    Daybreak

The lavender is similar to last year's Waiting, but the coconut & vanilla make this a warmer scent. I really enjoy the coconut and this was wonderful to wear to sleep.
  2. tyche

    Brunch Witches

I tried Brunch Witches this morning and immediately smelled the Crunchberries cereal! Glad to see it wasn't just me. That artificial berry scent fades after about an hour and then it's a pleasant sweet cream. I really don't get any pumpkin, all berries & cream.
  3. tyche

    Honeyed Apple

My first apple scent, too! I really enjoy this, the apple is strong and bright. It's a refreshing light fall scent, a nice change from the darker, heavier Weenies in my collection. The honey comes in after about a half hour and stays for quite a while. There is a nice lingering syrup scent.

    13 nights of Halloween 2016

Forgot to stick this in my questionnaire - I love Penny Dreadful - but I haven't seen the final season yet! paintboxsoapworks/PBSW: I couldn’t help myself and already placed an order with Creeping Horror soap, Red Right Hand lotion, What the Moon Brings lotion & soy wax melts. I would like to try the bath streusel – Indian Summer is a favorite and so is Smoky Jack. Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead: I don’t celebrate Dia de los Muertos. I appreciate the rich traditions, but don’t take part. Ren Faire – I’ve never been to one! I really don’t know what is even available. Fandoms - Harry Potter (when I read the books, I thought I was Ravenclaw, but I’ve come to realize that I am in fact Slytherin), Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (LOVE the fae in this book), Outlander, Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha books, Oliver Potzsch’s Hangman’s Daughter series, Downton Abbey, Great British Baking Show. For collecting, if a cat is involved, then yes. Knitted items – I like mittens, scarves, arm warmers. Nothing too thick or heavy, since we don't get very cold winters in Louisiana. Fall/Halloween icons – Black cats, witches, vampires, ghosts, mummies, skeletons, werewolves, a lot of vintage Halloween things (especially old postcard images), the Headless Horseman, Jack o’lanterns. My next door neighbors get super into zombies and turn their front yard into a zombie graveyard, so their decorations fill my zombie quota for the season. I do like colorful fall leaves and as an Illinois native now in Louisiana, that’s what I miss most. Soaps – I do like bar soaps for the shower and liquid (or foam!!) for hand soaps. Teas – I like black teas best, herbal is also good in fruity flavors. Chai is lovely. Past Weenies – Oh, the Sleepy Hollow collection. That unfortunately was released when I took a bpal break and I missed all of it Others include The Unquiet Grave, Pumpkin Lager, Halloween: New Orleans, A World where there are Octobers Are you a shawl wearer- and if you don't wear one now, would you? - Not really Tell me about LUSH- do you like them? If so, what are some of your favorite things from there? Particularly fond scents or products? Stuff you can't stand? - Never tried Lush. Fizzy bath things are fun, though! So, in this swap, you open a goodie every day. I have seen this gift direction done several different ways, but I am interested in which you are most keen to do. Would you rather: A. have strict direction as to which gift is to be opened on which day(aka the number system)? B.have a few gifts that are meant to be opened on specific days (ex: *this* one is for Halloween night only), but the rest be your choice? C. have a free-for-all, grab bag-style box of goodies, where you are the sole arbiter of your goodie grabbing destiny(everything is wrapped but you pick the gift you want to open each day)? D. be surprised? Haha, just make it easy for me and number them. I live in Japan, is there anything from there you would specifically want? Nothing specific, I'm open to surprises Pumpkin Spice or No Pumpkin Spice? Yay to pumpkin spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cloves...Nay to nutmeg. It's fine if it's sprinkled in with other spices in a baking mix or something, but stand-alone nutmeg is just awful to me. Milk, white, and/or