    Peach IV

Golden peach, Egyptian amber, myrrh, ho wood, frankincense, burgundy pitch, musk seed, and oudh. This is such a lovely scent. First on, I get the peaches and ho wood, which I just adore. About five minutes in the frankincense and amber kick in and warm up the woodsy peach with a slight spice. This scent has moderate throw and lasts about 3 hours or so. This was my favorite of the peaches.

White Peach and Incense Hair Gloss

White peach, champaca flower, and frankincense. Where the bath oil is peaches and raw cane sugar, this is peaches and spice. The frankincense warms up the peaches while the champaca flower sweetens it up just a touch to prevent it from going too dark. It's a lovely scent and a nice counterpoint to the bath oil.

    La Primavera Atmospheric Spray

Tuberose, linden blossom, jasmine, rosehip, oakmoss, pink heather, white rose, and sugar cane, with plum, lemon tree, and orange blossoms. This is the third part of my Primavera day. After having a bath and putting on perfume, I sit on the bed and spray this into the air. As with the bath oil, I really get the florals first, and then as the scent ripens, the other notes come in. It's not that these other notes become dominant, they support the florals as the dominant note, but (as with the other two) ground the florals. I would also say they darken the florals just a bit, tempering their sweetness. Again, I would pick the dominant floral as the tuberose/white rose, but again, it's more that it's slightly more dominant, rather than THIS IS ROSE and here are her friends. I get a bit more citrus from the spray than I have from the oil or perfume. It gives the spray more of a fresh floral feel than the earthy/green florals of the other two. I love this set.

    Sugared Peach Bath Oil

This reminds me of a bowl of ripe peaches lightly sprinkled with raw cane sugar. It's not overly sweet and cloying (which was a concern of mine; I can't take overly sugary scents) but this was just perfect. I wish I had gotten a second bottle!

    New Catchup.

