    Bastet

Bastet was one of the first bpal imps I ever got, and when I first opened it, I hated it and put it in the back of my box. That was only like a month ago, and when I got it out again today, I don't even know what to say. At first it's all cherry, all the time. But that fades really quickly and it ends up as this awesome ambery scent that's rounded out and sweetened by the other notes. I'm not really picking up any of the musk or lotus, but I think I can detect a hint of myrrh, which I thought I wouldn't like but actually just helps make the scent even richer and warmer. I'm so glad I decided to re-test this scent, because now I'm totally in love with it!

    The Lion

The Lion stays basically the same from the imp to my skin: it's a soft, dusty amber that I love! It's very dry and doesn't change much on me. As other reviewers have said, some spice comes out later in the drydown, but for the most part it's just rich, glorious amber. Definitely in my top 5!

    Aeval

I really wanted to like this because I'm looking for something light and spring-y, but on me it was just way too floral. I left it on hoping that the tonka would balance it out, but no luck. I think it would be pretty on someone that liked florals, but they're just not for me.

    The Great Sword of War

I just got this yesterday as a frimp from a forum order, and I was a little hesitant to try it at first, because all the notes just seem kind of crazy. Plus it's like, brown. Out of the imp I got one whiff of chocolate, but that's the last I heard of that note. On it's mostly citrus for the first ten or fifteen minutes, which is fine with me because I love anything citrus. Then, when I wasn't paying attention, it changed and the tea really came out. Luckily for me, I am smelling no musk at all--red musk and I don't get along at all. I may be picking up some of the herbs in the background but for me it's this delicious citrusy tea. Awesome scent, it may be a bottle purchase for me!

    Eden

When I first opened up my imp of Eden, I was a little worried. Straight out of the imp and wet on my skin, it was in-your-face fig and honey, which was way too foody for me. Luckily, after about 5 minutes or so, it dries down into this awesome milky/spicy/creamy scent that I adore. Seriously, I can't stop sniffing this! It doesn't have much throw, but I'm mostly wearing it for me anyways! This is going straight to my bottle list.

    Black Pearl

On me, this scent is very sweet and tropical. It makes me think of summer and laying by a pool (which is great right now, when it's raining outside). Definitely a warm-weather scent. I smell the coconut for sure, and everything else for me is a creamy backdrop. It is a little reminiscent of suntan oil, but not in a overwhelming or bad way. Also, I get no floral from this at all, which is great because florals do really bad things on my skin. This isn't a big bottle for me, but I'll definitely use up the imp during the summer!

    Job Interview Recommendations

I totally agree! I have an interview coming up in a week and I'm wearing Manhattan for sure. I love it--it's really sleek and sophisticated and perfect for interviews. Plus it just makes me feel happy and confident, which is probably what's most important.