Dark Chocolate? Dark dark dark. And never white chocolate, it's just too sweet for me. Do you like Yankee Candle? Anything you want from there? I prefer waxes or tarts to candles, just because open flame + cats is not the best idea. Anything you have your eye on at BPTP? Very curious about the hair glosses. The Crimson Peak claw polishes are gorgeous, too. Bath & Body Works No thanks Sockdreams Footie socks! The sockness monster and the shark attack are adorable! Baked goods - It's still really hot here, so most baked items wouldn't do well sitting on my porch after delivery. But I'd love baking mixes that I could make myself Anything special you want from the Target dollar spot? Nothing special, but you're welcome to choose something Witch In/Out Sign- No thanks I live in The Netherlands. If there's anything in particular that you'd like to get from here, now's the time to tell! I'm willing to try any yummy treats I'm sort of collecting Lush showergels.Regular collection, but also many Kitchen items. Are there any showergels you'd like to try? I'd be happy to make you samples! I'd rather have soap, I don't really use showergel that much. What is your stance on Glitter? I'm fine with it in decorating & crafts Also, if you have a Goodreads or other online reading log, does it include a wishlist? Otherwise, is it safe to assume books on the 'to-read' section are wishlist items? Or are you less into keeping a physical copy of the book, and instead prefer to turn to the awesomeness of the library to get your to-read need accomplished. And I'll be working on my goodreads all day now It's a bit of a mess because I had used shelfari for years, but had to export all of that to goodreads. I'm making an "on my wishlist" tag for books that I want on my bookshelves at home. Tea lovers, what do you like from Whittard? Never tried. I just looked at their website and I'd try anything (just not decaffeinated, I love my caffeine) how about art? (Small/mailing safe sizes, course) Yes Dearest Pumpkin - how much are you wedded to wishlists, say I have some read once books which I think you might like based on what you've read in the past, but there is nothing of the sort on your current Goodreads "to read" list? Always open to new books, especially historical fiction How do you feel about reading series out of order? Obviously not in situations where the subsequent books are part of the same story arc where you will be totally lost and frustrated if you haven't read all of them, but say, standalone stories which are technically part of a series and which might obliquely reference past books, but not in such as way as to spoil the plot of the book which I happen to have in my possession that you might like. Totally fine with it, as long as I'm not missing something critical. But standalone stories are great - and with mystery/crime series, I usually pick and choose random ones that interest me rather than reading all books in the series. Would you be interested in a Halloween themed short story anthology? Yes Is there a limit to the number of books you'd like to receive? Since I work at a library (but in the local history/genealogy section), I do have access to pretty much any book I want. And I love getting the ARCs when they go to discard. Maybe limit books to 2, since my to-read mountain grows larger every month. Movies in 15 Minutes? I don't know what this is What kind of phone do you have? droid turbo 2 Have you seen the horror film The Babadook? If so, did you like it? Would you want something Babadook-themed? Haven't seen it Those who are amenable to yarnie things--ok, two questions: Any undesirable fibers (wool allergy, vegan so no critter hair at all, etc.)? and how do you feel about cowls/infinity scarves? No scratchy wool please. I do like infinity scarves! Motherhood update: So excited about the update!! I'd really like to try these: A Little More Tea, Funerary Papyri, Lilith & Sekhmet, Holy Trinity, Little Lady Frankenstein, Stonehenge at Dusk, Heel. So who likes incense? and is there a preferred scent? and cones or sticks? Would you like a burner for it? I never use incense, it's just not my thing

