Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween?
ALL YEAR

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive?
Indoor only for me, we don't have much space for outdoor decor (and I have enough outdoor decor sitting in storage)

What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre?

What's your candy preference?
I prefer dark chocolate to milk, and I love flavored chocolates. Outside of that I have a fondness for gummies, and marshmallows.

Speaking of snarky, who's a fan of The Mincing Mockingbird?
I am not familiar with this at all
Candles, wax melts/tarts?
I love candles and scented melts. I was obsessed with scented candles before I found BPAL. However, I tend to prefer wax melts/tarts because i find the scent lasts longer and is more prominent throughout the house/room. With burners/warmers, i don't have to worry about the open flame catching catch tails on fire (burners/warmers that use tea lights/flame are fine, since the flame is covered by the wax holder).
That being said; most of of warmers and burners are now buried in a box in the bottom of my storage unit. I lust after the Yankee candle halloween offerings every year.

My etsy shop and wishlist are in my original questionaire, and in my "wishlist quick reference" link in my signature.
Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay? I LOVE Tokyo Milk scents. But for one reason or another, I never buy them for myself. I can't think of any one scent in particular so anything from them would be lovely I think.

if you're a writer type, would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings.
Any all. No really. I LOVE notebooks and journals. I no longer buy them for myself because I haven't used the ones I currently own, but i won't ever say no to new journals. I am always lusting after them. I don't have a preference for utilitarian or fancy because both have a "place" for me. I love gorgeous, fancy 'books, but feel like i have to reserve them for "Special" content that is worthy of them. Pretty and fancy ones are the ones I used to buy. So I need more "plain" and utilitarian books for everyday scribbles and writings. I really love a lot of the dual use notebooks popping up on kick starter, as well as the notebooks with magnetic pages.

If you want yarn, what colors do you want?
I’m very torn on this. I barely learned how to knit last year, and have not really done much since. But I enjoyed doing it and would eventually like to do more. I already have a bunch of yarn i’m not currently using but I love discovering new brands, new yarn types and color combinations. So maybe if you find something that you think I would absolutely love, or even yarn with a pattern.
To answer the color question, jewel tones, black, greys, and blue/green tones. I do really love yarn that is multiple colors or “ombre”.  

A color palette would be lovely if you use Pinterest. Or just want to post palette photos in your blog.

Are you interested in fabric? Again, what colors, what themes, etc.
Similar to the yarn answer. I have many, many ambitions to make things, but little time and energy. However, I am a sucker for halloween fabric, especially “Elegant halloween” (damask patterns, etc).  

If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer?
I don’t think I have a preference. I’d love to receive handmade items…I think that’s one of the aspects about this I’m looking forward to the most. Art, gloves (fingerless are best), bags, any of it would be wonderful.

What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer?
COFEE. Coffee, coffee, coffee! I do like tea quite a bit as well,but coffee is a comfort drink for me. I’ve been trying to cut down on my caffeine intake, but it’s hard to find good decaf, so a high quality dark roast decaf would be nice.
My coffee preferences run toward dark, bold blends. Cold brew is my default during the summer, and pour over or french press is my favorite for hot in autumn/winter. i do also have a Starbucks Verismo machine. A medium/coarse grind works best with those methods. For tea, decaf blacks would be good. I do like most tea, but I am partial to blacks, earl grey varieties, and anything with a creamy note.  
What are your favorite fandoms, if any? SO MANY. This is really hard for me to answer, especially since i go through phases. maybe ask me about a specific fandom either through a nacho witch, or email my s.o.
Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use?
i have problematic skin (sensitive in general, and i have hormonal/inflammatory cystic acne) so I have a regime down pat, but it’s long and complicated. It would be best not to get me any facial skin care products as what i have now works best, and I have to be careful with gluten which can hide in many different forms when it comes to face products. So best to avoid this.  
BPTP products? Pre-owned okay? I have enough bath oils for now I think. I’ve recently discovered hair gloss, but my hair is so thin, a little goes a long way so I don’t need a whole bottle. I am interested in their atmosphere sprays, and the soaps (if they ever get back). There’s also several clothing and accessory items I’m interested in. Except for the soap and clothing, pre-owned is ok for me Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay? These tend to be too strong and headache inducing for me so I think nay.

Favorite animal? Wolf.

