Swap questions for 13 Nights of Halloween

A note to my Goblin(?) - I forgot to mention a format of books that is good is physical! I'm super happy to get books, and used books are good, too. And related to that, an inexpensive item I appreciate is a good bookmark. A handmade bookmark, even, if you are crafty that way. What is your favorite thing about Halloween? I love almost all of it. The cooler weather, longer nights, rain (I hope), and all the witches and ghosts and gothic funstuff my little heart could desire. Would you like a Halloween-themed cross-stitch piece of art done by your partner? If so, do you prefer something practical, like a cross-stitch dishtowel or table runner, or something to be hung on the wall? I've been getting into cross-stitch again and having fun with Halloween patterns. Sure, I'd love something like Halloween dishtowels, or along thos lines. We don't really do wall art at my house. Are you coveting something from the Lilith release? I'm safe from this update Have you seen the Haus of Gloi Fall update? Does anything from that tickle your fancy? I'm tempted by the Queen Mother Fall 2018 or Shadow Fairy perfume oil and Persephone Descending in Bubbling Scrub or Hair oil Enamel Pins: Aesthetically they're fine, but I always lose them. Would you appreciate handknits? Any preference (socks, hats, cowls, mitts, etc) Certainly! I don't really do knit hats, except maybe a nice stocking cap, but hooray on the rest of it. What kind of local goods do you like to pick up/try when you visit somewhere new? Ummm, I don't generally speaking...But I'll pretend for this question. Foodstuff, probably. Local honey, maybe. Or something from a local crafter. Something yarn related, maybe? Do you like to cook or bake, and if so, would you like any cooking accessories, mixes, or ingredients? I do all the cooking and baking in my house. Something fun for the kitchen would be nice. A fun/fancy spoon rest or bread making accessories. Pumpkin Spice: I prefer my pumpkin spice to be paired with pumpkin. As a scent...eh. It's all right, but the hype drives me nuts. Do you like Day of the Dead goodies? As cultural art celebrating a religious holiday I find it fascinating. But like Kokopelli, I find the commercialization of it disturbing. How do you feel about homemade edibles? Not just baked goods, but fruit butters, jams and such-like? Do you prefer savory or sweet or yes? I love homemade edibles, with the caveat that they are vegetarian. Socks? Certainly! I prefer calf and knee length Things Japanese? Interesting flavors of kitkats, aside from that I don't know Yankee Candle or Bath & Body Works? No thank you Recent LEs, updates? No thank you Fandoms? Sort of? There are things I follow, or love and wouldn't mind artifacts relating too them...official or otherwise. In no particular order: Anything from Jhonen Vasquez, especially Zim or Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, anything (except the small children's books) by Neil Gaiman, Girl Genius online comic, the various works of Ursula Vernon (mostly in her grown-up T. Kingfisher hat) including the Hidden Almanac podcast, Archive 81, the Tanis podcast, and Welcome to Nightvale Disney? Nightmare Before Xmas! Also, I love the Haunted Mansion and New Orleans Square Star Wars? Only the original 3 Harry Potter? No Honey? Certainly Would you like flavored oils or vinegars? Yes, please! . Do you have any interest in fun tees or other goodies either related to your fandoms or otherwise from TeeTurtle or similar sites (https://www.teeturtle.com/)? If the answer is yes, what's your t-shirt size? I love my crow "Murder!" shirt from tee turtle and I remember they had some other super cute Halloween shirts (including some Nightmare Before Christmas) last year. Also, Topataco had a great "Mord" shirt from the Hidden Almanac podcast Do you have a favorite musical, opera, playwright or other theatrical or performing arts interest for which you might like interesting goodies? Um...not that I know of? Do you have any desire/need for a new umbrella? I think we're good on those rightnow Any desire for mugs - travel or otherwise? How about water bottles? I would dearly love some good Halloween or Fall latte mugs Pumpkin *spice* with or without chocolate? Pumpkin spice, as spice, is good! With chocolate is even better. If you like/want books, do you have a goodreads or other place where you discuss your favorite books? Would you be interested in a spooky Halloween compilation or a classic halloweenie/autumnal book like Ray Bradbury's The Halloween Tree or Something Wicked This Way Comes? I don't...I recently deleted my Goodreads, for reasons, and have yet to set up something else. But I would certainly enjoy a spooky/Halloween story collection or book. When I was younger I read the compilation "Ghosts, Ghosts, Ghosts" and "Witches, Witches, Witches" several times (they were in the school library. My introduction to Baba Gaga, who featured prominently in the witches book.) Fluffy pompom or without? I would proudly wear either, though my general preference is without.

    Pumpkin Spice Perversion

This smells almost exactly like Pumpkin Tobacco Atmo Spray from the Post Weenies last year. If you loved that you will love this.

