    Lick It Til It's Sticky

Seriously, what can I say? Pepperminty fresh!

    Now Winter Nights Enlarge

Oh, this scent works so well it's almost scary. The vanilla red musk is the prominent note in this for me, and is supported by the patchouli and ylang ylang. The patchouli and musk keep the ylang ylang, caramel and honey from running away to sugarland. This is so sexy, I love it.

    Samhain

This scent perfectly sums up Halloween and autumn in general for me. The only thing this is missing (to me) is the scent of smoke or some representation of fire, as this is the scent of people out in the woods having hot apple cider. Totally delicious.

    Raven Moon

***The following message has arrived through a strange lag in the space-time continuum*** I'm not sure if I like this blend. I think the myrrh is what's throwing it off for me. I'm going to age it for a bit and retest.

    Falling Leaf Moon

My goodness, I love this scent. This personifies autumn to me, and I couldn't be happier about it.

    Blue Moon 2009: Brian's Interpretation

This is very similar in feel to Beth's Blue Moon. It must be the florals, cause that's pretty much all I'm getting from it. The white musk is not helping the florals calm down, and there's not enough difference to my nose to keep this blend.

    Blue Moon 2009: Elizabeth's Creation

Too floral. I get nothing of the woods or incense. The blue musk tends to go sweet on my skin, so overall, this is not the blend for me.

    Enyalios

This is another Dirty Hippie blend. The patchouli is not my friend, and it kind of takes over the blend.

    Luperci

... This scent is for the Luperci, the Chosen of Faunus, the Brothers of the Wolf: raw, down and dirty patchouli, Gurjam balsam, and essence of Sampson Root sweetened with the heightened sexuality of beeswax, virile juniper, oakmoss, ambrette seed over honey and East African musk. I have never understood the people who don't like patchouli because it smells like a dirty hippie. I understand them now. This blend personifies Dirty Hippie to me. I can't decide whether this is a 'bad' batch of patchouli or if another note is making this a do not want.

    Khrysopelex

This smells exactly like a casserole my mom used to make, which had caraway seeds in it. While the perfume has a slightly different scent to it thanks to the amber, I'm still not particularly enthused about smelling like my sister's favorite childhood meal.

    Rhinotoros

WHOA vetiver. You do NOT have to prove your superiority by beating everyone else's face in.

Dark Chocolate and Key Lime Truffle

I was hoping for a mildly sweet citrus. This is NOT mild. Way too sweet; overpowers the citrus handily.

    Khalkokorustes

Jasmine proves itself one of my death notes as it completely takes over with the aid of the champaca and pear. Way too sweet for my taste.

Milk Chocolate, Coconut, Cardamom, Rum, and Ginger Truffle

This is a horrid clash of scents on my skin. The coconut and ginger DO NOT LIKE ME.

Dark Chocolate, Whiskey, and Cognac Truffle

Hahahahaha I smell like one of the alcoholic chocolates my inlaws fed me copious amounts of over Christmas.

    Olisbos

OMG I smell like I've been doused in olive oil.
  17. White chocolate, black raspberry, and apricot cordial truffle. This is one of the few chocolate scents which works on me. The raspberry and apricot are both dominant, with the white chocolate giving a light sweetness to the blend. Was nice enough to be bottle-worthy.

    The Zadok Allen Vineyard

In imp: Sweet, rotting fruit and blood. On skin: blood Blood BLOOD. Ugh.

    Inganok Jewelers

I get the silver, but not particularly the stone. Kinda meh.

White Chocolate, Strawberry, and White Pepper Truffle

The pepper in this doesn't come out nearly enough to stop it from smelling like last year's White Chocolate Strawberry.

Milk Chocolate and Matcha Green Tea Ganache Truffle

Who the heck bottled their BO and slipped it into my perfume? Didn't even skin test, couldn't take the smell.

    Enkhespalos

In imp: LEATHER. On skin: Straight up leather. Don't get me wrong, I /really/ enjoy the smell of leather, but this just isn't doing it for me.

    More VD SW Help.

How do you feel about home-canned goods? Jams/jellies would likely be used faster than pickles. Canned fruits will likely be eaten upon arrival. Canned veggies will be used when I feel like it. How do you feel about handmade stuffed animals? Sure. Are there any accessories you'd really like? Not at this time. Hair stuff? I have so much wishlisted on the etsy and amazon lists it's not funny. Please? Lip balm? I don't use it a lot (I've got one my MIL gave me for xmas '07 that I haven't finished using), but I think it's because I haven't found the 'right' lip balm. So try me.

    Fiction authors.

YA: I hear Jane Yolen has done some awesome YA books. For as much of a fan of Neil Gaiman I am, I only have Coraline. Frank Beddor's series was awesome. Scott Westerfield's series (Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras) was pretty good too. Fiction: I /love/ retold fairy tales. Have been looking for Ellen Datlow's Tamsin tale.. and will be adding some of her edited books to my amazon wishlist. Charles de Lint is also an awesome writer. (again, see wishlist.) I would like to find the other two books of his where he published originally under the name Samuel M. Key (I've got Angel of Screams.) Nancy Madore has an erotic fairy tale collection called Enchanted, which I have, but there's another out there that I want. I'm also a fan of Jacqueline Carey and am missing the third book in the second Kusheline trilogy. (which must be hardback to match the others in the set.) Oh, I also like Diana Gabaldon, and have read (but do not own) through to the newest Echo In The Bone. Nor have I read the spinoffs featuring Lord John Grey. Alternate history intrigues me, although with the exception of Gregory Key, haven't read any. SF: This is a bit trickier. I like Harlan Ellison, Ray Bradbury, and Roger Zelazny (although I've only read his Amber series). I like reading my dad's Analog magazine when I can get my fingers on it. However, other than the above mentioned authors, I can't help you much.
