  1. DYAN MOON

    In Bottle: Floral and berries

On Skin: I get a very sweet berry note that jumps out at me, yet I don’t see and berries mentioned. It is sweet and dark red in feel like a very ripe raspberry or maybe even grape? Under that is a gorgeous bluish white floral. As the scent develops I get the rose, which is sour on me… but the other florals balance it nicely. The herbal notes and fresh and sharp, while the chamomile and musk are soft and mellow the scent out very well. So pretty and feminine, a woman’s scent for sure. The rose starts to amp, a bit much for me… I may try layering this with a cream or milky based lotion which would help tone the rose down. Overall though, a beautiful scent! Moderate to strong throw, long wearlength.

  2. HAY MOON

    In Bottle: Clean grasses

On Skin: Very warm and pretty. This is nice fresh hay that has been in the sun. It isn’t dry but it isn’t wet… just fresh. The grasses are green in tone… slightly perfumey… with the hay and sweet honey being golden in tone. It is fresh and clean, very welcoming. The cardamom adds to the warmth and isn’t “spicy” at all. The amber is soft and powdery, adding a nice depth to the blend. The mallow is creamy and mixes with the honey’s sweetness perfectly without being overly sweet. A very nice scent that is unisex and could be worn by anyone. My only complaint would be that it is very light and doesn’t have much throw. I really have to breathe in deeply and closely to fully enjoy it. Very light throw and short wearlength on me.

  3. PICKLED IMP

    In Bottle: Spicy pine

On Skin: This is very interesting!!! The pine is very sticky sweet, like I was just climbing a tree and my hand got stuck in some the aged sap that collects on the sides. It’s old sap for sure, it’s deeper and doesn’t have that sharp note fresh sap has. The cinnamon and clove, both notes I normally dislike, warm this scent up and give it the neatest spice taking away the “forest” tone this scent could have had. I like that they transform it and make it so much more unique. The vanilla is the only note that isn’t warming up on me. It seems like it’s the same vanilla that was in Love’s Philosophy that went completely fake and plastic on me. It’s not the deep creamy vanilla that’s in scents like Antique Lace. It’s odd because vanilla usually loves me, but in this scent and Love’s Philosophy, it dissed me… not sure why. Still, the other notes keep the vanilla in check and I end up really liking this scent. I also love the name. Medium throw and long wearlength.

  4. SIR HUGH OCKRAM'S WINDING SHEET

    In Bottle: Light wood

On Skin: This is a very gentle scent… all of it’s notes so subtle. The sandalwood is dominant, a clean note very white in tone. The linen is next, also white… but tarnished, and yes, starting to rot. I am amazed how “rot” is so perfectly captured here. It’s a bit of a wonky smell, not sure it’s one I’d like to smell like, but this scent for me is about the experience. Another mood evoking scent… The dust is very powdery and makes me almost sneeze, while the hyssop is very bright and sharp. The throw is extremely minimal… you have to lean in close to smell this. It also has a short wearlength.

  5. THE TWO-HEADED GOAT

    In Bottle: Earth and wood

On Skin: This is a very earthy scent… not so much soil but just being outdoors. Plants, the wood of trees, ozone, all sorts of natural elements. The moss gives it a nice clean aquatic note and the birch wood has a pretty light woodiness. The pimento berry is piney and bright. In contrast the dark musk is shadowed and deep… creating a beautiful scent texture. The petitgrain is sweet and natural. A very interesting scent with many levels. It has a medium to strong throw and average to long wearlength.

  6. THE GRAND INQUISITOR'S HERETIC'S FORK

    In Bottle: Smoke

On Skin: This is dark thick smoke, heavy and hot… a huge bonfire and a night full of mischief and debauchery. It sadly, is not a scent that likes me, even though I love where it’s going and I absolutely love the subject matter. But… smoke and vetiver amp like no tomorrow and I’m a bit overwhelmed. The metal is in the background, a bright slice comes through here and there. The dried blood is red and sticky… very deep and slightly bitter sweet. The vetiver and smoke are black, earthy and the darkest of dark. It has a very strong throw and long wearlngth.

