  1. LORALEI

    In Bottle: Sour floral

On Skin: This scent is quite soft and powdery, and the sour feel fades once it’s on my skin. The dominant note is the neroli on me, which is quite pleasant. It is a very soft velvety scent… a thin velvet, nothing plush… and the sandalwood helps with that feel. The ylang ylang is also quite light, which is odd because it usually amps on me. Here the three notes blend so well and compliment each other perfectly. It’s a beautiful delicate scent, but sadly only hangs around on me for about a half hour. Very light throw and very short wearlength.

  2. DESTROYING ANGEL

    In Bottle: Funky dirt

On Skin: The dry dirt is the dominant note, but there is a “funky” feel to it. Sour and slightly metallic. Eeeekk! This scent is not working on me at all. It does really remind me of mushrooms, and I do not like mushrooms. It’s musty, funky and much too earthy for my tastes. Sorry for the short review, I need to wash this one off. Strong throw and I’m note sure about the wearlength since I wahed it off.

  3. MANTIS

    In Bottle: Resin and ozone

On Skin: What an interesting combination! I get an ozone feel from this right away, whicj I can’t really relate to any of the notes other than the herbs. They give a beautiful green feel with a slight soapy edge. The resin and musk are in the background but ground the scent with a sexy side. I really can’t smell the patchouli which is good for me since I’m not a patchouli fan. This scent is very soft and with the sweet gorgeous resinous notes and the clean herbal notes, the contrast that they create is quite unique. If you like ozone blends but they are usally too sharp on you, try this one since it has such a sweet soft side. It fades quickly but the echo that remains is quite nice. I’d love this on men or women, it’s quite unisex. Soft throw and average wearlength.

  4. LIME SINGLE NOTE

    In Bottle: Super lime

On Skin: On my skin this smells like Gatorade gum. Not sure if they still make it, but I remember chewing it as a kid and it was the tartest, most delicious gum. This is sweet and sour at the same time. It seems like lime candy, not fresh lime zest, lime wedges or lime juice at all. Someone above compared it to a Lime Lifesaver and that is it exactly!!!!! I can even feel it in my mouth as I smell this. While it is quite a tasty smell, it’s not one I’d really wear but it could be fun for layering. It is more soft and mellow than bright and sharp like I was expecting… hmmm… It has a good throw and the wearlength is also average to long. A very nice single note!

  5. SHADOW WITCH ORCHID

    In Bottle: Orchids

On Skin: A beautiful perfumey orchid… so pure. While I’m not a huge fan of florals, orchids seem to work on me. Maybe because they’re one of my favorite flowers and I associate their scent with so many happy memories. This orchid is very strong, very perfumey and quite heady. It reminds me of my honeymoon in Tahiti, very tropical and the flower markets were huge with orchids being an almost common flower. The scent is slightly sour but with a very sweet base that helps even the overall tone of the scent. If I were wanting to wear a floral scent, this would be one of the first ones I’d reach for… well after Black Lily. I also like it a bit more than Black Orchid. :P Strong throw but it fades quicker than other scents, so I’d say a short to average wearlength.

  6. THE SCALES OF DEPRIVATION

    In Bottle: Lavender and wood

On Skin: This scent is so velvety soft, wow! The frankincense seems to be strongest with the beautiful sandalwood coming in second. The lemon peel is so light, it is just a sliver of citrus far in the background but keeps the scent from being too dark. The sage isn’t too medicinal which is nice, it’s a very subtle herbal note in this blend. The lavender is quite strong, but it’s pretty! It’s not the super herbal lavender that usually makes my eyes water. Labdanum can do no wrong in my book and here it is gorgeous. It adds to the soft feel of the scent, so comforting. And last, the vetiver is completely under control. YAY! It does offer a nice earthy note, not the pungent ick it usually turns to on my skin. Somehow all these notes, several which I normally hate, all blend together beautifully. This is a great example of how freaking amazing Beth is. A very pretty scent, one I’d love to use to fall asleep to or smell on my husband as I snuggle him. It reminds me of a much more mellow version of Incantation. Light to medium throw, and a short to average wearlength.

