Are you coveting anything currently available from Haus of Gloi?
Yes! I like HoG scrubs, whipped soap, pumpkin butter, etc. From the Yule update, I pretty much like the sound of all the scents except for Rosy Cheeked (citrus is not my thing). Eggnoggin, His Sweater, and Winter Divinity sound especially good.

Are you coveting anything from the Paintbox Soapworks update that just happened?
Taking a quick look now! Winter Stories, White Winter Hymnal and White Snow, Bright Snow all sound good. I like their scrubs and lotions.

Are you coveting anything from Cocoa Pink?
I have never bought from this company so not particularly, but I am open to trying anything you think I might like!
How do you feel about pomanders?
I don't know what I would do with one! What do you do with them?

How do you feel about savor soaps?
I'm not familiar with them but again, open to trying it!

Do you have feelings about fruitcake? We're talking whiskey soaked homemade fruitcake, not a brick in a festive tin.
I recently tried making my own ~*fancy*~ fruitcake for Christmas and I thought it was really good! So what I learned from this is that whiskey soaked homemade fruitcake is awesome, and the cheapo storebought kind is not. Tl;dr I am a fruitcake snob. So I would love to try your homemade fruitcake!
Any strong nail polish and/or makeup preferences?
I don't wear a ton of makeup, and I am kind of picky about it. My eyeshadow is always the same (one of the various Midnight Cowboy incarnations from Urban Decay) and I usually just wear whatever mascara I got in my latest ipsy bag. (They always seem to send me mascara!) I wear bare minerals foundation and usually blush. I DO love to try new lip products- this is the one area where I am very open to experimentation. I usually wear red lipstick and am always looking for the perfect shade. I am way less picky about nail polish and will basically wear whatever! I like almost all bright or dark colors and am open to crazy glitters or holos or whatever.

Favorite animals?
PUGS! I am obsessed. Also manatees, koalas, pandas, penguins, and sloths. I also like basically all sea creatures, especially cephalopods! Oh and owls and flamingos! And alpacas! I really love animals, haha.
Do you have a strong preference for consumables (soaps, candles, food, etc.) over other stuff?
I don't have a strong preference one way or the other!
Would you be interested in Colorpop?
I don't know what that is! Hang on. Ok, no thanks!

Fudge yes! No nuts please. I am not super into toffee.

Yess they are so cute and I love them! I wish I could make them.

Whimsical is my favorite! I would love a scarf!

All of the above? I like tea, especially stronger black teas (various earl grey types, lapsang souchong, also some on the sweeter side) and savory-ish green teas (like genmaicha) but I also really like floral teas (jasmine, rose, etc.) I love hot cocoa and cider. I love coffee but don't have strong preferences as I am just starting to learn what I like. I don't like flavored coffee. I prefer whole leaf tea and whole bean coffee.
What kind of candles do you like, scent, etc?
Vanilla, vanilla peppermint for the holidays, smoky, pine/evergreen, resins, spice, apple, etc. I am open to foodie scents for candles, whereas I don't usually like them for personal wear.
Mixes or seasonings for the kitchen?
Spices would be food!
What is something new in your life that you wish you had more "things" for?
Hmm I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

We do a lot of baking and holiday good ridiculousness around here...house specialties include lebkuchen (flourless, they're mostly nuts, spices, candied fruit), marzipan, butter caramels (flavored or plain), shortbread crisps, and savory cheese shortbread. Any of these sound appealing?
Savory shortbread sounds amazing! I have never had marzipan. Caramels sound good, too! I like a lot of baked goods, just nothing with nuts! (I'm not allergic or anything- I just do not like the texture.)

What are your top places to get a gift card from?
Probably BPAL, to be honest! I get a lot of use out of Starbucks cards, too.
Which holiday symbols/themes do you like the best (or least)? Such as Santas, snowflakes, reindeer, etc.
I like reindeer (or regular deer) and snowmen!

all of them! dogs, foxes, dragons, frogs, little songbirds, hummingbirds, even the fuzzy wee beastie that ate all of my pea seedlings last spring (my neighbor has rabbits...like, ALL of them it seems).

not a strong preference, but I like things I can use or things that have a purpose, and probably not a huge amount of soap-type stuff because I can only use so much.

I've never had actual fruitcake, so I'd be down to try this. I am familiar with the old Claxton fruitbrick, and we make stollen every year and lebkuchen, which are sweet bread/cookie things with candied fruit (and I love both), but I've never actually had real fruitcake.

Any strong nail polish and/or makeup preferences?
I think I'm basically set on makeup, though I'm still hunting for a nice brick/tawny red family lip stain.

