    Euphrosyne

This smelled awfully sharp in the bottle, but smoothed down into something beautiful on the skin. The drydown is a slightly floral vanilla, long lasting and subtle. I'd recommend this one to people who–like me–don't always care for florals.

    Severin

I really wanted to like this one... A long-lasting earl grey or darjeeling scent has been on my wish list forever, and I had high hopes for Severin. Captain Picard with a riding crop? Yummy (yes, I'm a huge dork) When it came as an extra in an order, I was super excited. Unfortunately, this one doesn't jive on my skin. In the bottle its a great sharp, dry leather and bergamot smell. -Sort of cold and lemony. On my skin it smells like iced tea (that's the good part) mixed with fresh, clean soap. I'm not a fan of the "clean" family of scents, so this doesn't work for me. I'm sure fans of clean smells will like it, though.

    Séance

Séance is simply gorgeous. On me it smells like a sun-warmed parlor filled with old wood (and a crystal ball). After a few hours it softens even more to a warm, sweet, woody skin smell. My explainations are inadequate. Just try it! [/color]

    Bordello

Bordello... My husband thinks this smells just like sweet, sugary bubblegum. He also finds it really sexy, but he's also a bit of a perv I think its a great summer scent, with juicy fruit notes and sugar that lest all day (or all night). I'm not generally a big fan of fruit smells (Victoria's Secret smells like Pear Glace make me gag), but this is deeper and more candy-like than fresh fruity.
  5. Hy hubby loves Hellcat (he likes the buttery note) and Scheherezade on me...

    Scherezade

I'm in love. In the bottle: Complex, spicy scent. On me, this is Snake Oil with a warm, musk rather than the vanilla. Perfect! Spicy, soft, not candy-like. Über-sexy! -Also very long-lasting. As soon as I use my sample up, I wil have to reorder.

    The Queen of Hearts

I love this! I am not a big fan of florals, but this is so beautful and lady-like on, I just had to buy a big bottle for my girly days. Queen of hearts is a fresh, springy clean smell. It dries to a sweet, springy wisp that is just perfect with a sundress.
  8. Hi there! I am new to the forum, and to the BPAL scents. There's an order of samples on the way, but I had a thought while it is getting here. I do monthly trancework (pathworking, self-hypnosis, meditation, whatever you want to call it). I usually use a scent as a cue to help myself "get in the mood" so-to-speak. The incense I have been using is from my old home in chicago, and hard to get now that I live in CA. Do you have any suggestions for a scent I could use for this? Thank you much , Ypres Eep
