    Bat-Woman

Wet: The most understated, muted flowers ever. It's beautiful. Dry-down: Turns into pee on my wrist, but there's a cloud of amazing around me. It's the same with Reaper and the Flowers, except this one is more "now you smell it, now you don't". Mysterious and very night-like. I just wish it wasn't pee on my wrist, darn it. I think this happens with everything that has calla lily in it. Hm... Dry: Yay! The pee is gone! The cloud around me smells like the night and sophisticated lady. It's beautiful.

This scent is a dead ringer for chocolate covered cranberry granola bars. I LOVE IT!

Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?

It's not a true rose smell or whatever, but I love Rose Cross!

    The Queen of Hearts

Wet: Nail polish remover. Dry-down: Nail polish remover with a bit of cherry. Dry: Pretty white flowers with a hint of cherry. The wet and dry-down stages were not pleasant, and I'm not too fond of cherry, so I think I'll swap this off.

    Horreur Sympathique

Wet: At first it smelled a little like BO from the musk and honey mixing together, and I was about to give up right away, but then all of a sudden it mellowed out. Dry-down: Now it's all wine and grapes and honey and awesome. Wow. This smells damn good. Dry: Wine, honey, and then everything blended into the background. Wearing this and listening to Benny Goodman is throwing me into a dancing frenzy, haha.

Wet: Gosh, I'm so glad all the manly scents work on me so far. This one is no exception. Dry-down: I can't smell anything distinct, except perhaps the frankincense and a little bit of tonka. But everything else meshes into a cloud of sexy man smell and it's just so heavenly. Dry: After a while it becomes a very CLEAN sexy man. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT My brother's opinion: Overwhelming approval.

    Frau Holle

Wet: I get everything except for the snow and pine, unfortunately. It's a slight bit sour too. Dry-down: My wrists feel cold, but still it smells kind of strange. I think the witch's herbs and musk is kind of overwhelming the scent. After a while, it smells a lot less overwhelming and it's actually quite nice. The pine and snow is still floating in the background. Dry: Actually makes for a pretty nice cologne. I just wish there was more snow and pine. My brother's opinion: Smells like Blue Water cologne.

    Belle Vinu

Wet: Right away I get red sandalwood, rose wood, and a little bit of peach. Dry-down: It sweetens up a lot more (probably because of the osmanthus and peach), but the scent is still mostly the woods. Very nice! It reminds me of peach orchards in the fall. Dry: Soft, flowery peachy goodness. So, so nice.

    Perversion

Wet: Coconut and tobacco. Dry-down: The alcohol and vanilla appears. Well, vanilla and tobacco stay really close to the skin, and the coconut and alcohol are just... floating around me in a cloud of scent. It's wonderful and kind of naughty. Dry: Tobacco, and a wee bit of vanilla and coconut. It's mostly tobacco at this point, but rounded out by a nice amount of sweetness which I personally find to be quite awesome. My brother's opinion: *thumbs up*

    Serpent's Kiss

Seething with passion, yet utterly cold-blooded. Dragon’s blood, vetivert and spice. This scent was a nightmarish overkill of cinnamon and something really stinky.

    For the boys...

I think lighter colognes would be the best, say the Apothecary or Villain. In terms of the Mad Tea Party, have you considered White Rabbit? I think that might be good (though I've never tried it).

    Miskatonic University

Wet: Whoa Irish coffee... and wafers? Well, whatever it is, it smells good. Dry-down: Huh? There's something that smells like... celery, of all things. Disappointment. After a while, I realize it's just the whiskey and the oak/tomes mixing together that made my nose go wonky. As the oak comes out more, the celery disappears and then it's just awesome. Dry: The throw is huuuuge. I have a ginormous cloud of Irish coffee following me. The oak and book notes are close to my skin. I really like this! My brother's opinion: He was surprised at the throw, liked the smell of the coffee, but he thought it smelled like chocolate on my wrist. Thumbs up from him.

    Athens

Wet: At first it smelled medicinal. The honey, myrrh, and red wine all came out, but to my nose, the combination of all three smells a little strange... Dry-down: Weird. Something smells mildly chocolatey. I think it's the combination of the honey and red wine, and maybe the myrrh. I actually like it quite a bit. Oh wait, I think it's the myrrh, because it's a bit medicine-like. Hm. This definitely smells ancient. It makes me think of a robust Greek woman carrying a water jug to the marketplace or something. As this dries, the honey comes to the forefront, with myrrh and red wine in supporting roles. The wine gives it an edge, and the myrrh spices the blend up. This is wonderful! Dry: There's a cloud of honey floating around me, and it's absolutely amazing. Closer to my wrist, the myrrh is still evident, though the red wine has pretty much blended into the background. It leaves something vaguely fruity and fresh though, which is nice. I smell like I just bathed in honeyed water in Ancient Greece or something. I love this blend.

    The Reaper and the Flowers

Wet: Rose, which quickly disappears. Then it's all lilies and carnations. Dry-down: Something's going wrong. It's sour. Dry: Cat pee. Strange, because I get nice pretty whiffs of flowers, but when I sniff my wrist I gag. ETA: After a while, the cat pee disappears and it's just lovely. What the heck.

    Wanda

Wet: Started off as cherry cough syrup (ick), but quickly turned alcoholic. Leather comes out right off the bat, and gives it an edge. Dry-down: On me, this doesn't smell like red wine. It does smell like booze though, but more like a dry wine wine and other assortments of alcoholic beverages. This smells like black leather, but not the shiny kind... this leather has seen a lot of use. The grape emerges after a bit. I like it! There's not much sweetness to it, just boozy leather. When I walk around, I can smell something faintly alcoholic around me, which is kind of awesome. Dry: It's red wine now! And leather! Ooooh this is good. It smells like I had a great time last night... in the dungeon. LOL. My brother's opinion: Not bad. ETA: After several hours, it becomes a delicious red wine.