Nail polish I don't wear often, but I love shimmery/metallic/etc., and kind of intrigued by mattes, but not a fan or cremes or anything with a lot of glitter. If I have to fight to get it off later, I won't generally wear it.

whimsical, pretty, basic, I love it all. Cowls, hoods, hats, handwarmers (just the tube with a thumbhole kind rather than the short finger version, I like my fingers free), or mittens, decorative scarf/shawlette type stuff that I can wear indoors as an accent rather than hidden under a heavy coat ...I'm not too picky and I LOVE wearing handmade things.

on ravelry I'm firechild, I have favorites and a ginormous queue, some for me, some for other people/projects

love any tea except rooibos, or anything with licorice root
coffee, generally medium roast, no flavor or lightly flavored (though I can always mix in some plain)
I like hot cocoa, generally not flavored though, just plain chocolate version.

pine/christmas tree scents (like Yankee mistetoe for reference), clean or citrusy scents mostly, votive, tealight, little jars, wax melts, any are usable around here.

I love to cook, so sure. About the only herbs I don't cook with much are rosemary, thyme, and tarragon, but anything not heavy on any of those is great.

My favorite winter visual themes are snow/ice, winter landscapes, winter plants (holly, spruce trees, etc.), animals   Do you like puzzles? yes, both jigsaw type puzzles and brain teasers, especially word games.

Paintbox, any of the Winter edition in bar soap or wax melts. I don't have a burner, but they smell nice just placed around the house, too.

Lacy things or slippers. I never wear mittens or scarves.

Primarily coffee, I love dark roasts, single origins when I can get them (particularly African/Indonesians, please no Costa Rica). Flavored coffees are okay, too, particularly holiday flavors. We don;t have a grinder, so ground for a home espresso machine, if you can...but we can sneak grind it at the grocery store if necessary.
I like tea, but practically never drink it.
Cocoas and ciders are great!

Holiday scented candles are good, as are decorated unscented candles

Definitely! Middle Eastern and Asian spice blends particularly

That's a hard one. I bought an old school sewing machine (complete with table!) awhile back, and I haven't used it because I don't have anything for it...but that's because it's all in storage. I was starting to get into sewing when my other machine broke. But sewing supplies/accessories/books would be welcome. Nothing really "new" in my life, aside from that.

I confess I'm not a huge fan of lebkuchen, but the rest of the house is so it will be appreciatedly consumed by someone if it's in the box. The only marzipan I'm familiar with is the plastic-y commercial stuff that give s me a headache. I'm down with trying homemade if it's different (like homemade fruitcake vs commercial). The rest is all an unqualified yes!

Ummmm...anyplace that sells yarn. Lab or Post, Sock Dreams, etsy, HoG...ebook retailers, like Kobo.

We like Country (rustic) Christmas, Victorian and homemade (I think that was covered in the ?aire. Not so fond of the very plastic and mass produced looking items.

I don't really have the patience for puzzles. Plus I'm pretty sure the cats would disappear/eat some of the pieces, or our husky would sweep it off the table with his big, fluffy tail.

Ummm....I miss some of my bottles in storage, but aside from that, no (sorry, am I a broken record yet?)

Coconut? It depends. I love coconut in thai food, and I have coconut flakes in my chia pudding...I really enjoy coconut popsicles and coconut cream pie. I would probably enjoy the coconut chips I see everywhere. But I loathe macaroons and most baked other baked goods with coconut.
Mint? Again, it depends. I really like mint when I like it...but I don't always like it. It's partially a mood thing
Lavender? I like lavender plants, and I enjoy it as an accent scent (or flavor), but it quickly becomes overwhelming.
Rosewater? Oh, yes
Cardamom? Please!
Candied citrus peel/marmalade? I candy my own citrus peel, and we don;t really eat much jam/jelly/marmalade, but I'd love a good curd.
Anything to absolutely avoid? Meat and meat by-products

Would you like anything crafted for the storage or transport of the BPAL? (Travel imp containers, boxes for 5mls, bottle cozy, etc.)
Probably not a cozy - I have mostly imps and rollerballs (less likely to spill). But a good imp container would be nice. Something to keep them upright so they don't leak

Bath Streusel in Figs in Honey, The Queen is Dead, or Fairytale. Scrub in Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground or Perdita.

Not familiar with them, but maybe a scrub in Ginger Crème Brûlée or Winchester House Kitchen?

(The general theme from above: I prefer scrubs and bath soaks. Not really into soap or scented lotions.)

