  1. OK, Facebook - help me out. I need a Registered name for 'Merwin'. See comments below. Give me ideas - you are all creative types, right?

  2. My poor, sweet, non-hypocritical Christian Mom. One of her children turned out to be an Atheist, the other a Witch. I wonder which is scarier?

  3. I am tutoring my Grandma in the ways of Facebook. Everybody say "hi"!

  4. Wishing you all a glorious Litha! Embrace the sun and all the good things summer brings.

  5. I love my nephew very, very much. I would donate a kidney to him, I would run into a burning building to rescue him. I love spending time with him, and I'm very gratified that he enjoys spending time with me. And still, there is nothing like settling down (bushed!) at the end of a monkey day to make me happy that I'm child-free. :-)

  6. Oh, dear. I think my nephew taught my dog to work the ice dispenser in my freezer door.

  7. Missed daily puppy updates the last two days, as I never turned on a computer. Wow! The outpouring of what can best be called pouting among my friends was quite impressive.

  8. Missing my grandpa, and my Uncle Mel. Thanks to all who serve.

  9. Am I the only one who still grieves the end of 'Calvin and Hobbes'?

  10. OK, "Merwin" (as Jones calls him) was 18 pounds and 14" at the withers at 15 weeks. This is almost 200% of the normal size for a Sheltie his age. Just call him Dogzilla!

  11. Since the Rapture is coming this weekend, and we will be two of the many sinners left behind, Spencer and I are ignoring the budget and going out to dinner tonight.

  12. Thinking of my wonderful Uncle Clint, who would have been 60 years old today. I miss him. Also thinking of my Dad and my second mom, Debra, who are celebrating thier anniversary today. Love them both so much.

  13. Free to good home: one unopened package of Cocoa Crispies

  14. Sigh. These prevention trainings are hard work, but I always get such good compliments. Today, two people told me I should work in broadcasting, "because you have such an amazing, beautiful voice.". I'm taking the compliment even if they were sucking up to have me narrate their spots.

  15. A blessing for moms: "With the first light of sun, ...Bless you. When the day is done, ...Bless you. In your smile and in your tears, ...Bless you. Through each day of all your years, ...Bless you." ~Irish mother blessings~

  16. Dichotomy of truth:"I've never wished a man dead, but I've read some obituaries with great pleasure." - Mark Twain

  17. Sleepy, happy Beltane to you all!

  18. Just took Cerberus for a rainy walk.

  19. Sending out a long distance 'Happy Birthday!' to my sweet, smart, geeky, funny, wonderful husband.

  20. Puppy class may well be the best thing in the entire universe.

  21. When the husband is away, the wife will cook an excellent supper for herself. Tonight's menu: Steak with pepper-and-pineapple glaze, spinach salad, corn on the cob, and pineapple/chocolate fondue.

  22. So, I'm in my monthly cohort for Prevention classes. As before, we have 27 students, of whom 3 are named 'Nicole'. This time, our instructors divided us into groups by birth month. All Nicoles were born in January and in the same group. Our one additional member's name? Nick. This is getting surreal.

  23. My father-in-law had a beloved pet dog, who was a huge part of his daily motivation for taking care of himself. Sadly, Makita was killed last week by a much larger dog. My FIL had a stroke the next day. Spencer is flying back to Colorado for a week to be with his father, as well he should. So, local folk - I am left home with a sprained wrist and back. May I ask for a little help, pretty please?

  24. Falling-up-the-stairs update: I have multiple minor injuries which should cause me no long-term difficulties. But - no computer use with my right hand for TWO WEEKS! Only one-handed, lefty Facebooking for me.