    Xmas 12 of '17

Are you coveting anything currently available from Haus of Gloi? Nefarious Gingerbread Men, Snow Wolf or Rosy Cheeked all sound good. In Whipped Soap, Pumpkin Butter or Hair Oil all sound good to me! Any of the available Winter update in candles works, too. Are you coveting anything from the Paintbox Soapworks update that just happened? Paintbox, any of the Winter edition in bar soap or wax melts. I don't have a burner, but they smell nice just placed around the house, too. Are you coveting anything from Cocoa Pink? CP isn't my thing. Do you have feelings about fruitcake? We're talking whiskey soaked homemade fruitcake, not a brick in a festive tin. We like fruitcake so much in our house, we make our own Any strong nail polish and/or makeup preferences? I love super sparkly nail polish. Multichromes, foils and glass flecks are my favorites. I don't really use any other makeups. Pomanders? I love making these, they make the house smell super Christmas-y Savor? This store was my introduction to whipped soap, and I love them! Honey Love Dust is a favorite, and I'm interested in trying Hot Coffee, and Jade Perfectly Posh? The BFF face polish or Don't Be Bitter Baby hand creme (they have good hand creme) Favorite animals? I like them all, but especially cats, bats, octopi Weird question, but it's on my mind: Do you have a strong preference for consumables (soaps, candles, food, etc.) over other stuff? Not a strong preference, they're all good. My only note would be that we're not super snackers, so food stuffs as accents (particularly chocolate and coffee) are super welcome, but not necessarily as the main component. Would you be interested in one of the Colorpop pallets? Anything else from Colourpop? I don't really wear makeup except nail polish Would you like any holiday music? if so, do you prefer a CD or MP3? We like tradional (as in medieval/Renaissance) music, Irish carols, or 30's through the 50's. Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, that sort of thing is welcome, too. MP3 as we don;t have any way to play CDs atm Do you like toffee or fudge? Love 'em both, especially homemade Are you interested in anything from my etsy shop? https://www.etsy.com...winklentwilight(bags, stuffies, hats, fingerless mitts, lefse cozies...) Love the bags! (Well, I like the mitts, too, but I usually make my own). The drawstring bags are particularly good. Cats, bats, octopus fabrics are all gorgeous How do you feel about amigurumi (little crochet stuffies...animals, characters, ornaments, etc.)? I think they are adorable If I were to crochet you something wearable, do you have any preferences? Do you like hats, scarves, gloves, other? And would you prefer something fun and whimsical (e.g. fox face hat or owl mittens), something delicate and pretty (e.g. lacy wraps or scalloped boot cuffs), or just something like a basic, no frills beanie or cowl? Do you have a Ravelry account and a list of favorite patterns? Lacy things or slippers. I never wear mittens or scarves. What kind of hot drinks do you like, and if tea or coffee or cocoa or cider or alcohol, give specifics? Primarily coffee, I love dark roasts, single origins when I can get them (particularly African/Indonesians, please no Costa Rica). Flavored coffees are okay, too, particularly holiday flavors. We don;t have a grinder, so ground for a home espresso machine, if you can...but we can sneak grind it at the grocery store if necessary. I like tea, but practically never drink it. Cocoas and ciders are great! What kind of candles do you like, scent, etc? Holiday scented candles are good, as are decorated unscented candles Mixes or seasonings for the kitchen? Definitely! Middle Eastern and Asian spice blends particularly What is something new in your life that you wish you had more "things" for? That's a hard one. I bought an old school sewing machine (complete with table!) awhile back, and I haven't used it because I don't have anything for it...but that's because it's all in storage. I was starting to get into sewing when my other machine broke. But sewing supplies/accessories/books would be welcome. Nothing really "new" in my life, aside from that. We do a lot of baking and holiday good ridiculousness around here...house specialties include lebkuchen (flourless, they're mostly nuts, spices, candied fruit), marzipan, butter caramels (flavored or plain), shortbread crisps, and savory cheese shortbread. Any of these sound appealing? I confess I'm not a huge fan of lebkuchen, but the rest of the house is so it will be appreciatedly consumed by someone if it's in the box. The only marzipan I'm familiar with is the plastic-y commercial stuff that give s me a headache. I'm down with trying homemade if it's different (like homemade fruitcake vs commercial). The rest is all an unqualified yes! What are your top places to get a gift card from? Ummmm...anyplace that sells yarn. Lab or Post, Sock Dreams, etsy, HoG...ebook retailers, like Kobo. Which holiday symbols/themes do you like the best (or least)? Such as Santas, snowflakes, reindeer, etc. We like Country (rustic) Christmas, Victorian and homemade (I think that was covered in the ?aire. Not so fond of the very plastic and mass produced looking items. Do you like puzzles? I don't really have the patience for puzzles. Plus I'm pretty sure the cats would disappear/eat some of the pieces, or our husky would sweep it off the table with his big, fluffy tail. Do you have a strong preference for numbered packages vs randomly picking with maybe a few hints along the way? Whatever makes my partner happy. Are you jonesing for any particular BPAL right now? Anything you are just dying to try, even just a sniffie? Ummm....I miss some of my bottles in storage, but aside from that, no (sorry, am I a broken record yet?) How do you feel about the following flavors/ingredients: Coconut? It depends. I love coconut in thai food, and I have coconut flakes in my chia pudding...I really enjoy coconut popsicles and coconut cream pie. I would probably enjoy the coconut chips I see everywhere. But I loathe macaroons and most baked other baked goods with coconut. Mint? Again, it depends. I really like mint when I like it...but I don't always like it. It's partially a mood thing Lavender? I like lavender plants, and I enjoy it as an accent scent (or flavor), but it quickly becomes overwhelming. Rosewater? Oh, yes Cardamom? Please! Candied citrus peel/marmalade? I candy my own citrus peel, and we don;t really eat much jam/jelly/marmalade, but I'd love a good curd. Anything to absolutely avoid? Meat and meat by-products Would you like anything crafted for the storage or transport of the BPAL? (Travel imp containers, boxes for 5mls, bottle cozy, etc.) Probably not a cozy - I have mostly imps and rollerballs (less likely to spill). But a good imp container would be nice. Something to keep them upright so they don't leak If so, do you prefer them to be plain or decorated? Either or! If decorated, are there any motifs or art that you'd particularly like? Nightmare before Christmas, Victorian gothic, steampunk, celestial *A note on my wishlists - there are some items on my wishlists that are up there as placeholders and inspiration for me (like Pinterest, but for etailers) so I know there's some sold/no longer available items.

