    The Candy Butcher 2006

In the bottle this is a definite chocolate experience. You can't help being reminded of Bliss except for that little bit of a cream scent that lurks underneath the chocolate. On my skin, the chocolate scent surges and then begins to back off a bit as the cream scent comes forward. For a while the cream scent gets a little pushy and goes slightly sour; I like sour cream, but not on my skin. Eventually the scent becomes more chocolate again, with a hint of the sourness. It's ok, but I prefer Bliss so I probably won't get another bottle of this.

    Antonino, The Carny Talker

In the bottle I liked this...mostly what I could smell was lavender with the other components mixed in. On my skin though..yuck! For me this truly does not work at all...it takes on a strong lemonly scent that is almost overwhelming; my husband smelled it on my wrist and likened the smell to that of a dirty dog. I don't think it is quite that bad, but it doesn't smell good. We did try it on him and it smells a little better on him, but not great. I've had it on for about half an hour; most of the lemony scent has faded, and I'm now getting just the faintest hint of the vetiver, but this still isn't working for me at all. Sigh, it is a disappointment, the description of the blend looked so good. You can't win them all.

    Dragon Moon 2006

This really reminds me of Aizen-Myoo...must be the cherry blossom and tea. I can't smell the dragon's blood at all, which I think is strange since dragon's blood is usually a strong scent. The whole feel of Dragon Moon is a green and fresh scent and I'm finding it very pleasant. Glad I got two bottles of it.

    Mandrake

I'm sort of disappointed on this one. On my skin it goes cedar scented. Not bad, but I don't see another bottle of this in my future. Edit: While the predominating scent of this seems to be cedar-like, I seem to be detecting an almost sweet underscent...something sweet just under the surface.

    Destroying Angel

This one reminds me of Zombi, but without the roses. It is a sharp, sort of dirt scent.

    Death Cap

Strangely enough, on me Death Cap sort of morphs into a kind of musty, earthy coconut. Strange, but not unpleasant.

    Zombi

When I first opened this all I could smell is dirt. Not a great beginning as I'm not overly fond of the dirt scents. I put the lid back on and vigorously shook the bottle. Once well shaken...in the bottle...the scent of roses with the moss scents is an almost medicinal, plastic scent. Wet on my skin, the plastic and medicinal scent morphs almost immediately and becomes a rose scent. The other scents stay more in the background but they add a different tang to the rose scent. On total dry down, this takes on a scent that reminds me of a rose that had been lying in the dirt, picked up from the ground, brushed off and pressed between the pages of a book where it had been for years, becoming dry and lifeless... but to whomever opens the book, still offering up its rose scent, mixed with just a hint of earth. A rose scented oil with a uniqueness all its own. It's nice.

    Death

In the bottle this smells strongly smoky to me...it almost reminds me of charred wood that is left over from a camp fire, or in a wood stove. There is something mingling with the smoky smell ( I assume the smoke smell is vetiver), which has an almost medicinal scent (I wish I was more familiar with the various components Beth uses, well hopefully as time goes on I will learn). I do think that I am catching a faint hint of earth scent too. Wet on my skin the oil takes on a sort of smoky, leathery scent. After it has dried down, the smoke and leather moderate considerably, and Death becomes soft and slightly powdery on me. An unusual blend; it won't be a favorite of mine, but I do like it.

    Nocnitsa

In the bottle: I smell the pine first, in a good way, not a Pine Sol way...there is a scent under the pine, it seems slightly sour. Wet on my skin: After a surge of almost menthol scent which doesn't last very long, the pine scent goes more woody. I smell the upturned earth but it is fading very quickly. Dry: I thought this was dying out fast on my skin, but my husband could smell my perfume from three feet away...obviously I was simply used to it. The final drydown seems to be a woodsy, soily scent. I'm finding it very pleasant.

    Aizen-Myoo

This is an absolutely wonderful scent; so yummy in fact that I wonder what was I thinking when I ordered only 5ml of it. In the bottle its sharp, tangy scent leaps out and grabs a hold of me. On my skin the sharpness moderates a bit, but there is still a tang as if from the rind of a citrus fruit. The blossom scent is just discernable and adds more dimension to the overall effect. I love this...I can see this may well become one of my "staples"...one of the must have at all times scents.

    Chimera

I first received Chimera in an imp and wasn't really sure about it. After I tried it...love. I am partial to cinnamon containing blends, but I believe this one is my favorite. The cinnamon's sharpness is moderated and enriched by the sweetness of the honeysuckle, but it isn't a sickening sweetness...it is fresh and clean, almost tasty.
