I get more strawberry shampoo on me. A very realistic strawberry smelling, strawberry shampoo, but not so much candy on me.

This scent has a bit more going on, all at once, than I'm used to for BPAL. When I'm paying attention, I get the berry, pine, pepper, and rose all at once, in equal measure, with the other notes coming together to give the scent some background sweetness. When I'm not paying attention and just catch a whiff, I get a spicy, almost cinnamon, berry smell. I think, on me, the balsam and pepper are coming together to make the 'spice' part of the scent I'm getting, where the rose sweetens and adds to the berry part of the scent. Someone else described this as potpourri and I find that to be pretty on the nose. I would describe this as a winter season, almost foody, potpourri.

I had high hopes for this one, but sadly, it feel a little short. At the beginning, as it dries and for a bit after it is fully dry, it's this great mix of chocolate and vetiver that smells like melting, dark chocolate with the rooty, earthy edge to it. As time goes on, the chocolate fades faster than the vetiver until it's this especially rooty, fresh vetiver, with the sweetness of the chocolate as an afterthought. Overall this is much more of a vetiver scent, and I was hoping it would be more equal parts chocolate as well. I'm glad I have it in my collection, to me, it isn't as much of a KO as I expect exclusives to be.

Very sweet lemon and lime scent. Equal amounts of lemon and lime, even after it's dried down for a while, and a lot of sugar. It doesn't smell like a hard candy though, the sugar acts to take away the tartness of both the lemon and lime. I was not sure if I was going to like this as I'm a citrus fan, but not really a lime fan, but I'm pretty close to loving this.

Deep amber oudh with a strong spike of bright citrus. On me, the amber is the strongest note, but when I stop and take a good whiff, the orange is right there, almost rivaling the amber. I'm personally more of a citrus fan, so I like this, but am not in love with it.

I would definitely describe this as a pomegranate scent without it being very sweet and a foodie scent. I personally cannot pick out any of the other notes individually, but they all come together to balance each other out to make a sweeter scent (I think its the honeyed incense and the carnation) and to deepen the pomegranate without overpowering it.

I mostly get rose and benzoin, with more benzoin as it wears. The honey myrtle and ambrette seed sweeten the benzoin and rose, and I am not able to pick these two notes out individually. It's a nice rose/benzoin blend and I am glad I got a decant of it. I will have to try it a few more times to find out if I'll go for a full bottle.

Sugar and honey with a side of rose. As time goes on, the sugar and honey turn into more of a cotton candy scent, which is less overpowering for the rose. I smell more of a white rose and wish it was stronger in the beginning.

Fresh dirt with a sweet spice to it. As time goes on, the sweet, spice, root part of the scent gets stronger, but never overtakes the dirt. Where Zombi smells like you just planted a freshly bloomed rose, In the Ground Where All the Dead Lie Smells like you went digging in the dirt for roots and bulbs. I personally like Zombi better, but I'm a rose lover and I'm still glad to have an decant of this in my collection when the mood strikes.

I get a mix of vetiver and hay, with just enough lemon in the background to be noticeable. There are other notes rounding it all out, I assume the agarwood and the leather, but I can't pick them out individually. It's pleasant and I'm surprised at how subdued the scent is.

Right as I applied this I got strong blueberries and oranges, smelled like a smoothie. The orange went away super quickly, leaving blueberries as the star of the show, with the florals in the background making the scent more mature. On me it's not fresh blueberries, someone else described it as a blueberry musk and that's exactly on the nose for me. It's a lovely and unique scent.

Fresh wood chips and tobacco, with a touch of rose. Very western and true to the inspiration.

A very grape champagne scent with rose and lavender. The champagne, and the grape of the champagne, stick out the most by far to me, where I can just barely pick out the rose and lavender. I can tell other scents like sandalwood and musk are there, I cannot pick them out though, and serve to round out the scent. A beautiful blend that smells to me like one is in the middle of a sip of champagne with freshly cut rose and lavender nearby.

This is a two note for me: rose geranium and pink peppercorn. The rose geranium is the strongest scent, but just barely. I would recommend this to other rose lovers and think it makes a great addition to a collection, without being too similar to other rose scents.

A big cup of coffee with creme. As time goes on the cinnamon becomes more noticeable, but never overtakes the coffee. If you are searching for a coffee scent, I would recommend this one.

Lemon and rose. I still found that lemon is the strongest in this scent over the rose, and it's a sweeter verbena scent, as opposed to cleaning supply smell. Nice longevity, I just wish the rose was stronger in this scent.

A pink, sweet rose, absolutely covered in sugar. Definitely a rose scent, but on me there is a lot of sugar in the blend. Good longevity and throw on the skin.

It’s not quite as fun when you lose the key. Pink cotton candy, candied rose, and vanilla sugar. Rose and cotton candy on me. The rose fades faster than the sugar/cotton candy smell, making this, on me, more of a cotton candy smell on the long term. And the cotton candy smell sticks around for a decent amount of time. This reminds me of Un, but where Un is a hard candy, as opposed to Pink Fuzzy Handcuffs cotton candy smell. I also find Un to be a better dupe for Lush's Rose Jam. Overall, I wish the rose stuck around longer, though this is still a nice cotton candy/rose scent.

I get pine, dirt, and lavender in that order. It smells exactly like a pine forest with freshly turned dirt, and a hint of lavender. Great longevity and throw on me.

Red roses, heady Moroccan musk, cinnamon, lobelia, coconut flesh, magnolia blossoms, and tobacco tar. I would describe this as a rose/coconut musk blend. As time goes on, rose fades noticeably faster on my skin than the coconut, leaving a coconut musk scent with traces of other notes, like the rose and cinnamon. As always, I wish the rose scent lasted longer on my skin, but it is never truly forgotten in this blend. This is one of my personal favorites and would recommend it highly.

The rose definitely dominates the scent, with the vetiver being noticeable, but very much in the supportive role of this scent. The rose is more of a red, heady rose as opposed to a sweeter rose. As a rose lover, I was worried about the vetiver as I have found it tends to dominate in other scents, and I am happy that my worries were proved wrong and I'm very happy I was able to get a bottle.

I struggled to smell this on my skin. I tried applying it multiple times in a row and at best I got a tea with bergamot scent that faded pretty quickly. I'd recommend Scraps of Poetry instead from the same release for that lavender/bergamot scent.

The only notes I can pick out individually are lemon and sandalwood. The sweet lemon scent is definitely the strongest scent, with sandalwood in the background, and the others rounding out the scent. As with many lemon scents I wish the other notes were more noticeable over the lemon. It's still pleasant though and had good longevity on me.

On me, this starts off strictly coffee on the skin, and then quickly fades to a blend of cinnamon/nutmeg/cardamom blend, which has decent longevity on my skin. I was hoping for a coffee shop, which is how it starts, but it quickly becomes a rack of baking spices. It's nice enough and I'm glad I have an imp, but I'm not rushing to buy a bottle.

Frankincense with benzoin and rose. Throughout frankincense is the strongest scent. I can smell rose, which is on the sweeter side, and it fades faster than the other scents present. Benzoin is more constant and places second fiddle to the frankincense, rounding out the overall scent. To me, this is pretty similar to other frankincense/rose combos (ex: Sept, but with benzoin instead of vanilla) and folks who already have something like that in their collection may want to pass. On the other hand, if this scent combo is your jam, it is different enough to make a nice addition to one's collection.
