Doc Constantine Report post Posted March 23, 2004 It looks like 99% of the orders up to 3-5-04 (Internationals excluded) should be leaving today. I processed their tracking info last night, but since I never got a confirmation for them from the USPS, I'm going to have to assume that none of the recipients did either. I've got a new little helper and she /seems/ to be working out very well. Back to the oil mines... .Brian.

amazonqueen Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Sorry to digress from the mini-dick / ankle biter tangent, but is Canada considered "international"?
ipb Report post Posted March 23, 2004 at least as far as the PO is concerned, you do have to do customs forms, so i would guess so

lorajc Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Does anyone know about the status of the reshipping of lost orders in the US? I am still waiting to hear about a couple. Thanks
ipb Report post Posted March 23, 2004 i split the 2 pages of divergence i caused into its own topic. and brian, if beth didn't show you/tell you/whatever, you really should read it. it's quite humorous
eve_of_destruction Report post Posted March 23, 2004 i received a lovely confirmation email from E... and TWO DIFFERENT emails, two minutes apart, with two different tracking numbers from the USPS. one of them, admittedly, matches my BPAL number, so i'm not worried, really, just.. perplexed. i'm not - to my knowledge - expecting anything from anyone ELSE. could it be that i have finally ordered such a gross amount of stuff that it wouldn't all fit in one box? or did the usps screw up something, somewhere, somehow? best eve ...who promises that if the post orifice brings her something addressed to someone else she will NOT keep it, no matter how nice it smells... Doc Constantine Report post Posted March 24, 2004 Internationals, Canada included will leave tomorrow. They require standing in line, so I try to drop them about twice a week. Eve, if your zipcode is 73071, then the reason you got two emails is because I ran yours twice. Once under 1lb, like the majority of the orders and once at the correct weight so it waould actually get to you. If that isn't your zip, pls disregard. .Brian. amazonqueen Report post Posted March 24, 2004 Thanks, Brian, I wasn't sure. I don't really think of me as international. Hopefully there's one in there for Calgary, I want o much to be part of this forum, but it's hard to do when I don't know what anything smells like yet. ipb Report post Posted March 24, 2004 could it be that i have finally ordered such a gross amount of stuff that it wouldn't all fit in one box? well over 50 imp's ears fit into one of the boxes, so that would have to be one HELL of an order!
friendthegirl Report post Posted March 24, 2004 So, when are the rest of the orders from March 5th going to be sent? I still haven't gotten any confirmation if mine was sent or not. ):

eve_of_destruction Report post Posted March 24, 2004 thanks very kindly for the information, Brian. (yes, that is my zip, and my behemoth of an order...) while lurking, jj_j, i saw you reference our grand state in another post, and would've commented, but it still hasn't occurred to me that i actually live here (i moved back, after 12 years away, in december.) it still makes me giggle that OK driver's licenses say "we know we belong to the land - and the land we belong to is grand!" on them... did any other state in the union get its state song from a broadway musical, or are we, uh, lucky? blackrayne, i co-edited a zine in the mid-80s, and "post orifice" was born, for me, after enduring Bulk Mailing Class... it's come handily back into play when dealing with bpal orders, jerks-on-ebay, etc. plus, i lived in chicago, home of the nation's worst letter-delivery record, so picturing it as a sort of gaping maw, into which all things eventually disappear, was oddly comforting. best eve "why does texas not float away into the gulf of mexico? because oklahoma sucks." Hey Brian (and/or Elizabeth), I have an order that was placed 3-5 and also another placed 3-8... I haven't received any sort of delivery confirmation, and I am wondering if the two orders will be coming along later in the same box to save postage. That's fine and would make perfect sense to me. My zip code is 64108. If you need more information I can PM it to you. I'm not in a rush, I'm just curious. Thanks!

kebechet Report post Posted March 25, 2004 I just found out that Brian reshipped some errant international packages yesterday: some are new orders, some are reshipments, some are going out for the third time, some simply because it's been almost a month and they haven't arrived at their destination. Some of you may be lucky enough to end up with three duplicate packages. =P I will make a public post regarding who specifically went out when I get in tonight just so there's no confusion. There's nothing I can do to control the postal office or customs. I'll be happy to issue refunds to whoever requires one. Just please let me know before I reship again. TY. lorajc Report post Posted March 25, 2004 My "lost order" package reshipment arrived today!!! I was not expecting anything because I did not get a shippng confirmation. Hopefully lots of others will also be pleasantly surprised like I was. Thanks Beth and Gang!!! New Post Office branch seems to be working fine.