What's one random thing you really like and one random thing you really dislike? Dislike: people who have enough time to pull out in front of you but can't get up to speed in time. (AKA If you can't get it up, don't whip it out!) Like: french fries dipped in a Frosty. Are there any herbs that you haven't been able to lay hands on that I could send you? There's an herbal shop I really like here in NYC called Flower Power that has quite a wide selection. No thanks. If there are no "witchy" shops near you, is there anything I can pick up for you from Enchantments? a half ounce of helping hand, La Flamme, Love Healing, Love Messenger, Sagittarius, Saint Jude, Taurus. Goona Goona incense, Hey Witchee! I want to send you a delivery. a) Are you OK with "special deliveries"? *waggles eyebrows* Yep. b)Is the address in your questionnaire the best place to reach you for said deliveries? Yep. c) If the delivery requires a phone number (as say, some florists do) would you be OK with that information being tracked down by your Witch or asked of you anonymously? Yep. What are some things you are OK with receiving gently used or homemade, and some things you absolutely do not want if they are gently used or homemade? Books, CDs, makeup only if just sampled are all okay with gently used/homemade. I can't really think of anything I wouldn't be okay with that was gently used/homemade. I live near a Mast General Store. It has lots of vintage-y toys, southern foods (jams, jellies, spices) and vintage candy. Is there anything I can get for you? that raspberry champagne thing sounds good. Do you have any Fall or Halloween traditions? Not really. Ninjas or Pirates? Why do I have to choose? I prefer to kill like a ninja but party like a pirate. Witchee, would you like it if I made you a "mix tape" of songs that I think you might like? And if so, would you prefer mp3 or CD format? Yes, and mp3 please I know it is totally the wrong season (for most of us), but do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you like to grow? *sighs* I realistically will be gung-ho about it at first, but then get bored with it, so no thanks. I'm about to be near a Lush store next week, is there anything you might like from there? No thanks. Songs that you keep meaning to buy but never get round to it? I'm going to plead the 5th on this one. Movies that you love but forgot to put in your questionaire? See below question. Name one movie you keep meaning to buy, but just never get around to getting? Psh. I barely watch movies PERIOD. That question would read more accurately 'What movie do you keep meaning to watch, but never get around to watching' and my answer would be ALL OF THEM. Any favorite Bath & Body Works scents/products? Not really - I'm trying to stay away from parabens and the like, so only organic/ethically sourced stuff for me! Haus of Gloi is offering custom perfumes - would you like one? What would your ideal blend be? Dragons Blood, Leather, Leaf Pile and Sandalwood. I wonder what Dirt, Lavender and Leather would smell like. Dirt, Dragons Blood, Chrysanthemum and Leaf Pile. Apple, Dirt, Chrysanthemum and Sandalwood. Sage, Apple and Red Musk. Clean Musk, Leather, Leaf Pile and Chrysanthemum. ETA: OMG HOW DID I MISS THEIR WOODSMOKE NOTE.. so ultimate blend would probably be Woodsmoke, Leather, Leaf Pile, and either Mahogany or White Oak or Sandalwood. I'm also seriously looking at Brown Sugar/Dark Patchouli/Leather/Vanilla Bean. *repeats mantra* I have a Witchee to shop for, I have a Witchee to shop for, I have a Witchee to shop for.. MUST NOT BUY ALL THE THINGS. Any Bath, Body or nutritional type items you would love to try from a Natural and Organic food store (similar to Whole Foods) that you don't buy because they are a bit too pricey? Don't think so at this time. Witchee, will you be gone from your normal mailing address at any point during the round? Not that I'm expecting. Are you a Disney fan or does even thinking about Disney make your head hurt? If you're into Disney, would you like something from the Happiest Place on Earth? no thanks. dear witchee, would you, could you use an electric candle warmer? i'm talking something like this. I could, actually. Would prevent kitty accidents. OK, so those of you who said you wouldn't mind receiving (sneakily packaged!) beer or wine: Tell me of your taste preferences. Dry/sweet? Red/white? Lager/ale/porter/stout? Fruit? Spice? Hops? Sour (brettanomyces, etc)? I'm kinda picky on beer.. but LOVE Crispin apple cider. Meh on Fox Barrel. Enjoy lambics. I'm trying to think of some of the beer brands I've tried and liked.. Abita Brewery's Purple Haze is nice.. as for wine, I prefer white and sweet. Never tried mead. Do you lust after some new socks/tights? No to tights, yes to socks. Am kinda wanting the pink/black sockfeets from BPTP, but I dunno how they'd feel on my muscular calves. :/ are there any of MeiLin's books (e-book or print) you'd be interested in? Any and all, in print please. Are you a gamer (of any sort - video, casual, tabletop) and are there any games you want? Honestly, I'd like to get into Portal. Other than that, no. My last game console was an Atari. Would you be interested in BPTP CANDY? *drools* Yes please! Would a Starbucks gift card make you happy or do you prefer your local place? I'd rather have a Caribou Coffee gift card, even though I work right across the parking lot from a S'bucks. CUSTOM-Made Pottery?? yea or nay? coffee mugs, rustic or more elegant? a set of bowls? soap dish? bird feeder? something alltogether different? and lastly, good colors for glazes...? YES! The coffee mug would be a bit wasted on me since I'm not a hot caffeine fan, but a set of bowls would be smashing! A little altar bowl would be nice too. Oh, a small size lidded jar for my other bathroom for cotton ball storage would be nice. Colors? Bowls I like the pop of bright color inside, black on outside.. altar bowl would be earth tones/green.. lidded jar? Surprise me. Do you have a forum buddy? Someone who knows you and/or your tastes well enough to answer questions on your behalf? Nope. I'm pretty quiet. If you are on Livejournal, would you appreciate LJ stuff like paid time, custom userheads, stuff like that? If you are NOT on LJ but are on other sites that have similar paid-for services (Flickr, for example?) would you, and what are those sites/etc? No thanks. I am on LJ, but I use it primarily for buying and sometimes selling. A question, witchees: if you are into tarot, what is your favorite card? I am into tarot, but I don't have a favorite. And another question: would you like your own set of handmade rune stones or worry stones? Rune stones would be nice. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cider, or none of the above? Hot chocolate, peppermint tea (which I have plenty of), cider, coffee in that order when it's cold enough for said beverages. Which, being in GA, is maybe a month out of the year? Gum, hard candy, soft candy, or none of the above? Caramels! Love caramels! Then hard candy, then gum. Teaberry gum, however, jumps to the top of the list. Loose tea or tea bags? Do you need anything for your loose tea? (Filters, presses, etc.) Not a big tea drinker, so neither. If you like tea, what kinds? Mighty Leaf Iced Tea is AWESOME. Any flavor, I don't care. Do you do Goodreads or LibraryThing or a site like that? If so, can I see your to-read list, please? No, although I probably should in order to keep my 'gonna read sometime' list somewhat organized. Zombies; Yay or Nay? Not really. If you have cats, do they like catnip toys? Sure. How do you feel about wearable knitted lace? Shawls, wraps, and the like? I think it's pretty but I don't have anywhere to wear things like that. Looking at the warehouse, I notice that our lovely Greenwoodtree is able to do chart readings and/or forecasts at a very reasonable rate. Is this something you would want? Sure! I live in Japan. Anything you would be interested in from there? Yep. Candy Corn: yes, no? *hisses like a vampire exposed to holy water* (no.) WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF!!! movies, comedians, black humor, your partner, a comic strip? what? Russell Peters, Gabriel Iglesias, Damn You Autocorrect, Something*Positive You are meeting up with someone on a casual lunch/early afternoon thing. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc? My brown plaid booties, dark wash jeans, bright blue short-sleeved button-up shirt. One of my sets of chainmaille earrings. You are to be let loose in a clothing store of your choice, to pick a full outfit, down to the shoes, the accessories, etc. and things would be altered to fit you if needed. What store would that be, and what would you look like? Bettie Page clothing, a cute circle skirt dress maybe. I dunno. You open a box from the post office to reveal the 3 things you want most right now. What are they? (caveats: size doesn't matter, but they have to be tangible/buyable). Erh. Coming back. The end of this month I'm going to Scarefest, the big horror and paranormal con in Kentucky. (www.scarefest.com) If I were your witch, is there anything you would like from there (skull jewelry, art prints from an artist that catch your eye, etc), or anyone whose autograph or photo or such you would dig? Well, if they had a list of vendors there, I might be able to tell you. What is your holy grail "I'd kill to just have one drop in an imp" bpal scent? Actually, I think I have all my current holy grail scents. Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting? Uh, I don't think so. Was kind of disappointed in this year's offerings from BPAL, but am eagerly awaiting the BPTP side. if you wear earrings, do you have pierced ears? Yep! Just one hole, though. I am considering piercing a second. Or maybe my nose.

