Switch Witch 2011! UPDATED

Updated with the 2011 questions.March 25   Are you interested in trying Super Villainess (from Villainess - the birthday scent that was just released tonight!) and if so, which item do you like the most? (Soap, Whipped, Smooch, Extrait, Smack...) I am, but only the whipped or the extrait. Most Villainess products tend to dry me out but the scent combo is kind of amazing sounding. I LOVE CILANTRO.   If I were to order you a Smack, which four notes would you like? Smacks unfortunately dry my skin out so...no thank you. *feels like a jerk*   Would you enjoy receiving a knitted gift from your witch? If so what would you be interested in (scarf, hat, wrist / handwarmers, socks, etc.) and in what colors? I'm a spazz for a hood or fingerless gloves but I'm moving to California soon where I hear I wont need stuff like that.   March 23   Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? The only kind of easter candy I like are those eggs with the what not inside. But I can pass on those. I generally eat one a season and call it good.   What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? CROWLEY. Tezcatlipoca, my first GC love.   March 22   Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? Honestly, there are quite a few that sound amazing to me. Fairy Changeling and Morrigan first and foremost, Cauldron and Fairy Shoemaker to a lesser extent. I've tried their scents before and was less than impressed but you never know.   What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? Ooooo how about dessert wines? I like Malbecs and Grenaches, French Chards, Spanish wines. I don't like most Italians. And I do like dessert wines, medeiras are YUMMY.         March 21   What three things are you craving right now? I always want ice cream, sleep and sex.   paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. I'm kind of a paper junkie. I might not do anything with it! But I would love it forever   What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Honestly, the Elf and Half Elf scents have me kind of freaking out and I am kind of kicking myself for not doing an ISO/Fairy for WC. I always want to try the 13 scents. Misk U v3 sounds awesome...   Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) Not really.       March 19   If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? Would you be creeped out if a local minion personally delivered a package to your house from a far-away Witch? If someone related to BPAL came to visit I would weep. I have been kind of lonely lately and I would glomp them and say, 'WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THIS LAST YEAR!?' So keep in mind, you may be assaulted if you come by my house.   Let's say I have a pair of something you collect, would you like one of them and we have matching things? That would be cool     March 18   Do you like poetry? HAIL! POETRY! THOU HEAVEN BORNE MAID! THOU GILDEST EVEN THE PIRATE'S TRADE!   Okay but seriously, I like poetry but I don't read it a lot, not anymore.   What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? I usually dont scent my house.   What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? Comics are awesome. I love Sky Doll, Rasputin Barxotka, Dissident Priest, Poison Elves, the newer Conan ones...I love Noah and Jehu from Sky Doll. Noa is the only comic char I've considered getting a tattoo of.   How do you feel about nail polish? What colors do you like? Sparkles? I like the idea. Sparkly nail polish is kind of what nail polish is all about, right? Could use some green or brown sparkly stuff.   Household/kitchen goods/gadgets? Kind of a kitchen gadget junkie. I love to cook.   Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these? I am a huge freaking geek. I read comics, watch geeky shows (Currently watching the BBC Being Human, loved Caprica, Firefly, Star Trek TNG and DS9. I write fantasy stories. And I play RPGs when I can. I would gladly take anything related to any of this.   Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? e.g. velvet, satin, silk, cotton, bamboo??? Would this change if it were an article of clothing vs. a bag/pillow/blanket/somethingelse: I dont like synthetics. Kind of want to have a sheepskin one day.   Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? Not really. I would like to try the Japanese ones. I'm more peeing my pants over the impending RPG update.   March 17   Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? I'm set.   Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? Pillows? I honestly have no idea what I would do with a pillow.   purses? bags? What style/colors? I need a new over the shoulder bag. I have a few on my etsy wishlist/favorites to show the style. I like solid colors. I'm very adverse to stuff with random things screenprinted on them.   Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? Sure! Greens, browns, leaves, flowers, golds, silvers, deep blues, blacks. I'm game!   Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? I don't know those people but I'm always open to new things. I use Toms of Maine for deoderant.   March 16   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I usually wear warm colors? Browns or reddish browns. I myself am pretty brown so it has to match.   Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. Vanilla extracts, cinnamons, cocoa powders...totally!   What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? Favorite animal? Totally the turtle. If I had to choose a totem animal, it would be the turtle. Also like octopi, squids, snails, nautiluses, crabs, owls and hawks.   If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want? Elf or Half Elf or Ranger. Anything RPG related   DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? Honestly, neither. We don't have a drive. We are internet pirates (DON'T TELL!).   Sock Dreams? What kind? (anklets, footies, etc.?) No socks, please.   Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? Honestly, either one. SW should be fun for the giver. I realize the ambiguous answer might send you into a tizzy because it is the opposite of helpful/specific. I guess one package at the end and pokes and links during the round would be more than acceptable.   Do you like pirate-related things? Honestly? Kind of no. When I think pirate I think 'Sea-faring rapist glamorized with showers and eye liner.' Yeah.   Soaps? Be specific: if there are BPAL soaps you want to try or are dying for more of, tell all here! Also, any other companies people like or love? Villainess, maybe? Or Lush? What flavors??? The only soaps that I can use that I know of are Dr. Bronners in baby mild and the soaps at The Beer Soap company/Zaja Natural. I have very dry skin and I have to be careful or I turn into a dustpile. A sentient one, but still.   What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? I LOVE BOOZE, I mean..yeah. Sure. I work at a liquor store so I have access to lots of thangs. But I love peaty scotches. Scotch.   Steampunk inspired items? Yay or nay? It really depends. I think gears slapped onto stuff is sloppy and stupid. However, I saw a mechanical foetus in a belljar that was absolutely fabulous. Basically, I appreciate things that are well made.   Do you like amurigami dolls? I think they are super cute! An elf one would be cute!   Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies - who wins? Which do you love most? None of these. OCTUPUS OR ELF.   Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. I generally don't but recently my hair has acquired sound effects and needs decorations. Anything sylvan would be welcome. Or the kind that claw into your hair. My hair is fun.   Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? Ear, yep.   Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things) Caramel? YES. Salt? YES? Fruits or nuts? NO, PLEASE. I am up for other weird stuff because I'm always down to try new things. Rittersport chocolate is my hero.     March 14   surprise! the world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? Sleep in, read, write, lay outside...troll etsy for an hour   Do you have any blogs you regularly read? I read webcomics (Oglad, Vaslittlecrow, Godsend, FreakAngels), nerd blogs (Gnomestew, Nevermet Press) and my friends' blog (CrazyAverage.com)   Do you need another bpal box? Especially fantasy stuff.   March 11   Would you rather have HUGE list of things your witchee wants to try or just a highlight list? Eith...wait, waht?   March 10   Baked Goods? Yea Nay? SURE.   If not Baked goods and you are changing eating habits..a book of recipes perhaps that will help the new eating lifestyle? Sure but not changing my eating habits.   If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW (Not that any of you will make any bpal orders until SW is over, because you do NOT want to mess up any plans your witch might have!) What would you order (from lab, forum, DD, TradingPost, etc) If I had unlimited dough? Double up on Crowley, a Thanatopsis, a Tintagel, a Bess believe it or not, I would get another Ein Kuss Von Krampus or two...oh man. Actually, I kind of want another leathery scent. Hmm.   What level of nudity are you fine with on items? Ex: none, tasteful, erotica Hmm. I guess all of it, it just depends the format.   I know the ?airre asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? No underpants or hats or socks.   Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounce sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? Yeah, I cook a lot so cooking stuff is always good Different salts, coriander is always good.   Do you like any particular kinds of green or black teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I like coffee, darker roasts, black tea and pu-erh   Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) Chocolate D: My kid likes dried fruits a lot. A LOT.