Do you have any feelings about fruitcake?
Can't say I have enjoyed it in the past, but I have never had any homemade. So I'd be up for sampling, as long as it could be made without raisins or dates.

Any strong nail polish and or makeup preferences?
Nail polish should be at least 3 Free (no DBP, Formaldehyde, or Toluene). Favorite finishes are matte, flakie, and duochrome. Not into metallic/foil.
I have sensitive skin, I don't really wear much makeup, and I am really picky about what I do use, so probably best to avoid that. (That being said, I love Lush's tinted lip balms, mascara, and eyeliner, and Benefit's cheek & lip stains)

How do you feel about pomanders?
Really love them actually! Clove and citrus is the smell of the holidays to me.

How do you feel about savor soaps?
Don't know this brand, but see general product type preferences above.

Not familiar with this one either.

Favorite animals?
I am a lover of animals in general, but especially foxes, cats, sugar gliders, armadillos, bison, and river otters. Also, I'm a big fan of cryptids...kitsune, griffins, jackalope, phoenix, etc.

No real preference regarding consumable or not, but I agree with the preference for objects to be handmade over "plastic-y, store-bought, mass-produced stuff". So if more consumables make that easier for you to do, I'm cool with that!

I love hats and fingerless gloves, and like both silly and pretty styles of things. I'm 44sunsets on Ravelry as well, and have a couple of favorites bundles there that I will probably add more too in the coming days!

All of the above. I like all kinds of tea and herbals except rooibos. I prefer light or medium roast coffees. I love cocoa, especially dark chocolate and mint. Love cider, both alcoholic and non. For booze, I prefer scotch/whiskey/bourbon and beer, but the only thing I really wouldn't be into is tequila.

What kind of candles do you like, scent, etc?
I prefer jar or tin candles to tealights/pillars/etc. For scents, I like citrus, fir or other woods, sage, lavender, fig, and fruit with cardamom, cloves, or other spices. More on the herbal and earthy side than vanillic or floral.

Absolutely. Anything from baking mixes to savory seasoning mixes.

What is something new in your life that you wish you had more "things" for?
Hmmm...I've just started doing some beading/jewelry making. So tools (crimper, loom, bead mat, size 10 beading needles) or seed beads or beginner kits.

I do. Alas, I don't have a good place to do jigsaw puzzles currently, but I love logic puzzles and other puzzle games.

Really, anything from the American Gods series. I want to smell them ALL and it kills me that they are unimpable!! (I bought The Carousel as a gift, so got to test that before sending it on, but any other scent from that line would be welcome.)

I'm good on travel imp containers, but could use some sort of home imp storage solution besides "throw them all in a box". Also, a box that could safely protect one or two 5mls for travel purposes would be nice. I'm set on home storage for 5mls. Fine with plain, but I also dig paisley or lunar motifs and fae (like Froud) or animal art on my storage.

I'm super sad that my Rose City pumpkin butter is almost gone (and I don't see it on the site anymore - it was rose and patchouli.)

Sorbetto or bath streusel only: Winter Stories or Figs in Honey. (no lotions or soap please.) I do love her goat milk body cream and wish she would make the lavender honey scented again. There are plenty other of scents on there I'd love too.

They smell good - I used to make them for people.

No bar soap for me please. I am not really a fan of whipped soap either, but I do like sugar scrubs so I added some of those to my etsy wishlist. I added some whipped soap too, but mostly for the scents that I liked, not for the whipped soap itself.

So I've only ever had one fruitcake that I liked -- cherry almond fruitcake (with pears, marzipan, and amaretto.) I usually beg my mom to make me one every year.

I don't usually wear nail polish (except for BPTP polish!) but I have some on my etsy list that changes color (I'm a sucker for color changing things) and I'm really intrigued by ilnp. (Raven, Abyss, Moonstone, Birefringence, Westwing, By Nightfall, Ava, Walking Home, Missed Calls, Deja Vu....) Makeup wise, I only wear prescriptives foundation and powder. I love black eyeliner that won't smudge or smear (I've been using Stila smudge stick and kat von d tattoo liner but both of those still run a little.) I just got two lippies in another swap but I can always use more (light 'blue leaning' plums/rose.) I don't wear brown, yellow, gold, beige, or cream. I'm into silver, black, grey, purple, blue. Sometimes reds/greens but not often. I have a ton of loose eyeshadows but rarely wear them. I could use some good mascara.

Favorite animals?
Not in any particular order: Bats, pibbles, friesian horses. Mythological: hippocampus, unicorn, gargoyles/grotesques, toothless.