(I think this was on the survey, but again if there's something that you forgot...) Not yet, but I'll come back to this if something occurs to me. If you could decorate your house (or one room) in any one theme, what would it be? Your answer can be as simple ("Star Wars" or "Baroque" or "Modern"), or complicated or a combination (e.g. Victorian Gothic) as you feel best fits. 9/18/17 It seems like there's a question about socks on the questionnaire, but I don't think it got down to this level: Do you wear them? Any particular style (crew length, knee high, anklet, boot, etc.) or fiber (wool, cotton, bamboo anything but wool, etc.) preference? I do wear socks, I prefer longer length and if they have toes like gloves have fingers - so much the better! Would you be open to previously-loved books? Always What about partial-full bottles of BPAL or BPTP? I prefer partial bottles, actually. I like a lot of variety and I go through scent really slowly (imps last me over a year). Love them! 9/15/17 Would you like some Halloween or other themed decor in the form of a banner, something like this http://www.etsy.com/...n-decor-vintage? If so, would you prefer a traditional style or a vertical door type? I fear our damp winter climate would ruin such a thing, our slight overhang wouldn't provide much protection. Do you live near a Trader Joe's? If not, are you interested in trying any of the numerous Pumpkin goodies they come out with this time every year? I do live near a Joe's, I'm looking forward to their pumpkin spice coffee. Of course my absolute favorite is their candy cane Joe-joe's, but we're not quite there yet. Do you like to cook and/or bake? Could you use any specific ingredients (spices, oils, salts, extracts, etc.) or kitchen utensils/gadgets? I do cook and like exploring various cuisines. Can;t think of anything I especially want at the moment (other than more food huggers - those are so awesome). Surprise me! I'm good, thank you, though it reminds me I miss having a bike What is 1 thing you would love to see in your final box? Can be ANYTHING - your choice. A Lisa Snellings October is Coming poppet. Except the zombie poppet, I have that one. Who would love some USPS eclipse stamps? For sentimental value, sure 9/14/17 Do any of you potential Witchees have any kitties, puppers, or youngling humans you want spoiled in your packages? What treats or toys do they like? The four leggeds are super fussy. The kitties like Greenies exclusively, and the pup does trachs and bully sticks (the circular ones last longest). None of them really play with toys. Is there any interest in any of the fragrance oils from the Nocturne Alchemy Weenies update? Any of the Curses, Vampire Wine & Champagne, Legends of Horror Cinema or NAlloween blends (except Vanilla Bat), Potion n.113, Pumpkins 7 & 14 Is there anything you want from the trading post (or trading post etsy) that is available to order right now? (Fatherhood, Puppers, normal GC things) Harvest Festival or Orchards of Hell Atmos, or the Bloodbath BO from etsy. Beautiful Implacable Tyrant or Halr Loosened and Soiled Mid Orgies HG. 9/13/17 Are you a gamer? If so, what games are you currently playing and is there any merch for that game you'd love to have?- If you are a gamer do you have a steam/gamestop/amazon wishlist? I do have a steam account, I believe I'm psuke or psuke1 there. How do you feel about the following scarf options (assuming you're into scarves)? Simple eyelet scarf Chevron scarf Lacy and fuzzy Skinny rib knit (extra long for lots of wrapping) Leafy! I practically never wear scarves, but I do love a good cowl. Like beer? What styles most appeal to you? -Like booze? What kinds? -Like Wine? What kinds? I'm grouping these because we pretty much never drink. I do like a good cider, and in Colorado Springs, CO there was a beer called Laughing Lab that I totally adored, but can't find outside that state. New Belvedere was the brewing company, I think. My favorite alcohol ever is called Strega, and we do reds in this house. Would you be interested in a set of hand-made hair falls? It's something I do for fun and I can make any length and do an array of colors! I would invent an occasion to wear something like that if you made it for me For those who watch certain movies every year for Halloween, what are those movies, whether horror or not? Any favorite horror movies that aren't necessarily on the annual-viewing list? How do you feel about fan-made merch for these movies? We love the black & white horror, and most of the horror up to about the 80's. Japanese ghost movies are also awesome. Fan made merch for the classic b&w would be fantastic! 9/12/17 Here's a great local soapmaker I love--y'all see anything you would like? https://littleseedfarm.com/ Any of the bar soaps would be lovely! What are your favorite/preferred Halloween/autumn icons/images? Any to specifically stay away from? Witches, grim reapers, spiders, webs and bats. I'm over zombies. Like, really over. Do you eat candy, and if so would Halloween candy be welcome? Specialty candy from local or unusual sources? Chocolate? I do eat candy. Sometimes I think I eat too much candy, but we'll not go into that. Smarties and bottle caps, or similar would be awesome! Specialty candy and chocolate also welcome. Do you want Fidget spinners, desk toys, or other frivolous things that you look at and decide you don't need enough to spend $ on but would make you happy to have? Not a fidget spinner, but some other kind of desk toy could be fun Any zentangle lovers, people