    Dirty

IN THE BOTTLE: Light and slightly floral. It definitely smells like fabric softener and crisp white bed sheets. WET: I kind of get a freesia thing going... but on the whole it just smells like fabric softener and dryer sheets. I'm brought back to laundry day at my college dorm, when you'd have an entire clothes hamper full of laundry to wash so you'd bring down your homework and spend the whole day surrounded by washers and dryers. DRY: It dries almost febreezy on me. The crisp smell of fabric has left the building, and all that is left is smelling like a laundrimat. This is not the scent for me... - - - - This was another freebie that I got with my order and thank gods for that. I love the smell of fresh laundry and clean sheets, but this gets way too febreezy on me. I want to smell clean, not like I was too lazy to take a real shower so I sprayed fabric softener on myself (aka the poor girl's version of AXE). I'm sure it smells great on others, but for me it's a dud.

    Aeval

A raven-haired Fairy Queen of Ireland. One of her eternal duties dictates that she must hold a midnight court every season and hear the pleas of married Irishwomen. The court serves only to determine whether or not husbands are adequately serving their wife's sexual needs. A judicious yet powerfully sensual blend, a mingling of justice and sexuality: sage, sweet pea, bold pale musk and warm tonka. IN THE BOTTLE: The sweet pea is definitely there, but the sage darkens it and makes it a bit grassier. WET: It's very flowery and sweet and almost smells more like bluebell than sweet pea. There is a slightly astringent note at the end. DRY: I don't think this one likes me very much. It smells slightly wet... kind of like wet dog? Wet deer maybe? You get the image of a flowery field just after a spring shower, when all the animals are coming out to dry off and grab breakfast. It's ever so slightly cloying, and a bit decayish. - - - - I got this as a bonus imp with my order, so I'm not too bummed that it's not working for me. It's lovely, and in the bottle it smells sweet and innocent but with a sinister foreboding, but my chemistry turns it from "abduction of Persephone" to "wet woodland creatures"

    Hunger

IN THE BOTTLE: This one is pleasant and warm. I get the orange very much, but more fruit than blossoms. It almost smells like an orange that has been left in the sun all day. There's also a deeper scent to it... at first I thought maybe a light amber, but I must be smelling the narcissus. WET: It's still mostly citrusy and slightly biting. The vanilla and narcissus merge to almost a coconut on me, and the whole thing evokes white sand beaches at sunset and knocking back tequila sunrises. DRY: The citrus lightens as it dries and the whole thing smells almost velvety on the skin. For some reason I still get tanning oil and a bit of salt, like I've been sitting under a beach umbrella being fanned by a hunky dude in skimpy briefs. There's a slight baby powder smell after a while, but it isn't at all unpleasant. Overall a very sultry, sexy scent.

IN THE BOTTLE: Very grapefruit! The white tea is present, and I get the ginger as well. WET: Oh there's the tea. The white tea is very prominent, with notes of grapefruit and something grassy (I'm guessing that's the apple reacting with my skin). On the whole, it evokes freshly trampled heather and windswept moors. DRY: It dries to an almost green tea smell. It's very light and crisp, but authoritative. On me, it almost hits that laundry detergent or dish soap consistency, but it mellows out to a crisp grassy scent. - - - - - I think I prefer the scent in the bottle rather than on me. This might just be a scent locket imp.

IN THE BOTTLE: Cedar, evergreen, and something dusty, like those cedar plank hangars that you would hang grandpa's suit on so the moths don't get it. It is so masculine; I just love it. WET: I'm not sure what my skin is doing, but the whole thing smells very piney on me, like I'm in the middle of a forest. As it starts to dry, it mellows and that dusty note picks back up. DRY: This smells like an old cedar chest that got left in someone's attic and hasn't been opened in ages. It's dusty and ancient and creaky in all the best ways! - - - - - - - I'm not sure I could handle smelling like this the whole day, but it sure would make a great room scent!

    Bayou

IN THE BOTTLE: Oh this is intriguing. It's got a murky quality... I get water lilies and something swampy. The whole thing smells very wet, with the florals nice and warmed. It makes you feel like a crocodile. WET: Wow, this is really bright on me! The watery notes are still there, with just a hint of lime for some reason. The florals have a pleasant wilting quality, like the flowers are just starting to die. I wouldn't think that wilting flowers would smell great, but I can't stop sniffing my arm. DRY: It's mostly just the flowers. The wet note has gone, and the cypress starts to peek out. I keep getting the imagery of tree blossoms floating on a pond, and this makes me feel like a kelpie. A very sexy scent on me.

    New Orleans

Reminiscent of hothouse blooms on a humid night, ripe, but touched with decay. Sweet honeysuckle and jasmine with a hint of lemon and spice. IN THE BOTTLE: Flowers and something green. I get quite a bit of the jasmine, with the honeysuckle twined underneath it. WET: Hello jasmine! The whole thing is very wet, almost humid smelling, like the city in the middle of august. DRY: This one is a bit heavy on me, but pleasantly so. It is sluggish and rich, but the humid factor leaves once it dries. The whole thing is very much a night time scent; I feel like I should be sitting on a bench by the Mississippi, smelling the warm night air and watching the lights flicker on the water. - - - - - - This is definitely a keeper! I love the jasmine+honeysuckle combo, and the whole thing is relaxing and almost sluggish. It just makes you want to sit on a porch swing with a glass of wine and throw bedroom eyes at your swing buddy.

    Tombstone

IN THE BOTTLE: Very sassafras and vanilla. It almost smells like a rootbeer float with a bite. There is a sharp alcoholic undercurrent, like the vanilla extract you cook with. WET: The same rootbeer float smell, but the wood definitely picks up and surpasses it. It almost smells like the inside of a dried whiskey barrel. Cedary and saloony. DRY: The whole thing mellows out very nicely. The cedar and balsam come out wonderfully on my skin, and I described it to a friend as "an old wodden barstool with just a touch of perfume from the hooker who was just perched on it." The vanilla lingers on as the wood mellows, and the whole thing is slightly masculine with a touch of sexy lady. I feel like a madam in the wild west who runs her brothel with a smile and a shotgun. - - - - - - This was actually the reason I bought my first set of imps. Cedar and vanilla are my two favorite smells, so I was super excited to find something that merged them. Couple with the sweet bite of old-timey sassafrass and that can-can gal vibe, and I'm sold. I can't wait to try it on my best dude friend (thank god there's a benefits package with that one, because I have a feeling this is gonna be my own personal catnip)
