Lola

This is a gather of the red fruits with their juiciest flesh meat parts delight. Pimento berry takes a centre stage with an almost lychee-like sharp tang in combination with tartness of red plum skins. Later it morphs into a round, softer fruity-floral that is distinctively carnation. One can hardly detect the earthiness of patchouli, although i suspect it is there that is why the fruits(pomegrante in particular) did not turn sour(or super sweet) on me. During dry down thyme and moss give an over all light-hearted and spring-y aura. I am not sure what foxglove smells like, sadly. Time to take a trip to the Botanical Garden!

    The Lady On The Grey

The Lady On the Grey Wet: Opalescent Amber, Tobacco flower, Wild flowers, Creamy sandalwood Dry: Opque-powdery amber with sweet wild flowers Verdict: Sense of nostalgic. Soft and ethereal with soft creamy and powder amber floral. I swear Bpal's amber and honey always turn extra powdery on me!!(and that's not good ) I think if there's musk here it would soften that a bit but alas, no musks here. I shall give it to my mom, this is her kind of scent!!

    Banana Peel in a Graveyard

Banana Peel in Graveyard Wet: Split seconds of banana flesh. Dirt, Grass, Something dusty, Weeds Dry: Bitter earth and grass and stones. A very faint of banana is lurking underneath. Verdict: This is no way a gourmand or fruity scent at all. Very "mossy" earthy with short lived banana.

    Australian Copperhead (2006)

Wet: Acai berry, amber, hint of neroli Dry: The sugar from snake oil is covered with acai berry and ONLY acai berry..dewy & glistening acai, not sharp anymore.. Verdict: An uplifting delicious fruity red berry goodness...NO powder-ish Snake oil here. Just lovely!!!

    Temple Viper

Wet: Sharp sugary-water with slight dusty opoponax and that familiar almost powder-ish but dark vanilla of snake oil. Dry: HELLO sugar cane with a touch of something floral(champaca?)..I also detect a faint "moth-ball" like vibe beneath all this. Verdict: It's a light blend with lots of sugary goodness..icy crystal clear sugary rush with opque-dusty and powdery slightly floral accent!! PRETTY

    Theodosius, The Legerdemain

Wet: Delicate tea, white musk, soft vanilla bean.. Dry: Ghostly pearly musk, soft vanilla bean turned medicinal. Verdict: Soft, gentle, ghostly, delicate yet feels bit masculine/cologne-y..Qquiet the transformer..it lurks you in then it evaporates right before your eyes. Interesting!!

    Antonino, The Carny Talker

Wet: Strong musk and Vetiver, heady verbena, lavender. Dry: Smooth creamy vetiver, mellowed verbena, figgy-lavender Verdict: Loud and strong, then it mellowed out to a gorgeous verbena figgy-lavender(is that even a word? LOL)...Where did wild plum go? It never showed up...This is one lavender blend that does not scream medicine lavender, I can actually wear it and not have it turn sharp/bitter on me..Quiet stunning!

    Coral Snake (2006)

Wet: Juicy red apple and plumeria Dry: Pretty much the same red apple and plumeria. Although there's blood orange I dont get a deep, red citrusy feeling here..and then..there's a slight creamy feel to the blend maybe it's due to gardenia. I'm not crazy about heady gardenia but the note did not become dominate. It stays in the background. Verdict: Perfect red apple blend with a bit of an twist..it's still very red apples with exotic touches so it prevents from being too fruity or ALL apples. No detectable snake oil...which is cool with me since snake oil does not love me back. N.B. oil as aged over a year and two months when tested..

    Faith

Faith Wet: sugar + water + soft violet Dry: sugared violet Verdict: from wet to dry it stays pretty much the same, it's just that, sugared violet but a very soft feel. NOT heady. Gentle & Pretty vibe.

Invasion of the Flesh-Eating Reindeer from Uranus

INVASION OF THE FLESH-EATING REINDEER FROM URANUS - Wet: Spiced gingerbread, cookie crumbs, wet, laced with booze spongy fruitcake with tinniest hint of canned cherries.. Dry: Drier, dusty-musk appear and wrapped itself over the saucy cookie. Verdict: Delicious, it's a light spiced cookie without any cinnamon-ish overkill..The gingerbread and fruitcake balance each other well. The mood is very festive.

I Fell in Love with a Floating Brain

I FELL IN LOVE WITH A FLOATING BRAIN Wet: Moist, soft cake with ripe strawberry. Tiny bits of carnation. Somewhat sharp. Dry: Pink cake, sweet strawberry amp up along with some white grapefruit...there's a bit of an "jolt" of carnation from time to time...when I sniff it really close it's there, when I pull my nose few inches away then it's all pink strawberry cake with grapefruit. Less heady, getting smooth and creamy. Verdict: Sweet, girlie, bubbly with soft creamy appeal. Very glad the cake and cream stand out more so than the citrus. Swoon!