    Fall '12 Switch Witch Catchup

S'mores - no thanks. I really only like marshmallows in Krispie treats. It's a texture thing.. and fake s'mores flavoring is seriously gross. Chocolate - dark, milk, white, in that order. I'm cool with 'traditional' fillings (any type of nut, fruit, salt-topped) but no spice and for the love of anything holy, keep your bacon out of my chocolate. And out of my ice cream. I got $20 to spend - maybe a cat toy for my Sibyl, a book if the title/writing style grabs me, maybe a cute seasonal hand towel. E-reader? no. Candles/tart burners? Well, due to the kitty, no open flame. (will that stop me from jumping on the leaves candle from BPTP? Hell no ) I haven't tried the tart warmer. Better skip this one for me. Fandoms? Definite Browncoat, Whovian, Buffy, SG1 fan. Really picky on designs, though. :/ WF/TJ/Penzey's - I'm fairly close by the first two. Penzey's I've never heard of, so really unfamiliar with them. Cute kitchen stuff/bento? Sure! Maybe cute bento would inspire me to do more cooking Okay with strange food through the mail? Sure. PJ bottoms? No thanks. Best freebie? Oh, I know. I recently went out to Vegas and just had to take in a Cirque show. Bought a seat in the back (waaaay in the back) and ended up getting upgraded to a front row seat because 'they were having a slow night'. Canada items? Maynard wine gums, and only if you can find it, but there's a particular brand of maple syrup from Costco up there that really looks like a bottle of wine. It may be out, it may not, but if you could find that I'd love you forever. (It's definitely a seasonal thing. Would get it for my parents when I had a more reliable Canada connection for Xmas.) Green tea KitKats. No Smarties though - the chocolate tastes way too chalky. I may come up with others, but it's been a while since I've been up there. Plus Tim Horton's is just kinda hard to mail and have it still edible when it gets here. Australia items? Yes please Knitting/crochet/whatever thingies? Also a nerd and would love a Fourth Doctor scarf, but I know that's a time-intensive thing (too bad the Doctor couldn't come in and whisk you away in the Tardis and let you knit that, then drop you off like, the day after so you'd have plenty of time to come up with other things).. Other than that.. fingerless gloves would be nice. Wild rice/tomato sauce/maple syrup? Yes please! Marzipan? Sure! Other person/creature in the house who doesn't want to be left out? You can send something to my kitty Sibyl, but she'll be WAY more interested in the box your goodies come in. Favorite cuisine/restaraunts? I don't really have a favorite - I'm omnivorous! Will at least try anything. I dunno if my most frequented restaraunts particularly mean they're my favorites - I usually just try to have a bit of variety in the shopping center I work at! Jason's Deli, Smoothie King, the sushi bar Yu-ka and the Chipotle down the block.. oh and the italian place next door. Muslin 'paper' towels? I'll try them.. not exactly sure if it will stick, especially when cleaning up hairballs/kitty puke. Alcohol? Yes please! Some of your favorite artists? Classic and modern? Monet, Manet, Degas, Klimt, Mucha, Escher. If you could have an image or certain subject painted for you on any type of "canvas" (on a box, on paper, on a canvas, and so on) - could you point your witch to some of these images? The crescent moon has always resonated with me. This may be something I come back to, cause my mind just went blank. Is there a GC scent that's been on your list for ages but keeps falling off the bottom of your order because of the LEs? Heh. That would infer I actually try any of the GCs. I've been getting into indie nail polish brands recently. What's your favorite indie brand of nail polish? Or what's your favorite mainstream brand of nail polish? Or are you not big on polish? No polish please. Stuffed things: yea or nay? Yea! That blue dragon Dymphna linked to was friggin' adorable. New Question: mix-in-a-jar? How to you feel about cookie or cake or soup mixes that come in jars and you just add, like, an egg or water or what have you? Sure! Would you be interested in beer, wine, or other specialty beverages from your Witch's area? Sure! Are there any crafts/skills you've wanted to learn but haven't gotten around to? And if so, would you be interested in supplies and tutorials? Not that I can think of. I cross-stitch (rarely nowadays) and sew, and my mom crochets so I can always bug her if I get the hankering to learn. Not much on drawing, I read music, aaaaand.. nope. Still can't think of anything. Well, scratch that, steampunking prop things would be cool, but that may be a little more involved than a Witch really wants to get in to. ^.^ Who here would be happy to get a lil' sumthin sumthin from Adagio Teas? Haha, I still have a couple boxes of tea my first Witch gave me back in '08/'09. I don't drink hot tea often. Do you Ravelry? And if so, what's your handle over there? Would you be interested in gift patterns from your queue? Due to the lack of interest in yarn stuffs, nope. I live near this very cool Retro store (retrodrygoods.com) (you can order online too) - are there things from it that would make you squee if your witch sent them? The black cherry earrings, the floral ring, TEABERRY GUM. Heck, you'd make my mom's day if you sent her some too. Who likes Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses? NO PUMPKIN FLAVOR IN MY CHOCOLATE. What does your kitchen look like? Colors/style? Heh. So neutral it hurts. Hoping for a remodel soon, but not holding my breath. Witchee, what are your favorite quotes? I will have to get back on this one. Put your iPod/MP3 player/what-have-you on random and list the first 10 songs it plays! Skipping for now. A taste of <location> here box? sure!

