Extremely pale yellow, nearly colourless oil. Dry spices and dusty wood. Cedar, black pepper, white pepper, dried ginger - and som sweeter, darker, dry wood - maybe mahogany or teak?

I'm getting more ginger than black pepper here. But cedar for sure. The black pepper comes out more on the drydown. Sweet woods, with a slightly masculine vibe.

Peppery wood. Cedar I think. Just a touch of fresh-sawn wood smell, combined with another lightly incensey-toned wood. Smooth, soft, unassuming. I like it. Sort of like Capela dos Ossos, only I can smell it better. On dry down the fresh cut edge rolls off and it's a sweetish incensed wood, perhaps a sandalwood/cedar combo, and most of the pepper is gone; it's really nice. Would be great layered with other stuff, too... I kind of want to try it with something that's all red musk and bright like Semiramis, that could use some extra grounding. Very comforting and quiet/contemplative on its own though.

I've tested about 35 protos from this circle now, and this is the first one I've liked!

Fresh-sawn cedar, hints of champaca and orange blossom, and ginger, nutmeg, and pink peppercorn. Also a sharp pine resin in the vial. There are fifteen dodgy minutes where it's pure petshop (cedar pet bedding and disinfectant!), but the petshop settles down, and I get a light peppery floral mixed in with the woods - sweat pea? There's also a citrusy orange note.

I agree with Myth that it needs more oomph at the bottom, but it's a lovely light cedar blend.

I like this blend a lot. It's sort of like pepper-spicy cedar chips with a drydown that's more like a sweet, warm sandalwood incense. I might try to track down a bottle for my hubby at some point. I just wish that it were a bit stronger and that it had more throw to it.
