that Walmart has some gorgeous fleece lined ones for under $8......I wear solid tops so pretty much any print on the bottom would work, and roses, skulls, sugar skulls, fall leaves would all work. I'm a solid 12 in pants right now, and don't want them skin tight. I have those already

I adore the Bee Folks, and get their honey on a regular basis. I am on my last jar of Cranberry Honey and would love a jar or two! It's my very top favorite and I go through 6-7 jars a year on average.

SW Fall 2016 - ThinkGeek things I love!

Think Geek? Oh bloody hell......I'm off to make a list! And here goes.....

Path to Polaris bracelet
R2D2 car charger
Star Wars planet glassware
Millenium Falcon hot/cold mug
R2D2 Power Station
Maurader's Map scarf
Firefly playing cards

Okay, that's all the sale stuff. As an aside, I need a 2017 calendar. I wanted to buy myself the Pinups and Pitbulls one, but with my overdraft situation, I have no monies......
Other fandoms for a cool calendar would be Firefly, Orphan Black, pitbulls in general, Monet, and anything by Michael Whedon.

12 Days of Christmas Swap 2016

Do you have a wood-burning fireplace or fire pit, and if so would you like handmade firestarters or scenting bundles to throw on it? (think bundles of apple wood chips and cinnamon bark, or little wax/herb/paper bundles with a wick)

Do you like games (board/card), and if so what kind and for how many players?

Trader Joes doesn't exist here. If you want to, then sure

Do you have any interest in Shakespearean swag (insult mugs, play themed lip balms, oodles of other possibilities) or general performing arts related goodies?
Yes

Do you have any external wishlists, Goodreads, or anything else that you might not have listed in your survey? No I don't but I am always interested in learning about new authors.

For books that are part of a series, do you have a strong preference for whether you receive them in order, assuming that any overarching plot is reasonably easy to pick up on and the main story is self contained?
In order

what kind of collector are you? And do you have a log or a list somewhere away from the forum of the things you love, hate or already own?
Other than perfume, not anymore. Am keeping my possessions light in case I move city/country again

Christmas decor?
I haven't decorated for Xmas in years as I live alone but I love Christmas decorations

When it comes to makeup, what is your coloring? Fair, dark? Sensitive skin? Eye color? Hair color? Style....funky, natural? Any additional makeup info?
NA

Is there any craft or hobby that you are interested in trying?
I am in a craft free zone at the moment. Was making jewellery a while ago

I love crocheting, it's my favorite hobby. Can I make you a scarf/cowl/sweater/lap blanket to keep you wintery-warm!?

I would if I live in a cold place but most of the year here is sticky and warm/hot

How do you feel about knit socks? (Plain stockinette, lacework, cables, etc). Are there any other hand knit items you'd especially like? (Mittens, fingerless gloves, hats, etc).

Socks are OK for the few days of the year that get coldish or when I visit my family in New Zealand

How do you feel about amigurumi (i.e. little crochet toys), either characters from a fandom, wee animals, or as decorations?

I am OK with them

What kind of snacks do you like? Does dried fruit or crunchy dried vegetables sound appealing? Do you like (raw) honey? Jerky? Jam? What sort of local products do you like to receive as gifts? If you're familiar with products in the Pacific Northwest, is there anything specific you'd like to try?

Nothing that wouldn't get through customs. Prefer savoury snacks but also love chocolate

If there's one place you could go in the world, where and why?
Wouldn't mind visiting Europe. Always love going to the US.

What sort of dollar store items do you always get a kick out of?
Don't really frequent them

I am a keen gardener and orchid grower but no plant/organic material, please.
Favourite flowers to look at touch: Orchids, Tall bearded irises, daffodils

Favourite flowers to sniff: Freesia, daphne

If you had a custom perfume/beauty/bath product made for you, what would it be and what would the scent description look like? (everything from prose to the specific selection of notes)
A custom blend would probably be patchouli, vanilla, frangipani, rum

I love drawing! Either fanart chibis on the tablet or portrait work in graphite pencil... but it's been a while..so I'd love to use this as an excuse to draw something for you! If you could commission an art piece, would you choose traditional or digital artwork- and what would it be of?

Digital. Not entirely sure but I am sure it would be great!