  7. MOSCOW

    In Bottle: Fruit and rose

On Skin: The rose is the strongest note in this scent at first… but then the jasmine takes over completely. It is very sweet and the lily of the valley starts to come out, very shy, but still making an appearance. I don’t really smell the carnation, a note that usually doesn’t work on me. The musk and amber play a beautiful role as dark and velvety notes that sneak in between the florals. I can’t smell the tangerine at all though. I could in the bottle, but on my skin it gets eaten up completely. About a half hour into drydown the carnation finally makes it’s way through. It is very much a floral scent, but not a bright one. It’s more muted and soft… It has a medium throw and great wearlength.

  8. ARKHAM

    In Bottle: Dainty violets

On Skin: Dainty is the word for this scent, it feels so light and fragile. Very floral and barely even there. The violet is strongest followed by the phlox. The bergamot is slightly bitter but not overwhelming. The woods soften the scent and distract from the light sour tone of the florals. The moss brings it all together with a nice earthy base. I can’t believe how soft this scent is, I have to strain to smell it, even after only 5 minutes of wearing it. If it was stronger I might like it a bit more, but being as light as it is, I don’t really feel like I’m wearing any perfume. Plus, it’s strongly floral which isn’t very me. Very, very light throw and super short wearlength. By the way it is nothing like the Discontinued Arkham (a completely different blend), just in case anyone was wondering.

  9. NYARLATHOTEP

    In Bottle: Fruity ozone

On Skin: I get a strong citrus feel from this one right off the bat. It’s a sweet lemon, maybe even verbena. There is also a very interesting dark aquatic note… not a bright summer’s wave, no this is a scary, dark deep “what’s down there” middle of the ocean feel. I am scared to death of dark water and this scent evokes that feeling. But I like it because the lemon gives a beautiful yellow glimmer of hope that cuts right through the scent. There is also a sweet incense spice that drifts in and out of the scent, so intriguing. I’m usually not crazy about lemon or aquatic scents, but these notes mixed together really work! A beautiful scent full of contrasts. A must try for sure! Medium throw but short wearlength.

  10. GNOME

    In Bottle: Herbal and earthy

On Skin: Most the elementals are herbal and earthy on me, two catagorys I don’t really go for. But I still like to try all the scents, so here we go… I get a very strong earthy dirt note. It smells like dusty earth though, not moist at all. It is also slightly resinous which makes me believe there is patchouli in this blend. Maybe a bit of vetiver as well. So to sum up this scent quickly, earth and a bit of a medicinal herb. Not my type of scent at all so I must swap it. Strong throw and long wearlength.

  11. TWENTY-ONE

    In Bottle: Gin

On Skin: Wow, yes a martini! I didn’t know it was going to be so literal! This has gin, a very junipery scent, as it’s dominant note. I prefer vodka martinis but don’t hate me for it! LOL! This scent is very sharp and very boozy. But it doesn’t make you smell like you’ve been up drinking all night, don’t worry. It’s very clean and clear, with a ripe, crystal feel. I also sense a little citrus zest, like the little curl of lemon or lime they use to garnish a martini. It’s a nice scent, not one for me really… but if you enjoy piney scents, try it for sure. Medium throw with an average wearlength.

  12. ENDYMION

In Bottle: Tart fruits and florals

On Skin: I smell the pear right away which is a wonderful thing since D’Anjou pear is one of my favorite BPAL single notes. It is sweet but the sour rose slices through and gives the scent a tart feel. The lily of the valley adds to the white feel of this scent. I get a crisp white and light green tone from this scent. The white musk is so clean and soft. It blankets the scent in a sheer white cotton sheet. This scent is very light and spring feeling. I wish the rose was a bit more subtle, but besides that I love it. I could see this becoming a regualr spring scent for me. It has a nice close to the skin throw that makes you lean in to smell it and a short to average wearlength.

  13. CTHULHU

    In Bottle: Men’s soap

On Skin: This has a sharp men’s soapy feel. It doesn’t really fit the description… it seems a bit too clean. I would prefer a darker feel from this, because this scent is so clean it’s actually comforting and not dark or creepy to me. It is gorgeous though, to smell at least. I don’t wear ozone or aquatic scents because they just don’t feel like me… I prefer sweeter, foody, musky and exotic scents. But I like scents like this one on men. I wouldn’t mind smelling this on my husband. It has a great strong throw and a long wearlength. A must for anyone who enjoys aquatic, clean soapy scents.