Do you have a strong preference for consumables (soaps, candles, food, etc.) over other stuff?
I have a strong preference for things that are useful as opposed to things that just sit. Games, shirts, foods, yes! (no bar soap please.)

Would you be interested in Colorpop?
The only palette that calls to me is the Yin to your yang. For lippies, I like Ice Cube, Sauce, Baewatch (ugh, I hate the name though), and the Amethyst crystal balm. Black eyeliner.

No thank you.

Do you like toffee or fudge?
Fudge yes, but no nuts or anything in my fudge. Love butterscotch or peanut butter! Plain chocolate is awesome too but my mom makes that, as well as toffee, every year.

I like them! (We make and sell them on our etsy store.) My most favorite one ever was a pit bull amigurumi that was gifted to me.

I really don't like most crocheted wearables, I prefer knitted. I am on Ravelry as misstwilight and I do have some bundles under my favorites called "make for me." Please don't make anything out of my general favorites.

Lately I have been mostly using the keurig to make coffee and tea (or using cold brew coffee.) I do have some coffee beans and tea on my amazon "edibles" wishlist. I like black tea, especially flavored or cinnamon, and mint tea - especially with licorice. (I hate chamomile.) I love sweet hard cider, especially JK Scrumpy and Ace's pumpkin cider. Ghiradelli Double Chocolate cocoa and Vosges Parisian drinking chocolate are my favorites. Alcohol wise, I like just about everything but mostly things like amaretto, baileys, kahlua, sinfire, vanilla vodka, marshmallow vodka, etc.

What kind of candles do you like, scent, etc?
Vanillas, spices, woodsy, smoky, incense, marshmallow, patchouli, resins, tobacco.

Mixes or seasonings for the kitchen?
I'm probably pretty good on spices since I don't cook much.

What is something new in your life that you wish you had more "things" for?
Probably my altar. I could use an altar cloth and some other items.

Food wise: Panera, MOD Pizza, Qdoba/Chipotle, Trader Joes Otherwise: Amazon, Twisted Fiber Art, The Loopy Ewe, Paradise Fibers, Fresh from the Cauldron (etsy), Teeturtle, ThinkGeek, Costco. I'm sure I could think of more but really anywhere would be a treat.

Do you like puzzles?
I play a lot of puzzle games on my ipad but I don't do anything that requires me to hold a pen/pencil and I no longer do jigsaw puzzles (no place to put them, all of our tables are covered in other projects like cutting boards for fabric, sewing machines, etc. plus one table to eat at.) I went from a huge house, to sharing a basement, to having one small room, so my stuff is pretty crammed in here.

Nope. Either way is fine.

How do you feel about the following flavors/ingredients:
Coconut? I like coconut chips and toasted coconut, coconut oil for cooking, coconut sugar for baking, but I'm not really a fan of things like mounds or almond joy.
Mint? I love mint tea (especially combined with licorice root.) Mint frangoes are sometimes good, but otherwise I'm not a huge fan of mint and chocolate, it has to be something I'm in the mood for.
Lavender? I love lavender everything. We made lavender vanilla liqueur this year, as well as cordial for lavender lemonade.
Rosewater? Also made rose petal liqueur, rose jam, etc. Nom!
Cardamom? Yes.
Candied citrus peel/marmalade? My mom received some homemade candied orange peel in a recent ravelry swap and they were SO GOOD. Yes. (not a fan of marmalade though.)
Anything to absolutely avoid? flavor wise, I'm just having a hard time thinking of what to absolutely avoid beside things like mincemeat, pecan pie, lutefisk, things with nuts or marshmallows (texture, not flavor), etc.

I use ammo boxes and mint tins for imps and I have tons of boxes (both travel and storage) for bottles, so I'm good there. I wouldn't mind wall display type things for BPAL though! Like nail polish racks or coffin shaped shadow boxes with bpal sized shelves? Someday I am going to order the BPTP wall sconce for bpal bottles.

Candied citrus peel/marmalade? This is one of my favorite things. Unfortunately, I am on medication that forbids grapefruit, which is one of my great sorrows ( but worth it not to migraine every day, alas).
Anything to absolutely avoid? Dill outside of pickles, BBQ or smoky flavors (I like actual BBQ, but I dislike it out of context and "smoke" flavor just tastes gross to me), blue/veiny/stinky cheeses. Really intensely bitter flavors (my 7 year old likes darker chocolate than I do).

