    Hungry Ghost Moon 2006

I haven't loved a Lunacy like Hungry Ghost Moon since Snow Moon. Strangely enough they're wildly different. HGM is such a beautiful scent. The grapefruit and ginger really stand out. But it's a very sweet grapefruit, not tart at all. It is sweet but it doesn't get too candy-ish with me. Thank goodness. I really like it, and I'm glad I bought two bottles.

    Chaos Theory III: Strange Attractors

I'm kinda sad that I didn't like both of these, but I just wanted to review them before I put them up for swaps. CDXLVII(447)- I can't really tell what smells like when I first put it on, but after it settles it reminds me strongly of Glasgow. And I really didn't like Glasgow, heh. CCCLXXII(372)- In the bottle smells like a sweet amber/floral, but when I put it on it kinda turns bland on my skin. Bad skin chemistry, Bad. Oh well, I enjoyed playing anyways. ^.^

    Eat Me

I really wanted to love Eat Me, but it was not to be so. It started out a really yummy cake which only lasted a few seconds on my skin before fading into the currants of -doom-. I really did think I was going to like them, but instead of a fresh berry smell, it turned into some sweet vaguely berryish scent with a heavy chemical background. I had to wash it off. I was hoping for something much like Monsterbait: Closet... but eh..not so much in my experience.

    Beaver Moon 2005

Beautiful. I got this as a frimp in a swap and this is just heaven. Wet on my skin it smells like pure chocolate cupcakes and stays like that for a while.. I swear though I smelt something nutty there for a few minutes though. After about awhile the cheesecake comes through.. I think, lol. I don't eat cheese cake because I hate cheese in all its forms... so I've never allowed myself to be close enough to one to smell it. But, it does smell different.. the cupcake has more of a tang to it. Final thoughts: Sugary chocolate cupcake.

    Sudha Segara

I got this as a frimp in a swap. This started out as pure lemon tea. After it dried it still retained it's citrus edge but gained a powdery milk note. It never got spicy on me.. just ..lemony. There's also a soap like note in there as well. Not to taste at all unfortunately. Final thoughts: Milky tea with lemon.

    Hetairae

I'm going to have to agree with the previous poster on this scent. Playdoh, but on me its a very sweet, sweet, cloying playdoh. After noting the similarities between this and Honey Moon, I think this is just going to be how Bpals' Honey notes are going to work with me. I didn't get any patchouli or clove at all. Final thoughts: An overwhelmingly sweet mix of honey and ylang ylang.

    Depraved

Well, before I saw the description of this, I thought it was some sort of wood and sweet berry mix. After I read it, however, I had one of those headdesk moments of DUH. Cause Depraved does smell like patchouli and apricot. There is a woody note that comes through though. Hmm. I like it a general sort of way, but I wouldn't wear it everyday. Buy it if patchouli works for you, because you'll love it. But I have a hard time with it... rarely do I find an oil where patchouli doesn't turn to mold on me. Final thoughts: Slightly sweetened forest dirt.

    Delirium

Oh god, my skin killed this scent. It started out a sharp lemon, which was alright I suppose. But then, not even 5 seconds on, it morphed into Moon Rose which smells like pure soap on me. I didn't get any apple at all. Gah, I'm sorry I had to wash it off cause it just did not work for me at all.

    Honey Moon

Honey Moon is pretty weird on me. It starts out with a strong sweet lovely Honey and then the Jasmine comes out, which every one else has mentioned. I actually kinda like jasmine though. I really don't mind it as long as the jasmine is tempered with something else. I also smell something spicy right as it's drying, which must be the ginger. After it's completely dry it's another story entirely. The jasmine has disappeared completely and the only whiff of Honey I get is when I'm sniffing about 2 inches away from my skin, any closer and I get over-whelmed by the gardenia, which has become horrible chalky sweet floral. I don't know if this is just a different gardenia than I'm used to or it has combined with the ginger or thyme in some crazy way that totally throws my poor nose off. I do know that this isn't a scent that my skin likes too much. I wish it could have worked for me.

