    Apple VI

I'm a pretty pretty princess! SAY IT!... I'M A PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS!! Yup. That's what I said when I sampled this. Anyways, this is light, white, ethereal, billowing chiffon and tulle, untouchable, fragile, virgin princess apple. Like you could destroy this gal's world just by telling her where poop goes after she flushes. (she doesn't poop, of course, but if she did...) Similar feel to Silver Apple of the Moon with less musk base. Nice, but not super signature "me". I estimate it'll be a favorite among fans of sweet snow and iris notes.

    Apple VII

Of course, wet this is a billion red apples freshly cut. Drydown is surprisingly good. All 3 elements are harmonious and evenly balanced. The cacao glows and the vetivert is just a nice musky earthy base with red apple still present. Very calming in a creature comforts kinda way. Perfect representation of fall. Think fall cabin with billowing chimney, soft plush livingroom rug, and a 70's variety show special on an old tube TV you dug outta a dusty box of VHS tapes.

    Apple X

Apple X is surprisingly mellow on me. I thought it would be a strong bashing whoamg scent but no...Think more like a kitchen store's apple teak countertop spray.... Everything is fused together like superglued legos. Its refined, musky, teakwoody apple with a touch of sweet to keep your appetite up... and prevent you from throwing it like a hand grenade into the mancave or pawning it off on a guy friend. Not much red musk, which is fortunate. I have a hard time with it. Its more white musk, teak, apple and a little joyous vanilla cream. I like it!

    Apple VIII

You know, this might've lifted my temporary ban on black patchouli. The combo confused me when I read it but now I understand. Apple pulp is what comes to the forefront, straight mashed apples being prepared in a cider press. Delicious, earthy, bit of skin and very real. Apple blossom appears in the drydown to keep things bright. Black patchouli just provides an earthy base, giving the sense of being outside in the fresh fall air. Overall, I really really like this one! Debating a bottle.

    Yellow Pumpkin Floss

Holy fuck! I'm awake I'm awake! Wet, out of the decant this is pure lemon Mountain Dew buzz. My verbal reaction was "rreeeeaawwww,,, pow! pow! pow! Whooooooo!" Drydown is a bit mellower. Its reminding me very much of a couple atomic luau lounge scents. Lemony slightly tropical with a bit of rum spice. My advice? Hang onto this for when you're falling asleep standing or summer heat is melting your brain cells. It'll work. Trust me.

    Lavender Pumpkin Floss

Ooooohhhh.... /review. oh wait. I need to say more? Wet: Smells like Lush's Twilight with a touch more spice. Totally awesome. Drydown: More spice but the purple lavender notes are actually sticking around! Very comforting like TKO but fuzzier and warmer. Its like cozying up with a cup of hot cocoa in your favorite blanket with twinkling strand lights around the ceiling.

    Pumpkin Tobacco Atmosphere Spray

Holy shit I love this. Like previously said, its equal parts tobacco and pumpkin. Its sweet French Tobacco and realistic dried pumpkin. Simple, sexy, comforting. I just ordered a back up.

    Chaos Theory VII: Oriental

Third owner of # 137. Aaannnd its final home... I LOVE this oriental. It is very potent...so, small application is a must. This is the most gorgeous luxurious leather scent I've ever experienced. To me, it smells like a Dior store. (whoa) Blonde/white sueded leather, white amber, white musk. As for the mystery floral, what I can smell is either african lilies, a touch or marigold, or both. Well blended, unique, sophisticated. Total winner.