Answers to Questions posed 9/15 by my Witch :D

Tell me more about your gaming likes and dislikes. Do you play games other than D&D? Which edition of D&D? Are there books or supplements you're looking for? What's your favorite weapon/spell/magic item? Describe one of your favorite characters for me.   Oh man...you asked for it. INUNDATION.   First and foremost, I like ROLEplaying, not ROLLplaying. I don't like sessions that are mostly hack and slash. I spend a LOT of time making my chars with their backstories, goals, connections, etc. I do want my chars to be effective in battle (who doesn't like to kick ass) but I do tend to pick abilities based on background.   I have played long campaings(sp?) before. I've mostly played DnD (3.5 and 4E), but have played two Feng Shui campains, played a few games of White Wolf and a home brew (spouse made a game based on 1,000 Blank White Cards). I had a lot of fun playing the DnD and the Feng Shui, with the Feng Shui being more enjoyable because it's non stop silliness when we play (I played a Scrappy Kid/Japanese School Girl and a Smuggler/Samuel L Jackson type lover of noodles). White Wolf was fun but it is darker and no one DM has been able to pull it off long enough for me to really enjoy it. And I have never LARPed. Not interested.   Books I am looking for? Not really but I do like the artwork in a lot of the books. I'll be honest, we're asshole pirates. Most books, I can find. But fantasy artbooks for inspiration? Awesome. I love Tony DiTerlizzi's artwork for Planescapes. Actually, I love that setting, Planescapes. All the other settings (Ravenloft, Faurun) sound awesome. But when we play, we usually do homebrews :/ That was probaby super unhelpful.   Favorite Weapon/Spell/Magic Item: Ah...my favorite 'magic item' that was a joke I came up with was a 'vorpal sap.' I always talked about it and when I GMed, all my chars were afraid of saps they came across. It was ridiculous. Favorite item that one of my chars has had personally? Hmm...I don't think I've had many sweet magic items. I always get attached to more personal, 'mundane' items. My elf druid had a creepy ass mask made out of plant detrius that he made himself. He made them. My half elf rogue had a set of lockpicks that were hand picked by her over the years, pieces of bone, metal, knitting and crochet items, hat pins and needles all augmented by her to get the job done. Oh, well...when I was a wizard/bard, I made broomsticks of Mount so we wouldn't need horses. I used Rope Trick a lot as that char, and Lightening...kill of get the hell away when you have a few hit points. A player and I joked about making a Rope Belt of Rope Trick. I swear, it wasn't all shenanigans like this! When I was a ranger, I used...what the hell was it...the one where you make plants grow up and grab people. My druid once used Summon Animal to conjure up a monkey to help him knock someone out of a spell induced stupor (yes, the monkey flew through the air, landed on the person's head and went crazy on him. It worked).   ONE of my fave chars?! GAH! ONE?! **falls over**   Well...   I will say Tavera. Because she started off as a DnD char and then...well, I wrote a freaking book about her. A whole book. It's finished. That probably propels her above the others. I've had some great chars, very well received chars, but I never wrote BOOKS about them and their friends. I seperate book Tavi from DnD Tavi because well, I had to give her stats and what not, make her fit in the game so there was something lost in translation. She is a half elf rogue that grew up among humans. She had an Oliver Twist like upbringing for her childhood and was eventually rescued from a life of potential prostitution by her adopted father, Derk. She became a thief and after he initiation into a Thieves Guild, witnessed her father being taken in by the authorities. Per his request, she struck out on her own and made friends, became involved in various things and learned things about herself as her life circled back. She has dark, short hair that can make her look boyish, a slim frame, a mouth that borders on too big for her face, a pert nose and dark eyes. I played her with a British accent (think Mason from Dead Like Me). She always carried the gold ribbon from her initiation and her rosary as she is somewhat devoted to the Goddess the people in her region favor (it helps that as a poor, hungry child, the priestesses took her in many a time). She seems like an extrovert but is actually introverted. One of her ears has the point cut off of it, an injury from an old employer that ended badly. No siblings that she knows of, biological parents whereabouts unknown. I mean...I wrote a book about the woman.     **deep breaths** Whoa.