    Looking for a Gardenia scent

I love the gardenia in The Lady of Shalott. It is very similar to the gardenia bush in my front yard with a little aquatic mixed in.
  6. tyche

    Lady Lucille Sharpe

I'm trying Lucille today, the first of the 4 CP bottles that arrived yesterday. I can't stop sniffing my wrist! Definitely getting dark, juicy florals, with a hint of dry rose. I'm usually not a fan of rose, but this is very faint, not at all overpowering, and I enjoy it. The scent actually makes me think of the Evil Queen in Snow White, all purples, greens, and reds.

    Switch Witch 15 help

Pumpkin: Yes! I lean more towards the pumpkin baked goods and coffees than candies. Pumpkin soups and pastas are good, too. Booze: Sure, just not a lot. We have a very full liquor cabinet and lose more alcohol to evaporation than actually drinking it. Yellowstone: I'd love to go! Actually, memorabilia from other national parks would be fun, magnets, pens, little stuff like that. Are you a fan of the TV show Penny Dreadful? Yes! I'm getting my husband to watch the 1st season in anticipation of the 2nd season's DVD release. What are your coffee and tea preferences? Do you prefer one, the other, both, or neither (and if it's neither, what about things like hot cider and cocoa)? Loose leaf or bags, whole bean or ground? Is caffeine OK? Any gadgetry you're in need of? Any brands or flavors that you particularly love, loathe, or want to try? I like both, ground coffee and tea bags are just easier for me. I don't have a coffee grinder. Caffeine is good and necessary. What's your sense of humor like? Do you enjoy puns? Play on words? Dirty humor? Dry humor? Who are some of your favorite comedians? Puns usually make me chuckle. Also I stumbled across Iliza Schlesinger on Netflix and loved her jokes. I really like the humor in Parks & Rec. Do you like board games? If so, which ones? Traditional or more unique? (like Settlers of Catan, Small World, Red Dragon Inn, etc) We have regular game nights and play whatever - Uno, Cranium, Exploding Kittens (our newest purchase!), Cards Against Humanity, Gloom, and Betrayal at House on the Hill. Is there anything that you specifically do NOT want to receive? I don't need any scarves, they are my weakness and I have more than one human should ever possess. Please do not enable me. Plain or fun socks? Always fun socks! This should not even be a question, who doesn't want fun socks!?!? Name one (or as many as you would like) thing you would like to learn more about? I'm curious about jewelry making. I really wanted to get into knitting, but it was too hard with all the assistance from cat paws. OH! JAM! I want to start making jam. My sister-in-law just gave us 4 jars of her jam (peach, blueberry, apple, and carrot cake), so I'm inspired to try. What one thing you would like to do more of? I just want more time to do the things that I enjoy. I really like baking, but don't do it as often as I would like. What are some things that fascinate you? Or, What would you like to know more about? Geology. Plants, although outside gardening is difficult with the Louisiana heat. Would you like any cookie butter (just to be clear, store-bought, not home-made, and does contain wheat since it's, y'know, cookie butter)? I like cookie butter, but I prefer the cookies (speculoos cookies) because of their crunchiness. Would you like anything from Lush? Never tried Lush before. Do you prefer hand-made or store-bought? Either. SPICY! Scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being "oh, that's a bit too much black pepper for me" and 10 being "ghost pepper? scorpion pepper? I laugh at these! I love as much heat as you can throw my way!" Where are you? A 5. I do love chili chocolate. What is your BPAL "Holy Grail"? Analog or Digital? Or Both? What scents from other perfume companies are you really wanting to have in your collection and or are just really wanting to test? Companies like NAVA, Arcana, Solstice Scents, Possets, Haus of Gloi etc.....? I haven't tried much else. I'll have to see what samples I have received from other companies, but nothing was as good as BPAL. Do you have an affinity for any specific animals? Kitty-cats! Kitchen Needs or Wants? I always want more spatulas, pot holders, kitchen towels. Below is where the Bold button got stuck and I couldn't unbold so I colored. Makeup! Do you like it, would you want some? If so what brands do you like to wear? I do like it! I usually get Ulta brand (sales all the time), benefit, and too faced. Chocolate fiends ahoy! What kind of chocolate do you like? Do you like any other things in it or just plain good ole chocolate? Dark chocolate is best, good quality milk chocolate with nuts, fruits, pretzels, etc is next. I don't like white chocolate at all. Would you be opposed to receiving a ton of Halloween themed items? Nope, I love them. But I do need more general fall themed decor that can be displayed through November and not put away after Halloween. Would you be interested in any special little thing I might be able to pick up from the Great Lakes Bat Festival this Saturday? Both Janell Cannon (author of Stellaluna and other kids' books) and Fiona Reid (illustrator for lots of animal field guides) will be there, so would you possibly be interested in something like an autographed copy of Stellaluna or one of Cannon's or Reid's other books? Or something from the Organization for Bat Conservation, like a shirt or other swag? Those shirts are cute! What items from the Weenie update interest you, should you have to option of getting anything as a gift from your Witch??? Would you be ok with decants, or bottles? I'm not sure if I'm going to order bottles or not yet from Weenies. I would love to try October, the Vampire Bride, and Apple I. The others didn't grab me. But there are some Liliths that I'm curious about, too. What's your favorite scary movie? I like suspenseful and creepy scary movies, not the blood/pain horror movies. The Skeleton Key is a favorite, The Others is also good. I do like the classic monster movies, too. Blu-ray or DVD? We have both, but I don't know how to use the Blu-Ray Game systems - console or computer? Mac/PC? Which console? WiiU is pretty much the only thing I play...all the Lego games! Working on the Jurassic Park one now. Are you dressing up for Halloween and if so do