who would like to try it, or would you want a piece of someone else's zentangle art? I love zentangle! I've done it a few times, but now I need glasses to do it or it makes my eyes hurt. Any love of hair toys, clips, ribbons, fascinators, mini hats, etc? Fascinators and mini hats definitely! What local goodies may be of interest? Local Honey, jams, candy? Honey or candy could be tasty. We don't really use jam Are you interested in any prescription services like serial magazines, Birch box, ipsy? Yarn subscription boxes, or maybe the Goth Black Box would be more my speed. I did Julep for awhile, but canceled as I just couldn't keep up. I do the EC Boom!box and like that one, Would you like funky Halloweenie costume makeup like Gothic eyelashes, nail effects, black lipstick, etc.? My 20 (or even 30) year says "Awesome!", but now I wouldn't know where I'd wear it. How do you like to listen to music? CD, 8 track tape, mix tape, Pandora or Spotify, I-tunes? I don't like to much music these days, but when I do it's mostly Youtube or Google Play. Do you prefer reading on Kindle or actual book? What kind of books do you like? Would you like to be surprised with a scary, classic, horror book? Err, not to get overly political, but I'm avoiding Amazon. Kobo or B&N work great though! And physical books are always welcome. Scary, classic and horror are all fine, but please no zombies or supernatural porn (a la Charlaine Harris or Anita Blake) - I've read my fill of those. Candles, Incense, or wax tarts? Do you have favorite brands or Weenies scents for the home? Would you like to receive a wax tarts burner, incense burner, essential oils diffuser, or Halloweenie themed candle holders? Any are good. I don't have a tart burner, but sometimes tarts smell strong enough wihout heating (like the Moonalisa tarts). Weenie candle holders are always fun, and I wouldn't say no to an oil burner. Witchee: are you interested in crafting materials? Oh, yes! I knit and crochet, bead and wire wrap. I'm missing all my supplies - they're in storage a few hundred miles away. Well, I have my Addi Click interchangeables, some double points and yarn. But the rest are. 9/12/17 Do you want wax melts? I have no burner, but I've gotten sample wax melts from Moonalisa and just place them around and it works fine. 9/11/17 I'm in Japan, is there anything specific from here you would be interested in? YUZU! (Sorry to shout, but it's *impossible* to find here, unless I want to pay crazy shipping costs from specialty orchards) I'm in The Netherlands. Is there anything from The Netherlands/Europe that you're interested in? I'm not sure...try me. Bath & Body Works - love them or hate them? If the former, fave product types? Not so much a fan how would you feel about receiving a hand-painted container for your bpal and/or other treasures? if you are on board with that, would you want a big wood box (~50 bottles), a small wood box (~20 bottles) or a tin for carrying imps around? I'd love one! Something for 20+ bottles, for when my collection and I are reunited. if you were to receive something hand knit, what type of item would you like? hat, cowl, handwarmers, etc. and what color(s)? Cowls, mitts, socks. I don't wear many scarves, and I never wear mittens. Nail wraps - yay or nay? Would including a small manicure set to go with them help? My job is too hard on my nails for wraps. 9/9/17 Disney? If so, any favorite characters? Nightmare Before Christmas. I *loved* Little Mermaid, but not so much from a merch perspective. And to be more specific about Disney: How do you feel about Beauty and the beast? Eh. Little Mermaid was the last Disney that sent me over the moon. I've enjoyed others, but not loved them And what about Harry Potter related items? Pokemon? Any favorites? No Is there any thing, category, or brand from which you would absolutely NOT like to receive things (ie., you're overrun with candy corn, you don't do scents outside of BPAL, or if you ever see another Stephen King item, it will be too soon)? No candy corn or Peeps, please. And if I never see another zombie it will be too soon. The only exceptions would be art from Ursula Vernon or Lisa Snellings. What kinds of art/art medium do you most enjoy, or would you most like to receive, in the context of this swap? Figurines (smallish), smallish prints, knitted oddities, jewelry 9/9/17 What rares are you dying to try? Eve, Ava, Monsterbait Underpants - this one mostly because I'm curious about the hype. Do you like comic books and/or graphic novels? I loved Sandman, early Transmet and The Invisibles. I'm willing to try more Warren Ellis stuff. I read Girl Genius, Dresden Codak and Gunnerkrigg Court (all online) when I remember. 9/8/17 Are you ok with homemade food? Yes, provided it's vegetarian If you are ok with decorations, do you have a preference for table-top, wall hanging, or window decorations? I'd love decorations, Give me all the decorations. How do you feel about stationary and/or papercrafting supplies? I am kind of a stationary supplies slut, although I'm not such a fan of the pastel flower-type that seems ubiquitous, I like darker themes, or filigree. Gorey-style Victoriana - I think there's a Gorey shop somewhere that used to have stamps that were fabulous. Victorian/iligree washi tape is good, too. How do you feel about kitschy/silly Halloween jewelry? It's fabulous! Only at Halloween, but I'll wear the ridiculous plastic spider rings, and plastic pumpkins and the whole nine. Would you be interested in a Halloween wreath? Definitely!