    RPG Combos

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab’s RPG scent series was designed to emulate the character creation process, and are meant to be layered in order to create a character concept. In short: you layer your class, race, and the two fragrances that compose your alignment to construct your character scent. Hee hee, my turn to play! My first layering combo was Chaotic Rogue Elf. YUM. Musky leather with a hint of pine for the m'fin WIN. The combo on me turned out to be a bit masculine, as there was a bit of spice with the musky leather in the initial application, likely from the wasabi in Chaotic, but it's dried down and faded into a lovely musky scent. Not particularly picking up any of the florals in Elf, but they may have been covered up by Rogue and Chaotic before burning off. My inner Elf wants to put this combo on at the LARP and go running around going 'Sniff me! SNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIF!!!' and hand out action slips for anyone who does. </dork>

    Spring Switch Witch Help

Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounce sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? Uhm.. no thanks. If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW what would you order (from lab, forum, DD, TradingPost, etc) I'd get a bottle of SOBO, Glowing Vulva, Spanked, all the massage oils, and I think the Vice bath oils. What level of nudity are you fine with on items? Nudity of all kinds and sexes welcome. Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) I love making my own trail mixes and granola. The Late July sandwich cookies are tasty too. Also just found some granola bars (blanking on name) which are organic and tasty. I know the ?airre asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? Sure! Do you like any particular kinds of green or black teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? No coffee - my coffeemaker is currently stuck in Canada. As for tea, I prefer fruity or plain green/black tea - anything floral is kinda gross.

    *splatters mustard*

What? It's a Jackson Polluck (which seriously, if it looks like a drop cloth, does not deserve to get tons of money). Girl Scout cookies? You can send all the Samoas, Thin Mints, and Trefoils right here! Apple butter? Oh yes. Berry butter sounds good too. No pumpkin butter, though. Incense? No thanks. Art? I have mostly naked walls. There is a framed print of a generic French seaside town in the dining room, and at the end of the hallway there is a colorful print of gerbera daisies which was originally meant to be hanging in my bedroom. Other than that.. empty. Count me on the list for Starry Nights, and Monet's Waterlilies. Emily Autumn? Have d/led some of her tracks, but I don't think I've actually listened to them yet.
  12. nekogrrl

    What time is it?

