Definitely not a good scent for me! This comes of really sharp and green with a strong soapy rose not. Nothing about this scent works on me. Off to someone who can appreciate it!

I oddly get white mint out of this...like the one in Utrennyaya. Strong at first but fades. Lovely group of white flowers. Somewhat sad, definitely ethereal, and so beautiful. However, I find it rather similar to Utrennyaya which I already wear a bunch so I'll hold off on a bottle for now.

I love this scent! I bought a bottle of it off the forum within 24 hours of testing it. On the other hand I have the worst time describing it... It's soft without being really floral, creamy without cream, and mature without being in-your-face. What I believe is ho wood dominates along with the rice wine... Just so beautiful and unique! Simply has to be tried to be understood.

I should have known better. White sandalwood is definitely the strongest note in here. It's pretty but not something I'd wear. This scent has a very tired meloncholy feel but a beautiful one none the less. I think it refelects the painting very well.

At first this was a strong grapefruit but it's quickly tempered by musk (I know it's not labeled as a note but that's what it feels like) and something sweet. Turns into a hazy, playful citrus. Fantastic!!

I can't figure out how to describe this at all!! There's a nice fresh green note that I really like but it's not the front note and the rest just leaves me baffled. There's something sweet in there and soemthing that's starting to give it a chemical pledge edge. I'm not sure what I was expecting but this was not it.

This starts off like a ripe freshly bitten into apple...but then the poison starts to soak in. Opium starts to take over and there's a definite herbal note in there as well. Evil yet enticing apple!! Nice but I love The Hesperides and I really don't need multiple apple scents.

Sweet pea...pure and simple. Can't get even a whiff of the other notes. I like sweet pea but I find it comes off really young and doesn't suit me.
-
Yellow and bright! Unfortunately there's also a soapy/dryer sheet smell that lasts for a good half hour after initially applying. Then it's back to being a very bright yet soft floral.

This turns into a very dainty and pretty rose on me. I know rose and primrose are not the same thing but...well, that's what I smell!! But light roses are really my mother's scent not mine. Perhaps I shall surprise her with an imp!

The description seems to be more fitting of Brimstone (which I just tried so it's in my mind) rather than djinn. It doesn't smell like burning anything on me. I admit it has a slight smoky edge which gives it an interesting base but it's mostly some musk and...something citrusy sweet?

Smells like charred wood. I'm amazed at how Beth could come up with let alone actually create this scent! However, I don't particularly want to smell like burned out wood.

Looking for BPAL that resembles a Body Shop scent

I second this one! It's actually what I thought of when I tried Verchenyaya. I thought is smelled like my friend Sophie who (surprise, surprise) wears White Musk. -
Sexy, Smutty, Seductive, Provocative... It's All in Here

Tried Hymn to Proserpine yesterday and it's dead sexy...and the boy thought so too. Darkening amber? Oooh baby! -
In long-ago Arabia, harem girls rubbed an herbal poultice formed from a blend of sensual, luxuriant herbs and oils onto their bodies to prepare themselves for the Sultan’s pleasure. This lush, indulgent perfume is based on that ancient formula. Sweet almond and Mysor sandalwood enveloped by a heady veil of Bulgarian Rose, neroli, nutmeg, clove and orange peel. Wow, look at the variety of responses on this one!! Alas, rose does what it almost always does...takes over!! Straight up single note Bulgarian rose on me.

Frimp from the lab!! Definitely wasn't something I would have thought to buy myself but it's intriguing. It comes off as rather sweet on me...sweet minty woods. Rather nice for a woods scent but I don't actually enjoy wearing scents with wood notes. Would be something beautiful adn different though for someone who did enjoy the wood oils!

I, for one, do not get any fruit. I get a musk amber that somehow has a very dark and sensual feeling. Very mature. I think this is a beautiful, sexy scent but one I can't wear often. Keeping the imp. (I adore amber, just bought a bottle of Brisingamen yesterday, but this has something added that I can't place..."darkening" indeed!)

This is mostly fake apple on me...more like apple candy flavoring then the genuine thing. Looks like Hesperides is still my big apple frontrunner. After a couple of hours the white musk and hyacinth take over which is lovely but...only at the end so I guess this goes into the swap pile!

At first this scent was fabulous and I almost ordered a 5ml right away...goof thing I waited! At first, this came off as a rich blood orange scent. I don't know how it came off like that but it was so beautiful. Refreshing but rich. Anyhoo, after a rather short period of time it all faded into pure plum, and the lab's plum just smells like potpourri on me!

I don't really catch ay herbs..but that's fine by me! At first this was all linden blossoms which was nice but a bit too much like laundry for me, but then the white flowers started to come out and make this beautiful and wearable! It is a little too young and innocent for me to wear very often but the scent is so pretty that I'm going to save the imp for special occasions...plus it seems like such a perfect summer scent.

I tried this without looking at the notes and what did I write down? Strawberry and patchouli. But there's no patchouli...I can only think that it must be the red musk acting out. Alas I'm not a fan of patchouli-like notes. I also wish I could smell the grapefruit because it's a scent I really enjoy. Not for me but so many seem to love it so I'll pass it on to someone who can appreciate it!

I like dragon's blood. I like musk. I apparently don't them combined. Musky, sweet incense. I'm just not an incense person...simply ccan't pull it off. And it contrasts so much with the sweetness of the dragon's blood that it's actually starting to give me a headache. Oops! Much more for an incense person who likes to experiment.

Oh jasmine, how you refuse to ever work with me. At first this had a lovely lime refreshing element but jasmine, as always took over and drowned out everything else. I like jasmine but single note is not for me!
-
Mostly cranberry which I love but...there's also a fairly strong backnote of incense/wood which I do not love. Alas, more to swap!
-
This comes off...very manly on me. And musky? The grassy note is fairly strong in the beginning but fades into the background. But mostly I just can't find a way to describe this!!