Twilight Alchemy Lab oils? I’ve long had an interest, but never enough to make the plunge. I’m an atheist, although i had pagan/wiccan leanings when I was younger. I really like the idea of using oils as part of a ritual and intention. So, I’m interested but not enough for a whole bottle of anything. Decants of the oils used for removing blocks, increasing prosperity and opportunities, and anything to help with creative ventures would be good.  

Hair Falls?
Another slightly complicated answer for me. (Sorry witch!). I LOVE falls. Always have. I long envied girls in the local goth scene that had them. But I have very thin hair, and there’s just not much for the falls to hold on to. The most I was able to do in the past were yarn falls, which were cute, but i prefer the cyber look. Currently my hair is slightly thicker (but still thin) and short, so there’s really nothing to hold onto. I’m still growing my hair out though, so if you have a way to make falls that will hold onto thin hair, I’d love something! Black/red, black/white, black/green and black/purple are my favored color combinations for this.

How do you feel about knitted stuff? Fancy? Plain? What types of things do you like to wear?
I like knitted stuff! Scarves, fingerless gloves, arm warmers . . .

I'm into beer. How 'bout you? Styles? And booze?
Not as crazy about beer. I love cider, but I'm trying to avoid it due to the sweetness. I'm still down with the hard stuff, though, especially rum, vodka, and tequila.

How do you feel about caramel? Salt or no? With chocolate or without?
God, I adore caramel, salted, chocolatey . . . You name it. Sadly, I love it too much, and I can't have much with my new eating plan. I can smell the stuff, though, and I love anything that smells like caramel apples!

Would you be interested in home made food items?
- garlic dill pickles
- blackberry jam
- dried honey crisp apples
- applesauce (with or without red hots)
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting)
- honey from our bees
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over)
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike?

Garlic dill pickles--these are a freebie for me; send them on!
Blackberry jam--again, the sugar issue
Dried honey crisp apples--I could totally work with these.
Applesauce--can't right now.
Elderberry syrup--not sure?
Honey--again, I could work with it.
Rose petal liquor--holy cow, that sounds cool.
Baked goods--pretty restricted due to dietary limitations. Breads, cookies, etc. are out, sadly.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I usually make flat bottom round pouches with a pocket inside and a drawstring. Possibility of embroidery if we still have the huge commercial machine.

Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?)
No allergies. I wouldn't want a super-fuzzy head covering, as the little bits can get stuck in my contacts, but otherwise no restrictions at all.

Would you want a quilted pot holder?
I've moved into a new place, and I had to toss a lot of old kitchen stuff. So I actually need stuff such as potholders, kitchen towels, etc.

Do you have any preferred flavour of shortbread?
Can't do it, sorry

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK?
Yes, a plane ticket to join you there!

Ditto!

Sure, I try to reuse too.

Definitely.

Love socks. Would like some more striped socks, Halloween socks . . . Once i received a gift card from Sock Dreams; I used it all on gloves, though. Love their fingerless gloves.

Anyone a nail polish fan? What colors interest you?
Yes, but I'm very hard on my nails. I like polishes that involve minimum upkeep and can stand getting knocked around. I really liked the Halloween colors at BPTP last year, but I missed them.

Halloween decor style?
All of it. The more classical/Romantic stuff may stay up all year. Really love retro stuff too, as well as anything in candy corn patterns. Love candy corn, although I'm doing my best not to EAT any of it!

Candles/Wax Melts?
Yes, use them often, especially in the kitchen. I managed to break my tart warmer/oil burner, however. I've been meaning to get a new one for ages.

I generally avoid knitted things (with the exception of alpaca which is so soft and good)

I don't really have much use for fabric but some small Halloweeny pieces might be cool. I am trying to get into nerdy cross-stitch currently (who knows why) so maybe some of that fabric?? Japan has very little over 14 count for some reason

No coffee, tea I usually prefer loose leaf but the place that sold the bags I have used for loose tea stopped selling them which is a pain. I have a diffuser but cleaning it is a pain sometimes and I'm lazy

I don't really have a routine at all. Just wash my face in the shower and put on some moisture water if it feels dry. I should probably have a better routine but I don't really wear makeup or anything so I rarely feel I need to. I do use oil sheets a lot because my skin is a pain sometimes. As for what I would not use... I'll try anything once at least

I never take baths, but I'm good with basically anything shower wise

I'm actually running decant circles for the releases, so I'll get to try it all. Nothing really appealed to me, though.