*kids yell* It's CONDIMENT TIME!!!! *announcer/host* That's right kids, and you too can get something really keen and nifty from your Witch if you just answer those questions! So get your clickers ready, here goes! Is there anything you want from the Violette Market update? I would /love/ a backup bottle of Miss Julia Star. Other than that, Witch's Apple looks /really/ interesting. A sample of Golden Autumn wouldn't be amiss, either. Who likes hair toys, and if so what kind? Okay, the first time I saw this question, I had just read the comment about 'no to the Vag-eye-na but if it were actually furry I'd put it in with the stuffed animals and pet it' and totally went and thought 'If I wanted a hair toy I'd just collect my hairbrush leavings for a week..' Then I read someone who answered correctly and went OH. HAIR TOYS. /SO/ much more sense. I did have some hair forks on my etsy wishlist, but after getting one from COGnitive Creations I am apparently totally inept at getting the fork to keep my hair bunned like I originally had it. So no hair forks, but hair sticks are always appreciated. Barrettes are nice too. I also like the leather hair ties and hair spiral thingys I found at the Renfest a couple years ago, but don't wear b/c my hair has grown too long for the things I have. (A 'tail' of a couple inches I can deal with. Half a foot or more just looks silly.) Hair combs I've always had a problem with b/c my hair is straight and fine and things fall right on out. I use Scunci metal-free elastics, and am curious about these hair screws I keep hearing about. *pauses to look at hairsticks on Etsy* Oh, and I have no idea how to put my hair up in a chignon, so those type of pins are also likely lost on me. *looks more* *shudders* No hairsticks made from antlers, please. Does any art we may send need to be child safe, either in the actually safe sense or the non X rated sense? As long as it's tasteful, I don't care what's showing. In the knitted/crocheted things area, would you want wrist warmers, 1/2 gloves, a neck warmer(the kind that pretty much just goes around your neck and maybe fastens instead of being long and loose like a scarf), slippers, or hats? Arm warmers, half gloves are fine. No thanks to the rest. How do you feel about altered/recycled/upcycled items of clothing or accessories? As long as it fits within my taste. If it's just you and your scissors and an unsuspecting Tshirt, then I'll have to pass. Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? Haven't watched in a while, but was into series like Angel Sanctuary, Gravitation (Shinjo Shuichi is my husband.. SO SCARY.), Hellsing, and Darker Than Black. (oh yeah, and Trigun.) I have the mangas of AS, the first of Gravitation (and the entirety of Gravitation FX, and the voice collections/soundtracks), and Magic Knight Rayearth. Would like the mangas of Hellsing, the rest of the original Gravitation, Trigun and DTB. Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Of course. Wishlist is there to show you my general taste. (along with things I want. OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? Below-ankle socks only in a light weight. Other than that.. go crazy. How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? Sure. If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist? I don't normally wear scarves (too warm most of the year) so I don't really have a preference as to length/width. Would you like a custom/altered toy either from a seller or from your witch (like My Little Pony, or a Barbie or any particular toy that can be changed?) Hahahahaha YES. I'd love a steampunk, Doctor Who (Fourth or Tenth Doctor, or Dalek. Or a Capt. Jack Harkness.), chibi Cthulu, or something else equally peachy MLP. Not so much into Barbie. Web comics:Regularly: Something*Positive, The Devil's Panties, Questionable Content, Freakangels, Punch 'n Pie, xkcd, Two Lumps, Girls With Slingshots. Not-so-regularly: A Softer World, Dinosaur Comics, Diesel Sweeties. Not a comic, but hilarious anyway: Sleep Talking Man.

    More 'Weenie Witch Help.