    Qandisa

Wet and dry, this smells like sweet sugared red musk with a touch of smoke. The vetivert isn't overbearing. So, WIN!
  11. Whenever I travel somewhere, I make the mistake of bringing overly complicated scents and end up wearing nothing because I want to absorb the smells and spirit of the area. When I think of Nashville, I think of sweet greenness and soft flowing brooks and rivers. I would recommend bringing some scents that accent and amplify its essence. My ideas would be a little more understated or romantic. Something simple to compliment the smells there + the season... Haunted (there's many a ghost story out of Nashville and KY) Lyonesse (the soft lilies and vanilla will compliment the falling leaves and decay) your 2009 vintage SO (old houses, old wood, cemeteries, history...whiskey...calls for a night on the town wearing Snake Oil!) Mrs. Dunbar

Holy shit. I love this. Having always been a freesia geek, this was instant appeal. Wish I got like 3 bottles. Its billowy clean vanilla. Actually notable sweet freesia giving a floral light purple tinge. Then a bit of brightness from the white tea that washes my brain windows. Overall color impression is ribbons of light yellow and purple light. This is how I wish to feel after leaving a salon or doing a long-ass yoga session...like the years have been peeled off and the reset button pushed... No one can tell, not even I, that I spent my 20s and 30s being a total hot mess. This scent is my happy place.
  13. I can't speak for many cream and aquatic notes besides The Sea Foams Milk: Milk cresting on an ocean wave., which you may love...but here are my odd comfort scents. Buggre Alle This Bible: Crumbling paper and ancient cracked leather with a touch of tobacco leaf and incense. Boober: A fretfully clean scent: freshly-washed laundry, linden blossom, soap suds, and a sprinkle of vanilla. Adam (OLLA): Adam, our suicidally romantic scoundrel. His scent is a palette of somber colors, melancholy memories, and lupine, savage beauty: black leather, pale sandalwood, ambergris accord, and the memory of a long-lost Victorian fougère. His internal life seems to be reflected in his lair, so his perfume also possesses the scent of the wood of his guitars, the rosin from his violin bow, the musty wool of neglected Oriental carpets, the plastic, metal, and magnetic tape of his reel-to-reel, the dust that permeates everything.

    Peach IV (2016)

Peach-infused oudh with orange blossom. Peach IV: Its a gorgeous, resinous, hippie peach. Oudhs can vary in depth and mixture, in my experience. This oudh is particularly deep..smells exactly like a collection of incenses from india, nepal, etc, with a touch of vetiver. I thought I smelled Nag Champa when 1st applied. The peach is syrupy and ripe, a la Peach I 2013 or Grand Guignol. It gets way behind the oudh in drydown, same with the orange blossom. Hence, it mellows to a daydreamy sweet oudh. Overall, I'm very happy with this one!

    Peach VII (2016)

Ooh! Pink sugar! The lemon is sweet and purely juicy, no pulp or rind. The sugar is giving it a musky feel, like Sugar Skulls or Golletes. Peach is kinda unusual: sweet/slightly strawberry shortcake doll synthetic, fun/playful. Drydown gets even muskier! Wow! Reminds me slightly of Tokyo Milk's Kabuki. YUM. Sexy, young, playful, lolita-ish. Makes me wanna live in a dollhouse covered in pinafores, frilly wrist-length lace gloves, and petticoats. Excellent!

    Peach VI (2016)

Whoa. Super rich port wine-like peach, with a grounding base of earthy, woody, dry sandalwood. The perfect sweet fall scent. Color impression is billowing burgundy/red/burnt orange. What more could I ask for? The black currant is very sweet and syrupy, a la Eat Me. Peach, its the juicy ripe kind. The sandalwood isn't mealy or overtly balsamic. Just nice and dry. Pink Pepper is just a supporting role. Barely visible, but important. Its the underwire bra to the voluptuous peach and blackcurrant tits. (yea I just said that) I'm loving this one. Another hit from the peach pit!