  7. TABULA SMARAGDINA

    In Bottle: Rose incense

On Skin: This is pretty much a rose incense single note. Pure 100% rose and incense. Very sharp and sour, with a smoky spicy background. I like small amounts of incense, but rose is my worst enemy so sadly I have to wash it off. If you like classic rose incense, plain and simple with no bells and whistles… this is the perfect scent for you. This is a great scent for fans of Rose Cross. Very strong throw and unsure of wearlength since I washed it off.

  8. THE MALTESE CROSS OF SANCTUS GERMANUS

In Bottle: Soft florals and orange

On Skin: This scent is orange in feel, warm and so comforting. I feel like I’m sitting in the sunshine in a big bay window. It is innocent and absolutely gorgeous. The blood orange isn’t too tart, it’s sweet and offers the perfect citrus note. The frankincense is spicy and adds to the warm feel. The agarwood offers a nice heady wood base, and the golden amber is powdery and like a plush blanket. The ambergris blends perfectly and adds a nice sweet resinous tone. The lilac is candied and soft… very mellow with the perfect floral sidekick. I am in love with this scent, it is bottle worthy. It’s unlike anything I already wear and I’m excited to start wearing it! It has a light to medium throw and short wearlength.

  9. SHRUNKEN HEADS

    In Bottle: Clean and planty

On Skin: Wow, shrunken heads smell good! Who would have known? This scent is very much the feel of the Amazon. I smell tall grasses, lush and green in the humid jungle. Very clean, very alive and very fresh. The leather is deep and heavy… well polished… this is not dusty or dry leather… This leather is brand new and very well taken care of. It is extremely masculine and while it starts bright, quickly takes on a darker side. I love this scent and want my husband to try it for sure. Strong throw and long wearlength.

  10. THE CONTRACT OF THEOPHILUS OF ADANA

In Bottle: Paper and light resin

On Skin: The parchment note stands out on me, I smell paper right away. The benzoin is sweet and offers a beautiful light resin note. The incense combined with the brimstone is smoky and dark and gives this scent a mysterious edge. The red musk is a bit feral, sexy and full of warmth. The daemonorop note is also dark and resinous, with a nice warm spice. This is the scent of old paper, left in an attic that gets a lot of sun. Dried out and ancient… It has a pretty heavy throw and average to long wearlength.

  11. MEAD MOON

    In Bottle: Honey yum

On Skin: OH THANK YOU! It is lovely, lovely honey!!!! This is what I wish Honey Moon had been on me, but it instead went herbal. Here I get sweet deep honey.... warm and golden, so comforting and blissfull. The spices are very very delicate, this is not a "spicy" blend in the slightest on me. They just add to the warmth of the scent. The rosemary is also light, thank goodness... no herbal side of this blend at all. The lemon adds to the yellow/orange/gold tone of the scent, again it isn't citrus. This scent is honey, warmed by a bunch of gorgeous friends that compliment it perfectly and blend in seamlessly. I don't get a yeasty or wonky note at all that I usally smell in meads, so that also was a relief. This scent loves me to an extreme, and how perfect since July is my birth month. I have 2 bottles of this and I don't think it will be enough... I want to bathe in ti every day!!!

Medium throw and average wearlength on me.

  12. BEZOAR

    In Bottle: Balsam

On Skin: Outdoorsy and very dominant with the balsam. The hay is a close second, very dry and warm in contrast to the cool piney feel of the balsam. The cardamom offers a nice red spicy feel. The hiba wood is mellow and gives depth and substance to the blend. This scent is so light, and it has a very comforting vibe to it. I would say it is golden in feel with a dark red center. Very woody and natural. This scent would be fine on men and women. Only downside, it it has the lightest of throws and fades very quickly, so short wearlength.