Not really. Awesome farmer's market by my house. They have a local honey stand (which also sells things made from local honey like Propolis tincture!); there's a small apothecary and she additionally makes soaps and hand-made, hand-poured scented candles; plus a guy that makes an array of BBQ and Hot Sauces. I have a Halloween one with a smiling moon one that I love, it's quite colourful. I don't know if they have more in that style, but I love most cards. Awesome farmer's market by my house. They have a local honey stand (which also sells things made from local honey like Propolis tincture!); there's a small apothecary and she additionally makes soaps and hand-made, hand-poured scented candles; plus a guy that makes an array of BBQ and Hot Sauces. The thread has gotten pretty overwhelming, so I'm going to put Q's you've asked directly ( or Q's I think you might want to know the answer to) in this blog entry for your convenience.

Witchees, do you want anything specifically from this page? Color/design wise, the "SFO Sky" mitts caught my eye.       - What are your top three most wanted DC'd or previous LE BPALs?   Goodness, this is hard. I think...   The Last Unicorn

?? Maybe De Sade?   This is hard for me because at this point I've gotten most of my holy grails (Glowing Vulva) and the really expensive DC/LE's don't appeal to me. I went on a BPAL hiatus for 5 years and I'm not really interested in tracking down all of the stuff I missed. I'm open to trying new things, but I'm not super crazy about tracking down much older stuff.

I've always wanted to try the Clockwork Couture scents (Male and Female).

I'd also LOVE to try the "Burning Books SN" that was released recently. But it was super limited I think, so it's probably hard to track. Still, those might give you ideas on what I like.

But, more than that, I now know that I absolutely need to get more Dorian, from like... two years ago.
I'm not sure if you're aware of the kerfluffle with Dorian. It went out of stock last year and just recently has come back. I have half of a very old bottle (12 years!) and while it's AMAZING, it's not quite the Dorian I remember. Right when it went OOS last year I wanted to buy a fresher bottle.

When it came back recently, I snagged a bottle but..it's not the same...at all. it's a lovely scent, but it's not Dorian.

On the other hand, a friend of mine has a bottle from about two years ago, and THAT is the scent I remember. So now...I'm on the hunt for Dorian from around 2012-2015.

Surprisingly, there's only a few I feel really strongly about and really think I want, but quite a few that I'm very curious about and would really like to sniff and get a decant of. There's only one or two I'm really interested in a bottle of. I attached a text document so it doesn't clutter up the email too much.
I feel really bad about how long that is; please don't think I want or expect all of that. If you are able to get "sniffies" or half decants of anything, I am more than ok with that!


The ones I MIGHT be interested in a blind bottle of would be "Violent Gesticulations" ( for the scent description and the title) and " Chiroptophobia (Fear of Bats) "

I bought a decant of the Dead Leaves and Black Musk HG from the Trading Post, but there's (kind of thankfully) not much from the BPTP Halloween Update that I think I'm interested in.

Re: Scrivener and Writing Software, I can technically use Mac and PC, and I use Scrivener on both. I have a MacBook for work and I keep Scrivener on it in case I have a sudden fit of inspiration at work.

I've been wanting to move out to the Pacific NW for years now, and I'm currently trying to find a new job, and would be open to moving out to the PNW. This is part of my personal push to be more productive; I'm trying to find a new job AND finish a novel.

But that being said, realistically? I don't know if I'll be moving within the next year. So let's say that answer is a "probably not moving in the next year". (I guess I could win the lotto, which would have a greater chance of happening than me finding the perfect job and moving out there in the next year).

They have a local honey stand (which also sells things made from local honey like Propolis tincture!); there's a small apothecary and she additionally makes soaps and hand-made, hand-poured scented candles; plus a guy that makes an array of BBQ and Hot Sauces. Scooby Doo? I am somewhat neutral, but my kids all like it.

How do you feel about indie makeup- I love it, but I also create it (I am Back to the Earth), so none is needed

Hand-painted BPAL box: would you want a big wood box (~50 bottles), a small wood box (~20 bottles) or a tin for carrying imps around? I adore boxes and tins of all sort, the more unique and unusual, the better.

K Beauty: No

Cocoa Pink: nope

Haus of Gloi: no

Moonalisa: Again, nope. Generally too many synthetics, though I have wondered about their soap as I can never find an ingredients list.

LUSH: I love a few things from them, but stick to their 100% natural stuff.

Nui Cobalt: Ooo, their soy candles look interesting

Those eyeshadows are all gorgeous!!! I may have mentioned I don't wear a huge amount of makeup so I rarely buy any new things that are fun, but if I were given some I'd have an excuse to play more. I don't wear super dark or bright colours often because I'm so pale and wear brights so infrequently that I feel super awkward wearing them. But interesting neutrals, greens, and coppers usually get worn.

