Brain maze of the bpal library gearing up... hang on! I've got nothing in the way of green bell peppers for ya...sorry. I second the zucchini smell from Orc. The Shattered Pumpkin or Theme in Yellow. Both have a raw pumpkin smell. Ushi: seriously tomatoes + fruit! I haven't tried it yet but can anyone vouch for Hagsgate? Its got some serious veggies: An accursed bounty: rich black soil and hay, cucumber, tomato, red lettuce, summer squash, black eggplant, arugula, grape vine, artichoke, and a tangle of herbs marred by an undercurrent of vetiver, patchouli, and black moss. That's all I got.

Lush to BPAL scent comparisons (BNever included too)

Love is a dead-on match of Rose Jam, for me. -
Back up bottle needed. Nuff said. No really, its awesome. The lotus lends a light fresh floral tinge and sandalwood a bit of clean earthiness. Keeps it from being strictly gourmand central. Plus, surprise, it smells awesome on dudes too! ps: the artwork actually made me gasp and say "ohmygerdddd!" Most graphic shunga award goes to.....

Wow! This is the 1st blend I've experienced where angels trumpet was notable and actually stuck around! Its wet, purple, green, earthy, clean. Reminded me of Devil's Nightcap from LUSH for a sec. Violet becomes more prominent in the drydown but its still sufficiently obscured by the rarer floral and base notes. Overall, I truly like it. Nice floral that's just this side of different. I'd say wear this to confuse true floral geeks...they won't be able to identify the notes clearly. Plus, its got hella throw!

Another vote of confidence, here. Easter Lily is creamy, waxy, white, opulent gorgeousness, with a touch of golden pollen. Like I shoved my face in the real thing. A little goes a long way and the lasting power is amazing.

Ok this is gonna be a longer review, bear with me.... I have The Words for this one! One of my favorites. I've already ordered a bottle. I may need like 4 more... Its severely headcloud clearing. Feels like someone took a weight off my temples! I have a tendency/talent (depending on how you look at it) to hyper-focus on almost anything. Like to the point that I can block out surrounding noise etc.. this brings me right out of that mode! Hence this is unexpectedly aromatheraputic. Slightly musky, citrusy, deep green but airy herbal, dark gunpowder tea gorgeousness. The wormwood acts as a nice base note, grounding the bright sunny yellow bergamot and neroli. Never thought it could do that! Thyme should be used more often, like everywhere. Its great. This is no exception. Its the perfect airy herbal top note. I really can't describe it better than airy. Redcurrant flows around the outer edge to provide a slight sweetness without breaking up the smooth greenness. Honestly, this is one of Beth's stroke of genius moments. I love when she incorporates uncommon herbals, ie: Gun Moll tarragon. Geisha in Green Kimono can turn your head from boulder to balloon in one sniff flat. That's my tag line.

The carnation/lavender/hay combo turns to sexy tobacco on me? I smell like a debonair man's debaucherous playroom. Its a good thing! I vote this one as the sleeper hit.

I do love this scent more than I anticipated. Goes to show that you never can predict a winner til you try them all The white incense note immediately releases pressure and makes my head all floaty and carefree. Light, woody, with a dry lemon citrus to brighten things up. Color/texture impression is golden tan smoke.

Realizing now that I shoulda ordered a back up bottle of this one. Its Ninon without all the sharp notes. This really is wonderful. Sweet golden vanilla and warm/non-powdery honey musk. The magnolia isn't sharp or super present. It just is. Perfection.
-
WHOAMYGOD.. this scent rules. Its all sexy musky amber and red/golden wood with a gorgeous sweetness. Whatever frothing does to honey, I would like that done to myself, please. It apparently makes all the difference.

Wet: wonderfully prominent frangipani and plumeria (I have the dumbest spellcheck ever by the way... it doesn't recognize these 2 flower names) Drydown: as per usual, the white gardenia takes over on me and pushes all other florals (oh great, spellcheck..florals isn't a real word either?) to the background. I do wish I fared better with the lab's gardenia note. Oh well. Someone else who's skin wrangles it better will love this blend and get more complexity from it.

