    A Lady Tall and White

This is piney. A soft, delicate pine. It conjures images of soft, white snow and fabric, but it mostly smells like the pine needles with soap. Its delicate. Pine doesn't play nice on my skin, but I'll let it age and see. Snow Flakes works better for me. However, if you were a fan of Cloister Graveyard in The Snow or missed it, this one is similar from what I can remember, although I would have to try them on side by side to give you a full comparison.

    Haunted

Well it hasn't gone sour with my skin chemistry yet, so that's good. It did go sharp soap on, with something extra. Its actually kinda creeping me out, almost like attracting ghosts or something. Kinda powdery. I'll let it age and see what happens.

    The Black Rider

Yay for frimps! Especially ones you were already curious about. In fresh-from-the-lab (+ a few days) imp: Interesting. Masculine. Well blended. Wet on skin: Almost emotional, visual reaction. Its hard to say whether it smells like black leather, or just gives the impression of it like the spirit of it rather than the actual physical leather. The tobacco is clinging to the fabric. ...this has a creepy feel, like Ichabod better watch out before Mr. Darkness rides out of the woods with his cape flying in the moonlight, tattering up tobacco fields. Holy shit. Makes me think of black metal, too. Satyricon sort of stuff. Drydown: Well that was fun while it lasted. There's a sharp soap smell coming off it now. Maybe the amber? Its like if Ichabod defended himself with the shaving water basin, that's it. That's on top of the woody...I wanna say piney note but its not its...hard to describe. Just woody. Might let this baby age. There was a glimmer of Antikythera's yumminess for a bit there, before the soapiness hit, so it may work out eventually. Very little sourness, so that's good! Yeah just kinda sharp soapy now, but this would work wonders on the right skin. I'd love to smell this on a man. If tobacco, amber, and leather work well on you, give it a go! I just have strange chemistry.

    Autumn Lace

In bottle: Rich and sweet with an old world feel and an afterglow of sharp soap. Wet on skin: the same, with more richness coming forth. Drydown: This has a sharp powder note coming through. Nothing like the yum of Antique Lace or Tattered Lace on me. Actually Snow Flakes smells closer to Tattered Lace than this does to my nose. Its powder with a touch of boozy depth. Achoo! Sneeze not good! Later: Autumn Lace has more similarity to Gothic Horror on me than Tattered Lace or Antique Lace. It has a dark, perfumey quality. Sadly the powder note is amping the most. It just doesn't have the sweetness I was hoping and aging it didn't help my case. This little girl needs a new bud.

    Pumpkin IV (2008)

'08 version: The sweet pumpkin part is nice, but the sharp note is ruining it for my chemistry. =( I has a sad! Nice and rich in the bottle, might make a good room scent or rock on the right person!

    Fae

In the imp (aged): Kinda smells like a vintage perfume bottle that has dried up over the years, but sweetier and fruitier. Wet on skin: Fruit with powder, but there IS a gossamer sort of quality to it. Drydown: Oh darn my chemistry, its going to straight powder-wait. There's something playful and fun behind it if I smell closely. Its kinda like a blanket of cleanliness and soap with a cute little fruit-smelling creature beneath it. Maybe the peach? Hmm. I wanted to like this one as I love peaches and all things faerie, but alas its mostly soapy heliotrope for me. I'm still looking for the perfect fae-like/huldrfolk scent. Glittering Apple of The Stars gives more of an otherworldly quality and works much better on my skin than Fae. Its kinda morphing into something vaguely nice, but this would be much better for someone who is looking for a clean/powder scent with a hint of fruit. =)

    Muse of the Night

I wanted to like this blend so much! The imagery reminded me of The Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness, a favorite album, so I was delighted to see the last person to post a review's SN is Porcelina! This blend smells fruity and whispy in the bottle and wet on skin. It soon turns soapy/powdery in the drydown, with the fruit coming through intermittently. Even now that it is aged it still smells of powder on me, unfortunately. Hopefully the two bottles I bought will go to a good home.