    Switch Witch 2017 Q&A Wheee!

What are your feelings about Scooby Doo? I loved the Scooby-Doo with gues stars, especially the Addams Family and Harlem Globe Trotters. Other than that I'm kind of whatever. How do you feel about indie makeup (read: loose eyeshadow, blush, highlighter)? I almost never wear makeup, but a part of me really wants to make art with it - the colors! The sparkle! The same goes for nail polish, though I am more likely to wear polish than makeup. Would you like one of the Halloween Teeturtle shirts? https://www.teeturtl...alloween?page=1 Those are adorable! I particularly like "Boo Sheet", "Something Wicked" and "Voodoo Queen". They seem to run small in the Relaxed and Ultra, so a medium in relaxed fit and a large in the Ultra sizes I drink this stuff almost everyday would anyone else be interested in trying it out? https://www.criobru.com/ Interesting, but unless it can be brewed in an espresso machine, I have no way to make it right now. How would you feel about receiving a hand-painted container for your bpal and/or other treasures? - would you want a big wood box (~50 bottles), a small wood box (~20 bottles) or a tin for carrying imps around? That sounds lovely! Probably a big box, for when I finally am reunited with my collection. Who is into K-Beauty (Korean beauty products like sheet masks) - What are your faves if you are? - If you aren't would you like to try something? I don't really do masks, except sometimes clay masks such as Lush has. What are some NEW things you've gotten interested in this year? Could be anything, from a new hobby, new genre of book, new healthy way of living, new fav brand of whatever... I'm trying BuJo, though I'm sorta kinda stumbling around using it still. Bought an old Singer table sewing machine this year, and an Instant Pot. Are you interested in anything from the Moonalisa Halloween update? Candles and the Room sprays, mostly. The spray in detangler. Scents are: Honey Caramel Apple, Conjuring Room, Dusty Attic, Evil Garden, Forever and Ever, Gilded Bat, Late Harvest, Mad Heriot Parlor, Strega. What are your coffee and/or tea preferences? - Coffee: whole beans or ground? Coffee, ground for home espresso machine, - Flavor and roast preferences? Dark. Some flavored coffees are okay, such as pumpkin spice or caramel, otherwise, not so much. - Tea: black, green, herbal, flavors? I like tea, but almost never drink it, except a good chai concentrate. Tazo and Oregon Chai concentrates are the opposite of good. I also enjoy Rooibus - Loose leaf or tea bags? Bags, as I have no tea accessories - Anything specific you don't like? I don't think I've run across anything I can't stand, aside from overly sweet or cinnamon heavy chai concentrates such as noted above. - Are you in need of any gadgetry? I can't think of anything I *need*, though silicone bake mats and spatulas are always nice to have, as are the silicone fruit savers (https://foodhuggers.com/), I have a set and they are *awesome*. Do you enjoy stationery? I'm thinking cute/quality notebooks, washi tape, stickers, fun pens etc. Oh, gods, I am kind of a stationary slut. I love fancy pens, notebooks and stationary and have been *seriosuly tempted* to get into rubber stamps and sealing wax/stamps. I'm not really into the overly floral stationary that is the default, but filigree borders and some of the simpler gothic headers that can sometimes be found on Zazzle have caught my eye. Would you be interested in things from Future Primitive? (http://futureprimitivesoap.co.uk/) Dust Witch sounds tasty. Whipped soap is my main source of scented bath product joy, but I couold be tempted into a good body butter. Are there any UK things you'd like to get? Surprise me? Honestly, I'm not familiar enough with UK stuff to know what to ask for. Are you into podcasts? If so, what are your favorites? Would you like any merch related to any of them? I listen to many, although not as closely as I used to. Nightvale, Craftlit, The Pacific Northwest stories (Tanis is my favorite), Lore, Myths and Legends, several How Stuff Works series, HIdden Almanac, KUEC...a few others. Hidden Almanac, I think, has a Plague Doctor (Reverend Mord) shirt that's quite nice. Most "fan" merch I really like, though, is online comic related - Gunnerkrigg Court and Girl Genius in particular. Would you like something from Nui Cobalt Designs (https://nuicobaltdesigns.com/)? Or maybe some of Christina's lovely Halloween candles at Sihaya & Co. (https://www.sihayaan...lection-candles)? Lovely, but no ILNP? Who would love one of their awesome holos like MEGA or one of their amazing chromes? http://www.ilnp.com/ Oooo, I haven't bought them yet, but I've drooled over many of them Are you interested in anything from Cocoa Pink? No, thank you - Or Haus of Gloi? The Hex scent in Hair Oil, or Whipped Soap (once whipped soap drops, at any rate) Are there any hobbies or crafts you've been thinking of trying, but haven't had the chance yet? Wire jigging, wire wrapping and chainmaille Would you want to receive a custom spell kit or magical tea? If so, what purpose would you want it to be for? Sure? For luck, please Do you like poetry? I like to hear poetry, but not so much reading it Anyone like handmade critters, stuffed animals, or custom repaints? Oh, yes Would you enjoy any designer/specialty yarn for your own craftyness? Stitch Diva has some beautiful stuff - the beaded yarn and the Shine combo for two examples Would anyone like a donation made in their name to a cause or charity? Or maybe some of Christina's lovely Halloween candles at Sihaya & Co. (https://www.sihayaan...lection-candles)? ASPCA or Heifer Please provide wishes from the last two updates? "Ego Sum Lux Mundi", "Do All the Good You Can", "Valuable, Powerful and Deserving" from the Lilith Lab update, I prefer decants as I am a dabber. I don't do much costuming 9/14/17 Do any of you potential Witchees have any kitties, puppers, or youngling humans you want spoiled in your packages? What treats or toys do they like? I do have furbabies, but they are superfussy about their treats. The pup (he's a malamute/husky hybrid and a beautiful boy) does love bully sticks and trachs. The circular bully sticks last the longest - the others are crunched down in about 5 minutes. He doesn't fetch or play with toys, and the cats are both over ten and don't do much with the toys, either, except