    Olokun

Mmm, this smells like the ocean without the bitter aftertaste. Olokun seems to see-saw between salty and sweet everytime I sniff my wrist, very tangy too. Which I have no problem with. This is literally making my mouth water for some odd reason. It does get a tad soapy, but it's hardly off putting. Like you just got out of the shower after you've been to the beach. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to last long on me, but that's just my skin eating the perfume as usual. I like this, if i had just gotten an imp of this I would have gone on and bought a bottle. Fortunately I trusted my instincts on this one and went ahead and got it unsniffed. Yay for good luck!

    Yew-Trees

I love my pine scents and when this was wet it started out a beautiful evergreen scent with just a hint of something sweet in the background. I would have loved this had it stayed like that. Alas, it was not to be. While it was drying I started to smell that sun tan oil smell that people have mentioned, which just did. not. stop. Eventually it overcame the pine and berry and now I smell like vanilla playdoh. I blame it entirely on my skin. >,< Ah well, can't win them all I suppose.

    Twenty-One

A tribute to New York’s 21 Club on West 52nd, formerly the speakeasy Jack & Charlie’s Puncheon Club. This is the scent of the perfect martini. I got Twenty-One as a frimp when I bought a bottle of Snow Moon on the Boards. In honour of my 21st birthday no less. So we already know I like pine and that pine likes me. (This would be my 3rd bottle of Snow Moon. ) This never got a pine-sol smell with me, it just doesn't have that sweet chemical smell to it for that. Well, at least on my skin. So when I first put it on the Juniper came out very nicely. Then when that calmed down a bit, the citrus and bubbly* notes came out, and from the few times I've come in contact with a martini it certainly smells like one. Rhubarbbear is right, Twenty-one has a hint of Sprite without the nasty syrup sweetness of soda. The only thing bad about this scent I could say is that it doesn't last nearly as long as I'd like. It didn't last more than 2 hours on my skin. Over all, I'd give it a 4 out of 5. Simply 'cause it fades too fast on me. *A bubbly note? What is that exactly and how the heck does Beth do that? It's in Snow Angel too! So good.

Aquatics - scents of the ocean, the sea

I love Aquatics, my favorite commercial perfume being Cool Water. Although I haven't found a scent that mimics that one, I've found a few that your friend may enjoy. Niflheim, is my favorite. It's misty and mysterious, It kinda reminds of a deep fresh water lake in early fall. If that makes any sense. Danube is also a good, and it's a bit sweeter and citrusy than Nifheilm. But also very lovely. Water of Notre Dame is also a popular aquatic, although with my skin it's just too soapy for me. I haven't tried many others yet. Those are just the ones that I've noticed so far, Hope this helps a bit.
  14. A scent that I really noticed makes me feel good about myself is Red Phoenix. It made me feel stronger and more confident. Which is really odd for me as I normally don't associate perfumes with emotions or my well being. Usually it's either I like the scent or I don't. Don't get me wrong I love Red Phoenix, but it's one of the first that made me feel like that. Also, I got a frimp of Wolfsbane, not exactly a scent I crave. But it was a scent that made me feel comfortable. I don't know why exactly but I like to wear it when I'm feeling jittery. So that's just the opinion of a lowly newbie. So you may want take it with a grain of salt.

    Snow Angel

:: Does a snoopy dance in honour of getting her inquisition order before christmas:: Well I am surprised I like this so much. Normally Lemon gives me a bit of a headache, which really ruined Cordelia for me, but Snow Angel is so sweet I thought it was just a tangy mandarin smell. I didn't even get a tiny headache, I am so pleased with this scent. In the bottle it's much like a sweet spicy orange, it smelled a bit bubbly as well. Mmm. When I applied it the tea shone through for a moment or two and then, Bam, I got the sugared lemons everyone's talking about. After about 10-15 min. the lemon smooths into a powdery fruit, that I suppose is peach? It's still spicy and sweet all throughout, and the powder doesn't bother me at all, which is again, very surprising. This is very apt for Yuletime. I give it 4/5... really I might give it a 5/5 on the Zizi scale of "omg ThankYou" but I need some time with it before I set my mind. Really, really, delightful!