Warning: I am out of coffee.   Questions from lioness' blog.   Are there any particular movies, tv shows or cd’s that you’ve been meaning to buy for years but just never got round to getting? Would you mind a gently used dvd/cd if your witch had it or could get it?? I actually think I have most every movie I want. Being a pirate helps. Is there anything from the Possets' Hallowe'en update you're lusting after? No. Would you like a custom/altered toy either from a seller or from your witch (like My Little Pony, or a Barbie or any particular toy that can be changed?) No thank you. Do you like the candy apple, candy corn or pumpkin spice kisses? No thank you Anne Taintor, anyone? I have no idea who that is. Which web comics do you enjoy? Order of the Stick, Speaks with Monsters and..Oglaf (NSFW). Notice a theme?   If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist? I think I answered this questions. Don't like scarves? Would a rectangular shawl or triangular shawl be more to your taste? I like scarves but like rectangular shawls as well How do you feel about recipes? I love recipes. I like pictures with them of the end product What kind of a cook/baker are you? I am a pretty good cook and baker. I like to cook and like to figure out recipes myself from time to time/improvise. I really do like cooking for my fam but right now have a hard time making food just for a little kid and myself. I like to make roasts and use the leftover. I use my cast iron pan as much as I can and will be using my crockpot a lot this winter. Baking, I wish I did more. The thing I bake the most is bagels, believe it or not. I have a stand mixer that I LOVE. You reminded me, I have to get good cookie sheets. Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program? I've actually considered trying out for that Food Network contest...:/ We also don't have a microwave. If I send you something home made would you like the reciepe for it? That would rock. If you are someone who doesn't want baked goods sent, would you like a collection of some of my favorite recipes? Either would work. How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? Sure but no raisins. I hate raisins. if you are a tea lover, what are your flavor preferences? Green? Black? Herbal (I know, technically those are NOT teas, but tisanes)? Flavored blacks/greens? Okay, I copied and pasted the questions and answers from someone on the SW thread; hopefully I am caffeinated enough to do this right.   I think I did this right!   9/22/10 Do you have a deviantart print wishlist or favourites list?: Minime, amice. That means 'No, friend' in Latin. To my knowledge. Is there anything from Blooddrop that you want to try? GC? Halloween update?: I havent even looked at the Blooddrop site in a long time. I am happy with the 2 (3?) etailers I have, heh What kind of shoes do you need/want? What size shoes do you wear? Would you mind gently used shoes? I wear size 10s. I guess I *SHOULD* come up with shoes I want/need because I don't have many...but I only ever wear like, earth shoes or things of that nature. A pair of ballet flats would be nice. I did recently get a pair of smoking hot Clark's boots. Brown would be good. EDIT: Lovely Witchee, I purchased the Pharaoh Moon since it was a 24 hour exclusive and I was almost peeing myself with desire for it.   I unfortunately looked at the VA (Vampire Apothecary) updates...and well...ugh. Want. I have it. I have want in my brain and nose and heart.   Also expect more shameful desire on the Nocturne Alchemy NAlloween update October 1st.   *cries pitifully*   Look away from the update if you want to do yourself a favor! Stare not into it's odiferous loveliness!

More SW: Please, no Unicorns. Now, with urine.