  14. AZATHOTH

    In Bottle: Vetiver

On Skin: The vetiver comes out right away, dark earthy and pungent. Vetiver is a note that doesn’t agree with me so I’m a bit worried. The cedarwood is the next dominant note, sweet but woody with a smoky tinge. The amber is also dark and adds to the menacing feel of this scent. The saffron offers an exotic spice and the tangerine is a pretty orange spark in the dark. This scent fits it’s description perfectly. It’s not a scent for me that’s for sure, the vetiver is just much too strong. It has a strong throw and long wearlength.

  15. THE REAPER AND THE FLOWERS

    In Bottle: Carnation

On Skin: The spicy carnation comes out right away, it smells like I am in the garden taking a deep whiff of carnations and chrysanthemums, so pure and realistic. As the scent develops I can smell the sharp rose in the background and also a very faint sweetness from the lily. Overall, I am not really fond of this scent. It’s a bit too bitter, soapy and sharp for my taste, but if you are a floral fan try this for sure. I prefer sweeter scents and this one is a bit too perfumey. It’s is a woman’s scent for sure... I'd even go as far to say as an older womans scent (I almost always get "Granny scent" from roses) and quite strong. It has a nice throw and lasts quite a long time.

  16. LILIUM INTER SPINAS

    In Bottle: Apple floral

On Skin: A soft apple blossom, slightly tart… with crisp florals clean and bright. The fig is tart as well, not sweet and deep like I’m used to. The florals are very sharp, a bit soapy. The sandalwood gives a gorgeous woody depth that helps mellow some of the strong floral notes. I get a very green and white tone from this, very feminine and elegant. I could see myself wearing this with wispy white linen, very refreshing and clean on a hot day. While it is very pretty, it is a bit too sour for my taste, and the florals are very strong. It is extremely perfumey and a bit overwhelming at first. It’s throw is strong but the scent fades and becomes lighter after about a half hour. It has a moderate wearlength.

  17. MANIA

    In Bottle: Fruity love!

On Skin: I get super sweet strawberry right off, almost bubblegummy. I thought there might be lotus or heliotrope in this because I get a strong sweet note like theirs. The musks are gorgeous, not overly animalistic, just deep and velvety. I also get a slightly dirty/earthy note which may be coming from the red musk. White musk usually is quite soapy on me and I don’t detect that at all here. The grapefruit is very very light, just a quick little bright star the shines through every once in a while. All in all a sweet fruity scent with a dark background that keeps it from being too cutesy or young. I would place this in the same category as Jailbait, Hollywood Babylon and Aunt Caroline’s Joy Mojo. Light throw and average wearlength.

  18. THE TEMPTATION

    In Bottle: Peach floral

On Skin: Yay for peach! I love it! But sadly, after the first 20 seconds of wearing it, the peach fades quickly. The rose comes out strong and slightly sour. This is a very tart floral scent, with the rice flower and peach blossom sweetening very lightly. The rice flower is milky and the cala lily quite perfumey. The musk gives a very subtle depth which nicely contrasts the bright florals. I’d have to say this is a very feminine scent, quite pretty and playful. It’s not overly elegant, meaning I could see wearing this for any occasion. It has a light to medium throw and average wearlength.

  19. LOVE LIES BLEEDING

In Bottle: Sweet decadent delicious yum

On Skin: This is an interesting scent! I’m not sure of the notes other than it seems delicious! It smells like velvet feels, soft, plush, rich… and I do get a gorgeous red tone from it. I do smell something resinous and I’m thinking it may be Dragon’s Blood which would explain the red feel I get from it and the sweetness. I also get chocolate! How crazy! I would never think chocolate from a floral, but I really smell chocolate, or cocoa. Sadly, that’s the only part of the scent not working for me. While I love chocolate, I don’t like smelling like it. Still, it is quite beautiful and I love how original it is and that even though it is a floral scent it’s not the traditional perfumey floral we usually think of. Very light throw and average wearlength.