you need any accessories for if? Not sure yet, but I don't need any accessories if I do. Talk to me about bags, what kinds do you like? Sizes and styles? Bags like purses or bags like shopping bags? If purses, the bigger, the better. With lots of pouches. If shopping bags/totes, I am really set for those. I have numerous sturdy canvas bags for groceries and they usually double as my lunchboxes. What are your favorite fandoms and do you want to receive anything related to such? Harry Potter! Hunger Games, Walking Dead, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Outlander. Anything related would be lovely. What are you planning to order from the Weenies update? I think I answered this somewhere else..but yes, most likely. October, The Vampire Bride, and Apple I. The Last Huzzah of the NY Renaissance Faire happens this weekend and I'm going! Is there anything you might want? (Besides a turkey leg, which won't ship well!) Probably not. Do you like comics or graphic novels? Any issues or collections you want to read? No Do you like fanfic? Would you like a story written for you as part of your gift? What characters/fandoms/pairings etc do you like? Not really into that. Where do you have wishlists at? If you could please link to them or to a post that links to them. (Amazon, Etsy, Think Geek, Pinterest, Sephora, Lush, BPAL/BPTP, Soap Box Company, everywhere and anywhere!) I think I have them all in my signature links. Let's say you have indicated interest in receiving a hand knitted item. What colors, exactly, do you like? If you could provide color swatches here or to pinterest (or something visual), that would help out a lot. Greens, purples. Would you rather receive a bunch of little packages through the round, a couple of medium packages, or one big package at the end? Last year's witch spoiled me with lots of little packages and then a big one at the end. Whatever works for you, witch, I know that getting to the post office can be a pain sometimes. For those of us with out-of-country Witchees, would you be happy with receiving a few packages from local to you merchants (say, through Etsy or equivalent)? Sure. Would Witchees like something from IKEA? (Or any other not always accessible by everyone store?) Not from IKEA. There is no Trader Joe's near me, though, and I miss it. If/when you go to the mall, for which store(s) do you beeline? Charming Charlie's, Francesca's Do you receive any subscription boxes (julep, lootcrate, ipsy, birchbox, etc.)? Lootcrate (more for my husband) , Stitch Fix (they have gift cards, witch!!), True Drool, and graze. Do you like tarts/candles/incense? If so, what type of scents? No candles or incense. Tarts are good, just not in overly floral scents. Is there anything you wish you could have picked up from the Dragon*Con exclusives? I don't know what dragon con is, so no? Is there a GC you've been dying to try but haven't got around to yet? Dorian The questionnaire asked about gold & silver jewelry, but how do you feel about copper jewelry? Do you like colorful jewelry, or do you prefer to keep it neutral? I don't have any copper jewelry, but like the more delicate bracelets that I see on etsy. I do like colorful jewelry. We asked about decorating style, but are you interested in receiving decorations for your home? Are you interested in things that go on the wall or things that go on shelves? Shelves. Office supplies hound? Pens, pencils, journals, any preference, or favorites? Yes, we have such boring pens & pencils at work. Pretty notebooks would be nice, too. Talk to me about socks! Is there anything, dear, dear Witchee, that I can get for you from Sock Dreams? Anything from another place? I've never heard of Sock Dreams before, so I checked it out. Cute stuff! I usually wear ankle socks. I live near a huuuuge candy store. What kind of candy do you like? Gummies? Caramel? Chocolate? Sour? Sugar-free? A little candy is fine, but please don't overload me! Caramel, chocolate, taffy are favorites. No sours or black licorice. 9/26/15 How do you feel about animal products? Not so much animal toys or food, but more like furs, paws, bones, etc. No thanks. The only fur items I own are cat toys made from old fur coats. Are you interested in receiving any restaurant.com gift certificates for your area? I always forget to bring gift cards with me when I go to dinner, so no. 9/27/15 How do you feel about "toys" - stuffed animals and the like? Little toys for my desk are great and I do like the Funko pops. Stuffed animals are endangered in my house though, the puppy can destroy one in less than a minute. Did you see the eclipse last night? How do you feel about astrological events, like eclipses? Any interest in the Blood Moon Eclipse scent from BPAL? Too cloudy here to see anything. The Blood Moon Eclipse scent sounded interesting, but I've never tried any lunacies. Witchee's, how tall are you? And perhaps, what's your arm span (from wrist to wrist)? I'm 5'10" and have no way to measure my arm span right now. How do you feel about the 4 elements? Or are you more of an Asian 5 elements person? Do you feel strongly about any of the elements, like a connection or a preference? No. How do you feel about bento boxes? Is it something you would use if you were to get one? They are cute, but I really wouldn't use it. Scarves, shawls or cowls? Mittens, gloves, fingerless mitts or wristlets? oooh, scarves...I have so many, but still. I like the fingerless mitten/gloves. It hardly gets cold enough here for serious winter gear, but the fingerless ones are perfect. how do you feel about online classes? Like, say, craftsy or creativebug? Or even lynda.com? I feel like I've given money for some classes and then my lazy butt never does anything. 9/29/15 What do we want from Paintbox Soapworks? Everything. All of it. ALL OF IT. More specific than that? Creeping Horror glycerin soap...look at that face!!..., and any products in these scents - Hiraeth, Scrumble, Smoky Jack...absolutely Smoky Jack. If I were to make you some art, would you prefer a frame that hangs or one that sits? And what color/style would you prefer? Maybe a frame that sits. Greens, purples, blues. How do you feel about gourmet marshmallows? They look delicious, but they also look like they would melt into a marshmallow puddle in my mailbox. Are you a slatherer or a dabber? A dabber.