Living in Florida, knitted items are wasted on me.

Wool is bad for me.

Yes! We're in desperate need of new potholders that are thick and not useless (like our current ones).

Nope. I reuse all my mailing boxes whenever I can.

I love cheap, glittery, fantastic nail polishes for craft purposes.

Only pumpkin bread. Hate all things 'Pumpkin Spiced'.

My husband LOVES decorating for Halloween. We love indoor and outdoor decorating.

Both are great! I tend more toward fall decorations, and my husband loves gory/scary outdoor decorations.

Classical/Traditional, I think, but I also wouldn't mind cute or Victorian.

I like sour candy, gummy candies, Runts, Sour Patch Kids, and the like.

I've never used Haus of Gloi products. None of there Halloween scents interest me.

Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc?
We celebrate Mabon (and all pagan holidays) in our house, so pagan decor is always welcome!

Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? Feel free to elaborate on preferences for any of the above!
We don't do jigsaw puzzles because the cats snatch pieces of them. I like word searches and coloring books.

Knitted things. Specifically scarves/cowls and shawls.....grabby hands or not? Favorite colors? Are you allergic or sensitive to any textiles, ie wools, cashmere, nylon, metallic threads, mohair, alpaca? Knitted washcloths? For the kitchen or for the bath? And again, colors?? Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween?
Hell no. I like the changing of the seasons and the different decorations that go with that, so my decorations rotate. Most of my decorating is more weather/season specific (but I do love christmas decorating), so at the beginning of November, the Weenie decorations go back away until next fall. =) I don't go all-out on Halloween decorating, it's more general fall and then some 'Ween decorations right around the holiday itself.

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive?
My outdoor stuff has to be a little bit restrained (townhouse), I put out a pumpkin and whatnot, but I can't go too nuts. I do a little indoor decorating, and I also decorate my cube at work, because hell, if I have to sit here 40 hours a week, it better have personality.
What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre?
I tend to go for mostly...nature themed? Bare branches, owls, moons, ravens, leaves, a little of the gothic/elegant thing, but a little more minimalist (like I have a couple of grey pumpkins with silhouettes on them, one a raven, one a spider). I don't really do kitsch (sp?) or horror

and finally,
What's your candy preference? fruit candies/gummies, caramel/toffee/honey candies, some chocolate (any shade of chocolate is fine, between the three of us we love it all), oh, and I do like licorice (sweet anyway, I was not a fan of salmiak when I tried it)

Fleece character hats? cute but not my thing, really...I tend to go more for knit hats and wacky colorful stuff. (and stuff that covers my poor ears) Some of my favorite hats with personality are a 'normal' knit hat with earflaps and little round ears on the top of the hat, a fleece hat with all sorts of multicolored strips of fleece tacked onto it to wave in the breeze, and a hat with fun fur in it that looks like I stuck my hand in a light socket.

I’m not a raging collector of anything in particular, but I am quite fond of the HP world. (proud Hufflepuff fwiw)

touristy stuff, maybe a sweet? Oh, I love Fox's Glacier Mints and Fruits. World Market used to carry them here but haven't seen them in ages.

socks are good since winter is a thing here. crew or boot length would be most useful, and I do have large calves to contend with

Anyone a nail polish fan? What colors interest you?
I like it but I do have quite a bit. October from the Post is one I covet (it was on Etsy recently but I can’t justify the shipping for one nail polish). I definitely prefer shimmers and metallics, matte I’m on the fence about…don’t wear cremes or glitters (much as I love glitter, it’s so hard to get the polish off that I hate wearing it)

(merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?) No allergies, and my preference is just for soft things. Acrylic is totally fine, doesn’t need to be fancy. (If you’re foisting yarn off upon me, I work with everything from thread/laceweight to bulky, and everything from bamboo/silk and alpaca to acrylic.)

Love it! It gets cold and nasty here in the PNW in the winter. A lovely previous Witch made me an earmuff/headband thing that I still use. Scarves and fingerless gloves are also awesome. Because it's cold in my office but I still need to type. Prefer plain because it's going to get worn to the barn, and my horse likes to nibble on whatever I'm wearing. So yeah, sturdy is best.

I prefer cider to beer, and the dryer the better. Booze is my friend, and bourbon is my favorite.

