  1. If I can only pick two - Antikythera Mechanism and Dee. I love both of them fresh, but aged? They are spectacular.
  2. Recalcitrant Dragon is probably my favourite!
  3. Dry tobacco and amber. Oh my goodness, I LOVE this. At first there's an almost cologne-y vibe - not anything that I associate with amber at all, so I'm not sure what it is - but then the tobacco comes forward and it smells amazing. I don't think it's the French tobacco or Bulgarian tobacco note, but it's closer to the latter than the former. Very dry with an almost spicy quality that's incredibly addictive. It's definitely tobacco-dominant, with the amber just rounding it out and keeping it from being too dry. It's also one of the longest-lasting atmos I've tried - I sprayed it on my sheets before bed and I could still clearly smell it for days afterward.
  4. Black patchouli, obsidian, and oudh. This is definitely dominated by the black patchouli on me, but it's not an especially gnarly patch - just very earthy and grounding. I don't get a whole lot of oudh but I'm hoping it comes out more with a little ageing, and as for the obsidian - I confess, I'm not entirely sure what that could be. I'm not smelling anything like a stone or glass note, but it might be a type of musk. Not black musk... something a little softer. In fact, the whole thing is softer than the notes might lead you to believe. All in all this is pretty much what I was hoping it would be so I'm very glad I bought a bottle. If you're a patchouli lover, you won't be disappointed.

Who do I email with questions? BPAL/BPTP contact info

I've been trying to email the lab at answers@blackphoenixalchemylab.com but I keep getting undeliverable notices. I used a couple of different email accounts and keep getting the same result. Has the address changed at all?

Death on a Pale Pumpkin Hair Gloss

And I looked, and behold a pale gourd: green patchouli and white pumpkin with yew berry, black cypress, white sandalwood, spectral niaouli, eucalyptus petal, and dry white mint. This is gorgeous. The pumpkin is present, yes, but it's not as thick or as cloying as pumpkin scents can be - it's quite fresh, unisex, and incredibly moreish. I could wear this all year round. I don't get a whole lot of sandalwood, or a very clear sense of mint, cypress of eucalyptus - I just get a sense of freshness with the creamy, comforting scent of pumpkin. I am seriously considering a back up.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but how do I contact the lab to request a change of delivery address? My order is still processing. Thanks!