About The Last Unicorn.   I am not interested in The Last Unicorn scents because they are The Last Unicorn. I don't have any kind of attachment to it as a memory so I'm not peeing myself with glee over it, though I *totally* understand why other people are peeing themselves with glee. However if the notes are released and they sound up my alley, well, my ears will perk up.   When Lovecraft stuff comes out, I squee. When the RPG scents were announced I almost hyperventilated. If they ever came up with anything Conan, Sky Doll (highly fucking unlikely) or Futurama, I would probably have to rush to the bathroom.   However, even as much as I love these things, it comes down to notes. If all the Sky Doll scents had white florals, I would pass. And cry. If Conan has heavy incense and wood, I would find a bat and start hitting things with it and pass.   So yeah.   Okay, Disney Heroes? I like that Belle reads but I am seriously not a fan of Disney Princesses. Technically, Belle isn't a princess till the end of the movie. I mean, I assume they get married. Do they? Maybe they just live together. Who knows, they are French (JOKING!).   But again, I love Atlantis. I love it so much. I also really love The Road To El Dorado, which is Dreamworks I believe. That's a FABULOUS movie. And I like Titan A.E.   Crocheted animals: Did I answer this? I love those animals because they are SO FRAKKING CUTE. But...I don't collect stuffed animals, anymore. My daughter has a amigurumi(sp?) Cthulhu that she LOVES. I would rather learn how to make the little bastards.   Touristy stuff: We don't have a lot of storage space in this apartment and all our stuff on display is either dorky or made of stone or wood. We don't collect shot glasses, I'm trying to not wear t-shirts, tiny spoons, what are those for? If it's the kind of stuff you get in the airport, I will say, please, no, don't send it. But a leaf from where you live? That'd be cool! Or a stone? AWESOME!   Monsters in general: Not a super fan, I am not into this whole Vampire craze. I like werewolves just a bit, lycanthropes. My favorite show about beasties is Being Human. I freaking LOVE that show.   VApothecary/Nocturne Alchemy NAlloween updates: I know I want stuff from VA And I will inevitably want things from the NA update. If you haven't tried them, you should check NA out. They have VERY wearable florals; I used to shun them and now, I like them, but only with these guys. Also, their scents morph a lot, generally into something very yummy. Nocturne Alchemy satifsfied my perpetual interest/obsession with Ancient Egypt and well, when the Full Moon Apothecary opens up, again, with the pee, everywhere.   So there.   Witch, I hope you are having a good weekend!

En espanol! Just kidding!   Witch O'Mine, I wanted to say thank you for the wonderful package. It was very sweet. I have been kind of missing Portland a little bit so wonderful tea from there made me happy. I wore the earrings to work! And my daughter loved the stickers! I hope you saw the comments she made in the IGI thread. She put the owl stickers all over herself, heh. Portents to come. A tattooed baby. And the chocolate was very yummy I needed a sweet fix yesterday night and the xocolatl was good! Sweet enough to satisfy me but spicy enough to keep me from eating the whole thing!   You are very sweet and good at making cards too And packaging   Here is more ketchup for you:   Sugar Skull: Now that I know I'm not supposed to eat it, I am open to it. However, I live in the South. I dont know how that would affect said sugar skull. But I don't do a day of the dead thing. Like most Americans, I don't think about dead people in my family, just numbers in the news and what not.   Lentils: I like lentils, especially french lentils. I make lentil soup a lot in the winter months. My daughter loves any kind of soup and my spouse loves lentils. I make a pretty mean lentil soup. A bit of white wine and thyme goes a long way.   Purses: I have two purses. A utilitarian bag with lots of space/pockets for a mom and a black 'leather' purse for when I don't need to schlep stuff. I pretty much always need to schlep stuff though, hehe. And my bags ALWAYS need handles! I cannot do a clutch! I would lose it.   Haunt Update: I haven't looked at it :/ Tengo miedo para me cartera.   I like beets. I make beet salsa! If you cut beets up into little cubes, spread them out on a baking sheet after sprinkling on a bit of olive oil and salt, roast them at 400 degrees till they're done (I know, real descriptive...keep an eye on them after 20 mins?), then put in a bowl with chopped red onion, cilantro, garlic, lime juice and a splash of red vinegar, let it chill in the fridge for a bit and you will have yummy salsa ready for fish tacos! It's yummy!   Okies, that is all! I LOVE YOU, WITCH!

