    Venice

A complex, voluptuous scent that captures the robust beauty and of the Italian Renaissance: lemon, red currant, wisteria, red rose petals, heady jasmine, Florentine orris root, waterlily, red sandalwood, violet plum, and violet leaf. When I first tried this one, I was not expecting it to become one of my new favorites. I tend to not do well with lemon, and worried a bit about that, but I don't smell any lemon at all. I can smell the jasmine the strongest, with a touch of rose, but the Rose isn't overpowering or going old lady on me, as it tends to do. As it dries, it turns into a perfectly blended fruity/woodsy/floral. The sandalwood grounds it and gives it some depth and the currant/plum adds a tanginess that keeps the florals from going too heady. It makes me think of the Venecian courtesans as many others have mentioned. The way BPAL captures images in scents will never cease to amaze me. I adore this and will be buying a bottle.

    New Orleans

I was surprised to really like this one. On me, it's all jasmine and honeysuckle (I assume, I can't really tell them apart). I don't smell any lemon or spices. That's ok with me, I don't usually like lemon. Wouldn't have minded some spices though. It doesn't smell much like decay to me. In the dry down stage it starts to go a little soapy, but luckily that stage doesn't last. It's very strong on me, which I like. A very strong, slightly sweet, royal and heady floral. Maybe a bottle purchase for this one.

    Black Rose

I've tried several rose blends, trying to find one that works for me. I think I'm just going to have to accept that it may not happen. Rose tends to go sickly sweet on my skin, and this blend was no different. It did somehow smell dark and musky, a dark, musky sickly sweet. It was quite strong and made my stomach queasy. It was so heavy it was almost oppressive. My sister told me I smelled like an old lady. An overall fail for me.

    White Rabbit

Mostly all I smell on me is the linen. Nice and crisp. I don't get any milk or honey or tea. Sad, because I love all of those notes. More of what is want my sheets to smell like.

Like Mata Hari, this one was mostly coffee on me. I wonder if I amp it. Though this one was more of a Bailey's cream and coffee smell. It smelled nice, but not want I want to smell like.

    Mata Hari

I really wanted to like this one, it has several notes I love. But on my it smelled very strongly of coffee, which is not what I want to smell like.

    Liebeszauber

This had some of my favorite notes; carnation, honey, and vanilla, so I just had to get a bottle. On wet, it smells very strongly of citrus, and is a bit sharp and unpleasant. (No idea what cubeb smells like, so maybe that's the culprit). I was worried I may amp it like some of the previous reviewers had mentioned. Thankfully, after thirty minutes or so, the other notes start coming forward. It does remind me of Alice a bit (which is definitely a good thing). To me, Alice smells like tea, and sugar cookies next to a bouquet of flowers, all pink and girly. Liebezauber, on the other hand is lemon tarts and sugared carnation (didn't smell any rose). More feminine than girly, and I picture Victorian ladies at tea. I'm certainly not a note expert, that's just the image I get when I smell it and I think it's delightful. It lasted throughout the day and had moderate throw. I could smell it floating around me without having to put my nose to my arm. Definitely a keeper.

    Morocco

I loved Morrocco. It reminded me of a Turkish market on a summer day. On me the carnation comes through strong, and is warmed up by the spices. Its of perfect combination of smooth, creamy, and spicy. Long wearing and moderate throw on me. I'll definitely need a bottle of this.

    The King's Daughter

The King's Daughter was very lovely and gentle. I got mostly watermelon and sweet pea with a touch of powder, a delicate and effervescent scent. I wish I had experienced the more regal dry down that others have mentioned, but on me it was very light and then gone in about an hour. Shame

    Prince Lir

I had such high hopes for this one, as Prince Lir was my favorite Last Unicorn character. Alas, it wasn't to be. I tried this on my guy first, and within a few minutes it turned to latex gloves on him. Very strong, very potent latex gloves. He left it on for two hours before giving up. He said he felt like a nurse was trying tying to suffocate him with a gloved hand. It was so strange! On me it was very citrusy and soapy, smelled very much like my house smells after a deep cleaning. Citrus isn't a favorite of mine so I won't be keeping my imp.

    Alice

I got this one awhile back to try, but for some reason out it off thinking it wouldn't work. Silly me Alice is perfection on me, my new favorite. It doesn't really morph at all, from wet to dry its a sweet, creamy floral, with a good amount of the carnation coming through to add some spice. It smells like sugar cookies and tea next to a bouquet of soft pink flowers. Very girly and young, but I don't get little girly like some folks have mentioned, at least on me. Ordering a bottle ASAP!