  13. INEZ

    In Bottle: Honeyed wood

On Skin: This starts beautiful on me. Sweet yum… so golden in tone. Like warm honey and wood. But… there is something wonky in there. One tiny little note that keeps this from being perfection. What is it? I think it’s the red sandalwood. I love sandalwood, but red seems to be a bit “off” on me… like wet wood. The amber is soft and delicate, the vanilla musk is to die for… so sweet and velvety. The myrrh is warm and deep, the cedar is woody and full of sweetness and the carnation is a bit spicy and floral. So very nice, and so close to being a gallon worthy scent. As it develops the bit of wonkiness goes away, yay! A very golden sweet woody scent. Light throw and average wearlength.

  14. CLEMENCE

    In Bottle: Carnation and clove

On Skin: This is extreme carnation. I mean, like single note… holy crow! Very soft and spicy. The clove amps with it and heightens the spice. Once the heat of the cardamom and black pepper kick in, we are in spice overload! The patchouli is earthy and gives a dark resinous base and the tea gives it a another interesting level, but for the most part this is pure carnation and spice. Sadly, I’m not a fan of carnation or spice so it’s not a scent for me. But for those of you who love those notes, get this now! Strong throw and long wear length.

  15. DAIYU

    In Bottle: Berry floral

On Skin: This is a pretty fruity floral scent. It’s light and subtle, nothing too over the top. It has a light pink feel. The jasmine is sweet, the chrysanthemum is a little earthy and bitter, the tea leaf is clean and herbal, the white musk is also clean and very soft in feel. The acai berry starts a bit tart, but then sweetens up and gives the scent it’s color. A nice across the board scent, wearable for almost everyone. Light throw and short wearlength on me.

  16. MARCILLA

    In Bottle: Murky ginger tea

On Skin: This scent is not liking me from the start. I was very excited for the beeswax, it almost always turns to love on me. It’s nice here, but it is overpowered by a few of the other notes and doesn’t really shine through. The ginger is the deal breaker on me. Mixed with the florals it just seems a little “off”. Spicy and florals? Not for me. Mixed with the green tea, it just is too much going on for my nose. I barely smell fruitiness from the nectarine, just a light bit of the skin. I do like the softness of the golden musk, and the bits of beeswax that do sometimes peak through, but overall it’s not a scent I’d wear. It has a moderate throw and average wearlength.

  17. SCREAMING MANDRAGORA

    In Bottle: Earthy fruit

On Skin: I love this, it’s a very dark and almost gritty fruit. It has a soil/dirt tone to it as well. The fruit itself is creamy and white, the closest thing I could compare it to would be coconut. But it’s more fruity than nutty. I also smell a waxy note. As it develops, it loses it’s earthiness and just becomes more fruity. If I had to describe this scent quickly, I’d say a coconut and berry chapstick or candle. It’s very yummy and very warm in tone. It has a light throw and short wearlength.

  18. THE BLOOD GARDEN

    In Bottle: Sticky and red

On Skin: This scent is very dark… red without a doubt. I smell the grape right away, the dominant note for sure. It is sweet and sticky… fermenting slightly. The blood is a dragon’s blood resin to me, it has that trademark scent. The red currant deepens the berry grape note. The clove makes it spicy and even darker and amps the sweetness. The leather and oak give it depth and heaviness. The ginger lily has a perfumey tone but it is balanced well. The blackberry leaf and English Ivy are green and offer a nice slice through the sticky, sweet overtone of the blend. This scent has a medium throw and a long wearlength on me.

  19. FAEU BOULANGER

    In Bottle: Bright and aquatic

On Skin: I get a very bright green feel from this. It’s wet (swamp mist), clean (green mint) and even a bit sweet (from the violet). The mushroom note gives it a earthy touch and is not funky so don’t be scared. It’s a light scent and very alive and gender neutral. I would say this is a scent that would suit many people. It’s not dark as I had pictured, the contrast to me is a like a bog in the summer sun. It has a light throw and short to average wearlength.

