Death flu gradually receding. Going to the garden center this morning wore me out, but I still have enough energy to play Mass Effect 3. This is progress!

I am now a Certified Prevention Specialist! If I wanted to be as pretentious as possible, I could list credentials after my name that would equal a whopping 25 letters. And I _still_ have to correct people who call me "Doctor".

Odd thing about working for the State: running into the Governor coming out of the bathroom. Not as odd as if I'd run into him _in_ the bathroom, I'll grant you.

I made it home before 6:00 p.m.! W00t!

Current estimate puts vet expenses to be 1/6 of our gross income this month. It's like the pets are an IRA, only fuzzier and with more rapid dividends.

It's been more than six weeks since the last 'oops'. Merlin now rings a bell when he needs to go outside. I believe I can now say that my puppy is fully housetrained. Yay!

New job tomorrow!

Just got a lot of hair chopped off. This may be the shortest my hair has been since I was an infant. (Mom? Dad? How short did you keep my hair when I was a kid?)

For the next three days, I am an unemployed lady of leisure. So far, it's pretty darn nice.

Heading for bed before my very last day working at Cascadia. I was 25 and single when I started working there. It's been quite a journey.

Excellent end to the week. Loki is doing well - the inflammation in his digestive tract is healing every day, and he's back to his old self. Top that off with a day of D&D with friends - how can you go wrong?

Loki is much better again this morning. He is gobbling up his Dr.-mandated bland diet and looking around for more.

People who get easily upset, and those who don't sometimes like animals better than people, don't read the comments.

Mr. Loki is feeling considerably better this morning. He is not fully in the clear, but he is no longer whimpering and trembling, and he is walking around a bit and asking for scritches.On a related note, I could never staff the desk at an all night animal hospital. That is a rough, rough place to spend the wee hours.

X-rays were negative for anything life-threatening - yay! Loki is getting subcutaneous fluids and painkillers right now. He gets to go home for the night and to his beloved Dr. Fletcher tomorrow if he is not all better.

Loki is in X-ray right now. Will update when we get results.

Today, I sent out my email notification that I am resigning from the company I've worked for for 17+ years. It was a very strange feeling - momentous and mundane at the same time.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to realize that, "I'm going to spend the day watching football" actually means "I'm going to spend the day napping on the couch with the pets and occasionally asking you to bring me beverages." ;-)
