    Tombstone

Tried this for the first time today. At first, I smelled vanilla twined with cedar. The scents together seemed to confuse my nose, because I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. Later, the cedar came out more - I love the smell of those little cedar jewelry boxes, so that made me happy. A few hints of mint too - does that come from the sassafras? It had other wood in there I didn't recognize, which made me think this would smell wonderful on the right guy. No one to experiment on just now, so I'll have to wear it myself- darn Ten hours after I put it on, I could still smell it - by that time, it was a delicious warm but not overwhelming vanilla. The later scent entirely made up for the ambivalence I felt about it at first - I'll definitely wear this again.

    Oneiroi

I thought I liked lavender ... apparently I like it better when it's not on me. This smelled like light lavender at first, then I started to smell jasmine. Lots of it. While jasmine smells delicious coming from a teapot, it smells absolutely awful on me. I should stick to warmer smells from now on - I don't care for light & ethereal at all. At least I didn't have to wrinkle my nose at it for long - it faded remarkably quickly. Perhaps I can use it for a room scent.

    Lucy's Kiss

This scent reminds me of sniffing the white roses growing outside my apartment building - floral, fresh, not too heavy, with a bit of light spice that keeps it from being insipid or dull. A friend said I smelled like a fruity rose, which confused me a bit ... All in all, I quite like this one & may order a larger bottle. I think it'll be perfect for light summer days, before it gets swelteringly hot. Just for heaven's sake, don't spill it on yourself & do an inadequate job of removing the excess - everyone sat on the other end of the bus on my ride to work that day, & before long I was sick of the very idea of roses. Whoops.

    Snake Oil

I've found this to be sadly true ... The first time I wore Snake Oil, I instantly fell in love. Vanilla & spices, blended to perfection - I smelled intriguing & mysterious, sultry & edible at the same time. My guy friend complimented me on how my new perfume seemed to perfectly fit my personality & smelled delicious. Then. I put it on as I was dashing out the door to work, & thought something smelled different, but couldn't say what till I got there, & a coworker said, "You smell like a baby." I suppose there are worse things, but so not what I was going for. Further sniffing of my wrists confirmed my growing suspicion that I smelled like Play-Doh. Great sadness. Stupid body chemistry! Still love the way it smells in the bottle, but am kind of afraid to wear it now. When it's on, it's worth the gamble though.

    Black Phoenix

]This one saved my second order of samples for me. The first order was full of wonderful things, but apparently this last time I chose poorly - except here. It smells like almonds and cherries ... kind of like naughty Dr. Pepper. With musk. Which may not sound like a rave review, but I love almond scent, and this smells juicy & mischievous & very feminine to me. Yum.
