  1. Wow this scent is strong.

In the imp I smell leather.

On the skin the leather is amped, and the herbs underneath give it a very sharp quality. Almost makes me want to sneeze, it's so strong.

Not my kind of scent, even though I normally like leather.

  2. So far, this is my OMG scent out of all the CD I've tried so far.

I LOVE what this does on the skin.

Firstly, there is a warm, slightly smoky cinnamon. It makes me feel warm all over. As it dries, the smoke really amps up, and then the last stage, the cinnamon warmth comes back.

This is SUCH a sexy scent. I loves it so!

  3. Wet, this blend was LOVE. The amber and teak were just perfect.

Drydown, the cedar and carnation came up, and.. it just was off to me. I think it was going from 'sweet' to 'spicy' just didn't work right for me.

Dry: Just cedar now. Makes me think of mothballs.

  4. Helloooo Rose!

Definitely a rose floral mix. Rose is the dominant note in the bottle and wet on skin.

On drydown, the ylang ylang comes out, and turns this into a very heady floral. Scent is so strong it's giving me a headache.

  5. All I smell in the bottle and wet is the clove. It's making me hungry for a spiral-sliced ham.

Drydown: the patchouli is coming out.

And less than 5 minutes after I put it on - it's gone. Wait, no, there's the clove, close to the skin.

    Meh. Not my thing.

  6. In bottle: sharp-smelling wet dog.

On skin: wet dog is still there. Doesn't seem to want to dry off or go away, just sitting there on my wrist dripping, panting, and generally being a wet dog.

Dry: It's dried down to a rotting fruit smell. Oh the joys.

  7. Ugh.

There is something in this blend other than the lilies which does not like me. This blend smells like.. burnt plastic.

After a while though, it seems to have calmed down, but there's still a wierd plasticky smell to it. Oh well. Off to the swap pile.

  8. I'm.. shocked.

This is the first time I've tried a scent with lily in it and not had it amp up on me to be all LILYLILYLILY.

This is a lovely scent. The lily and rose stay in the background and the green scents are what come to the fore. I like this.

  9. I get a lot of Glowing Vulva, just much much sweeter thanks to the caramel in this.

On the skin, now it's teaky creamy caramel. Can't really smell the amber or musk, although I think they keep the cream and caramel from taking over completely and going HIIIIIIIII!! WE'RE SWEET!!

    It's nice, but I don't know if I want a full bottle.

  10. Somehow I missed the lily note in here. I have tried pretty much all the BPAL lily scents, and I haven't liked one. However, I keep trying these out, apparently I haven't learned my lesson.

    *puts wrist under electron microscope*

It is a dark, desolate lunar landscape. Focusing in closer, things you might have taken for craters are in fact bodies. What could have happened? Suddenly, from opposite sides of the scene come Lily and Rose, racing at each other.

    *cue Mortal Kombat music*

Rose uses Thorn Throw! (Lily loses 300 points)

Lily gets up and launches Sound of Fury! Rose partially counters by using Petal Flurry. (Rose loses 200 points)

Lily continues with Special Attack Fronds of Steel! (Rose loses 600 points)

Rose attacks with Petal Knives, but Lily defends with Petal Fan, and attacks with Special Attack Stamen Torpedo Launcher! (Rose loses 200 points)

Rose does not get up again. LILY IS THE WINNER!

*removes wrist from electron microscope* And there you have what happens to Dyan Moon on me.

  11. In imp: Whoa sharp fennel/anise. Ugh. Not a promising start.

Wet on skin: Whoa sharp fennel/anise. The hemp is starting to come in, too, which does not make this blend any better.

Dry on skin: Whoa sharp fennel/anise/hemp. I'm waiting for the pomegranate to come in, but no. Never makes an appearance.

Le sigh. I'm apparently not meant to like any of the Wunderkammer.

  12. Wet: *sniffs* Is someone baking a ham? *sniffs again* Oh, is that /me/? Okay, not exactly what I want to smell like right off the bat.

Drydown: Clove totally goes away, and the cinnamon takes over. Hard. I don't smell like a red-hot (like I did with the cinnamon Snake Pit, whose name is currently eluding me), but it's definitely cinnamon and it's STRONG.

Dry: Still cinnamon. I get no vanilla from this at all, nor do any of the other notes make an appearance (except for the clove at the beginning).

Yet another for the swap pile. So far, I'm thinking my BigAssHUGEOrder I was planning on making specifically for the CD won't be so bigass or huge.

  13. So I finally get my Acts V and VI in the mail. First up is the Blasphemare Reliquary.

Wet: CEDAR HOMG. Yes, I know there is no cedar in here, but for some reason, all the resins blend together and make cedar. It's a very sharp, biting cedar, too.

Dry: Now it smells like rosy cedar. And it's also started to give me a headache. So sadly, this is going on the swap pile.

  14. My god, I /love/ this scent.

As a professional massage therapist, I tend to stay away from oils because they're sticky and *goes into MT speak* I usually get too much glide for depth. (I usually slide over the muscles too easily, and am forced to work hard to get into the muscles.)

However, this oil is LOVELY. It's not sticky, it dries to a workable consistency, and yeah, I just love it. The first time I used it I was a little taken aback by the scent, because I'm not used to oils being so strongly scented, but once I got used to it, it was great. This is very grounding, and when I have it used on me, I can definitely feel my sense of balance returning. The prominent notes for me are the patchouli and clary sage.

I'll definitely have to get a full bottle of this.