what interests you from the latest lab update? I think I answered this already.. How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? Yes please! And.. if it's in the vein of kawaii, then cutesy is fine. Otherwise, classic/contemporary. Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Beans (any type) would be fine, as well as tomatoes. Fruit jams/preserves will also be eaten. If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Of course! I have yet to go through a full 5ml, plus some of the things I'm wishing for are pretty hard to find. Would you like something you have to make yourself? Sure. Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? It would warm the cockles of my heart if you made it. Who is your favorite soap etailer? Paintbox Soapworks, but if we're including scrubs, Haus of Gloi is right up there too. There are also other soap etailers on my Etsy wishlist I'd like to try! What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? Not much of a vintage collector/decorator. With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? No preference, it's all up to my Witch. What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? Vastly prefer mineral makeup. Would like to start getting into Meow and more of Fyrinnae. In Clinique, my foundation type is linen, so I think I've got some yellow undertone to my pale whiteness. As for colors.. I look best in browns, pinks and some greens (although I haven't entirely figured out why some do and some don't). I'm also trying to figure out the shades of blue which work, as well. Please no yellows or orange. Blushwise, I tend to go for darker pinks or neutrals. For lips, I'd love to find a red which works on me. Darker pinks/mauves/purples work well. Am looking for browns/neutrals. Who would be on your top 5 (IE famous people you’d date/have relations with ) Alexander Skarsgard, Nathan Fillion, Adam Savage, James Marsters, Piper Perabo (from Covert Affairs), Basshunter, and Miyavi. Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? Whatever my Witch desires. Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? I have a spreadsheet. I can put it in Google Docs if needed. It needs a minor update (I think it's updated till Lupercalia 2010) but I haven't really bought anything over the summer. Do you like maple sugar candy? Don't think I've ever had any, but one or two pieces would be nice. What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? *gags* Keep bacon over there, and chocolate far, far away from it. (I like both, but.. no. not together.) If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? Nope. Go to your spice cabinet, what are the three most used spices? Hm. Black pepper, garlic (fresh).. and that's it. Microsoft or Apple? PC all the way. Where was your last vacation? What did you like most? Well, due to circumstances all my vacations are to Edmonton AB. Last time I was up there in August, I totally loved the ~85 degree no humidity weather. Plus seeing the husband was nice. Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them? Would love receiving, but I'm proving to be horrible about sending. Unless it's postcard-only, then I could probably do it reliably. Do you hate any food things with a passion?? cooked carrots, celery in any form. Ricotta cheese, grits, anything with a texture like sand. Would you be opposed to receiving a digital version (via email) of a magazine you like but don't subscribe to...you know, in the interest of saving a tree? Sure. Any countries you're interested in? Would love to go back to Sweden, Germany, Spain and Prague. Would also like to see more of France and Toronto other than their airports. Otherwise, the rest of Scandinavia, British Isles, Ireland, Japan, Australia/NZ. Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? Certainly. If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Of course! Are you a foodie? In the food sense.. not really. I like eating, but am not a gourmand. As to perfume.. again, not really. Most foodie scents are sweet, and sweet makes me gag. Any sports fans in the house? What's your favorite sport/team/player? I am nominally a baseball fan, rooting for the MN Twins. Most of the time, I really do not care about baseball/football/soccer/basketball/hockey/curling. I think the Olympics are the only time I actually seek out sports stuff to watch. For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? I haven't for years, but would like to start again. Prefer simple elegant type things.. crafty/folksy tends to equal country and I don't like that style, and 'campy' is too wide a category and really depends on taste. Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? No thanks. Cake truffles? If YES! Cake/icing/chocolate type? Oooh, those look yummy. I'll go for chocolate, cream cheese and dark chocolate. are you interested in mini bottles(under 100ml for hand luggage) of bath and body products? Sure. Haus of Gloi has lots of little sample-type things *coughcough* Vampire shows, literature, etc? Yay or nay? Send me anything Twilight-related and I will have to hunt you down, stake you, cut off your head, and stuff your mouth with garlic. Send me Alexander Skarsgard, and I will luff you forever. If you play console video games, what game systems do you have and what games would you love to have? *snorks* The last console I had was an Atari. How do you all feel about flowers and plants? Flower and plant seeds? Drawings of flowers or plants? Pressed flowers? I like flowers if I don't have to care for them. Or if they're hardy enough to care for themselves (like my pachira tree in my bathroom). Drawings.. sure. Pressed? No thanks. How do you feel about marzipan? Never had it, but I think it would probably be too sweet. But I wouldn't mind trying a small amount. If you could have 3 BPAL bottles fall (gently) out of the sky right this second that you've been looking for or pining for - which 3 would they be? Amaterasu v.2 or 3. Are there any international treats that you love and have a hard time finding? Nope, I have a source for winegums and Smarties. If you are a crafter, would you like to receive supplies from your witch (beads, fabric, yarn/roving etc?) Sure. Soundtracks you'd like? If you could find the intro to Covert Affairs, that'd be nice. Otherwise, I have all the soundtracks I want. If you could see one concert right now, who would it be? Apocalyptica, They Might Be Giants, Muse, and one more I'm totally blanking on right now.

    More catchup.

