Fall 2016 Switch Witch Questions Part II
Tarot cards/oracle decks - yay or nay? Yay!
If yay, do you already have any? Yes
Which ones? Rider-Waite, Hanson-Roberts, Cat People, Vertigo, Zombie Tarot.
Cryptozoology/cryptids (Big Foot, lake monsters, chupacabra, etc.) - yay or nay? Not really, although I suspect the chorkie may actually be a baby chupacabra.
I'm a honey affecionado (I really love honey) and our renn Faire has a local honey booth we go to every year and our trip is coming up. Anything from http://www.beefolks.com/default.asp suit your fancy in particular (honey or otherwise since they have other products?)
Candles are great. So are lip balms with beeswax and other products. I usually get my honey from a local apiary right down the road from me, although they tend to have one variety only. It's fun to try honey from different sources, like locust honey, sourwood, etc. Haven't done that in a while.
Any other renn Faire goodies in general? I have a friend who is a wood carver there and they make adorable geeky pins amount other things and Harry Potter wands? Here are the artisans there: http://www.rennfest....mation/artisans
I love stuff like this. Right now I'm crazy for writing utensils and other implements of destruction--new pen nibs, different ink colors, etc. I love the kinds of things available at these faires in general--the jewelry, journals, scarves and shawls, window hangings, just about anything, really.
The second part of the Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in? I don't think I've ever tried them, but I'm always open. (Ooh, they have pumpkin and maple lip balms?)
Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc? No, but I do tend to like "witchy" objects (the name might be a clue!)
Anyone hankering for Craftsy (http://www.craftsy.com) classes? Through tomorrow all classes are $20 or under. I'd love to, but I just don't have the time.
Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? Feel free to elaborate on preferences for any of the above!
No on jigsaw puzzles (I have some I haven't worked), yes on sudoku, iffy on coloring books (the random patterns don't seem as interesting as things like Harry Potter, Marvel comic book characters, etc.). Card games and board games that I can play with friends are fantastic. We play stuff in the vein of Guillotine, Talisman, Scattergories, Betrayal at House on the Hill.
Elements & Artifacts has a fall/halloween collection up? Anything catch your eye? Wow, really pretty stuff there . . . I'd find a home for almost all of it, but I especially love the candy corn bracelet.
Would you like some hair falls? I can make a single (ponytail) or double (for pigtails). Short, long, types of yarns, ribbons? Extra things (buttons, beads, wire wraps? Colors/color combinations? Stuff to avoid?
They're gorgeous, but not really for me. I do like hair jewelry (clips, barrettes, pins, etc.).
Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there?
Just never got around to putting one together.
Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay? Never tried them, but would.
would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings.
I love notebooks, stationary, blank cards, etc. I love all kinds of pens, colored pencils, inks, even sealing wax.
If you are ok with knitted things, what colors do you like?
Purples, blues, greens, rich reds (not yellow-toned), burgundy, black
If striping, what two (or more) colors together?
Autumny-colors (orange/yellow/white, black and red, black and bright green and/or purple, gold and crimson . . .)
If you want yarn, what colors do you want?
No yarn for me, please!
Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc.
Please no! I have fabric I'd like to pass on, actually . . . Need any fabric? Lace? Notions?
What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer? Coffee: milder is better, also like flavors such as pumpkin, chocolate, etc., ground needed
Tea: loose or bagged is fine. Not crazy about green teas, but both teas with caffeine or herbals are good. I really loved Island Rose Vanilla Rum, for an example.
If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer? All of those things sound great. I do love me some fingerless gloves! (I think I've mentioned that before . . .) Also, I have a gorgeous set of photographs of an antique carousel my very first witch, DinerDulcinea, made for me. They're still hanging on my wall today.
What are your favorite fandoms, if any? I don't really participate much with other fans. Right now some of my favorite things, in no particular order, are Penny Dreadful, Steven Universe (I never thought I'd like this, but I do! So, so much!), Ms. Marvel, The Evil Dead, Jessica Jones . . .
Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use? I'm OK with sugar scrubs, salt scrubs, etc. I do try to avoid anything too drying or too oily (not only would it break me out, I don't want Jack to slip in the shower!)
Bath/shower products? Heaven and Earth Essentials Shine-On Shampoo and Damage Remedy Conditioner. Whatever body wash seems like a good idea at the time.
BPTP products? Pre-owned okay? Absolutely! I really want to try more hair glosses (I have a bottle of Kill Devil and that's all). I used to love Hell's Belle nail polish, so I'd like to try some others. Never tried the bath oils or anything bigger than a goblin squirt of the atmosphere spray, so not sure about those. I miss the lockets--my Clocket is one of my favorite things--and the gorgeous lunacy tees they used to have.
Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay? They would be great, although I don't have a burner right now, so I'm a bit limited in using them.
Favorite animal? My dogs! In a more general sense, horses and crows . . . And apparently Pottermore thinks my patronus is a squirrel.
Twilight Alchemy Lab oils? Yes. Jinx Removing, Lionheart, Wolf's Heart (good layered with the GC blend, I think). There are still a lot I haven't tried, too, and of course small batch are always intriguing.