More SW: just a question or two.

Scent for a place you lived. I grew up in NYC. I don't really want a perfume that smells like pollution, garbage and humanity. I'd be more interested in something homey. Rice cooking, cooking spices, a lived in house...the smell I miss the most is my spouse. And I miss the cooking smells that mean he's on his way home to have a meal with us. But the smell of rice or even grains cooking is very comforting, rice especially. It's why I love Ghoul Hooligan so much, it has a 'cereal cooking in milk' smell as well as the spice, and the funk and the chocolate.   *sigh*   Well, I just made myself sad.

More SW: A thanks and of course, more ketchup

First of all, I want to say thank you for mentioning my daughter in the card you sent. It really meant a lot to me and was very sweet. I appreciate it.   Rollerballs: I don't need any but I suspect my daughter does. She spilled a partial bottle of Beaver Moon all over herself the other day (granted, she said she *wanted* to spill it all over herself...but yeah). That reminds me of something, thanks Witch!   Villainess: Okay, ALL of the new ones sound great :/ However, I am lamenting the fact that my skin is on the dryer side and does not always agree with their soap. I am a lazy moisturizer! It's sad, I know! It's because I don't always have time after I shower (at night) to properly moisturize. Even the smooches, with all their oily goodness dry me out. I think I need to only stick to their Whippeds Though I might get a pumpkin soap for my daughter, her skin is way more forgiving than mine and she just finished her bar of Pieman I like giving her the super foodie scents   I hope you are having a good week, Witch! Autumn came in with rain and cool weather and I am very happy because of it. I'm actually a BIT nostalgic for the NW!

Hello, Witch! I hope you are having a good weekend!   More ketchup for you, in case you want it. I haven't had all my coffee yet so bear bad spelling, grammatical errors and downright wrongness.   Pomegranates: I love to eat pomegranates. I havent had one in a while. Pomegranate flavored stuff is okay, though I prefer the real thing. I love pomegranate juice.   Notes top ten! In no particular order:   1. Chocolate/cocoa (especially) 2. Leather (especially) 3. Patchouli 4. Red Musk 5. Um.....Vetiver! 6. Pine or Birch (but not 'wood.') 7. Cognac? 8. Incense but in moderation 9. Salt?? Spices? 10. ??? Beer? Wine?     Maybe this would help. Favorite scents are Ghoul Hooligan, Crowley, Tintagel, Miller v. Cali, Lawn Gnome, Thanatopsis, Tezcatlipoca. Tezcatlipoca was my first BPAL love. The kind of scent I like is altered foody. Food with something else in it to make it not foody. I'm wearing Calaveras right now and it's nice. If it's too foody, it is usually boring to me (I'm looking at you, Mother Shub's Spiced Lait de Chevre). I like War too. Thanatopsis is an example of a not foody scent that I like. I'm pretty unforgiving with my bottles. If I don't love it and/or it lacks throw and longevity, I generally rehome it. Things that I have rehomed include Raven Moon, Mountain of Bone, Giant Squid, Lead Phoenix, Fledgling Raptor Moon, Tombstone, Antique Lace, Manhattan, Juke Joint, Mr. Ibis, Buggre All This Bible, Green Tree Viper, etc. I hated Shub Niwhatever because I tend to amp incense so it goes from love to me turning into a walking temple and then people start bowing down and sacrificing animals to be and there's blood and well. You get the idea. Cthulhu in Love is great until the incense becomes the main note and then isn't interesting.   Nocturne Alchemy is my other perfume love and so it bears to mention I love their: honey, kyphi, vanilla, lavender, lotus, sand (yes, this is a note for them, heh), Egyptian Musk, Sapphire, Nokturne2, Sapphire, Cream, Carnation, Coconut, Spices, etc. I can actually wear their florals without dying. My faves of theirs are Eternal Ankh, Blue Egypt, Hathor, Diety Moon: Bastet...Eternal Egypt...I have a lot of theirs still to test, I have notes somewhere. Gah.   I should also add, as a Cancer, I am always on the search for the perfect Moon oil and water oil. I've tried quite a few moons out, BPAL wise and haven't been overly impressed with any of them. I have NA's Diety Moon Bastet and I really like it but it's not my holy grail Moon oil. even with my love for Bast. I missed out on Diety Moon Hathor and kick myself daily for not getting it. I HATE ozone because it turns to Irish Spring on me and it tends to be in a lot of water perfumes.   I will also mention, things that make me squee and make me want it (I mentioned this before): Conan, Lovecraft, Sky Doll (not that this matters, I think I'm the only person who knows what the hell it is), Ancient Egypt especially Bast, Hathor and Thoth, Hermes, mystical Christianity/Christian mythology/symbols, Phillip K Dick (Electric Sheep smell? Anyone? Bueller?), forest, DnD/RPG stuff and ELVES. ELVES ELVES ELVES.   This turned out to be A LOT longer than I had anticipated and I am insanely sorry for being so freaking LONG WINDED. Oi. But hey, I'm a BPALer. Get me talking about perfumes and all bets are off, right   Edit: ___dammit, I did perfume testing today and got a bunch of winners. In addition to Calaveras, Infernal Lover was pretty good, VA Nikolav and NA Ra's Coco Lotus are are killer. DAMMIT. I haven't had this much luck in ever.   I hope your weekend is going well, witch! **hugs**