    Hanerot Halalu

Wet: Soft beeswax and something creamy... Dry: Powdery-creamy hint of smoke. It's not the incense smoke here. I guess the soft sweet powedry scent is the smoke. If olive oil is prsent it is really faint...barely there and NO it does not smell like salad oil nor the fruit itself. Verdict: Smooth, Sweet, Gentle like baby's skin...almost of that milky skin scent except I can detect the tinest "honey" note from the beeswax. Utterly quiet(not a loud scent) but beauitful. Bottleworthy!

    Queen Alice

Wet: Cider/Wine with heady carnation Dry: Not so "grainy" cider but carnation is still going strong. Verdict: LOVE the "murky" ruby wine with a gorgeous, heady, but NOT sharp(isnt that oxymoron?) Carnation. It's so darn pretty with a mischievous kick. Very tickle my fancy!! ;D

    Florence

Wet: Glistening red berries...(currants?), Light amber, Soft iris. Smells hopeful. Dry: Sultry amber(but not powdery), light dusting of spices, hused red berries, almost a creamy feel of iris burying under all of these notes. Intoxicating!! Verdict: A sense of refined sophistication. Well balance of resin, floral, and fruits..nothing takes over one another. I feel calm with the scent and I'm associating Florence with the book, "Birth of Venus"..the young woman in the novel paints(which is rare for women to do that and good at during the Italian Renaissance), She is educated(reads Latin & Greek..again women were supposed to be just cute and not educated during that time.lol). Over all this blend gives that dignified aura with a touch of rebellious quality. Wonderful! My favourite blend in the entire Wanderlust! ;D

    The Caterpillar

Wet: Blooming jasmine, hint of soft carnation, and incense. Dry: Jasmine has mellowed out and allowed carnations, vetiver, iris, and incense to come out and play. Verdict: Lovely dry down. It's a soft powdery-ish incense, but not soapy powder or honey powder scent that I dont like. The florals and vetiver with soft incense really transformed to something dreamy and soft an hour later upon application.... No doubt the caterpillar has turned into a beautiful butterfly. GREAT comfy and pretty scent.

    Prunella

Wet: Greenish-leafy plums, hint of wild flowers, shimmery opque cream like undertone with the plums and flowers. Dry: Less leafy green but a ripe, bold, glistening dewy plums. The wildflowers are less scattered now..more refined and they are tie together by the ever so sultry shimmering light vanilla-like milky scent. But it isnt milk scent per se. Verdict: plum lovers rejoyce!!! Got that sugar-plum vibe without any spicies in the blend. It started out fresh-fruity then fresh-creamy..then it matured into the most mouth watering violet plums that beg to be bitten!! Beautiful, even more so than MIdwinter's Eve! And it's a GC, how wonderul!

    Pumpkin Queen

Wet: Soft Amber, cardamon, orange peel and ripe pumpkin flesh! Dry: Warm pumpkins, soft whisper of ginger(good, dont like Ka-Pow ginger) with hints of amber and warm spices. Verdict: Sultry and warm pumpkin that actually smells like pumpkin & spices and nothing else. Reminds me of laying on piles of pumpkins around the hays inhaling cool crips air. So comforting!!! I will treasure my imp!

    Thanatos

Wet: Heady benzoin, myrrh, sandalwood, hint of bulging juicy rose. Dry: very lush and creamy benzoin over the rose. At this point of the rose is very faint..just enough that you know there's rose beneath it, but not enough to take over the blend(no dusty nor lemony rose here so fear not). The tomb moss and powdery-ish incense make the blend smell REALLY exotic and beautiful..... Verdict: Smells like a bottle of very expensive perfume. Tad powdery but not over the top. Creamy and lush, I feel this scent belongs to a lady going to see the Opera!

    Monster Bait: Ventriloquist Dummy

Wet: Gawwww almost offensive/dusty cig like dry woods AND patchouli. No apricot whatsoever. A faint brown sguar and hazelnut. Dry: Much better!! No more dusty cig like woods. It has mellowed out... so has the patchouli..I can smell the roasting caramel and brown sugar much much better 40 mins after. Still no apricot..maybe it's apricot PITS in the blend!!! Verdict: in theory with these foody notes, it should smell foody on me..but NO, not foody at all..in fact, it started out very dark, bitter, and rather offensive for about 5 mintues and when the DRY wood and patchouli hide in the corner and allowed the sugar and caramel to come out, it's really, really gorgeous... even SEXY! but very subtle, not the siren sexpot sexy..A very down-to-earth type of sexy. I think without the caramel, hazelnut, and brown sugar, i'm sure I would HATE the patch & wood combo! lol Such an unique blend and concept from the lab! LOVE!

