a light, ladylike floral, but the wisteria and citrus in cordelia is too much for me.

way less chocolatey than the other 13 i have (the april 07), which is a very dry, spicy cocoa on me. there is a little bit of chocolate here (it's very creamy in the bottle) but what really pops out is the apple. it is a very autumnal scent- apple, wood and spice, with a bit of sugar and some vanilla. it smells like you took a craft store and made a high quality perfume out of it. i enjoy it quite a bit.

like a slightly boozy version of o. it smells gorgeous at first but fades very very quickly. i will keep it for now and consider swapping later.

i do not like the way hay moon smells in the bottle and as a result i was prepared to dislike it. i eventually forgot i was wearing it and about an hour later i found myself thinking, "mmm, what is that wonderful scent?" surprise surprise- it's hay moon! dry grass, warmed by the sun, sweet golden hay- this is gorgeous. it smells just like it's supposed to, hehe.

Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener

i freaking love this. i very much need a bottle! it literally smells like fizzy, fresh root beer. it reminds me a bit of diesel's fuel for life but better- purer and sweeter, and creamy- almost like a root beer float. perfect for summer. -
rangoon riptide would be sticky sweet fruity goodness if it weren't for the rum. i love to drink rum but it apparently hates my skin! the sweet pineapple and tart orange are sooo yummy but i can always smell the rum behind it, making everything flat and horrible. sigh.

first, i love the labels on these atomic luau lounge bottles. so cute! now... upa upa. i get a lot of rum. there is something almost like flat, watery cola about it. rum scents have never really worked on me (except for mary read)... this smells like grog, and i swapped that pretty much instantly. the vanilla takes on the waxy candle-like aspects of love's philosophy and the pineapple is hiding. i am so disappointed... i wanted to smell like a pina colada and instead i smell like a cheap candle.

so i wanted to order one of the "novel ideas for secret amusements" series, but i couldn't decide. in the end i figured that if i was only going to order one, it would be hard to go wrong with a perfume called men ringing bell with penises. i mean, there are penises on the label. even if it smelled terrible, i would own penis perfume, and how many people can say that? it's a really soft, slightly sweet scent. green sandalwood is wonderful stuff- sandalwood by itself makes me sneeze a lot but this is just pleasantly woody and fresh. unfortunately it's too soft for me. i like my scents to have some OOMPH! this smells like a nice bodywash to me. so much for eau de penis. i think i may swap or sell it.

i really hesitated about ordering beltane 08. i wanted a fresh, springy scent but i wasn't sure about all the mint and the flowers. but it's a really nice perfume! the mint does not make me smell like a tin of altoids, as i once feared. it just adds a really bright freshness to all the greenery and flowers. mostly this is like... green, fresh wood, on me. that's probably the best way i can describe it. i'm not sure if i will wear it, though.

i love earth rat! it is sweet, sugary melon candy. the dragon's blood lends it a bit of depth but overall this is sticky sweet candied goodness. unfortunately it lasts about an hour on me before fading completely forever.

at first hexennacht smells just like really fresh, sweet fir trees. a forest after a spring rain. it reminds me very much of wolf moon 07, at first- but underneath is the smoky incense and a warm amber glow. the fir softens as it dries and it mellows out into a soft, woodsy, rather autumnal scent. it seems to stay very close to my skin. not much throw, but really pleasant. i like scents that are woodsy without being overtly masculine!

the clove is too astringent and while it is overall well-blended it just doesn't work for me.

i so wish i had a bottle of this. i was very new to bpal when the dpp series came out and was not yet at the "yay let's spend $30 on a bottle of perfume i've never smelled!" stage, nor did i know what decants were. oh, if only. this is summery, sunshiney fresh-cut grass and dandelion goodness. i am allergic to grass but i love the scent- here i have all the aroma but none of the sniffles! absolutely perfect.

dark and murky. like a darker version of oblivion but with an unpleasant acrid note that really puts me off.
-
i think i was expecting more of a red wine here, but this is like a shimmering, sparkling white wine, a little fruity and oh em gee *dandelions*! it is very pretty and delicate and sweet. i feel like frolicking through a green meadow with dandelions in my hair eating fairy candies when i wear this!

wow, this is YUMMY. i don't have much luck with bpal foody blends, but this is ooey gooey caramel goodness. i don't know that it smells like a COOKIE, but it sure is delicious. mmm. (this is a review of sugar cookie 05.)
-
smooth and velvety, with a hint of tart ginger. it's very nice but not something i will wear.
-
sweet, but not as rich or sensual as i was expecting- it has a dry feeling; that's the tobacco, i believe. the caramel was there but like many foody scents it takes on a bit of a waxy note. i don't get any amber, unfortunately. pleasant, but not worth the bottle.

the vetiver totally destroys lunar eclipse for me. when i first got my bottle it had a pleasantly sweet, smoky kinda thing going on but now it just makes me gag. definitely one for the swap pile.

...This scent is that of unending, unquenchable hunger and feral madness. This is the dead of winter: a frozen night, chill wind, and the sharp, warm perfume of blood, fur, fang, and claw. Winter air, Terebinth pine, juniper berry, dusty orris, deep amber, white sandalwood, black musk, blue cedar, and tonka. wow, this is entirely different from what i expected. i thought wolf moon would be all dark and raw and savage. it's very piney, but it's this soft, subdued, lovely sweet pine that is anything but savage. it's very nice on me, just totally unexpected!

it smells like curry, metal and shoes. i don't think i want to smell like any of those things.
-
this was a huge surprise to me- a light, sweet, complex floral i can actually wear. it's amazing. when i wear it i find myself wondering, "mmm what smells good?" and what do you know, it's me! i've never had that reaction to a perfume before. it is so bright and spring-like and perfect. my favorite of the salon exhibit iii.
-
a pleasant, flowery aquatic. the ocean salt and the sweetness of freesia blend well. unfortunately like most florals i try to wear it becomes way way way too heavy and cloying as time goes on.
-
dark and bitter. smells like acrid smoke and dirt. deeeeffffinately not for me.
-
YUM pomegranate, but with some unfortunate florals that alternate between cloying and sour in the background. but oh em gee, that pomegranate is fabulous.
