    The Mountebank

On me, this is equal parts balsam and lavender. I find them to balance each other really well. This strikes me as more of a winter seasonal scent though.

    Fate's Jester

Strong, slightly sugared, lemon scent, with red currant and patchouli not far behind. I would describe it as mature lemon, the currant and patchouli make the sugared-lemon smell more grown-up without overshadowing the lemon.

Red roses, agarwood, red patchouli, benzoin, and black currant. In the bottle: nice mix of rose, wood, and the patchouli/benzoin to round it out. Wet: agarwood starts to come out more Dry: Scent dominated by the agarwood with the patchouli playing a supporting role. I can barely smell benzoin, but, unfortunately, the rose goes away somewhat quickly and is never the star of the scent. Overall, I think this makes a nice, rounded wood scent and it had good longevity on my skin. I would not describe this as a rose scent at all.

    Spooky Action at a Distance

Wet and on the dry down, smells like a mix of rose, frankincense, and sandalwood, with rose being the most prominent. Somewhat quickly, the rose fades and I'm left with frankincense and sandalwood, with something a little extra that I cannot put my finger on (I'm guessing the elemi). I love the mix of rose, frankincense, and sandalwood. I'm disappointed that within an hour the rose is undetectable, but I'm certainly glad to keep this in my collection.

Orange is the strongest scent, but just, followed by rose. The orange is a bright, sugary orange, I'm thinking more tangerine. Definitely a fruity smell, but the rose is never forgotten. And the benzoin definitely plays the supporting roll by rounding it all out and bringing out the sweetness of both the orange and the rose. I am very pleased with how well the orange and rose work together. To me, it's like the citrus sibling of Quatre.

The hay absolute comes out the strongest in the bottle and upon first application. As it dries it quickly becomes dominated by a mix of tea rose and sandalwood, the hay still being noticeable, but in the background, and with maybe the tinniest touch of vanilla. In short, I would say a nice remix on a bright rose/sandalwood combo.

While wet and for a bit after drying, cocoa dominates the rose. As time goes on, I do find that the two balance each other and stays that way until they both fade. Not the greatest longevity, but I find I don't care as I love this smell so much. This has quickly become one of my favorites. In short, smells like a stereotypical valentine's day.

On me, the fig and apricot are the strongest scents, a nice, more mature fruit smell. The rose is present, but not as strong, when went and for a bit after drying. I found the scent to be somewhat quickly dominated by the fig/apricot combo. While it is still a pleasant smell, I wish the rose was more prominent and stayed around longer.

    Sept

I usually like stronger rose scents, but Sept is such a pleasant blend of vanilla, frankincense, and rose, it's really hard not to love. The creamy combo of vanilla and frankincense is the strongest smell, but the rose is not far behind. Decent longevity and makes for a great, understated smell.

On me, I mostly get sugar cookie, with rose when wet and for a short while after drying. The sugar cookie smell dominates and increasingly so with wear time. I was expecting more of a baked goods smell, but this, on me, leans more towards the artificial sugar smell I associate with candy. In that way, it reminds me of Un, but without the cherry/red flavor smell. Good wear time, but I wish the rose was more prominent and stuck around longer.

    Trois

A wet, slightly sweet, rose scent.

Definitely a dupe for Lush's Rose Jam. Super excited, as Rose Jam the body spray, goes weird on my skin. As it dries, I would more describe it as a "red flavor" candy with rose. As time goes on, I find the rose goes away while the cherry/red flavor candy turns into a pure candy/artificial sugar smell. Overall, I would say has decent longevity, I wish the rose stuck around longer.

On me, almost all I got was the spices, with a little bit of honey to bring it to the sweet side. I barely smelled the rose at all. It is a strong scent on me and lasted a while as well.