If you were to receive a knitted item (such as a scarf, hat, etc), what colors would you like? And do you have any sensitivies/allergies to any materials? Any colors except pastels. Prefer natural fibers, but wool makes me itchy. Natural/synthetic blends are fine if the wool caveat rules out too many things. (note: I've never really worn angora or cashmere or alpaca, so I can't comment to those. Stuff off a sheep's back, however, I will be clawing at eventually.) Would you like a bag of dried Honeycrisp apples? OMGYES. If I were to send you a gift certificate for something would you rather get a physical gift certificate in the mail? Or would you prefer an electronic one that you can use right away? Either/or, not too picky. Steampunk, yay or nay? If yay, what part appeals most? Oh yes. Very much yes. To me, the clothes/jewelry appeal most, but I also enjoy looking at the mechanical things people come up with. Favorite Yankee Candles? Or other brands scents? No thanks. How does everyone feel about glow in the dark radishes? No thanks. What places to do you visit that you'd like a gift card to? Barnes&Noble, Borders, any of my favorite etsy stores which offer GCs.. Target. Socks? Sock Dreams? Anyone? only wear below the ankle socks. Cake or Frosting? THE CAKE IS A LIE. What's YOUR favorite word? Dilapidated. Mostly because of the mental image I get: the letters start falling in from the left (like the cascade from Solitaire) and at the first bounce they all collide and smoosh together; so on the second bounce when they straighten out again, they look.. dilapidated. Which brings me to a question: would you like a zuni animal fetish? And if so, what animal? Eeeeh, probably bear; but I'm leery of stuff like this generally. (my decor is not Southwest oriented. However, if it were just the carving, I might put it in the massage room.)

    More help!

What movie scared the bejeezus out of you as a child? Dark Crystal. I /still/ cannot watch that movie without freaking the hell out. Aughra = TERRIFYING. Name a couple of sites you frequent other than this one. News of the Weird, Postsecret, Something*Positive, Two Lumps. ---------- Ketchup: Favorite movies to watch @ this time of year? Labyrinth. (and that's another skill I would like to pick up, learning how to manipulate balls like that.) Comfort rereads? Heh. Pretty much anything on my bookshelf is a comfort reread. Box? No thanks, I'm set. Favorite Halloween candy? My mom makes the awesomest cinnamon popcorn. Storebought - I lurves the Reeses pumpkins. Also Dove dark chocolate. And Snickers bars. Please do not give me too much candy though, dear Witch, as I'm working towards my weight loss goals and some days I don't have a lot of willpower. ETA: I totally wouldn't mind an astrological workup. My relevant info /is/ on the forums. favorite Muppet: from the Muppet Show I was always partial to Beaker, Swedish Chef, and Kermit. If we're also including Sesame Street, then Ernie was my hands-down favorite as a child, followed by Herry, Grover, and Frazzle. Going anywhere during the round? Sadly no. Wanted to get up to Canada for Thanksgiving, but that's just not going to happen. Stupid 'extra' expenses. So no October travels for me. School/classes: Not in school, but the CEU (continuing education units) monster is always wanting to be fed. I would also like to go back to school for esthetics, but first things first - gotta put the husband through nursing school.

    More SW Help.

Squick: I LOVE Halloween, but please do not be sending me any fake (or real) spiders. There /will/ be a freakout, and it will not be pretty. Decoration: I tend more towards the cute. Please nothing that makes noise when you pass by. Celebrity crush: Hah, this could take a while. I'm really disappointed I couldn't go to Dragon*Con and get my picture taken with Ben Browder and Michael Shanks (or as I called them, Hot Man Sandwich) or James Marsters. Nathan Fillion is probably the only crush I might have a chance of randomly walking by, as he is from the same city as the husband is from. I've got some girlcrushes too, but am having a hard time tearing myself away from the Hot Men of SciFi so will update later when I'm not being a dirty old lech. Ceramics: An oil warmer would be nice. Mortar/Pestle: I have one, but it's not used frequently. Widescreen/formatted?: Widescreen, but uh.. I'm going to go with no movie DVDs, as the husband has a HUGE collection (the bookcase is approximately 6 feet long and 4ish feet high (4 shelves) and it's completely packed). TV shows like Burn Notice, Leverage, Carnivale, Deadwood, True Blood and the like are less likely to be on the shelf. Smallville I think he has, and possibly Supernatural, too. LOST is definitely there. It's hard to remember! Snack food: I have an awesome recipe for granola with stuff I keep meaning to share here, and I mix my own trail mix with stuff I pick up from the farmers market. I've also been known to eat the dried fruit before it ever gets to the mixing bowl. Bit more ketchup to add to the mix! Would you like icons? Yes. It can be for either a favorite perfume or name-based, or whatever other ideas my future Witch might have. Etsy similarities? Sure. Wishlist is there as a guideline to show you how my tastes run. Certainly not exact. Disney? I still would love a copy of the original Fantasia. And some of the older Disney movies like Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and .. wait, I have Sword and the Stone already. DVD/VHS/BluRay? DVD/VHS. Hobby/skills? I'd like to pick my German back up again. And I'd love to start bellydance classes. I may also pester my MIL to learn how to knit.