the occasional catnip toy. And scratchers. They love scratchers. As for treats, they love Greenies. Only Greenies, other treats just lay on the floor until vacuumed. Is there any interest in any of the fragrance oils from the Nocturne Alchemy Weenies update? There's a lot to love there...in Halloween Collection 1: Pumpkin 14, Potion n. 113, Blood Bond. In the Resurgence Collection Pumpkin 7, any of the NAlloween blends (except Vanilla Bat), all the curses and all the Vampire Wine & Champagne. Any of the Legends of Horror. I'd find an excuse to wear it. For those who watch certain movies every year for Halloween, what are those movies, whether horror or not? Any favorite horror movies that aren't necessarily on the annual-viewing list? How do you feel about fan-made merch for these movies? We do all our horror watching for Halloween - the classic black & whites, The Woman in Black (the original BBC production with Pauline Moran, not the atrocity which is the modern movie), pre-2000's horror (especially 70's and 80's horror). Memorabilia (fan art) from the black & white days would be awesome! 9/26/17 What are your top three most wanted DC'd or previous LE BPALs? If you like stationery, do you like plain, colors, images, or specific DON'T LIKES? What about general desk stuff like cool colored paperclips and post it pads? 1) Not calendars or day planners. I usually love the art, but I never use them. I *am* trying to get into the bullet journaling habit, so supplies for that are welcome. 2) I don;t particularly care for overly floral stationary. Not so much for me, but my brother probably would and his birthday is coming up. Is anyone interested in the new Resistance scents that the Lab just released (Take a Knee and SN: Flor de Maga)? Only for the sake of the cause. Is anyone here into zero waste, plastic free living, urban homesteading, or any simplicity/minimalism-esque lifestyles? If so, could you use any tools or equipment? I totally am, but the only thing I could use in my current situation is more reusable bulk food and produce bags. 9/23/17 Are you interested in anything from Bath & Bodyworks? Which products and scents do you like? www.bathandbodyworks.com/ No, thank you I am possibly going to a crystal / gem show tomorrow. I can't afford expensive gem stones, but... What kind of crystals would you like? quartzes, particularly colored or rutilated Pumpkin or Zucchini bread? Oooo, pumpkin bread! What kind of homemade cookies are your favorite? The kind I can eat Could you use a muscle rub? (We make ours on the lunar cycle and it has menthol, wintergreen, habanero, cayenne, olive oil, st. john's wort, arnica, beeswax, calendula, and ginger. It tingles. We call it "Thunder Butter". If you have really really super sensitive skin, I would recommend against it. And don't take a hot shower or open all of your pores before using it.) That sounds super intense, and my brother and mother would give me endless grief on its smell Interested in trying some of our rose petal (rose petals, sugar, everclear) or lavender vanilla bean (lavender, vanilla bean, vodka) liqueur? Oooo, yes please! Want some honey from the bees on our property? Certainly! Would you like some homemade jam? I have blackberry, rose petal, strawberry rhubarb, peach, and cherry. I have a commercial dehydrator so let me know if you are interested in any "Apple Crips" (as voodoocatwoman calls them!) I wash, peel, core, and slice before dehydrating. I haven't had apple chips in years. Decades, possibly. Sure! Do you need any kind of dice bag, tote, project bag, cosmetic bag, pencil bag, or whatever? I have lots of bag patterns and fabric. I only use rubber cases on my phone because I drop it way too often, but a new cover for my 7in Samsung Galaxy tablet would be nice 9/21/17 See's Candy. My absolute favorite. They have special Halloween candy..any of these pique your interest?? Cinnamon Apple Scotch Mallows, Pumpkin spice truffles, pumpkinspice lollypops, caramel apple lollypops, or any other of their chocolates, etc? Not really into See's Are any witchees into coloring books? I love them, but never have time to color Witchees, is there anything that catches your eye at Animi Causa (https://www.animicausa.com/shop/)? The Nessies! All of them! If I were to find an adorable autumnal/Halloween-y dish/flatware/etc. design, how many settings would be needed in your household? 3 9/20/17 Do you like Broadway shows/music? If so what are some of your favorites and/or ones that you hope to see or listen to eventually? Would you like merch from your favorite shows or CDs from shows you want to listen to? The only modern musical I care for (aside from the "Once More With Feeling" episode of Buffy) is Hedwig and the Angry Inch. And I have the CD for that. I wouldn't at all mind seeing it live again (I got to see a super intimate production at a club in Santa Fe and *adored it*) I'm heading to NYCC in October! Is there anything I can get my Witchee while I'm there? Eve's Big Apple's I-V or the Apple HG's (except the marshmallow) I'm going to Edmonton Expo this weekend (It's Edmonton's version of comic con). Would a witchee like anything from there? Surprise me? Anything catch your eye from this site (globalgirlfriend.com)? I love the idea, but the only items that catch my eye are more than I expect a witch to spend Do you have any favorite, lesser-known stores? Especially ones that sell hand-crafted or independently made items. No, I'm not up on those that aren't on etsy, The ones on etsy are in my shop favorites Imagine you're going to the most gigantic art & craft show imaginable, and money is no object - what kind of things would you gravitate towards and probably spend money on? Include as specific as you want to get! Money no object? A serge machine. I'd love to get more into sewing, but I wear mostly knit fabrics. Otherwise - nice hairpin lace loom, a yarn ball winder and swift, a set of nice wire wrapping pliers and a beginners kit for chain maille 10/3/17 Witchee, would you like anything from the Trading Post Halloween update? https://blackphoenix...y/weenies-2017/ No. I wanted one thing and I've already ordered it, 10/1/17 Awesome farmer's market by my house. I think they're adorable and kind of want them all, but especially the ghost and pirate ones. https://lovemomiji.c...imited-editions Those are very cute, but I have no place to put them.