They Shall Eate the Residue of that which is Escaped

I liked this in my decant when I opened it. Once I tested some, it really reminded me of something else that I just couldn't figure out. On my second try today I realized it smells like Avon Skin So Soft, a bug spray that my mom used when I was little. That's not really a bad thing, just not what I expected from a plague of Egypt!
  9. tyche

    Fire Mingled with the Haile

This reminds me a bit of Tempest. There is a quick hint of sweet hay at first and then it goes all aquatic and lovely. I really like this, but wish it had more staying power. I put it on at 8 am and it was gone by 9:30.
  10. tyche

Smite All Thy Borders with Frogges

I definitely get the clean, fresh cucumber scent right away - but then there is some murky green once it's on my wrist. A rich garden dirt is also present and I can pick out the tomato leaf, too. Overall, it's a nice scent, but it was gone within about two hours.
  11. tyche

    Mari Lwyd

I'm very glad I got a blind bottle of this. The cake scent is strong in the bottle, but mellows quickly to a pleasant sweetness. The lavender is lovely. I notice the ale only briefly, and to me it is similar to yeast scent while making a sweet bread dough. So Mari Lwyd makes me think of rolling out King Cake dough - we'll say the lavender is the purple sprinkles!

    Magnificent Autumn

I'm trying this out today; I just received my order on Halloween. In the bottle this is green leaves, almost grassy, very pleasant. When it's on, the greenery morphs into something a little darker, a little heavier. It is very much the scent that you find in the woods when on a late autumn hike. It doesn't smell like dead leaves, it smells like the pretty colored leaves that you find newly fallen on the ground, or ones that you have to reach to pick from the tree. I've only had it on for 2 hours and while it's still there, it's not as strong as I'd hoped it would be. I'm definitely glad to have a bottle, this will be enjoyable throughout November (especially since Louisiana autumns tend to begin this month!)

