  1. In Bottle: Apricot bubblegum

On Skin: The apricot is strongest and the ginger gives it an earthier note. The vanilla sweetens it to the point where it does smell bubblegummy to me. The jasmine is light, I barely smell it so I wouldn’t consider this a floral scent at all. I love the description the lab gave it and I think it fits well. Sweet yet seductive, you get attention with this scent.

  2. In Bottle: Musk!

On Skin: I love musk, but this one is a bit too smokey for me. Very heavy and masculine. Dark and sexy, the myrrh gives it a nice warmth. The vetiver gives it an animalistic edge. My husband doesn’t like smokey scents and this one is probably too heavy for him so it’s off to the swaps.

  3. In Bottle: Light floral.

On Skin: This scent is very soft and feminine. Innocent is a perfect description. I see this as kind of fairy and child like. The Sweet Pea seems strongest to me followed by the Water Lily. The florals have a very white tone, beautfiul. I think this would be a lovely wedding scent. The carnation is light in the background which works for me since I’m not much of a fan of carnation. It isn't overwhelmingly spicy either like carnation can be on my skin. Fairly light throw and it soaks into my skin right away so also a short wearlength.

  4. In Bottle: Cherry floral

On Skin: All I smell is lily. Very elegant but very strong. The cherry has faded to the back, just slightly sweet. This still is a “white” scent to me, the cherry doesn’t even tint it. If I really liked florals I’d keep this, but they feel to “formal” to me. The lily in this is a bit ozone/soapy as well, very clean.

  5. In Bottle: Floral and green.

On Skin: The lilies are quite strong, very elegant smelling, they always remind me of weddings. The floral notes are crisp and wet, very fresh. It is so pretty and feminine. Normally I don’t like florals and even this one is a little heavy on me. I’d like to make it into a room spray so my house will smell like fresh cut flowers…

  6. In Bottle: Sweet, almost like bubblegum.

On Skin: The wine and berries are very, very sweet and have a strong grape note. The thyme gives a herbal note that makes it a bit medicinal… not liking that. I figured it would be similar to Kali, but it’s not as dark and mysterious as Kali. Kali seems like the adult “womanly” version of this, whereas Lady Macbeth seems almost “girly” and cute. I like it, I’m going to give it a second try around people and ask what they think.

  7. In Bottle: Berry incense

On Skin: The cranberry is strongest but not as tart as I’d imagined. The musk really gives it a smokey incense feel. The spices give it depth but seem a little heavy to me. I’m not smelling the lillies or ginger yet, if they’re there they’re very light. I love cranberry, but I can see where other peiple have reviewed this as smelling like a Glade plug-In or Room Incense, it doesn’t seem like a body scent, I would use it as a room spray.

  8. In Bottle: Butterscotch!!

On Skin: Hmmm… warm butterscotch, very buttery! I don’t really smell rum though at least not the rum I’m used to, I’ve never had buttered rum. As it dries it gets really dry and powdery scented which I don’t really like because it tickles my nose. Kind of tropical, do I smell coconut as well? It doesn’t seem like a very wearable scent though, much too foody, people around you would ask if you had anymore butterscotch candy left and their stomachs would be growling.

  9. In Bottle: Ylang ylang and honey

On Skin: The Ylang ylang stands out a bit too much in this one for me. I was hoping it would be more of a honey scent. The musks give a nice depth and sexiness to the scent and the sweet amberish scent of the labdanum is interesting as well. A very pretty, feminine scent that I wish had more honey in it. I did get a 5ml and I might experiment with layering it over “O”.

  10. In Bottle: Dandelion and wine.

On Skin: Hmm… maybe Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury? I’m not picturing Patrick Swayze here if you know what I mean… This is actually kind of menthol like… something clears my senses. I’m not smelling the tobacco… and I’m not sure what pure hops smell like, just beer? I don’t smell beer at all… I actually like this scent, but I’m not getting any truck stop sleaze from it… but then again, I’ve never been to a sleazy truck stop. This is a very green scent with the dandelion being the strongest note by far. Ok, now I smell a faint hint of tobacco (like in Hearth)… it’s sweet. Wow, this is one of the most interesting and well developed scents I’ve ever smelled. I can’t believe how many levels it has! Overall I’d say it’s a pretty scent, with a green feel and a slight boozy background.

  11. In Bottle: Cactus

On Skin: It smells like a fresh cut cactus, I watched a friend cook one and this is what I smelled. Very sweet yet with a herbal spice. The sage is very strong, as is the coriander. This is a very green and planty smell, perfect for someone looking for a fresh, vibrant, live outdoorsy scent. Exotic and exciting, a gorgeous scent.

  12. In Bottle: Raspberry mint.

On Skin: I smell something a bit minty in this scent. The raspberry is most obvious… and the blood orange is much more subtle and a little bitter. The neroli lends an exotic note in the background. It dries with a bit of a powdery scent. I like it, but the powderyness of it doesn’t agree with me, I was hoping it would be more vibrant and juicy.

  13. In Bottle: Buttery yum.

On Skin: This smells exactly like the foody part of Halloween. Pumkin sweetened and spiced with nutmeg and clove. The peach sweetens it even more but gives a nice juicy balance. This smells like a kitchen after preparing for Halloween… baking cookies and pie, carving pumpkins, making mulled cider… yum! Very much a holiday scent that I’d love to use as a room fragrance, but not really as a body perfume.

