    Yipe!

In the vein (GET IT) of Boo, Suck It, and Spooky, this is a gushing font of sweet bloody black cherry cream and crushed dried blackberries. First review for this.... I am a cherry fiend, so this was a must buy for me. In the bottle: strong cherry cream. Very similar to the cherry in Ghoulish and Gothabilly. Wet on the skin: Same as the bottle. Very strong. No blackberry detected. Dry: this quieted down very quickly on my skin, becoming a skin scent within moments. Nearly a dead ringer for Ghoulish and Gothabilly, a soft cherry cream scent. No blackberry. I'm a bit disappointed in this. I have 4 bottles of Ghoulish, and I've a decant of Gothabilly, and so far this is nearly identical to them. I'm going to let this age in the hopes the blackberry comes out, and the strength increases. I won't sell it as I can always use more soft cherry fluff, but I was hoping for something different in this.

    Drag on a Slime

Source: fantastic fairy. Oh Hi-ya there pinkness. It's like the pink God's decided they were going to create the most over the top pink outfit in smells, and this is the result. At the core, the guava is the deep pink beaded close fitting corseted dress with all the glitz and shine. Then comes the fluffy, flurthy lime accent ruffles all along the edge, sparkling with tiny sequins of shimmering sugar. Rounding out is the menage of fluffy pink orchid glitter that trails around like a gossamer cloud, like shimmering cotton candy, like the sheen you project from the light. This is pink, fluffy, fruity, sweet sweet sweet in both a bold and feminine way. A little over the top, a little come hither. This is going to be fabulous on summer nights that are heavy with humidity.
  3. [No additional description provided.] Disclaimer: The bottle was *very* cold sitting out in the chilly 40's of Minnesota. In the bottle: 'Juicy' clove. Not straight up identifiable fruit, but a chewy undertone. Interesting. On me: Whoah clove! This is a strong warm spicy clove, with a slightly smokey touch (the ouhd and leaves is my guess). The fruitiness is gone. I'm a bit disappointed as I really wanted a plum heavy blend. But I'm going to let this warm up and settle for a few days, as I've had blends change after a couple of days. But I am going to try layering this with some plum heavy blends like Bordello and The Soul of La Travata. Verdict:While this (at this point) isn't the spicy plum of my dreams, this is surprisingly nostalgic inducing for me. I was a teenager in the 90's, and this is bringing me back to days of dancing at clubs and raves, when smoking indoors was legal, and my friends and I all smoked clove cigarettes. I can smell them. Hear the R&B by R. Kelly, rap by Snoop Dogg and Warren G, and grunge rock by Stone Temple Pilots and Bush. Makes me want to buy some Djarums, open a wine cooler, pop the earphones in and listen to the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmanns Romeo and Juliet. Keeper.

    I've never found a scent I liked!

I also put a vote in for Eat Me (definitely a fluffy white angel food cake with underlying note of fruit), if you like strawberry, Pink Lace is strawberry and Vanilla, many of the older box of chocolate scents are worth a look (Dark chocolate Cherry smells like a genuine cherry cordial),or hunt down a long discontinued imp of Gluttony.

    Sugar Skull Hair Gloss

Vibrant with the joy and sweetness of life in death! A blend of five sugars, lightly dusted with candied fruits. Sugar Skull is always the scent I get the most compliments wearing, but the oil version has *huge* throw on me, (as in 20ft away people are commenting on it). I was hoping the HG would be a more wearable incarnation of this beloved favorite on me. It is. Still the same lovely brown sugar/raw sugar sweetness, with the slightly caramelized burnt sort of 'crustiness' (think creme brulee crust) undertone. But far less in your face manner. I use my HG's on my body as well as my hair, and the throw is more subtle, but still detectable if you sniff. Just what I wanted. Winner! Edit: After wearing this a couple of times, I will say the throw on this is 'smokier' then the original. Definitely reminiscent of a creme brulee crust.

Dark Chocolate and Sweet Orange Bath Oil

When the decant arrived, honestly, it smelled a little.... Sour... Given 2 days of rest, this now smells like the perfect chocolate orange, like the hard round ones you slam on the table to break up at Christmas time. Dark rich chocolate and sweet orange, perfectly blended. Delicious. It wasn't potent in the bath, but slathered on the skin it blooms.
  7. First sniff- Oh my! Definitely a relative to Velvet, deep cocoa and sandlewood with a nutty undertone (must be the nutmeg). This is delicious. In my hair, mostly sandlewood with the cocoa receding a touch and the nutmeg coming forward. It's a soft 'brown' sexy scent. The amber may be contributing to the warmth, but I don't detect it outright. This will layer fabulously with Velvet, like being enveloped in a fuzzy soft blanket. Bottle.