    Switch Witch 14 Help

My etsy likes My shelfari books (I fixed this so my wishlist is stuff that I haven't read) My BPAL wishlist (I'll take imps, bottles, or decants) Pinterest page Things that I forgot to put in my questionnaire: Can't remember if I mentioned my nail polish love - darker colors (but I think I'm set with purples) especially. I'm having trouble finding a good navy blue. I like glitters in moderation, mostly because they are a pain in the butt to remove. I prefer to use brands that are 3 or 4 free, with the exception of butter London polishes - colors are amazing, but they always chip like crazy for me. While I love pumpkin and autumn food treats, I do NOT LIKE NUTMEG. When I make pumpkin pie, I use cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Nutmeg tends to sneak into many foods around this time of year, unfortunately for me. Also on the ick list is licorice. Answers to SW questions: 1. Pumpkin bombardment is absolutely fine with me! I love any pumpkin bread, cookie, dip, butter, pie, etc. Non-edible pumpkin decor is also wonderful. I've already got a string of pumpkin lights that I have to find a spot for. 2. Canned goods - I like salsas, but I'm hesitant to try homemade canned goods. I don't even want to try canned stuff from our local farmers market. Honestly, I won't even eat it if my family members can it. I'll eat all manner of baked goods, though. No botulism in cookies! 3. Trading post - So far I haven't purchased anything from the trading post. The hair glosses sound interesting, would like to try those. 4. Direct sellers - I really have only been happy with Pampered Chef purchases. I got a little veggie chopper and a garlic press that I use all the time. Not a fan of Mary kay or Avon stuff. I like an origami owl necklace that I got as a gift, but haven't seen any other charms that want to buy. 5. Coffee/tea - Sweet, sweet caffeine. I love coffee and tea equally. Prefer ground beans, as I have a standard old drip Mr. Coffee. I also like starbucks, but don't go on a regular basis because of $$. For tea, a friend in England sent me a monster pack of PG Tips, so I'm set with basic black tea for a while. Flavored teas, especially autumnal kinds, would be appreciated. 6. Kitchen accessories - Love to cook and bake. Any cutesy little kitchen things are great. I have a few fun things like a pink piggy whisk and spatula, a googly-eyed potato scrubber, and farm animal pancake molds. My current spoon rest is chipped, so a new one would be nice. I also like kitchen towels and will use holiday themed towels throughout the year. 7. Creative endeavors - I am only slightly crafty, so I don't need any supplies. 8. Cultural connections - I majored in classical archaeology, and loved Roman and Etruscan history. I even took Latin classes, but only basic vocab stuck with me! I also have worked on my own genealogy a lot (since that is something I help people with at work), so I do feel a connection to Ireland & Germany through the ancestors I've discovered. 9. Commissioned art - If someone wants to draw my fat orange cat, that would be amazing! He deserves it. 10. Free time/hobbies/interests - Reading, watching tv & movies, playing with my cats, dabbling with painting projects, trying not to kill my plants, volunteering with animal rescues, some videogames 11. Tabletop gaming - No gaming for me. 12. DVDS/games - I usually borrow movies from the library and don't feel the need to own them. 13. International snacks/candy - I'll try anything! I like to get international stuff from World Market, that's how I found Jammie Dodgers and Ginger biscuits. 14. Favorite meme - I love Grumpy cat. 15. Facebook - I don't put too much on FB, so I don't think it would be a big help idea-wise. I'm not against friending BPALers, though! 16. RCCC con - Unfamiliar with this event and pretty unfamiliar with comics in general. 17. Contact with witch - since this is my first SW, I'm kinda winging it. I'd like to get to know both my witch & witchee, so contact once or twice a week will be good. 18. Puzzles/riddles - I do like crosswords and some puzzles. I am awful at "unscramble the letters" puzzles. 19. Music formats - I have CDs for my car and digital for my phone, kindle, and non-ipod thing. I use Amazon's music store. 20. Current annoyance I haven't dealt with - cleaning my closet and arranging my clothes/donating unused items, not really something a witch can assist with 21. Good luck trinkets - Sure! 22. Superstitions - No, can't think of anything 23. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, so don't bother with this one. 24. Apples - I love apple cider and I miss living near apple orchards. Fake apple-y candy is not always great, but I do like the caramel apple pops (think tootsie-roll makes them) 25. Fabric aversions - Wool is scratchy, so I'd prefer not to have it in scarves or gloves/mittens 26. Christmas ornaments - I think I mentioned in my questionnaire that I like somewhat bizarre ornaments. I'm not going to be putting up a tree this year, though. 27. Hello Kitty is cute and I liked her when I was little. Accessory-wise, I wouldn't wear anything Hello Kitty, but something that I can decorate my work desk with would be ok. 28. I think a cooking class would be fun. With no financial restrictions, let's just say a cooking class in Italy. 29. Poetry - I enjoy some poets, like Keats, Poe, Coleridge, Dickenson (all those high school english classes!), but I don't find myself picking up books of poetry. I do like when jewelry or other accessories incorporate some poetry. 