A bath oil to help you relax after slaying dragons, polymorphing prickish princes, carrying water in irritating sieves, breaking all manner of curses, and grooming talking animals: Roman chamomile, bourbon geranium, Indian frankincense, French lavender, and vanilla orchid.

First review, wow!

Just got my Inquisition set and took a bath with this today! I wasn't totally sure about the notes to start off with, but the other Nice bath oil really isn't my thing, and I thought the idea of a lavender bath oil sounded nice--I don't have any others with lavender in them. In the bottle, I still wasn't sure; it smelled very heavy and a bit much, to my nose, a bit muddled, which I think was the frankincense and chamomile with the lavender, with the sweetness of the orchid, but I had faith that in the bath it would still turn out nicely.

And it certainly did! It's actually even nicer than I was expecting. In the bath it turns in a deliciously rich lavender, the other notes providing depth and support for the very present lavender overlaying them. It's the same lavender I smell in Somnus, to my nose, sweet and almost soft, though of course the other notes give it quite the different feeling. It's not herbal, per se, and not incensey, per se, but it is a rich, deep, complicated lavender with some sweetness and some spice. I really like it! I'm going to enjoy taking more baths with this in the future. I do think I used a little too much oil in the bath, and it didn't entirely mix in, but that's my fault--I thought I might have used too much to start. It made my bathroom smell wonderfully of spicy, rich, sweet lavender after, too! And now my skin feels great, very soft and smooth, and I really need that, since I'm home for the holidays and it's much, much drier here. Perfect timing!

Remind me never again to attend a skin party where both lavender and frankincense are together. Apparently my skin has decided that the combination of the two = latex, and I smell like I've been prepping for surgery or rolling around on condoms. Only when the scent is juuuuust about the dissipate do the other notes show up and I get something more tolerable.

I'll try it in the bath rather than directly on the skin as a moisturizer to see if it's more agreeable, otherwise it looks like the Fourth Impossible Errand was to get my skin to agree with it.

I love geranium. It reminds me of Aura Suavis shower gel from Lush, which reminds me of my son, who happens to love that shower gel. He used it in really hot weather, so it reminds me of summer and my son. I wish it was still available. So, this is geranium dominant at first, really smelling a lot of the aforementioned shower gel. It dries to a soft, creamy vanilla scent with a touch of floral, which must be the vanilla orchid coming out. So even though the geranium didn't stick around, this is still very pretty, and I like the dry down as much as the earlier stages. Win, but I'll probably enjoy this more in warmer months.

I love this!!! After the champagne disappointment of unhappily ever after, I found the first bath oil I love. I use it as a moisturizer after a shower. The scent is herbally sweet with lavender, geranium, chamomile, frankincense, and a tiny bit of vanilla. It blends together seamlessly and envelopes me in a calming cloud of herbally goodness!! I got this from another forum member and will have to buy another bottle before the inquisition goes down. Perfect for my shower before this epic ice storm that stressing me out a bit....

Lavender, geranium and hints of vanilla orchid.

At the beginning, this seemed like a lite version of TKO, with a soft pillowy lavender. And then the other notes started to make a presence.

Calming, herbal, lavender

I used up the last of my Three Impossible Errands bath oil bottle today (I'm in use-it-up mode and enjoying every moment of clearing my little BPTP shelf in the bathroom!). This has been my go-to moisturizer when I take a late night shower before bed or just want something herbal and calming. The blend of notes here harmonizes well with and reminds me of the Somnium blends, as well as TKO and the wonderful Erebos atmo spray. It's very grounding and a perfect base for one of those soothing, sleepytime blends. I like the astringent note in lavender, but others who find it too high pitched might not enjoy it here—this bath oil is very lavender-forward, even though it's also well-blended with the other notes.