  20. ASHLULTUM

    In Bottle: Coconut musk

On Skin: Wow. And another wow. The coconut here is heavenly. Sweet and creamy… I am transported to the tropics for a moment… The tonka layered with it adds an even more vanilla like dallop of yum partnered with the tea. The tobacco offers the absolute perfect amount of smoky love… the perfect grounding note. The hyssop and lilac are also sweet and give an even more island floral presence, with a nice spike of herbal coolness. The musk is so very soft, like baby’s skin. This scent just feels like a big plush blanket pulled around me after getting out of the cold ocean on a tropical beach. This to me is a gorgeous summer blend, I love how unique it is and not a Banana Boat kind of coconut summer scent. I will wear this for sure on hot summer nights. Light to medium throw, short to average wearlength.

  21. L'HEURE VERTE

    In Bottle: Sweet and… pickles?

On Skin: La Fee Verte is one of my favorite scents so I was very excited for this. It’s beautiful… it’s much more … um… naughty than La Fee. La Fee to me is elegant and refined, where as L’Heure is a bit sour and up to no good. The sour is from the rose water… very tart. I smell the absinthe (pour me a glass?) and the opium smoke creates even more of a feel of debauchery… a smoky and thick haze. The lilac and sugar cubes sweeten the scent slightly, but the rose water dominates. Overall, the rose is a tad too strong on me. So I will stick with La Fee Verte as my absinthe scent of choice. Strong throw and long wearlength.

  22. THE GRINDHOUSE

    In Bottle: Sweetness!

On Skin: I love this straight off… So sweet and beautiful. The rose happily stays in check this time. I smell the red musk, so dark and sexy… one of my favorite musks. The vanilla bean is sticky sweet, freshly scraped. The clove offers a spicy spike that cuts through any cloying tone this scent wants to take. The magnolia and iris are elegant and compliment the scent very well. And lastly the mimosa gives a sweet and fruity feel. Overall, a sexy scent that begs to be noticed. It reminds me of a candied Red Moon. I need a bottle! Average to strong throw, long wearlength.

  23. PARTHENOPE

    In Bottle: Floral musk

On Skin: This is such a sweet delicate scent. Very close to the skin and “come hither”. It’s sexy and feminine but so very innocent. The honeysuckle and jasmine, both normally heavy sticky sweet notes are actually mellow and provide just the perfect amount of floral sweetness, with the jasmine showing a bit of it’s powdery side. The mosses are earthy but clean. The benzoin is deep and resinous and the musk gives it the sexy tone. I love how this blooms on my skin and think I’ll wear it for when I want to feel positively feminine and girly. Light to medium throw, average wearlength.

  24. THE CHAPEL

    In Bottle: Deep dark incense

On Skin: This defines the color deep, dark red. It is so very extreme! The incense is smoky and fills the room, the base with it’s sticky resin. The wine is old and has gone bad. The brimstone is ashy and hot and finally the blood is thick and congealed. The mood this scent evokes is like no other. Wow, it really just transports me. I think that is a sign of a truly successful blend. Sadly, it’s not my thing… I couldn’t see myself really wearing this. But I do love experiencing it and would love to smell it on someone else, or try making a sachet or scented fan with it. Because I love it much more as just a subtle whiff… Very strong throw and long wearlength.

  25. THE BLOCKHEAD

    In Bottle: Bubblegum

On Skin: Whoa! Hello Bazooka Joe! This is pure pink bubblegum. The kind that isn’t fruity… just pink, and has a slight minty aftertaste. It’s fun, pure Carnaval that’s for sure. After about 10 minutes, the metal and leather show themselves making this have a masculine cologne side. Such a fun contrast! Who would have known that this creates a very cool scent! My husband would probably not wear it, unless I totally fuss over it… which I may have to do. I really like the novelty in this scent and the fact it makes me grin. Light throw and average wearlength.