Wow, Those all sound amazing. I am especially intrigued by the red hots applesauce and rose petal liquor.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I usually make flat bottom round pouches with a pocket inside and a drawstring. Possibility of embroidery if we still have the huge commercial machine.

I am allergic to rabbits, so angora is problematic. (I forgot to mention this in my questionnaire, so I am glad this question came up. Bad Wench!) Mohair also, because of the tickly bits. I tend to prefer natural fibers.

Yes please! This is especially good timing, since my potholders have all died simultaneously and I am reduced to using side towels.

All of them.

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK?
My son loves malteasers, but then I wouldn't get any, lol! Real English Breakfast tea is always appreciated, since it can be hard to find here. Really, anything that is special to where you live is always fun to try!

Yes, please! Aaaaaal the things from Japan!

Reuse shipping materials?
As long as they are in good shape and get the job done, go for it!

Slytherins, represent!

The only thing I like with Pumpkin Spice is pumpkin pie. I had one sip of a Pumpkin Spice Latte once and had to throw the rest away. :gag:

I have to wear boring slacks and jackets at work. I love to wear vaguely subversive socks. Like a secret rebellion!

Please no more nail polish! I already have too much, plus I usually get shellacs at the salon these days, so they get used even less than before.

Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there?
Yes, but it is pretty outdated. You can at least get a feel for my taste. I am Wench457 there also.

Candles, wax melts/tarts?
No wax melts or tarts please, I like my BPTP atmosphere sprays. I could really use some floating candles though. I have two sconces in my entryway that are designed to be filled with water and floating candles, but I have trouble finding the candles. Or remembering to get them…

New BPAL:
I ordered bottles of A Little More Tea, My Little Grotesque and Coconut Meat, as well as decants of some of the other Lilliths. I’m kind of regretting not getting a decant of Waiting, because initial reviews are making that sound right up my alley. I will also definitely need a backup of De Vos’ Unicorn, because it’s stunning and light enough I can wear it at work.

Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay?
I have never tried it. I have enough of a problem with my BPAL habit lol!

Not a writer type, although I wouldn’t mind a cute notepad for writing notes to put in swaps packages. The one I usually use now is intended to be used to help diagnose dementia, which makes me laugh, but I’m not sure how it is received by my swapees.

If you are ok with knitted things, what colors do you like?
I would love to get something in Slytherin colors, since I don’t have anything like that now. Also I tend to wear a lot of black and gray, so I am trying to branch out into actual colors more. Teal and green and purple are faves.

If striping, what two (or more) colors together?
Green and grey for Slytherin!

If you want yarn, what colors do you want?
No yarn please. I would like to use it, but I already have a bag full that hasn't been touched.

I would love to get a pair of those crocodile stitch fingerless mitts. I would wear them at the office and make my co-workers hella jelly.

Tea – either loose leaf or bagged is fine. I prefer loose leaf, but sometimes don’t have the time to mess with it – like at work.
I’m a bit of a coffee snob, so I always use whole bean and grind it fresh right before brewing. Unflavored and never Starbucks. They over-roast (aka – burn) their beans, to my taste.

What are your favorite fandoms, if any?
Doctor Who! Firefly! Just about anything anime will find a home in my house also.

BPTP products? Pre-owned okay?
Yes, and absolutely!

Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay?
I have an essential oil diffuser in my car instead of an air freshener. I usually use a combination of grapefruit and rosemary EOs.

Favorite animal?
Cats and horses. I am also quite fond of ferrets, although hubby won’t let me have one. The meanie.

Twilight Alchemy Lab oils?
I have several, although it has been a while since I used any of them. I do keep a decant of Clarity in my purse for emergencies.

Hibiscus seeds? Torn. On the one hand, I'm a plant killer. On the other hand, hibiscus are some of my favorite flowers. Off-color needlepoint? I believe my opinion on this has been registered in the thread. For convenience sake, though, here it is again - some of it is awesome. I don't like trinkety things, but I would not be opposed to this. What interests you from the latest (pre-Halloween) BPAL update? From Lilith, I'd try decants of the following:

I also have a fully stocked (no, seriously *fully* stocked, citric acid anyone?) bar, so I'd prefer not to get more unless 1.) you made it or 2.) it's a cool local variety. I do not drink vodka or tequila. Knitted items? Type? Add me to the list of people who appreciate handmade goods but live in hot climates. I'm in Louisiana, we have very little winter. There are a handful of knitted items in my etsy favorites (mostly accessories and small creatures) that could be cool to get something similar to. Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? I get itchy with some wool, but I'm not a big synthetics fan. Not sure what's left after that. Caramel? With chocolate? For these and all other locality questions - I LOVE getting items that are local to you, but there's nothing in particular that I want from any specific places. We haven't bought him shoes yet since he's still learning to walk, but we do let him toddle about on our patio with socks on. Anyone a nail polish fan? What colors interest you? I have an extensive zoya collection, but it's getting a bit old and has been going unused because I never have time. I'll probably be taking advantage of the trade in to dispose of polishes without feeling guilty. Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?) Yes. In fact, pumpkin pie (and it's sub-ingredients) is one of the only good things about fall. I will say, though, that when I do store bought "pumpkin spice" flavored things, I often find it too sweet. What types of things do you like to wear? My pinterest boards and etsy favorites do a pretty good job of sharing my tastes, and I've waxed lyrical on them in past rounds. I have a strict color scheme, shared in my questionnaire. I work from home, but I amassed a pretty extensive work and party wardrobe right before I switched to working from home. So, I feel bad buying clothing but also wish I had a few more casual items. I'm always on the lookout for good jeans, cozy but not too heavy pullover sweaters in my winter colors, and linen or nice sleeveless tops in my warm weather colors. I've also been searching for a red cardigan and black jewelry that would work for both work and casual occasions. I have been considering buying t-shirts with actual things printed on them - preferably in the webcomics/geeky range - but I always second guess it any time I start to buy something (I've put the Think Geek "No" shirt in my basket and then taken it back out so many times now, usually with the NASA onesies for kiddo making a joint trip. I'm a honey affecionado (I really love honey) and our renn Faire has a local honey booth we go to every year and our trip is coming up. Anything from http://www.beefolks.com/default.asp suit your fancy in particular (honey or otherwise since they have other products?) Hand cream, lip balm, and maybe a flavored honey that'd be good in tea or cocktails? Somewhere in one of these questionnaires I described a drink I had with lavender-infused honey and vodka that was fantastic!

Any other renn Faire goodies in general? I have a friend who is a wood carver there and they make adorable geeky pins amount other things and Harry Potter wands? The second part of the Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in? I have tried some things and while I love the aesthetic and the customer service, I don't think their bases and my skin are a good match.

I'm going to the NY Renaissance Faire tomorrow- anything you'd like me to look for? I like idea of Renn Faire and have enjoyed some in my life, though years back. Can't think of anything specific, but I've given lots of preferences in the SW ?aire this year and all my prior entries.

Would you like some hair falls? I can make a single (ponytail) or double (for pigtails). Short, long, types of yarns, ribbons? Extra things (buttons, beads, wire wraps? Colors/color combinations? Stuff to avoid? So, I *want* to be a person who has a place to wear something like this. But, instead, I am mostly at home and at the (conservative) hospital where I work. I worry that it'd be so beautiful but I'd have nowhere to wear it.

I *do* enjoy fun pens, and have to write a lot at work (notes that get shredded once I enter documentation in medical record, but the pens make me happy while doing it and sometimes start conversations that feel safe with new patients).

If you are ok with knitted things, what colors do you like? Black, white, blue, gray - primary for me. Purples and greens are also allowed.
If striping, what two (or more) colors together? Black and white? Black and blue?

I know this may be irritating, but I have answered this question in detail multiple times in other questionnaires on my blog. tl:dr; = bring on the coffee (caff or decaf) and (predominantly decaf/herbal) tea.

If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer? Probably original art. I have several paintings I treasure from BPALers (swaps). I have seen some gorgeous, goth-y crocheted (or knitted, do I even know the difference) items by TwilightEyes and others. I have culled my BPAL collection down so much (350-400 bottles) down to about 50-55 now, and I dream of a beautiful wooden box to put them in with round holes to hold each bottle in place (so they don't all slide around when I take one out), but have no idea where to find such a thing.

What are your favorite fandoms, if any? Buffy + Angel predominantly. I love Charmed, X-Files, and Twin Peaks, but never ventured outside only watching the shows.

Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use? Would not use products tested on animals or overly floral fragranced items. Do use LUSH Full of Grace serum + Celestial daily. I need HIGH octane moisture x 1million in a serum and a moisturizer for my face. I'm flexible with cleansers. Would be open to other products if they fit the above characteristic.