30. Disney - I like the Aristocats and Winnie the Pooh. Like the Hello Kitty, I wouldn't wear anything with the characters. 31. How do you feel about cute things as decorations or accessories? (Example: Would you enjoy this stationery - or do you prefer elegant/creepy/neutral stuff?) Oh my gosh, those are some fat birds on the stationery. I LOVE FAT BIRDS. I also like fat cats and chubby panda bears. Squishy animals are fantastic (and yes, I squeeze my chunky cat King Louie!) Since this is the Halloween SW, I also like the creepy stuff. 32. Something I'd really like to receive from my witch - As my 1st SW, I don't have any expectations. Anything will make me happy. But witch - if you don't send at least one cat-related item, I will be somewhat disappointed! 33. Music shuffle - My amazon music played: Foundations by Kate Nash Counting Stars by One republic Samson by Regina Spektor Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis Don't Shut Em Down by Flogging Molly Howl by Florence and the Machine (and I had to stop the shuffling and listen because I LOVE this one so much) Borrowed Time by A Fine Frenzy Sleep to Dream by Fiona Apple Kiss You to Death by Alkaline Trio Come Pick Me Up by Ryan Adams 34. Tarot/runes/divination - Nah, I don't really use this 35. Celeb crushes - I do like Matt Damon, but please no posters or anything! 36. Glitter - I like it as long as it's stuck to something, and not my face - no glittery eyeshadow or lip stuff. Glitter nail polish is fine. 37. Time periods - 1930s - 1940s. I have so much respect for the ladies who just got stuff DONE then. Figured out how to feed their families, got jobs during the war and all while looking stylish. I'd like to think that I've inherited some of the strength of both my grandmothers who had some trying times then, but pulled through. 38. Quotes - I never remember quotes! 39. Book formats - Real books. I do have a kindle, but use it more for movies & music than books. 40. Smut - No 41. Ebooks - I'd prefer books, used are fine. 42. Custom perfume - I need to sniff more BPAL to find out what I like before I get a custom blend! 43. Photography - Landscape, flowers. If it includes purple colors, I can easily find a home for it. 44. Favorite Halloween animal/decoration - Tough one, so many of the classic movie monsters are my favorites. Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein, and of course, witches & black cats! One of my favorite decorations is a witch figurine, she rotates, her eyes flash, and plays creepy music. 45. I'm set with most makeup. Nail polish is good, never tried nail wraps. I use lip stains/balms more than any lipsticks and go with more natural colors, no bright pinks or reds. 46. Profanity is fine, especially if it's funny. Off-color humor is sometimes ok, I just don't like when jokes become mean-spirited. I like to laugh with, not at. 47. My hair is way too short for hairsticks. 48. No larping. 49. I will not eat anything buggy! While I like breakfast bacon and BLTs, I don't really get the bacon craze with chocolate, candy, etc. 50. I expressed my concerns with canning above. Also, it's still really hot here and anything my witch sends will sit in my mailbox all day until I get off work, so I worry what the heat may do to jammy goodness. 51. Nail polish - Usually I use Ulta brand or OPI, sometimes Essie. butter London chips instantly on me. Glitter is ok, but no sands or textures. 52. Halloween plushie yes! 53. Japanese items - I'd like to try the green tea kitkats or other fancy kitkats. 54. GC scents - My imp of Fae is almost empty, but I'm saving my money for weenies. 55. Lush - Never heard of them, but their bath bombs look neat. The avocado one is interesting. 56. Getaways - I'd love to take a trip, but am saving my vacation days for Christmas. 57. T-shirts - size large, crew neck or v necks. Lightweight fabrics are good, but not so lightweight that bras are visible! 58. thinkgeek - some of the grumpy cat stuff is cute 59. zombies - Yes! 60. Arm warmers - I actually have a few on my etsy wishlist, if you want to get an idea of the styles I like. The AC is always full blast at work, so I'd appreciate some just below the wrist, maybe to the elbow. 61. Affinity with certain animals - 62. Paintbox soapworks - Haven't tried anything from them, but would like to. Sorbettos and lotions look nice. Scents like Punkie night and gingermilk might be yummy. 63. I don't think I'm ok with someone showing up unannounced. I like to have warning time to frantically clean when I have company. Also, my cat Zelda gets very growly when someone unknown is at the front door (sorry UPS guy!) She's a good little watchcat. 64. No ravelry. I'm just a beginner with quilting/sewing. 65. Sock dreams - haven't ordered anything from them. Short socks are more my style, especially the ankle ones. I never wear long, up to the knee socks. 66. Knitted items - dishcloths would be nice, no real preference for fabrics. I've got some reds in my kitchen. 67. Amazon WL - I don't think it is, but I haven't linked to it, so no worries witch. 68. Raw cream caramels - I would prefer pasteurized. 69. Incense - I don't use incense. I really don't do candles either. My SIL sold scentsy for a bit, so I have a warmer and some scents - rarely use it though. 