Okays.   Hey Witch, I was looking at the return address more closely on the package and if you are my witch, I used to live not that far from you, or where you work maybe. I lived in SW 10th, up by OHSU. Small world, eh? And I used to work on NW 5th. Crazy!   More ketchup:   NYCC: I can't really think of any of them standing out. I like the names of a lot of them but I think flowers ruined everything for me. Elephantine Collosus sounded cool, except I'm strangely worried about the rootbeer.   Scarves: I like the 3rd one that Femme-Fatale posted, though the idea of something I can pull over my head is great so a cross btwn 2 and 3? I think I didnt pick 2 because of the color and the way it kind of...wiggles around that girl's face. I also like four, but I hate the color. I love the button detail. Hey Witch   I'm hoping this blog entry finds you well. I'm still wondering who you are! Do you actually live in Portland or are you just very sneaky? Hmm.   We are having a good autumn! Sopi and I are going to be picking pumpkins here pretty soon. We made silly paper ones, heh. I don't think we'll cut them open. I hear that a cut pumpkin outside turns into e bug hotel here in the South. *wretches*   KETCHUP!   Lotion: I usually use coconut oil for moisturizing though I do like Villainess' Whippeds. I have bought Quick or Dead, Mall Santa and Ennui (for my spouse). But I shower at night and like to go to bed not smelling like stuff generally, though I have worn a few cozy NA scents to bed. It's not a daily thing by any means.   The Reveal! If you don't want me to have an anuerysm, please, for the love of Hermes, reveal yourself. It might actually cause blood vessels in my brain to explode. How you reveal yourself? I have no preference. But honestly, please, reveal yourself.   Costumes for pets: My cats are very mellow and might actually wear costumes for a few minutes. But they hate stuff around their neck, so...probably a bad idea.   Starbucks Bear: I hate starbucks coffee and I don't need stuffed animals. I like werewolves though.   Tartchef's New Soap: I haven't tried any of her soaps. Sandalwood Vanilla? This is it, right? Since I dont use a lot of scented soaps, I dunno how. When it comes to perfume, Sandalwood can go powdery on me (though I have a really nice Sandalwood EO) and Vanilla has to be...pretty remarkable. I like the vanilla in Crowley and Eternal Ankh, as well as vanilla musk. *shrug* Your call.   More with the pickiness Sorry, Witch! I'm a jerk today. I you for being my Witch!
