How surprising! I tried this mostly because I couldn't fathom what this was actually going to smell like. And so far, it's my favorite Grindhouse scent! The Lily has the farthest throw and yet it doesn't dominate the scent. There definitely a beeswax base - warm, slightly nutty, and as others have said, maybe slightly buttery. It's floral without being overwhelmingly so. It feels complex, with many levels. It smells slightly different depending on how close my nose is to my wrist, and yet I always like it! May have to order a bottle of this soon!

Straight off the bat this smells like caramel - a mix of Gluttony and Red Lantern. A few m inutes later the cream accord starts to seep out (mmm!) and then a few minutes later WHAM the apple blossom makes it's presence known. The remainder of the time it's a mix of caramel and apple. Heavy yet refreshing, sinful yet crisp!

Bottle!! I only got a sniffie, just enough to get a bit of oil on my skin, and man do I wish I'd gone ahead and bought the whole bottle! I don't get much rot from it but there is a bit of dampness which I like. It's a light linen scent - with that dash of moisture. It's ethereal yet comforting and actually rather hard to describe. I'm just so happy I got to try it and find out how much I love it! I don't have any scents like this so I'm going to have to stock up!

I don't know what went wrong with this scent but my skin hated it. It ate all the fruit and all I could smell was rubber and wood. So weird. I really wanted some fruity goodness!

Lovely rose!! In the beginning I catch a hint of sage but it disappears pretty quickly on me. Instead a soft, spring rose takes over. Pink rose with a hint of freshly cut stem. I'm not a huge rose fan but this is very pretty - on the other hand my mother adores rose scents. I sense a birthday present in her future!

Sexy scent alert! This is predominantly red musk and patchouli on me but there's a hint of something more "feminine" in the back. Now I'm not a big incense girl but of all the strong "incense" blends I've tried, this is the one I would get. It's like a girl dressed up in all the latest fashions in the upper circle but one glance at her and you know she'd love to rip off that constricting clothing and dance in the rain naked.

Wow, I thought I was going to hate this...yay for lab frimps! The sweet side is definitely unexpected. I love Heather but this feels a bit different. It's a green scent without being woodsy. There's sage and...moss? There's something just a bit damp in here. Mischievous and just a bit sexy like Mr. Goodfellow himself!

Dusty dragon's blood...after a while the woods start to show up as well. It was great to finally be able to try this but it's nowhere near as good as Dragon's Reverie which I adore!

This actually isn't terribly foodie on me. I get a hint of the maple syrup that people mention but on me it's mostly beeswax and olive oil with a generous helping of amber. Sadly not very fruity. It's a rather unconventional scent but I'm really liking it. Will definitely use my decant and may even have to buy a bottle! In a way is smells like a lightly scented beeswax candle...if they came in amber and olive oil.

Well this morphs a lot but for the most part it's a sweet incense with a strong wood background. It's rather hard for me to decide how much I like it...don't know what Diwali normally smells like but I'd love to smell something like this, just perhaps not on me.

This reminds me a lot of Dana O'Shee which I adore only you need to add a dash of coconut and a fairly strong floral element. I actually think I like Dana O'Shee better (yay for GC!) but will use this happily when I want something just a bit different.

Beth, you are my goddess. Thanks to my switch witch, I got a whole bottle of the 2007 version. Warm, fresh, gingerbread!!! I could snuggle up in it all winter...and I may just do that!

I got this as a frimp with my Vampire Tears... Cherry chocolate patchouli, in that order. The cherry mellows a little over time. Sadly not me, and I had already placed an order for a bottle. I guess there's more for sales/swaps.

There's definitely a grapefruit coating to this but for some reason I get a lot of...sweet pea?! I think it's the tonka mixing with something. Sadly this made me feel ill...I have no idea what I'm reacting to. Swaps. I can see this working well on someone else though. It's refreshing but full-bodied (usually grapefruit scents seem watery to me).

First of all I have to say that I am in love with Pumpkin Quuen - one of my all time favorites, top 3. This smells just like Pumpkin Queen on me...but with lemon. Of all the notes to stand out on me, this was the worst option. I don't enjoy smelling like lemon and this is very strong on me. Alas.

This actually isn't as light on me as everyone else. Medium throw. On me this is O plus pear. Unfortunately O didn't work on me, something in it turns and it ends up smelling like stale barbie head (if you've ever smelled the head of a barbie, it's a distinctive smell!). So this is pear stale barbie head. Alas not for me...hoepfully there will be a winter pear scent coming out because I really LOVE pear and this one just doesn't work. I do love the pear it in it though

Sadly the scent I was looking forward to the most and it doesns't quite work on me. It smells like woodsy men's cologne. This would work really well on some people but I'm saldy not one of them. Swap pile!

Right of the bat this was a strong and sharp cedar/cypress scent. But after a few moments the ozone started to infiltrate leading this into a soft, waterey (but suprisingly not very ozoney) floral/herb. Very unique!

Ooooh! So different for what I normally go for but I'm a fan. This reminds me of a GC scent I tried a long time ago...I think it was coyote, but for osem reason that one didn't quite mesh with me. This is slightly sweet yet very dry. Yes some dry grass...definitely a desert scent. But more the edge of the desert where there's still some life flicking about. Very evocative and grand! I actually think this would be fun to wear in the winter.

I think my nose is on crack. I get pralines (yes, the nut) and a dry powdery chocolate. Not was I was expecting and yet I still want to eat myself.

This smells like a pumpkin soaked in Red Lantern. Tobacco definitely dominating on my skin, and yet there are other notes from Red Lantern that I smell in this Or perhaps my brain just thinks there is because I'm so used to linkjing tobacco to Red Lantern. But someone earlier mentioned a touch of caramel....and that was in red lantern. A deep, almost scandalous fall scent.

Eh, this isn't quite meshing on me. It comes off as spicy grape...no sign of the beloved pear I wanted. Grape always reminds me of medicine and there's not enough to temper it in this. I'm sure other chemistry would bring out the better notes.

Mmm! I agree that this is a nice alternative to Pumpkin Queen (one of my favorite scents). Much more pumpkin than cheesecake, with great spices...and a wafting sugar note. Can't wait for fall to kick in so I can wear this!! It's a great uplifting falls scent.

Wow, holy cow cedar!! I got this as a frimp and put it on before looking at the description or reviews. I got a whole lot of cedar but after a few moments there was also a dry musty smell which does indeed remind me of old books in a library. Cedar and books - one I like the other I do not. Into the swaps it goes!

Rich slightly wet dirt...really the only bit that reminds me of fungi, I don't really smell the fungi but the dirt evokes it nicely. There's also an odd floral note on top which I wasn't expecting - white and a little bit green. Intriguing but I'm not a dirt note wearer. So happy to have had the frimp though!