70. Kitchen spices - a few years ago, I found this chai tea spice mixed with sugar and it was delicious. Wouldn't you know, I can't find it anywhere! I do like general spice mixes and usually make my own taco seasoning. If you've got something tasty, I'll try it! 71. Handmade stationery & cards - I don't write many letters, but I do send cards sometimes. I wouldn't use a quill pen 72. scale of 1-10 heat - Hmm, the hottest I like is jalapeno flavored stuff, so maybe 3 or 4? A restaurant here has a spicy chicken sandwich with chipotle mayo, pepper jack cheese, and sliced jalapenos - I eat it and love it, but it does make me cry! 73. Favorite Halloween candy - If there is chocolate, I'm in! I like twix, milky way dark, payday, junior mints, raisinettes, mounds, m&ms. Candy corn is a winner for me, just not the kind with the brown stripe. And I love the mallowcream pumpkins, but just can't bring myself to buy a whole bag - way too much sugar! 74. Cozy footwear - I have enough slippers, but slipper socks would be nice. The kind with the grippy dots would probably be best, I'm prone to slipping on my wood floors. 75. what do you look forward to most about fall - I like the clothes - sweaters, dresses with tights and boots, hoodies, puffy vests for the really chilly days. Once October starts I begin to scare myself silly by watching spooky movies and reading ghost stories. The baking gets yummier with pumpkin, apple, cinnamony warm desserts. I also drink gallons of apple cider. 76. My kindle and phone both have cases. If I change them, I won't be able to find them. 77. beauty accessories - I have makeup brushes out the wazoo. I'm interested in trying a glass nail file. 78. If a giant box arrived this week and I had no other communication from my witch for the rest of the SW season, I might be a wee bit disappointed. Sending one box is absolutely fine if witch still checks in and says hello. 79. Halloween PJs - PJ shorts are better for me. I'm tall and pretty much all PJ pants are too short on me! Size large, and I do like old navy's PJ shorts. 80. M&Ms - Yes, but only milk or dark chocolate. Peanut, pretzel, peanut butter are good, but I'm scared of the seasonal flavored ones. 81. Wax melts - not really 82. Streaming music - I use amazon prime's free music and free pandora, so I don't need any gift subscriptions. 83. Lilith BDay scents - I"m holding off on placing an order until weenies come out. Depending on how many of those I want, I may get one Lilith. I'd like to try Amicitia, Blueberry Picking, Mermaid, and Venustas. 84. Sugar skull cubes - These are cute 85. Skin care - I wash with indigo wild's facial cleanser or, on lazy days, with some kind of Yes to cucumber/blueberry/grapefruit wipes. I moisturize with a night cream (whatever is on sale at Ulta usually). I think I covered body lotions somewhere here before. I like lip balms (in sticks or tubes, not really pots). 86. Salem souvenirs - OOOH! I'd love to go to Salem, and anything touristy would be fun - keychains, magnets, coasters. 87. Would you be interested in any of the items in LisaNut's etsy shop? - That little mini witch hat is very cute. 88. Spiders (cute knit kind) - Sure, but just know that they would become cat toys whether I like it or not. 89. Decorative pillows - A couple of months ago I found an epic pillow clearance sale and may have gone overboard. I can't say no to a 4 dollar pillow apparently. 90. Any kind of bags - big, small, medium, purse, grocery, etc? Not really. 91. Is there anything special coming up in your life? No big plans here, other than a visit from my mom in October. 92. One scent from Metamorphosis: Eastern Coma Lilith: Amicitia GC: Highwayman 93. NYCC? - Don 't know what they have there 94. Tokyo Game Show - Also don't know what this is, the nerd is stronger in my husband than in me 95. Would you enjoy any of these couple rings? Or anything from the same store's Halloween collection? Not the couple's rings, but some of the cuffs are cute - the hocus pocus one, the Harry Potter "mischief managed" and "I solemnly swear..." 96. I'm not a big drinker, and I rarely mix my own drinks. 97. Flavored sugar cubes - Maybe a few to try. I usually don't sugar my tea & coffee, though. 98. Jamberry nails - Some of the Halloween ones are very cute, the little Frankstein, the jack o'lantern 99. If you had to choose one currently available book (used-but-obtainable counts if you do used) costing $20 or under for your Witch to buy for you, what would it be? Hmm, there is one that's actually $22 on amazon, but it does have some cheaper used prices - The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death 100. Are there five things under $25 at Birchbox you would like? Wild Honey Apothecary Pumpkin Cocoa Mud Skyn Iceland Icelandic relief eye pen Blowpro Blow Up Thickening Mist Stila Eye Shadow in Kitten Benefit They're Real mascara 101. Do you want anything from the Fatherhood update at the Post? Ooooh, New Orleans scents! Captain Lilith and her First Mate, Mornings in New Orleans, and Pralines & Powdered Sugar sound lovely. 102. Street art! Into it? Not into it? Meh? I like it 103. If you could only pick one note that you love (e.g. Vanilla, Orange, Lavender, Rose) & you could only wear/have perfume, etc in that note, what would it be? I have NO clue. I've never tried any single notes, so this is a tough question for me! 104. NYCC exclusives: The Gas Lamps' Flare, maybe.

When your favorite GC blends are discontinued

I have not! Lightning does sound like it may be the closest. Jolly Roger has the leather and rum, so it might be different in a good way. Thank you!
  15. Discovered a forgotten imp of this tucked away in my writing desk. It is totally a root beer float with french vanilla ice cream. Mmmm. I've probably had this imp for 4 or 5 years, and it has held up well.