    Cave of Treasures

I had high hopes for this, as lilac is a sentimental scent for me, as my departed grandmother had lilac bushes around her house, and the smell reminds me of her. Wet, this is glorious full on realistic lilac. Fresh, intoxicating, and lush. Divine. Dry, this turned into old lady soap on me, as florals often do. I had a huge sad about that. An hour later, the spot where I tested it had itchy red bumps. As I've never had trouble with cardamon, amber or honey, I'm assuming it is one of the other notes my skin is reacting too. I'll keep the decant to huff, and maybe invest in a scent locket for this.

    Flickering Lantern

I write this review with several disclaimers. 1. Rose usually hates me, and turns to high pitched soap on me. 2. Tobacco usually amps, and I smell like an ashtray. 3. I've never tried beeswax before. But for some reason I had to get a decant of this, and holy crap I'm glad I did! This is gorgeous. Smokey, creamy, sweet... Subtle and ethereal, mysterious and sexy. The beeswax is the star, with a smokey purple rose lightly scenting it. It's not overpowering, and for once the rose is behaving on me (only other scent to have rose play nice on me is Pink Lace). This is along that vein, only smokey and purple, rather then pink and sweet. It's really hard to describe, but it's fantastic. If rose usually has you wary, fear not on this blend. Multiple bottle worthy.

    Smut

2017 version I'm a Smut lover, the 2012 vintage being my favorite, so let's see how this stacks up. This version is not heavy on a particular note, like 2012 is on the Ameretto, but it is sweeter and more sugary to my nose then the 2015 version. Still musky and boozy, but almost with a sugar crust if that makes sense? It's still great, I'll still wear it, and it's still the much beloved Smut we all know.

Dark Chocolate, Whiskey, and Cardamom-Infused Caramel

Dark Chocolate Whiskey Cognac Truffle is a top 5 for me, so I was super excited for this. This is just like that, but sweeter with the addition of caramel and some subtle spiciness. The chocolate is a bitter, rich dark chocolate, the whiskey is present but not a in your face note, and underneath is a rich layer of yummy goopy spicy caramel. It has a lot of throw, so a little goes a long way. Total keeper!

    Pleasures of the Imagination I

This is fantastic. Bite your teeth down hard black leather with beautiful sexy myrrh and sweet amber blooming underneath. This is a blend to wear when you want to announce your kicking ass and taking names. Not for the meek. In a lot of ways this is very similar to the Black Rider, minus the sometimes 'dirty' note of the tobacco that can amp on me. This will be layered with Bordello for certain. A winner!

    The Soul of La Traviata

The Soul of La Traviata, Sidney Sime. Black plum, black musk, black currant, iridescent pink grapefruit, neroli, and jungle orchid. I am the first?! Well, I had best get on with this! There was no way, NO WAY, I could let this one get away from me. Black Plum, black current, black musk AND jungle orchid in one blend?! Hello?! Holy grail making here! In the bottle- BAM! In your face black plum and black current. This is like WOAH strong! Wet in skin- yup, the black plum is roaring to the front, with the bitterness of the black current in a close second. Not detecting the musk, but there is a sparkling, shimmery aspect that I think is the grapefruit. I can detect some floral underneath, if not pick them out individually. Dry- in a way this is the dark evil twin of sugar plum fairy. Or its black swan to SPF's white swan. The plum is the star player here, no doubt about it, but whereas SPF has bright sweet complementing notes, this is darker. This is a heady, sexual quality to this. Black plum, currant and grapefruit making this the rich star it is. I am not getting the orchid I was hoping for, but its all right with me. After an hour- There's the orchid! Lurking under the bolder notes, but it is present. WIN.

    'Pink' scents

Sorry if this Is a topic already in place, I looked but couldn't find one. Feel free to merge if there is. What is your favorite 'Pink' sort of feeling/scented oils? I have recently been craving all things pink, (odd for a self professed edgy tomboy), and sweet girly pink scents are at the top of the list. I have Ghoulish, Golletts, Vasilissa, and have tried Pink Lace (a real love along with Ghoulish), and L' Essence De L'Engouement. Any other suggestions? I know Pink Snowballs is 'pink' but strong rose doesn't work on me. Looking towards the sweeter/sugar types.