  14. In Bottle: Tea!

On Skin: Yes, the black tea note is strongest… it woke me up right away! A very interesting scent… very strong and in your face. The fruitiness of the kaki and mikan are beautiful and citrusy. The cherry blossom is light and adds a pleasant floral note. I didn’t like this in the bottle, but I’m warming up to it now. This is a nice spring scent, or even a room fragrance.

  15. In Bottle: Peach and wine.

On Skin: The peach is very light but still the dominant note. This is a graceful and pretty scent. The amber is very warm and the wine isn’t boozy at all, just full of berry sweetness. The myrtle offers a camphorous note. The only thing I don’t like is that it is so light, it fades very quickly. I do see this as gender neutral because the musk toughens and darkens it up a bit. I’d love to smell this on my husband.

  16. In Bottle: Cypress, rose and patchouli.

On Skin: The cypress gives a very green planty scent as does the cyclamen. The rose is also strong and a bit powdery. The patchouli gives it grit and almost a dirt scent… I’m not smelling anything sweet… no neither the fig or tonka bean. This scent is very incensy, which is not me, but it is exotic and interesting.

  17. In Bottle: Herbal and incense.

On Skin: It starts with a woody incense note… very strong and a bit smoky. There is a herbal, spicy almost minty note as well. It is very masculine and strong. I’m not sure of the exact notes… maybe frankincense? I also smell a very light fruity note… either apricot or peach… Not my type of scent overall.

  18. HUNGER: Evokes sheer, unadulterated carnal lust. An undeniably warm and sensual scent. Black narcissus, orange blossoms, and vanilla. (Gender neutral)

In Bottle: Vanilla, orange and floral. The orange blossoms and black narcissus are a beautiful floral combination. It is warm and pretty… but I don’t the feel of lust from it. After a few minutes it starts to smell a bit medicinal which doesn’t agree with me… I think it’s the florals turning odd… I had my husband sniff it and he hated it, so off to the swaps it goes.

On Skin: Very sweet, obviously the vanilla showing through.

  19. In Bottle: Dragon’s Milk

On Skin: Yeah, it has the play-do scent of Dragon’s Milk, which I also think of my husbands wonderful description of “urinal cake”. It’s like spicy Dragon’s Milk… It’s artificial smelling and gives me a headache.

  20. In Bottle: Buttermilk

On Skin: Obviously the first note is milk. It’s a little less sweet than Chaste Moon or Dana O’Shee, the milk has a stronger “milk” tone to it, not as creamy. I think the scent it most closely reminds me of is White Rabbit minus the tea note. It does make me thirsty for a cup of warm milk sweetened with honey, because that’s exactly what it smells like. Very relaxing, conforting and calming. I think it fits the description of “closeness of child and mother” perfectly… The milk has a buttery scent to it, and I don't smell any mint like other people have reported. I can see it smelling similar to coconut a bit, but just the coconut milk, not the standard strong artificial coconut you might be thinking. This scent is divine!

  21. In Bottle: Sweet butter.

On Skin: Buttery extreme! I also smell caramel and the funnel cake. Very tasty indeed, but sadly the one note I really wanted to smell, I don’t smell at all: cotton candy. It really does smell like a carnival or amusement park. I don’t really smell the sugar tart either, but the salt water taffy oddly enough is starting to show itself. Yum! I still want BPAL to make a true spun sugar scent… it is my ultimate dream.

  22. In Bottle: Berries and pumpkin.

On Skin: I’m not sure about this one, I like the wine and berries, but the pumpkin is giving the scent a bit of an “off” feel for me. As the scent develops on my skin, it blends better and becomes more “fall” like. So many different notes in this one, hard to pick each one out. The florals are a little sour to me, and I hate to say it, but at one point smelled like pee to me. I hate to even write that, but seriously that’s what I smelled. This scent has so many levels and transitions on me, sometimes I like it, and other times I obviously do not. I’ll keep the imp, but this is not one of my favorite moons.

    ***EDIT for 2005 version***

I'm not sure why I ordered the 2005 version, since I didn't really love the previous one... but oh well! :P

The 2005 version is a bit more spicy... I smell cinnamon or nutmeg. The wine and berries are out in front again, and the pumpkin isn't showing itself. It's also not very floral. I really like this scent compared to the 2004 version, but again, it's not really a scent I'd wear. I love it as a room fragrance though, especially for October and November.

  23. In Bottle: Milky sweetness.

On Skin: This scent is pure heaven. I LOVE milk scents. Chaste Moon has a super sweet creamy milk note that seems almost like honey on me. The florals are so soft and accompany the scent perfect. I would bathe in this every day if I could. I want gallons of this scent. It does have such an innocent and childlike feel to it. It is very light which is the only downside because it fades fast. I can only hope Honey Moon will be this good. I haven’t gotten to try Milk Moon yet, but I can’t imagine it being better than this.

*Edit, I LOVE Milk Moon even more, wow!!*

  24. In Bottle: Pine.

On Skin: Ok, I don’t like pine, but this isn’t a Pine-Sol pine. It’s more more real and fresh. It reminds me of Christmas and getting our tree. Driving home and the snow on the trees and ground in the mountains we lived in. So pretty and festive. The berries are very light but sweeten the scent perfectly. This is a holiday scent for sure, I can’t imagine wearing it any other time… even wearing it may be a bit much, but it is a perfect room scent.

  25. In Bottle: Light sweet floral.

On Skin: So this is a winter scent as well, but far prettier and less extreme than Skadi. No pine, but beautiful soft florals and the light, crisp scent of snow. Very feminine and sparkly… entergetic… I love it! I wish snow really smelled this way. I think I smell a berry in there as well, or something sweet and fruity. Again, this is beautiful. I want a bottle of it.