​No pumpkin for me please, chocolate zucchini on the other hand is delicious, but depending on where my lovely witch is from may not fair well in the postal system.

What kind of homemade cookies are your favorite?
Peanut butter, or peanut butter chocolate chip.
Could you use a muscle rub? (We make ours on the lunar cycle and it has menthol, wintergreen, habanero, cayenne, olive oil, st. john's wort, arnica, beeswax, calendula, and ginger. It tingles. We call it "Thunder Butter". If you have really really super sensitive skin, I would recommend against it. And don't take a hot shower or open all of your pores before using it.)

I LOVE baths!!! I'm less found of oils in the tub (because I'm lazy and hate cleaning the bathtub more than I have to) but love salts and things that fizz or bubble.

What style/make/etc of phone do you have? What about size of tablet? Laptop? Would you like decals, skins, or cases for any of these?
I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017 version). It has a boring black case on it right now. I'm totally open to a new nerdy case for it, but I've found finding cases for it to be difficult. I also have a Microsoft Surface which I could use a nice case for but currently do not have.

​The caramel apple lollypops sound delicious but I can't seem to find an ingredient list - if there's dairy its a no go (but then again if it only might contain dairy I'll be fine but actual dairy in food gives me hives).

Are any witchees into coloring books?
No, I've had multiple people try to get me into them for de-stressing (because I'm a fairly stressed out person) but I find them stressful because I feel the ned to colour them in perfectly.

​YES!!!!!! I love all the Broadway shows! I want to see Hamilton (yes I'm super basic), I'd love to see Phantom live, Funny Girl is one of my all time favourite musicals, I also love Wicked, Book of Mormon, Spamalot, Chicago, and tons more.

My first musical ever was Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat. And the only musical I've ever seen that I didn't enjoy much was Cats (I just really dislike Memory).

Imagine you're going to the most gigantic art & craft show imaginable, and money is no object - what kind of things would you gravitate towards and probably spend money on? Include as specific as you want to get!
Knitted or crocheted sweaters (I'm currently working on my first crocheted sweater - it seems to be going alright at the very least). I love the look and feel of over sized grandfather like sweaters, both cardigans and over the head ones.

​I also am always entranced by jewelry. I love gemstone pendants so I'd probably pick up the ones that felt right for me. I used to only gravitate towards stones for love and self-love but honestly I'm in love and happy so I don't feel the need for that I've been struggled with a lot of fatigue lately so maybe some root chakra grounding stones would be useful/what I need to gravitate towards.

The last thing I'm always drawn to at art/craft shows are body products. I love small batch, handmade lotions and soaps.

Nerd. Bascially that's my decorating style anyway, but I just like to mix and match fandoms in my decorating.

​I was literally just talking about this with the BF the other day. I bake and cook a lot and said I really should have an apron to complete my domestic goddess thing. By no means am I actually a domestic goddess, but we joke about that all the time since I'm almost always trying out a new recipe, or crocheting something like a baby blanket or hats for all the babies in my life right now.

So after I rambled with that ridiculous story, I would definitely be open to a cooking apron, preferably something with a pocket in the front, but could be nerdy or cute. But really an apron could be very useful.

​I have a love/hate relationship with socks. I often don't like wearing them around the house because I love bare feet, but my feet are also always freezing so I should wear them more frequently. That being said I always love wearing knee high/over the knee socks with boots, I prefer not to have true woolen socks as they're a little itchy. I should note I have large calves for my size (I'm usually a size 10ish - but slowly losing weight but my calves are still large at about 16 inches circumference) so socks with cool patterns often look awful on me. I do love a good textural pattern like cabling on socks though. In my regular shoes I prefer ankle socks, but those get taken off the moment I'm in the door basically.

Would you be open to previously-loved books?
I would be - a good used bookstore is such a magical place.

Favorite gemstones?
​I love gemstones! I don't have any rose quartz for some reason, because I haven't quite found the right piece for it yet. I love the amethysts I have, a green adventurine pendant, smokey quartz. I also love the look of selenite. I really do just like gemstones of all types though

If you enjoy jewelry do you like discrete and elegant, flashy and gaudy, small and light, or large and chunky?
​I much prefer understated jewelry, simple pendants, small rings. Gaudy and chunky aren't really my style. I hate large stones on rings and things that can get caught on things. While I enjoy a large gemstone pendant the rest of my jewelry is very minimalist.

Any love of pirates or SCA?
​Pirates are cool but I don't have an obsession or anything.

Is there anything you would like from Disney World?
Disney is super cool!

