    Banned in Boston

At first, in the bottle, the smell hit me like a dirty ton of smutty bricks. "Oh, god, this is far too much!" I thought. I really need to stop smelling things out of the bottle, it's never what they actually smell like. Upon actually USING it, I really dug it...and took all day to figure out why. Then it dawned on me. Cumming. Alan Cumming's fragrance, which as far as I know is totally discontinued and gone now. This is pretty much it. Banned In Boston is a better done, more developed version of Cumming The Fragrance, with a bit of chocolate and booze added. A bit less green, and more brown. I love it. Was quite sad that I had to give up my only bottle of Cumming, but my ex hated it. Now at least I have some semblance of it back for a while, and now it's improved (and far cheaper)! Sorry, just wanted to say Cumming one more time. Hehehe.

    Ded Moroz

Sooo, THIS is the legendary Ded Moroz. In the bottle, it's interesting. Mint and sage in a swirling mass of earthy green, almost vegetable-y. On the skin, the mint fades away, and all the green takes center stage. After a while all the gorgeous woods come out and warm it up a bit. I live at the edge of a forest, in an area where it snows, and I totally get the snowy forest vibe. I wouldn't call it a super cold scent though. More like snowy forest that has thawed slightly in the sun, just before the night where it all freezes up again. I would call it comforting though. Definitely worth the bottle, and I'll probably get more, just out of fear that it won't show up again for years. Anywho, it's a great scent. It's exactly what I'd want to smell while cuddled up with someone at a camp fire, or even better, next to a fireplace while a blizzard rages on outside. ::sighs, and runs off to sniff his arms obsessively::

    The Black Temple Burlesque Troupe

Yummmm. Starts out dark and super-sweet in the bottle. Also a way dark colored oil, black-coffee-colored. Once it dries down on the skin, the over-sweetness fades, and just becomes warm, dark, and bittersweet. I think a lot of Snake Oil fans (and who isn't, really ) will dig it. Well worth the bottle I had to buy of it to get it. Sorry for the short review gang, it's my first one! Plus, like Femme_Fatale, I can't seem to stop smelling my arms for any length of time!