    Ein Kuss von Krampus

20161227_184036 by psukeksc, on Flickr I have missed having a good multichrome. This is a deceptively dark polish, with a lovely red & purple shift. Opaque in two coats, with a little lifting of color so a third coat may be advisable.
  7. Diana Rect

    Hecate

When i first put this on I was not a fan. Creamy, sweet, plastic. No myrhh, no musk, practically diametrically opposed to what I was hoping for when I bought my imp. However after 20 minutes or so, the myrrh and musk have come more to forefront, making this a smokiefm spicier scent. It is stil creamier and sweeter than I was aiming for, but it's much more wearable.

    Pumpkin Latte

Wet in the bottle, this smells like pumpkin latte, although the coffee not is faint. Wet on the skin, the coffee note pretty much disappears on me, and it smells like pastry. It took me awhile to think of what this reminded me of, and then I got it. It smells almost exactly like "Mornings in New Orleans", from Liliths 2014(?). And the same overwhleming scent, too, although it wasn't until the second application a few hours later that this came clear. Just a light swipe of the imp wand was so strong a co-worker across the (small) room asked what the smell was. I had to use an alcohol wipe because it was giving me a headache. I'm going to stash this until next year, see how it ages. If it doesn't tame, or the coffee note (my whole raison d'achat) doesn't become more prominent I'll make it a room spray. It's not a *bad* scent, but now something I want to *wear*, at least, not yet.
  9. Diana Rect

    Apple VIII

Holy Moses, this is *apple*. Like juices running down your chin after a bite apple. There is a teensie bit of floral from the apple blossom, but the floral still has an apple overlay. Patchouli, which usually amps on me, is pretty much nowhere that I can smell and I admit to being disappointed. Don't get me wrong - I love the Lab's apple and I will cherish my imp,but I recently got a lotof fruit scents and was hoping for more patch. It's still a lovely scent if you love apples.
  10. Diana Rect

    Honeyed Apple

Tester from Wench457: In the bottle it's honeyed apple to the nth degree. Honeycrisp with extra honey. I seriously want to walk around with the bottle strapped to my nose (weird as that would look). On skin, it takes on a totally different note. It's got an added musky vanilla scent, with just a smidge powder. It's much more complex than the "in the bottle" smell, but just as lovely. I hope to get my hands on a bottle before they all disappear.
  11. Diana Rect

    Whip Bath Oil

Agony and ecstasy: black leather and damp red rose. Oh, this is lovely! A little sweet, but less sweet than Rose Petals and Champs, but not quite as dry as Rose Boughs and Rose Roots. If you are a rose fan, this is one you simply must have. The leather is very much background here, addi g just a hint of je ne sais quois. So happy to have it in my collection.
  12. Diana Rect

    Bright Red Dildo

Wow...crazy. I'm not getting "leather" from this *at all*, I'm getting red musk all the way (my skinistry has a tendency to amp that scent over everything else), with a tail end of honey and spice. I'm really insanely curious to know what this will age into. I'd love it if the leather comes out a bit more, because I suspect that will take this over the top.
  13. Diana Rect

    The Head

This is a very clean Spring scent, which makes me happy because that's totally what I was craving from this update. I'd almost swear there was cucumber in this, but there's no green, just floral deliciousness of the blending of gardenia/jasmine/tuberose. Not really getting any spice or wood, but that's fine. This is probably the break out winner of the decants I ordered (this and Womb Furie).
  14. Diana Rect