    Peach I (2016)

I have a confession. Sometimes I wrestle with myself about writing a glowing review because I know it'll make it that much harder for me to locate a backup bottle...this is one of those. Hhahaahahaa... anyways...Can't help but always be honest, so here it goes *le sigh*. OMG. Peach 1 2016 is THE SHIT. I am head over heels in love with it. Like, literally gaga. Its the perfect storm, on my skin and has rocketed to the top of my bpal favorites list as soon as this sneaky little gal hit my skin. The rose musk has found perfect friends. White pear can go acidic on me in milliseconds...but its so compatible with everything here, I've completely changed my mind on my crappy relationship with pear. While peach isn't the 1st note that comes to mind when I sniff, it nevertheless is a large contributing factor to the win. Its so well blended, the only thing I can visually compare it to is watching a euphoric cult clan dancing in a ring, covered in flowers, love & unbridled joy. Its a perfect sweet, pink-toned, summery, rose musk scent. LOVE. :wub2:

    Queen

Is my smeller broken? Or have I sucked up so much argon gas and metal dust that I've warped my snooter power? I'm not getting evergreen or eucalyptus at all! This smells buttery, warm, musky. Like a toned down version of Eos. Like seriously buttery golden. My sweetheart's gonna try to spread me on toast. (rreeeooww!) Hence, WIN.

At The Mid Hour of Night

Why did I never review this? Anyways, its aged lovely. Gorgeous creamy dark musk and smooth sweet jasmine with moonflower. I'm *quite* impressed. So much so that I dragged it back off my sales page. It smells similar to a wiccan shop. Like when you first walk in the door and the sanctity & calm washes over you, due to the combination of beautiful sacred oils and incenses. Yup. That's precious to me, considering how life changing those sacred spaces were when I was a confused wee teen. Made me see there is very much about the world I didn't know, but wanted to!

    Velvet Pink Kitty Atmosphere Spray

The atmosphere spray is pink creamy sugar with a touch of grenadine and a bare breath of gin. I'm getting much less booze than zee zee. Hmm. Honestly I love it and it lasts forever. My husband sprayed it in his car a week ago and it still smells delicious in there!

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

Hmm. Ok. I love doing this so bear with me..my brain bizarrely retains most of the black phoenix library, which I pull like dewey decimal cards... I'm glad to make it into useful knowledge occasionally... Don't ask me to remember where I parked my car in a large lot. I won't know. But quiz me on the notes of bpal scents and I'll get an A+. Weeeiiirrrddd... I would suggest the following..crossing over from pirate to tiki: Santo Domingo:An exotic, sultry blend of tobacco leaf, bay rum and heady Caribbean blossoms. Caliban: (sorry I know there's a marine accord but I thought it was most relevant) The scent of the salty seas, bittersweet wine, palm and tropical ferns. Hetairae: (one of my faves!): A seductive and dazzling blend of golden honey, fiery patchouli, sweet fig and clove, and a blushing touch of ylang ylang. Mary Read (I know.. another aquatic..but trust me.. its awesome!): Salt air, ocean mist, aged patchouli, sarsaparilla, watered-down rum, leather-tinged musk, and a spray of gunpowder. Boomslang: Snake Oil with cocoa, teakwood, and rice milk. (ungh!) Goblin: Black coconut, gnarly patchouli, and sweet benzoin. (hey..why not. Feral tiki goddess, eh?) Eden: fig leaf, fig fruit, honeyed almond milk, toasted coconut and sandalwood. Elegba: His ofrenda contains coconut, tobacco and sweet, sugared rum. Obatala: (smells like coconut suntan lotion but fresher) Obatala’s ofrenda is soft, white and pure: milk, coconut meat, shea butter and cool, refreshing water. Shango: (one of my fav banana tropical scents!!) The Master of Lightning’s ofrenda contains red apples, banana, chili pepper, coconut, pineapple, pomegranate and sugar cane. harder to find: The Initiation: (lupers 2016. It rules!!) Red wine and vanilla pod infused with caramel, peach, tobacco flower, and coconut. Tiki Princess: I second it... Its good stuff. Check out the old Atomic Luau Lounge collection. Tons of tropical cocktails! Should be relatively easy to find on the sales pages, here. ETA: Oh! And if you can find it, I highly recommed Luna Negra 2011: blackberry and blackcurrant with Nepalese amber, kewda attar, and a deep, rich, sweet dark musk.