  20. DEVIL'S CLAW

    In Bottle: Earthy smoky wow

On Skin: Eek! This is pure vetiver, a note that does not work on me at all. It is very earthy and there is also a very smoky note here. I also get a woody note. So yes: earthy, smoky and woody. This scent is pitch black, dark beyond dark. I can’t explain how strong it is, much too much for me. This is sadly one of my new least favorite scents… if you like Brimstone, or Djinn or strong smoky dark scents like that you may like this. Super strong throw and long wearlength.

  21. HORROR SYMPATHIQUE

    In Bottle: Honey and grapes

On Skin: Yay! Honey is the first note I smell! The beautiful BPAL honey! Then the grapes come out, tart and juicy. There are so many notes in this and they blend beautifully. I can smell the wine, dark and thick mixed with the gorgeous purple feel of the plum, the musk is deep and sexy, the carnation slightly bitter but sweetened up by the tonka and sugar cane. The benzoin and opoponax are resinous and sticky sweet as well. I don’t really smell the oakmoss though which is odd because it usually comes across very earthy in scents it’s in. While this scent has rather strong notes listed, the scent itself is quite mellow and soft. All in all a sweet honey and wine boozy blend full of fruitiness but deepened by sweet resins and musk. Very sexy, very subtle, very nice. Glad I bought a bottle! Light throw and short to average wearlength.

  22. HALOA

In Bottle: Pure yum! Eat Me and Beaver Moon combined!

On Skin: I get the cakes right away, reminding me of Eat Me... vanilla and cream. But then the grapes come out, so sweet and fruity. It smells like a dainty little fruit cake. The myrrh and frankincense are actually very subtle and add a nice warmth and spice to the scent. This is delicious and could quite possibly be the best room scent ever, especially for the holidays or whenever you need a comforting feel. It smells like a perfect end to a meal, dessert… wine… spices… candles… pure satisfaction. It is foody but not cloying, I could see eevryone enjoying this. It has a light throw and sadly fades very quickly on me. But I still love it!

  23. KRAMPUS

    In Bottle: Sexy manly leather

On Skin: This is quite sexy… wow. I think I want my husband to wear this, since it seems a bit more masculine to me. I love that it is completely naughty! The red musk is deep and pulsating and the leather is strong and smooth. It’s also quite woody and does have a slight dusty feel to it. The woody note does give a nice clean and crisp contradiction to the rest of the scent. This reminds me of the love child of Lovitar and Smut. Yum! I know I’ll try and wear it when I’m feeling naughty but I still think it’s a bit masculine for me. Dark, sexy and naughty… the three words that come to mind when I smell this. It has a medium throw and average wearlength.

  24. THE SNOW MAIDEN

    In Bottle: Winter florals

On Skin: This is a beautiful chilling winter scent. The chill comes from the hoarfroast which really does make me shiver so nicely. I get a nice pine, sweet and not overly piney. The florals are also sweet and add a nice bright feel. The berries are my favorite adding a red punch to an otherwise white/light blue scent. This does remind me of Skadi, Snow White and Ice Queen in a way. They’re all sisters. I love all four of these scents, I’m not sure what it is about them that just makes me smile. I’d say Skadi has more pine and Snow White has more floral and a berries (even though Snow White doesn’t have berries listed as a note, I get berries from it). I’m not a fan of pine on it’s own, but as soon as the sweet berries and florals pretty it up, I’m won over. A beautiful scent that I’m going to be wearing for sure and alternating with my Snow White as my “winter pretty scent”. Strong throw and long wearlength.

  25. MISKATONIC UNIVERSITY

    In Bottle: Coffee and toffee

On Skin: I get super sweet toffee from this right away with a nice kick of coffee. This smells like a big warm cup of comfort. The sweet note is gorgeous and makes me happy right away because the coffee note scared me. I’m not a huge coffee fan and thought this scent might be bitter. I get a bit of a buttery bakery smell from this as well… maybe a nice old coffeeshop with a bookstore attached? It does have a dusty note, but nothing offputting. I bet my mom would love this scent, it kind of reminds me of her since she’s a librarian. It’s delicious but I’m not sure if I’d want to smell like it… again it might be a nice room scent to add to an il diffuser or tart warmer. Very comforting, a “hug scent” for sure. Strong throw and average wearlength.