    Womb Furie

Color me one of the crazy fans. I'm not a GC SO fan - even aged. I find it deadly dull. *But* as a base for other scents it's fantastic, and this scent is no exception. I had avoided it before because I was afraid it would be overly sweet, but it isn't. The honeys bring rich thickness and the spice, while not overly "spicy" keep it from becoming overwhelming and the vanilla brings a softness to it. I'm thinking I will need a bottle.
  15. Diana Rect

    Sanguinem Menstruum

^^I agree with this entirely, although the "dying bees" is definitely honey, rather than beeswax, to me. The honey sweet that compares to the sugar sweet of Smut. The poppies make it warmer than Smut, at least to my nose. This definitely has major throw, and staying power. The tester I applied this morning is still going strong! I am so happy to have a bottle.
  16. Diana Rect

Little Fairy Tales of History Bath Oil

Honey and nectar indeed! This may have swept right to the top of my favorite scents *ever* from the Post. The honey is not the thick, rich honey I usually get, the overall scent is more subtle than that. But its loved note is definitely there, adding honeyed sweetness to the nectar. The nectar is more of a general floral scent than any particular flower. I know it doesn't *read* like much from my description, but it's thoroughly gorgeous. I want to pour it in a spray bottle and use it as an allover body scent. It's just subtle enough I think I could get away with it, too.
  17. Diana Rect

Dead Leaves, Patchouli, Honey & Warm Musk Hair Gloss

Oh, my. I have decided I love Dead Leaves almost as much as I love fruits, although for a totally different reason. Such an understated and 'clean' scent, and to my nose, in my hair, it takes center stage, with the honey adding sweetness. The patxhouli and musk are very much background, adding depth and interest, but not really distinguishable as themselves. So far the Dead Leaves have been just what I hoped for - fantastic smelling, and not too sweet. I can't stop smelling my hair!
  18. Diana Rect

    Statius’ Phoenix

Decant In the bottle this is mostly sweet - honey sweet, with a bit woodiness. After dry down the frankincense comes more into play, and there is just a hint of fruit, but it's mostly rich honey sweet. Which is just fine with me - I love my honeys. This definitely deserves a place in my honey scent collection.
  19. Diana Rect

    Stardust Nail Polish

So sparkly! This one is a bit thicker than Titan Toadstools, but still easy to apply. Mostly opaque in two coats. I'm tempted to say this is a medium holographic glitter polish? It certainly seems to have some holo flame to it. 20151228_091149 by psukeksc, on Flickr I suspect someone with better nail art skills than mine could do some gorgeous things with this shade.
  20. Diana Rect

Titan Toadstools and Leprous Fire Nail Polish

I love this polish - I knew I would the moment I saw it. It is the Christmas green I have been waiting for. Super shiny, and application was so easy. It also lasted 3 days with no chipping and very little wear away at the tips. A complete win. Thank you so much, Puddin and goblins! This is three days in: 20151224_095441 by psukeksc, on Flickr

    Apple Pie Hair Gloss

This smells almost exactly like fresh mulled cider. The apple is not the frsh apple of, say, Lips of Flame, Heart of Stone, it's more of a baked apple, with spices. It reminds me of my Wassail Atmo, but even more cider-y. I get almost no pastry, but that's fine by me as I prefer my pastry scents in Atmos, rather than wearables. A definitely excellent Winter Holiday scent, and I can see layering it with last year's Gingerbread scents and Fezziwig's Ball with great success!
  22. Diana Rect

    Muddy Puddles

Hot chocolate and marshmallow is exactly what this scent is. I was sort of hoping for some actual muddy puddles to mitigate the chocolate, but I smell none. The cocoa is unfortunately overwhelming to my nose, so I'll be passing this one along.
  23. Diana Rect

Dead Leaves, Black Fig, Cacao & Copal Hair Gloss

Like the first reviewer this was all chocolately fig in the bottle (which made me leer-y, actually), but once on my hair they faded in the background. The dead leaves note took center stage, with just a hint of the other notes adding depth and sweetness. I really like the cleanness of the dead leaves note, so this Weenie series has been a total win for me.
  24. Diana Rect

    Crimson

(decant from forum circle) "feels like something to wear to a bawdy party held in a decaying mansion-part glamor, part sex, all disaster" Nailed it, although what I get from this scent is heavy on the "musk mank", similar to Apteros Eros and original Pulcinella and Theresina, and not smoky sultry incense. The other notes are there in a faint sweet-spicy undertone, but I have to get my nose in close in order to really pick them up. There is something about Crimson that appeals to me in a dark and dangerous sort of way, but it's not something I would actually wear often. I shall treasure my decant though!
  25. Diana Rect

    Black Moths

(decant from forum circle) This is lovely! In the bottle and on the skin I get mostly fruit and rose petal, with a hint of something else in the background. The opoponax, I think, but mostly because I know less about how that smells than the others, and it doesn't smell like the rest of the notes usually do to me. (confused yet?) I'm not getting any patchouli or vetiver, which might usually disappoint me as I love those notes - but the notes I am getting play so well together I like it just as it is!