Bath/shower products? Yes. (?) I use LUSH gels (mostly The Olive Branch + Blue Skies. I've used Hot Toddy, and recently gotten but not opened Snowcake and Sonic Death Monkey (the latter of which I diabolically love and has been discontinued). I use a Foreo Luna Mini to clean my face, and a poof to scrub with.

BPTP products? Pre-owned okay? Yep. Yep.

Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay? Yes to essential. Very picky about blends made from fragrance (other than BPAL) that are NOT essential oil blends. Not so picky with anything essential oil.

Favorite animal? Unicorn? Narwhal? Horse? I want a golden retriever, and have a Sphynx and a Lykoi. I like them a lot!

Twilight Alchemy Lab oils? Curious. Uninformed. Don't do rituals, but am curious and intrigued by the mindfulness aspect.

Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween? We do have some pieces *meant* for Halloween that are out all year (i.e. skulls). We have additional things we put up for Halloween only - I'd say we do mild to moderate amounts, and more gothic in nature than kitschy.

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive? We have no yard as we are renting an apartment currently, so indoor only.

Socks/sockdreams/etc: From 13Nights answer: Oh! Space Dyed Terry Shorties - these are the BEST socks I've found for some warmth, fitting in my shoes, and being friendly to plus sized ankles. LOVELOVELOVE. And I have but the one pair. I would love more (in cool colors, black). I am open to any socks that aren't mean to my ankles.

Anyone a nail polish fan? What colored interest you? Yes, but I have a lot. I prefer cool tones, generally dark blue or black. However, I am interested in that neutral - what is it? Hail Satin or something like that from the Post.

How do you feel about knitted stuff?
Fancy? Plain?
Sure! I love the texture, and I've seen several amazing examples knitted by BPALers. I live in Maine, so scarves, gloves, socks, or basically anything for warmth would be welcome. Second answer (related question about yarn): I like things made of yarn, especially since I cannot make them myself. That said, I have a pretty particular aesthetic (more modern than tradiional/country). I have seen many gothic pieces on Facebook and in threads like these from BPALers who do art that I covet. With scarves, etc., the longer the better for me. I like chunky, cuddly stuff.

What types of things do you like to wear?
Comfortable with an edge, mostly black and white with some blue.

I'm into beer. How 'bout you? No!
Styles? None.
And booze? Yes, mostly clear ones. Vodka is my fave when I drink (which isn't that often), but I do enjoy other liquors for special kinds of drinks.

How do you feel about caramel? Very, very good.
Salt or no? Either!
With chocolate or without? Both/either. I do not love it with fruity, goopy stuffs.

Would you be interested in home made food items?
- garlic dill pickles - I'm not sure I'd be into this, though it sounds curious.
- blackberry jam - I like jam, but I don't love a lot of seeds in my jam.
- dried honey crisp apples - NOM!
- applesauce (with or without red hots) - I like apples in all forms. Never had with red hots.
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting) - Not sure about this.
- honey from our bees - I like honey. Someone recently put lavender-infused honey in a cocktail, and it was brilliant.
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over) - This sounds interesting - kinda like the lavender-infused liquor in the drink with the lavender-honey I just mentioned!

(merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?) Oh! I covered this above - no allergies! I like non-itchy fibers. I like to be able to machine-wash things due to dust allergies.

Would you want a quilted pot holder? Sure - so long as it leans modern or gothy-y (think Nightmare Before Christmas) in nature as opposed to traditional/country. I'd love it!

Do you have any prefered flavour of shortbread? Oh! I've only ever had butter, I guess.

Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween? Everyday is Halloween. We vamp it up outdoors for the holiday with grave stones, cobwebs, pumpkins lining the steps and eyeballs hanging from our trees. We have a year-round haunted house decal with an orange moon and gravestones that stays up year-round, as well as our small flock of zombie and skeleton lawn flamingos. Inside, we have a silvered decorative skull, some spooky images, stuffed ghostly or creature plushes (Cthulhu and the ilk), ravens feathers, Baroque skull dish towels, circus stripe comforter, and a few smatterings of spooky goodies indoors year-round. We usually add in our skeleton figures and a couple LED items inside, but the budget and time I have hasn't let me go as crazy as I'd like.