Are you a Potterhead? If so, to which house do you belong?
HUGE Potterhead!!! I'm definitely a Ravenclaw, although my boyfriend and I are in a constant debate about how Gryffindor I am (I think I'm not, he says I am because it's pretty brave to move across the country by myself, twice, for school). He's a Hufflepuff, and I'd say Hufflepuff is my secondary house if I had to choose.

​I'm a huge gamer!!!! I'm a console gamer (ps4). Currently my boyfriend and I are obsessed with Destiny 2 and are playing that almost every night together.

I also LOVE Mass Effect (my boyfriend recently got me a stuffed grunt to go with my Garrus pop figure in my living room), Dragon Age, Horizon Zero Dawn, and the Legend of Zelda. I'm itching to get my hands on a Nintendo Switch which has been very difficult but when I finally buy one I know my time will be taken up by Breath of the Wild.

I love knitted and crocheted scarves, but I live in Edmonton where it feels like winter lasts for 8 months and it gets down to -30 celicius regularly meaning that the beautiful eyelet and lacy scarves aren't as practical here. I love candy, from the super cheap to the specialty kind. I also love chocolate although sometimes it's difficult to get some without milk (if it says may contain milk I'm find but I do avoid ones with milk in the actual ingredients).

Do you want Fidget spinners, desk toys, or other frivolous things that you look at and decide you don't need enough to spend $ on but would make you happy to have?

​I have really long hair but don't really do a lot with it other than ponytails, braids, and wearing it down. If you find something that will help me do more with it I'm totally into that. Plus I'm in the middle of growing out my bangs and it's driving me wild!

​Jams and candy are always good bets for me. I don't really need anymore honey though - I've got a great local supplier when necessary.

Are you interested in any prescription services like serial magazines, Birch box, ipsy?
​I love subscriptions but have never gotten any myself. I know vegan cuts does a beauty box and a food box, and there's some cool looking yoga ones and underwear ones, but I've never made the dive into them. They seem super cool though!

Would you like funky Halloweenie costume makeup like Gothic eyelashes, nail effects, black lipstick, etc.?
I don't really dress up - I haven't done anything special for Halloween in years. Although this year the plan is to hang with my boyfriend and his friends like they usually do.

How do you like to listen to music? CD, 8 track tape, mix tape, Pandora or Spotify, I-tunes?
I use Spotify all the time. I'm rarely not listening to music.

Do you prefer reading on Kindle or actual book? What kind of books do you like? Would you like to be surprised with a scary, classic, horror book?
​I prefer physical books but will read online sometimes as well. I love books in general but do not tend towards horror with the exception of Poe and I have his full collected works.

Candles, Incense, or wax tarts? Do you have favorite brands or Weenies scents for the home? Would you like to receive a wax tarts burner, incense burner, essential oils diffuser, or Halloweenie themed candle holders?
​I'm a candle and diffuser person. I don't have any specific desires for either, but I'm not adverse to them either. But the diffuser oils need to be pure essential oils for my machine.

Witchee: are you interested in crafting materials?
​I'm always down for more yarn but other than that I'm not the biggest crafter, I sew but not particularly often anymore.

​I love all knitted/crocheted things, I have a drawer at work dedicated to sweaters and arm warmers because my office is so bloody cold all the time. I prefer darker colours, jewel tones and/or neutrals but I'm pretty open. I love scarves and arm/handwarmers in particular. And socks. I'll never say no to a great pair of socks.

If you could be ANY character from a film, TV show or book, who would it be and why?
​River Song from Doctor Who was my gut choice because she's so confident and sexy, two things that I'm not very good at being. Plus I have a major crush on Alex Kingston.

​I don't actually know if I would go anywhere. Don't want to start a paradox and all that.

​I LOVE tea!!! I have an obscenely large collections - and I'll drink almost anything. I prefer loose leaf, but will not turn up my nose at bagged tea.

I think I'd like SN: Bluebonnet, since I have family that was affected by Harvey. I might like to smell Take a Knee and Flor de Maga, but they are not must-haves for me.

Well, Hamilton, I've never seen or heard it, so I'd like to. And I love Hedwig and the Angry Inch, but I don't have the soundtrack (either the movie or the stage production).

I seriously love midCentury Modern. But I also love heavy Southwest colonial wood and metal pieces, sort of a southern gothic thing, which is probably different from what others think of southern gothic. But I also am pretty minimalist with my decorating too, I start to get anxious when I have too much “stuff” lying around.

Aprons: Do you wear them, do you want one? Utility, decorative, cooking or crafting?

