I had a Maths Techniques exam yesterday, which was a bitch-and a resit. Half the group failed last year, me included, so I really hope I passed this time. What uni do you study at? I'm at Hertfordshire. We have our own observatory

You do Astrophysics? So do I! Funny that there should be two UK astrophysics students who are madly into BPAL here...I think ellemir is another one, she used to study astrophysics as well.

And I do feel for lil' Pluto. In fact, I even drew up a little comic about the solar system planets being invited to an exclusive party and Pluto wasn't allowed in because he was no longer on the VIP (very important planets) list! 'Your name's not down, you're not coming in!' I also portrayed Earth as being menopausal and having hot flushes (what we call global warming!) maybe I should put it online some day!

This is a great post, and a great way of thinking about orders and economising and organising for BPAL ordering. I too will not be put off my purchases-I will partake in group orders and US CPs (maybe will-call ones?) but that won't stop me buying myself, I still am a Lunacy lover and will continue getting those, but they will probably come with lots of other bottles instead of just two others. And yes, I too am a student so I'm in the same boat as you, money-wise!

I know. It's hard when a pet's life is so short...I've lived with my cats for most of childhood so it's particularly painful this time because there's no furry company. It'll hurt even more when I go home...the hardest thing is getting back to doing my work tonight-it has to be done, but it's really hard when this has just happened.

I don't normally say much on blogs here these days...but I'm so glad that I'm not the only person with normal hearing who watches English-language TV with subtitles! I thought I was the only one but I'm very happy to see that I'm not. I sometimes find it hard to catch words when people who don't speak clearly or who speak too fast say something, or when there's talking when there's loud noise or music in the background...so subs are great for that!

Awww, I'm sad that this drama is making you feel bad. I'm not sure if you read my blog entry, but I hope I'm not responsible for you feeling that way.

Usually drama of this kind doesn't affect me so much (it depends on the intensity of course. This is nothing compared to that wank meme ) but because I'm PMSing it's gotten to me more than usual, I admit.

I have seen your blog and I admit that it's made me think. I must say that I don't hate you for it, not at all! The internet is a free 'country' so to speak, and blogs are for opinions of all kinds, for getting things off your chest, and not everyone will agree with every opinion out there, that's human nature. I'm still wondering whether to agree with your analysis or not but I personally have had very good dealings with Michele and have had good luck with some of her scents (not everything from H&E is wonderful but the scents that work are fantastic) but if these claims you are true (and seemingly backed up by Beth) maybe I should stay back a bit for a while? But I can't decide. My nose thinks one way, and my brain the other.

I'm especially conflicted about the H&E custom scent order-I've spent 30 bucks on it and I was hoping to get scents made for me and to make them public. Now I'm a little uneasy about it even though the concept is so promising...I don't think I can get a refund but do I even want one?

Chris was an awesome Doctor, I agree! But I'm also aware that they replaced him with David Tennant, since I saw the special Christmas episode with him in it. I think he's going to be good as well, but I'll have to wait and see!

Dreams are fantastic! I've been having some good dreams recently-the sort of dreams you don't want to wake up from. I have these dreams where I'm reading a book or watching a movie, and I end up inside the story or the movie, and then I'm told by the characters that i'm going to be shown somethings that will bring great wisdom, or I'm about to see something that will change my life, or will look into the archive of the world's ancient knowledge...or see clues as to what will happen in the future. And then of course I wake up.

The only dreams I hate are the end of the world nightmares. I had one recently where the earth's crust totally disintegrated and volcanoes erupted everywhere and I saw it happen and was terrified. That was nasty. I've had a lot of apocalyptic nightmares-especially ones where I (and sometimes my family and friends) either survive the cataclysm, or I somehow bring it on because of some stupid mistake...

Well said! I agree with you...thing is my mum doesn't mind me having contacts around the world, she just thinks I have too many and that I should stop 'sending things to them' (ie swaps, sales, switch witches etc) and that I communicate more to them on forums and email and lj than actually talking to my real friends and domestic contacts (which isn't true! Although my RL social life leaves much to be desired...that's another story though.)