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive? Both would be most welcome. Pink yard flamingos I can modify to join my spooky year-round flock will earn you lots and lots of bonus points. Those flocked velvet candelabra at Michael's and silvered pumpkins and JoAnns are calling my name, but I've sworn to be good. I'd love stuff like this, this, this, this, and/or this.

- I love knitted things. You can get as fancy or as plain as you like. I am trying right now myself to learn lace knitting but so far its not been so great.

I love all stationary- nice pens (I use a fountain pen for day to day), fancy papers, pretty journals, they can be lined or not, and a nice planner would do well for next year. I prefer spiral bound for an organizer, and book bound for journals, and colored pages are fine as well.

I love knitted things and the colours I like are all the jewel tones and black.

Like beer? What kind? Booze?
I used to love a good dark Stout, but unfortunately being gluten free that’s not really an option. I’ve not yet found a gluten free beer I really like, because they tend to be very light. But I am open to gluten free craft beers! Just be careful that they aren’t “gluten removed” beers. Those aren’t really gluten free and will make me sick.

Most liquor is gluten free, but if there’s added colors or flavors you may want to check. This is a really handy list/guide that’s up to date:

If it’s something homemade like everclear with added herbs or flowers, it should be fine as long as barely, malt, and wheat aren’t included.
Malt beverages (like wine coolers) are NOT gluten free and no good.

My preferred liquor is Gin. I used to hate it, so now I love it, but I’m a bit of a snob. Hendricks is my absolutely favorite. I also love flavored liquors. I tend to prefer fruity or floral but not sweet, drinks. I have a fondness for cordials and liquers.

Knitted items? Type?
I love the idea of knitted stuff, but being in Florida there’s not much opportunity to wear them. Loose knit and knitted “lace” would be best. I do have a thing for fingerless gloves as most indoor venues (including my office) are kept freezing cold to combat the heat. I tend to prefer jewel tones and/or earthy colors (muted, sea-blues and greens and grays).

Caramel?
Love it. Salted. With Chocolate. With Marshmallow. With fancy flavorings. It’s just gotta be gluten free (it usually is).

Would you be interested in home made food items? Yes, as long as they are gluten free/made in relatively gluten free area. (I know regular kitchens can’t be totally gluten free, but as long as it’s not near bread or flour or anything).
Also! If something contains apple, just let me know so I don't let the significant other have it. (He can't tolerate apple)

Yes! I've been wanting more funky socks, and some more knee highs but I'm not sure exactly what I want. Stripes are always good. I'm also on the look out/in need of "sock tape" or something that will keep knee highs and high socks from slouching. I haven't looked at the sockdreams site in years though so I don't know what I want anymore.

Is there anything you would like to get from Japan?
I'm not sure. I really miss Japan (I visited in 2007) but now that I'm gluten free I can't really partake in the food goodies. I like anime but there's nothing immediate that comes to mind that I'd want.

I drink lots of tea. I prefer loose. I mostly drink black teas or flavored black teas, but I like green and white as well. I love a good oolong or jasmine tea. I dislike rooibos and herbal teas. I also don't like hibiscus and rosehips. Chai is good.

Scarves and shawls would be amazing. I don't really know much about textiles. I like things soft. Wash clothes would probably not get used.

I like candles but allergies prevent me from using them most of the time. I've never tried wax melts.

- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over)
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike?

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I usually make flat bottom round pouches with a pocket inside and a drawstring. Possibility of embroidery if we still have the huge commercial machine.

And to go along with the previous knitting question...
Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?)

SwitchWitch Notes and Help!

SW Halloween Notes Part 2

I've been pretty scattered lately, but I though this might help you:

I'm a big Disney fan. I have an annual pass for DisneyWorld in Florida, and my favorite thing to do is go for a few hours, ride a few rides and people watch. My favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion (I am obsessed with the wallpaper) and my favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast (I'm very excited for the new live version!). I have a soft spot for Atlantis though, because I think it's really underrated.

If you're crafty, I really love unique and hand crafted items. These don't have to be limited to physical objects though. Digital items or art is good too!

On that note; I don't have any of the cute image "signatures" I see many folks have now. I have the ability to make them in Photoshop but not the time. So if you're really good at such a thing, go for it!

I have a current obsession with mug cakes. I think they're marvelous. I love maxi dresses. Love them. They're perfect for my shape, and for Florida weather