It seems like there's a question about socks on the questionnaire, but I don't think it got down to this level: Do you wear them? Any particular style (crew length, knee high, anklet, boot, etc.) or fiber (wool, cotton, bamboo anything but wool, etc.) preference?
Yep, I love socks. I susally only wear them in fall and winter, but I love trouser socks for work, in brown black and grey, with different patterns, and ankle or knee socks for casual with designs on them. Like I have a pair with hedgehogs, And I always get a pair of Halloween socks from Target. And I have a pair that says “Carpe the Fuck out of this Diem” Stuff like that. The really short ones though, that just come up over the ankle bones, tend to slip down into my shoes.

Not much of a gamer, but I do play World of Warcraft, so I like cute WoW stuff

Like beer? What styles most appeal to you? - Yes, I do enjoy a good beer. Hefeweizens, chocolate stouts, blondes. I really don't care for IPAs, though. I tend to drink a lot of local breweries - Michigan has several, so the most mainstream beer I've had in a looong time is Bell's Oberon. I like ciders, too. Like booze? What kinds? Yep, Vodka and whiskey are my go-to's of the hard liquor variety. TIto's and Jameson's for preference.

Like Wine? What kinds? This too. (My god, I sound like a lush, lol.) I prefer pinot noir and malbecs in reds and pinot gris/grigio in whites. Not too fond of blush or sparkling wines.

Would you be interested in a set of hand-made hair falls? It's something I do for fun and I can make any length and do an array of colors! That sounds fun. I wouldn't really know how to attach them, but I have wanted to do some wilder color in my hair for a while, and this sounds like a fun option to add color without a dye job

For those who watch certain movies every year for Halloween, what are those movies, whether horror or not? Any favorite horror movies that aren't necessarily on the annual-viewing list? How do you feel about fan-made merch for these movies? I don't make a point of watching them, but I like the classic monster movies like Dracula and the Wolfman. I like newer classics like Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic. I love the Evil Dead series, Bruce Campbell is groovy. Fan-made merch would be fun.

Things like this tend to fall right out of my hair, it is baby-fine and even though I like them (especially bugs for some reason. I have a couple of sparkly bug hairpins and barrettes) I almost never use them because they always fall out.

I don't feel like I'd have time to devote to a subscription magazine, but there are a few boxes that might be fun. I remember seeing one for tea before, and Darby Smart has a mystery DIY box to do crafts with. Also Pusheen Box cos everyone loves Pusheen!

Um, probably not. Well, there was a matte deep indigo blue lipstick in the most recent Avon catalog...

I still listen to CDs a lot. And the CDs I really like I rip to my computer. I do have an Amazon Prime so I have Prime Music too, but mostly CDs.

Do you prefer reading on Kindle or actual book? What kind of books do you like? Would you like to be surprised with a scary, classic, horror book?
I have a Kindle but I prefer actual books. A scary classic horror book would be great!

Candles, Incense, or wax tarts? Do you have favorite brands or Weenies scents for the home? Would you like to receive a wax tarts burner, incense burner, essential oils diffuser, or Halloweenie themed candle holders?
I do all of the above. Incense is mostly used for ritual use. Candles and wax tarts are for fun. My wax tart burner, however, is a small Pyrex bowl on an electric candle warmer. It works, but it ain't pretty. Oh - also I use B&BW Wall Flowers. They had a couple of really cute Halloween-themed light up ones I saw. And I saw a really cute Halloweenie candle holder at Target too.

Witchee: are you interested in crafting materials?
I am pretty good on these. However, I'm a beader. I can always use Beadalon, crimps, and clasps.

I have never had anything handknit, and I covet it all! Not allergic to any fibers that I know of.

If you could be ANY character from a film, TV show or book, who would it be and why?
OK, there is a book I love, called Waking the Moon by Elizabeth Hand. The main character is called Sweeney Cassidy, and her two best friends are basically earthly incarnation of the Goddess and her lover. But it's not all love and puppies. Think more Cybele and Attis. Anyway, Sweeney doesn't really understand it, but she knows she loves her friends, and to see something real, and dark,and huge like that to to try to stand up to it - she really spoke to me.

If you could hop into a time machine and travel anywhere/anytime, where would it be and why?
OK, obscure book reference again. Time Cat by Lloyd Alexander. It's a kid's book, about a boy and his cat. Cats have nine different lives they can visit. They go to Ancient Egypt, Roman Britain, Feudal Japan, Pre-Christian Ireland, Germany During the Burning Times, Peru during the Conquest, and Colonial America. I'm missing a couple. Anyway, this would be almost my ideal time trip.
