First out of the imp, this smells like fresh cut flower stems laid on summer grass. Overwhelmingly sad smell however. This is not bright and refreshing to me. There was a sweet burst that happened during drydown. However it was quickly replaced by a soapy grassiness on my skin.

This is way more refreshing than any body wash or soap I've ever used. Yes, it has an undeniable drug store body wash freshness to it. However this grows on me. Makes me miss a few drug store products' fragrances (that on the other hand, I don't miss for their weird chemicals and animal testing)

Mmmm. First impression in imp and wet was of deep smoky amber. This is the opium scent I've been hoping for! Smouldering, dark, thick as molasses, soporific sludge of awesomeness.
-
Mmm.. sweet flowers, tobacco, and a hint of confections. This is a hit on me.. Giving Samhain a run for her money!

Airy, sweet, and an appley back. Very nice! The chrysanthemum isn't too sharp on this, so that's a relief!

Mmmm. sweet green moist pumpkin! This is great. Cactus blossom makes this sharp for a moment and then mellows to a soft green pumpkin while the sage becomes more notable.

Like many others, I think of this as a sweet light cotton smell. Definitely soft and sweet with a bit of vanilla backing? Smells a bit like Black Lace... Maybe because it's aged a couple years now. Ooorrrr a less heady version of perle von mauren. I really like it, surprisingly enough! I usually steer cllleeearrr of clean smells!

mmmmm.. this is exactly as described. It goes on sweet, dragon's blood strong here. Then the vetivert pops out but thankfully doesn't kill it for me. The spice is a nice touch.

Beautiful! In imp and wet, the paperwhites are stronger. This isn't a knock you back strong scent, however. Wet to drydown, the paperwhite mellows and narcissus, smoke and sweet lily come out. Hazy floral cloud. Very dreamy.

Strange.. in imp and wet I can detect roses more than anything. The wood and spices don't dominate as much and I thought they would? I guess my skin amps rose. Stays pretty true from imp to drydown. there's a green to yellow spice backing the rose and a red lacquered wood similar to Red Queen (no lollipop sweetness however..) Not bad!

In imp and wet, very fruity. Pear is strong. Drydown this totally changes to white/light roses. Not a big fan... up for swaps!

Memory flood! Reminds me of when I was working at an eclectic hippieish/what-not shop in Harvard Sq. Smells spicy in the imp and first wet. As soon as body heat has an affect on it, the red musk swirls out. This has a slight dragon's blood feeling to it (my friiieennd). Drydown, the musk burns off of course and the spices are medium strength/throw and warm (think high quality indian incense.. like celestial spice). Very balanced warm scent. Anyone that likes dragons blood and egyptian musk combos will sure love this one!

In imp and first wet, this smells like a cleaning solution on me. Much less herbal and citrus than I expected. Unfortunately, drydown didn't offer much more joy. Carpet cleaner on me. Yucky! Up for swapperoos.

In imp and wet it's pear with a touch of vanilla. As this cools, it flip flops so vanilla is dominant and the pear is much softer. There's a bit of that dusty ruddy smell too. Mmmm... <3

This is very calming and clean on me. I don't tend towards linen smells (toooo clean unless we're talking Winding sheet). This does have a bit of powder + floral essence to it. I can't deny that. However it's almost like almond flowers...? Hecate is the limit of "clean" in my book. I love it!

This does have a sweet buttery element to it. However I'm surprised to see that the majority did not pull arabian musk out of the mix? That seems to be what I smell the most in imp and wet. After it burned off a bit, I smelled some spice too.

Hmm In imp and first wet, this is strong floral fruit. Think the density of rose flavored turkish delight> add a fruit roll up around it and eat. Interesting morpher the way the sweetness subsides, rose dominates for a millisecond and then the lilac comes out and sweetens. The process struck me with a fear that the rose would take over and kill it. This didn't happen and the end product is beautiful.

This works wonderfully on me. In imp and first applied, this does sparkle a bit because the fruit is quite strong. It of course mellowed after a few minutes and the bergamont came out strongly. The orris root isn't powdery. I think the bergamont is balancing that. Amber is warming each element and allowing them to get along. Drydown: the juicy fruit has burned off (thankfully) and the end product is a sweet syrupy amber and orris mix. Pretty much what you would expect, reading the description.

I kind a didn't know what to expect with this one and like others I'm still baffled by it! Currant lavender and ozone are what hit me upfront..it's strange, murky, stimulating and relaxing. Ugh! Uhm. can't compute. Confused. But I like it!

On first whiff I said.. this is what all the hype is about? Uh oh.. is my nose broken from too many tests? The in imp and wet part scared me because I have a history of not getting along with the lab's vanilla. I think my skin makes enough vanilla stink on it's own and when provided competition from an outside source, sprays the intruder like a skunk. Anyways, it mellowed down and became a lovely spicy vanilla concoction. It's growing on me... Uh oh.. I guess now I'll be dreaming of aged bottles like the majority of bpal'ers now.

Purpley is right! Right out of the imp you can smell this one coming.. Strong throw! This is morgause's brazen sister!

Josie is a show stopper and really makes me curious about all the other District girls... Don't plan on layering this one! There's a nice duality about the magnolia and peaches but I can't smell anything else I've tested today.. that's fine with me. I stink good. I guess that's an ideal quality /attractive for a uuhh "woman of the night"? the magnolia balances any possible jolly rancher squelch from the peaches. This is my new "man trap" scent! hahahah

As soon as I applied this it was instantaneous love. I found the way to wear bpal vanilla! The key to the lock has been found! This mellows to a mouth watering amber on my skin. Very inviting and not suffocatingly sweet by any means. Thanks to BuxomM for sending this to me!

This scent doesn't pull any tricks. Exactly how it's described. Slightly salty however? Kinda calico jack-ish aquatic. I've been trying to break out of my scent constraints (aka violet, aquatics, and rose hatred therapy). I can't decide if Bayou is my boundary or if I can't stick with it. This may go up for swaps but I want to see how it goes wearing this in slightly warmer weather...

This is growing on me in a sick twisted big girl that likes to dress up in babydoll dresses way. I can't really say I like the initial burst of strawberry and cherry, but as I hang in there these mellow. The throw is pretty small so I had to reapply a few times to really get it to stick. But whoa when it did I smell frikkin goooood. Funny, the previous description of strawberry shortcake dolls in a new age shop... that's exactly what I like about it!