    Spiced Autumn Cider

Wet this smelled identical to those foot long pieces of gum I got as a kid, Bubblegum tape? Dry it's a cinnamon spicy apple, with a wine undertone. On the fence with them.

    Apple IX

This is an unexpected winner. Sweet champagne, with apple and melon undertones on me. It's sweet, bright, and uplifting. It does read more of a spring scent to me. I really like this and will likely upgrade to a bottle. I need something like this right now.

    Honeyed Apple

I agree this smells like a fancy shampoo. On me there is a strong high pitched astringent note overlaying a floraly apple. Nothing resembling honey. I'll keep the imp in the hopes it smooths out, but as is, it's too sharp for me.

    Cyborg

Inspired by the character Grendel-Prime. A heavy-metal cyborg, created by the Grendel-Khan to act as a paladin protector for his only son and heir, an unstoppable killing machine. Gleaming metal and black leather over a khus-darkened bay rum. In the bottle- Calvin Klein Eternity for men? Nearly a dead ringer. Wet on the skin, more metal aspect comes out, not much rum, unless that's the Khus I am smelling. Leather in the background. Giving me fond memories of hot make out sessions with past boyfriends http://www.bpal.org/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/icon_smile.gif Dry on skin- more leather coming out..Slightly generic in a way, but not. Masculine and sexy. Reminds me off how my skin smelled after sex with a long ago ex. I do kinda like this. Overall this might be to generic for some tastes, but memory envoking it is http://www.bpal.org/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/icon_smile.gif a keeper for me!

    Spooky Hair Gloss

Yummy minty coconut cloud. I don't get any rum or chocolate, but that's ok. This smells cool and summery. Lots of rotation for this this summer.

O Daughter of Death and Priapus

O DAUGHTER OF DEATH AND PRIAPUS They were purple of raiment and golden, Filled full of thee, fiery with wine, Thy lovers, in haunts unbeholden, In marvellous chambers of thine. They are fled, and their footprints escape us, Who appraise thee, adore, and abstain, O daughter of Death and Priapus, Our Lady of Pain. Black opium, wild plum, cypress tar, Bulgarian rose, olibanum, black orchid, and tobacco. Yay! I am the first! This is straight out of the box, so I may come back and edit after this settles.... In the bottle this is straight up Opium and Orchid, very similar to Black Orchid v3 to my nose, strong and heady. Wet on skin- still very strong opium and orchid, with something lurking underneath, I think its the cypress and plum..... mmmm.... I like this. No rose detectable yet, but as rose isn't always my friend just fine by me. Dry- this softens up considerably. The rose does start coming out slightly, but its still behind the orchid and opium. Not much plum detected, which is slightly disappointing, but I am such an orchid fan I don't really care I would definitely categorize this in the same vein as Black Orchid v3, or if your a fan of Great Vampire Bat. Smokey Orchid fans rejoice! This will be used quite a bit this summer on steamy evenings as I see this being a beautiful wafter.

    Joyful Dalliances in the Underworld

Wet, vetiver. Strong and sharp. I was put off by it, but was willing to wait for the dry down, and I'm glad I did. Dry, it's a sweet cognac tempered by cherry and chewy apricot, backed with a subtle leather note. I'll be buying a bottle of this, SS I think it will layer well as well as stand alone.

    The Avenue

This was the unexpected winner of my decants. Strongly pepper wet, it's not long before the sweetness of the chocolate comes in, making this a lovely spicy sweet scent with a lot of punch. Definitely getting a bottle.

A Mirror of Spring Pleasures on Kites (2016)

Initially this was a blast of strong Gardenia with a hint of sweet berry behind it. An hour later it's a soft, slightly incensey blend of strawberry and blackberry with a hint of Gardenia. It's pretty, and sweet, but it didn't blow my socks off like I had hoped it would. I'll keep the imp, and possibly spring for a bottle later. EDT: two weeks later and the Gardenia has really settled down, and the Champaca is blooming. I've worn this 3 times as full day runs, and gotten complimented each time. It wins the bottle buy out of my luper decants. Edit #2- I ordered a bottle, and it's all Vanilla Frankincense. No berries, no wine, nothing. I did a side by side next to Hope and Fear set Free, and they smell identical. I'm heartbroken, as the strawberries and blackberries were my favorite part. Hell, I'd take some Gardenia at this point too. I'm going to let it age in the hopes the other notes show, but I can't believe it. This appears very batch variant.

    Melty Pumpkin Ice Cream

Love this. I got a half imp in a swap, and this is awesome. It's like a softer creamier version of Jack (a favorite). I wish I could track down a bottle of this.
