  1. Ive posted here once before, but my tastes have grown and I have tried so many new things! Hope that its okay to post here again.

    Top 5 as of now:

    1. Black Moths
    2. Tombeur

    3. The Black Rider

    4. Western Diamondback

    5. Wulfric/Mme Moriarty.

I couldnt decide on the last one, its a solid tie. I really like leather, patchouli, red musk, amber, and spices in my perfume. Not a fan of clean, floral scents and aquatic turns to sour milk or plastic on my skin. GC or LE, I like em all.

  2. God this is lovely. This is the warm musky smell of a well worn leather jacket. This jacket belongs to Steve Rogers. This is what Captain America smells like out of uniform. Its got an old-timey old fashioned man musk that I think is the tobacco and leather at play. Theres also a dusky sweetness from the amber and the opoponax is adding a mellow quality. I cannot keep from huffing my arm. Id love this on a man, but I also like this on me. This is a scent for rainy nights and candlelight. Comfort and sensuality on any person, with a hint of masculinity and strength.
    Clearly I need a bottle.

  3. I have a lot of scents in common with you, Scarlet Woodland.

    I suggest

    1. The Bow and Crown of Conquest: Nobility and haughtiness befitting the Antichrist: sage, carnation and cedar with lavender, vanilla, white musk and leather.

    2. Dracul: Black musk, tobacco, fir, balsam of peru, cumin, bitter clove, crushed mint, and orange blossom.

3.The Lion: The dry, glorious warmth of the Savannah. A golden, spiced amber, proud, regal and ferocious.

    4. Eve: (This scent is discontinued but sounds exactly like what you are looking for) The spirit of temptation, the essence of lost innocence. Apple blossom, rose, ylang ylang and golden honey.

  4. My partner is a Leo and I was struck by the notes i this blend and knew I had to try it. On the skin Leo is a spicy floral smell at first. I can detect the carnation, amber and saffron and they blend together in a lovely cloud. At dry down, the chamomile comes more forward with its slightly more herbal smell.. which for me is disappointing, as I wanted this to solidly be in the golden ambery resinous sort of scent profile. It dries down to a warm spicy carnation with hints of resins and amber overlay and I am fairly pleased with that.

  5. Strands of ectoplasm floating through the shadowed air: black plum, inky vetiver, cashmere patchouli, dark oudh, and spectral musk.

This is a lovely, slinky perfume. Its less heady than my beloved Black Moths. The patch is defintely softer, smoother here. The vetiver follows its lead and the plum is a smoky dark sweetness. I love it and Im delighted I got the bottle.

  6. I got a tiny amount of the old version of this from an ebay purchase lot a while back and instantly loved it. So of course, I had to have the newest version and its still love. This Mme is a little fruitier, more full bodied. She still has the sexy sinister vibe of red musk, and the sweetness of the vanilla. I love it, but like many of the Carnival scents this go around, the throw isnt very far and my skin soaks it up like a sponge. Maybe if it ages a few months itll last a little longer. Super pleased with it overall.

  7. Oh man. Oh my friends this scent is so good. Testing the other, I kept getting a whiff of what I swear was smoke. It was warm and lush and felt naughty. Sifting through the many tiny spots of new smellies on my arm I immediately found Tombeur and started huffing it. I cant keep my nose away from my own flesh. Its this red musk party with vanilla, incense, patch and vetiver as distinguished guests. Im gonna have to limit myself from just dumping the bottle all over my head.

  8. So I took a gander at the threads here to make sure I was starting a duplicate topic and came up empty. Mods, I apologize if I goofed.

Its the time of year for me where the gardenias have started blooming and I love it. I'd also love to smell like gardenia, and I am having trouble finding a bpal blend that satisfies. Any thoughts?

  9. First 13 purchase ever! And I am so glad I did. This oil is dark chocolate in the bottle, almost a single note. Wearing, the amber and the myrrh come forward to a dark resinous blend. It smells like a bar of dark chocolate left in the back of an incense store. I love it.

  10. First time trying Wulfric.
The lavender is sharp and almost astringent, but it plays nicely with the cocoa and the vetiver. AS it dries the clary sage makes its way to the forefront and Im left with a warm cocoa-lavender-musk scent that evokes feelings of warm blankets on rainy days. Love it!

  11. 2016 version

In the decant all I can smell is the cocoa note. On, the cocoa and the rice milk start out very strong and then calm down as the snake oil comes out to play.
Definte bottle purchase but I already knew that

Editted to add: Although I do wish it would last longer on me, this is gone within a few minutes. Aging, perhaps will help that.

  12. Heya, Joyleaf. My boyfriend is a double Aries like you.

    I just want to add:

The Apothecary for your gardening: Tea leaf with three mosses, green grass, a medley of herbal notes, and a drop of ginger and fig.

Fighter for your knives, and because you like Iago, so leather: Leather, musk, blood, and steel.

    Cheers.

I had an imp of Fighter that I specifically purchased for a friend, and now Im wishing I had gotten one for myself as well. Ill add it to my next order! Thanks!

  13. The first thing I catch is patchouli, but that sweetens and softens with the blackcurrant and tonka. As it dries the rose comes out a little more strongly and im left with a scent that smell of deep purple, soft and sexy. Theres an edge there too which is the vetiver and patchouli. I love this, and will need to get another bottle

  14. On me this scent is a very sweet foody vanilla with almost a cocoa scent attached. However this was the scent that got my friend into bpal and on her, it deepens and becomes more resinous almost. The honey really smells thick and resinous. Makes me a bit jealous the way it smells on her, but now I understand why its so popular.

  15. I get a mix of cinnamon, civet and some sort of red musk/sandalwood from this scent.
Wet my skin amps the civet and it is wild and animalistic, but as the oil dries it softens and smells like a barely domesticated wild animal. Warm and comforting theres a hint of leather. I definitely love my bottle of this, and find that it has ample throw.

  16. Another favorite of mine that I have forgotten to review. Something about my skin loves black musk. On me this scent dries down to a dark incense wafting though a deep forrest. Utterly sexy, like an evil lumberjack as silly as that sounds.
I need to find all of the black musk scents apparently.

  17. I cant believe I havent reviewed this!
Iago is one of my favorite scents ever.
On my skin the leather and musk dominate, it smells like a bad boy wearing a leather jacket who has just come inside from the rain. I get bare hints of vetiver, and as it dries down the the scent warms ever so slightly. I wear this when I want to feel powerful and sexy. I do find that it has more of a manly scent, but I tend to go for the more masculine scents.
I tend to reach for this one more often than not
