    Midway

I wasn't going to get this one because it sounded too much like Jailbait to me, which, no. I don't want to smell like a 7 year old girl. I was so...so dreadfully wrong. I honestly don't know how Beth does it. This is delicious. In the bottle it's one big, juicy caramel apple with a hint of cotton candy & other sweets in the background. Not at all cloying or nasty-sweet like I thought it might be. Wet on the skin the caramel LEAPS out at me. It's a saucepan filled with caramel chunks that are slowly warming & melting on the stove. And just underneath is the juicy bite of a Granny Smith apple. I honestly don't smell anything else - no cotton candy, no nothin. I want to eat my freaking wrist. This dries down to a rich, warm, soft, comforting caramel on me. The apple bite stays very, very light in the background & the tiniest bit of cotton candy comes out to say Hi. It faded after a couple of hours, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. I think this would be an excellent fall scent as well. Really reminiscent of making caramel apples in the kitchen.

    Freak Show

Holy Crap. This is freaking amazing. When I opened the bottle, my nose went into overdrive with all the rich smells. In the bottle I smell chocolate and something smokey...not sure what. But there is way more going on than I'm first smelling here. Wet on the skin it starts developing - there's chocolate, yes, but also a creamy undertone like vanilla that's there, too. There's also a rich, decadent foody smell, maybe fig?? And a bit of powdery softness, too. On dry down, some floral notes come out, but they're not cloying on me like most florals are. It's like a very soft, meek flower coated in vanilla & chocolate. Sweet, but not overly so. Foody, but not overly so. This is a perfect scent to me. I want to EAT it.

    Nine Mysteries

This was a lovely surprise in my latest order! In the bottle it was MINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! screaming at me in a loud, cold voice. It smells just like those swirly peppermint hard candies or a big peppermint stick you'd get at Christmas. I'm not a minty person at all, so this isn't boding well. It smells exactly the same wet on the skin, but with a slightly creamy undertone that softens it up a bit. Still very cold & crisp, but not quite as harsh. I still don't think I can handle it, though. My eyes are starting to water.

    The Apothecary

Okay - I'm testing this one on my right wrist today. Intrigued by the description, I got this on the forum. In the bottle it honestly reminds me of an old-time drugstore. Very clean, sharp, slightly medicinal, but not overly so. Makes me think of very, very clean floors & counters & bright fluorescent lights. Wet on my arm it goes immediately green & wet. Delicious, herbally green - not dank woodsy green. Think medicinal herbs. I can't smell the tea, really, but I think I'm picking up some ginger...? Now I'm picturing a freshly mown meadow filled with long grasses & wild herbs & leaves. Very, very fresh & springy. Fantastic. After about an hour, this is GONE. I smell pretty much nothing at all. I'm sad about this. I thought this was going to be a great everyday scent, but, like a lot of oils, they don't last on me at all. My innards must be scent-deficient or something, cause they suck it right up. Boo.

    Chaste Moon 2005

I'm testing Chaste Moon today & I'm in LOVE. In the bottle it was very quiet to me. Soft, light - almost like it was hiding behind something until it could get out of the bottle. I've been having trouble finding a good light scent, so I was intrigued by it. Wet on my wrist it exploded into a gorgeous creamy floral smell. I don't do well with florals, so I was very hesitant. However, almost immediately, the flowers died down and a fruity scent came to the front. Very bright & tart. It sat up at the front of my nose - not assaulting my sinuses at all. After about 5 minutes, a really rich, creamy note came slithering forward. This is GORGEOUS. Just enough floral that I can tell it's there, but it's not the dominant note at all. It's almost a citrus creme to me. This is unbelievable & I love it. Now I just have to find me a 5 ml......