    Halloweenie Sw Help

Groupons vs gift certificates: Groupons only if they're for restaurants in the metro Atlanta area. Gift certificates are welcome for any store anywhere. HP House: Uh, while I like HP - not so big a fan I have to put myself in a house. Pajamas? No thanks. Hubby and I prefer skin contact. Level of Girly: Thanks to my husband, I've become more girly over the years. It still takes a Very Special Occasion (like anniversary dinner or Dad/Daughter Dance) to get me in a skirt. I LOVE mineral makeup and pretty accessories (necklaces/earrings; shiny hair stuff), and my favorite clothing store is NY&Co. Not a polish person, and I do enjoy a good tshirt/jeans/flipflop combo, too. Tarot: haven't read in a very long time. A deck wouldn't go amiss, and might get me back into reading. Austen: No thanks. Mix CDs: Please. I can't be the only one with eclectic taste.. Soft/plush: I'd love knitted half-finger/fingerless mitts, or a scarf, or socks. No plush, cause I simply don't have the room to display it. What, if anything, is your guilty TV watching pleasure? Mine is wrestling. I apparently need violence liberally mixed in with my soap opera. If you cosplay or need a costume for your bellydance/burlesque hobby (or any other hobby which needs dressup/different from your normal wear), is there anything you need/want for it? I'm in the process of building a steampunk outfit for next year's Dragon*Con, so any of the clock hand earrings or the pair of goggles I have linked in my Etsy wishlist would be nice. If you're feeling spendy, this harness is the one I'm lusting after. I've just about stopped playing my elf, so nothing for her. I have yet to actually start bellydance (although I'd love to do it, just the usual excuses of time and money), so nothing there. So I guess that's it. What is your favorite artist or art style? Mucha for artist, realistic for very general art style. Do you like scented tarts? Not really a tart person. Do you have any body mods? If so, do you need any new jewelry, o-rings, plugs, etc (and if so, what size, length, etc)? Do you like pro-body mod stickers? No body mods, but am currently lusting after a tattoo. I /might/ try piercing my ears again, but I have weird reactions to metals sometimes. Ebooks? no kindle/nook/whatever, so no. I'm also of the 'nothing can replace the weight/smell of a book' camp, so I don't forsee myself getting one anytime soon. Booze. Do you drink it, would you like some? Yes, and yes.

    Oooooooohhh...

I just thought of something I would absolutely squeal out loud over if I got: a bottle of either Amaterasu versions.

    A Bpal Wishlist, Of Sorts.

This is stuff from the recent update I'm wanting: BPAL Halloweenie: Getting decants from this, so will update with the likes (if any) from that. BPAL Lunacy Update: I /really/ want Mabon and Wildfire. Those types of scents are just right up my alley, so to speak, and I'd get them unsniffed. BPTP Halloweenie: If you were a creative writing type, I'm totally Naughty Tricksy. For the perfumes, I'd prefer them in this order: Bogle, Slaugh, Muilearteach. For their non-Inquisition offerings, I'd like the Samhain room spray, or the Rimmon and Sagardoa soaps.

    La Primavera Bath Oil

Lemon peel, tuberose, sugar cane, plum blossom, white gardenia, dandelion, violet leaf, jonquil, iris, sandalwood, Damascus rose, white grapefruit, mint, and sweet orange. Got this today (along with L'Autumno, those reviews come tomorrow) and it happened to be that I hadn't taken a shower yet. No better time like the present to test it out! I start my bath, and pour some of the oil in. Immediately I am surrounded by a cloud of finely blended florals, with a strong undertone of mint. However, due to the citrus and sandalwood (and mint), the florals aren't overpoweringly cloying. I would say the dominant floral was the tuberose/Damascus rose, but the dandelion, iris, jonquil, gardenia and plum blossom come up and surround the rose, supporting it closely. The undertone of the citrus and mint return the florals to earth - these are flowers still planted in the earth and growing, not cut off from their roots and placed in water somewhere. So yes, this is spring in a bottle. Early-blooming flowers reaching toward the warming sun through the earth. Yum.

    Champagne and Roses

Wow, the champagne in this is super sharp and acrid, and the roses do what they normally do and AMP. Not for me.
  24. nekogrrl

    Clockwork Couture: Female

This is one of the rare floral blends I can wear without gagging. I suspect the strong leather note keeps the orchid from taking over; they blend with the vanilla to give a lovely overall leather floral. I love this scent and will wear it when I want to feel girly.
  25. nekogrrl

    Clockwork Couture: Male

On me this turns out to be a lovely worn leather scent with the tang of iron, much like the iron feel of Iron Phoenix. The woods are in the background, but add complexity and warmth to the scent. It is very much a 'masculine' scent, and I'm going to decant the husband some for him to wear.
