The integration of spirit with the material world: frankincense, styrax, oakmoss, patchouli, and birch tar.

Beth continues to evolve as an artist. This collection is unique, and beautiful, complex, and stunning.

The notes suggested that this was going to be perfect for me. But the oakmoss is not playing well with the beautiful resins. Sharp, not smooth and creamy, like it should be. Patchouli is a winner for me 99 times out of 100, but this one is a miss.

This is the lightest woody scent I have ever tried. Smells like smooth lightly polished birch. It's a shame my skin eats this, b/c it is wonderful in the imp.

Frankincense, a touch of patchouli that darkens it quite a bit, and birch, which makes it smell sort of like root beer on me. It's a somewhat dark, yet light, and familiar and comforting. Low throw, average wear length.

Imp : Elementary school desk (aka; frankincense)

Skin: Woody, incesy-esq. Feels a bit mystical.

Drydown: Blend is very natural, woody, and incense-esq. It feels holy. Drenched in religion and mysticism. Woody, earthy, incensed, textured. Later drydown has more of an almost leather-touch, getting more masculine as I wear it.

Verdict; Exactly what it should be, the Catholic Cross.

I didn't like this at first but I really like it now. When I first got it, I there was a waxy and bitter aspect that I didn't think I could get past. I put it away for a while. Tried it again today, and it's a lovely dry woodsy patchouli, with a hint of herbal sweetness that gives it a playful bubblegum hint that I love. It's somewhere in the family of Plunder without all the spices, or that Luper from a couple years back, something Whist, that also had patchouli.

I like this but I realized I'm not even into tarot at all, and Weenies are coming soon, so....I'll enjoy the decant.