    Beaver Moon 2007

Wet: Strawberry-ish vanilla creamiscle. Funny i dont get much cherry here. It's very subdue and not at all mediciney!(yay) Dry: Got warmer and lighter. The vanilla here fades a bit but something "creamy" still lurks around. At this point I dont smell the cherries anymore but still can with strawberry!(more yays..i love strawberry notes). Verdict: I'm glad I didnt get the "cheese cake" vibe. The strawberry-ish vanilla cream smells more like the frosting on a cupcake...It's also got that wet berry candy(lollipop) vibe in the blend. Its sweet and candy- like quality makes Beavor moon really girlie!

    Libra 2007

I'm not a Libra but i couldnt resist the yummy notes. Rose, black cherry, blackcurrant, figs, carnation, honey and plum??? OMG i'm so there....BUT...BUT.... Wet: SWEET roses and carnation with hint of almondy- cherry scent. Too floral and not the kind of florals I gravates to. I like my roses dark and juicy. I dont get this vibe here. Dry: ACK, libra doesnt love me back. I still get no black currant, honey, plum, nor the fig. JUSt amped up soapy/old lady MUSKY rose....I'm having sore throat today and smelling libra doesnt help. Someone give me a mint! Verdict: It got too sweet and TOO rosey(plastic fake rose scent) and too much carnations...THAT's all i got...No honey, no black cherry, and no plum, and lastly where's the fig?! I have better luck with Knife of the Hearts(roses and blackcurrant tarts which smelled sooo pretty and none of that musky/soapy roses i hate). :-(

    Pumpkin I (2007)

I almost never read the descriptions when I try a scent out and when half way dried i wondered what smelled SOOOOOO pretty? It was Pumpkin 1 Wet: Baked Pumpkin pie with a glass of red wine! LOVE Dry: Pumpkin sorta smooth out a little and i dont really smell any jasmine..good, i dont really care for jasmine. The sweetness of the pear and grapes started to creep out more...the more the merrier...I think the grapes & wine during dried down is what made my wrists(and area around me) smelled so DARN pretty!! Verdict: It's very fall-ish decadant scent with a touch of fruitness. Cant give enough encomium for PUmpkin 1

    Cupid Complaining to Venus

This smells so much like Les Bijoux!! Now that I have both on I can tell they arent really alike, but they give out the same appl-y vibes. Could be a "sister" blend. I love that I can smell mostly red/golden apples here and not the typical tart, green apples(more with les bijoux, and funny before I got an imp of CCTV, i always though les bijoux's apples are the reddest apples i've ever smelled!!). Even better, I dont really pick up the peach, honey, or fig...Although i do love peaches, honey and figs. Give me honey-glazed red apples anytime and I am a happy camper. If you like les Bijoux, you would love Cupid Complaining to Venus..and vice versa.

    Robin Goodfellow

If I hadnt gotten this as a frimp I would have never tried Robin Goodfellow!!! MOss and woods and sage arent exactly the top notes I typically go for...anyway: Wet: On the broaderline of being musculine, but not quiet..something "sweet" is lurking in the background and is preventing this from smelling like a men's cologne. When I get an imp I try it on first before I read the notes/descriptions...and I thought this blend was more of the unisex/male scent from the lab. LOL Dried: It has turn into a soft, pale, yet strangly bit perfumed like dusty moss and heather with touch of woods. I love this dry down. It's sweet but NOT foody sweet. It's got that "earthy-vibe" without being too dirty or smokey Verdict: The imp will not last! This is on my 5ml list now. HOnestly I think both ME and Hubby can wear this blend! So unisex without screaming either TOO musculine or too feminine.

    Xanthe, The Weeping Clown

Wet: Light cool-ish citrus with plae, sugar-like florals dancing around. Like a piece of fruity chewing gum! Dry: Florals die down a bit and the cotton candy like spun sugar amps up..still a light/pale scent but gimme spun sugar anytime! Verdict: I LOVE IT. It's pale(airy quality) & it smells gorgeous. The dried down reminds me of the ever so popular pencil box frgrant decoration seeds I used to use as a kid! The frosty transluscent fragrant "peas" and fragrant pens were POPULAR in Asia(if you grew up there you know what i'm talking about!!! "Shung shung dao"! Wow, i took a walk down memory lane with Xanthe! Reminds me of my innocent, lazy childhood summer days! eta: i cannot spell!