You know, I love this but is just not as strong as I preconceived. Its much smoother and more honeyed than I thought it may be. The lime note isn't as sharp as I thought. I may sound pouty about it but whateves..its still lovely. This will make a wonderful summertime scent.

This scent is just *uunnnghhhh!!!* Like really. If you got along well with Peach I, then this will be your new bff. Its Peach I minus peach, add that great sweet wine note from Horror Sympathique and a bit more sex. This is my hoarding scent of the 2016 lupers.

This smells like a headshop with vaporizers and incense. Overall, mischievous and relaxing. Patchouli hasn't been my best friend in the past 2 years but if it still loves you, have fun with this one! ETA: LOL! I posted this without even seeing Leopard403 said the same thing about smelling headshopy!

This. This is an amazing opus of a jasmine scent. Like the sexiest smoky dark jasmine I've ever smelled. Think Tunisian Jasmine with less synthetic musk.
-
Wow, this has aged wonderfully. Smooth as silk, musky, magnolia with overtones of limb-loosening champaca. Lovely. Absolutely lovely.

Wet, I said aloud "I smell like an old lady...but a nice old lady" That passed quickly into warm wet lovely flowers. This is a perfect light pink/pastel purple scent.

VIRGINIA Virginia Elisabetta Luisa Carlotta Antonietta Teresa Maria Oldoïni was born in Florence to minor Tuscan nobility. At 17, she married Francesco Verasis, conte di Castiglione, and bore him one son. In 1855, she traveled to Paris as a diplomat with instructions to plead the case for Italian unity with Napoleon III. She displayed an impressive gift for foreign affairs, becoming Napoleon III's mistress and gaining entrance to a glittering social circle that included the cream of European royalty. During this time, she wielded a great deal of political clout as both a courtesan and a spy, and her influence was such that she was instrumental in helping to protect Paris from a Prussian occupation. Considered by many to be the first fashion model, she directed Pierre-Louis Pierson at the Mayer & Pierson studio in Paris to assist in accumulating over seven hundred photographs documenting pivotal moments in her life and flashes of Surrealist artistic symbolism. Photos from this period include images of her in a nun's habit, as a virgin drowned, as a corpse, and also as Lady Macbeth sleepwalking, Judith entering the tent of Holofernes, Anne Boleyn, and Goya's Nude Maja. An exotic South Asian musk blended with white sandalwood, tobacco absolute, white sage, caramel, black orchid, tonka bean, frankincense, muguet, and juniper. This is truly bizarre. I can only smell the slightest red musk and something a little sweet however the oil is completely opaque..? I expected this to smell very strongly, looking at all the ingredients. I'm starting to think there's something wrong with me. Then again, I tested my nose against a few other familiar scents and everything checked out ok.. I conferred with the dh and he only smelled a slight musk too. This is incredibly light. I'm going to watch this topic to see if others agree or if there's something wrong with the way my nose perceives this. Further into drydown, there's a slight waft of caramel and frankincense but that's me really straining to smell something. Double layered, I can smell the white sage and juniper with slight sharpness for a second and then it's gone, back to a strange musky ether.

Haute Macabre and Sympathetic/Helpful Crone both have oak leaf in them. I can definitely smell it!

I'm so confused.. this is the only scent I've not been able to detect patchouli quickly. I mean its a front-runner note, right? Overall Heroine is lovely. Wet: Fruity amber with a prominent rhubarb note, anchored by vanillic dark musk. Drydown: less fruit/rhubarb and the amber blooms WONDERFULLY. Now its warm, glowy, musky goodness. Kinda like La Lugubre Gondola.
-
Wet, this is kinda frightening because the combo of oudh and grey benzoin blasts into space.. Its super dry with an embalming fluid feel (like real embalming fluid, not the bpal perfume) and a wet dirt note. Dry: a true morpher. Like the biggest morpher I've ever experienced! Much more musky, bourbon vanilla, and tobacco happening now and pretty pleasant. Beth could sell this as a magic trick, along with Encroaching Madness (remember the pee to beautiful flowers thing of EM anyone?).

Gun Moll all the way. Honorable Mention: Variety of Pleasing Amusements. I actually once punched a ceiling in excitement, after applying this. I'm a tomboy. Gimme a break.
